This is by far the worst class I've ever taken in my entire college career (And I'm not a freshman). I can't express to you how disorganized, lazy, and just overall unhelpful this teacher really is. I got a decent grade and I'm saying this. Please for the love of God don't take this professor. The whole sem is just a group project wth no lectures.

This is absolutely by far the worst structured class at PC. Caloura gives no guidance and expects non majors to come into a intro class knowing how to put together a full marketing plan. The quizzes are challenging, and they are 10 questions covering a whole chapter (30-40 pages). Don't take this professor if you can help it.

The absolute worst professor I have had at PC. Her teaching style is contradictory and unclear. She is highly critical of her students and expects you to know the material without having taken a prior marketing class. Avoid her at all costs and expect to teach yourself everything regarding quizzes and the group project.

she seems nice at first but when you ask her for help she will just give you attitude, you have to read or else you will be completely lost in this class, she does not review any of the chapters in class, she tries to relate to you and tell you about her life but no one cares she does not teach you anything.

Worst teaching experience I have ever had in my life. Tests were on information never explained in class. Entire class was spent working on laptops on our project that was never explained clearly. Very rude to students. She has availability outside of class but no one wants to meet with her because of how rude and inconsiderate she is.

She should not have a job. Professor Caloura does not teach, instead she tells students to "look it up" whenever she's asked a question. She told us she was seeing a counselor about her teaching skills midway through semester. Changed our semester long project the day before it was due. More than half my friends in class failed the final, no curve.

Poorly organized semester long project with very little guidance. Midterm is fairly straightforward but the final exam is very difficult. No calculators allowed (a ridiculous policy). Expect to teach yourself all of the book work, as class time is largely devoted to the project. Overall, one of the worst professors I have had at PC

By far the worst professor at PC. So tough, no feelings for student's schedules, and probably the toughest class at PC. Pretty hard to get a B+ and if you want an easy class, don't take it. You're guaranteed a hard semester with absolutely no support. Midway through the semester and she makes me not want to pursue marketing anymore.

Worst course at PC and it isn't even close. Teacher has no lesson prepared for class and so class time is spent googling random things that do not apply to anything. The course is supposed to be "self-taught" yet we were never even told what to look at. The semester long project was messy and unorganized and had no instructions. Waste of time/money

Overall a bad professor. She does not allow calculators on tests which is very unnecessary and only hurts people's grades. She provides very poor guidance on the project which is a large percent of the grade. The weekly quizzes are fairly easy and she is not bad looking. I got a D+ in the class, though I feel I could've gotten up to a C+.

Worst professor I've ever had. Has no respect for students or their desire to learn. Extremely rude and makes you feel as if you know nothing. Also, constantly puts on a front when visitors are there to make people think she's okay. Would HIGHLY recommend staying away.

Rude and clueless, has no patience for normal student questions. Also admits that she's too busy going to Patriots games to answer emails and questions. Never in my life have I had a teacher who seemed so inept.

Terrible, absolutely terrible. She thinks that we should learn everything on our own so there really isn't much instruction. She expects you to be prepared for everything but makes it unclear what we need to prepare. If you need help but there's a Patriots game, don't expect to hear back from her.

She is by far my least favorite teacher here. You go to her for help, and she is nothing but rude and makes you feel bad for asking questions. The assignments are not clearly explained and you are confused most of the time. She tells you not to study something but then that is exactly what is on the test. Will yell at you for asking questions.

My worst professor I've had here. She makes every student in the class feel way too intimidated to participate in class because she gets mad when people don't say the right answer. When you go to her for help, she rarely gives any useful feedback. Lots of projects and hard exams

She is not a good teacher and often criticizes you for simply asking clarifying questions after class. Having over half of our semester online was actually better because she became more sympathetic. She responds to emails quickly, but rarely gives clear/ helpful answers. Prepare for the YEC assignments, they often take hours to complete.

Rae Caloura is not fit to be a professor. She teaches nothing, expects literal perfection, and get's extremely mad at students who ask questions. Over half of your grade is dependent on a long-winded and pointless group of assignments that consume 100+ hours of work outside the classroom. She is the reason i dropped MKT as a minor, it was that bad.

Prof. Caloura puts on an act that she loves her students and wants to help them, but the second you ask a question, she shuts you down and tells you to figure it out on your own. Doesn't understand students have other classes/work and there is no clear guidelines for what she expects & you dont know most of your grades until the end of the semester

Rae Caloura is the WORST professor at Providence College. Avoid taking her class AT ALL COSTS. I am not one to come on and write reviews about professors good or bad but students need to know the extent of my hatred for her. I am a good hardworking student but her standards are absurd this class is a living hell, do not take.

