Professor Major is an amazing teacher. He is very intelligent about Political Science and makes a somewhat challenging subject easily understandable for students. He is extremely helpful and understanding. If you do your work and pay attention in class you will get an A. Even though Im an art major I still enjoy this class. I highly recommend him!
Dr. Major is a great. He is very funny and I looked forward to going to this class, despite the fact that I had no interest in the material. I spent a lot of time talking to him during his office hours and he was always extremely helpful. Would definitely take him again.
Dr. Major was my favorite professor this semester. He is genuinely interested in what he teaches and what his students have to say. Although it was government, I was never bored in his class. He's funny and typically energetic. I would love to take another class from him if I could.
Dr. Major is a very intelligent and energetic professor who seems to genuinely care about both the subject matter and if you are understanding it. I highly recommend him for any undergrads that are worried about government.
Definitely my favorite professor this semester! If you go to class and read the textbook, you will get an A! He's interested in the material he teaches and does his best to try to get his students to be interested as well! He's really funny and charismatic which definitely helps for a dull class like poli sci!
This professor was awesome. I am taking him again in the spring semester just because he's so good at what he teaches.
Awesome professor, I would take all of his classes. Funny, witty, and very helpful outside of class.
Great professor! Read the chapters if you want to receive a higher grade on the exams. You can get by with a high C with just the lecture notes , but he's really interesting and you will not be bored. He's funny too so...
Great professor! His class was very beneficial; I learned a lot.
Dr. Major is an incredible teacher. I absolutely loved each lecture and his quirky personality. He makes the material interesting and helps you see its importance. He really helps people look at different perspectives which I really enjoyed. His tests are a mixture of the lectures and textbook, so read the book and go to class and you'll be golden!
He is amazing! So funny, but incredibly knowledgeable and insightful. I took his Good Society class, and he is great at starting interesting debates among students. A relatively easy grader, but he definitely expects you to go above and beyond for a great grade. I would definitely take him again!
Dr. Major was my favorite professor this past semester! I always looked forward to his class and he was very helpful if you asked for it. I never felt lost and he always gave me feedback to help me improve. I would definitely take this class!
AWESOME & FUNNY teacher!! He is very interesting and makes coming to class enjoyable. His tests were a little difficult to me (but PSCI is my weak subject). Grades fairly, if curve is needed he gives it. Only graded on attendance and tests. No hwquizes. Attendance is important but he makes showing up to class worth it. Highly recommend him!!
Don't miss this class. Possible to get an A if you show up and take good notes, plus attendance is for a grade! Dr. Major is a pretty fun teacher for such dry material.
Dr. Major is an excellent professor. He is passionate about his subject, and seems to like his students. He is hilarious, and he says the most unpredictable things in class. Tests are a combination of multiple choice, fill in the blank, and essay, so students with different test-taking strengths can all have a chance.
Professor Major is funny person. He covered most the things in his lecture. the test mostly came from lecture, but little from the textbook. it is not hard to pass this class, but it is not so easy to get a A.
Let me save you $120 right now by saying that you do not need the book, he says you do but if you take notes you'll be fine. His lectures were straight forward and while my peers found him to be "hilarious" I just wanted him to get on with the lectures. The class is like any other college class, but there are only 5 tests. Study or fail!
He's a great professor, just ask him lots of questions. Sometimes he's unclear at first with what he wants, but go talk to him. He's super approachable and helpful. Loved his class! Hope I can take another from him again.
The course is simple because it completely revolves around one perspectise paper. You have different steps you work on throughout the semester but as long as you do what is asked you will pass! He is super wiling to help and explain anything! He really wants you to succeed!
If you go to UNT and doesn't know him, Take his class lol
He's a pretty great guy. He is really funny, which made the class way more interesting. I actually liked going to class. Tests are pretty straight forward. There is no homework, which means a majority of your grade comes from the tests.
