Very good professor, requires a lot of work. collects homework and grades it. Has a quiz every week. But she is very patient, and takes her time to explain to basically every person in the class. Do your work, and don't hesitate to ask her for help at anytime and you will get a good grade.
She was a amazing teacher. she taught very clearly and well orgnaized. She respected every student, and is very generous and kind.
Very good teacher! Detailed in her teaching, and willingness to help outside of class.
very good teacher. easy tests and very helpful
very nice teacher. you would understand everything clearly. her tests are easy most of the times. but you have to becareful not making any mistakes if you want an A in class. because each question is worth so many points that with little mistakes you can take away your change of getting an A in theclass. she give bonus points too.
Tests are not EASY!! You have to look WHOLE NUMBER of exercise problems. Don't Sleep if you want to get A on this class. HAVE FUN!

She is such a nice professor. She helps all of her students and the class is easy to understand!
She is a great teacher but her class is not an easy one. She is helpful and understanding and she tries her hardest to help you in anyway that she can. I would definitely recommend her. If you do all the homework it will help A LOT!
NICE, EASY, KIND
She makes you do everything online which sucks and makes everything harder to understand. She often times doesnt even update the online hws and reviews and makes you do them after the unit is over. She talks a million mph and you can take pages and pages of notes that will not even come in handy.
REALLY good teacher. Very prolific/fluid speaker, willing to help anyone, and explains things effectively. Really nice, also. Available for office hours a lot. Be sure and pay attention though; she goes through things kind of briskly (but she's always willing to stop and help).
Helpful, fair, fun, and understanding.
Nice, friendly, flexible, and dedicated. Math was my most hated class, but she makes me love it. She spends time on everybody equally. It's true you'll have online homeworks a lot, but that really helps if you know how to use it. Work hard on ur homeworks and pay attention in class and u'll get a good grade. I have 1 point to go for my A right now.
She is pretty cool, she is helpful but only if you ask. definitely need to do all your homework if you want to succeed. i do recommend
She was really nice and a really good teacher. If you aren't that good at math, take her!
Amazing teacher, wish all my teachers were as cool as she is.
she's a very nice teacher and eager to help her student when her student's demands it. nice person overall. I wish i had her for this semester
A good teacher if you like a lot of homework, Math xl and textbook, the quizs and tests can be difficult too, but she is a good teacher.
Amazing teacher. She is very easy going. Willing to help even outside class time. Readily available to answer your questions. She knows her stuff. She explains topics clearly - and spends ample time in the next class to answer any questions that came up during homework etc. She keeps the class engaged. I would definitely recommend her.
She is amazing. She knows her stuff and always willing to help her students out. Cool person overall and spends time on each individual students. Assignments are easy and straightforward (she gives extra credit). Oh and she is not bad looking either
OMG! miss Saidi is sent from heaven! Her teaching method can be described as a calling.
Professor Saidi is the best professor ever. She always encourages us to read the book and to do the exercises in order to better understand the materials. She is fair in grading. She devotes her time to assist students with course explanation and exercises. She work overtime without been paid accordingly. She is humble and pationate about teaching.
At first I felt overwhelmed because of the amount of information required for us to know in a short amount of time. But she's very helpful and encouraging. She explains it thoroughly, sometimes more than necessary. She also smiles a lot which is a big plus since it makes her more approachable. You will get an A if you do the work!
I've never had a professor who went to so much trouble to make you understand one problem. She makes the class just so much easier to understand(*w/ singing and dancing). She's been the best professor I've had and really cares about your success. She'll work with you and get you on track. Best ever and would recommend in a heart beat!
Best teacher! Her methods of teaching help you acknowledge that she cares about your grades and that she wants to see you succeed. She makes the class so interesting and I would definitely recommend her to all!!!
About as good of a math teacher you're going to find. More than willing to help students who need it, clear on what you need to know for tests, and has lots of easy assignments to boost your grade.
Probably the best math teacher I've ever had. She makes sure everyone is learning the material while still maintaining a good pace. I take her for math whenever I can.
The best math professor I have ever had. Math is weak subject and I have an A in this class! She is very willing to help, gives a lot of little extra credits, and is kind on grading. She is a little unorganized but it doesn't get in the way of learning. You can tell she really wants you to do a good job!
She was a really nice lady and definitely wants you to pass. I was having some trouble and went in before/after class for help and she was very clear. I would recommend her for sure.
