The best professor you will find. Very helpful. Tests were hard, it's Math, but if you followed her instructions. No problem. I wish I had to take more of her classes.

She teaches at a very fast pace but if you show up to class everytime, an A is cake. Great sense of humor. She understands her students. She is somewhat leniant if you explain a situation to her. NO MAKE UP EXAMS, NO EXTRA CREDIT. Just go to class and you'll be fine.

I had her for MAT-045 & MAT-180. She epitomizes the craft of being a teacher. She truly has a big heart and cares about her students. She even bought the class pizza as an award for making it through Pre-Cal.

She is so nice both personality wise and in looks. She reviews every homework problem before proceeding and stays late to answer any remaining questions. What more can one want?

Class isn't that bad at all. Just do the homework and take good notes in class. Her 5 or 6 quizes make up one test which can help a lot. The only thing I didn't like was that the 2 tests that their was were worth 25% of your final grade each. If you mess up in one like get a 51 for example, it will be hard to boost it back up..

I dnt knw wht the other people r talkin bout but I personally found her class passable.In de begining I didnt care much nd didnt try my hardest but wen I did try my hardest I aced all the quizes and pased all the tests.U def gotta work hard but if u do ur hw u shuld b fine.SHe also explains everything very well. uhm... she is very hot, but that's not important. the other raters that gave her a low rating were probably lazy because she meticulously goes over every problem. exceptional teacher! if you are interested in math take her. best math teacher i had. not that fast, really. her office hours are the only downside... but you can talk to her after class.

i am taking her now and i couldn't pass algebra a but wanted to save $ by taking both together. i failed algebra in h.s but she made it extremely clear-you must work and shouldn't miss a class or u will fall behind, she is fast but really sweet and i have passed every objective so far. i just hope i pass the final

Professor Wieland is an awesome teacher. She writes every little thing out on the board to keep everyone up to speed on what she's doing. She teaches fast, but it's what she has to do to cover all of the material. Should be a problem if you do your homework and you go to class.

Started taking the class, she seemed like a very nice lady, very clear, and would stop to go over things again. I will admit she is a good teacher, but has a major attitude problem if you have not been a brown nose. I couldn't attend class because I had food poisoning and emailed her for the work I was going to miss and she wrote a nasty email back

I was too harsh and unfair with my comments (2 comments below) about not completing a trig section. She's an excellent professor who does a great job explaining concepts and helping students master the material before tests. Considering my overall experience, I was being a jerk because Summer Calculus was hard.

Professor Wieland is an amazing professor. All of the negative comments are from people who have failed her course. You have to do work in her class so don't expect to get a free A.

Read the book as the class moves super fast - I do not recommend this class if you have not had algebra previously - if you have had it before - you will do well. Fast but good professor!

Professor Wieland is definitely one of the better math professors at Bergen. She worked very hard to make sure we understood the material. Homework was optional, but I recommend that you do it anyway to help with learning. I look forward to taking MAT-180 with her this semester.

This teacher is great! Assigns hw but dosnt check but do it, you will do better on tests. Test can be a little difficult but if you study and do hw you will do fine. Some classes are split into two halves, first half is notes and second half is a group "test" where you work in a small group of five or less ppl to complete a one sided wrksheet.

As long as grade is good attendance can b loose. She has 2 go fast because there is a lot of info 2 go over. Taking her 4 Calculus now. B prepared 2 go 2 tutoring center. Great teacher, probably one of the best I've ever had. Explains the material very well and cares that everyone understands everything. The hw's arent collected but I advise doing them. She does 2 review sheets before every test make sure you do them a few times. Highly advise taking her if you can.

Had her last semester for pre Calc and now taking her for Calc and I do not regret taking her again. If you don't understand something then tell her and she will explain to you. If I ever need to take a math class and I have an option of having her as my professor I would be in her class without having to think about it.

Professor Wieland is the BEST!.... Seriously. If you want to learn Calc hassle free, shes the one to go to. Lectures are crystal clear, and gives reviews before the test (With solutions) which are exactly like the test. Calc 1 is not easy material to learn but she will simplify it to the max. 55

She was very nice woman. Her classes was nice. Her grading is very fair. If you know the subject this was the easiest course I ve ever taken but some people got bad grades. She teaches very nice. You won't have good grades if you never study. she does reviews before tests which are similiar to tests. I would definetly reccomend her.

