He's a good teacher. But a total math Nazi. Only take this class if you plan to be in class everyday and do all your work.

Ha Ha Ha! You can't get Grade'A' in his class easily.Do assignments a lot and homework. But he teaches so clearly.Very nice teaching.I strongly recommend this class if you want to do well.

He is the math wizard. Hard but very very clear lectures. You really need to think out of the box on his tests. An A is so hard to get in his class.
awesome teacher
He gives great leactures, but doesn't allow the use calculators in his class.
BEST MATH TEACHER EVER!!!!!! if you want to learn take his class but be ready to work. Explains concepts thoroughly, just dont ask stupid questions and don't try to be smartass like KY.
stupid guy is teaching stupid class. he believes only he is smart on the world. if you take his class, he will make you buy a $100 calculator.
He is a great math instructor, you'll be breathing and dreaming math. Keep up with the homework and study for those tests.
This teacher thinks his class is the only class one is taking durimg the semester. Assigns no homework, but gives weekly quizzes that just make your heart beat faster. You got to be disciplined. Good instructor but teaches too fast.Wouldn't take again.

Rahim the leprechaun man who's world revolves around math. Do not take this cowboy because he will not make the math life easy. Extremely Fast, sentimental, blue book freak, goes by the rules, unless your a math major forget shorty!! Good lectures nothing, HE IS A DIFFICULT JERK !! OBSESSED W/MATH
Gives a lot of examples, and may sometimes answer your questions. Be that as it may, trigonometry is a complete nightmare with this guy as he goes completely fast in his lectures. expects you to get tutored instead of understanding the material off of him. That's what I got for $104, which he forgot
he'll break it down like james brown and work you're arse off like richard simmons. if your business isn't understanding math--you have no business there
In the class, it is obvious he has preference towards the students that understand math by seeing it as he lectures. He tends to put those who are slow aside and encourages you to drop. His lectures are not for the slow learner and leaves many things in doubt. A Terrible experience.
Very Smart and organized professor!! He knows how to make you work hard.I will take his class again!!!!!!!!!
a very passionate teacher, if you are looking for an easy-A class, DO NOT take this, he teaches very well, and gives less than average homework. But you will need to earn your grade mostly on quizzes and tests, which he shapes into a challenge. in conclusion, very professional, strict, and fair
i hated his class. i would avoid it.
he scares me and it could be possible that he may scare to death those people who aren't good in math. Those who are...hold on to your seats. You must be very disciplined or you'll fall behind. He forgets he is teaching at a JC, and will not be at all compassionate. A**-kissers love him.
I liked Rahim very much. He shows a genuine caring for how students do in his class. It almost even seems emotional. I did notice that he gets very upset when people are absent...its those who dont make any effort to do well in his classes that he seems to not be as compassionate toward. I Recommend
Rahim is very concerned about his students. He's a good teacher but he can be a little tough sometimes. He's not for the sensitive.

Trigonometry must be one his weakest points. He jumps around from topic to topic like a circus flea. For example from section 7.2, he went to 5.3 then to 8.1 etc. Being that the class is inundated with info, he adds more and more. Gives tons of h.w. before the exam. Trig graphs were messy/confusing.
Excellent teacher (if you try to learn your stuff). He is energetic and solves lots of problems in the class. Make sure you learn those problems well. I had Statistics with him for summer.
Rahim has lots of favoritism. I understand that he wants the success of his students, but one way to do this is to give you confidence and start out by feeding you "milk" and then to the solid food. In other words, he covers the material in such a difficult way, you can't help being fearful.
The fact that he solves tons of problems and in different ways overwhelms you. He doesn't stick to one particular way and it is very confusing. He acts like he is the greatest teacher in ELAC. He is not very motivating and sometimes makes you scared to go to class.
Good teaching qualities
RAHIM IS TOUGH AT THE BEGINNING BUT HE ONLY DOES THAT TO SCARE THE SLACKERS. HE GOES OVER THINGS ABOUT THREE TIMES TO MAKE SURE EVERYONE UNDERSTANDS. HIS TAKE HOME TESTS ARE VERY HELPFUL AND HE IS ALWAYS AVAILABLE FOR ANY QUESTIONS. HE ALWAYS GIVES BONUS POINTS--WHEN NEEDED.
The leprechaun of the math dept is to focused on his field. Overwhelms students with too much h.w. and difficult final exam. Unless your a math major do not take this S.O.B !!!
He teaches very well and explains everything good. He's funny at times but he is strict on his grading. I thought he was a good teacher. The only thing that made me hate him at the end was because he didn't pass me, I was one point away and the **** couldn't do anything for me to pass! just ONE point Away!!!! Very strict on his grading.
He's so nice:)
excellent teaching skills! Excellent notes. Struggling to win the lottery at one of Judge's classes? Forget it and take Rahim. He is very nice and is willing to help you out anytime. It seems he has an attitude problem but he only toughs up so that you can get off your a** and do some studying. Practice quizzes really help. Truly reccommend him.
one of a kind. You will learn to be disciplined. He is one of the best teachers (but no the only one) in the math dept. You must write notes worthy of biblical scribe to pass with a good grade. Hardly relies on the book, so a class missed may affect your grade since you'll be behind. He is a good teacher and he knows it too.
He is one of the best teachers I had ever had and made stats easier to bare in the summer. If you take good notes and do all the homework you should be fine. The exams are based 90% on notes and 10% from homework/quizes. But your TI-83 is what can make a difference in his stats class between an A or B. Great teacher and always willing to help.
Stats is one of the easiest math classes you will ever encounter, but Rahim makes it much easier! He is very helpful. Using a TI-83 in the class may seem a bit intimidating at first, but you'll get used to it if you practice. I'm glad i took him.
Calc III over the summer Couldn't have passed without him. Great teacher, always in his office to help. Extremely Patient, the homework is hard, thats a good thing, cause it makes the test questions easier. The tests aint easy, but they are fair, and if you understand the material and work hard then you can get A.
Rahim is straightforward. He has no time for lecturing his students on ethics. He walks in the classroom 1st day of class, opens his book, and starts lecturing. Rahim also gives his own problems aside from the book. He makes you think like a mathematician. He is very systematic. If you are not learning in his class, you have a problem.

This guy awesome! You will learn Math the right way! He simplifies the topic as much as possible for you to understand. It's quite depressing to see someone who took Rahim rate him without grounds. If you do not understand Rahim, then boy, you need to go to the Educational Disabilities center and get yourself checked. Faradineh is quite the best.
I always had problem with math until I took his courses. He takes you step by step, if you have problems understanding math this is the professor to take.
He is why ELAC has the top math dept. He knows how to teach. Gets mad if you don't do good, and I would too if I was a teacher. He is very thorough. And be prepared to be organized and dedicated because he does not really assing homewrok that much. Rahim deserves to be more than just a teacher at ELAC.
What a 100% great teacher he is! He never be hash to us, and he let us to choose the test date, and i like what he did was the sample exam. It gave you a clue of what will be like in the real test, and he'll help you out with it; you can have a great preparation of the test, and have higher chance to have a better grade.
I've also been afraid of math, but after taking math with this prof. I find myself missing math. He was so helpful I would recomend anyone to take a math class with Mr. Faradineh.
