He has a great sense of humor and provides plenty of opportunities for extra credit.

The class was over all good. The professor went over slides and did practice questions during lectures. Grades are based on homeworks, labs, and 2 exams.

This professor is easy to understand and does a lot of practice problems. The class only has two exams, but he does grade nicely and is understanding. The homework has extra credit if you put it into LaTex which helps the homework grade go up.

It is important to attend his class whenever possible if you want to fully understand the lessons. The notes are posted in canvas but you miss out on the in-person teaching that you wouldn't get only from the notes.

It's a solid course that provided the foundation I needed as a Comp Sci Freshman. As long as you attend all of his lectures, and listen you will be fine. The midterm was very forward, and you were allowed to use as many notes as you wanted. It's is a fast paced course though, so keep that in mind.

This professor is good and cares about his students. I personally thought that the entire course was fun, but difficult at first while gradually becoming easier. The only improvements for the course would be more homework assignments, more examples question discussed in class, and a higher emphasis on learning coding specifically Python code.

Great professor! A good choice for any coding/computing classes. The course was organized very well. To do good in class, you have to pay attention to lectures and do all the homework. Some exams had topics he didn't cover in-depth, but overall, a great course. The professor really cares about teaching and about his students.

Lectures are pretty much easy to follow and understand. As long as you attend the lectures and do your best to research the materials outside of class either through the content provided by the professor or any other form of educational videos or websites you will most likely do great and enjoy the topic taught by the professor.

Its a good, albeit somewhat boring class. I was already familiar with the material, and most of what I learned was different vocab for concepts I was already understood. The class is theoretical in nature, and the labs are trivial. I would prefer more practical exercises. The homework and tests are quite easy, but the TA gave limited feedback.

Professor Papa always made sure to be as clear as he could in all lectures to ensure that his students could complete assignments without much difficulty. This has nothing to do with the professor himself but I was struggling to understand the purpose of the class throughout the semester. It felt like all the lessons was being covered by other classes in the degree in a more interesting setting. Class is mostly homework and attendance is not taken. extra free programs are used in this class.

One of the most out going professor I've seen. His humor is amusing and one of the coolest professor out there. Most of his lectures tend to be boring but at the end, it gets fascinating. He hands out assignment 2 weeks ahead of time and he let you review for the middle term exam together with the whole class.

As long as you show up to class you will start to understand every topic, very clear and easy to ask questions to. Only hard part was using latex for homework but if needed, he will explain or show you how to reach a site to help guide you.

He will do his best to assist you and set you up for success, so as long as you put in the effort required, this class will be really easy. Professor Papa is one of the best Professors I could have asked for during my first semester at FAU. At the beginning of the semester, he stated that as long as you pay attention and do the work, you will have no problem. Attending every class will only benefit you. The homework is fairly simple considering you stay on top of things, and you are given more than enough time to turn in assignments. Not attending lectures will lead to you feeling behind. The lab classes are coding assignments that aren't really taught to you and you are expected to teach yourself.

Honestly, would take him again. The material isn't difficult and he gives out a lot of extra credit. He even had our exams open note. There's really no way you could fail this class if you take him. Just make sure to take notes and do all the homework/Labs. Labs are also pretty easy.

For the fact that this class covered a topic that is quite challenging, Professor Rafael Papa did a great job teaching and made it possible for students who struggled with the concepts to get through the class without failing it. I also enjoyed his sense of humor that changed the tone of our lectures, while also keeping our class productive.

He ensures that he provides examples and then he also uploads any notes taken or examples done in class so that the students can have something to reference back on. There is homework and labs every week but most of(the examples) are covered in class.

The professor teaches pretty well. His homework's do take a long time to do, however he doesn't assign too many of them to be overwhelming. He can respond to student's questions and answer them effectively. And he gives us time to read and understand the lectures not going too fast.

He's pretty good and for what you may expect out of a computer science teacher. Very lenient with tests; You won't fail as long as you try. He has a few pronounciation issues with words but he's willing to correct himself with feedback from students. His lectures could be more precise, but as compensation he provides the class notes the day after.

It's not a bad class. The only thing is that he gets confused when you ask him a question and repeat what he just said. He doesn't like talking in his class if you're loud because I think he believes you're interrupting him, even if it's on the topic. He's a good teacher, and I would retake him.

Homework is not made very difficult and the exams are graded in such a way that they are never too damaging even with a lower score. I recommend.

I think personally this course is fine as is only thing that maybe could be changed is having the lectures recorded and being more up-to-date with posting the notes after each lecture.

Only thing that could be improved on in my opinion is recording lectures maybe and posting the notes on canvas a bit quicker other than that the material understanding and help is there.

He often double takes to ensure that his pupils have understood the lecture. Class covers a lot of important topics in a well paced and well introduced manner. The homework relates well to the topics taught in class and helps re-enforce that weeks material. Overall it was an enjoyable class and it will definitely give you the foundational programming skills you didn't know you needed.
