Tests are very nit-picky. Other than that, the class is not the hardest thing in the world as long as you are ready to read and pay attention in class.
Loved this class and loved Dr. Briggs! She's very enthusiastic and so smart! Really enjoyed coming to class and learned way more than I expected!
40% of grade was based on a group project that we only had the last two weeks of class to complete, despite forming groups for the project at the beginning of the semester. Readings and lectures were interesting. However, tests were long and usually required specific and arbitrary points from lectures/readings.
Not sure about the review below. we knew about the groups from the beginning and we're told about the importance. Either way, really good course, and enjoyed Rachael a lot.
Passionate about her class and really cares if her students understand. She loves questions and is super funny. sometimes brings food for students that relates to lecture. There's a group research project where you'll write a paper and then cook three dishes, but it isn't bad if you try.
She's a pretty good lecturer and cares about the material, she'll bring food to lecture for students to try which is fun, but there is a group project where you'll have to cook three dishes and complete a 3-4 page paper on that which isn't bad at all. That group project also consists of you eating other peoples dishes they cooked. Highly recommend!
Dr. Briggs is a FANTASTIC lecturer who really cares about her work and the class. This class is also one of the more fun and interesting classes I have taken so far. A few key things to note though: group project is worth about 30% of your grade and to balance this out Exam questions are very detailed oriented so be prepared.
Dr. Briggs clearly wants all of her students to do well (lots of extra credit). She is very passionate about the material but sometimes the lectures are boring, she tries to keep the class interesting. The readings are painful sometimes but she goes over them in class. The exams are detailed but if you read and do the study guide it's not too bad
Awesome lady! Pretty funny, lectures are pretty interesting most of the time, and go over the reading. The readings were pretty interesting as well, though boring at times, and usually only a chap per class. Only problem is that directions aren't always clearly given, but she would explain/make up for it if brought to her attention.
Really enjoyed Dr. Briggs this semester. I hate group projects, but putting in the effort and you are graded really easily. Tests are fine if you prepare with the readings, and the lectures are really fascinating. Would recommend for a VP gen ed credit or if you are interested in anthropology.
While Dr. Briggs is extremely knowledgeable and passionate about food studies, I have to say that her super specific exams and long readings often clouded my enjoyment of the topics in class. I attended every class, did the readings, and took notes every lecture, and still struggled in this class. Enjoyed ANTH 151 with her, but not this class.
Professor Briggs is an excellent professor and makes the class very interesting. She is very knowledgeable but she makes the tests questions unnecessarily specific. Also, don't expect the recitation assignments to be returned in a timely manner. You get to know your grade in the class the last week of classes.
Dense, lengthy readings, many of which are boring. Highly specific test questions, terrible turn around time on grading. Great lecturer and interesting content however.
Briggs is an engaging and interesting lecturer. She assigns a lot of reading outside of class and most of the exam questions are taken directly from the reading. This is not a particularly hard class if you take the time to read and participate in class. Briggs also seems stricter on paper than in person- she is quite flexible if you talk to her.
Dr. Briggs was a great professor for sure but this class was a constant struggle. I have to be honest and say I could never really get through the readings so I did not keep up with those over the course of class. When I say a lot of reading, I mean a loooottt of reading. To do well - attend all classes, pay attention, go to office hours.
Dr. Briggs loves teaching this class and it shows. Her lectures are creative and engaging. There are a lot of readings assigned and they can be quite challenging to understand. However, she does give out a study guide for exams and is very open to questions. She also has a group project and movie reviews to bump your grade.
The class is based on 3 books. I have taken classes with Briggs before and actually enjoyed the reading for this class more because it wasn't an insane amount like it usually is. Only one chapter per lecture. Tests are specific, but not terrible. There is a creative group project to help balance out exams.
The worst teacher I have ever had in my entire life. Whether it is having lectures that are a waste of time, not being available for students, or having horribly worded tests this class is horrible. She does not know what she is talking about and makes things up constantly. Normally a good student, but made me hate going to class.
Takes points off of everyones grade if a phone goes off in class, unless it's hers. Terribly boring lectures and her exams are pretty specific. Never take this class with her. It's not an easy gen ed.
Anth 101 is supposed to be easy an easy introduction to anthropology class. Briggs changed the class into a super complicated and vague sex and gender class. Her lectures are boring and extremely hard to comprehend. Everyone I know is struggling and this class is not what anyone signed up for. Do not take it.
