Super nice lady and funny, her 30 second breaks will make your day. She is very clear on what she is teaching and she gives you lot of work to keep your grade up. Plus as you can see you get a cheat sheet, but really good teacher, take her!
She is really funny, and like everyone has been saying, she lets you bring in a notes sheet to use on each exam. She puts all the notes online, so you just print them, bring them to class, and follow along as she does the practice problems. Also, she doesn't use the text book, so save yourself some money. Wish i knew that beforehand. Great teacher.
This is the best math class you'll ever take. Teacher explains material well, allows a full page--front and back--cheat sheet on tests, and gives plenty of examples and a thorough study guide before each test. Highly recommended. And what ever you do, DON'T BUY THE BOOK!!! You don't use it AT ALL.
don't buy the book... class is covered completely through the in-class notes, so it helps if you go. Group works are easy and cover what went on during lecture the week before. teacher is funny, with "half-a-minute breaks" a couple times during class. with the notes sheets for tests, there's no reason why you shouldn't get an A in the class!
Really nice lady. The class is really weird, and I don't think I'll ever use it again, but as long as you read the notes before tests, make a really good cheat sheet, and go to your Group Work Quizzes you will do really well! I got an A and I didn't actually listen to more then 3 of her lectures...
So easy. You get a cheat sheet for each test. Going to class definitely helps but even when i didn't go, i never made lower than a 95 on a test. Don't need to buy the book.
Really easy. Take her, just review the notes that are online. GW are really easy and test are identical to problems in class. She is funny, and makes it somewhat intereresting
For the most part, an easy class based on printable notes for each lecture. She drops your lowest 3 out of your 10 GW'S and the test are for the most part easy/fair. I have to say the lecture is very very boring and don't buy the book because you NEVER use it. The key to doing well in this class is to simply go to class.
nice teacher. material is tough, but she lets u use 1 notesheet for the test for formulas etc. tests are somewhat tough unless u r good at math. consists of 5 test and a final, which is not cumulative. im not a math wiz and i almost got an A so i deff recommend her for stats
Ms. Bose is the bomb. So helpful and understanding. And a two page note sheet for tests? What more could you ask for?
Easiest math class ever. I always got above a 100% on the test. Don’t buy the book, just go to class.
She's great! No need to buy the book, never used it even once, just go to class and she will give you everything you need to know
Class is very boring so bring your pillow to class. Other than that, she is a nice lady and her test come straight from the review sheet she gives you before the test
loveeee this lady!!! if youre good at math its pretty much a cake walk and if you suck at math you can deff still get an A, her teaching methods are very clear and shes very very helpful
so easy. i suck at math and I got an A. Never used the online book thing, it's a waste of money. just go to every class and go to recitation, the group works really help. get to use a notesheet on every test.
Fairly easy math class. Get to use a note sheet on every test. Attendance is not mandatory but it helps to go. Don't buy the book, she provides you with review exercises before each test.
She lets you have a two sided note sheet for the test which is extremely helpful. I highly recommend her and don't get the textbook!
Easy class. Get to use a 2-sided note sheet for every test. No homework. Never used the online text book, don't buy it. I wish she taught my next math class!
Definitely take her. like everyone says.. get to use a notesheet on the tests. don't buy the book,i didn't and i was fine. I've never done well in math and I got an A in this class
All i have to say is make a good cheat sheet and it's an easy A.
Easy class! Cheat sheets on the tests really help.
Easy A, she drops 3 GW and 1 Test. I finished the class 3 a month early with an A. Boring class though. Don't buy the book waste of money. Cheat sheet helps alot.
Radha is amazing! you will make an A in the class if you print out your notes, go to class, and fill in what she tells you to fill in. Make sure you DO NOT BUY THE BOOK it is waste of money. She drops the lowest test grade which includes the final exam so make sure you get three good test grades so you do not have a final.
Sweet Class she teaches thoroughly... Make Krucial cheat sheet for tests and u will pass with flying colors dont have cheat sheet and you lookin mighty ugly yadiggg
Print the notes! Do NOT buy the book. The cheat sheet was a life saver on the tests. Easy Class.
Cheat sheet will redeem you, don't buy the book, and do well on the first 3 tests, because you get to drop your lowest test. If you already have an A going into it, you don't need to take the last test. For the GW each week, don't be in a group with your friends if you kno they are stupid, find someone smart cuz they will help your grades alot.
Don't buy the book. She'll provide the notes online and all you're required to do is print them. Class attendance isn't mandatory but recitation is. You only can miss that 3 times. If you pay attention theres really no reason why you should get anythin lower than a B. You're even allowed to have a cheat sheet for tests.
This class is super easy. She provides the notes for class, all you do is print online, DO NOT BUY BOOK! You have a quiz every Wed. but it is a group quiz and REALLY easy. The TA will even tell you if you have the answer right or wrong if you ask, at least mine did. You get a cheat sheet for test and she drops the lowest of four test grades.
Good Teacher drops the lowest test grade, and also allows a cheat sheet on the test. No final exam. Hard to understand her but she is still good. Strongly reccomend
Ok, everyone says this class is SUPER easy, either everyone is a Stats genius or she changed the curriculum. In particular I did well in the class, but the test averages were no higher than 75. She's a nice lady, no text book, and her class time does not exceed 50 mins. BUT Her tests are tricky and I recommend tutoringzone.
very nice professor, makes lessons very clear and uses printable notes which make the class very easy!
Lecture is not mandatory, but she explains her notes very clearly. Don't need the text book. Recitation work was easy, and TA was helpful.
Really easy class!! All of her tests are incredibly easy and you get to use a cheat sheet. Don't buy the book you'll never use it. I never went to class and still made an A. You do have to go to recitation though. As long as you have a good cheat sheet for the test you'll do well in the class.
Nice professor. I thought the class was ok, but I stopped going after a while cuz it was boring. I just went to TZ and they gave me a cheet sheet to use. Easy A without going.
VERY BORING! The class is very straight forward but only 1 of her 5 TAs seemed to speak English and can communicate properly. Easy A if you go to class though.
Easiest class i have ever taken! the lowest test score i have got is a 101! just go to tutoring zone and you will get an A+ for sure!
Very easy professor. I went to class maybe five times total, and I got an A in the class. I suck at math and this class was still really easy. She gives you a full page of paper front and back to write whatever you want to use for the tests, there is no homework, and recitation is super easy group work. PS don't buy the book!
AMAZING TEACHER! everything is easy. allowed to have notes on the test.
I didn't even go to class and still got an A. I just went to TutoringZone. They basically tell you what questions are going to be on the exam and give you a cheat sheet to copy for yourself.
She was funny in class, even if she wasnt meaning to be. She knows her stuff but leaves the grading to her Teacher Assistants so dont go to her to discuss a test grade. Got my highest grade in college so far in her class. I recommend her
No book needed. The notes she provides are very thorough. Pretty much don't need to go to class except for the ANOVA section. Lets you use a cheat sheet on the test.
very easy, going to class definitely helps. She gives out very easy to follow notes and there are weekly group quizzes that further explain everything. She's helpful when you ask and funny. I recommend.
The structure of the class is laid out to ensure you receive a good grade. I bounced around between a lot of different instructors for this course. The TAs give harder tests and pop quizzes in lecture and Radha lets you have a cheat sheet for the exams as well as group recitation quizzes.
Radha I love you. She is the best teacher on earth, organized, clear...She is a genius. Perfect teacher, TAKE her I promise, you will not regret. If you do not, you will be sorry. I had taken a previous teacher and I did not understand, so I had dropped the class. Everyone likes her, BIG HEART too!
Don't go to class, go to TutoringZone for sta2122 and sta2023. I never got below a 100% on my test. Go to recitations!
