I enjoyed this class and the instructors teaching skills. Even during the fast paced summer semester I did not feel stressed. Grading was fair. Teacher was knowledgable and concise.

Racheal Laimon is an hardworking young lecturer who wants you to do your work very well. She is always ready to assist you and she teaches as if it is the easiest thing to do! Extra credits are always there to assist and most importantly, she is amiable and approachable. Recommended to students.

Dr. Laimon is very organized, and the information she presents is very clear. There is a lot of note taking, and you must study the notes and read the chapters, because she thoughly covers the information. This is definetely a class for someone that is really intersted in understanding Psychology. She is an excellent instructor!

Good teacher for the most part. The fact that my class was three hours long was the contributor to my lower grade; it was just too much too fast. She descrimes things in an interesting fashion. YOU MUST STUDY OR YOU WILL FAIL. Her quizes are tough, she wont assign reading but read anyways!

Great teacher. So willing to help and actually teach the material. The hardest part was the survey project, but I learned a lot. She makes it interesting!! We always stayed to the end of class so don't plan on leaving early.

Professor Laimon is a great teacher. However, if you don't take the class seriously, she will sniff you out and treat you accordingly. Attendance is very important. It's hard to catch up if you miss anything, but you will enjoy being there. She makes the time go by fast because she's genuinely interested in what she's teaching.

Will embarrass herself just to help the class remember her examples. Has 4 papers which arent long and she will take the grade from your best 2 so if you do good on the first 2 you wont have to do another. She helps a lot before the exam also. Food and study day at the end!

I liked Laimon a lot. She is a fun young teacher who clearly loves psychology. Her class isn't too difficult by any means as long as you have good attendance and take notes. Oh yea, she's pretty hot and has a good sense of humor too.

Very helpful. She gives you her e-mail and her cell phone number, and usually responds in a timely manner. I didn't notice any sexism towards females, and I am a female. I recommend any gender take her. If you listen in class and take notes, you'll do great!

She is extremely awesome! She interacts with the class every day and has a bit of comedy to keep the boredom down. Quizzes every week but extremely helpful in the long run. I highly recommend her to all!!!

If you print out the powerpoint outlines, fill them in, and pay attention in class, you're sure to get an A. I only used my book when she specifically had us read something from it in class. Super easy, and a wonderful professor!

Very good teacher! All your notes are online, offers extra credit, is very willing to help and answer questions. I saw absolutely no sexism and thought she was very fair and nice to everyone. Doesn't like cell phone use, and you defiantly need to come to class if you want to pass. Would love to take her again, shes great.

This Professor is incredible in my 3 years of school she is by far the best teacher I had yes her class is not easy but she teaches it the right way and I learned a lot from her and her examples and the way she uses all learning techniques is great. I would highly recommend her to anyone!!

She's awesome at keeping it focused in class and getting the stuff done while allowing for lots of discussion. she makes a fool of herself in order to act something out so you can easily understand. Super fun and I was dreading taking this class, but loved it! come to class and study your handouts and you'll EASILY B+ this class.

Very fair. Print and study powerpoints easy B... A with very little extra work. She says that 20% of testing comes from text. I passed with an A and never opened my book a single time. She covers everything well in lecture. Real nice to look at as well.

Teacher is extremely helpful. Has fill in the blank powerpoints to help you learn. She gives you the exam questions in a study guide at the beginning of the term. Best teacher I have had so far.

Dr. Laimon is the best teacher at MOTT. She gives you all the notes & goes over all of them in class. Barely used the book, will give extra credit in beg of semester.Study what she tells you too,you will get an A. She gives lottery scantrons!She doesnt ever respond to emails and she gets irritated quick after class when you need to make up exam.

Dr. Laimon is one of the best teachers I've had so far at Mott. She makes the class fun and interesting. Hardly use the textbook, I only used mine once. As long as you print out the powerpoints and fill them in you should do fine. Didn't really like the lottery scantrons because if you mess up and skip a question you can't fix it.