A very harsh grader and a ton of work. If you are taking this class for a gen-ed, don't do it. Not an easy grade at all. Need to be an anth major and dedicate all your time to the class.
lectures were not structured at all. The tests were unnecessarily hard and extremely specific. Did not respond to emails and very picky on homework.
Wow. Worst teacher at UNC. Teaches whatever she feels that day. She is NOT a good professor. Topics are very boring and she expects us to read 30+ pages of research papers every night. Ridiculous. Consistently belittles our class.
This class was almost close to impossible to be successful in. The exams are hard as well as ridiculous. DO NOT TAKE.
unbelievably terrible DO NOT TAKE!
Test heavy, tough grader. Exams are very hard and its almost impossible to prepare for the exam. Grades dont reflex effort. If you are taking this for GE, dont do it. Worst experience
Project grading not fair at all; grade not reflect effort.
Toughest professor I have ever had in UNC. Readings are super long, boring, and difficult. She does not care our success in this class. Want to see us suffer
Knowledgeable professor, passionate about the material, willing to answer questions during/after class, and offered a solid amount of extra credit. TA's were nice and graded projects/essays leniently. However, there was a ridiculous amount of assigned readings. Test questions were very specific and came from readings and lectures. Not an easy A.
Dr. Briggs is a really professional lecturer. She repeats previous contents every class to make sure you understand, but sometimes her lectures are confused and not easy to understand. The essay part of tests are easy if you prepare and have basic understandings. Multiple choices are really hard even if you have a good understanding. Don't take it.
professor briggs was really sweet and nice, you can always go talk to her after class and she'll help you. her exams are definitely tricky and a little confusing but you just have to trust your gut and you'll do fine. she tries to make the lectures very interactive and interesting which I really enjoyed.
Average class with no redeeming qualities. Tests are specific, attendance policy is unforgiving (you can start losing whole points after 2 misses depending on if she checks), and the group project seemed irrelevant (I'm not an art major). On top of that, Briggs ran the class like high school. She skipped an entire day because someone's phone rang.
The material itself wasn't difficult to learn or understand, but the way the professor created her tests made it hard to show what you know. She posts the slides online, but they're basically blank so you have to go to class to take notes as she talks. Sometimes you don't understand the point she's trying to make. Takes random attendance.
I cannot explain how much I regret taking this class. caused me far too much stress for little gain. She makes the tests so specific on purpose to fail. She acts like we are puppets that she can control and the material is frankly boring. Stay away.
Dr. Briggs chose gender & sex as last semester's focus. Since this was already my interest, her amazing lectures made me a sexuality studies minor. We had three group projects easily graded by the TA. MC in tests can be difficult, so make sure to pay attention n take good notes in class. DEFINITELY take the class if you are interested in the topic.
I took her class during my first semester of freshman year and I HAD NO IDEA what was going on. I read every book front to back, took good notes, studied super hard, participated in class and still failed every exam. There was a group project that could bring your grade up a lot. Shes chill but it's boring. I ended up pass failing this class
I'm in ANTH 101 with Profressor Briggs and i love it! I wasnt sure about it when the semester began because she teaches it as a class about gender but I'm glad I stuck with it! It's hands down my favorite class!
This class was such a mess! During Covid-19, she made all kinds of changes to the course and never put these changes in a central location. We barely knew what was going on and were always scrambling to do the insane amount of readings she assigns. Terrible communication, I got feedback on an assignment that just said "eh". TAKE A DIFFERENT GEN-ED!
This class was taken online because of COVID so I really tried to be understanding due to the situation, but this course was extremely disorganized and scattered. She didn't offer any clear instructions about assignments and tests and then got annoyed when you asked her to clarify. Don't take this class unless you absolutely need to!
Professor Briggs is an AMAZING professor! So hilarious and she gives plenty of opportunities for extra credit. I took her ANTH 101 class online during COVID and I just couldn't recommend her enough!!!
Dr. Briggs taught an interesting class, and during the pandemic she made many changes to the format of the course. There is A LOT of reading that needs to be done along with reading notes that are for a grade, and when grading she is very harsh in grading, but gave opportunities to redo work. The class is interesting, but takes a lot of effort.
Prof. Briggs was amazing! Our class had a focus on gender and sex and I think she presented the information in a really cool way. I found the quizzes to be easy for the most part, but I know that wasn't the consensus in the class. She offered a lot of extra credit, which helped!
