People taking STAT from other professors could not believe how confident I felt about this course. Rachel really knows how to communicate with her students. Teaching requires a skill and she has MASTERED it. Key: Visit her office and the TA's she has--they all really know their subject.

Daily extra credit opprtunities, homework assignments online and instantly graded, gives you old exams as review sheets which are similar to your exam, teaches in such a way that you really understand the material and getting an A is easy if you do the work. She is the best Stats professor by far. She goes over the problems so that you can easily understand it. She is really great at teaching. she also generous in giving out extra credit for those who need a little boost. I would highly recomend taking her class if you are not really good at math.

She's demanding, but will give you all the information you need to do well in the class and understand statistics.

The exams are EXACTLY what she teaches in class. The main thing to know is that you really HAVE to attend class because there's too much material to learn it on your own. She's a VERY fair teacher; sometimes demanding but always fair.

I took her for 243 and 244 and it seemed like she got disconnected as the terms progressed. If you do the homework (which is all due at the end of the term) and you come to class you can do pretty well. I ended up asking her for a letter of recommendation I liked her so much!

Very helpful in office hours and will check all work prior to submitting. I am awful at math but she made this class approachable. I wish I could take 244 from her too. Homework is mandatory but the exact questions show up on exams. No surprises on exams, its all been seen before. Plenty of extra credit opportunities too. Take her!

YES YES YES!!!!! If you go to class, and pay attention, it's a straight A. Guaranteed! Great teacher. Goes a little fast sometimes, so have to pay attention. And if you do, you are going to come out with an A!!!

She gives a lot of extra credit opportunities and homework isn't due till the last day although I recommend doing it sooner than later. Her tests are also easy because the questions are straight out of your notes and homework questions. Definitely recommend her!

take this class. I am so not a math person and not only did I get a descent grade but I actually learned something too. Do the homework the week its assignment.. print them out and make sure you understand every problem.. her tests are almost identical to the homework. Go to class otherwise the in class assignments will screw your grade.

I took two classes from her and she is by far the BEST teacher I have ever had in my life! Give plenty of opportunities for extra credit, test are fair, lets you bring a cheat sheet front and back, gives her previous exams and answers to her students. Has labs, those suck but get a buddy who understands ull be fine. I enjoyed stats and get it!

The book is horrible, but she explains everything mush more clearly in class.

Rachel really knows her stuff! I hate math and did terrible with it in high school but ended up doing really well in STATS. She gives a ton of extra credit opportunities and the exams are exactly like the HW's. She does pick up the pace quite a bit after the Midterm so make sure you go to all the classes.

If you want to have a good grasp on statistics, take it from Professor Webb; she is a marvelous teacher. I will say that she is not very warm or approachable, but the fact that I managed to make it through a (fairly challenging) math class with an A speaks volumes.

Best statistics tutor ever!!! She dedicates a lot of her time to office hours and making sure that there are clarfications to questions asked. Very quick to respond to emails. Better than my high school AP Stats class.

I think someone needs to give her a teddy bear. Very negative, is often patronizing, responds with things like "well if you did your homework maybe you would know..." Doesn't make for a positive learning environment. Other than that she does a good job of explaining the material. Does give extra credit, maybe is just going through a hard time?

Rachel is a very clear and concise teacher. She chooses not to bore the class with niceties, and expects you to be on your game. Attendance is not required, but I learned too late that its really important to show up, as she rewards those who do with EC assignments, etc.

Why *can't* all professors be like her. This professor made the subject matter easy to understand by given practical examples. The final reviews were great. she explains and wraps everything up in an easy way to understand the main topics. she is very respectful, organized, punctual, and very helpful. If ESL she is the professor to take.

While Stats is a dry subject, Rachel is a patient and straightforward teacher. She will look over your homework before you turn it in and gives lots of extra credit. There is no reason not to get an A in the class, the only reason I got and A minus is because I missed five classes.

Rachel was a very clear teacher and was more than fair in providing extra credit for people who show up for class. some students were disrespectful and that annoyed her, but she was extremely patient with her students. she offers to check your homework before you turn it in, and explains math and statistics concepts to non-math majors ver well.

She knows how to use blackboard, utilizes classroom materials very well, and knows the subject. DO TAKE stats with her if you want to actually learn it and remember it.

Rachael was great! It had been about 4 years since I took the previous section, but her teaching methods made it an easy transition for me. Stay on top of things. She does not tolerate late work!

Stats is really hard. Professor Webb is funny and direct, and I really appreciate her no-nonsense style. She takes exam questions from the online practice homework and book, so if you study a lot you'll do ok, though she does put "distracter" answers on the exams that make them harder.