Very fun class and she is well organized. Maybe a little tough on grading papers (you will write 2 out of 4 papers) but very interesting topics. I found the book to be crucial for this class because some quiz answers come write from the book and not just her teachings. Final exam was easy because she gives you the material beforehand.

If you pay attention in class along with the power points and fill in the blanks the class is super easy. We had a couple papers to write but the instructions were very clear cut. She is an amazing teacher and really makes class fun! I recommend her!

Dr Laimon is a very articulate professor. If you just want a good grade without working hard for it, move on if not then take her. She has an example for everything that maximizes course retention. Yes so what if you have to write 2 papers , you are in college. She can be moody at times but everybody has a bad day so get over it. TAKE THE CLASS.

She is one of the best professors that I have had so far. This was my second time taking one of her classes. She makes the class fun and uses real life examples to make sure everyone understands what she's trying to teach. As long as you print off the powerpoint notes from blackboard and fill them in during class you should do fine.

If you attend all classes, take good notes, and read textbook chapters it is a easy class if you do not read textbook and skip classes you will fail this class. I will take a class where she is instructor anytime

Great professor but very difficult. There is a lot of content to cover and she expects a lot. Study hard and you will pass. She does hold office hours and she genuinely cares about how her students perform and how they are doing in general.

Laimon gives great examples during lectures. Only graded on tests and one paper. Will only use the book about twice for minor details. Notes are powerpoint based. Don't miss class too often, but you could manage to miss one or two and still get an A. Laimon is pretty funny and really knows her stuff. The final exam study guide makes the final easy.

She is very kind and she makes her lectures personable by adding in her examples that she has actually experienced. She keeps your attention by giving you activities and anecdotes so it's not just boring note-taking. Don't be afraid to ask questions. I asked a lot and she answered all of them thoroughly!

I loved having Mrs. Laimon for my Psychology class. She makes the lectures very interesting, making sure that you understand the material. The quizzes were case based. I liked that she didn't get us lost into details, I left that class having a solid base in Psychology. Never a dull moment in her lectures, I would love to recommend her. Amazing!

One of my favorite professors at Mott. Makes lectures enjoyable and fun! Take good notes! Study the study guides as tests are a large portion of your grade. Don't be afraid to ask questions.

Would not recommend taking in the summer or online, because it is a lot of information to cover in a small amount of time

Great professor and very respectful. Gives a lot of information and resources considering it's an online course. The only complaint I have is that 5 question quizzes make up about 80-90% of your grade for the online class. Meaning, if you do bad on one quiz, it will bring you down as much as 2 letter grades.

She doesn't require much work. As long as you read the textbook, this class isn't bad at all. There's a few discussion boards throughout the semester, 4 tests, and weekly quizzes. She occasionally makes videos explaining difficult concepts and the videos are really helpful. Overall she's a nice person that's down to earth. I'd recommend her!

Amazing professor, I took this class online so engaging in the zoom meetings were very helpful, she also records videos explaining the information, she records the zoom meetings so you can go back and watch & also reading the information in the text book helps. she also gives great feedback!

Dr. Laimon was great. You have discussions every couple of weeks and they were not difficult topics to participate in. The tests weren't too awful, the only thing that wasn't great is she gives you 5 minute buffer on tests. Felt rushed for tests. You'll have ample opportunities to turn in extra credit, and she offers 2 slip passes which was great.

Dr. Laimon I absolutely amazing! The worst part about her class is that it is very test heavy. Taking the unit tests are very important and making sure you do good is even more important! Also, the textbook for her class is loose leaf so make sure you have a big binder to fit the book in there. Not hard class to pass, just difficult to study for.

Unit tests and quizzes are very heavy and require much studying but Dr. Laimon provides so many resources. I also like the use of the Slip Weeks, having saved my butt a few times. As long as you study with all the material and don't slack, you'll do fine. Also responded to emails very fast with good communication. Would take again!!