Her statistics class is a joke. All quizzes are "group work" and open note, and for the tests you're allowed to bring a note sheet (1 sheet notebook paper filled out front and back). Her class notes are online & basically fill in the blank. Easy A!
This class is a joke. Period. The end. Class averages are 80's and 90's. Yes, 90 average on the first test. Go to class though, don't get cocky or youll fall behind.
It was not easy but not extremely hard either.Pay attention in class and review the notes
EXCELLENT PROFESSOR! I was absent for over half the semester due to medical problems & was able to catch up with her help, take 5 exams within a 2wk period before finals, ace those exams, and finished with a 95. She drops 2 lowest grades, you'll have exams every other wk. She's sweet and u can come to her office anytime to copy notes. Studying = A+
SUPER EASY! Didn't go to class for 3/4 the semester. However when I did, she does a GREAT job of explaining math if you struggle with it. All quizzes (take place every other week in recitation) and final are allowed a cheat sheet. NO HOMEWORK! Textbook = notes posted online!
I NEVER WENT TO CLASS. EVER (after first day attendance, of course). her notes are posted on blackboard, that's really all you need. got an A. EASY CLASS.
I haven't been to class in ages and still have an A. The class is extremely easy and also whenever you take a quiz she has a cheat sheet. The TAs are helpful and she is wonderful herself.
easy class, easy A. Cheat sheet on quizzes. only test is the final. your bound to do well.
Pretty easy class, do the practice problems
If you can't get an A in this class, you might as well drop out. Didn't go to class, skipped two quizzes and labs (you only need best 5 of 7) and didn't study for the final and got a 92. Your study guides for each quiz and for the final are enough to get you an A. Great teacher that loves her students... literally.
Best professor ever. Extremely easy class and easy final.
Extremely easy class because she gives helpful examples and notes. Recitation activities and quizzes helped too. Easy A. She is very clear and helpful.
Nice lady, makes the subject easy. Good class to take.
Took her class online, that was a mistake. If you attended her class though you will get it, very helpful whenever you need it. Would definitively recommend her class, just not online.
Great teacher. Easy class. Just show up every day, follow the notes, and you'll ace it no problem. She goes to great lengths to explain every concept, and makes it super easy to pass.
I'm not a math person by any means, but this class was not bad. Radha is very nice and helpful. You get a 100 on assignments just for showing up, so that's a helpful grade booster. I had trouble finishing the final on time, but she lets you use note sheets to make it easier. Also, she drops your lowest assignment and quiz!
This will be the easiest A you receive from Florida State University. I ended with a 102 and only went to the first two classes. You will be fine!
VERY easy class! she is so helpful and easy to talk too. let's you make up one missed quiz & drops one. she is sooo sweet and makes this class as easy as possible, highly recommend!
Very simple teaching method, makes it very easy to understand the concepts. As long as you show up, pay attention, and take your notes, you'll do awesome in her class.
The class is easy if you pay attention and come to class. We don't use textbooks, all notes. Even though the class is easy, don't underestimate it. She is quite helpful too if you go to her office hours. Go to recitation;it's an easy 20% of your grade :) The quizzes are 50% and the final is 30%. Good Luck!
Radha is great instructor, entertaining and very helpful. She cares a lot about her students and makes a hard subject.
Rhada is a great Buisness Stat teacher! I failed Buisness Stat once before with another teacher but ever since Ive been in her class Ive gotten A's on all the quizes. You just need to go to class and do the notes and practice problems. Then quizes should be a breeze. You dont need a textbook and she puts it in simple terms so you get it.
Radha is the most kind generous helpful teacher I have had in college. She knows her material very well and gives you no excuse to not understand it. Class participation is easy, 50 min lectures go by fast,(she usually lets you out early anyways)would def take another class with her!
If you go to class, do the practice problems, and make good cheat sheets (which she allows for the quizzes and final) you will do well. Just be careful on the quizzes because they may seem small but there are only 7 and they are 50% of your grade.
One of the best teachers I have had here. She is very helpful an the quizzes r not bad . If u make a good cheat sheet it will be a breeze.
Had to retake this course, cause I failed it with Prof. Chung. But Dr. Bose was the BEST professor!! No book use, just notes! She and the T.A.s are extremely helpful. The class is super easy, but in a way where she effectively helped us understand the material. She really wants to make sure everyone does well in her class! I got an A!
She was the easiest teacher ive ever had. just take the notes and make a good cheat sheet and youll get an A no problem. I didnt go to class and just got the notes from my roommate and still was easy
She is the best professor I've had at FSU. She will explain anything to you whenever you need it. The way she does her notes (you print them out at home and do them together in class) is the most effective at this college. The only way to do badly in this class is by trying to fail. Not to mention the material is beyond easy.
As a student who struggles with math, I was pleased to excel in this course-- all due to Prof. Bose's teaching. She explains all material in detail, provides her own notes, and allows cheat sheets on quizzes. All homework is optional. If you attend class and pay attention, you will be fine. And she's very helpful with answering questions.
EXCELLENT professor. She explains everything in great detail and genuinely wants her students to do well. Print notes, go to class, and make your cheat sheets for the exams thorough and you're guaranteed an A. I took her over the summer, went to every class, and ended with a 102 average. I would take her again in a heartbeat!
The best teacher I have had at FSU. She understands that many taking her course have very limited ability and interest when it comes to taking math. She will give you everything you need to succeed and then some. All you need to to is go to class, print out the notes, pay attention, and make the cheat sheets she lets you have!
If you go to class and copy all the notes she does you're basically guaranteed an A. She's really patient and makes it a point to make sure you know exactly what will be on quizzes/the final. I would definitely take another class with her.
No textbook. She posts notes online. Take quizzes in recitation and attendance is an easy A is you participate. Easy class because you can use a cheat sheet. But in my opinion you still have to know how to do the problems because or you will be lost. Go to class and Do the practice problems. YOU Will pass. TONS of extra credit!
Radha is an awesome professor. Simply attend lectures and you will do well. There is no need for a book. The quizzes are extremely simple. She allowed us to choose which topics we wanted on the final exam, and everything else was extra credit. All of my quiz grades were 100% or better. Seriously, this class couldn't be any easier. TAKE HER !
She is the sweetest professor ever and makes this class super easy for all those who attend class and recitation! I'm not a huge math person and ended with a 103% in the class!
Radha is one of the best math teachers I've ever had. An A is totally doable as long as you print out the notes, take them in class or get them from a friend, go to every recitation, and make decent quiz sheets. If you are taking Intro to Stats, take it with Radha.
take her! she is amazing and i'm terrible at math usually. go to every recitation and make a thorough cheat sheet for the quiz/final and you'll at least get a B or higher.
Class is really easy. Quizzes every 2 weeks. No homework. No textbook, just the notes she asks you to print before the class.
Everyone told me to take this class with her cause it was really easy. So far it has proved as easy but her notes are a little bit scattered. If you can kind of piece together the missing holes in her lecture notes than you'll do great in the class. Alternates quizzes and activities each friday and you get a cheat sheet on the quizzes/final.
If you fill in her notes and do the practice problems before each quiz, you will be golden. You get a cheat sheet for everything... and she couldn't make it any easier. I got an A on every quiz. Easy peezy. I recommend taking this professor!
Very helpful! Sometimes hard to hear but if you sit up front and actually pay attention you will do great! You have a quiz in recitation every other week, NO TEST, except the final. But she lets you bring a cheat sheet to every quiz and its pretty simple stuff.
TAKE THIS CLASS. Super easy. If you print the notes and attend class, and make study sheets for the quizzes you will ace the class for sure. Class isn't too boring and I never dreaded going. Quizzes every other week, no tests and a final. But you can have a cheat sheet for the quizzes and 2 cheat sheets for the final.