Prof Major is awesome. He's like a funny white suburban dad type and makes the lectures relatable to whatever is going on in politics at the time. Personally don't feel like he's pushing his political agenda on us. Wish I could take more classes with him
This class was one of my favorite ones to attend. Professor Major does a wonderful job of making the class content interesting and relevant to current events. He gives you all the test information in his lectures. I attended class almost every time and never needed to read the book. His tests did have fill in the blank the blanks though so STUDY.
He makes lectures interesting and is very willing to help. He is a very funny guy! The only homework you have is studying for the tests. Highly reccomend this class.
Dr. Major's classes seem to go by so quickly because the man has a great sense of humor and actually knows what he's talking about. He doesn't give many tests, but makes it a point to tell you exactly what parts of lecture will be on them. I sincerely wish I could take this class again.
I really liked Major, he reminded me of a goofy dad (which he is). He'd tell cheesy jokes and stories. I enjoyed his lectures despite him getting off topic a lot. He'd tell you what's on the test during his lectures so the tests weren't that hard. I even knew people who didn't show up to class and just read the textbook and got good grades
Major is very funny in class and gives interesting lectures that make you think. His tests are usually multiple choice and fill in the blank. His lectures may seem random at first, but they actually make a lot of sense once you get used to his teaching style. However, the class was a little disorganized throughout the semester
Overall, one of the best professors at UNT. He is very knowledgeable & although we discuss a lot about past political situations, he throws in a lot of modern stuff & current events. He is also very funny and keeps the class really interesting. No reason you can't make an A in his class because his exams are really easy, all you have to do is study.
Dr. Major was hands down my favorite professor this semester! The class is unlike many others- it has some lectures, but it's very group discussion based. He is always willing to help during office hours. It's not an easy class to make an A in, I barely made a 90. You have to be engaged, and don't expect an A. Amazing guy and teacher.
Major is one of my favorite teachers now. I would take another honors class from him if I could. Even when I was very tired, he kept my attention in class. He used current events to make class information seem more interesting and relevant. He made re-learning about the constitution and Texas fun. We had 1 essay, 3 tests, and a final.
Dr. Major is a good professor! Easy class and reading is not needed to get an A. His lectures are fun to listen to and he keeps the class alive by showing videos every now or then. I did not learn much from him since what he taught I already knew (he taught the basic and did not delve into the topic.)- no reason not to get a A
Definitely my favorite professor from my senior year. I've never known him to let his personal political beliefs get into his lectures. He kept everyone interested and was always up for discussion.
Great professor, discussion-based class where participation is a big part of your grade. Lots of reading but mostly interesting. Take him.
He's very funny and a great professor. There is no homework so you need to do well on the tests. Show up, take good notes, and study. If you do that you should be fine.
Great professor. If you get the chance, take him. You won't regret it.
I would generally avoid this class if possible. While the course sounds entertaining and appears to be based off of Socratic seminars, in reality you just sit around and listen to him give you his opinion on a certain reading. When he does ask the class's opinion, he has a tendency to cut you off or state you're wrong.
I enjoyed the class.
He's great, basically he puts on a show. He can be rude sometimes if he doesn't like your opinion we will cut you off and make a joke out of you (but just don't raise your hand and you'll be fine). he tries really hard to memorize names. Tests are tough though, get the book!
he can't explain good and the exams so hard even if u ask him for help he be weird. u just waste youre times if u take with him.
If you show up for class and take basic notes you should be able to do very well in the class. If you miss one assignment though he will not work with you at all and you will likely fail the class regardless if you have a good standing in the class. He seemed nice but do not take as your first choice due to grading
This guy is the best professor I have ever taken. He keeps lectures very interesting and his tests are not difficult. He is not biased but just makes fun of everybody no matter what political party they are from. He loves student participation and he will even remember your name even in a large class. Still you do not have to talk at all.