Excellent teacher, good math examples. very clear writing. He does give out too much HW. I got "A" on both classes. He likes to joke around. I highly recomend him to anyone.
The best math teacher i have taken. He always reviews tests and is very clear as to what will be on it. He also reviews the final and is very flexible with test dates and times. I would highly recommend him to anyone who is afraid of math. You will definitely learn and like this teacher and his way of teaching.
hes ok professor. He's nice, but you got to do the homework and ask question. Good professor, Do recomend if u need help with math
Great teacher! Very helpful and willing to answer question. However if u mess around he will call u on that. Very big on attendance. If you go to class everyday and study some you'll do fine.
awesome proffesor!!! very helpful, has a lot of patience, Looking for a proffesor that actually cares...take him!!
I believe this man is the best mathematical instructor this college has ever had. If you want to learn your math, he teaches step by step. He is difficult, but only because he wants you to be good at math. He is definitely way better than Siswanto, no comparison.
This guy is good. He knows how to teach in a way that is clear to me. He's got a different sense of humor, but I guess it makes the class a little bit more interesting. Thank god for Faradineh because if it wasn't for him I wouldnt of even been able to take math 115, no thanks to punk kazimir.
i took this man for cal 2 and 3 and he is way too hard, espcially sumer. i do not recomend yu tak him in the sumer if you are not good at math because he throws a lot of curb balls. i can say that about any math class at 5 or 10 weeks but if you do not feel comofortable at basic math steps, be ready to be humiliated. Tests not easy.
Excellent Math Professor!! This is the type of professor that we need in all the schools. Mr. Faradineh is a very helpful teacher, he even offers himself to go to school on Sundays to help out if you are having any trouble. This is not an essay A class, you have to work hard to earn an A. "IF YOU WANT TO LEARN SOMETHING TAKE HIM IF NOT DONT"
Mr. Faradineh is a passionate teacher willing to help students. He offers his own time to help you, and he helps reviews for tests. Even though you must complete your homework and do moderately good in your quizzes and tests to acquire a decent grade, it is worth doing all the work because you learn loads. I highly recommend him!
highly recomended, very smart and gives good notes. FYI - he hates the Lakers.
Mr. Faradineh indisputably is a great teacher. Devoted to his teaching he assures that his students understand the subject and with a good sense of humor makes time fly. A good and skillful teacher as Mr. Faradineh should be considered for any Math class he is available to teach. Highly Recommend Him.
He is the BEST math teacher!!!
The class stats is easy, but since i took this in winter you have to be dedicated and never show up late. But he is a good teacher and is willing to give you a lot of help
He is very clear. Explains everything. Kinda funny. I want to take him again but his classes are kinda super early. He takes his job seriously and does care about students but can't help you if you don' care yourself. I always wanted to laugh cause his name reminded me of rakim y ken-y. You should definitely take this teacher!
This proffessor is so cool and easy. He explains his lectures clear and understandable. Recommend to take him...
Excellent math professor. You can understand his notes and good teaching quality. I recommend him.
good notes, easy to understand. if you want to learn and want to earn a good grade take him... you wont regret it.
Wonderful teacher and crystal clear lectures. Try to figure out examples that he give you in class instead of waiting for him to give answers. He assigns homeworks very regularly, which is good because math is all about practice. I enjoyed the fact that he had us do computer based math project and I learned a lot from him. Just work hard, and get A.
Teaches very clearly, always there to answer questions in office hours. Make sure to always show up for class and do your homework though.
He likes the Celtics. Be sure to show Laker pride. Go Lakers! Great professor, jokes around, teaches at a very simple and slow but steady pace. Homework is like 10-15 problems, so it's kind of easy. His tests are similar to the sample exams he gives you. Ask him for help. Should be easy A if you're a good student.
His class is pretty easy for me iam going to take him in the spring again so i liked it
He was a really good teacher in my opinion and the class was easy. You dont need to buy a math book for this class because all the hw is online but its pretty easy. You can use your notes on the quizzes. He is really strict with attendance and tardies though. But I recommend him!
If your not good at math DO NOT TAKE HIS CLASS. His test are tricky and gives a lot of homework. He gets mad when someone repeats the same question. wont take the time to explain to you the problem unless you visit him during office hours. the only good thing is he lets you use a calculator for the test and quiz.
mr feradineh is an average teacher with attitude. dont take him if u are not good at math because his tests are hard, and he likes to surprise people on tests. one bad thing about him is that his explainations bad, he doesn't know how to teach math in a better way; u only know the facts instead of understanding it. i would recommend other profs
great teacher you really have to pay attention in class do hw, test, quizzes and you will be fine eassssy A if you participate
he is a good teacher, he makes himself available for help, he is clear on note giving, although he gets frustrated when you are absent to much. or when the class is not devoted enough. his notes are similar to quiz problems, his test are not hard, but u need to study. not an easy A, but if u do homework, bluebooks, tests should be easy. :D
Rahim is the best math teacher i've had so far. i have never been great in math, and with his lectures and the online program used for class, it has helped me pass with an excellent grade. To top it off, he is very organized and you will always be able to view your grade online. Don't be late, Dont miss class or he will get on your a**!
I love him, really helped me a lot. Despite him being foreign you can actually understand him and his teaching method awesome! I recommend him!
very helpful teacher that seems mean at first but gradually warms up to the class very helpful and sometimes funny.DONT USE YOUR CELL PHONE IN CLASS OR ELSE.
I took math 260, 261, 262, & 263 with Rahim before transferring to university. I have to say he is NOT as difficult as professors @ the University Level. As long as you do the homework & ask questions in class you will do well. He makes a great effort for you to understand the material. If you are eng. or math major its a + to take this prof.
best teacher ever makes u want to learn i wish more teachers were like him
very hard to pass. A lot of homework and always in a bad move. He is mean and he will yell at you. worst semester of my life
awesome, no bs instructor. hes a little moody, but only cause he wants everyone to learn the material and succeed in his class. he goes out of his way to assist struggling students, and really cares about class performance. i respect this man tremendously.
The material is pretty easy but he does give alot of homework. Overall i think he is great teacher, he is very helpfull and clear with his material. If your lazy and want an easy A don't take him but if your looking to learn he is the best Stat Prof. around.
GREAT INSTRUCTOR!!! A LOT OF H/W BUT THE MATERIAL IS NOT HARD IF YOU PAY ATTENTION. HE GETS REALLY UPSET WHEN STUDENTS COME LATE TO CLASS.
what are you guys talk about. thats the worst proffesor you cant ever had. always in a bad mood. he yells at you if you are late. and you going to have no life with so much homework. dont take him.
He is the worst teacher. Always on a bad mood and expect for everybody to be there on time. i dont recomend this teacher he dont like answering question when he suppose too. he is the worst teacher.
