This guy is great! If you are looking for an intelligent, fair, and awesome prof. take Waldon. Do the work and shut up, it'll pay off on the tests. Which are a mix of open book, take home, and your on your own style. But overall he is cool and wise.

EASY to understand lectures, great examples, helpful & understanding. Knows virtually EVERYTHING on Business Law! Tests are multiple choice/small essays, and he let's you use your notes! If Business Law is in your schedule, bottom line, take Mr. Waldon!

I thought Mr. Waldon was a great teacher.I was always scared and avoided to take business law, but then when I started his class he made it very interesting and easy to understand.Highly recommend to take perfect notes. Mostly take home tests.

I don't know how one can NOT like his classes. He's so good at what he does. I loved his method of teaching and effectiveness. He made the class interesting and entertaining. I NEVER slept in that class, and THAT'S saying something!!!

Very smart and informed teacher. He definitely knows what he is talking about. You will learn a lot in his class. Make sure you write down everything he says--wants you to use the information from your notes on the test, not the information in the book. Show up and you will do fine.

Pro. Waldon is the MAN! I could not understand how anyone could not enjoy his classes. He is always clear on what is wants on his tests and hes lectures are very informational. Anyone that is even thinking about going into law/business needs to take this teacher.

Waldon is awesome! i didnt pass first semester, because i never showed up. As long as you copy all the power point notes down, you will pass. Only 3 or 4 tests.

Most tests are take home but the take home ones are REALLY HARD. Offers a lot of extra credit. Really knowlegeable guy and will answer all questions. I learned a lot of things in the class that you can apply to everday life. Funny stories when he is explaining situations (Bruno and Sally Simmions) lol. I got an "A." Easy final.

Prof. Waldon is a great teacher. He is the reason I changed my major and went on to a great school for my undergrade. He is very intresting and as long as you put in the work he will reward you with a great grade. I got an A in his class and loved his teaching style.

Wow...My favorite professor so far. He really knows his stuff. Gives lots of examples and thoroughly explains material. He is a nice guy willing to help you succeed. Read the material, study, and you will do well. I have learned a lot so far and am thankful I took Bus Law, especially with him!

This prof knows what he is talking about, but problem is he plays with words like most foxiest person in the world, and always deny he hasn't received any e-mail with extra credit, homeworks, question that highly influence your grade..extremely arrogant...

He is very smart and enjoys what he does. If you work full time DO NOT TAKE HIM, expecially if its at night. He is insane with the amount of work he gives you to do outside of class. Almost impossible. He runs out of time so he trys to jam pack everything in three weeks.

Allow to use notes on test, some tests a take home.All you have to do is be in class and listen to him, take notes. Gives some extra credits sometimes.

DO NOT TAKE HIM.He gives SO much work! It's a 3hr class and he uses the entire time and tries to go over it!Also he has you buy 3 books and one of them was about $60 and we ran out of time and couldn't use it b/c he does too much.For the first half of the semester he teaches from a law book that we didn't have.Trust me..this class lame!

He's great!He teaches from powerpoint slides(which are online too)uses textbook to assign homework.We had four exams.You need to study.He allows notes. Our last 3 exams (including the Final) were take home. He knows what he is teaching(so rare nowadays)and will help you if you don't understand something. Extra is offered.

The names he uses for his examples are hilarious, i.e. Bulah, Petunia, etc. So far, seems like an enormous amount of work for the evening section. Wants us to use some other method 4 preparing briefs than what's in the book 4 HW and in-class assignments. However, this method is NOT in book, and won't be used on tests.

this class was easy for me even though i spent all my class time surfing the web. yes theres a lot of homework but its easy and takes some time to do it. most of the tests and part of the final were take home so it shouldn't be hard since you have the book at home.i actually learned a lot about law and i thought this class would be boring :)

Professor Waldon means well but I did not like his teaching style. There is a lot of homework. He is not clear on anything, and I was confused lots of the times. The lectures are off a powerpoint on the books website, and he tends to get side tracked and never covers all material. He is very disorganized, and it can be frusterating.

