A lot of rhetoric and very dull - much like any other computer course.
This man is the devil. You may think that I am exaggerating but believe me I am not. My class worked hard all semester. At the end we were astonished at grades. The final and quiz grades were rediculous. Many people were dropped 2 letter grades.
Yes, he was helpful throughout most the semester with questions and problems. You can ask him questions and he will help you. However, you have to make appointments to see him and you have to find out his hours and stuff through his WEBCT cause if you ask
Loved the course. Helped in making sure understood content. During tests, problem with questions where answers could have multiple solutions, benefit given to student if student to show valid reason for answer. Would definitely recommend.

HARD HARD HARD do not recommend, hard to understand, says dumb things, tests are murder, not helpful what so ever
Very good professor, very willing to help if you ask. One of the easiest A's
Great.
Mr Ali is a great professor. He is very patient and supportive. He takes the time to teach and make sure that everybody understands the subject before he goes on with other things. He is also very polite.
Mr. Ali is very deticated and seems to care about the students in the class. No tests, but lots of projects and long, drawn-out, somewhat useless case studies. But as an instructor Mr. Ali is a good guy.
First off, do not take this class if you dont want to do work...there is an assignment due everyweek. Generally the work is easy but some of it can get a bit tricky and he is ANAL about grammer and spelling and he will seriously knock your grade for any mistakes....not recommended.

I took this class online last summer and while it was demanding, I feel like I learned a lot. Mr. Ali's online demonstrations are very clear and he is really helpful through email as well. At midterm he lessened our work load b/c we said that we were overwhelmed. If you work hard, you’ll get an A. Great teacher!
Mr Ali Rocks! At first the class seems hard and like alot of work but once you get into it then its really not. He is very flexible when it comes to office hours. One of the best in my book
a lot of work but it is pretty easy, mid term is very hard. No opportunity for extra credit.
Very helpful, energetic, and professional. Takes all the time you need...workload is a little heavy but it is not hard work. Group project at the end requires a little extra time, but what class doesen't. Highly recommended. Plan on taking next class with him.
I took his online class...midterm and final are very hard. I didn't study for either one and still made 70's on them though. Weekly assignments are very easy, got 100's on all of them. Class was boring but had to take it for getting into the business school. Overall, I made an A in the class and wouldn't run from taking Dr. Ali again.
I took it online. It was way toooo much course load for a single class, if you're taking other classes. Some of the tasks don't seem relevant. He would ask students do something, that he doesn't do himself, for example - use proper grammar. Midterm and final exams very hard. Otherwise, if you dedicate all your time to this class you can get an A.
This teacher was horrible. He asks students to use correct grammar, and he didn't. This was an online class, and the only way to get in contact with him was through e-mail, and he responds a few days AFTER you need his help. The Excel assignment was WAY too much work which was not explained well. His communication is lacking and seems uncaring.
Professor not recommended. Does not grade on time, syllabus grading is out of whack. He grades you based on something else. His instructions are hard to follow and he requires too much. His weekly discussions are solely based on the number of times and not the quality of your posts. He also tells you to use correct grammar while his grammar sucks.
Dr. Ali was extremely helpful and generraly post video demonstrations of what you are supposed to be doing for the assignments. Quizes are not required but are useful for the test. I took the online class and there is a weekly discussion you have to participate in and other than that just assignments and a group project.
Ali Rocks! You can't hate a man that brings candy for every class. Course is straight forward no suprises. Make sure you choose members wisely for the group project.
Quality teacher
His tests and assignments are hard. But he seems to really care and be a nice person. But alot is expected. Took him online twice.
I received a B in his online class during the Fall 07 semester. His instructions, communication, and comprehension skills are absolutely horrible. His grading is absolutely ridiculous and he cannot justify why you receive the grade. We had 60 students who started the semester and ended up with only 35 at the end of the semester.
He is soo hard. Over works his students and does not explain. Retook the class and got an "a". Made me realize I was not dumb he just gave his students way to much work with no teachings.
Dr. Ali is a very nice gentleman. I beleive that he truly enjoys what he does. I would not recommend taking this class if you dont have any experiece with Microsoft Access. The book for this class isnt very helpful.