Loved him so much took him for Math 112,115,125,227
Really good teacher. He teaches the material very well. I also enjoyed homwork assignments and quizes because they were done online. Math isn't my favorite subject and sometimes it can be rather difficult and confusing but he helps you to understand it. Attendance and being on time is very important. Take him!!
beware of teacher if u cant handle trash talk,or criticism.he offers help, but will get pissed when u ask for it.he also wont let u explain ur self, just will rush u to hurry up.very contradictive.it makes you not wanna even ask for it. dont get me wrong tho,he does wanna help, but has the wrong approach. he will make the class suffer if people slack
His class was very helpful, I loved it. You do not use the book at all, theres online hw which is real easy because its mulltiple choice. make sure you take GOOD notes because they are very handy with quizes and tests. As long as you have good notes and study them to know the material you'll do great. He is strict also, but just try ur best
This teacher is really good. I had him at 5am daily and he made sure everyone was awake and learning. He's stern and kind. Make sure you stay on top. I dropped the ball with my school work for about two weeks but, because of his Friday study sessions I was able to bounce back. Please try not to fall behind and do your homework! Only the strong survive.
He is one of the best math teachers! You just need to review your notes then it'll be fine, coz quiz and exam questions are similar. If you have any problem, go ahead to ask him! He would make sure everyone also understand what he said.Recommended!!
GREAT INSTRUCTOR, VERY STRICT SO IF YOUR LAZZY DONT TAKE IT. YOU ACTUALLY DO LEARN IN THIS CLASS. DISCIPLINE IS THE KEY IN HIS CLASS
Really great professor. Works hard to make sure students are interested and does not give room to slack. Funny and no nonsense. Cares a lot about teaching and I highly recommend him. Teaches with clarity. Lots of work, but possibly the best math teacher I've ever had.
(honest review)good guy but has an attitude that causes students to keep questions to themselves.class would do alot better if people could ask ques,no matter how dumb,w/out being ridiculed.ive heard a num of students say they r confused but scared to ask ques. very sad.
like most of these math teachers, he gets very mad if you dont understand the work, like if you should just know. if students knew the math then obviously they wouldnt be taking the class. right? we should do a stat to see how many pass and fail, and go from good to bad. performance of the students reflects on the teacher. numbers dont lie.
one of the best math teachers at ELAC. he is very strict though. he hates lazy people (eventually they will drop anyways). Took him for math 115 and 125, hw is online and very easy (it's a lot though). Looking forward to his calculus class next semester =]
Professor was really understandable. took his online course and if you attend all his lectures you will pass. I messed up on the first and second test when i did not attend his lecture, however the last three tests i passed with high scores. very happy with my grade.
He is a great teacher. Do not take if you plan on being lazy and not completing homework. He knows how to explain in a way that is clear and concise. Loved him!
dont ever be angry at him if he embarrases you or gets angry with you. He is only trying to teach you life lessons and discipline you. If youre dedicated, do your work, and study youll be fine. Rahim is by far the best professor ive had at elac. We need more professors like him. Hes def passionate for his work and students success! keep it up rahim
Great teacher and will teach you step-by-step. Do not be late to class bc he will call you out. He will show you how to use ti83 or 84 step-by-step. If you're not great at math, take Mr. Rahim. His class is fun, challenging, and helpful. Highly recommended.
You don't need to buy the book because he goes by the examples from the book anyways. He makes really rude comments but to him, it's funny. His humor is interesting. ALOT of homework online and its ridiculous to do. From a class of 50 and now down to a class of 15. Do not take in the evening. Boring, quiet, and you do not want to be there at all!
He is a very good professor!!
Straight forward proffesor. Gets to the point and moves on. Quizzes very similar to notes. As he says..."If your not going to do the Homework...GET THE HELL OUT!" lol. And trueee it is! DO the homework there is no other way to get better at Calculus! You dont need luck! You need dedication and hard work! Dont give up!
ok so this is my second time commenting on this professor lol. he IS the best professor at ELAC... I have had him for 4 classes and gonna take his linear algebra class this fall... I strongly recommend him for hardworking students that want to learn =] if ur lazy do not take him... he will make ur life miserable if ur lazy
ok so this is my second time commenting on this professor lol. he IS the best professor at ELAC... I have had him for 4 classes and gonna take his linear algebra class this fall... He is a very good teacher.
He is a very nice and good teacher.
he is a really great teacher. may seem intimidating at first but hes not. he recommends attending office hours and is very helpful. he has a great method of teaching. im bad at math and i passed with a b. hes really great and i def recommend him!!!
Best professor ever. You will definitely know the material even though his class requires a lot of work & it is challenging.
He is the best math teacher ever. He is very dedicated and passionate about his work and he will make sure you understand the material. He takes special interest in his students to become good in math but in life as well.I took his class at 5:45 am and was definitely worth,I recovered my love for math.
Hate math but was very impressed with his dedication to the class and to his students. He does every thing he can to help students understand the material.
He is an excellent professor. His writing is so clear and understandable. An amazing teacher, he will do anything to make you understand the material. You must definitely do homework to be successful in class. With respect and quizzes, he is straight forward. He may give extra credit if you are doing poorly.
He reminded me what it means to helps others again. He was one of the best professors that i ever took, but still need to study a lot and hard to know the material well. This class is not a walk in the park, but he taught it where we could understand. Be on time if not it wont be pretty. Nicest guy you will ever meet if you dont get on his bad side
I strongly recommend you to take Rahims's math classes. He is very excited about his subject and eager to help you develop your knowledge of his discipline. Once you are in his class, you'll force yourself to get a "A"; otherwise, you'll be very sorry about yourself because he is such a great math teacher you ever never have at ELAC!
best teacher ever!one of my favorite math teacher!
this is a good teacher he is very educated in his teachings he is very rude very very rude. he constantly threatens students that he'll drop them. more discouraging instead of encouraging. he is impatient and doesn't listen to his students concerns. tries to put people down and degrade them. but you will learn. a lot. and youll pass. EXTREMELY RUDE
Overall, a great professor. If you want to learn a great deal about statistics, I recommend him. He explains ever concept and formula without making it too confusing, but if you don't meet him halfway, don't expect leniency, or a good grade.
math 227. Good professor, He wants to commitment on his class, online HW is required, If you are lazy don't take him, i really recommend this teacher to serious student college that want to succeed..
He is one of the best professors I ever met in Elac.He helps students a lot and wants them to excel in their studies. His class is fun and you will learn and love mathematics by taking his class.
He has a great teaching method, willing to help out students a lot. Crystal clear lecturer. He only gets upset when students don't show the same amount of effort he puts in. He is great and i recommend him especially if you're not the best at math.
Took Professor Rahim for Winter session for Math 227, Statistics. His class kicked my butt and although he can be very strict and rude most of the time, I can say I learned a lot in his class. Never met a professor who was so dedicated to math like he was. Got a B in the course and math is my weakness! take him but be prepared to work you but off!
Best teacher ever!!!! He know what he is teaching , his question is straight forward, the key to get A is taking note and do the homework, sometime the test is open book
This is the only teacher that i can truly say that cares for his students, even if he comes off as a rude teacher. Yes he will scream at you if you miss class, but the guy knows his subject i highly recommend him.
Best proofesor ever, im currently taking his 125 math class, so far getting an A :) i had him for 115 and his teaching quality is awesome, i recomend students to take rahim, butif u dont like to do onli HW then your not gonna be on his good side. good luck to everyone on your studies :)
Had him for online class spring and this class will really kick your butt! Be prepared for a lot of homeowrk weekly lecture quizes and tests. If you're good at math take him online if not take him inside of clasroom because his lectures are what really prepare you for his tests! online class requires friday night class and you must attend!
