i have this guy t/tr now in the fall and all i think about in class is how much he reminds me of the guy from jarassic park and the lead singer of weezer but hes a cool dude

He is a hard grader but he is a nice guy and really hot too. I liked his class he wasn't boring and was nice to look at

i had him during the fall of 04, he isnt a hard teacher, his grading is fair, just dont slack and you'll pass, and hes has a personality so u wont be bored

He made the class hard and he wasn't always the most interesting but you aren't going leave class not knowing anything. You are going to learn and he is very easy on the eyes too.

Oh my God Dr. Fierro IS SOOOOOO HOTT!!!! It was completely easy to go to his class on time every day....I still see him all the time and I wish I could take more classes with him he is a really great instructor and completely fair...I probably will just to look at him even if I dont need the class:)

Fierro is an awesome dude, he is a good teacher, he made me interested in him, and pretty much every girl I talked to thought he was hot ass. There was a hot girl in my class with light blonde hair, also.

He's kind of tough grading wise and mixes up important info at times. But he makes History really interesting and all in all is a good teacher....And yes, he is REALLY HOT!!! I don't think I missed one class with him.

Sorry Raffy I won't rate u as hot like all the little girls in your classes. In all seriousness he is one of the best proffesors of history u can have at tunxis along with bob brown. A must take teacher if u really desire to learn in a clear educational enviorment. The trip to D.C. was the highlight of this wonderful class. he will also make time.

Dr. Fierro has to be the best teacher I have ever had. He talks about the subject with such passion, and the way he puts the information out in class, makes you want to learn it. It also helps that he is very good looking. I really enjoyed his class, and I took another one with him.

Dr. Fierro is a good teacher and makes history more interesting. He's not an easy grader but if you put the effort he expects than you'll do fine. He's young and has a cool personality.

you have to write 2 five page papers and midterm and final are in essay form , but he gives you the questions before time. He is good looking and nice.

Great lectures and extremely quick to respond with Email, phone calls. Can take a joke and dish one as well.

Tries his hardest, although sometimes can be tough on papers. Clarity varies from class to class, however things do pick up once he gets to know the students better. Also a smart aleck with some students that give it to him.

Great teacher...I never liked history classes, but he made them fun and very educational...I learned a lot in his class and got a B+ without really trying that hard!!

Wow, I had no idea Dr. F. had such a following...well deserved though. He has an extensive vocabulary and he means what he sais and sais what he means. That's rare.

Fierro is a really great teacher, and I find him to be extremely intelligent. However, I do feel like he's a very difficult grader on most assignments/exams. Take excellent notes, read the book, and study often and you will do decently well.

Dr. Fierro gives lectures that you will actually enjoy listening to.

What can get better, a sexy teacher, who encourages class discussion and gives me good grades!!! Enough said, this man is a GREAT teacher. It has been proven students pay more attention to attractive teachers, you will learn in his class!!!

Great Professor!!!!

This professor is very interactive with students and very respectful towards others. He teaches the class well and always helps students. I highly recommend taking him for any history class he teaches.

Demanding but fair. Always available for help of any kind. Holds a high bar in general - for essays, rates quality of writing as much as knowledge of content. Demands synthesis of facts into original ideas. Assigns heavy reading and uses it. Exams: gives 6 essays to study then picks 2 on exam day. Forced learning. One of my favorite teachers ever.

He's a wonderful teacher. The subject matter could be dry but he lectures like he's telling a story. History isn't really my thing but he kept it interesting. It's alot of writing but the school offers a great deal of help in that area if it's not your thing.

Best history professor I've had at Tunxis! He always makes sure that the student is getting the information and conducts the class well. He is a nice guy and very easy to get along with in class. It is why to this day I consider Dr. Fierro my hero.

Best teacher i ever had, take his class and you will come out smarter. He's "easy" because he actually teachs and helps students learn. go in and pay attention and it will be worth it. Dont go in expecting an easy A though you do have to work for it

This is easily the best professor at Tunxis that I have had, at least. His teaching method is superior and his lectures are rather captivating. Unlike others, he's able to transfer his knowledge to others with clarity. He's a tough grader, but fair. Pay attention and do the required reading.

He is an awesome teacher to have!! If you want a teacher that really knows what they are talking about and are passionate about what they teach, take one of his classes. I had him for a Constitution class and American Govt. Loved having both times!

I atucully enjoyed going to class. Had him for 2 differnt classes. He might be a hard grader,but at the same time he challanges you.Usually classes become very disscusion based. If you have an open mind,or want to learn something about USA goverment,take him.

Great history professor. A slightly tough professor if you are a typical Tunxis slacker. If you have any drive as a student, he is an amazig professor. Very clear, helpful, and wants his students to succeed. Responds to emails quickly. Requires alot of reading, all reading is online. His class is the first time I have ever found History interesting

Interesting class. VERY hard grader, you will need to study!! Mid-term and final are essay & short answer. No book, only online sources given. Took him for two classes because he is a good lecturer. Hot for a teacher, came to class one day in a tight v-neck and jeans, he takes good care of himself.

He is a very hard grader. I'm not into history one bit but he does have a sense of humor. Assigns a lot of reading but his work isn't unreasonable. He talks majority of the time so you'll need great listening skills.Overall good professor.

Great History teacher, lectures are very interesting and not at all boring. Took a 5 week summer class and enjoyed it.

Dr. Fierro may seem like a hard grader, BUT, he is helpful, clear and will do everything to help you succeed. Paper reqs are clear, and the same goes for the midterm and final exams. Come to every class, write plenty of notes, and ask questions. Laziness doesn't fly in any classm so work hard and you will be fine!