She is disorganized professor ,and she is so fast
Serious work but she gives you the tools to get an A .. Flexible but not a joke.
Do your part and you'll pass. Slack and you will crash and burn simple as that. Be prepared to work and don't expect hand outs.
Where do I begin? She's so nice and helpful! She takes time off of her day to schedule study sessions before finals. She makes you not want to fail her class. I've never had such a helpful professor. Got Bs on every exam but I never did homework or studied but if you do then you will get an A
Prof Saidi is such amazing professor if you do not understand something make sure you go to her office hours and she will make the information more clear.
Great math professor, just do the work, pay attention in lecture, and go to class. She's nice, helpful, and a relatively easy grader (she also gives a lot of extra credit). She can get quite passive-aggressive with students who do not take her class as seriously as they should. If that's the case, be prepared to flunk.
she's a teacher, as well as a student. for these two characteristic makes her understand what goes in our minds. she's a tough grader, but will help you get a good grade. she gives a lot of extra credit. open to students.
She is great , but I dont have no idea what happened, I failed the class but i would recommend her.
so hot, basically failed tho, i hope she understand that her students actually are failing.
URGH. It's her first time teaching 50 minute classes, so she really rushes the information at the end of class expecting class to understand and do the hw based on the last minute rush of info. Gives quizzes every Friday which are a real pain to your grade. She nice, but every time I think the info she gives us is one thing, it ends up not being.
Had her for stats 117, LOVED her! Very clear, explains well, and obviously loves teaching. Yes, there are quizzes every friday + my math lab hw, but they'll actually be super helpful to you. Take her on TR if you can. Tests are not hard as long as you review your quizzes and your online hw. Also, don't miss class!! Book is required (and expensive).
Makes statistics really easy to understand. Gives lots of extra credit. Hw is important, but mystatlab can be a pain. Responds to emails quickly and is really helpful in general! I had her MWF and the 50min classes were either great or rushed. Take her class if you can!
She gives great opportunities to raise your grades almost every week. If you show up everyday and mostly pay attention you should get an A. All of the tests are on things we go over class and she gives opportunities to prepare you for the tests
She takes off points if you don't put in units. Terrible teacher doesn't explain the material. Terrible with 50 minute classes and will blow your life. Barely teaches the material for quizzes and tests. DO NOT TAKE THIS TEACHER!
This class is insanely easy, she goes over everything and if you do all the work she assigns you then you are going to get A. Assigns extra credit and review sheets that are identical to the test. Shes super sweet and makes lots of time for her students and very helpful when answering questions. loved the class!
Does not do well with 50 min classes. There was a typo on a lot of her class work/test and forgets to go over things and have them on the test. She goes off topic a lot.
Great, very helpful you can easily fly by in her class if you pay attention and do your math XL homework. Gives tons of opportunities for extra credit and is a pleasure to run into and work with outside of class. She is also a fantastic grader, she'll grade tests and hand them back the following class. Wonderful Professor, highly recommend.
Amazing teacher!!! Very helpful, very cheerful, always smiling, and knows her stuff. I never thought I would enjoy statistics but Prof Saidi made that possible. She did a very good job in helping us understand the material. Also gives extra credit and cares about students actually learning rather than just passing. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!
Prof Saidi is awesome! She gives extra credit opportunities, she drops 2 lowest hw scores, & 1 lowest quiz score & if you miss no more than 2 classes, she does grade replacement, replacing your final exam grade w/your lowest test score, if you did better. Very straight forward on tests and quizzes. No tricks. She returns work by the next class.
the best math teacher i've had so far!! she's amazing she made statistics so much easier to understand. She's really nice and I love the way she teaches, she gives out group work a lot which helps you practice for quizzes and tests.
She's very very nice and willing to help out whenever possible, but she is an immensely tough grader. She hands out a lot of homework (unfortunately most of it is assigned on the ever catastrophic MathXL). If you're willing to work hard, ask questions when you don't understand (trust me, you won't) and see her whenever you need help, you'll pass.
Took stat in highschool and didn't do well at all, it wasnt even AP stat. Took stat again with her and understood everything. She teaches in a way that really helps her students learn. I can honestly say she cares about her students a lot, and really loves her job. Not boring at all. Probably the best math teacher I've ever had, and I HATE math.