Rae is self-assured, ignorant, and uptight. Not a difficult class by any means, and I went on to have to deal with her over my remaining years at PC. It's a constant show of one-upsmanship as she can't physically tolerate being wrong or she explodes. One of several profs weighing down the program.

Caloura is one of the worst professors. She is extremely unclear about what is going on in class, due dates, and other important details. Always says she cares about her students and wants them to do well but it is not reflected in her actions. This class was the worst and my friends and I couldn't stand Rae. This class ruined marketing for me.

It's the way that 90% of our grade is based on a project that had no guidelines, unclear instructions, and no feedback given or offered to give by Caloura. It's almost like it's Professor Caloura's job to steer students' out of the marketing major. Caloura at some point should read these reviews to grow personally & professionally. Disappointed.

Professor Caloura is terrible. She lies and makes all of her students think she cares about them and their success in the class. That is far from the truth. So unfair. When you work hard you still fail. Only grade you on one assignment. Insanely ridiculous. So unfair.

Throughout the semester we did not receive any grades, so we had no idea how we were doing or what we needed to improve on. We were only graded via peer feedback up until the end of the course, and 90% of our grade was determined by one, semester long assignment. You basically have to teach all the material to yourself. This class is a struggle.

Professor Caloura bases your grade off of one project you work on throughout the semester. She NEVER provides feedback and you are forced to learn and understand the materials on your own. If I could rate her class a 0, I would.

Not really sure how this class is classified as marketing. Felt more like the teacher wanted to be a career coach but ended up in the wrong classroom. most material is unrelated to marketing, and the parts that are related to marketing have barely any weight towards your grade. Professor Caulora should not be a professor of marketing, she should be a professor of career planning because that is all you talk about in this class. I learned nothing about Marketing. A train wreck of a class. You are graded on a semester-long assignment that is worth 75% of your grade. No rubric was provided until after the midterm. The rubric and her personal instructions are contradictory and extremely unclear. She expects you to understand an assignment that I don't think she understands herself. Chaos and confusion.

If I took this class without knowing what subject it was, by the end of the year I still wouldn't know. Horrendous teacher, gave 0 feedback whatsoever on a semester long assignment worth 75% of your grade that had nothing to do with marketing. One week from finals and I only have had one assignment from the first week of school graded. She is a joke avoid taking her at all costs.

Everything you read about this class is true. Its almost comical how this class is run. There are two homeworks a week that are basically your entire grade and regardless of how hard you try you will end up with a 2.5/4 guaranteed. The best part is you wont even know how low your grade is until 2 weeks before the final thats only worth 8 points

Professor Caloura is all over the place. She didn't start grading our work until the last week of classes. If you go to her office hours or ask her a question in class she just screams at you and says it because she has a lot going on in her life and how she takes it out on us. I didnt learn one thing from this class and I constantly felt confused

didnt know at all how i was doing until last couple weeks of semester. talks a lot without really saying anything with much substance. work itself is not hard but she is just not very helpful. is sometimes rude and sometimes nice. never had a test until the final and barely know what exactly is going to be on it, but it's only worth 8% of the grade

Professor Caloura is the worst professor at PC. She does not teach you at all and expects you to teach you yourself. On the final there were math problems that she never even tought us. She only graded our work until the last week of classes. She is rude and if you ask her any questions she yells at you. I do not know how she is still a professor.

Horrible.Large portion of grade is based on weekly case questions that are repetitive/boring and graded hard. Group presentations every week with unclear instructions and grades them hard and critiques them while you're presenting making your group feel dumb. We had 3 exams with semester and I don't know anyone who got above a 70% on them. AVOID!!

She reads straight off slide in class so its hard to learn content, that doesn't matter tho there are no tests in class so I didn't really have to study which is chill I guess. Some of her assignments such as PTA's or MB#s can be time consuming and don't try to ask her about them because I don't think she knows what her assignments are either.

I would recommend to steer clear of Caloura. Instructions are constantly unclear and she is angered to answer questions in class. Pretty significant amount of work, and did not explain the content clearly.

