horrible teacher. I heard her in the elevator talking to a person on how an agent approached her for a commercial. she's from D.C. her focus for being out here probably is hollywood not teaching. It's like she resents it.

This woman makes Condoleeza Rice seem like Fred Rogers. She was cold and unfeeling regarding any subject matter not brought up by herself. Most of her reading choices are scripted from an ancient book she keeps. Very condescending tone and stare to anyone who questions her opinion or statements on the literary work. Most did poorly in her class.

She accept's NO one's ideas, thoughts, or comments but her own. She will embarasse you in front of class if you question anything she says. The comments she will put on your paper are disrespectful and will not assist you in any way. She is the only teacher that I really dislike and does not deserve to be one! She doesn't know the meaning of TEAC

I took this class several years ago and thought all the things that I see written here. It's refreshing to know it wasn't just me. This professor should not be teaching!!

I cannot express how much I regret taking this class. Most of my classmates dropped out after a few weeks. She turned every lecture into a debate on race relations, which is fine for other classes, but this was supposed to be English 101! She thinks she's infallible but misprounced words often while reading aloud. She treats everyone as inferior.

RUN FROM THIS PROFESSOR! I had her for 3 weeks and I am about to drop her. She was unclear about our first paper, telling the class to refer to the book and she isn't answering questions at the moment. She is paid to teach and help her students. She procrastinates too much and is very opinionated. I prefer taking this class elsewhere than be there.

This teacher is very useless. Please everybody do not take her English class. She is very unclear with everything and will snap at you for no reason at all. You cannot even ask a question because she loves to throw tantrums. She is very rude and is very disorganized! please if your reading this, from experience stay away from her.

Professor is extremely unorganized. For instance she took a very long time updating a syllabus. She makes comments on the discussion forum before leting us students come up with something first, all while telling us "to be original and avoid repeating what others say". She is the first to cover the subject, leaving us with nothing else to add.

The absolute worst. She is very unorganized. Stands in front of the class and talks the whole night. When i asked other students in my class if they learned anything in her class the answer was no, because she does not teach. She only talks and then yells when you ask her a question.

Do not take this class. We received our 1st grade just prior to mid term. Over 60% dropped class. She locks the door after class starts and tries to talk to people like their in elementary school. She only taught two classes and always got us confused as far as what class was doing what. We did not follow the syllabus. This lady is just plan rude.

I got a B, and I was expecting an F. I thought I was failing the class, and she didn't grade our midterms until it was too late to drop the class for the semester. Her disparaging comments on my midterm clearly indicated the lack of intelligence she believed I possessed, and she chose a string of deliberately obscure words to emphasize her point.

This teacher was a waste of my time and entire semester. I literally made up excuses not to go to her class because it was so boring. She refused to listen to/accept anyone else's opinion if you disagreed with her's. Her assignments do not make any sense to anyone but her. She refused to explain further any of them -_-

I regret taking this teacher's English class. This was a completely negative learning experience. I received a B in the course, but there is nothing to recommend here. She's very difficult to like, and extremely disorganized and then it's your fault as the student when she forgot to inform you about assignment specifics. Major Fail.

Avoid at all costs! Spent the first 2 wks talking about plays she went to and authors she's brought to class. Then "I hope you guys are reading (whatever book out of 5 she made us buy) You should already know without me telling which one." If she isn't assigning essays in which 90% of the words are dichotomous, she's saying you need to be educated.

1. She is not teaching anything from text book 2.We are reading several chps a week and excerpts (sometimes more than 30 pages, in additional to reading 40 pages in our textbook 3. She's very opinionated and combative when a student expresses her/his opinion.4.monopolizes the class time with stories about herself and her experiences.

She was very unhelpful and the syllabus didn't seem to match up w/ assignments. The syllabus stated the midterm exam was on 1 book but when did it it was on a different book. This class made me miserable. I had to look up a lot of the words she used, which made me feel stupid but these words were never used in my previous English classes. STAY AWAY

Do NOT take her class!She assigns several reading from multiple books, & most of which will NOT be used for assignments. I understand that she's trying to expose us to several cultures but she seems to not care whether you have OTHER classes to do homework for. I hate her class and am seriously considering dropping it two months into the semester.

very confusing, after reading all the comments online i went to class with an opened mind hoping she proved me wrong. but she didn't she is unclear of all assignments, doesn't follow the syllabus, and don't waste money on books, it's useless, she only wants you to read a chapter or so and never speak of it again. To start I'm usually a good student and always excellent grades in Eng! This HORRIBLE Prof. made me feel crazy, lazy and confused! Syllabus CONFUSING bc she CHANGES it to suit herself/issues. All the above is true, I tried my best in the class and was getting straight "C" in everything. I took this class at another school and had all "A" but it did not transfer. If you are looking for a challenge this is it. Incredibly difficult I am a hard working student with a 3.9 GPA and she broke me. I gladly dropped this class.

Professor Williams is the worst I have every seen!! I am a 3.85 student and from the looks of things he will make sure that my GPA changes! she does not respond to any emails and if she does she will let you know just how uneducated you are and that you are not on her level WARNING do not take her for english if you treasure your GPA and education.

Ms. Williams returned our assignments toward the end of the semester; my last 3 papers wern't returned- so I have no idea how I did. Teaching is minimal- rather we were required to read and write on the assigned material and were graded very harshly. I am a consistent A student and she gave me a C on everything. Teacher is hard to talk to.

DON'T TAKE HER ONLINE CLASS! I wrote near five pages in the first essay and only get a five-line review. 7 books are needed. The second essay is graded after almost two months after the due day of the essay. She will asks you to attend a event cost five dollar each person for extra credit. Wanna keep your high GPA? Then keep yourself away from her.

Stay away!!!! I felt like I was teaching myself and all the grading was subjective. You will get a C or less just because she doesn't like your writing. If you are poetic or artsy- don't take!!! You are forced to write monotone sentences. Professor treats us like a job and not a passion.

Horrible teacher. There were several times when she would tell us a paper is due and we didn't even know about it. She also is very self centered and always wants to be right.

Lectures were hardly informative and seemed to be more about her rather than writing assignments. She seemed to be annoyed if anyone asked questions or had a different opinion than her. Very tough grader and high expectations. If you're looking for an "easy" english class stay far away!

graded 1 paper during the semester. When the semester is over she grades the other assignments which you dont see and then assigns a Final Grade of D. She closes the class site so you cant communicate with her. I received my Final Grade January 6, 2016. I have never seen my graded assignments she did not return the assignments. Very dishonest .

By far the worst teacher I have ever taken at West LA College. It's been years since I took her class and I still tell everyone I meet to avoid her class. Rude, arrogant, locked students out of classrooms, didn't accept work from students that were on time. The only things I enjoyed were the readings and when class was over. AWFUL PROFESSOR!

WORST teacher I've ever taken at West! Horrible teacher, I went from straight A's in all my english classes to just D's on my paper and she wrote see a tutor. Never needed a tutor before and now I need one all of a sudden along with the entire class. Defiantly it's the teachers fault and not the students if we've come from straight As to that! Makes you buy 8 books and you don't even use half of them. She is a horrible teacher
