Mr. Okasha was the first teacher that made me actually like math. He really takes you step-by-step and is very generous with extra points on tests if he sees you putting in extra effort in and outside of class. He has a great sense of humor!

Wow, This semester was the first time I had taken math in about 6 years and boy did I luck out with Mr.O'Kasha he is awesome. It's a shame that the school wastes his talent on such low math classes he is far smarter than any teacher that DBCC has to offer

Mr. Okasha is a sweet man. He loves teaching and helping the students to learn. He is extremely knowledgable in math. He brings math down to my level.

He teaches you how to think and to understand the concept. He helped me through several courses of math from college algerbra to calculus. He is very knowledgeable and nice. I recommend him for any math course because you will learn the concepts he teaches, everyone likes him.

It's awesome that you want to see your students do well, most instructors don't even care. He is amazing, the best instructor by far, thanks Mr. Okasha. He is a great instructor and I had no higher expectations.

Mr. Okasha was great in teaching college in the Summer. He was amazing in teaching every concept either by hand or by a graphic calculator. I'm taking statistics now, I wish he is my instructor. I'm sure every body missed you; best teacher.

Mr. OKasha is an excellent instructor. I would recommend him to anyone. He does expect you to come to class and take notes . I have grown as a math student since taking his classes. His expertise reflects in his lectures . This instructor should be teaching the higher level math classes here. The dropout rate for math would decrease dramaticlly.

If anyone wants to understand math, he is the teacher to have. I recommennd him, everybody likes his teaching style, so my advice to certain students to grow up and put a little effort to pass. I took college algebra with Mr. Okasha last summer. He is great, very approachable and will do anything he can to help you. He helped us in the lab to make sure we understood the assignments.It was a great semester.

Okay- i already took College Algebra and failed it.So i took it with Mr. Okasha over the summer and got a B! And math is like a foreign language to me! Yea he moves pretty fast, but he will always help you and he grades almost completely on effort- so just try hard and he will definitely pass you! He's amazing!

Very good teacher, if u say hes going to fast, he slows down. Helps you in his office out of class. The first day it was slightly difficult to understand him, but the next day i got used to it, and it didnt affect my learning at all.

I am not good at math. I was very nervous taking this course over the summer..I'm glad I did. As long as you take notes and listen to him you will do great.I got an A!

Mr. Okasha is the best teacher I have ever had. I was in a four hour evening class with him and he kept me interested throughout the class. He cares about what he does and it shows. I learned a lot and she shows you all sorts of tricks to make things easier!

Great Professor!! I enjoyed his course and I can sincerely say this man is underrated. He should be teaching courses with far greater difficulty. Daytona State College should utilize him for higher level courses, he is more than capable in handling them.

Mr Okasha was great. He is very easy to understand. He is very fair. A student that trys his best will pass. We were allowed help from others when needed. DSC SHOULD utilize him in other classes. I was bummed I couldn't take him this term. Can't go wrong with him!

He was an awesome teacher. Hard to understand, but didn't mind explaing things till you got it. Hated doing the videos and following the book. Taught the easiest way to do a problem and if you would ever need it again in the future. I have a hard time with math and thought I'd be lucky if I got a C. I passes with an A.

Best teacher I've had in math. Explains everything well and will not move on until everyone understands. He wants you to get a good grade. Some tests he lets you do it in groups or use notes. Great teacher, you will learn and I'm taking him for next semester too.

I took this class several times before and never understood any of it. Okasha made all of it click and and he helps you in anyway possible! If you do his assignments and the lab work and go over his notes the test are clear. It's definitely not a cakewalk but an A is a complete possibility if you put forth the effort.

After 4 attempts I had this teacher and he was the best I hd ever ha. Explains everything and heps you succeed.If every teacher had his attitude we would never repeat a math class! Great

Love Okasha! I have never liked Math/Algebra, put off taking it for years..then I took Okasha! He explains math the way it should be explained, teaches ways to save time, and is extremely fair :D Do your lab and assignments, pay attention and you will be fine. Only complaint is moving onto new material before taking a test. But you get used to it.

He's and awsome teacher and is extremely concerned about the student he knows his math and even with his accent he makes math easy and he loves to talk about math. I took Mat1033 twice and failed both times then took it with him and got a B+! now im taking MAC1105 and im not worried about it and i know he will help when i need it! THANK YOU OKASHA!

If you care about yourself as much as he cares about you, you can't fail his classes. He'll work with you all day if that's what it takes to get the concepts through to you. Wonderful man!

