Rabi is the best! She genuinely cares for students and is doing some amazing research! Her lectures are clear and simple, but don't think that it's so easy that you don't have to study. If you have the opportunity to have her as a professor, you're lucky!

Great professor. Very helpful and approachable. Tests are extremely difficult and she grades harshly. That's the trade off. Best teacher in the Chemistry department hands down, possibly the best at the University at Albany.

Absolutely wonderful teacher, one of the best I've ever had. Material is obviously very hard but she is very approachable and helpful. Lectures are great and she is extremely funny.

She can be very stern about things. Doesnt allow alot of crap in her class. UMMM ya just pay attention to her because she is a good teacher and makes things easier to understand

she is definately an awesome teacher... usually breaks up a long lecture by throwing in some funny stories... won't move on in the lecture until she thinks we understand... wants us to ask questions and answers them fully and unlike other teachers that are just there to do research, actually cares and takes time to explain diifficult material in ways that are easier to understand.. definately take a class with her if you have the opportunity!!

Amazing professor. Really cares about her students and wants you to do well. She doesn't take any crap during lecture. She is very funny with her little stories during class. Material by nature is hard, but she helps you to understand it. If you get the chance to take a class with her, TAKE IT!!

She is REALLY helpful and is fair with her tests (the questions come right out of the book). Very understanding and definitely wants you to do well. Finally a good orgo professor @ SUNY :)

Great teacher. Test are fair, not easy but fair. Make sure to understand the material and do the questions in the back of each chapter. Class takes a lot of time, but if you put the effort in you can definately get an A.

Best teacher ever! She's works you hard but she is extremely fair. If you work you'll do well if you don't you'll fail, its that simple with her as your teacher.

Don't mess with her. She works for the state. A good professor but this is still a class where you have to learn things on your own.

More than half of the class withdrew last semester. She is funny and caring, but the course is difficult. The exams with Musah were more difficult than with Block, even though the lecture was more interesting. Make sure to know nomenclature (from Orgo 1&2), there are no structures on the exam. You have to work extremely fast on exams to do well.

Best professor at SUNY Albany, by far! Dr. Musah is intelligent, a great speaker, and an amazing educator. Attendance is not mandatory...unless you want that A. Go to class, read the book, do ALL problems in the back of the chapters and you will get an A. Go to office hours, she goes over things in depth and hints on the important topics for exams.

Organic chemistry is a difficult subject, so most of the time you would have to study on your own. I got an A in this class by doing all problems in the textbook, and I never skipped a class beacuse she gives you little tips for the exam. Exams are fair, questions from the textbook. Overall she is the best chemistry professor I have ever encountere

the people here who claim shes great are INSANE. I took this class after reading their comments which are wrong. Although she IS the better teacher for this subject (vs block)but her tests ARE IMPOSSIBLE too hard. Block although a bad teacher has very easy tests. If your a self-teach person like me. All you need is the text/review questions.

Great teacher makes you understand things very easily and goes over what your confused on. HOWEVER her test are extremly difficult.Ex She makes 10point questions on a 5 part systhesis which you must state every step.Take Block i heard his test are very very easy. GOOD LUCK

BEST chem teacher i have ever had. specifically took this class because she was the professor. she will stop everything to help students understand the concepts.

OMG!! Best teacher every! Highly recommended! and dont listen to all the other bad comments. Chemistry is hard but if you like it she will make it fun and keep you very much awake. She loves when her class is loud and alive just like her. Everytime I left her class I said to myself I can't wait till next time so I can learn more and be entertained!

She is the most interesting fun loving teacher I ever took. Her lecture wakes you up in the morning and makes you want more. I wanted to stay in her class longer but unfortunately is only like a hour long lecture. I wouldn't mind an hour and a half with her. She is awesome! Best orgo teacher on campus by far!

Rabi is my favorite chemistry teacher in the department. Her commitment to teaching and her love of her students and chemistry make her an excellent prof. Her exams are challenging so if you want an A you need to go to class and do all the problems in the back of the book. If you ever feel discouraged go to her office hours, she is very helpful.

She is fantastic. The course is very demanding because if its own nature, but she does her best to alleviate the workload and is very considerate and helpful. First professor I've found here that truly cares to help you.

She announces high grades because she wants to celebrate your success and think's you should to your peer's. Doesn't respond to emails immediately because when she meets with you, she cares. The clearest, most helpful and thorough professor in Chemistry. If you're complaining, you should be listening. Don't squander the time she offers you.