Take his Pace/Hybrid class, it's way easier than his regular-paced class. You take the tests at home and have a whole day to do them, sometimes even longer. You HAVE to do the homework. He doesn't grade your homework, you just get full or no credit. So just complete it, turn it in before midnight, no late hw. Lectures are interesting. Nice guy.

Professor Waldon is one of the best, if not the best, teachers I've ever had. He lives and breathes the material he teaches; his lectures are extremely helpful in explaining the course material, fun and interesting. A good mark requires some effort. Go to class, take notes, ask questions, work hard=fair grade and rewarding experience.

He is such a nightmare! Do not take his 100% online class!...He does not reply to his email and always appears to be confused. His HW assignments do not make sense and if you ask questions by email he does not reply in time to clear up your question; therefor, you do it wrong and he gives you a big fat F on that assignment. Avoid him like the plaqu

What a great professor! I enrolled in Business Law for the Winter Intersession. It's jam packed with reading and homework, however, if you are organized and you pay attention to his lecture, you will do fine. I got an A. Professor Waldon is eye candy. ;-)

Very nice guy. His exams are hard but he lets you use notes and your book. Lots of homework so you'll need the book. Downside is that he makes you buy the COC edition of the book. Library copy is not the COC edition and it's the same thing but the COC is more expensive. Easy extra credit and homework is easy. Pay attention and you'll do fine.

Professor Waldon knows his subject. He explains every chapter so you can understand it. Made the class fun and you learn a lot. There is a lot of work and reading, but he is very fair if you put in the effort. I will miss the class.

Professor Waldon does an excellent job keeping your attention and explaining every chapter in layman's terms. He is open to questions and very helpful. He wants to see you succeed. Interesting class, learned a lot, reading is a must. Tests are not that hard IF you do the study and reading he recommends. Enjoyed the class!

I had a hard time keeping up in his class, he didnt really give study guides because he said we should know about everything in the chapters but hes very willing to go over any questions you have. Not a huge homework load but i spent hours in the library trying to keep up.

Lets you bring tons of notes for the test, which makes it easy, but you still have to study. Talks about a lot of stuff in class that never shows up on the test. I wasn't interested in this subject so it was kind of boring for me, but not a bad teacher.

Waldon is good u have to go to class & do your home work. Notes are allowed in test. He gives u the tools you have to use them. Do all your home works its easy a hour a week. I would recommend him. Take notes on his powerpoints.

Not helpful, this is the one teacher that I didn't enjoy his class at all. Seems like he doesn't care for the students no feedback given at least to me about what I'm doing right or wrong. Online Course and didn't make it clear, the syllabus was for a class in campus. It was a big mess.

No personalized feedback on homework but he provides all the answer keys afterwards so you can understand what he's looking for. Stories & examples of course material are hilarious, memorable, & relevant. He does an excellent job of illustrating a point. I wouldn't've climbed all the stairs to the 700 bldg in 100° if it wasn't an excellent class.

Professor Waldon is as useful as a car without wheels, which pretty much means he is no help at all. He means well and is a likable fellow, but his teaching style sucks. I wish he gave more quizzes and class work because I felt unprepared when it came to the exam.

Summer class with plenty of reading from the text and online assignments. Prof. allows notes to be used for exams,sometimes unlimited amounts.He is very accessible via email or his office. This was a challenging class. If you show up [on time], do the course materials, you will earn that A.

I'm taking an online summer class with him and it's like a ghost town. Most of the work is on an automated third-party website we had to pay for. As far as I can tell all he does is tally up our exam grades at the end of the class. I feel like I've learned absolutely nothing.

He assigns homework that's ahead of what he's lecturing. I understand if he wants us to stay ahead in the readings but to do assignments on items that he has not taught makes it difficult. He also doesn't look at your homework. If you did not do one small portion of it, he will give a 0. He should at least give credit for what you did complete.