Take him, just go to class. If you plan on slacking around, skipping a few classes, you won't make it. His quizzes and tests are based on his lectures. Great guy, very reasonable and explains VERY CLEARLY, which is a rarity nowadays in Math. All you have to do is GO to every lecture, take good notes, do all the required work and you'll pass.
good teacher, but you have to be ready for class, don't be late or have any attitude. if you do he will get on you
I took his online class- Friday 6pm- 8 pm mandatory class - don't be late, take good notes, he can be rube, if you are late or doing anything else during his class-pay full attention, he explains everything very clearly. Tests are basically from his lecture notes and quizzes.
Mr. Faradineh is just amazing! He is a really good teacher! if you respect him, he'l respect you back. Attendance is mandatory, take good notes and just take his class seriously. All his homework is online but it's easy and helpful! Take him before any other teacher! AND his english is understandable!
I am an older student and I actually enjoyed his class and his teaching ability. You must come to class, be ontime and do the online homework. He answers all questions, but he is not for any foolishness or disrepect. He is one teacher that cares about his students learning. I highly recommend him.
Honestly, this man is genuine, and will ultimately spark your interest in a clandestine subject of mathematics. Not only is he able to keep your attention by being humorous, but he'll also call you out if you aren't keeping up with the curriculum. If you're discouraged about math, take Rahim with determination, and he'll rekindle your love for math
If you wanna take math class take him. He will teach with passion. But you have to have perfect attendence also you will have lots of work!!
he could be rude if student made any mistakes, like be late in class or missed homework. he teach clearly, steps by steps. Take his class if you wanna learn something about 227.BTW, students may be given many homewrok.
Very clear explanations and wants his students to do well. If not serious, don't take him. Excessive homework but it gives a chance to improve your grade and learn the material. He may scold you if you're late or don't care about your own success, because he does care. He is available for help. Math isn't so scary now.
As long as you do your work and ask for help,or participate in class, he will help you :) DO NOT BE LATE TO HIS CLASS.
[It ain't easy.] This man keeps it real. Knows what he's talking about. Helps after class and during office hours. Gets frustrated at times (like all prof) and "lets his red pen do the talking", but it's all in tough love. =] All in all, I've learned a lot thanks to his style of teaching and would recommend him in a heartbeat. =] Good luck!
Best math teacher ever. At first I was intimidated, but there was no tricks or surprises with this teacher he taught you everything and made sure everyone was prepared for what was coming up. Yes lots of class/hw, but he really goes over everything and he truly wants his students to succeed. If you put in the work you'll pass.
GREAT professor. Makes everything really clear and understandable. Lots of repetition of easier equations which allows you to be able to fully grasp concept. DONT BE LATE.
Strict when it comes to deadlines and being on time is a musT!! Serious about school. He does have a sense of humor and cares about his students alot. WANT help?you MUST go up to him. HE will not baby his students BUT if you put in EFFORT then he will definitely be there to help. Go to his office hours and seek help. great instructor!!
He was a great teacher..this coming from a person who HATES math. He was very clean about everything, yes he's strict but he's an AMAZING professor. only take his class if you're serious
Great professor, do online HW, attend class, study and you will get an A. Very strict, but he simply raises your expectations of what a professor should be like.
Best teacher I've met. If your not serious about school he WILL kick you out of his class. But if you do your work he's great. As long as you keep up with the work his course isnt that hard. Explains everything very well and is willing to go the extra mile for any serious student during his office hours, just ask for help he will not say no.
Great Professor! Take his class seriously though, he will kick you out if you're not doing online hw and attending class. Besides that, he's very helpful and goes out of his way to help his students! Totally recommend him for statistics!
Faradineh is a great teacher. He will always help you if you need it. He explains the concepts very clearly in class, and the lecture quizzes and tests are all based on his lectures, so you can get a really good grade in his class as long as you pay attention.
Truly a Great educator, Crystal clear communicator, ability to communicate math information and instructions simply, cares about students and their ability to learn and retain, Full of insights and information , makes class a well rounded education, encouraging, inspiring. Great used of funds for students learning math.
GREAT PROFESSOR. His lectures are clear, he is very neat and punctual. And cares about his students. He only asks in return the same amount of effort that he gives to his students. His class is not necessarily easy to pass, wouldn't recommend taking Rahim if you plan on slacking off.
Honestly I completely misjudged him in the beginning. He comes out strong but after taking his class you will feel motivated. He takes his job really serious and makes sure his students learn the material. Here's a quote from him. "It was truly an honor to be part of your educational journey. Great job everybody, I can see the light now.
I took a hybrid class which was online and in class. All homework was done online. Buy MyMathLab on amazon, cheaper than bookstore. We met on Fridays from 6-8. Didn't need the book, his lectures were helpful. Let's you use cheat sheet during exams. Definitely recommend.
Faradineh is an excellent professor. I took his half semester class and it required so much work. You need to purchase MyMathLab. You don't really need the book. There are lecture quizzes you need to turn in daily and you need to stay on top of online hw. Exams are cumulative but you can use a cheat sheet. Best professor I've taken by far!
Great teacher but horrible attitude I WILL RECOMMEND TO DO ALL THE ONLINE H.W , PROJECTS, AND TAKE HOME QUIZES. He is very clear and if you plan on taking his class make sure you are serious otherwise he will put you on the spot in front of the WHOLE class.
Very fun and easy teacher, he is super clear and the homework he gives out are exactly what the tests and exams are like. He teaches everything without a textbook so it's not necessary to buy one, just the code for online hw. Everything he teaches you will be on the exams and homework so pay attention! And you get to have notes when you take exams.
VERY RUDE but is willing to help as long as you ask. if you do all HW & all practice quizzes you'll do fine (don't leave anything blank). does not take excuses & if he notices you are slacking off he will put you on the spot so be prepared. not a hard class if you put in slight effort.
Amazing professor, he demands you not only know how to get the right answer but he helps you UNDERSTAND the materials. I just wish he taught calc 2 for the spring. take him drop ur other classes quit ur job lol jk but I promise u wont regret it
I attended the hybrid class. Do not waste his time or he will get upset. Makes math understandable! Very very fair. HE WILL NOT CODDLE YOU. Attend every class or you will be confused. TESTS ARE NOTES BASED! I always took quick notes and rewrote it when I got home. Take this class to learn ^_^
I'm a 3.0+ ft student and I hate this class. He gives a ridiculous amount of hw & lecture quizzes! You do the work FIRST & then he TEACHES. The book is useless & the online hw doesn't help with the lecture quizzes! & the tests are cumulative! The avg grade is a C! So yea I can't wait for this class to be over with!
He's a great professor. He really cares about making sure you learn the material. He really pushes you to learn word problems and factoring. He collects homework and is just about always willing to help
Grumpy, goes fast pace.doesnt like to be asked what he had just covered. Gives alot of hw etc. Test are not easy ,but challengy.need to be there on time and everyday. Comes out hard in the beginning, but curves on grade.
Intelligence at it's best. Very motivational and understanding. Overall wonderful Professor!