Had him for summer online - had to withdrawl due to personal reasons. Was in the class for about 4 wks - do not take him if you're not ready to be spending ALL of your free time doing work for this class.
Dr Ali is inconsiderate towards his students. With finals and a project to complete, he still gives a discussion on the ENTIRE book. His assignments and discussions are ridiculous and irrelevant. I would not recommend him for an online course. Does not return grades on time. ABSOLUTELY AWFUL ONLINE PROFESSOR. Hated the class.
Very slow in getting assignments and tests graded. However, is very good at returning emails and offering help. You'll be better served just doing things "his way". He admits that the textbooks are not of much help and that you'll need to get your own reference guides, etc.
Ali is the greatest professor! Makes class fun and entertaining. Loves his students and will give you all the help needed to get the best grade possible! I suggest taking him!!!!
Dr. Ali is an extremely nice guy. He is willing to help you with any problems. He does keep you busy in the class with the quizzes, papers, and projects. He doesn't really focus to much on the book but a lot of test material comes from the book and quizzes.
Clear instructions for assignments. TONS of work - an obscene amount of work, but I took him online - apparently his in-class class is much better.
I would NOT recommend his online class to anyone. TONS of work - he admits his online class is much harder. 2 Discussion postings due on Wednesdays, 3 responses to others discussion posting due Fridays, Tests, Projects, 2 Case reports, 2 Excel Projects. Perfect class for people without a life, but if you work or have other classes, forget about it.
Great Teacher! Very helpful and really wants his students to do well. I took this class on-line and although it was a TON of work, I learned a lot! Be prepared for weekly discussions with 4 posts total and 4 big assignments....he's one of my favorites so far!
DONT DO IT! HE'S WHACK! too meticulous when grading discussions and case studies. 2nd yr at KSU, never made less than a B. My case studies & discussions were well written and exhibited evidence of original thought. he gave me a C for both. He does not clearly define what he's looking for and punishes u severly for not giving the answer he wants.
took him online bism 3100... 1. he took too long to grade assignments. 2. will drop you a whole letter grade on case studies and excel assignments for not giving the answer he wants, even if you have evidence to back up your point. 3. no xtra crdt/no makeup for anything. If you have a life outside of school, TRUST ME, DO NOT TAKE HIS CLASS!!!!!
Ugh, please do not take this professor! He takes forever to grade assignments and he is very specific in what he wants. If you don't word an answer exactly how he wants it then he counts off (even though the answer is correct!). EXTREMELY thorough grader. Even though I made an A I had to work very hard. Took his online course.
Dr. Ali is unclear in instructions. Has grading rubric and does not follow it. Won't work w/ you. Approved our idea for term project-then took 25 pts off-said didn't meet requirements.Report was correct per text-25 pts gone for "used enter key for page breaks. We met every specified criteria ,got a 75. DO NOT take class with this professor!
Great easy class just do the assignments and you will get about or even a perfect grade.
I am currently taking BISM 2100 from Dr. Ali and he is very helpful and willing to work with his students. I like his class so much that I am going to take him for BISM 3200. Regardless, of what the other critics had to say, Dr. Ali is a very helpful professor.
DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS! This professor is so unclear about his expectations, doesnt understand the questions posted by students, and gives you assignments with hardly anything to go off of. HORRIBLE!
Great teacher ! Very knowledgeable of the course. Online quizzes for each chapter ( you get multiple attempts on) , in class midterm and final, group project not too hard very open to suggestions. Attend class, do well on the assignments, study for tests.
Took online-reqd in-class mid-term and final. Dr Ali is very nice in person but very specific, harsh and inconsistent in grading. Not flexible for online class, posts assignment on Monday with discussion posts due Wed including 2 cited sources, response posts due Thurs, and Fri. Assignments not what was expected of IS class.
Took online. In class midterm and final that are pretty difficult but several other assignments throughout the semester help your grade. Grades pretty hard on the 2 case reports. Easy excel and access assignment. The group project wasn't difficult but he didn't give much to go off of. He's a really nice person and wants you to do well in his class
Excellent teacher! HIGHLY RECOMMEND! REALLY CARES ABOUT HIS STUDENTS! EXTREMELY HELPFUL! HE ABSOLUTELY UNDERSTANDS HOW TO APPLY LECTURE TO REAL BUSINESS AND IT WORLD! JUST MAKE SURE YOU ATTEND CLASS. HE LIKES WHEN YOU ATTEND!