The administration faculty at Providence college should be ashamed of Rae caloura. She has no idea how to satisfy the needs of her students, and is very quick to anger when she notices any sort of struggle. Majority of her students have no idea what they learned when leaving class. She will expect you to know all the answers and understand all the material when she has obvious errors in her "answer keys". When she hosts exam reviews, she calls on students to help provide answers to the questions we need help with. She can be very bi polar. She will get pissed off because we didn't do the assignment she never assigned.

Professor Calouras instructions are unclear and she is very disorganized. Weekly assignments were graded on completion but writing and group projects had very confusing instructions. I'm leaving this class feeling like I don't know what marketing is. 25% of our final is on math that she doesn't even know how to do and can't teach us.

Professor Caloura tries her best despite being special and challenged. She must have pension because I have no clue how she has not been fired.

Avoid her if you can choose your teachers. She gets frustrated when someone gets a question wrong in class, and she expects us to know the material when she just reads off slides. Her exams are not bad but compared to other sections of MKT 205 she gives way more math and focuses on it for no reason.

by far the worst i have every taken in my life, she has no regards for students, and on the final she realized she missed up the words for math and messed up the whole class and still did not give us anymore time, even though she found out with 2 mins left in class.

Also makes everything due at 6 pm for some odd reason which caused multiple missing assignments. Had a typo on a class's final and realized it with 5 minutes left.

She never takes class time actually to teach the math portion of the final; she expects you to teach yourself with no resources. While attending the math review, she did not even know how to solve the problems making everyone attending even more confused when the reason we went in the first place was to receive clarity on the topic.

Rae Caloura doesnt have a 2/5. If you take the average of all the students she has a 1.4/5 So dont let that 2/5 fool you. I would argue the 1.4 is also far too high as she has not a clue as to how to teach college students. Must must must avoid her

Put hilarious as a tag because its funny how awful she is. Genuinely hard to explain her incompetence unless you take the class for yourself which I pray you wont have to. Avoid at any costs or else be ready to teach yourself ALL of the basic principles of marketing. Ruined marketing as a major and cannot wait to be done with her class forever.

I was supposed to get an A in the class, but did not submit a SINGULAR, minor assignment stating what company I wanted to choose for a project (which I didn't know the due date bc her canvas had submission dates assigned for NEXT YEAR). My extra credit she refused to add to my missing assignment, finished with a B+. HORRIBLE.

Never ever take this woman. I bet everyone in my class would agree with this review. She is so disorganized, doesn't remember due dates, doesn't know how to teach, makes things due at inconvenient times, picks favorites and makes it clear. Has no idea how to teach the math. I'm truly sorry if you have to take her.

She told us she's disappointed by our test grades compared to the other classes and asked us to ask our friends in the other classes how their teachers teach so we can study with their resources. Slides are illegible (White text on white photos, etc.) Puts extra credit work in as a 0 because "Canvas doesn't allow extra credit"

Very disorganized and all over the place with assignments and grades. Worst of all she has NO idea how to teach the math. Puts a ton of nonsense on the board, often having to restart because she doesn't even know how to do it. Don't understand how she can teach for over 10 years and not think to learn how to teach the math. Stay far away!

Stay away by any means. Professor Caloura was a decent PowerPoint lecturer, but that's the only positive about her class. She seemed open to questions and office hours, but when you would ask or go, she was rude and condescending. Math was also dubious. She had one assignment weighted heavily centered around math, but could not do it herself.

DO NOT TAKE HER! Her grading system is so horrible and garuntees you to fail. She grades the big project assignments out of 4 and only uses whole numbers. If you meet her expectations you only get a 3/4 which is a C. If you do more than what's expected you get an A and if you get literally anything wrong you get a 1 or 2 out of 4 and fail. Awful.

Caloura is the worst business professor I have every taken at PC. She has no idea what she is talking about then gets mad at her students when they don't have an answer for one of her questions. Her exams don't correlate to the lectures and half the time not even the readings. Once had a student do a problem cuz she didn't know how to do it.

Gets off on making students feel like trash, and loves to make them feel stupid. She has a miserable life, and projects it onto her students and offers zero support.

I was stuck taking an 8:30 with Caloura and it was the worst experience of my life. She was so rude multiple times and I was so burnt out by the end of the semester. She literally doesn't know how to do the math but emphasizes how important it is. So much group work that she doesn't explain how to do that you end up getting bad grades on. Avoid her

She will get frustrated when you ask a question about something she does not know the answer to (there will be a lot of things she doesn't know the answer to). Grades all the homework at the end of the semester so if there's something you do wrong once it will be wrong for your entire grade. Disorganized.