I took this class online. I'd taken stats before online and dropped it due to terrible setup/teaching, but this was an easy-to-follow class. As long as you KEEP UP and do all the homework, you'll be fine. It's intimidating, but if you want a well-taught online stats class, take it with Rachel!

Rachel Webb is great. LOTS of point opportunities, not just the exams! Come to each class & take notes and you'll do fine. YES, she goes fast, but this is so we can get through all the material. She'll check your homework before you turn it in (during office hours) so you can get 100% on it! I appreciate her "down to business' teaching style!

I can't believe some people thought she had a bad attitude. Not everyone is bubbly, and Rachel definitely isn't, but who cares!?! She's a great professor who helped turn what could have been a scary subject into something I could not only learn, but get an A in!! I took the online course - met in class 3 times, entire grade was 2 exams and 13 assignments. It's a challenging course but Rachel gives extra credit assignments.

This class is very difficult, but Professor Webb is an excellent teacher! She is very clear about her expectations, point system, and the lecture material. She actually takes the time to write down everything that you need to copy into your notes. She is not the warmest teacher ever, but she is clear and fair.

She is crystal clear about what she expects from students and I think she gets frustrated with those who don't do the work and then gets mad at the entire class. She offers a ton of extra credit. Tests are not too difficult just very long, I never finished any of them but still did well thanks to assignments, labs, etc.

If you are overly sensitive or want your hand held throughout the class, this is not the teacher for you. She expects you to do your work and seems bitter due to past experience with lazy students. She is a good prof and provides many opportunities for one to succeed in her class. All in all I respect her even though not thrilled with her attitude

Granted she's not a very kind or forgiving professor, but she is very good at teaching. I get solely by on her lecture notes, which are great. She fully explains everything and nothing on her tests are unexpected, if you go through the practice problems and practice tests she assigns prior to exams. Very clear with what she expects.

I took STAT 243 & 244 with Professor Web, and I don't regret it one bit. There is a ton of information thrown at you, but Prof. Webb somehow makes it manageable, I was thoroughly impressed. I would recommend her for both Stat classes if it is required. One more thing, I hate math! Good Luck.

I LOVE HER SO MUCH!!!She is the best stat teacher I've ever had!!Plus she is so pretty and charming at her age!!She taught stat243,244 with 200 students but she is very down to earth, and even came to my seat and helped me with the problem!!!

Nothing could be more straightforward or clear. Her use of D2L is superb and the material is easy to access. The material is computational, not too conceptual, but she does an excellent job explaining both. Don't waste her time though; she teaches 500 students and only has time if you've spent time thinking about the problem first. Fair, yes?

Her class is pretty easy, just make sure you study for the tests. She doesn't have mandatory homework (at least in the Stats class for Business Majors) except for the occasional lab. Her labs are pretty simple excel spreadsheets and the instructions make it simple to complete. Class attendance is a good idea due to random in-class activities.

Great teacher. Easy to follow along. Good use of D2L. Lots of EC assignments. Class time goes by fast and is actually fun. Easy to get study groups together and get an A.

I took the NB and there was 10 in class assignments. The final was mostly chapter 7, the hardest stuff. She goes over the book a lot. She is sort of helpful wtih d2l

Lots of opportunities to get outside help with TAs & office hours. Also a lot of EC assignments. Allows a full pg front & back of notes for all tests. Easy labs. Got and A for 243 and 244 NB. Great professor. Not a class you can coast. Exams = easy or hellish - you decide by how much you study. EC given but you have to earn them. I got an A. My best advice: Print multi copies of practice exams, Do one, then check key & see your mistakes. Learn from the mistakes. Then take another. Do this until you can complete it without trouble.

GREAT PROFESSOR! By far, my favorite professor I have had at PSU. EXTREMELY clear and helpful. I would try and read the text and it would not make sense, but she went through everything in class and made it make perfect sense. Make sure to go to class though, it'll make everything easier. I loved her so much I took STAT244 with her too!

Though attendence is not mandatory i recommend going every day. She is kind of fast paced with the way she teachers, but is really helpful if you need extra help. Exams are not that easy, but if you do the homework itll be easier. She literally takes questions from the homework and puts them on the exam. She is a nice person and easy to talk to.

Rachel is great. Class of 150 and she is on top of it. U better show up + keep up. Slackers fail this one fast. She has a great personality and leads the class like well. She is super-smart, and very nice when you take time to ask a question or have a moment to meet with her during office hours. I am glad I had this class with her.

Rachel is a phenomenal instructor. I hate math and she made me appreciate stats for biology. She has a lot of office hour time, so utilize it. If you don't help yourself, she will not be enthused to help you. Don't cut class or you will be screwed. Fantastic teacher though, highly recommend!

Best professor I've ever had. She helps you actually learn the content rather than just plug a number into a calculator. Rachel is not "easy" as in a push-over, however her classes can be very easy and fun if you do the work. I recommend Rachel to everyone that takes Statistics.