I thoroughly enjoyed Professor Major's PSCI1040 class!!! I would take PSCI1050 from him but he's not teaching it this semester. He obviously knows his stuff and I learned a lot. And I laughed a lot, he is quite hilarious. I hate Political Science and I still enjoyed his class.
Show up, listen, take notes, do the reviews, do the test, easy A. Grade consisted of 4 exams and the final. Often says, "For the exam..." when lecturing, and it WILL be on the exam. I used the textbook and took notes on it at first, but I stopped reading and was fine without it. Take his class to get the core credit satisfied.
The TAs do not help with studying and when you ask for the answers to the review they won't give you it
His voice reminds me exactly of Greg Proops from 'Whose Line is it Anyways?'. This was the best class I took this semester. His lectures are always entertaining and he really puts effort into everyone understanding the content. Show up to class, take good notes, and you'll be fine.
Professor Major is great. He has awesome classroom presence and keeps students entertained, which is really hard to do. I learned the material well because he taught it well. I hardly studied for the tests and got an A (but do study). We had 4 exams, one research paper, and a final exam. If you pay attention, you should get an A.
Professor Major was one of my favorites! He explained everything really well and told you what was going to be on the test. I never read the book and got an A in the class because all you have to do is study your notes. He makes class interesting, is super funny and cares about his students. You won't regret taking him!
Professor Major is fantastic! His lectures are very easy to follow and has a TA that writes general notes on the screen in the front of the room. Exams are not too bad but you still need to study. You don't need to use the textbook but I still recommend for clarification. Only annoying thing is the TAs take forever to grade exams.
He's very funny. The class isn't hard to pass, but you do have to put in work if you want an A.
Don't buy the textbook because you won't need it as long as you show up to class! He conducts review sessions the class period prior to each test, as long as you go to those and memorize everything he lectures about, you'll ace every test. He is very funny and approachable. The only grades are tests, and there are many of them.
Dr. Major is an awesome professor!! I found the class to be really interesting. Make sure you talk A LOT in his class because participation is part of the grade, and he takes that seriously. Do the assigned reading! His exam reviews are really helpful and all you need to know for the exams. The class is mainly discussion-based. I learned a lot!
This class was very tedious! You sort of have to figure out your research project on your own; it's all independent work. There is a lot of assigned work and be prepared to do A LOT of writing! Dr. Major was a really good mentor though. Make sure you see him for help; he gives a lot of good suggestions.
he gives 4 tests with a final. he curved our final by 5 points. good teacher and makes funny jokes and is never dull. would take again
Very funny and gives good examples when teaching. If I studied my notes more and went to more classes than I did, I would have gotten a better grade.
Dr. Major's class was my favorite last semester. He is absolutely hilarious! Make sure to get every book in the syllabus because you WILL use them all. There's a lot of reading, but it's mostly pretty interesting. Besides, even if you don't read, you can pick up a summary during the discussion in class. Largely discussion based.
Lectures are clear and he stresses the importance of things. He is clearly passionate about the subject and gets excited when students get things right. Easy on the eyes too. No homework, just reread your notes
Hilarious. Passionate. Great teacher. Tough grader. Curves are rare. No extra credit. Grades come from exams only. Don't study and you won't pass. SI sessions really help. If he says "for the exam" WRITE DOWN WHAT HE'S ABOUT TO SAY! If it wasn't for his tough grading, lack of assignments and extra credit. He would get a perfect score. Study hard!
Dr. Major is great, if you go to class and take notes, you WILL GET AN A!
Dr. Major makes lectures interesting and fun because he has a quirky sense of humor. His class is easy if you take notes and go to class.
Dr. Major was incredible! I always had a great time in lecture and learned a great deal while having a good time. Exams are not to be taken lightly, be sure to study everything on the review. You need to go to class to pass. I found that reading the book helped me a lot as well. Read before lecture, you will understand his process a lot better.