Dont miss an assignment because you will not be able to make it up! He grades hard and is a nice guy but is not going to be mushy gushy. The project at the end is a lot of work! There are probably better choices but over all not terrible.
I took Dr. Ali's IS2100 class over the summer and could not have asked for a better professor. We had an issue with obtaining the correct book at first, but I think people made the issue bigger than it needed to be. EASY A! Just watch his tutorial videos for the assignments and do well on the tests.
Took the online class. Very work-heavy class. Quizzes each week, discussion post each week, and special projects/excel spreadsheet thrown in there. 2 tests are IN CLASS on SATURDAYS! Very nice guy, and grades very leniently though. Tests and quizzes are nothing like the book or what is taught in the class. Would not recommend.
I took this course online with Dr. Ali. There were 5 projects including 1 group one. The most time consuming was the excel, do not wait to start this at the last minute! He posts tutorial videos that are helpful for the projects. Midterm/ final exactly like chapter quizzes! Weekly discussions. Overall not a hard class at all, made an A! Take him!
I did the study abroad program to Dubai with Dr. Ali for IS3100. He is my favorite professor by far! Such an awesome, funny guy. Very knowledgeable. It was more work than I anticipated but it was all worth it since I learned so much about business practices and culture in the Middle-East. I wish Dr. Ali taught more classes that I need!
Dr.Ali is one of my best professors I've ever had at KSU. He is very helpful and he is ready to answer all of your questions. The only bad thing about him is that he grades harshly. So if you want an easy A then don't take this class! But he really cares about his students! A very nice guy, in general.
Great Professor! He lets you know exactly what is expected out of every assignment and answers questions quickly. Definitely take him for IS 2200 online... easy A as long as you do the work! The group project at the end was the only bad part, but that is because some people are lazy. Not his fault.
Not a good professor at all. Doesn't answer questions quickly and when he does, its not clear. He counts off on the group project for stupid reasons which are not stated in guide. Weekly discussions are hard when group members don't post but your grade suffers.
Dr. Ali is a nice person overall, but honestly, an awful professor. I still do not have any idea what I am making in the class because his grading system is so confusing. He takes a long time to post grades and an even longer time to email you back to dispute his unreasonably harsh grading. I do not recommend taking him.
The textbooks are only needed for the exam and discussion questions. Cengage isn't a must. Some of his directions aren't clear, possible language barrier. Responds quickly to emails/post. Read directions carefully and DO NOT MISS ASSIGNMENTS! Exam q's are from Cengage. Grades quickly. Overall a good professor, easy A/B if you work diligently.
First time I've ever had to drop a class. Just a bad professor all around unclear with the highest work load I've ever seen in a class. Has weekly quizzes, reading and a project about every other week (not exaggerating) not to mention the discussion assignments that i firmly believe he doesn't read a word of. 210 would not take
Dr. Ali's online class is not bad at all! He is very good about responding to questions in a timely manner. He even gave our class extra credit points on our Excel assignment just because! If you turn in all your assignments and keep up with the weekly discussion posts you will be fine! Easy A!
Hard to get him to reply to emails which is strange considering he teaches an online class you think that would be the one thing he would be good at. Which wouldn't be that bad but his directions for assignments are so ambiguous you'll have to email him for with questions at least once. Would not take again
Teacher intentionally leaves information out of his instructionsdirections. Made an A in the class, but he is not very helpful at all. I made an A, but probably will not take him again unless I have no choice.
Online 2200 & 3100--Moderate to easy As. Follow his grading rubrics that are given; he grades exactly as stated. If you don't have all required parts, of course you will lose points. He makes directions for projects ambiguous on purpose, which can be frustrating, but he wants you to ask questions--so ASK QUESTIONS! Very nice-will help when asked!
Great Teacher! He was always willing to help me out. Sometimes he was unclear in some of his instructions, but he responded to emails quickly and answered any questions I had. I think thats part of his method of teaching ... getting you to actively engage in the class. Stay on top of your assignments and you'll do fine
For an online class, Ali tries to make it as painless as possible. Weekly discussion posts and small assignments that if you follow the guidelines you will make As. Only a midterm, final and a group project. Nothing too challenging, have to put forth some effort to achieve an A though. Always willing to help & responds to emails quickly. Sweet man.