Among the top professors ELAC has, he is dedicated and passionate about his work, and requires you to feel the same about his class. If you want an easy A do not take his class, if you want to shape up and need the discipline and actually understand math, this is the right class for you. PS. DO NOT, I REPEAT, DO NOT.. BE LATE
Great Professor. He's very helpful and cares about his students learning and passing his class. There were no test. Only all the assignments had to be completed by the end of the semester and with passing scores to get an A in the class.
This guy is pretty cool! He has a short temper, but just stay on his good side. He does require attendance and no tardies, he makes it very clear. His explains very well. His numerous projects can really help out your grade. They aren't hard, it's just that it's a lot of problems. Very good professor overall!
Great teacher even though his classes are a bit hard. His lectures are very clear easy to understand and he never skips steps, when he shows how to do a problem.
i really like him and i take him 262 too. the tests are not hard, but too much HW online. you dont need to buy the book and code for online HW. i took his 261 at summer and got A. but there are lots of pop quiz for 261.
Best math teacher i've had. You won't regret taking his courses.
His lectures consist of a bunch of examples that are helpful for exams. He has a short temper, but if you study and come to class, you won't have a problem. His tests are straightforward and he even tells you what to study. He sits one on one with you during office hours, VERY helpful. He's got a sense of humor. Wish he was teaching math 263.
Rahim is an amazing professor and dedicates a lot of his time and effort to his students in order for them to succeed. His lectures are clear and easy to understand. Make sure to take advantage of his extra tutoring online and do all the quizzes he hands out weekly. They will help you on the exam. He was one of the BEST math prof I've ever had.
I took his class over the Winter session so it was a month long and it was jam packed full of information. but gave us only the necessary information. Go to his class, take good notes, do the homework, study HARD! go over his practice problems and UNDERSTAND what you're doing. He had a recipe style approach, how easier can that be?!
Really easy, DO HW!! Tests and quizzes are exactly like the HW. Explains well, teaches what you need makes sure everyone understands before moving on. Took it Winter and thought it super easy. DONT be LATE, ABSENT, or MISS HW. Take if you're not good with math. Do hw and you will pass.
Honestly he puts up a front in the beginning to play hard ball with everyone. He is so caring deep down. I did really bad on almost 2 test out of 3. DO ALL THE HOMEWORK !!! I still passed with a C. So thankful he cares !!!! His lectures are not too clear although. I had to study study study.
Professor Faradineh is a great professor, he explains everything clearly, and test questions are straight from his class notes. To need to go class in order to understand. I got a B for missing 2 days, and could not catch up. I would retake him. He is the only math professor that I like his teaching style. Ask questions, if you don't understand.
he's a great, clear math professor, which is hard to find he goes over problems you dont understand until you understand the lesson or problem. do not talk during lecture, DO NOT BE LATE, DO NOT DO HOMEWORK MINUTES BEFORE CLASS OR IN CLASS, ASK HIM FOR HELP AND NOT ANOTHER STUDENT DURING CLASS, IF YOU HAVE A QUESTION ASK HE WILL ANSWER
Professor Rahim's teaching techniques are clear and informative. Pay close attention to his lectures for that is what is covered on his tests. He makes it easy for anyone to understand math. I wish I could take him for Statistics.
I took Professor Faradineh in Winter 2015 for Stats. This class was on MTTRF 6 am until 9:30 am. Choosing this course was a great decision. He is a great instructor and the way he teaches stats is clear and simple. His notes helped a lot(recommend to color code notes). He comes out strong but it is only because he cares. Highly recommend.
If you are a serious student who wants to learn math this is the class for you. The lectures are clear and concise. No textbook required all lecture notes and H.W are posted on line and you print it out. The professor is passionate and strict, his character can be summed up with James Brown song, "Papa Don't take no Mess"!
Rahim is a veteran professor with years and years of wisdom and knowledge that he is the best. The lectures are clear and concise. No textbook required all lecture notes and H.W are posted on line and you print it out. The professor is passionate and strict, his character can be summed up with James Brown song, "Papa Don't take no Mess"!
I took this course in a 6wk sumr sessn, it wasn't an easy class but Prof Rahim is the best. I studied a lot and tried really hard. I mainly went based off of his notes, because the textbook just lost me and made me feel stupid. He cant stand complainers because hes serious about you learning. He is the prime example of what a teacher is.
Signed up for Hybrid Summer Stats class. I practically lived in the math department&math center, it was one of the hardest classes I've taken. I wouldn't have understood it if it wasn't for Faradineh. Buy the study guide book, he doesn't use the book. Study the SG's like a bible, pay attention in class& you'll be fine. Hard class for me but got B
Do not complain, go to his office hours for help and DO NOT BE LATE! Rahim takes teaching very serious and will help you but will not stand by being disrespected by late students or students who do not put work in. Try your hardest and show that you are trying! He will notice. this is not an easy class so if you don't want to make an effort, drop.
Professor Faradineh is the best and most knowledgeable math instructor. He dedicates himself to his work and students. Does not hesitate to answer the questions. He gives wonderful feedback and helps his students a lot. His lectures are very clear. He is just perfect. I will definitely recommend him.
Faradineh takes pride in his teaching so do not insult him by not doing your homework or paying attention. He will help you as long as you are trying. I would take him again in a heartbeat.
Very helpful but very picky on test.
I liked the way he goes fast but explains really good. He takes the time to teach each one how to use the graphic calculator. Office hours available. He does not like students to be late not even 1min. His quizzes and final is fair, based on lectures. Take notes, is a must and u'll pass and do hwk. He lets use a note page on final, really easy A+
Was taking this class for fall 2015 unfortunately I had to drop this class. He was helpful but no matter what I could never pass his test higher than a C I went to tutoring and even pay for a tutor to help me. His grading criteria was hard and the test were tough for me
Rahim is a good teacher but unexpectedly rude. He seems to not give exceptions under any circumstances, I've seen this, including the cases of a death of a students father, and visual impairments. But he gives you homework ahead of time so you have a lot of time to work on it and makes things very clear. He teaches well.
I've never liked math, more so on stats. Luckily, this professor was more like I'm not taking any BS and straight to the point in all of his class lectures. I would say attendance is mandatory because you have to turn your homeworks and expect to have a quiz, even an extra pop quiz weekly. STUDYYYYY and you'll do well.
Uses technology to teach. We used the TI-84 graphing calculator. Makes material very digestible. Lecture is fast paced but he is able to help during office hours and through email. He also hosts study sessions for those who need review. Very great teacher. Comes on strong, but stick around and you'll see that he made the class really easy for you.
Even if you are not a math person, Rahim will do his best to ease the difficulty of it. Take him. He's very strict so do not think his class will be an easy A. You will not use the book for this class, tests are straight out of his lectures. Will need a TI-84 calculator.
The professor is strict but fair. Make sure you pay attention during the lectures or else you will not pass. Sats is a tough course but he gives very clear directions on how to use your TI calculator in order to make life easy in his course. Excellent professor who gives clear and concise examples to follow.
Professor Faradineh is truly an outstanding professor in every aspect. Although it was a Friday only class from 6 to 8:10, he has weekly review sessions where he can help you with your study guides. He comes off very strict and demanding, but only does it to ensure student success. Expect a quiz every week as well. Overall, made the course simple.