One of the best math professors I've had! She is very helpful if you go to office hours. No HW, just quizzes every other week and a final. The cheat sheets helped me a lot! The course material is not all that difficult either.
I AM OBSESSED WITH RADHA. she is an incredible teacher; enjoyed her as a professor. class material is not a joke but not like orgo here, it's feasible. if you put in the work you will get an A i had a C+/B+ all semester and got a 99 on the final and ended with an A in the class radha is literally the best i recomment this class! LOVEEEEEEE HER
She's a good teacher. Not a hard class at all. Go to class and recitation and you shouldn't have trouble getting a AB. she lets you use notes on quizzes and final, which is extremely helpful. Quizzes every other week and ParticipationIn class assignments the other weeks. really recommend for an easy stats class. AND NO HOMEWORK!
Radha is a doll. She is an amazing professor. No textbook required, she writes the notes herself. You can you a sheet of notes on every quiz, and two sheets on the final. No reason you shouldn't pass. She's helpful, clear and quizzes are beyond easy. Go to class, make your cheat sheet and you'll get an A.
She does have an accent so sometimes it can be hard to understand but you can tell she cares and she tries to go slow so everyone understands and is very straightforward with steps on how to do problems. I would take again.
Super chill. She understands unlike other professors and cuts us some slack. If you're bad at math, take her. If you're good at math, take her. Quizzes every other week with a cheat sheet. Final includes cheat sheets too. Highly recommend. Seriously.
Radha is a sweetheart! She is always willing to help and extremely understanding. She makes the material super easy to grasp, and as long as you attend lecture and actually pay attention, an A is definitely possible. While this is a pretty easy class, its also easy to fall behind. I would definitely take her again if I could!
If you have to take stats, take Radha. She is an excellent teacher. No exams except the final and you get 2 cheat sheets. Attendance isnt mandatory but I suggest it. I missed a month of school and she was very accommodating. I got 102% on her final exam. Its very straightforward.. no surprises. Take her!
TAKE THE CLASS WITH RADHA. She's amazing and so helpful. Easy A. The TA's are great too.
I would HIGHLY recommend Radha for any statistics class! She is very easy to understand and the way she teaches is very helpful. She knows her stuff and helps to make math more interesting. The only test is the final exam and you get 2 cheat sheets! I got a 103% and a 101% overall in the class. As long as you keep up with the notes, you'll do good!
My favorite professor I've had at FSU. She made me actually enjoy statistics. She is funny and actually cares about her students.
Such a sweet teacher who really wants you to do well! Hard to fail this class. Drops the lowest quiz grade and you get a 100% on every activity if you show up. Ended up with a super A in the class. Don't slack off and go to class for the notes!
Excellent teacher! You don't really need to go to class but the lectures are easy to sit through and her tests are exactly like the examples she does in class.
Shes great. It's not a class worth skipping. Her lectures are so clear and easy to understand. Go to her office hours for help. She will help you so much.
I had never taken a statistics class and came in so nervous. Radha made the class so manageable and I thought she was hilarious. Go to class with her printed out lecture outlines and you will get an A. You get cheat sheets on your quizzes every other week and on the final. Nothing bad to say about her RADHA IS BAE
Radha is the bomb
Intro to stats. Radha is very clear and is there for you to help if you go looking for it. Her grading is straight forward. You just have to put the effort into the class. Bi-weekly quizzes and only one test which is the final. No homework which sometimes makes it hard to make sure you are keeping up
Radha is a great teacher. She thoroughly explains each concept and provides numerous examples in the notes that you go through together in class, not to mention many practice examples (and answers) for studying at home. All notes must be printed, though. Study for the bi-weekly quizzes and do well! Bring the correct calculator (TI-84 Plus).
Best teacher hands down for Stat. My friends who had other teachers did awful. Definitely take her. All the notes are preprinted out and have an activity every other Friday and a super easy quiz every other week. For the quizzes you can have a cheat sheet so basically impossible to do bad.
She is a great professor, she can teach a lesson that might be good or bad for you, but if you go to her office hours she is amazing! Exactly what a good professor should be! She is kind and always willing to help, you will enjoy this class. Her cheat sheet policy is nice and her quizzes and tests require appropriate studying. TAKE HER!
Radha is the best. She is very friendly and respectful and makes Business Statistics simple. There is a quiz or activity every Friday in recitation along with the Final Exam. For each quiz and the final exam, you are allowed cheat cheats which makes the class very easy to do well in. Take her, she's bae
Radha wants you to do well. If you go to her office hours, she will let you copy the notes if you missed class. The quizzes and final are easy. Quizzes are every other week, and in between those days you have a weekly "activity" at your lab which is just a participation grade - easy. There's no tests, just quizzes and a final. Recommended.
The class is failproof. Keep on top of the notes and try on the quizesshow up to activities, it's an EASY A. She drops the lowest quiz grade & offers extra credit. Lecture isn't very funis dry, but its doable. I skrewed up and missed a couple activities which is 20% of your grade
Radha's Class consists of alternating quizzes and activities at the end of every week. In my opinion, they get progressively more difficult as the semester goes on, although I lost a bit of interest over time and thought each quiz would be super easy regardless. There is no other test other than the final so that is crucial.
I am AWFUL at all things math and I passed with a B --- so I highly recommend. Grade consists of 6 participation activities --- all easy A's. 6 quizzes -- most were kinda tough (lowest quiz gets dropped) and the final -- also kinda tough. BUT no homework, no textbook, and she is merciful with extra credit. Help is also there whenever needed.
GREAT AND SWEET TEACHER. Really cares about you passing!! You get 100 percents every other week if you just show up!! Drops your lowest quiz grade and your finalquiz is worth 3050 percent of your grade depending on which one gives you the highest grade! Offers extra credit. OPEN NOTE QUIZZES. NO HOMEWORK. HAPPY TO HELP EVERYONE and ANYONE!!
I am terrible at math. Radha made everything so easy to understand. She makes her own notes so you know what is on there is what you actually need to know. She gives out a lot of quizzes and takes attendance so it's important to go to class, but even if you miss, she is always willing to meet with you during her hours to provide you notes. Loved it
Very patient and takes time for questions while moving through notes. No text, just print notes (make sure you keep up with printing or have someone you can copy from later.) I got an A, but took stat before. A lot of people struggle sometimes but Radha is patient and helpful to those having trouble. Must go to class to keep up. Bi-weekly quizzes.
Radha is so helpful. Her quizzes are clear and she covers everything! There are quizzes every other week but you can bring in a sheet of notes when you take it. Really easy. No textbook needed but you do have to print out the notes. I would highly suggest taking from her.
She is AWESOME. Goes over every single problem in class and you can make a cheat sheet for the quizzes. If you can get the notes you never have to go to class. Probably one of the easiest classes I've taken.
Radha is amazing and loves to teach her students. She will make sure to thoroughly explain almost everything that she is teaching for the lessons. There are quizzes every other week which are usually not too hard. She also allows cheats sheets for the quizzes.
Radha is so cute shes great teacher, really knows statistics and how to dumb it down! she does printed out fill in the blank notes which isnt my favorite way of taking notes but its easy to catch up when you fall behind with that note taking style. Quizzes every other week, only one test which is the final.
Great professor! Super sweet, cares about how her students do and wants nothing less of an A from everyone. She allows cheat sheets for the quizzes and exam and tells you what kind of questions you will encounter. One of my favorite professors so far.
For her class you only have activities and quizzes in your recitation. Quizzes are very easy if you study for a little bit and you get a cheat sheet. Would recommend her over any other stat teacher.