Professor Briggs was very kind and accomodating of situations due to COVID. However, she was pretty disorganized about dates and assignments. There was a lot of reading, much of which was dry and repeated itself. Her lectures were pretty discussion-based. Quizzes were hard, but you could do corrections. The group project was fun and interesting.
I really wanted to like the class, and I thought the content was cool; however, Professor Briggs made the content a bit boring. You could tell she was passionate about what she was teaching, but she failed to inspire us with that same passion. The tests were also very hard for the content taught to us. She also took off points for phones ringing.
This semester the class was focused on the anthropology of gender and sex, and it was hands down my favorite class! There's a little bit of reading and a quiz every week, but it was extremely manageable. I can really tell professor Briggs cares about her students!
Briggs is a pretty decent teacher, but sometimes her lecture can get a little confusing. She is really into anthropological theory and stuff, so the class is difficult if you dont immediately understand some of the more complicated topics. Shes really heavy with the participation, and youll need to depend on recitations/TAs to get through.
Super nice, and really interesting lectures. This class was really focused on learning and discussion rather than just doing assignments, so you can take away a lot from her class. Only thing was the quizzes could be hard/confusing, but as long as you did the readings and pay attention/take good notes you should be fine.
Her class on gender and sex was very easy, and pretty boring. I wouldn't say she's bad, but she didn't manage to convince me on why I should care about anything she talked about during her class. Lectures were interesting but pretty scattered and didn't relate to each other.
Professor Briggs is an AMAZING lecturer - her passion for the subject really shows. She is very understanding of her students situations and works with us to find the best ways to improve her class. Extremely open to feedback. In person, this class would involve sampling food. A total win, though you will have to put in work for the group project.
Lots of reading PDFs that cannot be ctrl+f. Weekly open note quizzes. Opportunity to earn half of the points back on each quiz (huge grade booster). Very clear during her lectures. The final exam is straightforward but cumulative. Had to do an infographic project about one food of your choice.
It's a class about food, obviously it's fun. She was very good at lecturing. However, there was a lot of reading and the recitation and the work for the recs was annoying and extra. But we did get multiple extra credit chances. The main grading point was weekly quizzes, which were sometimes difficult but never less than a 70%. I got an A (online).
Briggs offered a lot of resources to do well in class. As long as you read the material, you will be fine on the weekly quizzes. Lots of taste sampling, like chocolate, which was fun. Very lenient and willing to negotiate with students to improve the class.
Anthropology of Food is a pretty cool concept and class in general. I found some of the key takeaways of the class to be a bit repetitive at times but I really liked Prof. Briggs and the recitation I had for it too. Overall, this class wasn't too stressful and I would take it again. We had weekly quizzes but we had many days to complete them.
Dr. Briggs has a real passion to teach. The class itself is interesting, but it is heavy on the amount of reading you do outside of class. I think the lectures are very interesting and I definitely learned a lot about the culture and grammar of food.
This class was disorganized and towards the end of the semester it felt as if she was making things up on the spot. Overall the class isn't hard but it is frustrating. Also, her and the TA are not very good at responding to emails.
The class itself was a lot of fun: food from a perspective you normally wouldn't use. Professor Briggs is very passionate about what she teaches and is very lenient and caring. The lectures were recorded and posted with slides. There were dense readings and the TA you get really matters since you have a semester long group project you work with.
Very accommodating, lenient and easy grader. Weekly quizzes are straight from lecture and cntrl+f for readings. Extra credit for basically anything. Dont buy the required reading its online.
Dr. Briggs is very nice and gives plenty of opportunities for extra credit. The weekly quizzes were super easy and she drops the lowest grade. Weekly readings can be long but the quizzes are open note so you don't really have to read them super well. TA's were okay. Didn't give much feedback on assignments. Would take again.
This class was not difficult whatsoever, however, the first and only exam we had in this course was the final which was kind of annoying because I didn't know what to expect. The prof didn't respond to emails efficiently. Very easy A, so overall I'd recommend for a credit.
Professor Briggs is an EXCELLENT lecturer. She is very kind and understanding and open to listening and was very accommodating. You are mostly graded on open note weekly quizzes, along with a semester-long group project. I did not find the quizzes difficult and the group project was fine. Take advantage of extra credit! (There's a lot)
Dr. Briggs is an amazing professor who really cares about her students. Her lectures are engaging and she teaches the material because she enjoys it and not because she was forced to! Dr. Briggs will work with you and wants you to succeed. Weekly quizzes are the bulk of the grade, straight from reading. TAKE ANTH123!!! You will NOT regret it!
