So unclear, uses ancient projector and masses of handwritten notes that you can't make heads or tails of, tough exams, DOES NOT CURVE WHEN 3/4 THE CLASS FAILS

The text she uses is confusing. She expects us to memorize it. Plus, it is quite nearly impossible to comprehend what she is lecturing about while her notes are SOOO LONG AND UNHELPFUL. We spend the 2 hours with non stop copying... anything she says goes in one ear out the other because of it.

If you want to be treating like a 9 year old, then take Chamberlain. She often yells as she comes to class. If you on her good side then you will do fine. If not..good luck!!

This professor has lied several times reagrding her grading errors. Students are still finding out they did better than originally graded from very first exam. She has said she went through all test again to be sure, but don't believe her!!!She could be the reason you don't get accepted to yor program of choice!!

Most unclear, unhelpful Prof I have ever had. Unconscious, incompetent remarks often come from her mouth. Makes inappropriate comments regarding students performance. Unfair that this person has a job while so many are out of work!

Great great great professor. She sometimes goes a little quick but there is so much material she really tries to get alot of work in class finished to help you out. As long as you read the textbook and show up to class it is a very very easy class.

Amazing professor. Goes very quickly but theres just SOO much material that it's not her fault. Does an amazing job at preparing you for the final. You can get up to 130 points on her test, she does this so her students can enter the final with the highest average possible. Has made me think about becoming a Biology major

She's kind of frantic at times, but she knows her stuff, and isn't so difficult if you actually pay attention and study. I feel bad that she has to put up with a bunch of "college students" that act like they're in 8th grade...can't wait to get out of this school.

If u want to take notes in her class then u better hv fast note taking skills bcuz there r jsut so much to cover n so little time. Her tests r really hard but if you actually study then you will pass n she gives like 40 extra credits on the essays. (90 on MC + 50 on essays = 140!)

Professor Chamberlain is an amazing person and a fabulous professor. She is very into the subject she teaches and knows how to connect with the students. Her examinations are very straight forward and she is very helpful. Definitely take her for any biology class, you won't regret it!!!!!

When I took her Bio 170 class I couldn't keep up with her for the first two weeks and I didn like her but wen I got a 100 on the first exam I started paying attention to class and reading the book and I did very well thru the semester. u wanna pass her class? read the stuff b4 class n take notes... u've got to take time to read...its Bio u know

i absolutely adore professor chamberlain. the class is not easy and there is a ton of information to cover and retain. professor chamberlain is extremely knowledgeable and provides help to anyone who needs it. many students, including myself, are taking her for bio180 now. fantastic professor!

Prof. Chamberlin is probably one of the smartest people I've ever met. She knows her stuff and can answer virtually anything. Be warned you need to know the textbook word for word. Her notes are just guidelines, to pass the tests you need to read the textbook extensively.

Pro chamberlain is a great n nice lady. if u wanna pass her class, u have to study very hard n read the textbook because it is helpful for the exams(40-50 multi choices n 2 essays), if u try hard, u will pass. she gave me an A.

I have no doubt in my mind that Professor Chamberlain is extremely intelligent. If you plan on taking BIO 180 with her be prepared to read the textbook. She doesn't have time to cover everything in the book so she breezes through most of the information. Whatever she doesn't get to however, you're still responsible for! A bit ridiculous in my opini

READ THE TEXTBOOK. And COPY HER NOTES. She's likes to use the old kind of projector, where you wheel it in. Be ready she give a lot of notes and she tends to pull the slide off the thing But her test isn't too hard you just need to study. In response to the person calling her a useless "lecturer", I'm not sure if you're aware what the requirements for being a professor are. It may say she's a "lecturer" in the faculty bio but she does have a masters which is what most of the professors at CSI have. Stop blaming others for your laziness. Read the book, study and you'll do well.

She is simply bad. I love Bio but with her you start hating it. Memorizing 28 chapters is insane. It is basically a self study class, be prepared, and when you ask her something she doen't know. She can be rude at times. Avoid her if you can and if you have other hard classes besides this one. She will make your life miserable.

The only way you will pass is by reading every word of every chapter and taking notes on what you read. Her class notes are useless & the rambling lectures are a waste of your time. 4 tests (all count). I'm not bitter & I don't hate her; but as mentioned below, she turns BIO 180 into a difficult *self-teaching* course, which is highly unfortunate.

I 100% agree with the previous person. You will only pass if you read the book and take your own notes on what you've read. Her class is a waist of time, even though she can be sweet at times. Avoid her, if you can. You will not learn anything unless you read the book and basically teach yourself. Not a good lecturer.

She turns Bio180 into a frustrating experience. I wish she would stop reading of her slides and start teaching. The subject is very interesting, but with her not even trying to teach something about it, it becomes a nightmare. Nevertheless, I love BIO. She is simply not a good teacher. You'll only pass if you read every word in the book. Good Luck!

HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE!! if you are like a robot who can understand a women who talks 10,000 words per minute and goes through 3 huge bio chapters in one day and tests on 12-15 chapters then she is for YOU!!! but be prepared to get a C, D, or a big fat F. Seriously, dont take her, if you do, you'll regret it.