Professor Saidi is my favorite. The very first day of class, I knew I would do just fine BECAUSE OF HER SMILE. ( I am a female though.)Her smile makes her more approachable. SHE IS ALWAYS EXCITED TO TEACH AND SHE EXPLAINS PRETTY WELL Thank you professor Saidi, God bless you. Ghislaine .
If you could take her, DO IT. She is extremely nice and her smile makes her extremely really approachable! She is really caring and will never want to stress you out. For teaching, she is really clear and explains concepts really well. There's also extra credit too! Just show your dedication and you'll definitely pass with no problem!
Prof. Saidi is an extremely enthusiastic professor. She keeps you involved with the lecture and notes and actually makes it rather difficult to get distracted. She prints out clear notes for her students and easy to follow along with her. You must pay attention and missing class would make it hard to catch up.
She is the nicest professor I have ever had. She is very understanding. I managed getting a high-middle B in the class but I guess it's because I always got help from the tutoring center daily. But really, she's very helpful, friendly, and persistent. I will have her again next semester. I will NOT change my math professor. Take her please!
Calc 1 is already a very difficult course, and Prof Saidi does an amazing job of teaching it in a palatable way. She prints out materials for her students and her documents are very professionally arranged. We used webassign for homework which kind of got annoying at times, but she was very open to compromise. She really does love her job, thanks!
Best Professor ever!!!!! She makes learning really really fun. She makes sure the class is following her lectures before she moves on to the next thing. HIGHLY RECOMMEND she's amazing.
I have never met a professor so enthusiastic about math in my life! She was a super fun professor who really cared for her students and made sure everyone knew the material. There were also optional extra credit math talks that you could attend to get about 4-5 extra points towards a test. She curved the final too! Her teaching is phenomenal.
She is one of the best professors I've ever had. She teaches the subject very well and gives a lot of extra credit. She will no question help you pass if you just put in the effort.
She's a great professor! Taking her class again this upcoming summer. Recommend her to anyone struggling with math. P.S. Gives a lot of extra credit
Professor Saidi is one of the best calculus professors! She is funny and passionate about math. Her exams are based off the group work and some Guided homework questions. Webassign is required. She gives extra credit if you do the Mastery homework (they are challenging). I strongly recommend her for Calc 1!
hard worker, very positive energy
Just took summer calc 181 with her, had to work for the grade but she made difficult concepts very easy to understand. Is able to teach from a perspective that people who are bad at math can understand. If you have the option, take her class
Calculus is hard, but taking this class with Prof. Rachel was definitely a pleasure. There were group works and warm up that you need to work on after class, and online assignments that go with each chapter. She was willing to help everyone. She provided extra credits on the exam. She always replies emails at earliest time. She is the best!
Very enthusiastic about teaching and committed to making Math accessible for all. Is always very punctual and is easily accessible outside of class.
I am disappointed with the experience I had in this professors class. My expectations as a student were not met Because I know I met the expectations as student. She just didn't provide a experience I can define as good.
Professor Saidi indeed was an excellent instructor. She was always punctual, organized, and quick when you emailed her. She always wrote on the board reminders of upcoming due dates of quizzes, tests, and homework assignments which helped! We did have quizzes about every week which wasn't bad if you studied the material.
Professor Saidi is probably one of the best math professors I've ever had at the Rockville campus. I truly love her style very much. I had 165, & 181 with her. I'm retaking 182, & Im back with her. Im so happy to be back. I recommend her to my friends. Her enthusiasm, optimism, & spirit are truly beneficial. Please be patient with her. Warm regards
Let me just add for the third time: I LOVE Professor Saidi!!! She is so awesome and kind. There should be more professors like her. She's truly inspirational. She's very positive, encouraging, kind, and has a pretty smile. She deserves to teach math because she's so good at helping students. Anyways, I dont want her to stop teaching.
Professor Saidi is a good teacher but she rushes the material. she does help somewhat but you still have to work hard for a good grade. If you are good at learning at a fast pace then she is a good teacher for you.
Prof. Saidi looks nice and she is friendly, she tires hard to help you, She is too fast for me. She likes to help. But this material is not easy and if you feel it is fast paced it might not be the class for you
Professor Saidi is awesome. She is very nice and understanding. I took for an online class, and it was not that demanding as long as you read the book and do the homework problems. The Rlabs and the homework can be very time demanding and tedious. Take her
Took Math165 with her during the fall, and also Math117 during the summer because she is the best professor at MC. Really caring about her students (good recom letters). She answers all questions, replies emails and grades quickly. Updates BB often and will give extra credit to help student's grades. Just do your work and study and you'll get an A.