Major is an amazing prof. He teaches his lectures very quickly and does not stop for anyone so be prepared to listen and take LOTS of notes. If you have trouble with this I HIGHLY suggest going to SI Sessions. I would not have passed his class if i did not attend these. Tests are extremely hard if not properly studied for.
lectures are catered to relate to the audience, humorous yet respectful to the political beliefs of students, teaches for students to think inside the box so that one can think outside the box, lots of voluntary class discussions, and so much more. He's a great professor. TAKE HIM
He was great! His lectures were easy to follow along and he provided a broad range of topics and perspectives. You need to show up to pass, and it helps a lot to read the textbook. If you show up and you complete the reviews, easy A.
Dr Major is a GREAT PROFESSOR. All you have to do to do well is go to class, take good notes, pay attention, and study about 4 hours per test. He gives about 5 exams during the semester, but that's a good thing because it's less material to memorize. Do the review he hands out before the test using your in class notes! Tests are lecture based 100%!
Dr. Major is the best political science professor at UNT!! He tries to make his lectures as engaging as possible and the tests are easy if you go to class. Attendance is a part of your grade, but tests would be hard if you don't go to class because he tells you whats gonna be on the test. Would 10/10 recommend!
Very engaging class. The lectures are very interesting and he gives lots of hints as to whats on the test, so going to class is important. No side work Just 5 exams.
Dr. Major's class, which I took 2 years ago, to this day was one of my favorite courses @UNT. His lectures were engaging and this man is HILARIOUS. Definitely made a not-so-fun topic like the basics of government very interesting. I have recommended taking courses from Dr. Major to many of my friends, and would love to take a class with him again!
dr. major is the love of our lives and honestly i would take this class over and over again just to listen to his jokes
Major is certainly one of the best instructors I have had here. So much so, that I actually went out of my way to make sure I wrote a review. The only downside is that the only grades you receive are from the tests (Study). But he is funny, incredibly unbiased and amazingly curious (which makes for him to be open to new ideas which I love).
Absolutely adored this class and his teaching style. All he needs is a pen and paper, writes down terms and explains them in great length so you can structure your notes however much you want. Answers any question you throw at him and actually does a good job of teaching every side of politics. I'm definitely taking him again for PSCI 2306.
I would definitely take his class if i get a chance again, he is hilarious and very passionate about what he is teaching , his lectures are great and he gets you to really learn, no homework only test but as long as you show up and take notes you should be ok.
Attendance is a grade, but usually he has enough energy to keep you engaged the entire time. Tests are super easy since he gives you a specific review guide and he even will tell you answers to future test questions. I didn't read the text book and kept an A the entire time.
Very entertaining professor, engaging each class before during and after each lecture. Attendance is part of your grade. Easy B or A if you go to class, take a little bit of notes, and pay attention to the review and his lectures, because he'll baby feed you answers throughout the weeks leading up to the exam. Would definitely take again.
Prof Major is one of the best at UNT. The class is really easy, he teaches exactly what you need to know for the test from the top of his head (no powerpoint). Tests are frequent so it's less info on each test. Attendance is mandatory but he is really smart and VERY funny, you will not get bored I promise. He's flexible and understanding as well.
Had a small class of 7, so class was more like a book club. Had to read books outside of class and then after reading and discussing the whole book, we wrote essays that ranged from 3-6 pages. Major is very enthusiastic and open to new ideas. Grade was made up of 3 essays and a group project, so make sure you put effort into those.
Dr. Major is so funny and he cares about his students and his lectures are very engaging. Attendance is mandatory and there are 5 exams. He gives reviews so just study them on quizlet and you can get easy As on the exams.
He is probably my favorite professor I've ever had! Took his class at 8am & I never even wanted to skip because he was such a joy to learn from. Very clear when teaching about what will be on tests, and works with students to help their grades. Not much extra credit and doesn't post material online, so class is a must if you wanna pass (only tests)
Great Professor, his lectures are probably the best of all the other professors I've had.
