He's awesome, he really makes you understand A&P! I don't even think he's hard, you just need to keep up with notes! requires lots of memorization, and i love when he cusses in Chinese.. hhmm- hmmm very funny!

Professor Torres is a great teacher! He gives plenty of extra credit which really helps test grade. Alot of memorization, but an A is possible! I would definitely reccommend him!!! He makes time fly by.

Prof Torres is a wonderful teacher. He is very comical and makes A&P fun. Lots of extra credit is offered which helps test grades. Study hard, an A is possible but it takes lots of hard work.

Knows his stuff. Stay on top of him to give you handouts and review info, he will sometimes forget and give you alot of information a day before the test. Out of 33 people that started in my class all but 9 dropped.

Prof Torres is funny, he will work with you if you need help he is just an all around good guy. BUT beware his test are killers KNOW your stuff. GO to the lab. The first test is always a killer only 2 b's out of 25 the rest was 75 and down.

Easy if you just study PTR's, and remember essays for tests. Very very easy to get an A. Gives extra credit!

Mr.Torres was the best teacher ever. His test may have been tough,but it's a tough class any way. So I would recomend him to everyone!!!

For the recent "impossible" ratings, give it some more time. I thought the same thing at first, but he is great. He is funny, and I remember so much now that I am in 2402. I wish he taught it. I miss his fun style of teaching! He gives alot of extra credit, and will help you if you need it...

Prof Torres teaches at a high level. Make sure you know his handouts thoroughly, memorize the essays, and take good notes. I took him for Summer I 04 and aced the class. That hard work paid off for the second half of A&P. Torres expects you to work, but will help out if things get tough for you.

VERY GOOD PROFESSOR

With studying a person can get a good grade; he gives many bonus points for attendance & oral exams to help people out; really goo teacher.

Tests were very hard and over a lot of material. Claims that all test material is in his notes, which is about 80% true. He gives lots of extra credit, and drops some grades, but you need it if you want to get a good grade. Yes, he's funny, but he wastes a lot of valuable time emphasizing unimportant material. Overall, got a B in the class.

Be ready for a whole lot of memorization! He gives handouts to study by and doesn't want you to use the book, which to me made it harder to understand what you were memorizing. Alot of the material on the handout wasn't even on the test and it seemed that alot of material on the test wasn't on the handout. He gives extra credit chances, take them!

Good prof. Torres's summer class was difficult but by no means was it impossible. Understand that this is not an easy course, so commit yourself to studying hard, memorizing your @$$ off, taking practice tests, and you'll do fine. If you tend to skip class, you won't make the grade, but since you can't skip out during nursing school anyway...

this is a good teacher to take if you do all of the readings that he gives you i passed the class thanks to him he worked with me so i do reccomend that you take this teacher he is so nice and helpful i would take him again if he was teaching 2402

This class takes dedication. I made an "A" in this class because I was focused and with every chance I had, I studied-being that I have 2 kids and a husband. Like I said, dedication is key

Whatever he calls essays aren't essays. Made an A with someone else, glad I pulled out when I did!!!!!!

Excellent Prof, a lot of work and determination will give you the grade and knowledge necessary towards your goal. Do all the extra credit work he offers, memorize his handouts, take good notes for a sure A. Wish he taught 2402!

He gives you absolutely every oppertunity to make an A that he can. He gives you extra credit on every test, and will even drop tests for you if you did very poor. He wants you to make and A! He is very clear, and gives you all the resources you need. This class is hard! But, that is not because Torres makes it hard. You HAVE to study.

I was glad I took his class.I disagree that there are high drop rates in his classes because in my class most of students were still taking him.The programs in the computer help you understand the topics and also the handouts have questions that also appear in the exams.A lot of extra credit. He drops two of your lower test scores to make an "A".

I really enjoyed this class. He wants his students to make and "A". I'm glad I didn't believe what everyone else said. Grades were just posted and I made an "A". Just read his PTR's and do the extra credit =o)

GREAT Teacher!!!! He's funny. Took his class in the summer. Read his PTR's and do the review his CDROM. STUDY STUDY STUDY. gives extra credit. Loved the class just wish i learned more.

Mr. Torres has an amazing memory and expects you to exercise your own. Considering this is an anatomy class your job is to memorize everything he tells you to remember. He outlines it very clearly and let's you know what he expects. He has a Puerto Rican accent, but anybody with a little patience can get past that.

What a wonderful teacher. I took his class in the summer & I really enjoyed it, it made me not regret going to summer school. I got an A. As for those who are interested:READ THE PTRS, STUDY THE CD PROGRAMS, AND DO THE XTRA CREDIT. This guarantees an A, and do think you'll be studing nonstop, a couple of minutes a day & your set.