She is the best teacher ever! I loved this class so much
Dr. Briggs was an exceptional lecturer and truly cared about her students and their well-being. However, I found the content (Gender and Sex) to be very boring and the notes felt like Dr. Briggs's opinions rather than learning anthropology. Overall, I felt like this class was an easy Gen-ed filler, but I did not learn a thing.
Excellent lecturer and emphasizes the learning aspect by putting a whopping 50% weight on weekly quizzes while the final gets only a measly 10% of overall grade. Fortunately, there are quiz corrections to get 1/2 credit back. Engaging content overall but there is a lot to consume.
Dr. Briggs gives students many opportunities to lift their grades and truly cares about students' success. Overall easy A, as long as you pay attention during lectures and complete assignments on time. You need to complete the readings to do well on the weekly quizzes.
Professor Briggs is a great lecturer and I enjoyed the class. The semester long group project was interesting and not difficult and the final exam wasn't too bad either. Quizzes carry the most weight in the class but if you do the weekly readings and pay attention during lectures you'll be fine. Overall, I really enjoyed this class.
Prof Briggs is an amazing lecturer and I loved this class! She has detailed powerpoints for every lecture and posts all necessary readings for each class. The subject matter was also very interesting! The weekly quizzes have the most weight but they are quick and all open note. The main project was a group project on Minecraft which was super fun!
Rachel is so lovely. She was my professor during COVID, so unfortunately I didn't get to taste her awesome snacks, but she did such a great job of keeping everyone engaged in the class despite it being online. The workload was reasonable, and I really enjoyed seeing how the content applies to real life. Lots of fun in this class!
The class was not difficult, but extremely unorganized. Recitation was run by a TA that had no idea what was going on. We were never given rubrics for assignments and were barely given directions for some assignments worth a lot of the grade. Any time I went to Prof. Briggs for questions, she was extremely rude, and never responded to my emails
The subject matter is really interesting, but she has a way of talking around one point for the majority of the lecture. I really enjoyed her class until the end. There was no organization, with a spontaneous full class group project with no directions or guidelines and 1 day to work on it. Be ready to be confused.
Although this class wasn't necessarily difficult, I can't stress just how much I hated it. I never went to class or read but most of the grade comes from easy online quizzes and group projects in recitation. Briggs just isn't a great lecturer, she focuses class on one point and its soooo repetitive and boring I couldn't bring myself to come 2 class
This class was not very difficult but it is still the worst class I have ever taken. Nothing that is talked about in this class matters at all and is a total waste of time. Would adamantly recommend against taking her class.
Genuinely one of the worst professors I've had and this is coming from a chem major. It wasn't that the class was particularly hard, but I learned absolutely nothing. NOTHING! The final is completely unreasonable, we were given 7 essays to prepare only to have to submit two! Very inconsiderate and honestly not approachable
THIS CLASS SUCKS!!! Take literally any other anthropology class, trust me. No one liked this class and Professor Briggs is the worst professor I've ever had. Condescending, unapproachable, and all the material is so boring. Final was so unreasonable and inconsiderate of everyone's time. You will learn more by not taking this class.
She was really understanding towards students and focused on their learning. Instead of a formal final, she gave a group project to get us to engage with the material. For our grade, she let us rate ourselves. She was really passionate about the material, and changed my mind about the importance of food. There are a lot of quizzes and papers though
Why people would complain about a class that gives you an A for free You can do all the work with less than 6 hours each week. Quiz? EZ Group project? EZ Final? This is the easiest final I've ever seen. Honestly, if a class gives you a free A, I don't think you have any reason to complain. If you can't get an A, it's your own problem. (lol)
Easy A class and she is super kind and understanding. Lectures were interesting, but they were long so it got boring really quick. Overall, a super easy and manageable class if you have a busy schedule.
Dr. Briggs is very understanding and very passionate about the topic. As long as you pay attention in lecture and know how to search the readings, quizzes are a breeze. The group project in recitation was repetitive and didn't have clear grading criteria, but overall class is an easy A. Come to class for extra credit and food samples!