Purposely does not give all required information on assignments. Expects you to ask what is expected otherwise, you will have missing components. Easy assignments with easy grading. Made us fill out the course evaluation before the final exam and group project was due. Graded very leniently all semester then VERY harshly on group project.
Beware! Requires 24X7 daily monitoring of 13+ discussion boards to decipher course requirements, assignments & deadlines. KSU textbook accessible only online, a cobbled together version of misc. chapters from 2 different books, is poorly synchronized to the required assignment documentation. Nice use of videos, otherwise a fairly dismal experience.
He has a language barrier. Not a lot of work bc he does videos showing you step by step what he wants. Gave midterm online got a 100. If you absolutely dont know what to do, call him but dont say MHM, he will yell at you! Only bad thing about him is his clarity, other than that easy class ONLINE
This is by far the worst professor I've ever had, he never made anything clear, you have to pry information out of him just for him to give you the bare minimum, and he doesn't update you on when assignments are due so you have to keep checking for specific due dates. I would not recommend this class.
If you like professors who instead of answering your simple questions that can easily be responded to in a sentence or less give you the run around, take him. "You can find that answer in the discussion post on August 17th in the 3rd post and the 7th comment on that post.." The group project sucks, and all around unclear instructions constantly.
His assignments are easy to do, however he grades ridiculously. He'll mark off for random things that were NEVER said to be required on the papers. There are time consuming discussion posts every two weeks or so. This is a "100%" online class but he'll attempt to make you take your test IN CLASS. This class is more stressful than it needs to be.
Took Ali for both IS2200 and 3100 (both online) - both classes were easy A's. Yes, he does intentionally leave out information, but his classes are so easy that I really can't complain about that. Just pay close attention to his instructions, because he is a strict grader.
Easy enough A if you put in the effort, but his grading patterns are extremely inconsistent. Also makes a ton of grading errors so make sure you catch those. He grades the final group project like it's a term paper so make sure you go over his guidelines as deeply as possible.
Assignment documents flat out do not ask you for what he wants. He does not meaningfully explain what he wants when asked. Assignments are irrelevant to the course curriculum (more appropriate for accounting). The biggest irony is that for a course 50% devoted to "business communication" he doesn't even write proper sentences.
Don't let the reviews below scare you. I took from Dr. Ali in spite of the feedback and don't regret it. Grading criteria for assignments can be a little confusing. Just ask plenty of Qs on the discussion board and make sure you incorporate his answers in your project and you'll be fine. It really isn't that bad. Also, one of the nicest profs ever!
HE IS A HORRIBLE TEACHER I didn't learn anything from him. He would start going over each chapter and then we would start having pointless discussions. And we have quizzes on each chapter. As far as I know everyone uses quizlet for those quizzes to pass. He's unclear about the assignments and our grades suffer because of that. STAY AWAY
AWESOME PROFESSOR! Despite all previous reviews, if you work on his assignments in the way he asks, EASY A! Students below must have not gotten a good grade because he has been one of my favorite professors so far!
Currently taking him and I must say he's not a good teacher at all. He's a tough grader but doesn't go over any of the material or assignments. So you don't know what he wants from you until he grades your assignments. He responds to your email only when he feels like it. Overall, a really bad professor that shouldn't be teaching.
Very tough grader. The assignments themselves are not very complicated, but he looks for small details that he can count off for. Does not offer the full instructions, but requires you to ask questions in the discussion board to even get some of the things he is looking for in the assignment. Lacks heavily on his communication skills
ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE. You will regret taking him. Assignments are fairly easy but you will not get the grade you deserve. Even if you follow the rubric he finds stuff to count off for. You will never get an A on an assignment, it is like its against his morals. Dont even try to ask questions or express concerns about your grade, he doesnt care.
STEER CLEAR! He intentionally gives vague instructions for assignments so that students will ask questions, however, he rarely ever answers questions clearly. The worst part is that he'll then deducts points for "not following directions." Luckily I passed this course with an A, but tons of guesswork was involved.
Dr. Ali is not your usual professor he wants you to learn things that would REALLY help you later I life. The work is not hard, it's challenging and if you ask questions, follow the directions and respect his feedback you will get so much out of it.