VERY hard grader. You don't use textbooks, just online sources he posts on his own personal diigo website. The class is pure lecture, so you need to pay attention and take a lot of notes. I struggled all throughout the class, and even failed my midterm when I'm usually a A+ student.

Dr. Fierro is beyond excellent. He is down to earth, and lectures in a way that is understandable and easy to memorize. Yes, you do have to come to class to not miss out on important lectures, and write plenty of notes, because you will need them for your midterm and final, but if you do the work, you can't fail!

Dr. Fierro is a difficult grader, but it forces you to give your best. I learned more from his class then from my three other classes taken last semester. I look forward to more of his classes in the future.

Participate in class, and if you are not necessarily interested in politics, study! If you are good at creating papers that can articulate points well, this should be an easy class, if not, you will have to work for it a little more. BEST PART: NO TEXTBOOK NEEDED, he supplies you with sources for all of your work.

Here's a guy who knows what hes teaching about and loves teaching it. He lectures the whole class and is spot on with his time frames. That being said, his class was not easy. He's firm, but fair. Don't miss a class and pay attention. He delivers his lectures in a way that makes everything interesting. I'm taking him again this year.

One of the best history classes that I have ever taken. I look forward to taking courses again from this professor whenever possible. I was able to learn and gain knowledge easily through the lectures and readings. Overall great professor.

Professor Fierro is by far my favorite professor, I can not wait to take another one of his classes again next semester. I was not excited about taking this class until I went the first day. He is very smart and his lectures are not boring. He makes learning about history fun. Pay attention to the lectures and take notes, you should have no problem

He does have textbooks for most of his classes, he provides a FREE Website with all the reading materials that you need. If you ask, or show up on office hours, he is ALWAYS willing to help and answer questions.

He was one of the best professors I have ever had. Very easy going. Posted all the reading online which was written directly by him. Every lecture was fun and entertaining and I learned so much. The papers he assigned were a blast. Only drawback is his exams.

Jesus does this man know how to speak. Dr Fierro is quite possibly one of the best teachers I've ever had. He's well-read, super intelligent, and just legendary - as easily seen from his lecturing. The low amount of grading in the class is a bit unforgiving, but his advice shows he wants everyone to get good grades. Would take a bullet for this man

Hands down the best history teacher. He explains himself SO well that actually makes you understand, and actually want to listen. I went into this class not knowing much about history and I left with a B in the class and knowing a ton of information! Quizzes throughout the semester mid term and final. Highly recommend him!

If you want to learn history, Fierro's the guy. He shows a little bit of bias in his perspective though. You need to go to class, and BE ON TIME. Citations are important in his papers. Make sure you quote and appropriately cite his own textbook too. I suggest you meet with him a good while before a paper's due date to discuss the topic.

The tests were between too easy and too hard, if you read, do your homework, go to class, and take notes you will pass. The final essay was a cool opportunity. he is the best Professor I have ever had at Tunxis and his class is my favorite.

Professor Fierro is amazing!! There's 6 discussions you have to participate in, and only two papers. Keep up with the chapters, take notes and you'll pass with an easy A! The book is free online because Professor Fierro wrote it. He is so nice, always gives feedback, submit your papers early and he'll tell you what to fix to get a better grade!

He is a good Professor, you will have to show that you want to learn, you also have to put in effort in order to pass the class. He takes his class very seriously like every Professor should. He stays very unbias but will play devils advocate to show the opposite person perspectives viewpoint on the subject matter. Have to be on time to class.

Professor Fierro is a good professor who has engaging lectures and cares about his topic. If you like history you should take him. Participation was 10% of the grade and the rest of the grade was based on 2 essays and a midterm and final each of which featured two essays written during the exam period in class.

Really wish I didn't squander my college opportunity so much grade wise, but Professor Fierro's lectures were some of the best moments of my entire education.

professor fierro makes everything cut and clear in his class. you are expected to read the materials he posts online, but no textbook is needed. his lectures could not be more clear, and he grades normally not too tough.

I took U.S History 2 online with Prof Fierro and it was super easy and simple. All your exams are written questions, you will also have a few papers to write which are super easy and interesting topics. He also throws in a few discussion board questions every other week which of course are very interesting! He is a great professor!

His lectures are NOT for everyone. Be ready to read the textbook (which he provides for free) and get ready to listen! If you like to take notes and can write a good essay, this ones for you. BUT the midterm and final are very time consuming and you NEED the knowledge from lectures to be able to succeed. :) I totally recommend this class!

Dr. Fierro is a great teacher who cares about his students. This guy literally wrote a history textbook so we wouldn't have to buy one. Apart from that, he's a good lecturer and makes the lectures interesting to listen to. He's a bit unclear on what exactly he wants on essays sometimes, but he also lets you send them in so he can critique drafts.

Really fun professor to have, he made the class genuinely enjoyable and was clearly passionate about the material. He does a lot of lectures so missing a class could be really detrimental but as long as you do the readings it's ok. There isn't much graded work involved with the class but the assignments take awhile to get done.

Professor Rafaele Fierro is an engaging and dynamic lecturer who captures the attention of his students with his insightful commentary and thought-provoking ideas. However, it is worth noting that his classes rely heavily on lectures, which may not be suitable for all learning styles. Regardless, this professor is extremely fair and enjoyable!

Awesome teacher! His lectures were so easy to follow along and were very interesting. His style of teaching was very enjoyable and he always was engaging with the class. He respected every question and put a lot of passion to answering. He cared about his students!

One of the best history professors I've had. He has amazing lectures but taking notes was key. Barely any homework except two essay assignments. Exams were huge and were mainly essay based. Definitley difficult to study for but I passed his class with an A+ If you don't attend lectures do not take his class, he is adamant on attendance.