Dr. Briggs is an amazing professor, and I'd definitely recommend ANTH 151 to anyone who needs an easy anthropology or gen-ed credit! The class was very easy, but she was very engaging and kept you interested throughout the class. Attendance was mandatory for both the lecture and recitation, but you could get extra credit by coming to every class!
I am a WGST major and I thought this class would be interesting and provoke thoughtful discussions. I don't know how she did it, but she managed to make a class about Gender and Sex boring. We have so many readings yet we talk about none of them, only lectures on what we were "supposed" to understand. Easy class with weekly quizzes, but so boring
Rachel Briggs is a super nice professor who gives somewhat engaging lectures. She assigns a lot of reading but I honestly just don't do it. There are a few short papers a week (take 30 minutes, everyone gets 100s) and a few group projects. Pretty easy A. However, I think you could spend your time learning about something more interesting. Your call
Professor Briggs made me feel like she wanted me to succeed, it didn't feel like she was working against me. I never felt overwhelmed by what I had to do in this class. Almost half your grade comes from weekly quizzes, and a group project on Minecraft worth 20%, and the rest were a breeze. If you need an FC-PAST class take hers.
Professor Briggs was an amazing professor and I loved taking her course. Most of your grade is determined by the weekly quizzes you take, but they are usually 10 multiple-choice questions and that's it. I would 100% recommend this class to anyone and everyone. Also, you get to play Minecraft for the Midterm and Final Project! A very relaxed class.
Such a genuine, caring professor. She truly wants all her students to do well. If we had recitation that week she canceled Friday's lecture. Minecraft project is not too difficult and papers are not hard. Final is only worth 10% of your grade and is very manageable. Take this class!! She also gives 1 point extra credit for perfect attendance.
Dr Briggs is the best professor I have ever had. She genuinely cares about all her students and actually wants all of them to succeed. She is so passionate in her lectures, and I highly recommend this class.
Dr. Briggs is extremely kind and well-spoken. She has a welcoming presence and truly wants to see her students learn and succeed rather than regurgitate information. She did not require attendance but still so many people went because it was so enjoyable.
Easy class made up of weekly take-home quizzes due by Sunday, based mostly on lectures. Attendance is not required, but you get a full percentage point added to your final grade if you go to every class. There are a few group projects that are on Minecraft. Overall, pretty easy class, and Briggs is very kind and understanding.
Professor Briggs is a very down to earth educator that cares about her students and their success. She knows her content well and her lectures tie in with the readings. She has done weekly open note quizzes for both ANTH 101 and ANTH 252 and a group project. Participate for extra credit and get to know her. She's awesome.
I've taken a lot of WGST courses for someone who is not a WGST major and this is the first one that had me thinking even beyond our commonly understood ideas of gender and sex. Professor Briggs is fun and understanding. There are a lot of dense academic readings, though. Still loved this class and am absolutely going to be taking another with her!
Dr. Briggs is an enthusiastic professor who is a greatly respected person. There are weekly online quizzes, a group research project, and a final. You have opportunities for extra credit such as quiz explanations and surveys at end of semester. If you do not have an interest in how food relates to culture, I do not recommend this class.
She gives weekly at home quizzes on the readings but I found most on quizlet. I also found her to be very passionate about this subject. I barely showed up to lectures but still did well enough on the final (only 10% of my grade with 40% of the final being a take home essay). So many extra credit opportunities.
Pretty easy class, even for athletes and frat bros. There is a big group project that extends through the entire semester, but it is fairly reasonable. I found that grading criteria was not very clear at times, which was a little annoying. She offered extra credit on each person's final grade who attended every class, and the final exam was curved.
readings + quizzes due Sunday + group student led lectures + group final + class participation Dr Briggs is amazing and so knowledgeable in this course, she creates such a safe environment and encourages all learning styles and individuals. I came in with no confidence or knowledge for 277 and I'm leaving as a different person who sees so much now
Easy class made up of weekly take-home quizzes due by Sunday, based mostly on lectures and readings. Attendance is not required, but you get a full percentage point added to your final grade if you go to every class. There are a few group projects that are on Minecraft. Overall, pretty easy class, and Briggs is very kind and understanding.
Dr. Briggs is a very sweet woman and extremely passionate about her field. The class is 99% lecture which made it difficult for me to stay focused, but the content was interesting and I enjoyed learning about food. There is a lot of extra credit, so if you pay attention in class and put in effort you will get an A pretty easily.