I took this class online and was able to find the answers to all the tests and quizzes in my notes or online. There are weekly discussions and a huge group project at the end. Luckily I was paired with a good group and we got our project done. He is not good on directions so make sure you ask a lot of questions.
A lot of people don't like this professor because he requires you to work for your grade, but you should take him. You will learn so many things from this class. I have learned more in this class than any other class at KSU that will help me later in life. TAKE HIM!
Dr. Ali is the most confusing prof I've ever had. I did make an A in his class somehow but I had to work my butt off for it. His instructions are never clear and he answers questions vaguely so you still won't know what you're doing. I took this as an online class and still got stuck in a group project that took hours to do. Hardest earned A ever!!
I don't recommend taking his online. He preaches communication yet is below average at doing so, and considering the class is online I would say it's imperative to be as concise as possible. I spent more time trying to figure out instructions and grading criteria than I did actually trying to retain the material. Glad I'm through with this class.
Just avoid Radwan. He makes this class far more difficult than it should be, primarily regarding the group project. In grading that project, he is hypercritical and it will affect your final grade. Other than that, the class is not interesting whatsoever. Find a better professor for IS2200.
This is easily the worst class I have ever taken, strictly because of the professor. Throughout the entire semester, all assignment instructions have been vague, only to be met with harsh grading. Several students asked for clarification on assignments, his motto is "I provide vague instructions to see what you are capable of". DO NOT TAKE WITH HIM
Dr. Ali is the worst educator I have ever had the experience of dealing with. He's overly critical, vague in his instructions, and just plain rude to his students. I spent more time on this class than I did in all my other classes combined. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!
The worst professor I've ever had. It genuinely upsets me that my education that I work hard and pay for is represented by people like him. He DOES NOT want to see you succeed, he provides little detail for each assignment, counts you off for pointless things and then won't tell you what you did wrong. Poor excuse of a teacher and just plain mean.
Worst professor I've had so far at Kennesaw. His instructions on assignments are vague on purpose, so you have to ask questions on the discussion board yourself. He deducts points on very pointless things and is really unresponsive when you ask what you could have improved on. AVOID IF YOU CAN
Horrible, do not take him unless you have to. He makes a general ed class so difficult to pass our class average was less than 75 on test. Hes not clear and treats this class like a masters course. Offers no extra credit and test are had. His quizzes that you should study from have the wrong answers and he has not fixed that.
HARD. he is so unclear. he is so mean when you try to talk to him and ask questions. he will literally go "try again". so much work for no reason. he just needs to explain assignments better. give more clear instructions. i guess actually teach.
I do not recommend him at all take anyone else if you can. His assignments directions in general are very unclear and his very vague if you ask him to explain the instructions on a college level not masters degree level. He does not offer extra credit or make up assignments. Also there is a group project heavily weighted. Good luck
This class has tons of projects. The instructions he gives are very vague and leaves unsure of what you are actually suppose to do on most of them. He had a Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, website, and group project. The projects combined are 54 % of your grade. The final and midterm were only 30 % combined.
Took his class online for summer. He won't hold your hand but will work with you if you put in effort. I really enjoyed being creative with the HTML website assignment. He also assigned discussion postings, quizzes, a group project, and exams. Nice intro class for those majoring in computer and information science.
hard grader and has projects that have that aren't related to the class. Do not take!!
I would not recommend this teacher. He would purposefully not give all the directions just so u could ask him. There are a few group projects and if your group members don't help he doesn't care. I was one one point away from a letter grade and he did not bump me. also if u miss one part of an assignment he will fail you and won't let u re due it
I had technical issues with the 100 question final resulting in not all my answers being saved so I got a 15. I have to appeal the grade in the course and the professor has failed to reply to me to fix the situation since I lasted emailed him on December 15, its january 8th today. The final group project is peer graded. Whos idiot idea was that
There is either a discussion post or assignment due each week. They weren't terrible, he just doesn't do a good job of explaining them. The worst thing is the group project at the end. He grades it very hard and it is worth a lot. Midterm and Final. Not the worst class but he could make it easier if the instructions were more clear.