He's a great teacher. As long as you go to lecture you'll have no problem, but without lecture it's ridiculously hard to get an A. He makes sure to give you all the information you could need during lecture, so the book isn't worth buying, plus you can find it free online.
Professor Major was the best professor I have ever had as he was extremely down-to-earth and made me laugh every class. He made learning actually fun and I am sad that I wont be having him as a professor again. He will give you all you need for the exams. You only have to read a little bit. Great class. Lots of interesting stories.
Funny and interesting lectures. Curves grades pretty significantly. Just take good notes and make some flashcards for the tests.
Would love to take another one of his classes. Never a dull moment and actually felt worth my time to come to class. He is hilariously honest and cares about each individual in his class.
The class is pretty much just discussion, reading, and writing. Sometimes he likes to inject politics (left leaning) into his class but not that often. He graded papers kind of tough, but you can get through it. Very forgiving with due dates etc.; I turned papers in a little late and he never took off points. Do the reading and you'll do fine.
Dr. Major is one of the best teachers I've ever had. He truly is interested in the furthering of education amongst his students, and there is never a dull moment in class. His lectures are thought provoking and the class is very enjoyable. A lot of the papers he assigns are based on the analytical lectures he gives so it's very important to show up
Easiest class I've taken. Everything is lecture based, so you have to attend class. The test are off what he says and is very easy if you just listen and write major points down. This class is an easy A. Take him if you take this class. Highly suggest you won't be disappointed. Lectures are interesting as well.
I had Dr. Major my first semester of college at 8am. I came to every single class because I had no reason to skip. It was a great way to start my day. Dr. Major is the best professor I had. He was hilarious and his lectures were interesting. He had 5 tests and then the final exam. He gave reviews for every test and even curved some of the tests.
The number of times I laughed during his lectures was way too many for a political science course! Professor Major made learning about politics fun and engaging, there was never a dull moment in his class. 5 exams, no other assignments, show up, pay attention, read the textbook a little and it is an easy A! I walked out last spring with a 97!
The good society was a really good class but not what I expected. Kinda like a book club-- grade based on four papers written on four different readings. Dr. Major is hilarious, gives great lectures, and really makes you think. Go to office hours for paper help as much as possible, shows you care and he really helps. One of my favorite classes yet.
He sucks at responding to his emails. In fact, on a test day, I had my cousin's wedding, which I was super involved in, and he told me he gave me an extension to take my test, but he didn't, and when I emailed him telling the extension didn't go through, he never responded. I had to rush out of the wedding to take an hour test in under 30 minutes!
I took his online class and tried to reach out several times but he never responded to anything. His exams are super hard and there wasnt even enough time to read all the questions for me. You have 60 minutes for 75 questions. He gives 4 exams and one final exam and lots of reading assignments and 5 writing assignments.
Don't expect "type A" in terms of grading or announcements from Major, but he is really funny & if you patriciate in class he starts to warm up to you. Even though he's a bit quirky, in class discussion are interesting. This class is a good elective if you want semi-easy & psychology & a bit of world literature. Fairly easy to make a B or an A.
Professor Major is the funniest professor you'll take. He's always making the text really relatable and simplifying it while cracking tons of jokes throughout the lecture. You'll want to attend the lectures though, as the texts were fairly complex and his analysis will really help. The class is graded off 4/5 papers and a few discussion posts.
Because this was such a huge class, we barely got any interaction with Professor Major. Most of our work was on our online textbook, and the TAs graded our discussions. He didn't do anything "bad" per se, but he's not the best professor I've ever had.
He sucks at responding to emails and anything Canvas doesnt grade the TAs graded. Very little connection with students. He also changed his syllabus last minute. I dont recommend taking his class online because he just posts the work at the start of the semester and leaves it
This is the most eccentric man you will ever meet. 10/10 would recommend. Read the material, pay attention in lectures, and write your essays. He does notice when your essay quality goes down, but he's not too harsh about it. Super funny.
