Good professor, explains the lectures clearly and good organized. The exam problems are related to what you have learnt in class and the homework.

I took my undergrad at CCNY, came back for my master's and this professors is the best in the department. Super knowledgeable, great lecturer, very considerate, and always available. This class completely changed my mind about computational method and it's application in Civil engineering. I learned a lot and find it very interesting.

Was my first lecturer in my Masters program at CCNY and he immediately reminded me of some of the best teachers I've ever had. Clearly a brilliant man with an amazing wealth of experience and knowledge. CCNY should bring him on full time if they can afford him.

If you want to talk to a genius in a Civil Engineering , then Prof. AL Suhili is one of them. I have worked 15 years in various constructions projects and we faced so many challenges. Many times , Prof. AL Suhili was our savior. He creates a mission team amazingly and professionally leads them. I consider a course he teaches as a masterpiece.

He is very clear with his expectations and is very accessible. It's still math, so it's hard, but if you put in the time and do all the homework and study the lectures you can't do poorly.

I loved this professor. He is just so good and knowledgeable, plus is always willing to help and explain anything that you didn't understand in class. He is the best professor in the Civil Engineering department. Just do your home work properly and that's it. You get good marks in the mid term and final exam. Even he will help you to solve home works. He is always available to help you at his office. He will give you another chance if you get poor score in the mid term exam. Explain nicely.

I wish this guy taught more classes period. One of the best I've had in the CE department, wants students to do well and learn at the same time (yes really)! Was skeptical at first since I think it's his first time teaching at this school but I'm ssosososo happy I had the opportunity to learn from him. Inspirational and his door is always open!!

The professor is one of the best professors I had so far in this department. I really wished he also teaches other CE courses. He will help his students and the students from other classes on the material. His notes are really organized. He is interested whether you follow the material. He should be a full time professor and not an adjunct.

I am currently taking senior design with this professor and he is such a good fit for this class. He talks to us as engineers and shares with us all his class related experience to have a perfect transition from college to engineer. Very clear and always helpful with students if there is any confusion. Would definitely recommend to take his class.

Great Professor of fluid mechanics, but I would recommend him for any class. He is very helpful outside of class, attendance is not enforce but I would recommend going to class since he gives great lectures. His exams are fair, my only recommendation to doing well in his class is to stay on top of the course material by doing your homework.

Without a doubt, the best professor I've taken! His lectures are all you need to know do well in his class! His exams aren't that difficult, but he doesn't give much partial credit. But he allows for extra credit which add on to your test score. Just study from his lecture notes and go to his office if you have any questions!!!

Many professors are knowledgeable, but not all professor know how to convey that knowledge. Professor Suhili is not only well versed in civil engineering topics, but is MEANT to teach. I took CE H1000 with him. Lecture is full of material, fast paced and make sure you know your calculus, because it only gets tougher as the semester moves forward. He takes time to thoroughly explain, gives fair exams with some tricky questions, which is fair. At the end of the semester, you have a chance for a nice grade boost if necessary.

This professor is awesome! He is very knowledgeable and helpful. He makes sure students understand and explains the topic in different ways if needed. He's available outside class. He gives you opportunities and take the time to explain and help you with the material, but You have to work hard; if you want a A, you have to earn it.

Professor Suhili is hands down the best professor I've had for any class in college. He truly cares for his students and shows that by making sure every student can understand the material, either through repeating what he's taught or in office hours. A great thing about this professor is that he gives a copy of his lecture so you can follow along while taking minimal notes. However, I wish he would correct all of the typos in the lectures. One of the best Professors in CCNY. He teaches very clearly and doesn't move on until everyone understands(very engaging). Exams are very fair. If you do the HW and study from the resources he provides you with, you should do well. Available outside of class. Most Importantly you finish the semester with a GREAT foundation

He will help your grade in anyway possible if you prove you know the material, despite past tests. The material is simple, but practice. Don't take notes, he makes them for you. He prefers students' attention and input during the lecture, and the way he teaches is so clear and dumbed down you don't need a textbook. Its impossible to not like him.

I've been at Lagcc for 2 years now and I've never had a prof give so much attention to each individual student. He's understanding and caring. He gives so much extra to make sure you pass. The class is a lot of work but he helps you so much. Take him you won't regret it. He uses his own time to come to Lag just to inform you of your grade.

Ce509 needs a prof like Suhili , the course cover everything about civil Engineering, transportation, structures, and environmental. During the course I was surprised by the knowledge he has on every aspect , he jump between the students groups explain all from his mind knowledge in transportation, structures, and environmental topics , amazing.

Professor Suhili is a great person with a great personality, and an amazing teacher, probably the best in CCNY ive ever had. However, it is statics, and he makes the exams extremely hard, it will be nothing like the reviews. However, he is more preferred that the other statics profs because they can't teach. Some semesters harder than others.

This guy can really teach everything. Very likable and respectful, mentor qualities. Class is a lot of material so just keep up with lectures and practice problems. He's not the most organized person which may irritate some people. A lot of group work involved from the labs to the projects. Overall one of the best professors in the CE dept.

Professor Rafea Al Suhili is one of the best CE professors, that the department should be proud of. His ability to help you with any subject is astonishing. He understands that he is teaching young engineers and not PHD candidates. Must attend his lectures, do all assignments, and study well. He does not appreciate slackers, nor should you be one!

The content of this course I found very difficult and Suhili is not here to let you slack off. That said, he is a great lecturer, makes the material as clear as one could even though there is a ton of it. His exams are difficult and he's a harsh grader. Participate and show you care and review textbook questions after every lecture.