Some assignments he gives very clear instructions and good feedback, other assignments he is very vague. In my case, he over-explained how to use Microsoft powerpoint, but way under-explained Microsoft excel and Databases. He will try to help you out and explain if you ask him questions, I just paid for a class to make sense from the start.
2 tests, 6 disc, 6 assignments ,1 group proj. The work was average, grading made no sense. He would take off points saying your assignment was "missing something" when your assignment clearly had whatever was "missing". Felt really difficult to get an A as he made an effort to find a reason to deduct points. Group Proj was graded harshly as well.
This man grades ridiculously hard! Dont recommend. Youll be confused and youll put in a lot of effort just to get a C. Good luck
Do not touch this man with a 10ft pole. Absolutely the worst professor I have ever taken. Grades are unnecessarily harsh. He wastes class time so nothing ever gets done. Every other student in the class agrees, this is the worst option you can take. Rubrics are so vague and he then ends grading on things that weren't originally included. BEWARE
Honestly all those other reviews do not give him justice. The man is so nice and caring, and is willing to help you if you show any effort. The assignments are not hard, but DON"T wait until the last minute to start or you will fail them. I went to his office a few times and he was always willing to help, never failed any assignment. High recommend
I do not believe this professor should be allowed to be a teacher. He was never specific on his rubrics because he just expected you to know what he wants, he counts off points for things you didn't say, and after my entire class went to him complaining that we all failed for something that wasnt on the rubric, he said we didnt deserve the points.
The other reviews do not give Professor Ali the credit he deserves. I took his class online and while I had to work for my grade he was always available to help and answer questions. He posts additional instructions to the discussion board but it is the student's responsibility to read everything. I learned a ton from this course!
Professor Ali was a nightmare. Rudest professor ive encountered. Could never be pleased. Graded wrong multiple times (counting points off for things i never said). Belittled students. DONT TAKE HIM.
If you go to class or attend online and participate he notices and it makes the class easier and more enjoyable. He is very knowledgeable in IS but understands most students aren't IS majors and just wants students to understand the material not master it. One midterm, one final, group project, and excel/Microsoft access projects and that's all.
The only hard part of this class is his tests. One midterm and one final. You do not know what to expect on his tests so you have to read the textbook. Make sure to get the exact book edition as well. He tells you the edition does not matter, but it does. His tests are lockdown browser, if you are not a good test taker, I would not recommend him.
I took him and I loved the class. All the assignments are easy but do take time so dont wait to start. Make sure to buy whatever book edition he tells you, even though he says any works (they do not have all the assignments). The tests were the hardest things (2) I failed both but still got an A. I highly recommend if you actually want to learn.
In this class there are two tests, the midterm and the final. I can say confidently that only 5-10% of what he says in class is even related to the material on the test. The textbook helps to understand concepts but even then the tests will ask questions that make you apply these concepts and the professor does not teach you how to apply anything.
No communication, unclear assignments and rubrics, vague in responses, and short/rude in emails. I would not recommend his class. Not sure if the people giving him high ratings had the same professor because this was my worst experience at Kennesaw. I never missed an assignment and worked hard. I wish I could type more, so much to say. BRUTAL.
He is one of the absolute worst when it comes to caring about students success. Majority of my class have been left confused, misinformed and ignored when we needed help with his tasks. He is a careless teacher and if you care about your mental health and grade I advise you to stay away. This is the nicest feedback I can possibly give about him.
DO NOT TAKE HIM. he refuses to help his students with assignments and won't answer any questions unless it's posted on the Discussion Board. very condescending. assignments are difficult and instructions arent clear. going to class doesn't help because he won't answer questions about assignments. doesn't look at averages so don't count on a curve
I took Dr. Ali this past semester and he has been the worst professor I have had at KSU so far. Going to class does not matter as he does not teach anything, instead opting to show clips from comedies. Incredibly vague on every assignment in the class, and creates more confusion when answering questions. Very difficult exams, and a paper. Avoid.
Worst professor ever. You ask him to clarify the assignments and gets mad instead of helping us understand.
Posts very unclear instructions to follow, then grades people very harshly even though he posted terrible instructions. Never ask questions because he does not answer them. Professor has some kind of grudge against students passing his class. If you want to maintain a good GPA then pass on this ridiculous professor.
