Pr. Browne is very nice , helpful and understandable. I learned a lot from her class, she make us think and get involved in discussions. That's why classes were not boring . But it not very easy, every week you will need write response paper and take on line quiz, also there are 3 exams, those are hard. if u want better understand life, take her!

. Make sure to read the chapters previous to the online quizzes, the book is necessary for this, most of the information is in there so don't try and use common knowledge- use the book. exams are easy if you study for them! good class, good professor. :)

I love her style of teaching. She's very interactive and I personally find her class to not be boring. Are discussions can range from 0 to 10 but its always a good time.

I had to leave the semester early for personal reasons to get a full time job and she was really understanding and helpful. She allowed me to make up my exam and was very helpful to me. I definitely recommend her and her class it was so fun and she really knows what she is talking about. I would take her class again.

From the first lecture I could tell that Professor Browne was a laid back type of person who expects your participation in the form of discussion. You can voice your opinions and it NEVER felt like a dull highschool class. The course flows very well, with lectures being modern, interactive and informative. Overall she is not a strict teacher she is considerate. If you did your work you will be fine. But do come to class because it is part of your participant points. You will have weekly online quizzes, they aren't hard at all as long as you read from your textbooks. You should have a text book for this course because it will help you a lot. :)

I enjoyed her class. You will learn something from her. She will not allow you out of the class if you haven't learned the material, in other words. Do not expect that just showing up is enough, because it is not. I would take her again, because you will retain something as a result. Plus she is (a little) silly, not much, but enough.

She was very quick with lectures but if you do the reading you will be fine. Shes very helpful and understanding. There is research papers and a five page group paper at the end of the semester but they are interesting topics so it make it better. The tests are online and simple if you do the reading. Participation is key .

She told us she was pregnant at the end of the semester but we had no idea because she showed up every morning happy and ready to go! Thank you for a great semester

Professor Browne is a sweet person with a lot of knowledge. She's pretty funny but gets down to business and appreciates participation. She's easily approachable too which is nice. My regret is not doing the reading. You can get a C without reading but life is easier if you just read the chapters. Overall one of my favorite classes so far.

This class was fun! Prof. Browne went in great detail about the topics we were dealing with. She prepared lectures for every class that were long, but they were very helpful. The lectures were based off of the chapters we were on in the textbook. This class required a lot of reading which would mainly be used for online quizzes and short papers.

This class is not an easy A, Rachael is very strict as far as attendance and participation goes. There were lots of quizzes and response papers. A few exams, which are tough, but should be easy if you pay close attention to the study guides she provides you. Although this class was a lot of work, Rachael is such a sweetheart and is willing to help.

Professor Browne is a great teacher, very clear about her expectations, gives exam study guides with clear guidelines, and will explain more clearly if you ask. There are online quizzes every week (not timed and relatively easy) and response papers due every other week(easy to get 100% as long as you address and answer all the questions) Also there are 3 exams which are exactly like the study guides she gives. Her Social Problems class is great! The course outlines many topics. There's participation points,weekly quizzes, 3 large exams, 1 mini exam, and a project at the end of the semester. Pretty much one of the best professors I had at CRC. She gives clear examples relating to the topic and her lectures cover everything that is supposed to be on the test. She also provides study guides which are super useful. The tests are pretty easy since the study guide is provided. Just do the work and go to class, easy. Also, she cares a lot.

Great class, loved all the lectures, the content is incredibly interesting, never once felt like I was going to fall asleep. I loved how anything is always open to discussion and debate. Though we had 3 exams throughout the class, she told us almost everything on the test. Theres many quizzes but all the answers are on google and taken at home quizzes with no time limit. One group project at the end of the semester but not very hard. Gives sooooooo much extra credit. Going to each class is only 2 points so it doesnt hurt to skip.

Open book quizes and 3 exams which you get a detailed study guide pretty much of what will be on the exams. There is writing project which is based on your own personal experiences in regards to each chapter (7 chptrs ), classroom presentations and guest speakers due towards end of the semester. You pretty much have the tools to get you a n A+!

She is an amazing teacher! She actually makes lecture interesting and encourages you to have your own opinion. There are 3 exams all of which come with a study guide that tells you exactly what is on the test. Rachael is the best! She makes her lectures very interesting I never even had to take any notes. Her tests are super easy just make sure you follow the study guide she basically gives you all the answers!

She goes over 1 Chapter a week and 1 online/untimed quiz per chapter. About 3-4 exams but she gives study guides that have the info on it. the final is a group project and easy. Honestly a really good teacher who actually teaches with an unbiased mindset. All you do is show up, read the chapters, and study. I am picky with teachers but i like her.

Really easy class, as long as you pay attention you'll be good. There's three tests, and a group project at the end. Goes over roughly one chapter per week, and you have to take a quiz before you attend class (usually not timed unless the class falls behind) Very nice and caring, easy to get along with and access outside of class.

Explained every topic thoroughly and clearly. 1 short exam, 3 regular exams, an open-book online quiz each week, 3 assignments throughout the semester, and 1 group essay/presentation assignment. Professor Browne gives a lot of extra credit, gives redemption quizzes that replace lower scores on previous quizzes, and tries her best to make the class as interactive as possible. Professor Browne is one of the coolest professors Ive had. Real chill. Theres 4 exams, a quiz on canvas for every chapter but only 10 questions untimed. Do the reading and youll pass easily. Theres also 4 papers but only 2 pages. Attendance is mandatory but its a cool class so going isnt a hassle.