YOU! YES YOU. TAKE THIS CLASS. YES. TAKE IT. YOU GET CHEAT SHEETS. JUST TRY A LITTLE BIT AND ITS AN EASY A!!!! There is no textbook but you have to print like 25 pages of notes per chapter
For your cheat sheets, don't just write down concepts, write down EXACT problems EXACTLY how they're worded. Really helps. It's tempting to skip class as there's no participation but it only hurts you when the night before the quizzes comes around and you have no notes. Also, Radha is so sweet and wants you to succeed.
Radha Bose is the best math professor I have had at FSU. Because of her class, I decided to pursue a SAS certification. She made stats easy to understand and never had a problem answering any questions/concerns! SHE IS WONDERFUL.
Radha is a sweet professor. She can get a little rambly sometimes, but only because she wants to make sure is perfectly clear. She always came to class happy. Only downside is you have to print about 20-25 pages of notes per chapter we learn.
Radha is very knowledgeable and will help you if you ask for it. She also allows you to make cheat sheets for the quizzes and the final. It won't be your favorite class, but you won't be pulling your hair out.
RADHA BOSE IS AWESOME. No exams! Just weekly quizzes on the topics you're covering in class and a short final. Simply study the packets she makes and you'll be fine, she's so sweet and funny. I wish I could take her again.
Bose is AMAZING. No test - just quizzes every other week and a final. She is super helpful. One of my favorite teachers at FSU
RADHA IS AWESOME! She is super helpful, friendly, and explains complicated concepts very well. Her notes are straight forward and are set up similarly to quizzes and the final exam. no exams besides the final. quizzes every other week, but you can bring in one cheat sheet of info. for the final you get 2 cheat sheets. she drops your lowest quiz.
Super helpful, always willing to spend extensive time with you during office hours if you ever need any extra help. Very easy to follow along, even if you're not great at math.
Great professor, would definitely take again. Very clear with what is expected. Allows one whole cheat sheet (front and back) on tests, and two cheat sheets for the final exam. No textbook required
Love her! Notes are very clear and activities help understand the quizzes. Such a nice lady.
Go to class and actually do the problems with her and you'll never have to study outside of class if you have a good memory and actually pay attention in lecture. If you have any questions she tells you to ask your TA not her. You don't have to do the try it on your own just make a solid cheat sheet she lets you use for the test.
Don't need a textbook, just fill in some printed pages during lectures. She provides homework practice problems too. Nice and good at explaining concepts.
The best stats teacher ever! I hated AP stats in high school but she's an excellent teacher! She cares about her students, as long as you fill in the notes you'll get an A. Only quizzes and one final at the end of the semester. Take her, she's an angel.
Radha is the best! Very organized notes, office hours always available, and the best part were the cheat sheets allowed on every quiz & final. As long as you put in effort and don't skip class too much you should get an A. She's very kind and cares about each of her students even in a room of 100+.
I am TERRIBLE at math, despise it, and it scares me. This is the first time in my entire life that i've enjoyed(?) math, and felt confident. She provides such CLEAR notes and is willing to help you (flexible). She's great at explaining. She is so sweet, literally everyone leaves her class with the feeling you get when you've just adopted a kitten.
As long as you go to class and take notes you should be fine. There's no text required, just note packets you should print. There's no homework at all and you're allowed a cheat sheet on every quiz and exam. Studying isn't even necessary, as long as you make a good cheat sheet you should be able to pass. Also, your lowest quiz grade is dropped.
Statistics is tough, but she explains it in an intuitive manor. The curriculum is light for a statistics class and the quiz formatting is forgiving for grades because they are open note. She is very nice and helpful. Textbook not required, but I highly suggest printing her class notes, the questions on there reflect the quizzes. 5 quizzes 1 drops
Sweetest professor I've had! No textbook, just notes you need to print (I advise printing and using them). 5 quizzes, 1 drop and 2 opportunities to make up missed quizzes. For quizzes, you get one front and back cheat sheet. Final is cumulative but you get 2 front and back cheat sheets. She is funny, helpful, and kind, definitely recommend!
She is a very good teacher and the class is relatively easy. You get cheat sheets for all tests/quizzes and you drop your lowest quiz grade. All you need to do to pass is show up to class and take notes on the note sheets that you have to print out (no textbook needed).
Barely showed up and got an A. Allows cheat sheets on every quiz and final exam. Seriously easy.
Her quizzes make up the majority of your grade. She lectures through packets you have to print out. She is very helpful and teaches as if you have never heard of anything like this before so everything is easily understandable.
Super easy class if you attend and fill in note packet. She includes try on your own exercises for each chapter. You get 1 cheat sheet for every quiz and 2 for the non-cumulative final. EASY EASY, best stats professor at FSU.
She's a greater teacher. The material can be confusing at times, but she allows you to miss two quizzes and retake later in the year, you will most likely understand the material then. If you take any stats class take it with Radha. Attendence isn't taken but going to class will help you understand her notes. Not textbook to buy, yayyy!
Great professor. Made statistics easy. Only have 5 quizzes and a final exam. For each quiz you can have cheat sheet and for the final you can have 2 cheat sheets. She is a great lecturer and makes you understand the material. Highly recommend.
Go to class and take notes. Recitation is just easy activities or quizzes that you can use a cheat sheet on. She lets you have two cheat sheets on final. No textbook or online program required. The lectures do get boring after a while, but the class is awn easy A if you show up and take notes and go to recitation.
You have to take stats as a requirement take it with her!!!!! EASY EASY A. The class consists of 5 quizzes, activities, and a final. Drops the lowest quiz grade and allows us to use cheat sheets on quizzes AND the final. No textbook but she will ask you print out the notes for each topic she goes over.
I absolutely loved Professor Bose. She tackles the oftentimes complex subject matter in an easy to understand way. You are allowed to have cheat sheets on your tests and final exam, and the activities you do in recitation are an easy A (as long as you go). I would highly recommend taking statistics with Professor Bose, she is amazing!
Radha is the head of the stat department so she has very clear grading criteria and is very easy going. She knows what she is doing and when she makes a mistake she admits it. Probably one of the easiest math classes Ive ever taken, you get a cheat sheet for every quiz and 2 for the final.
Radha is such a sweetheart, shes really funny and provides easy access. She explains material clearly and exams are based on quizzes. AMAZING TEACHER!!! Will retake her over a thousand times lol
I love Radha!! She's genuinely sweet and she knows what shes doing. Her notes are thorough, and as she said on the first day of class, you will pass her class. There's makeups for quizzes (if you miss) and she drops the lowest quiz grade (out of 4). And you get cheat sheets on the quizzes and final exam.
Radha is an amazing teacher. You get a cheat sheet for every quiz & two for the final. Her notes are amazing be sure to print those out & do the try it on your own questions when studying for the quizzes. I only studied for each quiz for about an hour & a half & got over a 100 on all of them. She explains everything super well and is really nice.
One of my favorites. Her lectures are easy to follow and explained with patience and multiple examples. The quizzes are very fair. A very caring, organized, great, and well-respected professor!
Just go to class! Everything is explained really well and if you have trouble go to office hours!
Awesome teacher, and is so cute with her jokes in class! Just take notes that are gone over in class, study the notes and the weekly quizzes will be easy! You can makeup two quizzes, so use that to your advantage! Great class!
Radha is a great professor! I strongly recommend taking her for this class. She makes stats easy to understand and she is hilarious. She lets you use a cheat sheet on the quizzes (one quiz is dropped) and two cheat sheets on the final. TAKE HER!!!
Professor Bose is a great professor as everyone pretty much says here lol Her quizzes aren't that bad but her final was rougher than I would have expected. I used skoolers for the final and it helped a lot. Also if you go to office hours, you'll see she is the sweetest lady on the planet!