She is a nice teacher. But she is really fast if you don't study before you go to class you won't understand anything within the class. She doesn't really explain, she expects you to learn yourself beforehand. She does NOT curve anything and does not give extra credit. She is available for help but her office is so packed.
Get ready to rush through material. The professor expects you to have read over the chapter from the textbook before class. In class, you'll be copying down notes that have already been scanned online. She has a high expectation that you have a strong math foundation and will skip steps and explanations to save time.
She RUSHESSSSS through the material, literally says "dont ask questions" for certain lectures so she can "catch up" with the other classes she teaches... Gives groupwork that takes up class time and gives the quizzes the last 10-15 min of class... avoid her if you're not a quick learner or have a love for calculus. the book is HORRIBLE too!!!
Calc 2 will be challenging no matter who you take it with. Professor Saidi is one of the best math professors at Montgomery College. She really enjoys teaching. That being said in order to get a good grade in this class you have to do every practice problem that she gives even though it is not graded. IF YOU ONLY DO WEBASSIGN YOU WILL FAIL!!!!!!!!
Easily one of the best math teachers I've ever had, she is extremely caring and treats everyone in the class with respect. Sets up study sessions to help you pass, and makes sure you understand all the concepts. Only cons are she sometimes rushes and quizzes are hard (tests aren't though) and gives a lot of homework, but its Calc 2, its expected.
She gives a lot of homework and quizzes but She is not a hard professor. You have homework every day.
awesome teacher, extremely bubbly and caring. even if you aren't doing great in her class, she'll lift you up and want to help you rather than berate you for failing. I'm glad i have her for my first class in the morning, as her energy is infectious, and really gets my day going.
You gotta work hard. It's calc2. I struggled in this class although I managed to get A in the end. It's ok to messed up in quizzes but not on the midterms. Put much effort if you want to get an A. I think she is better than any other calc2 teacher at MC.
I took Data Vis with Prof. Saidi. Despite it being a night class she was so energetic and passionate every single class meeting. Encouraging, friendly, and accessible. Extremely intelligent and knowledgeable but never condescending. We had tutorials due each week and she gave extra grade points for presentations. Wish I could take her for calc.
She is a horrible professor. I did my best but she does not explain material properly. She rushes.
Prof. Saidi is one of the best professors I've taken at MC! I think she explained things really well, especially since math is my worst subject. She does like cover the material quickly, but I found it manageable. She was very understanding when I ran into issues in the class and she really wants her students to do well.
One of the best professors. I took her for statistics this summer, and she made it super easy, clear and less frustrating than most professors I've taken. Especially since it's was 1 month class & we had to study all the material at once. I strongly recommend to take her for Math 117.
Though this was an online class, Prof. Saidi offered 2 hour optional zoom sessions where she taught us the material. She was always there to answer homework questions and explained the material well. It was nice to not just read out of the book. Material is easy, though I had a strong math background.
Professor Saidi had optional Zoom classes during this summer session and she recorded them if you weren't there. She's a great teacher and she explained the formulas well. She responds quickly to emails and doesn't give an overwhelming amount of work. Make time for this class and stick to the due dates in order to succeed.
She's a good professor. Explains everything well and in a timely manner. Her lectures somewhat go along with the homework. Homework is very time consuming so it might be hard to set aside some time aside for that if you're a busy person.
Spring 2019: Professor Saidi is a very good math teacher, she will always help you understand the subject as best as she can. Her lectures are interesting, and she involves you a lot in group problems. I was in her Calc II class.
Good lecturer, very caring, highly passionate and energetic. Easy to reach outside of class. There is a quiz and 2 homework assignments per week. Thankfully, everything is organized: the notes, lecture videos, due dates. As long as you do the work and dedicate the time, easy B or A. The "difficulty" comes from the actual class content itself.
Best Math Professor. She is organized, caring , and most respectful.
Professor Saidi is amazing. Very considerate of her students especially having class online. Also very passionate and makes sure you understand the material. One of my favorite professors on campus. Don't second guess taking Math117 with her. I definitely recommend.