Professor Faradineh, definitely does not play games. Do everything he tells you, study the lectures, watch his video's, and you'll be alright. DO NOT SHOW UP LATE TO CLASS
He puts on this tough persona & he is rude sometimes lol but I gotta say that he is a GREAT PROFESSOR!! The lectures are fast but they are straight forward. He gives more then enough time to do tests & a cheat sheet can be used. He is tough but VERY FAIR. Don't slack off during lecture because your going to need it to do hw & hw resembles tests.
math 227 in the summer, 7 week course during it was tough but worth it. His lectures were amazing. You have to buy a study guide from the bookstore. It's cheap though less than 40 dollars for sure. He is a jerk most of the time but he is an amazing teacher. I highly recommend.
His lecture's are easy to understand. He posts his lectures online so you can referrer back to them. Don't be late and attend every class or he'll get mad and might yell at you. If you do all your work and does what he says you'll pass. Can't turn in late assignment. No textbook required. Homework are study guides that you buy for only $15.
Professor Faradineh is very straight forward. He will give you everything you need to succeed and only wants you to meet him halfway. Don't be late and do you work! it helps a lot during the tests. I found that the people who complained about were those who simply weren't used to putting in the work.
Professor Faradineh is an excellent professor! He is one of the first professors that I actually understood math with. If you are having trouble with his class, go to his office hours. This professor will try his best to simplify the material if you are struggling with it. He has four exams, one of those being a cumulative final exam.
Professor Faradineh is mean! If you are late or if you are on your phone, he will yell at you in front of the class. However, he is one of the BEST Math Professors at ELAC. He is straight forward on what he expects from you as a student. Do your hw and take his lecture notes.
He can be mean, but he's only mean if he sees that you're not putting in any effort into his class. He doesn't want you to waste your time, he wants you to succeed. He will yell at you and put you on the spot in front of the class IF you deserve it. Other than that, he's a really great straightforward professor! Makes learning easy!
Best math professor I ever had!!! Learned so much in his class.
really makes you work for the pass. A lot of work EVERY DAY. If you miss homework or even leave some problems undone, he WILL put u on the spot in front of the entire class. Also when you go to the restroom or arrive late. He makes lectures as clear as possible, but if you want to feel like you're in high school again, this how the class is like.
Takes himself and the subject extremely seriously. He's VERY pushy. To the point where it's really annoying. I'd bet money he coaches little league or something because that's how he runs his class. It's hard and it's annoying but you have to put in the work if you wanna pass. If he sees you don't care, he won't care either and he'll call you out.
he is seriously the best professor ive ever had and ive taken classes at UCR and CSULA. he cares so much about the subject(duh thats why he majored in it) and about his students. if you go to his office hours he helps you so much and has patience and is kind. people who complain about him are people who want a seasy A's and forget their in college.
He is awesome! His lecture is easy to understand!!!!!!!!!
Very organized. Lectures are clear and if you don't understand something, simply raise your hand and ask, he will gladly answer. Funny and sarcastic. Do your homework, don't procrastinate, and be on time. Try to review notes daily so homework, quizzes, and future exams become easier. He can seem a little intimidating, but don't be scared.
Professor makes it impossible for you to fail. He has YouTube videos online to help w/ HW. He lectures heavy, but straight to the point. His study guides are everything!! He doesnt test you on anything that isnt included on the study guides. He also allows 1 page of notes during tests. What more can you ask for? Put in the work & youll pass!
He can be a tough teacher, but he will help you get more responsibility for your tasks.
I took his class in Summer 2017, hes a great professor. He has clear thoughts and hes very organized. Hell help you in anything you need. Gives out a lot of homework, because practice makes perfect. Overall, hes great! He can be very funny too. If you want to be mentally challenged, take his class! You wont regret it.
Rahim is one of the best math professors at elac. He teaches the material as simple as possible. Follow his steps and directions and you will pass. You have to put in the work, most exams reflect study guides.
Professor is clear on his lectures.. id like to clarify that he does not YELL at his students but he does call you out in front of class. Allows cheat sheets on exams, exams are based on study guides and notes. No book needed. He could be a bit more question friendly but besides that he is a great professor.
I had trouble with math before taking this class with him. His lectures were very good and he gave tests based on his lectures. He is just very strict about being on time. Other than that he is a solid choice
Professor Faradineh is a great professor, he might come off a little strong because he dislikes when students are late or interupt his class but other then that just get there ontime and stay on his good side. Also use his office hours that he provides because he will help you a lot there. I took him for a Winter Session and passed with a B.
This is a great teacher. He is strict if you are late. As he expects the best from you. All if his lectures are very clear and thorough also teaches and grades fairly. As he will tell you when you are in his class.. "there is no mercy grade". This is the one of the first ratings I have done because he truly is great
Great teacher. He can be very demanding and can come off aggressive but his lectures are good. He does have a low temper as well so just don't be late and interrupt his class and you'll be good.
Great class, great professor
Professor Rahim Faradineh is a great professor! At first, you may find him difficult and intimidating but you'll know why. He will give you all the resources to succeed in the class. 3 Exams, 1 Final! Do your best, all his hw assignments, and he allows Cheat Sheet LOL!
Prof. Faradineh was strict as far as attendance goes, if you don't show up you get dropped. Very straight forward on what he expects from you. Calculator usage is encouraged, provides multiple resources, and wants to see his students pass! Strongly recommend! But student must be willing to listen and learn!
Show up for class ON Time! Hwk are the study guides for the 3 test's and the final he gives. So study that and for sure you will pass the class.
overall, good prof, take him
He is quick when it comes to explaining notes. He kinda made me feel dumb for asking questions. You must do homework and show up everyday or you wont pass.
I love Statistics and Math is my least favorite subject. You will get study guides that will help you so much on the 3 exams and the final, along with one cheat sheet. He gives you really good resources, if you don't understand the problem, he cares for you to pass, he explains problems really well. Be on time for class, work for your grade!
Explains things really well but does not respond well to questions - easily annoyed and is even petty enough to belittle people. His lectures are easy to understand uploads everything to his website but if you take a hybrid login everyday twice a day because he does not announce upcoming assignments very well - and gets upset if you call him out!
Yea hes mean and has embarrassed me multiple times for being late but that's tough love. I've always scored low in math but he teaches really good. I took math 110 and 115 and got B's in both classes. Study and do the study guides and you'll pass. I'm taking 125 with him rn so obviously he's an amazing professor.
Out of ALL the math classes ive taken, this has to be the most difficult class and never have I experienced a professor who embarrasses students and doesn't take the time to explain the math problems. This class stopped me from getting into my program, 18 units passed all, failed this one. Gave us 4 assignments due ON THE DAY OF THE FINAL. big joke
He's very straight up and honest with everyone. He is clear about grading and participation but is very short fused and blows up for almost anything. He demands respect from his students so if you plan to show up late, just don't because he will punish the entire class. Other than his anger issues, Rahim has very good lectures and explains well.
The best math professor I've ever taken. I took him for 4 math classes I received an A in 3 of the four classes. Always made time to help students who needed help. I respect him and look at him as a mentor.