Even though her lectures are incredibly slow (but maybe well-paced for others), she is a great professor and I loved her attitude. The quizzes aren't hard but they aren't a breeze either. You do get cheat sheets which definitely helps. She seems to be pretty accessible always. Definitely take her.
I have taken statistics before & passed with As. I had to retake the course at FSU because all my credits didnt transfer from my previous university. Nice lady, but her teaching style does not work for me! I need one on one help, which is hard in a big classroom. You have TAs but they do not explain things in lament terms. Must apply yourself!
She cares about her students a lot. Some of the material is challenging so if you're not good at math, I'd seek a tutor. Theres quizzes almost every other week and she gives you practice that is very helpful. The lecture is lengthy and sometimes she kinda goes all over the place, but generally she's a very good teacher.
Great personality and teaches you exactly what you need to know for quizzes and final. Only 5 quizzes and a final, lowest quiz grade gets dropped. If your quiz average is higher than your final, quizzes count more than the final. You get a cheat sheet for every quiz and two for the final.
5 quizzes, 5 activities (if you show up and do work you automatically get a 100), final exam is on 6 chapters. Quizzes you get 1 cheat sheet and the final you get 2. Lectures seem to go on forever. She wants you to do well & is willing to help. Easy class if you are willing to make a cheat sheet and do the try on own problems/ activities
Taking Radha Bose for STA 2023 was def worth it. She cares about her students and wanting them to succeed. Only 5 quizzes and 1 final that are not super difficult if you practice on your own and make the cheat sheet she allows. She is a great person and probably one of the nicest professors I've ever met. Not a hard class at all if you try.
She is so great and tries to make things applicable to the real world. Cheat sheets make the class amazing. Quizzes, activities(which is like show up to recitation and participate), and final. She even gives greater weight to whichever you scored best on (quizzes/final). If you miss class, you can get notes from her office hours easily.
Ms. Bose is a great professor and truly cares about her students doing well. The class is in the hundreds, so paying attention can be difficult at times, but if you review the notes before the quizzes and final, you should do well. Would definitely take her again.
If you need to take stats, take Radha! She is very kind and the class is biweekly quizzes and when there isn't a quiz, there's a participation activity. You also get a cheat sheet for each quiz and 2 for the final exam. If you must miss lecture, she'll gladly give you the notes in her office hours. She truly wants everyone to pass!
Radha is an amazing teacher. Her notes are thorough, explains everything very well, and is very caring. Attendance is important in order to get all the notes but she is also very accessible outside of class. Her class is very easy since you get to use cheat sheets during quizzes and the final exam.
Easy class, definitely would take again.
Radha is the best! She was in contact with a class a lot and it showed she really cared. If you study even a little bit, you will love this class. Just show up to class.
She made the class incredibly easy and nice. Cheat sheets are allowed on quizzes and final. Quizzes every other week. Work is easy and fun. Would love to take again!
Amazing, sweet professor. You will learn SO much in this class, and she genuinely cares for each and every one of her students. There are 5 quizzes, and you are allowed to miss up to 3 without documentation. Lowest quiz grade is dropped too! The LSQA is easy af too, I got a 100 and didnt even have to study. Would definitely take again!!
If you fail this class theres something wrong with you. I skipped class for 8 weeks in a row and got a 102.5% on the final. She literally gives you the answers like you gotta try to fail this class.
I don't know what you're doing if you're not about to take Ms. Bose She is absolutely amazing if you come to class you will learn. Don't come to class? You can still pass! She is amazing and always clarifies things when need be. She is also very sweet, I think we got to drop two quizzes, you don't need to provide docs if you need to retake two test
Easiest math class you will ever take. Never studied and got a 102% on the final. Just show up the class, take the notes, and this class will be an easy A/GPA booster. Her lectures are also not that bad and she is very caring offering lots of help if you need it. Don't take with anyone else.
Radha was super cool in trying different ways for students to do well in her class. She always kept us super updated on what to expect for the week and for quizzes. The only thing I disliked was she expected us to print out a ton of long packets to take notes on.
Her lectures are clear, concise, and easy to follow. Going to class is super helpful but not required. Recitation is where almost all grades come from. Every other week is a quiz and you get to bring a sheet of notes to use. For the final you're allowed two sheets of notes. Problems done in class completely prepare you for the quizzes.
She's awesome. She really gives you absolutely everything you need to pass. she provides the notes, you just have to go to lecture to fill in the blanks and use the extra try-on-your-own problems if you need them. the best part is you get a cheat sheet front and back for every quiz and 2 pages for the final.
Best math professor i've ever had! She gives great lectures and her quizzes are easy with the cheat sheet she allows. She truly cares about her students and goes above and beyond to make sure everyone understands the material. I definitely recommend taking statics with her!
She will make you print out a ton of packets and in-class notes but honestly they are so helpful. She makes the subject easy and always lets you use a page of notes on any quiz or test! Highly recommend.
Make sure to print out the packets and go to class.
Professor Bose was the nicest, most helpful professor I've ever had. She truly cares about her students and explains the material very clearly. She allows cheat sheets for quizzes and the final, which were very nice! TAKE HER CLASS, I would take it again in a heartbeat and I never expected to like statistics.
I haven't been to lecture since the first week of the semester and I still have an A in the class! She posts all of her notes filled in as well as calculator help. Quizzes are every other Friday and she allows cheat sheets for them and the final. Also has 2 quiz make up days in case you miss any, as well as extra credit. Easiest stats class ever!
She's a lovely lady! She ACTUALLY teaches during her lectures, step by step on how to do the procedures. There's a lot of writing when answering the problems, but you get cheat sheets for ALL quizzes/exams and it's completely doable. I got an A in the class, you can too.
Radha made this class so nice and simple. She's definitely one of the best professors I have had in FSU. If you've never taken a stats class, I recommend going to class and listening to her lectures. Her quizzes and tests reflected what she taught in the class. She also shows she cares about her students. I loved her!!
This professor is so generous that this class is hard to fail. She does a great job explaining the material and lets you have one page of written notes for each quiz you take and two sheets for the final and drops your lowest quiz score on top of that. You can also make up up to two quizzes if you miss them and those days saved my grade.
Radha is a great professor, very good at presenting the information. The quizzes are essentially the notes she goes over in class. Use the cheat-sheet and study the notes and the class is a breeze.
One of the best professors I've had so far at FSU. Radha gives very clear lectures and goes step by step through problems. Even opens up to the audience to stop her at any point to ask questions or clarify in a lecture with 300+ students. Quizzes are fairly easy if you do all the activities handed out in Friday recitations.
The absolute cutest and most down to earth professor. Attendance is not mandatory, no homework, no exams. Quizzes every other week in recitation. Super easy A and with a professor who really cares. She kind of almost babys you like a mom, love her.
Dr. Bose made Statistics as interesting as she possibly could to someone such as myself with no interest in the subject. She did not rush through anything, and gave very clear instructions for each subject.
After how hard business calc was I was nervous to take stat as I have very little knowledge on the subject. Radha Bose makes the class super easy and is very clear with instructions. No homework, class isn't mandatory except a recitation every other week where you take short quizzes. Also allowed a cheat sheet on every quiz
Showed up to one lecture all semester and ended up with a 98%. Posts every lecture and extra problems with explained solutions. In class quiz every other week (looked at the notes for 1 hour the night before and did fine) and an online quiz every other week thats no math, but questions about the syllabus and email's she's sent. EASIEST CLASS EVER.
Basically show up to class and actually use the notes she posts on canvas, print them out and fill them in, attendance is not mandatory however, you should show up if you want get a good grade. she has easy online quizzes some weeks and in class quizzes some weeks. You get to use a Study sheet for every quiz. Also make up quiz days if u get"sick"
I showed up to probably 3 lectures and finished with an A in the class. The online quizzes are meant to get 100's on, the in-class quizzes you can bring a cheat sheet but they are a little harder. LSQA is so easy and the final was hard but I studied really hard the night before and got a 97%!!!