Ali is one of the worst professor I have had the displeasure of taking. Instructions on all assignments are unclear and there is ONLY busy work for his class. Roughly 20 percent of your grade depends on a group assignment that he grades as though it were a doctoral thesis and gives little to no direction on. Avoid like the plague.
Everything you need is in the syllabus and on D2L. Show up for class and you'll be fine. He is extremely responsive to questions and concerns as long as you reach out through his clearly stated preferred method. It's not a hard class, just tedious at times. Truly wants his students to succeed. Tries his best to be relatable.
In the grand scheme of things it wasnt THAT hard but the unclear criteria and the fact ALL questions would have to go through discussions posts or else he wouldnt answer them, I would just find another professor. The grading is HARSH. You WILL fail if you wait until last minute due to all the technical difficulties the class experienced. Be warned.
Too many assignments, overlapping deadlines, discussions posts, and a group project with the scope of a thesis. I think Dr. Ali thinks assigning lots of homework make him a better a professor.
It's not that hard but there LOTS of online assignments, beware for them not to work if you have a MacBook!! Only communication is through discussion posts, not announcements. Really picky grader overall, especially for discussion posts and final project. I would recommend anyone else sadly.
I think he is completely oblivious to the fact that students work and have lives. He requires four discussion posts from each student every week. I understand when a professor wants to challenge you to learn, but this feels like busy work and shows a lack of respect for people's time.
Intern/experiential learning class. VERY strict grader! Assignments r literally just writing what you did for the week but somehow, he finds a reason to mark down pts. I feel bad for whoever took him for a regular class. Fortunately, the class is pass/fail. Weekly 5-question reflections. An intro, midterm, and final assignment, which r reflections
One of the worst professors I've had. Grading is inconsistent and extremely harsh. No clear feedback. Felt like guessing every week. This is an internship class, not a research paper. The professor made it harder than most of my major courses. Avoid if you can.
Extremely harsh grader, and super particular about the most random stuff. He posts announcements in the discussion post section in D2L for whatever reason, and wants you to only communicate with him in a very specific manner. No late submissions either so if you slip up that's it. You have to put in A+ effort for hopefully a B.
Don't take him unless it's your last choice. The other reviews are pretty accurate imo, but my biggest issue with him is how tough he is on grading while also being so vague with instructions. It's like he does it on purpose to force us to reach out to him for guidance. Every assignment feels like a guessing game and hoping you completed it enough
Awful. Harshest grader you can imagine and every assignment is a guessing game. Vague instructions vague communication. Please don't take this guy
This professor does not care about the well-being of his students. I've never written a review on here, but I feel like I had to. I've never had a professor who I felt genuinely did not care about me or my education. The absolute worst professor I have ever had, coming from someone who's attended 3 schools.
First time posting. Genuinely the worst professor I have had in college. Unorganized and impossible to work with. Will put grades in for assignments that aren't even due. Do not take.
Worst professor I have ever had. No matter how much effort you put into an assignment, he will find a way to deduct points. His McGraw-Hill assignments are due 5-6 at a time, and they take hours to complete. Whoever the other option is for this class, register with them.
Be warned: If you're looking to take this class to fill your electives, it won't be easy. The work isn't hard at all, but the professor was a headache to deal with. He will be the most miserable thing you would deal with, in any course. If you take any of his courses, I can GUARANTEE that he will be the worst professor of your collegiate career.
Nope, this isn't just some easy class that's a free 3 credits. He will make it as difficult as possible and try his best to add unnecessary stress to your life. Even if he's the only one who teaches the course, DON'T TAKE HIM. You're way better off doing a different business elective, rather than trying to decipher this guy's vague instructions.
He is the worst professor in my life. There is too much work to do, and he grades them very harshly. I am not taking this professor again, and I say everyone not to take him.
Terrible professor, terrible human. No respect for students or their time. The school gave him what should be a straight-forward course and he still managed to make it unbearable and complicated. You could send him an email one minute after he responds to you, and he'd still take at least 24 hours to get back. The Grinch of professors. AVOID!!
The worst professor I've ever had. Assignments look straightforward at first until you realize the instructions aren't even updated and there's secret criteria that nobody even knew about. Absurd amount of busy work some weeks, and some assignments aren't even accessible. He will find ANY reason to take as many points off as he can.
