She is an AWESOME professor! She really cares about her students, is very helpful, and makes her class fun. You will do fine as long as you meet deadlines and attend class. I was disappointed to find out she isn't teaching W131 next semester, but I recommend her to anyone taking W130!

Professor Costello is by far the best writing teacher I have ever had. She is fun, easy-going, knowledgeable, caring, and down-to-earth. She is willing to help whenever you need it and she's fairly easy to get a hold of. She isn't judgemental and loves hearing everyone's opinions. She also makes everything very simple to understand.

I hated English/writing classes before I joined her class, but now I can't wait for my next semester. Even considered changing my major to a writing-related field just because she made me feel that great about my abilities. Best professor I'll ever have.

This was my first English class is quite a while, but it was made very easy to understand and ended up being quite an enjoyable class.

Chelle is very fun and up to date. She's to the point and helpful if you go to her. She's an easy grader if you turn in your work on time. Just make sure you get grammer checked by another student because she won't help you with that on your rough draft.

I like the way grading and homework is done, as well as the class set up. Student schedule understanding was also very helpful in the fact of having prior things going on and having to miss class.

She's super nice and very easygoing and effectively teaches us how to write well and how to use MLA. However, she does not usually give descriptive and constructive feedback. Usually, you are left to guess what you're grade is until she returns your final paper.

Only problem I had in the class was when she told me, "At this point in the semester, you should be able to edit your own rough drafts." To me that doesn't make any sense because after a rough draft most people need help in fixing their mistakes and she didn't do that.

Friendly & helpful throughout the semester. Explained assignments thoroughly. My main issue with the class is that it was too simplistic for a 200-level writing course. Spending an entire class period talking about how to write a thesis statement, for example, was insulting to me. But for those who need the review, you can tell she really cares.

I really enjoyed taking this class with her because she is such a great professor. She knows how to make the content easy to remember but also creates a challenge in how to apply it to your own writing. She is open to each individuals writing style while also providing the structure that is necessary for successful writing.

Sparked interest in topics that I've never studied before, which is really awesome because it'll help me in my future career. Textbook use didn't seem overbearing because the topic of focus for our papers was usful and interesting: Education.