Very easy in the sense that he gives you his lecture materieal, and that is precisely what's on the test. Yes, it take time to read through the notes a time or two before the test, but I don't think that's asking too much. You have to memorize "essays" and body parts for some of the tests, but it was easier than it sounds.

Dr. Torres is a great teacher. He tells you EXACTLY what he wants and if you do it you will get an A. I highly recommend him. His classes are joy to attend. Also, he offers a ton of extra credit options. So if you get a low score on a test, you can almost always make it up with extra credit. A&P is a hard class but Torres makes it easy.

I took this class as a requirement for grad school and I have to admit that I learned a lot with Torres. He is a wonder instructor and very smart. His lectures are never boring and his tests are exactly from his notes.. I do recommend his class..

He is in incredible teacher!! I rearranged my class schedule in order to take him and im glad I did. Anatomy is not easy but he makes it interesting. He actually wants you to make and A and do well! You will have to study, study, study!! Awesome, Awesome teacher, I would take all his classes. Im just sad he doesnt teach anatomy II.

THE BEST A&P teacher ever. You will surely regret it if you don't. Gives lots of help to boost up your grade but you have to work for it. Tests are directly from the notes and you have study study study but you can get an A. You don't really need the lab book, but get the CD for the Lab exam and future tests because it is really helpful!!!

The best instructor ever! At first the class it self its hard but he makes it easier with online quizes and computer lab programs...get the cd is very helpful...labs are the best..just requires alot of memorization...he offers extra points...in a few words he is the best A&P professor..I got an A it wasn't easy but I worked for it..

in response to the broken english comment. I do not believe his accent is of any importance when a hard copy of lecture is given to you. Unless you are not up to college standards then you will do bad. A biology course should be hard. OR YOU CAN PICK UP A BOOK AND READ :) YOU ARE IN COLLEGE!

this is a cake walk. Talking of easy professors, dont forget to mention his name. too much extra credits so no reason for u to get something lower than a B.

Professore Torres Is incredible! At first his class can come off as rather intimidating in the sense that you do have to memorize essays, but in the end those along with eveything else you have to memorize really does help. DO THE EXTRA CREDIT!!! There is no way I would have made an A w/o it!!

Torres was an awesome professor... When he says that he sets you up to get an A he really does! You have to work your butt off..make sure to do ALL the extra credit!!! It is sooo worth it! If you cant hack this class...then you should contemplate why your majoring in a biology! lol He rocks! Gonna miss him!!!:(

Mr. Torres is a good prof., but I can tell you I've never studied soo much for any clas in my life! Be prepared for a lot of memorizing. Smoke will be coming out of your ears! YOU MUST TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THE EXTRA CREDIT! It will make or break you in his class. Very helpful & funny. He wants you to get an "A", so put fourth all your effort!

He's a great professor!!!! He gives a ton of extra credit and all of the test's are multiple choice. (except for the lab tests). He is very helpful and really cares about his students. A&P is not an easy class, but if you are a hard worker and good at memorizing you can definitely make an A+ in his class. (don't get the lab book, never used it)

Great Professor! He does lots of lecturing and some computer work in the biospot (to help visually with the processes). You learn a great deal in the class and he makes the class enjoyable and can have you laughing off your chair on occasion. Just study, go to class, DO EXTRA CREDIT, and take notes!

Great professor with a good sense of humor and a drive to have his students do well in his class. Yes, there is much to memorize, but go over the handouts several times until it sinks in, and the essay questions help immensely. I would take him again for A & P II if he were instructing that class.

Professor Torres is the best!!! He really cares about his students. One of the greatest professors I've had. Enjoyed the class tremendously even though the material was difficult. Prof. Torres really wants his students to do well in his class and will offer all sorts of help (including extra credit) so that those students who work hard can make an A. Loved him. Wish he was teaching A&P II.

You get out of this class what you put into it. If you work hard, learn the essay questions, the extra credit problems, and you will do well. His tests follow the essay questions. I would take Professor Torres again if he taught 2402

Professor Torres is a hoot! He kept me entertained and I learned a lot. With all the extra credit offered, I was able to slack off quit a bit and still get an A for the term.

His classes are very informative and entertaining. I recommend anyone that has to take A&P take his class and attend every one of them. You learn so much. He even made HIV reproduction simple. Awesome professor. Wish he taught A&P II.

He comes off as mean but he is a great teacher! He makes the information very clear and uses a lot of computer programs. He gives quizzes online, but the information comes off of his programs! He makes sure someone is always available for tutoring!