Wieland's lectures are clear and concise. Show up for class, do the homework, and ask questions and you will do well.

Only a few test all semester 95% of your grade including a final. If you don't study, or practice at least once a day you wont pass. Her packets are amazing. DO THE HOMEWORK and ask her questions on anything you don't get and she'll try and help you as much as possible. its either u fail or pass. no in between. take at your own risk. C-B

She's a fantastic teacher! Explains things really really well. She gives out a lot of homework. If you do all the homework problems, I promise you will be well-prepared for exams. It seems that most people who have trouble in her class procrastinate, or simply lack basic skills in algebra or trig. But she does an excellent job on her part.

Took her for Calc 1. She is quite possibly the best math professor that I have ever met. She gives a lot of homework but those problems are usually on the test. If you want a good professor who actually cares about her students, take her class!

Simply awesome. I really liked her teaching method: everything straight to the point. And you really need to put some serious efforts to do well in class. Never assume that this class is easy just because it is a freshman level math class.

There is really nothing to add to her teaching style. Quizzes are in group and we don't submit until everybody in the group understands how we got to the answer. She has nice jokes.

Prof Wieland is one of those gems you almost never come across in mathematics. Not only is she brilliant in her field, but she's a master at actually teaching the material. She explains concepts in a variety of styles to suit different types of people. Do the homework, ask questions, listen in class and you'll be great. Take her!

4 exams: 3 midterms & 1 accumulative Final. (+ some group quizzes) Precal is very Fast-Paced so you don't have much time during the semester. If you want to get straight As, you should do all homework and put much effort on reviews until you fully understand them. Prof. Wieland is nice woman. So just ask her if you really don't know some stuffs.

I failed this class but it was not the fault of Professor Wieland at all. She was so supportive and tried very hard to help me, but due to work stress and an overfull schedule I just could not pass. She made me not feel so bad about it. Her lectures are clear and she answers questions well, me not passing was entirely my fault and not hers.

Professor Wieland made Int Algebra & Pre Calc the best classes I have taken. She is very patient and will make sure that students understand the subject. She is really funny and caring. Professor Wieland is a great math teacher. She is always available to assist you even if the class is in an online setting. Her lectures are very interesting and easy to understand. As long as you do the homework's which she gives extra credit for them you will understand the material.

She runs her class by pre-recording videos section by section following the textbook. We got about 2/3 assignments a week that would take about an hour of anyones time. Simple class with a great teacher that will respond at all times. I learned a lot her way and wish all teachers did it the same. Sweet and funny professor! Take her for easy A!!

Prof. Wieland is great. The class was not an easy A but if you do the homework you'll have everything you need. There are cases where it's a little confusing and the explanation might not be the easiest to understand, but she's there for you. :)

Lectures were posted on Youtube, not too long. Straightforward, showed examples, tests were very easy and exactly like HW/ her lecture videos. She got back to me fairly quickly VIA email. Always willing to help, is enthusiastic about teaching, one of the best math professors I've ever had. She makes math seem easy.

Overall, I thought she was pretty great. I really liked her teaching style. Considering I'm not the sharpest with math, I always understood her online video explanations for Algebra concepts. I will definitely be taking her in the future for Calc.

Best math teacher I've ever had. I usually barely pass math with a C or D but I have an A in her class (currently in progress). She lets us come during office hours and work on homework as a group. She gives extra credit and plenty of opportunities to bring your grade up if you're not a good test taker (like me).

Not much to say here. Great person, a wonderful professor, very clear and understandable lectures, homework and practice questions are the ones that mostly end up on the tests, she has a YouTube channel with all the lecture content so you could catch up if you missed anything, or to help you prepare for tests. Definitely one of the best professors.

Very caring and will respect the amount of work that you put into this class. The textbook is required for the online portion as you will need to do the assignments. They are unlimited and the problems will be similar to the tests including the final. Make sure you do the work and you will pass.