I took Okasha for MAC1105 as a result of what I read about him on this website. It took a lot of committment to get up and be there by 8am to learn math, but given the chance I'd take it with him all over again. He truly cares and is passionate about math. If you try and he sees you are trying he will help you any way he can. HIGHLY recommended!

if you understand where he's coming from, he'llunderstand you. i personally love him as a teacher, but if you're not prepared to learn, prepare to fail. he has only the best intentions for his students. :)can't wait to take him for 1033

He's a nice guy & WILL pass you if you try. He is difficult to understand at first because of his accent but he's a GREAT teacher. He makes math clear & I am terrible at math. He doesn't have time for slackers or rude students so if you aren't there to learn, don't take him. If you're bad in math, TAKE HIM! He does all he can to help you pass!

Great notes and instructions. Professor Okasha is highly recommended, I am driving from Deltona to take his class in Daytona. It worth the driving to get the right education.

he was a great teacher. He was sure to cover all the necessities. Do not bring a phone to class. That will turn his attitude in the wrong direction if it were to ring in class, or worse during the exam. He was very helpful and leniient on grading

Mr. Okasha is definitely the best math instructor that I have ever had. It's incredible how Mr. Okasha can help you understand and even like a subject that you have struggled with all your life. I've followed him for several semesters. He's no nonsense, but he's excellent and he really cares.

Professor Okasha has the patience and knowledge to explain every concept and formula thoroughly. He taught us step by step how to solve problems using the graphic calculator. I liked his class and I highly recommend him for everyone. He is a very nice person.

Taking with him four classes is self explanatory. I gave his great notes to my friends and they were impressed. Honestly, he is a great professor.

This professor really cares about his students and wants everyone to succeed. He goes out of his way to create notes to help you better understand the material, as the book can sometimes be a little fuzzy in certain sections. Would definitely recommend any friend to take his course for the future.

This teacher made math so much fun, but most importantly, SUPER EASY AND UNDERSTANDABLE. I hate math so much that I burned through all my English requirements, so now I have no choice. Finals are this week, and I have to say, this was the best experience I have had with math in my LIFE. I am SO sad he won't be at my campus next semester!!

Great professor! Took his class over the summer and there is a lot of work, but if you take notes and do his reviews, you'll get an A. Very good at posting grades. Said we would never have to use the book but I didn't believe him at first, but I only used the book once. Definitely would recommend. I'd never take a math class that he isn't teaching.

I wish I had taken this professor for my previous math classes. He's an excellent teacher. Wants to help you pass and if you're putting forth the effort he will help as much as he can. Likes for students to ask questions and participate. Good sense of humor; keeps the class light.

I took him two years ago for math and i am now wanting to take him again but need to know how his tests are?? Are they a,b,c,d or fill in the blank FOR MAC1105??? I took for him for like mac0029 or something like that and his tests were a,b,c,d and am curious how they are for mac1105!!

He is an amazing math teacher for every type of math student. He is there to help you and will help you for as long as you need as long as you show up to his class and are not disrespectful. Those are of course things he does not tolerate and I agree with that. Also I passed college algebra completely off of his notes, I DID NOT USE A TEXTBOOK!

He is a great teacher as long as you try hard. He is pretty easy on grading. He has a pretty thick accent so beware if you have trouble with accents. That is the only problem with him. I highly recommend him. I was absent for a week because I was sick, and he worked with me to make up the work. Unlike other teachers, he wants you to pass.

After being out of school for many years, I didn't remember a lot of math. He was wonderful. At first I thought I was going to drop out. But he knew I was struggling and helped a lot, not just me he helped but many of us. As long as you attend the class and do your homework and respect him, you will pass. Okasha is the BEST PROF. ever! Once he see you change over the course of time and become a hard worker, he will help you pass the course. He teaches well and ALWAYS takes notes on whatever he wrote down or teaches. You will pass the exam and the course even if the only thing you uses is the notes he wrote down that you wrote down. Whenever you have a question about, he will always be there to answer it. His teachings in MAC1105 is the best of all of any math classes i have taken in DSC. He made MAAC easy so lng as you study, take notes, and do assignments. If you work hard for your grade, you will pass his class. he rarely use the texbooks so be prepared to take notes

Prof Okasha is the BEST professor ever. He will make you think and understand the material which you supposed to have since its college. is class is moderate easy as long as you work hard and do your homework and study for tests. His notes are the best. Use the supplementary notes he post whenever you have trouble on some sections of the book.

I took Rafaat Okasha after failing the college algebra class in summer with another teacher. He is really caring, if he sees that you are trying he will help with everything. You have to do a little staff and can get good mark. He is the best teacher I have ever had. If you in a trouble just say him and explain situation, he will understand you.