I took her for bio 170 when i took her first test i thought i failed the test because it was very confusing because on her multiple choice question she would have a choice with all of the above and this would be for almost every question. i had her for bio 170 she was a great teacher to me ...i failed my first test and thought it was over for me.. But she helped me when i came and asked for help during her office hours and studied more i ended up with all 90's and above ...so you just have to study because she is not a hard teacher

She does not teach, but rambles through her antique notes she put on overhead projector from another time. She does not teach you anything. I am A student, only because I memorized the chapters. If you want to go insane while "memorizing" 30 chapters, take her. Otherwise look for someone else, who actually teaches you something. NOT recommended!

I got an A, but let me tell you that she teaches you nothing. She just speeds through her note which you will have no time to copy, unless you some kind of robot you can 20 words in one second. She is can also be mean some times. With her bio turns into a nightmare. Take someone else if you have a choice. She is USELESS!!!

Your wasting your money and time, and basically teaching yourself. You can definitely do well on her tests and in the class as long as you read the text. Do not even copy her chicken scratch notes, they are useless. Id come in and listen to her lecture or just simply read the text in class. Other wise take someone that can teach. Terrible!

Awesome teacher. She really cares about her students. As long as you but forth the effort, you will be find. Her exams are very fair and gives you more opportunity to score higher with the essay. She even does the funnest demonstrations to help you comprehend the information.

With her it becomes a pure frustration. She speeds through her notes and teaches you nothing. During the test you will get cramps in your fingers from too much writing. Be prepared - self study class

She might be a caring person (I don't believe she is), but she isn't a good teacher. When you ask her a question she doesn't know, she will make up stuff instead of just admitting that she doesn't know (hate her for that). If you want an A (and I got one) you have to memorize the entire book - Be Warned, self-study class.

One of the best professors in the college with her honest and realistic approach she explains the essentials in detail and offers help whenever asked. Considerate when it came to came to grades and what she put on tests. There is a lot of material but if you study and review her lessons you will pass and make it through the intro bio classes.

However as semester progressed I started to like that old witch people don't be intimidated by her, read the book, in fact go to her office for help she will help u during office hours. Class was unanimously convinced to commit suicide when first meeting this Professor. However, as the labs progressed, I realized that she goes over everything you need to know, it's a lot, but if you study what she asks you will do well on her quizzes/tests, A or B guarantee. If you show that you care she will too - she's a pretty good professor!

Very insightful and deadicated professor. At first i thought it was going to be a very hard class and wanted to change labs. However, i stuck it out and im glad i did. She really is one of the best professors in csi and tells you everything you need to know for a lab test every week. If you study what she tells you, youll do fine.

She is so sweet. She is always willing to help you and stay after to go over anything you may be confused on. Theres a lot of definitions but she makes it clear on what you need to review. Lab quizzes and tests are based on exactly what she covers. Read the text it does help! TAKE HER!

Helpful, Clear and very upfront about what the course requires. The best professor in the college to start out with for Biology! She's enthusiastic , explains the topics while trying to compel you to want to learn more. It's not an easy class and she will tell from the beginning there is a lot of material! Tests are based on syllabus 100%

Professor Chambelain was the best. She is so sweet and adorable and she was very helpful. She really cared about me passing and getting a ood grade and it payed off because she gave me a B. She is very smart and knows the material really well. She tells you what to study for on the test. Take her, shes great !

Dudes..all you have to do is : 1) Read the chapters in the lab manuel 2) Show up and participate. That is how I got an A...i dont know why all these people got so much to say. She will loooove you if you show interest ..so be a survivor and get on her good side =)

Reading the textbook is VERY helpful. For the lab, the quizzes are difficult but she tells you what is important to study for them.

She is a very nice lady who cares about her students and wants them to do well. However, if you are struggling, make sure to learn the topic and do plenty of practice questions because the tests are very hard. She doesn't give extra credit but get on her good side by participating. Everything is from the textbook, gives notes but brief. STUDY!

Professor Chamberlain is a truly amazing professor. She inspired me further to pursue my passion in medicine and research. Her class is fun and interesting. She took time out of her schedule every week to help tutor me during office hours. If you show interest, effort, and passion, she will reciprocate ten-fold. One of the best professors at CSI.

I have Professor Chamberlain for Bio107. She gives lab quizzes every week and tells you what to study in advance. As long as you study, you will pass. Easy lab class.

I had her for bio 106-107 and she is a good professor. She helped me understand alot and also Curved the tests. Still had to study but i got 2 100's, 2 95's and not sure on the final. No homework at all, She brought up good analogies towards the topic which made it understandable and she gave me the A in the end.

Wouldn't take again

To be a lab class , it was harder than the lecture. The only way you could pass is if memorize every chapter of the lab manual. because she even ask for all the scientific names and pictures of all the material "covered". If you want less stress in your life DON'T take her ; otherwise, Just get prepared to read a lot if you have to take her.

Prof. R. Chamberlain is a solid professor. Yes, its a lot of writing and SO many vocabulary words but thats biology. Biology is a complicated field of science but Prof. Chamberlain does a good job at dissecting it. (pun not intended) The textbook is a must in order to pass but she gives out links to websites for the best bargain.