Showed up the first week of class, reviewed the notes online a day or two before the quiz/test, and got an extremely high A in this class. She is the nicest professor and the TA's grade very easily.
This class is a guaranteed A as long as you learn the material and do well on the quizzes. Her quizzes are exactly like her notes so as long as you study the notes you should be good! Honestly she cares so much!! There are so many opportunities to do well in this class.
Radha is the most passionate professor I have ever encountered. She truly cares about teaching the material and does it in the best way possible. She is funny in class, though might not mean to be. She scans and posts all the in class notes on canvas. The grade book is based solely on quizzes every week and the final, which was nice. Take her.
Radha is the best! There are online quizzes that you can take an unlimited amount of times until you get an A and in class quizzes which you can make a cheat sheet for. She really cares for her students and wants to see everyone succeed.
The class is graded off of biweekly in-class quizzes, biweekly online quizzes, and the final exam. For each in-class quiz, you can bring a front and back sheet of written notes which makes the quizzes fairly easy as they are formatted the same as the notes. Radha is super nice and will help with any confusion on class notes during office hours.
Radha cares about her students and does everything she can to help. There is a quiz every week, alternating between online and in class. You can take online quizzes unlimited times and you get a cheat sheet for in class quizzes. You also get a cheat sheet for the final. Posts notes online. Only showed up to 4 classes and got over 100% in the class.
She is the best math teacher you will ever get. She goes over the material very well and her quizzes are just like the problems she assigns. You are allowed 1 cheat sheet for the quizzes and they are extremely easy. I never attended class and I would get 95% or higher. Only down side is that her office hours are scrambled and change every week
She is a very sweet lady and cares about her students but, take the class online with a different professor. I am in her in person class and never received anything higher than an 80 on her in class quizzes. Final was brutal. If it werent for the cheat sheets I would have failed.
Although Radha is a great teacher, she is not what makes this class hard. The TAs in your recitation will either make or break you, considering that is where you will take your tests. Honestly though, did not retain one bit of information, would have failed if it wasn't for cheat cheats, and honestly believe that certain TAs jipped individuals.
This class was easy. She provides the lecture notes and gives examples that are EXACTLY like the questions you would see on the quiz! The TAs helped explained things also. I recommend this class!!
Her lectures are sometimes hard to follow because the way her pre lecture notes are made are all over the place. So shes constantly flipping the pages back and forth. But shes super nice and caring. And as long as you study you should pass.
Extremely nice and understanding. Drops your lowest quiz grade at the end of the semester. You do have to study for her quizzes though and she tells you everything for the final. She is definitely the bests statistics professor at FSU! Never any homework, just 6 canvas quizzes (easy), 6 in class quizzes and your final exam.
She is such a sweet and genuine person! She actually cares about her students even when COVID-19 happened. She didnt make it difficult for us by doing all this extra stuff that other professors do. She makes jokes in class that makes students want to pay attention. I just love her soo much. TAKE THIS CLASS IF YOU CAN and thank me later!
Professor Bose is an amazing professor. Her class is basically lectures with in class quizzes every other Friday and online quizzes every other Friday that you aren't taking an in class quiz. The key to this class is doing the "try on your own" problems in the notes, these ARE the quizzes. I HIGHLY recommenced.
she was a great teacher! she made stats easy understand. There are no tests, only quizzes
Very lenient on grading and will always help her students. You dont need to go to class but you do need to go in every other week for the In Class Quiz! She had to put half of the class online this semester and it made it so much easier as she allowed student collaboration on the quizzes and give two attempts!!
Such a genuine teacher. With the pandemic happening, she was so understanding! Grades are made up of multiple quizzes and she drops many low grades! She will boost your score up if you are borderline!! AMAZING TEACHER
Radha is the best. She went out of her way for us during the Pandemic and was the ONLY Prof to be accommodating. She cares for her students. Her quizzes are easy but you need to study as the content builds on each other. As long as you study and follow the plan, you'll get an A. Drops two inclass quizzes and one online quiz and allows two makeups.
Professor Bose really is such a sweet person, but I just couldn't learn from her teaching style. She teaches from packets that you fill in and then tests you every week on the information in the packet.
Best teacher ever nicest lady and easiest class
She is one of the sweetest professors ever! She cares for her students and wants them to succeed. She gives a lot of opportunities to boost up the grades and she has been very understanding throughout this extraordinary pandemic situation. All you have to do is to study the notes and know how to use the calculator, you will be fine in the class.
I've never had a prof who cares so much about her students. Knowing we'd struggle with remote learning, she canceled the final because she wanted us to actually learn the concepts rather than memorize for a test. So sweet, and makes it a goal to reply and answer any possible questions.
I absolutely hate stats, but I have to give it to Professor Bose because she was such a caring and accommodating person! She really made life easier and made the content easier to understand. If you can, take stats with her!!!!
Professor Bose is the G.O.A.T. literally, she was the most accommodating professor during the quarantine. Also, she gave so many opportunities for people to get A's in her class like she made in classes quizzes 2 attempts each, legit she carries you through the course. Stats was easy because of her. LOVE HER!
There are online quizzes with unlimited attempts and then in-person quizzes, so you only have "discussion" every other week. The in-person quizzes aren't bad but i've missed out on points. Her lecture can get veeeeery long but you don't really need to go to class cause she posts everything.
This is the best math teacher I have had in my ENTIRE life. With Prof Bose I probably would have never passed stats. Because she is such a good professor the class becomes easy. The class is based on a few online quizzes that you can take unlimitedly, as well as, a in class quizzes. If you go to class and get the necessary help you can get an A.
Professor Bose is one of the best professors I have had. She is so nice and so caring. She makes the class so easy, there is no way anyone should not pass this course
I hate to give a different review than others but this class is just awful. I took AP stats and used this class as a refresher. I ran a lot of her notes by my old stats teacher and he said that a lot of what she is doing in class is flat out wrong. We may be getting an "easy" class at the expense of correct information. What a disgrace.
This class is an easy A if you attend lectures (unless you took AP Stat in HS recently this might be a lot easier for you and just review) and do the homework even though she doesn't check it. You also get to use a hand-written cheat sheet on the in-class quizzes so make sure to do that!
I was very surprised to find such a high rating for this teacher. I took her online class for 3 weeks due to COVID and the class was awful. Very non-informational lecture videos. Her videos were basically just 30 min. of her reading over a PDF - with bad audio. Quizzes with unlimited attempts, but it doesn't tell you what you did incorrectly.
This class wasnt too difficult for me since I already took Ap stat in high school. However, if you dont have any experience in statistics I would not recommend this course since her videos do get confusing if you dont know what she is talking about. I also take it online too so if you arent comfortable taking it online i wouldnt recommend it.
lots of quizzes. Prepares you for quizzes. I'm not confident with math so I booked office hours to go over things with her. I asked her things I should have known and she did not judge me. she kindly explained and went over everything. very down to earth and nice about extending due dates if you ask. I learned lot! it's a rewarding class if you try
Professor Bose is a true gem. She is super nice and really helps you. She makes her lectures and tests reasonable so that you are able to concentrate on other classes. Plus, this class does not have a final so that's a plus.
Usually only 2 quizzes a week. One quiz has unlimited tries while the other one has 2. Very easy class as long as you watch the videos
Radha is great!! She really cares about her students and is willing to help however she can! Class is literally just quizzes. This year (fall 2020) we had no final. you have 1-3 lectures a week with 2 quizzes per chapter. 1 quiz you have unlimited tries and the other you get 2 tries. If you watch the videos and use the notes youll pass. take her!!