Not only did she teach in a way that was really easy to understand but she does her best so you can get a good grade in class. Professor Browne is a great professor. Her lectures pretty much cover the entire chapter of the textbook, so you wont miss any information. She doesnt make the lectures boring at all, I took the class online and she made them pretty interesting and funny. In terms of textbooks, only one is required. I highly recommend her if you take SOC 300.

I've taking Professor Browne online course for Soc 310 class this Fall semester. It was a very interesting and fun class to take. All Professor Browne's video lectures are very fun and interesting to learn. You won't regret taking the course at all. You'll definitely enjoy her class !

I took Prof. Browne for SOC 310 online (asynchronous). Assignments were assigned weekly & consisted of readings, lecture videos, discussion posts and quiz. Pretty easy & study guides for tests are optional but basically give you a preview of the test (HIGHLY RECOMMEND USING IT). Final at the end was not cumulative. Interesting class & pretty easy.

I LOVE professor Browne. Because of her, I am now a Sociology major! I learned so much from her class. I am taking another one of her courses next semester. She cares about her students. Her assignments were not that hard too. Make sure you read her emails too. She gives out study guides that will 100% help you with the exams. Take this professor!!

Professor Browne is one of the best teachers here at CRC, if not the best. Marriage and the Family is essentially another Psychology class, with a discussion and quiz (10 questions) every week. Her tests are really easy, as she gives a study guide which is EXCATLY like the test. She lets you use the study guide on the test! Awesome teacher!

ANSWER EXAM OUTLINES PRIOR TO EXAM, take notes from the book & print her lectures from her PowerPoint & you should get a good grade on Exams. Discussion quest. matter so don't miss them they hold a high percentage of your grade just like your Exams.

She was a great Professor to have. I am a busy mom. Professor Browne was fair, available, and truly wants her students to learn and succeed. She finds ways to help you access resources whether its offering the first chapter of the book online for free while you wait for your book, or giving study guides. I would take her again!

Professor has interesting lecture videos. 2 Discussion posts a week with a quiz and about 3 exams throughout the semester. Application journals come up on you quickly do them through the semester don't wait till the end of the semester.

Professor Browne makes her classes interesting and keeps the participation assignments simple. Reviewing lessons is enough to study for tests too for me personally.

Professor Browne gives fast response to email. She lets you do open book and no time on the quizzes to take as much time you need. She give study guides for the exams.

I really enjoyed this class and how reflecting it was. Stay on top of your work and read the textbook or you will do poorly on the quiz. Professor Browne is very caring, kind, and funny. I recommend this class even if you aren't exactly interested in the topic of marriage and family, it will be eye-opening and helpful in your everyday life.

An easy and fun class with a good teacher to boot. Times when I considered to drop this class because of having too much work due to having multiples classes but glad I didn't, as I got to know a lot more about humans and their institutions. I was especially interested in the social class in the US as I found what social class my family was in.

Professor Browne is amazing! I took her 6 week Soc 300 class and thoroughly enjoyed it. One huge help is the study guides she offers, so be sure to do those.

. This class was really fast-paced but the information is very easy to understand. She gives you a decent amount of work to do it. Quizzes, discussion boards, and extra credit opportunities as well. There were only 3 tests, each test had around 30-40 multiple choice and 2 short answers.

Clear instructions and I was able to find the textbook pdf online. It was a do it at your own pace type of class which was very helpful because of my schedule. Her exams were easy if you actually followed her advice on going over the study guide and making sure to use the resources provided. Overall I would take another one of her courses again.

Professor Browne's class was a pleasure to be in and was such a straightforward yet in-depth introduction into sociology. The workload was very reasonable and her lectures and study guides made the course almost impossible to do bad in. Professor Browne is an amazing teacher. Her lectures were funny and thorough and helpful on the quizzes and exams. She gives a study guide for each exam. The book was helpful and interesting. The assignments are easy to do if you don't wait till the last minute. She is very caring and understanding. She does a wonderful job teaching this course.

Professor Browne is by far one of the best professors I have encountered at CRC. She gives great feedback and the course material is easy to follow along and manageable for the working adult. I have taken two courses with her and have enjoyed them both.

I've taken Professor Browne twice now for SOC310 and SOC321. I regret that I'm done taking my sociology courses because I would like to take her again. Oh my God, I cannot even begin to explain how amazing professor Browne is! I have taken her for SOC 301 and I'm currently taking her for SOC 310 and she's the best. She provides study guides that you can use for your exams and they are SUPER helpful. The quizzes are open note and untimed. She cares A LOT about you wants to make sure you succeed.

I really liked how clear her lectures online were. The class has discussion boards and quizzes every week but they were really simple. The quiz is of the textbook, just rent one from chegg or your library. The exams are off the quizzes and the textbook. she gives out a study guide outline for each exam it was easy to fill in and was a time saver.

I love how she does her online lecture ! This is so much better for me as a single mom and being able to sit and do hw when I have time without having to worry about zoom and being able to just watch her lecture videos on my own time ! The best professor!

I took the online Sociology 310 class and it was great. The syllabus outlined everything you needed to know for the class, so there was zero confusion on the students' end. Professor Browne provides exam study guides that make it extremely easy to complete exams in a timely manner. Video lectures help break down the material to make it easier to understand. Professor Browne is a phenomenal professor and really cares for her students individually. Browne handles her students assignments and grades very fairly. Professor Browne was amazing at getting back to students, she always stayed on top of sending out reminders for assignments that are due. She also had reasonable amount of HW due every week (about 2-3 assignments weekly), she also offered to look through your study guide before doing any exams so you can get the best score possible!

One of the best professors by far that I have taken! Every week there is discussion BUT they are really easy to answer in my opinion (you get two options to answer), there are quizzes but those are also really easy. For exams she gives you a study guide and I would def say do those because the answers are there!!