I earned an A. Don't expect a trophy just for showing up for her class. Put in the hours studying to EARN IT. People complain 12 hrs/week studying for an A is too much. 12 hrs is normally expected in college. This is a challenging class, it's only harder if you let it be one. Rachel is very helpful. You get what you put in with her class.

Fantastic teacher, very helpful and very clear, only condescending to the students who skip class all the time. I am not a math expert by any means, but she is a very good teacher and a nice grader as long as you are putting the work in.

Rachel is intense but so smart. It's a math class and you have to be on top of things. Don't slack on online homework. Gives extra credit. The final this term did have mistakes but I was surprised. Recitation is pointless but required. Take her class if you want to learn. She doesn't like slackers though and will call you out.

Rachel is strict and she is very upfront about what she wants from you. She doesn't hide what she expects and if you don't do well with rapid pace learning dont take her class. She wants people to do well and sets the course up to help achieve that if you show up and pay attention and take notes.

Took Rachel for the 4 week summer course and found her style conducive to learning at this pace. She goes very fast, but also showed us exactly how to do things. Her examples in class were similar or identical to what was on the exams. Final was long and pretty hard. Left feeling like I understood the material. I'd take her again.

This course is very fast paced. Expect to work your butt off if you want to succeed. That said because there is so much to cover, things come at you quick. Don't miss a class. Testquizzes are fair and if you do the homework and in-class activities should be easy. Good prof with a clear teaching style for a topic that can be very obscure at times

The online homework was very easy and had links to the textbook and example questions. The midterm and final were a nightmare. She gives you 4 hours to complete a simple quiz, but 2 hours to complete a long and complex exam. I had an A the whole quarter but received a D on the final because I ran out of time even though I had studied. Fair grader.

Great stats teacher who makes sure that each student understands what the material is and what she expects. Uses D2L too much though.

Dr. Webb is able to make clear mathematical concepts that can be very hard to grasp. Her methods to calculations are more clear-cut, easier and waaaaay less confusing than some of the text's ways for calculating or solving some of the problems. I highly recommend her. I won't take anyone else for STAT 244, or another math class if I have to do so.

Great teacher. Makes her expectations very clear. Go to class because you will need the examples. Do the extra credit and go to recitation because that will help you learn the material. Math takes practice. Spent time on it. Tests reflect all things covered... Go to class.

She will try to scare you into dropping the course at the beginning of term, but stick with it. I hadn't taken math in several years but did fine because I attended every class, recitation, and did a few of the suggested practice problems. Do the work and you'll do fine. She drops your lowest quiz, allows notes for tests, and gives extra credit.

Professor Webb is a wonderful professor. Her classes are tough but if you pass you will certainly know the material. Her lectures are very comprehensible and she has a great no-nonsense style.

I despise STATS and had a terrible 243 instructor. With that said, Rachel's class was better. She has more class resources than all my instructors had this term so the help and extra work is always there. 5 Quizzes (one is dropped), 4 labs, recitation attendance required, difficult exams, and plenty of extra credit available.

I appreciated her giving the students plenty of extra credit opportunities throughout the term. Her grading criteria is very clear. She comes off as a straight-to-the-point person. Textbook is not needed for this class but if you like practice problems then take advantage of the free book. Help is there when you need it. Overall, not a bad class.

Rachel Webb is fantastic. I took an online course so I didn't see her in person alot, but she often would send reminders about when things are due and was quick to reply to questions. The study review is helpful and similar to her tests. You are given more than enough time to finish tests and allowed a page of notes. Great extra credit opportunity

Rachel is great. Lots of extra credit opportunities. 4 Labs that are step by step (easy A), 2 in person quizzes, homework and online quiz due every Sunday. All work is to prepare you for Final(35% of grade) and Midterm(30% of grade). She is a great professor. She cares how you do. Do the work and you will get an A. Best option for non-stats majors!

Rachel is a wonderful instructor, I've taken her for both 243/244. She does not give you a grade, you earn your grade by staying on top of the workload. She gives partial credit on tests, offers extra credit, and is always available during office hours. Highly recommend for self-starters and those that are disciplined enough to put in the effort.

Rachel is a great teacher, the class was pretty easy with a small workload. I got nearly 100% on both midterms and I'm sure I will do well on the final. I really enjoyed the online homework system we used (Realizeit). Her textbook was free, helpful and, easy to read, but you could get away without reading it. Optional problem sessions twice a week.

Gives a ton of extra credit with one extra credit giving a max of 5 points onto your final(overall) grade. Do your homework and show up for class, and you'll be fine.

You learn most content online at home with textbook/homework website. Goes over some things in class but most class time is used for worksheets/asking questions. Quizzes & homework are online, 2 midterms, 1 final (all easy if you know the content). Show up and do your work you'll be fine. Class time wasn't very beneficial but you get points.