Not recommended. Zero communication. He grades homework either with a perfect score or a zero, nothing in between. The exams are graded tough which is fine if we had any idea what he wants, but like I said, zero communication, you just have to guess. Very likely the worst professors I've taken at COC and I've taken quite a few.

Very good professor! He is very helpful if you make an effort to receive help. I called him once and he talked to me for 40 mins! I took the online summer class and we used the textbook a lot; there's a lot of reading. Be detailed with your homework and tests and you'll do fine. You have to do the IRAC format correctly though, so try to learn it!

Good professor! Make sure you do the homework because it will account for a good portion of your grade. Many of the tests are online and you can find the same questions and answers of the exam on websites that he took word for word so keep that in mind. For the exams look at the power points first and then the book if it's not in the power points.

Waldon is a good teacher. However, he uses "um" every other word. Not a big deal just something to be aware of, as it is very distracting. You get tested before you are taught, which wasnt a big deal as you can use a lot of notes. Also, BUY THE BOOK new because you need the access code!

Professor Walden is awesome! Uses silly but relevant examples to help you understand the concepts of the material. He welcomes questions and it's evident that he has a passion for teaching Law...highly recommend him. You will definitely use the textbook & access code is required. There is hw but not a ridiculous amount.

Great class and teacher, summer course is pretty insane though, so don't take it if you're planning other units too or have a job.. You'll need a new book for the access code, and he's one of the professors that will let you record lectures, which has been a HUGE help in taking a one month accelerated class. Overall really good teacher!

Do not take this class hybrid or online! The homework, quizzes and supplements is far more work than in any other class. He wants IRAC for all homework but the text books asks for general answer's so to figure out the IRAQ can sometimes be challenging and long. This class should be 5 units with all the homework he gives out.

I don't know why these ratings are so high. He was a horrible teacher. He makes it impossible to keep up with the material He rambles for 3-4 days wasting time on the syllabus then come test time the last three chapters your on your own. Each test was about 10 chapters and only an hour to finish more than half the class rushed threw it!

Horrible teacher!! this class has absolutely zero communication between teacher and student. He teaches over like 5 classes so grades always come in late. everything including tests are in class on the computer so it feels like an online class. Everything IRAC format but does not teach IRAC and everything besides tests is full or 0 credit.

Hard but great teacher. Demanding but very professional. No nonsense teacher if you are there to learn he is in your corner and pushing you to succeed. You follow his syllabus you will get it, if you don't you will be lost the entire semester. Ask questions, take notes, do all the required work, attend each class, get help from him if you need.

He's a great guy, however doesn't keep grades up to date and doesn't respond to emails. I understand he teaches a ton of classes, but he has time to post homeworks, but not grades. What is nice though, is he posts lectures on Blackboard. Take his class at your own risk!

If you are expecting an instructor that will communicate with you I'd go elsewhere. He primarily lectures off power points that we aren't allowed to have (different publisher) so you have no form of studying. Tests are long for amount of time given. Website you have to pay for hardly works and he doesn't offer any help troubleshooting.

It is very difficult to get a good grade in his class. He doesn't respond to emails very often and does not make the tests easy at all. He lectures on things that are not on the exam. If you are taking his hybrid class be ready to get a C. Very difficult professor and would not recommend him to anyone.

Tests are essay questions. Given that the teacher is an expert in international business, it's hard to please him with your answers. I can honestly say that his expertise and knowledge is great, but a bit much when trying to teach a beginners course in international business. He didn't work with me on my overall grade. I was 15 points away from a C

Law is a tough course. Prof Waldon cares about the success of his students and makes, what could be a very boring subject, interesting, applicable, and understandable. He demands good work and on-time assignments, but I took a hybrid class and attendance isn't mandatory, however I highly recommend it. Great person and great teacher as well.

hes a great guy, teaches the material well, however, there is a workkk load.. i mean work load. hw is due by midnight, he gives u about half a day to a full day to do it. tests are insanelyyyyy hard, even if you study, you will not do as you expect. he does allow you to drop one exam grade usually the lowest. this class felt like a 5 units class.