I took his class my first semester in college. It was a half-semester course of MATH 105 followed by a half-semester course of MATH 110. Uploads his lectures and coursework to his website, so if absent you can still learn. He is INCREDIBLY talented at explaining Math. He strongly wants his students to succeed, so he may be a bit strict.
The best math professor I have taken he truly cares about your learning and provides resources and extra credit opportunities!. However, he expect students to be committed so if you show up late, don't turn in assignment, and not attend his class he will call you out. If your serious about your education the class is not difficult.
Professor Rahim is one of the smartest, most straightforward, and blunt professor I've had. He takes his teaching seriously so he's very strict on turning in assignments and getting to class on time. HE DOES NOT MESS AROUND! The material is easy if you pay attention enough. He really cares about his students success so he pushes them to be the best
He pressures you to drop the class for every single little thing. If youre struggling he will get annoyed with you and just tell you to drop the class. Starts yelling out of nowhere and for no reason. He always tells people to ask questions but gets mad when they do.
Rahim is an amazing professor. He makes you work for your grade, slacking off is not an option. Homework almost every day, its nothing too difficult since he goes through the criteria patiently and carefully. You do not need a textbook, he provides online notes and videos. Cheat sheets on tests, gives extra credit, and do NOT come late to class.
Third time taking this professor. Great lectures. However, gets very angry when students don't do well. If you aren't doing well in his class, he won't be very nice. Still sometimes goes on tangents about "this generation". If you're good at math, you'll breeze through his class. If not, be ready to really try hard and pay attention.
Professor Faradineh is very strict!, expects his students to be in there seats on time, but... as strict as he is, you will learn the subject very well, his lectures are very explained and are easily attentive too through his lectures. He used a writing pad connected to his laptop which was connected to the white-board in class to lecture.
this professor makes it very clear, he's not your friend, he's not there to motivate you, encourages to drop his class, he teaches and teaches (something diff everyday) then boom! an exam he does not tell you what it will cover. he gets upset if you ask for help if you don't understand something. no extra credit.
His lectures are clear and not hard to understand. 3 exams (7 pages) each, and one final (11 pages) all cumulative CheatSsheets ok. Homework everyday wont accept late no matter the reason. He doesnt care about you as a student, your future, your emotions, your doubts or questions in class. Will never ever take again, he is so careless.
Great professor, horrible person. Does not care about students. His lectures are clear. Moves to quick through out lecture. If you have a question dont even ask your neighbor because you will get in trouble for that too. Oh and dont speak Spanish because he will assume you are talking about him. Class consists of hw, exams, quizzes, and final.
Would not take again! He assigns tons of homework, but they are not worth much. If you are not a good test-taker, I wouldn't recommend this class. He often asks questions on homework that were never gone over and he will not go over it for you when you ask. Will get mad if the class doesnt understand something and has no problem picking on students
HORRIBLE. He will embarrass you and yes he will teach, but there is no point in having a professor who teaches and will make you feel stupid for clarifying. I took him during the pandemic and it was already enough transitioning so, just be on top of the class. BTW CULMLIATIVE EACH EXAM.
Took this class during the pandemic and it was very stressful. I scraped by with 89.54% but he did give me the A. There is a lot of homework but they are very helpful to understanding the material. The final was 11 pages long and took me 5 hours! All cumulative but you can use your notes and homework. He can be a jerk but it didn't bother me.
Professor is well organized and goes over every material that will be on the test. Some of the lower ratings and reviews saying he does not cover certain material are wrong and simply were not paying attention in the class or missed out class meetings. He also gives office hours to review and concerns or questions you may have. Beware he is strict.
Study guides are your hw assignments and are similar to tests. Had him during the pandemic makes you have your camera on for tests, he records lectures and does a fairly good job explaining the subject, tests are cumulative and doesn't do extra credit isn't the easiest to talk to or ask questions but his class isn't too difficult I'd take him again
Professor Faradineh is an amazing Professor! We need more Math professors like him that are passionate about teaching and pushing his students to succeed. He provides his own videos & notes, no book needed. Alot of HW but it definitely helped me get prepared for Exams. I work full time and took this class during the summer. It's doable!!
I had to retake this class and I ended up retaking it with him. Hes honestly a really good professor. I understood everything that I didnt the first time I took it. Hes honestly such a great professor and I love the way he teaches. I would definitely retake another class with him. Just make sure to do your work
All lectures are virtual, he's very organized & explains all concepts thoroughly. Pay attention, do your homework & youll pass.
Really great! Definitely cares about his students. Comes off as strict you definitely dont want to be late to class or miss. His grading is honestly more than fair, he gives you credit for trying. online learning was great, he records zoom sessions so you can look back at the lecture. Hell give 2 question quizzes. Explains problems crystal clear.
I failed both of my math classes and at first I decided to take Math 260 and Math 241 with him. Really great professor ! He may come out as a rude person and that just doesnt care but thats totally the opposite. He cares about his students passing , study guides are hw and his lectures are very clear. Hes a really great professor
This Professor does not will not care for students. He is rude, arrogant, and humiliates his students if from of everyone. Not helpful if you ask him a question he starts to shout. He wants work to be done his way or the high way. Get ready for 7 pages of exams and 3 study guides every week in addition to pop up quizzes.
I am really bad at math but passed this class with a B as long as you dont miss class and go to his office hours when you dont understand something you will pass this class.
Professor Faradineh is the best math teacher Ive ever had. He comes off as strict because he has high expectations but he goes above and beyond to help his students. He is immensely talented at teaching. Notes and hw can be used during tests and are a great help. Would definitely take this class again.
Took him online during spring. Hands down the best math professor that I have taken. His explanations for topics are really good and well presented. Attendance is mandatory and he will drop you if you are absent for multiple days. He's a little bit of a jerk but overall an excellent professor.
He is very rude and will publicly humiliate his students, gets upset when you ask questions and will tell you to look over your notes again if you seek help during office hours.
Very good professor. You can watch the video of the lecture. He put all the videos and study guides on his website. In the final exam, I got 196/200 and my overall grade is 97.98.
The one thing I didnt like about Professor Rahim was his attitude since he was pretty strict in a way. Just follow his instructions and you will be fine. The lectures he offers are right on point to the study guide, he shows you step by step on how to do the problems. I would say this is the best math professor here in ELAC. Just listen.
BEST math professor I have ever taken. And I've taken Stats twice before. He does give quite a bit of homework. Everything he gives is VERY helpful for the exams. He knows what he is teaching and he makes sure the students are understanding what they are learning along the way. He will not let you slack off. Be ready to work and ASK QUESTIONS!!!!!!
This professor is so rude and careless. I cant imagine how he is still a teacher. Don't think about asking for help. He will just humiliate and embarrass you. He acts like his students are stupid and that we are a bother! His behavior was so intolerable that it forced me to seek help from outside sources. In the end he still failed me.
Quick to give scoldings with little reason behind them. Asking questions is asking for attitude. The class is relatively easy but his rudeness makes me wish I had another class. I highly recommend looking elsewhere for a math class. Your days will be brighter elsewhere.
Good luck to whoever plans on taking him. Provides his own website. About 2-3 Study Guides per week, quizzes before and end of class don't miss. Tests are 6 pages long prepare yourself you get less than 2 hrs to complete tests, counts for high percentage of grade. Tough grader. Look for someone else....