Prof Briggs is one of the best instructors to take at UNC for a gen ed. Lectures are honestly pretty interesting if you want to pay attention, but even if you don't it's an easy A. The Minecraft project was enjoyable but also heavily relies on having a competent group. Recitations can be annoying sometimes especially when you have a TA like mine.
Genuinely the kindest and most accommodating prof I've ever had. Even if you don't like the course content this class is probably the easiest A out there. It was definitely my relaxing class this semester, I mean you literally play Minecraft for the projects. Probably one of the most fun classes I'll ever take. Highly highly recommend Dr. Briggs!
Dr. Briggs is incredible. She's passionate about what she teaches and she can always connect our personal experiences to class material. She really wants you to learn, she makes it easy to do so, there are no tests, only weekly quizzes and 2 easy group projects. The class was super interesting and changed my perspective a ton.
Nice prof! Discussion heavy- one lecture and one group discussion day. Graded based on weekly quizzes, a group presentation, a final group project, and participation. She was super nice with my class and wanted us to do well.
ANTH151 is an easy A class with a passionate professor. Weekly quizzes and a group project, but plenty of extra credit opportunities. unstuck ai helped me crush the final.
This class is very well organized, and I highly recommend taking it for a gen ed or for the anthropology minor. Attendance was optional and you receive extra credit if you attend all lectures. Instead of midterms there are weekly quizzes that are easy even if you don't do the readings. Dr. Briggs really cares about the wellbeing of her students!
Gives multiple opportunities to get an A through quiz corrections and extra credit. Definitely wants to see her students succeed
This class just didn't make sense to me. The topic is interested but Dr. Briggs gets off track and by the end of the class it is a waste of time to be there. Overall, it is a very easy A but the recitation and group project make it slightly annoying.
Great lectures and interesting topics. Attendance not required but helps for the final (very small portion of the grade). Be careful of who you pick for the group project in recitation- it takes a lot of time and research and can easily be a pain if your group is not helpful.
easiest A ever at UNC. attendance isn't required, no friday lectures on weeks w/ recitation, and assignments were so easy. grades were a group project throughout the semester, weekly quizzes, and occasional 2 page papers (double spaced) that barely required research. only exam was the final, which she gave us like 5 extra credit points on.
Easiest class I have ever taken. I barely showed up to lectures but did not struggle getting an A. Do the group work well and go to recitation. She is a very fun lecturer and the class was interesting. She is a very good person.
She is so sweet and such a good professors. her lectures are engaging but there are a lot of readings and a the recitations are a little tedious but I had fun over all and it was a decently easy class!
Dr. Briggs is so sweet and is a very passionate lecturer. I learned a lot and she was super understanding if students ever needed anything from her. Half of your grade is made up of take-home quizzes, the other majority is a semester-long group project that was really fun. You get one point added to your final grade for attending every lecture!
Great for gen eds! Attendance was optional, online quizzes, no exams. 1 bigger group project. She brings in food some days. Overall super chill and exactly what a gen ed should be like. Highly recommend!
I never even write reviews, but Dr Briggs is truly a great professor. She wants everyone to do well as long as you at least try, no matter what your anthropology background is. If you commit to the weekly take-home quizzes and stay on top of simple group projects, you will inevitably do great!
I love her
Prof Briggs is truly a great professor. Even if you don't necessarily like anth, this is a great class. Grade is mostly based on take home weekly quizzes that aren't bad and some Minecraft group projects that are super fun. Briggs is super understanding and kind and gives a lot of extra credit opportunities. Definitely recommend!
She da goat. Big group porject worth 30% of ur grade, but its really lax on the grading and she is extremely generous. Extra credit is everywhere, and the quizzes are kinda hard but come straight from the slides.
Dr. Briggs is a brilliant mind and passionate about what she teaches. However, her lectures were at times, seriously boring. The reading is very academic and above most college student's minds- I would even argue above most ANTH majors. If you are not an anthropology major, I would stay away from this course. She also has a strong liberal agenda.
She is very nice and understanding. Lots of extra credit. Fun projects. Definitely recommend.
I loved Dr. Briggs. She was extremely passionate and knowledgable about everything we talked about. She will make you question a lot of things too. Some of the readings are difficult to read and understand but she will go through it with the class. She brings food for tasting days and the final is everyone bringing a dish. Please take this class!!