Best chem teacher at UAlbany. The course itself is hard but she will do her best to help you. Ask questions, go to office hour, do all the questions in the book, do CARSS and ur guaranteed to pass . Test questions come right from the textbook. Takes attendance, which might add points to final avg if the class responds to her questions.

She is the best professor I have ever had. She is a gem, not only a good teacher but an excellent person. I took Orgo II with her last summer and got an A. Work hard and show some effort she is always ready to help. I learned so much from her. I wish I could take more classes with her.

Not going to lie, Orgo is hard no matter who you take it with, but Dr. Musah is the best professor I've ever had at UAlbany. She basically paves the way for Orgo II by making sure you understand the concepts as opposed to memorizing the problems. Best lectures. She will help you if you show initiative. Seriously, choose her out of anyone else.

Organic chemistry is difficult. Quiz every class to get you to come and a ton of reading. Its hard to keep up with when you have other classes. You need to be dedicated.

Good Professor, knows what she is talking about and makes the material easier to understand. quiz at the beginning of each class Read the textbook. the quizzes are right from the chapter. Tests are made from end of the chapter questions take the time to do them it will be helpful!

This class was work, but if you want to know Orgo, take it with Dr. Musah. The quizzes every class are meant to make you go to lecture. Office hours are very busy, so arrive early. Do the book problems. If you pay attention in lecture and study 1-2 hours a day, this will not be a hard course.

She's Absolutely AMAZING. Wish she thought all my classes. Defiantly take her. She has everything you what in a Professor. EXTREMELY caring. She sacrifices so much time for her student. Her class is not one to just come a memorize staff. If you are someone that actually likes learning then take her. If not run away cause you wouldn't like it.

First off, learning organic chemistry is tough as is. You will not get an easy orgo class. I found her t be a great professor. Yes she makes you work very hard for it but you end up truly understanding the material and she cares. You'll have quizzes everyday, this makes you come to class as well as read the book. Do all the problems and youll pass

If you are a lazy student and want an easy A, This class is not for you. First off, this woman is the BEST ORGO 1 professor in this school. she genuinely cares for her student and will make so much time for you outside class for you to understand. Forget class skipping because there a quiz every day of class but trust me it pays off.

Professor Musah was such a nice lady! She really tried to help her students, and always was there to assist them. The class though is very hard, and requires you to read the entire chapter, and do the entire problems, which make it very difficult. The final is quite easy.

Musah requires her students to do the work. Following her advice to read the textbook and doing the questions pays off. She obviously cares about students since she's the founder of a free tutoring program on campus. Taking her class made it extremely easy for me to get an A in Orgo 2 while I saw students from other classes suffering.

Professor Musah is a TREMENDOUS teacher. She cares about her student and DOES NOT TRICK US. She is honest and she actually gets emotional when her students do not do as well as she hopes. SHE EXPLICITLY SAYS SHE IS OUR BIGGEST ADVOCATE!!! The only reason people are saying she is bad is because they do not read the chapter or do the chapter problems

I really enjoyed this professor. There is a quiz every class, so you definitely need to read the book chapter/her lecture slides in order to succeed. For exams, she gets her test questions from the textbook, so although there's no mandatory homework, it's important that you do end of chapter problems. Very passionate and caring, highly recommend

I had her for organic chemistry I and I thought she was an amazing professor. She is so welcoming and helpful to anyone that goes to her office hours and answers all questions. This class is doable, you just have to put in the time and your grades will reflect that. The practice problems at the end of the chapter really help.

This is college and people should just be more realistic especially in a course as work intensive as organic chemistry. The amount of effort you put in will be reflected in your grade at the end of the semester. She doesn't "make you" or "force you" to do anything but if you don't do the practice problems you will definitely wish you had....

Professor Musah is very straightforward, in all elements of this course. She tells you the exact way to ace the class like by DOing the END OF CHAPTER QUESTIONS (she uses variations or the same exact questions on exams). Attendance is mandatory,she gives a quiz every session but they're usually only 2 quest. In class she gives hints about the test

If you are a chemistry major, take her. Pre-med? AVOID HER. If you care about your GPA then take it with someone else.

Prof Musah really cares about her students and truly does all that she possibly can for her students! Orgo was not an easy course, but she gives you all the info and explanations you need and literally takes questions for tests straight from the textbook. So if you want a good grade it is completely your responsibility to put in the work.