Take this class!! At first, I thought the lectures were super long and boring, but realized that she sets you up to do well on the quizzes (open quizzes with unlimited attempts and timed quizzes with 2 attempts) and truly cares about her students. There are quizzes every week, but there was no final which was great! Would definitely recommend her
Ms. Bose is a great lecturer. Her assignments and quizzes are easy - she walks through similar problems during lecture. If there is space, this is a must take class.
Super easy course, she gives great notes and its just weekly quizzes with the lowest two dropped.
Really nice lady and a very easy class. Hard to fail honestly and she is very approachable when you e-mail her. The open quizzes have unlimited attempts, the timed quizzes have 2 attempts, and there is no final exam! Also, no Honorlock or annoying proctoring software. Take this class with her, you won't regret it.
The class is full of open and timed quizzes, each with multiple attempts. The lecture and notes for the class are easy to understand and clear on the content. Throughout the course, Professor Bose was available to help students. Highly suggest taking any courses with her.
I had this class fully online and it was perfect. There were unlimited attempts for open quizzes, and two tries for the timed quizzes, so it was basically impossible to fail. Prof Bose also got back to emails very quickly. Take her!!!
Great Professor! The class grade is based on open quizzes and timed quizzes. Open quizzes she gave unlimited attempts and it covered general information of the lesson the timed quizzes were a little bit more specific and acted as tests but she allowed two attempts. The quizzes were based on her notes and videos where she explains the content well.
TAKE HER CLASS!! she never gave exams just 2 quizzes a week, first is open with unlimited attempted second is timed with 2 attempts. No homework No final and she posts 3 lectures and notes for each chapter. She does talk slow but makes it easy to understand. 10/10 and that's coming from someone who failed at stats last semester
Profesor Bose is truly amazing! She is very caring and wants you to succeed in her class. Make sure to watch the lecture videos, as they set you up to do well. Strongly suggest taking this course with her!
She is the best! I took the class while it was still online. You have an open quiz and a timed quiz every week. The open quiz you have unlimited attempts for it to get 100. The times quiz, you have two attempts at taking. The class is a very easy A. Also, you don't have to use honor lock for any of the quizzes.
I absolutely loved Radha Bose! If you have the chance to take her, DO IT. She creates lecture videos and posts them in advance for you to work through the content at your own pace. She is very caring and responsive to emails. Most importantly she wants you to pass!! I am ending the class with a 100%
Dr. Bose was a wonderful Professor who made statistics easy. If you have the option, take her class for sure
Dr. Bose was a wonderful Professor and she makes sure you undestand what is going on the lectures. She always post worksheets to go along with the lecture so you can get extra help. I highly recommend taking her.
Terrible teacher, she just repeats the same thing all class. This is the only teacher I know that can make such a simple concept seem complicated. It is impossible to focus in this class because all she does is repeat everything she says. I would have a better time just reading the textbook. If you are reading this... do better
Very nice teacher but if you have no previous stats experience this class can be very tough. I luckily came in with knowledge of stats so it was not that hard but professor Bose simply reads over notes rather than teaching you how to solve the problems. The workload was easy though (2 assignments a week).
Easiest math class I have taken. There are 2 quizzes per week. We have one open quiz (unlimited attempts) and a timed quiz (two attempts). The quizzes are online, and you can refer to the notes if you need to. Professor Bose explains things in the clearest way possible, making all the concepts easy to grasp. She is always willing to help if needed.
The grading criteria is very clear and straight forward. Overall the quizzes through which you are graded on are very easy, and you have multiple attempts to take them. Her filled-in notes can be a headache to read through, but once you get the gist of them and reading through them it is almost impossible to not get an A on her timed quizzes.
I feel that she is the best professor ever! All you really have to do for the class is print out the course paper and write notes on it in lecture! She explains everything very well and all she grades upon are quizzes. All I will say is pay attention to lectures to understand the material to pass the quizzes!
I haven't been to more than 3 classes the whole semester bc all she does is read over filled-in notes that are posted. You have 2 quizzes every week (online) one you have unlimited attempts on and the other you have 2 attempts. Overall easy class because you can teach it to yourself, she is not the best actual teacher of the material. Also no final
I think I went to 2 classes all semester. 2 quizzes (one unlimited attempts, the other 2 attempts) every week. Both are open-note, notes are on Canvas. Easy class, no stress as long as you take about an hour out of your week to do the quizzes. I never went to the recitation, attendance is not mandatory. No final, midterm is two attempts.
Never really showed up to lecture because all she did was read filled-in notes. Many times I had to teach myself the information. Quizzes were good because you get multiple attempts and no midterm/final.
super easy math class. every chapter/week you have 1 timed quiz and 1 open quiz. the open quizzes you get unlimited attempts and the timed quiz you get 2 attempts. nothing is on honorlock and no exams.
Easy A! Professor Bose gives you unlimited attempts on the open quizzes which are 25% of your grade. The timed quizzes which are 65% of your grade give you 2 attempts and they are also open notes online. I didnt understand her lecture style. I had to go to my TAs office hours for one on ones but if you understand the open quizzes youll do fine!
Most of the class is based on quiz grades. Half are open with unlimited attempts and the others have two attempts. If you do both and consult the notes posted on canvas you shouldn't have to stress at all.
personally not a fan of her teaching style, she just reads off filled in notes and doesn't really explain herself so i never bothered going to class. two quizzes for each chapter, one with unlimited attempts and one with 2, both open notes. no midterm or final. overall not the worst but definitely not my favorite
She's very sweet, but there's times where I can't understand her when she speaks. Grades are half open quizzes with unlimited retakes, and other is timed quizzes that you have one retake. Notes are pre written and she just reads off of them and have some unanswered questions that you can do on your own. Solid Choice overall.
Professor Bose was one of my favorite professors I've ever had! She is super sweet and wants all of her students to succeed. The class itself is not very hard and she helps so much. I definitely recommend taking this class with her.
LOVE HER! She is amazing. You go over the notes in class, which is not mandatory. There are open quizzes that are open note/help from others. There are also timed quizzes which you do alone but with your notes/by yourself. Everything is online and on canvas. Overall, fairly east class and I highly recommend this professor for statistics:)
You definitely need a statistics background to fully understand her lectures. She does have an accent, but it's not too difficult to understand her. Short lectures, very informative. She teaches based on paper packets with already typed out directions, and doesn't really show start-to-finish examples of problems. Very nice though
Grading system and expectations were simple. Just go the lectures or watch the videos and take notes and take your weekly open and timed quiz and you'll be good.
I suck at math, but Radha's class helped me get an A. Easy, open-note quizzes. Her notes are super informative. Lectures can seem boring, but I found them helpful. Plus, Radha was nice. Her accent isn't as bad as some people say. 10/10, would recommend.
she was the nicest professor ever! you can tell she cares about her students. TAs send reminders about exams and quizzes. everything is open note. lectures can be boring but easy to understand if you follow along and take notes. quiz and exam extensions are pretty much always guaranteed if you ask. this class was an easy A. take her class if u can!
Super nice professor, but I did not learn a thing in this class. All of her quizzes are online and you can use your notes, and half the quizzes you get multiple attempts. I spent 2-3 hours on this class per week, which is nice - sometimes you need an easier class. However, lectures/notes are all over the place and I ended up just teaching myself.
I never showed up for the class & used Chegg for the class. Her lectures are pretty boring and she doesn't have a target packet so it's hard to keep up. Its an easy class and she's very understanding.
She is a great professor because she truly wants everyone to get an A
Professor Bose posts fill in the blank type notes online and you are expected to take notes during the lecture. Each week, we have optional homework that prepares up for our weekly quizzes. There is no final for this class. As long as you pay attention, and ask for help (if needed), then this class should be a breeze.