This professor is the rudest person and does not care if you have other classes or other things going on in your personal life. You have to be very decitated to this class. He is rude, careless, and will only help if he humiliates you in front of class first. BEWARE! inly take him is it is your last option, which was in my case.
He is horrible! Do not expect to get help from him and if you do, he is not very pleasureable to speak to. He has no care in the world for your learning. Forget getting help from somewhere else because he will not count the work if it's not how he teaches it. Don't understand how he is still teaching.
I took this professor during the spring as an online class. He gives pop quizzes at the end of every class. Likes to gaslight his students a lot & has no shame. Do not take him unless you want to have a hard time. Although I ended with an A, it was not worth it
This professor failed 3 people so far when I took him. He scolds everyone too. Make sure you do it his way or else hell think youre cheating. So if you dont get the way he does it and you try to do the solution differently then good luck to you. For some reason, he grades fast not sure if he has some type of assistant behind him or something.
Started out seriously not a fan of him. He was rude to everyone, and lots of people dropped the class because he stressed them out/wasn't accomodating. He called out people in class a lot of times and made people feel targeted, but dang it did I learn.. I can't deny that he's good at teaching and his grading is clear and fair. Really organized guy.
Professor Faradineh is a great lecturer. He was clear and concise and this made the material easy to understand. He is demanding but it pays off at the end. I would say his worst quality is his people skills but just don't take it personally. If you give him your full attention, participate and attend class everyday you will be fine!
Makes you feel stupid for asking questions, he is constantly yelling at all his students and embarrassing them. Make sure to always attend and pay attention because he WILL call on you.
Professor Faradineh's teaching style lacked structure and organization, making it difficult to follow his lectures. He also could have been more responsive to student questions and concerns. Despite his extensive knowledge on the subject, his delivery needs improvement.
Professor Rahim is very intimidating and knowledgeable. Took him during winter, so class was very fast paced and lecture heavy. There's no hw but there are 4 pg study guides. Don't procrastinate because there are many topics to cover. He wants students to understand rather than memorize. He's a good teacher but can be very mean and picks on people.
DO NOT TAKE THIS PROFESSOR HE IS RUDE AND DISRESPECTFUL!!!!
Terrible teacher, so many things to learn every week, and god forbid you get any help from outside sources.
Abusive. I paid for a Statistics with Support class, which entitles me to the help of tutoring department. He forbids it, demands you stick to his work or receive a zero. His comments are not constructive, instead he belittles with remarks like "I get headaches reading your work" and he berates you even when doing well.
The tone he talks sounds rude. Don't take it personally. he wants students to participate. All the notes and lecture recordings are available on his website. Office hours four days a week. Fair grader. Fast pace. open note exams. Exam questions are very similar to lectures. Pay attention to class and organize the notes, you will pass this class.
Not the best professor. His lectures are all over the place. Alot of homework and he goes straight to the study guides without proper lectures.
Don't take him. Find a caring math teacher.
Don't take this class *online* if you want to do well. He is a lot better in person but he still made the topics clear to understand. He holds a higher standard for his calculus students so make sure you have the trig basics down. Not an easy A and make sure you do *all* study guides as they prepare you for the exams. (Do. Not. Be. Late.)
I took this class during a winter(2023) session so there was lots of homework but manageable. His lectures and study guides prepare you well for the exams. He makes the topics very easy to understand. He also has his lecture recordings and notes available on his website.
Professor R. Faradineh had a bad attitude and would blame students when having trouble he would automatically think that you were not paying attention and didn't care about your grades. There was a situation where he and I had a misunderstanding and he called me out of the whole class and embarrassed me, the credits are not worth this professor.
Disrespectful professor.
Disliked him at first, but I agree with his teaching methods for the most part. Believes everyone is cheating until you dispel his prejudice by participating in class, scoring well on exams, and doing well in his in-person quizzes. Has high expectations for your algebra skills, so please be prepared. If your mind wanders easily, don't take him
I don't think ive ever meet a more disrespectful, childish, and petty professor in my whole college experience. His lecture are basic and not helpful and then he throws work at you with examples he hasn't gone over and when you ask he just says "you should know it and if you don then you should not be here". has the attitude of a CHILD
Took him during the winter. Rude and disrespectful professor who screams at his students for not knowing the answers. WILL shame, embarrass, and pick on you in front of the class. Tone is condescending and petty. Must know how to use a TI calculator or else he'll flame you for it. Class isn't worth the credits and crying every week. BEWARE OF RAHIM
Professor Rahim is the best tutor that I had at Elac ignore the bad comments that every student says about him he is a great math instructor
His lectures are very good with clear steps and instructions. His personality is whatever since he gets really mad if you don't get something or ask him too much. His tests and quizzes are mostly based on the study guides he gives and his lectures, there are some occasional hard questions. If you are not a try hard please don't take him.
I took it in the summer it was packed with homework from the start, but it was really manageable. All of the problems we had in class, he would share on his website making it accessible to everyone. Go to SI take advantage of it and do the homework or practice problems most of the problems in class also appear in the exams. 2 Exams 1 Final
Professor Rahim's class is challenging, but manageable if you stay engaged. The lectures are fast-paced, so using unstuckstudy AI and the free textbook materials are key. Attend class, take good notes, and you can succeed. Overall, a worthwhile math learning experience.
So it seems RMP has extreme bias skewed against the students by removing the reviews that hurt these professors' feelings. Under any circumstances, do not take any of his courses. He will deny you the accommodation you need to pass and will accuse you of cheating instead of helping you understand the math. Other professors severely outclass him.
I didn't take this professor as a choice, but if you do, he grades unfairly. He will pick and choose who to give full credit to. If math isn't your strongest suit don't take him either.
Took him during Fall 2024, I will say as my first Statistics class it was very rough from in the start. I tried to set the overthinking aside and just get it done. Is very fast paced and you do beat yourself a lot on the work. Four packets or four pages every other week. Definitely ask lots of questions during lectures, and attendance is mandatory.
AVOID. If he gets mad, it's over. He makes you feel bad if you ask questions. Attendance is mandatory because you get quizzes every day. He does the problems and DOES NOT let you try them yourselves. He pushes you to drop the class. He shames you in front of students and the class. AVOID FARADINEH. He genuinely made me hate math.
His style of teaching is very off putting. He is one of those professor who wants things done his way and every other way is wrong making sure u know. Homework consisted of 2 4 pages homework assignments a week. Test are cumulative so unless you live for stats and understand everything good luck, because they cover everything and anything.
Prof Faradineh is responsible for his job. His lectures were super organized, and the assignment is pretty helpful. You will get a good score on the exams if you do your homework and regularly review the topics. It's important to keep up the pace of learning, and you will find his class easy. I would recommend taking his classes.
Professor Rahim's lectures, although long, are very informative. I took his Calculus II course over summer break and assignments often spanned 2+ hours a day. The professor encourages students to attend office hours if needed, and has even extended office hours near midterms and finals.
has very rude attitude towards students. student tried asking a question about a previous problem and he snapped on them for not understanding and thinking the student gave him attitude. Needs to learn to be more polite and not go so fast during lectures has constant homework and cant get other school work done due to his mass of assignments he has