I was super scared to take a math course for the first time in years, but she made it super simplified and easy to understand use. You definitely have to invest some time into completing material before classes, but it's definitely worth it because it makes the big quizzes a breeze when they come around. There's also lots of extra credit available.

I would recommend this class to anyone who struggles with statistics. The homework is all done online and there are worksheets in class for participation points. The exams are all questions from the homework, worksheets, and quizzes. So, it's easier to get a good grade on the midterms and final.

Super understanding and helpful, made a math class one of my favorite courses I've taken as PSU. Available outside of class and great with helping when you don't understand something. Come to class and do the work and you'll be set up to succeed!

Rachel is a super instructor. She is clear, direct, and makes statistics way less daunting than I imagined it could be. We had a textbook that she is working on writing, but this class is entirely passable without the book - especially since she is the mind behind the book. I strongly recommend!

Professor Webb will give partial credit if you show your work. The course is difficult but she gives cheat sheets to follow for tests and is always available for office hours to clear up confusion. I would highly recommend this professor for stats!!!

This class overall was so laid back and more student lead. We were expected to work for the grade we wanted and do the homework when we could. The due dates were very flexible and she gives extensions often. Plenty of extra credit opportunities as well. I really enjoyed the layout of the class and Ms. Webb was very understanding and taught well :)

I took part in the Summer Bridge program for PSU. The pacing of the math class was rather intense but if you dedicate your time to doing the course work, then you can do well. Professor Webb was really communicative when I reached out and helped with my enjoyment of the class.

Rachel is awesome! I love the RealizeIt homework system because if you read the chapter beforehand and go to lecture you usually know enough to test out of the hw. The hw, worksheets, and lecture is exactly what you cover on quizzes and the exams. The textbook is awesome and well-written (also free) - by Rachel herself.

I took an active and adaptive Stats class taught and designed by Ms. Webb. The class was fantastic. The active and adaptive platform allowed for a clear learning path, immediate feedback, and efficient learning. The tests were challenging but attainable and proctored (which I really appreciated. Top-notch innovative instructor!

Professor Webb was absolutely amazing. I was never a huge math person and always had a tough time grasping concepts in math, she made it so easy. She is very eager to help, super flexible, and gives credit however she can. She really goes far to make her students do well when the student gives effort. Definitely recommend!

Rachel really cares about how well her student does in her class. Willing to help and answer questions. Clear lectures and transparent about the course work.

If you put your time in on this class you will do fine. Each week there are written lecture modules, one homework assignment, one easy Excel lab with step by step instructions given, and a quiz. If you take notes on the modules and use them to study, you'll get a decent grade. Exams are open notes!

I'll start by saying I was dreading taking Stats as I am not a math person. I took this course fully online and it was so helpful. Rachel goes out of her way to make the course content easy for you including using excel for all the calculations, formatting calculators and packets for you. If you use all the resources given to you, you'll pass fine.

Prof. Rachel Webb was very professional and knowledgeable on her subjects when teaching. She made learning the material fun and it was apparent she cared for the students educational growth. It seemed she would make herself available any day of the week, even weekends to help with understanding coursework! An excellent teacher!

The content of the class itself is easy as long as you attend every lecture and make time outside of class to study. The professor is amazing and tries her best to teach in a way that is easy to learn/understand. It is a high-maintenance class, so do not take it if you are not willing to spend at least 6 hours a week outside of class to study.

When you're worrying about money as a college student, Ms. Webb makes an effort to take some of that stress off the students. I'm currently using a version of Lumen I don't have to pay for and she even shows you how to get a TI-84 online. She also assigns excel homework, but always includes a guide, and is very helpful in your understanding.

Very forgiving teacher

Gives every resource you may need. Get notes and formulas on exams. Gives worksheets and guided notes in class as well as in depth notes and examples on canvas that you should read before class. Definitely has a decent amount of assignments and quizzes but don't usually take super long. Fast paced class but if you stay caught up it's not that hard.

Overall a decent teacher, only thing i can say thats a bit brutal is passing the final is mandatory for passing the class, but its not that bad since all exams are open notes and she does give a solid amount of partial credit (10-20%). I would recommend taking her if you have are not confident in your math skills as its very straight forward.

Rachel is an amazing teacher, she wrote her own material to cut down on student spending. She sets up students for success and truly cares about each student. Rachel goes over what is expected and thoroughly goes through the material.

Rachel is a strong professor and is fluent in the material. Attend class, read the book she offers, watch the videos and take strong visual notes. This is NOT a class to slack. Rachel also offers opportunities for EC and allows students to have notes during exams. There is a lot of work to do but it is beneficial for understanding and applying it.