Mr. "T" is the man! His class is really informative and he prepares you not only for 2402, but a career in the medical field. You do have to learn alot of info, but its college and that is expected. Honestly I am a high school drop-out and I made an "A" with no problem. So if your head is in the right place, you will be fine!

I LOVED THIS PROFESSOR! HE HAS ALL KINDS OF MATERIAL AVAIABLE FOR EVERY KIND OF LEARNER. VISUAL, AUITORY, ETC.HIS LECTURES EXAMS ARE STRAIGHT FROM HIS PTRS AND ESSAY QUESTIONS. HE IS ALL ABOUT MEMORIZATION BUT THANKS TO THAT ILL NEVER FORGET THE STEPS IN PROTEIN SYTHESIS. LABS EXAMS ARE FUN AND HE PRACTICALLY GIVES YOU THE ANSWERS. LOVE HIM!!!!

Mr. Torres is a very educated man and a fun teacher!With that said he gives TONS of info and uses his handouts, cds, book, and notes- when it comes to studying there is a lot of material to cover. He does not give a review he will test on every thing and he expects you to devote all your time to his class! Its too much with not enough time

Prof. Torres has an exceptional way of making a subject that I was not familiar with, easy to understand, with plenty of visual and audio aids. If you do the work sheets in the lab manual you will have a better understanding of the material. Will need lab book for slides. He does reviews the day before the tests and will you understand material.

Prof.Torres is way F-ing cool! He knows his material like the back of his metacarpals. Keeps class interesting and entertaining. Because anatomy is an extremely challenging subject, be prepared to study like your life depends on it. Attempt ALL extra credit opportunities he gives you. If you're going into a health related field, you want this guy.

Prof. Torres is the best teacher i have ever had!!! He made the material so easy to understand and offers tons of extra credit, so even if you aren't doing to hot in his class you have a chance to make a good grade. If you go to class and study the material you will do fine. Thank you Prof. Torres you are awesome!!

I think Professor Torres is AWESOME!!!! There is hardly any reading out of the book, he only wants you to read what he tells you to read, which isn't much. Study his CD and his PTR's from his website and you will get an A on his tests. He gives a lot of extra credit. I don't recommend you buy the Lab book until you attend class, we didn't use it.

Prof Torres is a very smart and helpful teacher. He makes you think about real world application which I liked. Would def take him again wish he taught A&P 2. He gives lots of extra credit so if you make a bad grade its on you! Good teacher.

PROF TORRES IS BY FAR ONE OF THE BEST TEACHERS AT SAC.HE KNOWS WHAT HE IS TALKING ABOUT & IS HELPFUL. HE GIVES CHANCES TO EARN EXTRA CREDIT.NO HE'S NOT GOING TO HAND YOU AN A, YOU HAVE TO WORK FOR IT.THE LAB BOOK IS NOT NECESSARY.I GOT AN A BUT HAD TO STUDY HIS PTRS, AND MEMORIZE LOTS OF IMAGES FROM BOOK.GREAT AT PREPPING YOU FOR REAL LIFE SCENES.

OK I dont even know how to start... I LOVED PROFESSOR TORRES AND HIS CLASS!! HE MOTIVATES YOU TO LEARN AND STUDY. WE RARELY USED THE BOOKS, JUST READ HIS PTR'S AND YOU MUST BUY HIS CD , ITS SO HELPFUL!! I MISS HIS CLASS SO MUCH, STUDY HARD AND WILL MAKE AN A LIKE I DID!! TAKE HIS CLASS YOU WONT EVER REGRET IT..

Took him for A&PI in Fall '10. Great class for visual learners. Barely used book, but bought & used his CD - well worth it! Funny, helpful and really cares about students. Not an easy subject but if you study & attempt the various forms of extra credit-it's good as gold. I walked away with my A, very happy and prepared for A&P II.

Amazing teacher I really enjoy being in his class he is funny and helps you a lot. I got an A but I did all my work. Take him you won't regret it

I sdore Prof Torres. I am so sad he is retiring after Fall '11. He was instrumental in my decision to change my major from nursing to pre-med. he class is not easy at all, but he makes it as easy as possible to make an A!! Study the PTRs & his CD, and start memorizing the bones in the skull and all the mucles now!! He's the BEST!!

Professor Torres is one of the best professors I have had. He really wants to help his students learn and it makes a difference.

Take him while you can! Is he easy? No. Tons of memorization? Yes but that's the nature of this sort of class. We just have to memorize some of this & there's no way around it. He is reasonable, tells you what you need to know for his tests, tons of extra cred opportunities. If it comes with a few corny jokes, I'll gladly take it over a jerk.