I took Math 117 with Professor Rachel Saidi during summer of 2020 and it was horrible. It was a summer course and very discouraging when she announced that it was an extremely hard class that we might want to reconsider to take the class in the Fall of 2020. I mean I am but not with her. I WD the class bc the test had no correlat. w/ material.
She always help her students to understand the material. Her smile is so infectious. The best math teacher of my two years at MC.
Professor Saidi is one of the best teachers at Montgomery College and the best math teacher I have had by far. The course itself is not an 'easy A' solely based on the nature of Calculus 1, but Professor Saidi makes the concepts of Calc 1 as easy to understand as Algebra 1. Highly recommend this professor.
I never open the calculus book. Professor Saidi's lecture and lecture note is enough to pass the course with A grade. I wish there could be more math teacher's like her. She is so caring, and my favorite teacher.
Honestly, one of the best math professors/teachers I've ever had. I was good at math until I reached calculus in high school. I failed that so when I took her class I was nervous but she mad the course seem easy. She is very kind and respectful to her students. One of the best professors I have taken so far.
Professor Saidi is very supportive and accessible outside of class. She is also caring and energetic.
She is a caring teacher for her students. She always smile which ensures an incredible learning environment. Professor is so friendly. She is a caring mother for math students.
I have a really hard time in online math classes, but Professor Saidi was an awesome supporter. She was very clear and concise about material, and it made the class very simple. I bet that her in-person lectures are a bit better than online, but regardless it was a good class.
Not bad! I struggled with the material but she helps if you ask!
Professor Saidi is very generous towards her students. She always answer students question related to homework. She is the teacher who will help you to find your passion in math.
She is very good at tackling online class. Professor Saidi recorded her lectures. She is a genuine professor who wants her students to excel. The only con is there are quiz in every week. Otherwise, she is the best math professor. Exams are easy and quiz can be little bit tricky. If you ask help early regarding math problems, she will help you.
Prof. Saidi is fantastic! She is by far the best professor I've had at MC. I have her for MATH217HM: Biostatistics - Honors, and she has been a blast to have. She gives amazing, clear lectures with content that's hard but understandable, gives many opportunities to ask questions, and is super accessible outside of class.
She's so kind and it's very clear that she wants you to succeed. If you're ever stuck on anything, she's available to help through her office hours. I would highly recommend her for biostatistics. None of the assignments we had felt like busy work. I took this class online and I really enjoyed it.
A very inspiring professor who wants everyone to learn. Allows for a lot of communication between classmates through group work and office hours (doesn't always talk about math!).
AMAZING PROFESSOR. 10/10 recommend , she is very clear with everything from communication to grading to lectures, its all a great experience. You will have to work for your grade, but it is definitely worth it! Everything is easy to understand.
Professor Saidi is an exceptional professor at Montgomery College. Her deep knowledge and patient teaching style make classes a great learning experience. She prepares lectures thoroughly. Despite starting with no experience in R, I became proficient in just five weeks during the summer course. I highly recommend her to anyone looking to learn R.
10000% Amazing professor! I couldn't have asked for any other professor to teach me Data Visualization for 3 months. Prof. Saidi is always there for students who wants to learn, and continues to spread amazing energy with her students teaching something shes really passionate about. I couldn't imagine anyone else being my professor for Data 110.
My favorite, i will miss her
if you're not fully prepared to code outside of class hours while the she may make the material seem easy, don't be misled. Your grade will tell you other wise because of her grading method saying she is tough would be an understatement for credit take another professor for learning choose her but your grade shall and will be impacted
Great professor who really wants students to succeed. The lectures are clear, and office hours are super helpful. Used Unstuck ai for study prep - saved a lot of time!
She is a very wholesome professor, just make sure to pop in for her office hours. It's your responsibility, she doesn't pressure or alienate students into going in for office hours, so you must take that initiative.
Byyy far the best math teacher ive ever had she has engaging lectures and she teaches really well, making harder concepts seem a lot less daunting
This professor is one of the best teachers I have had in my life. Her lectures, analogies, answers to questions, organization, and hard work is admirable. She has inspired me to further pursue my interest in Data Science and Statistics. Professor Saidi is always there to answer our questions, in and outside of class.
This professor is the best (math and overall) teacher I have EVER had. Her lectures are really interesting and she cares deeply about ensuring all her students succeed. Whenever I had a question she was always ready to answer and provide support especially with more difficult topics. Even if you aren't a Data Science/Stat major, take her class!