I'll start with the given, Professor Major is VERY funny. Though, inaccessible and doesn't clearly communicate deadlines, expectations, or curricula. You never really know what the test is ACTUALLY going to cover, but he does make attempts to make it clear. Very funny and enlightening, but disorganized and unclear communication.
Dr. Major was a really fun prof to have, his lectures really added to my understanding of the textbook material. I'd say the only issue is that he kept making the time limit for the chapter exams insanely short, like less than 30sec per question at one point. Overall, if you read the textbook and show up it should be an easy A.
Took honors psci as a hybrid class and it was very straightforward and "easy" in that sense. Major is very nice and funny. The course is literally just reading online textbook passages with quizzes on every page and then the tests are pulled straight from the quizzes. One paper assignment is easy if you start early.
Easy A if you do the work... which there's a lot of. It's pretty much impossible to pass this class if you don't do the work so don't expect a blow-off credit class. Prof. Major is super hilarious!! Attendance wasn't required but was definitely helpful if you struggle with the material.
Funniest man I've ever met. Class isn't too hard, as long as you have good notes you'll do fine. 99% of answers for assignments and tests are on Quizlet. No class on test days which is great.
Dr. Major is the most interesting man you'll ever meet. His class was chaotic, & based it off of "reacting to the past" role play games. Those games require books, but you'll be ok without it. This man definitely has ADHD, but you will ALWAYS be engaged. He cancels class occasionally, but always on the 24th. Take his class just for the vibes.
He decided to change the way he taught The Good Society class for Fall 2021. Instead we acted historical events (Athens when democracy was created and French Revolution). It was very interesting and the grading was based off participation and written assignments. He tried his best with the new teaching method and would make adjustments.
He's a good guy and makes class engaging and fun, but he is a little disorganized with grading and feedback on assignments. Other than that I recommend.
He was a good professor. I'm really bad at political science so I didn't expect an A, which definitely isn't his fault. He is a really funny, really good professor.
I loved this class! The professor made the material interesting and easy to understand. If you go to class and take good notes, you will do well on the tests. He posts a review before each test too. I emailed him once and he responded the same day. I can see how it may take a while to get a response since he has many students tho. Highly Recommend!
LOVE Rafe. He is hilarious. I had him at 8am too, and he kept me engaged. You do not have to show up though. He posts reviews for every exam, and he's good at lecturing in my opinion.
Having Dr. Major for the Fall was a great experience. Though he can sometimes be disorganized, in no way does he let it affect you or your performance. In my first semester, this was definitely the class in which I was able to learn and grow the most as a scholar. I would definitely recommend taking him for political science.
He doesn’t really teach
Very fun teacher and very easy class. While his lectures can be confusing at times, he gives out a very good test review. As long as you study the review and do the online homework, you will get an easy A.
Frankly speaking, he's probably one of the wackier professors you'll have, but he's hilarious and genuinely cares about the learning experience his students have. Show effort and spend time getting to know him, and you'll be able to pass for sure. Don't expect his classes to be the standard learning experience!
best professor i've ever had. the projects we did in class were SO fun. i legitimately want to take the good society again just because the projects were so fun. lots of reading but it's easy to get through.
Dr. Major is disorganized and sometimes his lectures are all over the place. Thankfully, he and his TA's put together helpful test reviews before each test. If you do your test reviews and do the online homework (just busy work), you'll be just fine.
LECTURE HEAVY, not good for visual learners at all. Had no visuals for the exception of his handwriting which was barely legible. Talks way too fast and is very unorganized. Only survived because of the text book. Some test questions were not discussed or even on the book so it was a guessing game.
Dr. Major is a fantastic professor! If I could take this class again I absolutely would. There were a lot of difficult readings, but I don't believe he has the same assignments every semester.
AWESOME Guy. Amazing Professor I took him for PSCI 2306. Really nothing bad about besides the TAs.