Lots of quizzes and tests but she is extremely caring and lenient. You get two chances at each, and she makes them very manageable. I only went to the first class and I was able to do great with no previous stats knowledge.
Professor Bose is a great Professor, however, most of the time she moves fast in her lectures, and the filled-in notes she posts after class make no sense because they are so messy. Additionally, her TAs (at least mine) are horrible.
Only assignments are a quiz every week and attendance for recitation. The quiz is open note and two attempts. Recitation is easy just show up and work and you get full points. 3 recitation grades are dropped and 2 can be made up in office hours. In lecture she goes over the notes, but does go a little fast. Easy class would definitely recommend.
The grade is calculated by your quiz grades (1 each week on the prior week's material) and your recitation attendance. All quizzes have 2 attempts and you can miss up to 2 or 3 (can't remember) recitations without it hurting your grade. Super easy class and pretty stress free.
There is a weekly quiz that is online and open notes with two attempts with extensions if you need them. Extremely flexible class but I still learned a lot. I would take any other stat class with Bose if I had to. No final exam either, and the quizzes aren't cumulative.
I never went to class and got an A in the class. mandatory recitation where you do the HW. HW is a lot like the weekly quiz. No exams just weekly open book quizzes, 2 attempts, no time limit. going to class is kinda a waste of time but she's good and nice. drop your 2 missed recitation grades, no quizzes are dropped. take her!
Radha Bose is an angel. She is so sweet and seriously cares about every student. If you have to take statistics please take it with her. Attendance for 2122 only mandatory for Friday recitation classes but MW lecture is not.
One online quiz a week and they were super easy! Attendance in class is not mandatory, but recitation once a week is. Super easy class and the teacher is super nice and understanding as well, 10/10 recommend.
She is extremely kind and patient, and always willing to help you succeed! Honestly, I just have to emphasize using the resources she gives you and making the most of any opportunities to ask for clarifications on things with the TA's. I'd love to take a class of hers again!
Easy Easy class. I never went to class I only went to the mandatory recitations and passed the class with an A. Your entire grade is based on attending recitation and weekly quizzes. As long as you go over the notes and attend recitation you will be fine. Definetely recommend.
Only online quizzes for everything including the final. Two attempts on all of them. I went to class for about the first month or two but then realized I didn't have to. I never attended class and just used the uploaded notes to complete all the quizzes. Using this method was a little difficult but I managed to get 100s on everything so whatever.
Everything is open note (she posts her own) so it's just pattern recognition on the notes vs the quiz. Plus you get two attempt. If you need to fr know statistics, maybe avoid... but if you just need a stats credit, definitely go for this class Only complaint is that she hides the grades on canvas which sucks but you can calculate it yourself tbh
I went to 1/2 a class and got an A. If you need to actually learn it I heard she is a great teacher in class.
Prof. Bose is great for anyone who needs to take stats but is bad at math. Weekly quizzes are online and open note with 2 tries. No midterm or final. Lecture is helpful if you need it, I quit going after spring break. Recitation is an easy A so long as you attend, ask a few questions, and don't miss more than three times. Sweet lady, great TAs!
There is one quiz every week and it is open note. I never went to class and I got a 95 in the class. As long as you do the quizzes and go to the recitations you should be fine
This is the easiest class I have taken at FSU. You do not have to come to class, and the tests are all open-note with two attempts at home on Canvas. There is no other stats teacher anyone should choose over Professor Bose.
Bose was a very caring professor, I found the lectures to be generally helpful but most all the quizzes could be completed with the lecture notes and homework alone so going to class becomes less helpful as the semester continues. No final, no cumulative exams, the grade is made up of recitation attendance and quiz grades.
sweet lady, class is not mandatory during the week, only recitation on Fridays and its SUPER chill. final grade is one quiz a week (tends to be hard... but ok?), recitation mandatory attendance, and an LSQA halfway through the semester (easy). such a good class for non-math/stem majors to get the math credit out of the way!!!!
10/10 would recommend this class. During lectures, she goes over each section with fill-in notes. In addition to attending lectures, you have to attend your discussion with your TA during this time you can ask for help and work on the practice worksheet.
I 1000% recommend professor Bose to anyone taking this class. She is caring and funny while her lectures are clear and engaging. Her notes are available online if you miss class and practice questions during recitation. Weekly quizzes and you get two tries each.
I 100% recommend Professor Radha Bose for Statistics. She is such a funny and caring professor and has a high level of respect for her students. The only grades are quizzes and they are basically the same thing as the notes and worksheets problems. Lectures are not mandatory, but they help with understanding the notes.
Professor Bose is such a kind and funny person. Grades are weekly 2 attempt open note quizzes which are just like the content in class + recitation attendance. The content gets a little difficult towards the end of the semester, but it's hard to mess up when it's open note. Bose is a good lecturer, but her notes get a bit hard to follow sometimes.
Radha is a wonderful professor and goes through everything very clearly. She is extremely caring and dedicated to her students. She is always willing to open a missed quiz. She posts all of her notes online and is very organized. Notes may be a bit hard to follow if you didn't attend the lectures, and two tries are allowed on open-note quizzes.
Radha is very sweet and caring! She cracks jokes sometimes and I think she's awesome and understands the material well :) Weekly quizzes with only 2 attempts each, but the questions are similar to what's practiced in the notes. Recitation is mandatory and is graded.
Proffesor Bose was super cool! She often cracks jokes during class and walks you through the material very thoroughly. No final exam; grades were based on quizzes, lsqa, and recitation attendance. If you practice the material and become familiar with your calculator you will do great!
the online class has no final exam, and is just quizzes every week! they're all on Chegg and you get 2 attempts. Def take her if you need stats
I loved having Prof. Bose. Her class was really easy. Attendance was not mandatory other than the recitations once a week. She was really sweet if you needed help. All quizzes were online with no honorlock and there were around 1 a week.
Class is very easy to pass, attendance is not mandatory except for recitations. She puts notes in Canvas to use on the online quizzes. However, she is not a good lecturer and it can be hard to understand her even if you sit in the front. Take if you want to take an easy class credit but not if you want to understand the information.
Lectures aren't mandatory and only grades are once a week recitation which is essentially an attendance grade and weekly quizzes which are online 2 attempts and you can see what you get wrong. Posts all the lecture notes online, should be an easy A!
Radha Bose is a great and super sweet professor! Attendance for lectures isn't mandatory, but it is for discussions. There is one quiz per week with two attempts, and they're open note. There was no homework other than the quiz. She posts all her notes on Canvas. The TAs are also so chill. It's a super easy stats credit and a good GPA booster!
Professor Bose is really sweet and enjoys her job. Attendance is not mandatory but discussions are. There are tests every week and they are open notes. The TA is helpful if you ask for help and very chill. If you can not make it to class the notes are uploaded on Canvas. Well highly recommend this class.
This class is incredibly easy. 12 online quizzes that you can take twice and you only have to go the recitations once per week. The problem with this though, is that since the class is so free, it's easy to fly by without actually learning the subject. Also, her notes have extremely bad handwriting. This is a GPA booster class for sure.
Easy class. Clear and simple - we had an (open note) quiz every week or so and no final. The quizzes always reflected what was covered in lecture which made preparing not stressful at all. Attendance wasn't mandatory, but Bose is very sweet and passionate about the subject matter.
Easy class with minimal effort required - just do the weekly online quizzes (2 attempts allowed) and attend the mandatory recitations. Although the lectures can be unclear, the notes posted online are helpful. unstuckstudy ai was a great study tool alongside the class materials.
She is so sweet and genuinely cares about her students and the subject matter. Attendance is not mandatory and all of the notes are posted online. Open note online quiz about every week with examples just like the problems. I highly recommend taking this class with her.