Prof. Major is actually pretty interesting. His lectures are worth attending however his grading style is very poor. He waits till the very last exam to change the weight of your grade i dropped 7% 2 weeks before the end of the semester. You'll pass a lot better if you attend because he tells you where his test questions are from. The tests are hvy
Great professor and GREAT lecturer. I find it hard to follow along in lectures normally, but he isn't dull. He uses lots of analogies to help u understand, which helps a lot. Very understanding and open to answering any questions u have, email him beforehand for an appointment, Anything ur lost about j ask. He tries hard to clear up any confusion.
Test heavy, but not hard to pass, just make sure to attend the classes. He addresses many questions from the test in class. His lectures are easy to understand, so listening to them won't be too much. The review sheets provided are very helpful and he'll curve the test most of the time. There is a textbook but you don't need it if you go to the class.
His lectures can be all over the place but overall whatever he talks about ends up being on the test, so make sure to pay attention to whatever he may say may be on the next test. Can be a bit disorganized but the TAs helped a lot and were really responsive to emails. He will assign online textbook assignments, which help with tests.
Enjoyed his class. It was at 8am and his lectures are interesting enough it keeps you awake.
He's a great professor. He's really funny and his lectures are interesting enough to keep you engaged. Pay attention, what he says will be on the exams. 5 exams that make up 60% of your grade, which I wasn't a fan of, but he curved all of them. Make sure you do the smartbook assignments, it's easy to get a 100 on them and you'll need those points.
Notes from lectures are posted on Canvas, however, I recommend attending his lectures as they help and he is quite hilarious. Exams can be difficult if you don't study.
absolutely one of my favorite lecturers! reminds me of jim carrey in a way. attendance was not mandatory for my class and most assignments were online based except for when it came to exams.
He is an amazing professor. A genuinely funny guy, his lectures cover some pretty difficult topics, but he's a great speaker. There aren't many assignments in this class, but he's a pretty lenient grader if you genuinely try and he sees you're putting the effort in.
This guy rocks, he is mad funny, and understanding. Definitely would take him again
He's really funny and makes his lectures super engaging. I had him at 8 am and still enjoyed it. Not a lot of homework so most of your grade comes from exams. He doesn't take attendance but he doesn't use/post slides or notes at all so you have to go to class.
He does not want many people to get 100s on his exams so it can be difficult to boost a grade if you do poorly on one. He is really understanding if you need to take an exam early or late. He doesn't use canvas and is a bit disorganized
If you're ethnic. He will pronounce and absolutely butcher your name wrong the whole entire semester.
Fantastic professor. I had him at 8 am in a class of 500 kids and the lectures were still so interesting and engaging. Very well set up course: a good amount of homework and a few exams. Exams were curved and he provided great reviews beforehand. Tells you exactly what to write down during lecture for what will be on the exam. Awesome professor.
Never a boring lecture, decent amount of homework and attendance not mandatory!
Professor Major brings a lot of energy to the lectures, making even the 8 am class engaging. While attendance is mandatory, his clear exam prep and use of tools like Unstuckstudy make studying efficient. The workload is manageable, and I ended up with a solid A.
What a cat! The most down to Earth professor you'll meet. Class is engaging, and he manages to turn previously boring materials into the shocking declarations they truly are. Not too much work but a decent amount of reading. Dr. Major will print off some materials and even extras. Don't take them if you're afraid of heights; he's got a lot.
Interesting guy, to say the least. A character that will make class less boring. Can't remember if attendance was even a grade but do show up or you'll be totally confused. The class content was boring but he's the highlight of the class and he makes the assignments fun for us. Taking him at least once was is a must. Bad at emails though.
If you need the honors credit, take this guy. Super funny, down-to-earth, kooky dude who never has a boring lecture. No homework, so entire grade is based upon 5 exams, a project and the final. If you study they really aren't much of a problem, what we talk about in class is normally what's on the test, and you get a review sheet before each exam.
