very very bad.avoid at all cost. i would rather add 2 years to my degree than take another class with him
He seems very into it and tried really hard to explain the material but he is too stressed out because he's behind with the material and doesn't answer to the questions asked, he goes on to explain something that has nothing to do with the question and then moves on. I feel bad because he really tries hard to teach and has good intentions.
he explains well and his exam is very tricky.
Explains well but hard exams.
He is not fair at all. AVOIDDDDDDDDDDDDDD
He explains clearly and have good examples. He is fair. His exams are not easy but reasonable.
The teacher does absolutely his best to make you understand the course. he repeats every single point that he feels was not easy for students to handle. Very helpful, very clear explanation. The course is hard, but he makes it easier for you to understand. I heard so much BS before taking him, but at the end I didnt regret one second!
This guy has no idea how to teach and doesn't realise people have different methods of learning. Refuses to give out adequate resources for self study or even a single past paper. Avoid. I didn't learn a thing from going to lectures, everything I learned was from the tutorials. Hard exams.
Very Good teacher, clear, explains the concepte well I would retake him
If you have the chance to either take him as a professor or someone else, choose the someone else option. His way of teaching ENGR 202 class is absurd
Avoid!!!!! Doesn't follow the textbook, doesn't teach the same material as the other section, multiple choice non-commun final with theory and calculations. Reads his powerpoint in class and doesn't know what he is doing. Can't answer students' questions. Very tough grader. You'll be lost the whole semester. Don't buy the textbook if you have him!
He is the best professor for ENGR 202. You must go to his lecture to do well in his exam. He is far better than the other professor who just makes you suffer.
No textbook. Assignments were simple math problems, midterm was like them, except a bit longer and only an hour to do. Don't drop the class if you do badly on it, because (at least for us) the final was a lot easier. Whole thing was all multiple choice and extremely easy if you memorized the lecture slides. In the end, would recommend for ENGR 202.
Took him for ENGR202, all he does is read from his power point (that he posts), but you need to be there for the numerical examples that he doesn't post. His midterm was only numerical questions, so easy if you showed up to class. Final was hard, (very specific multiple choice). Possible to get A+ with lots of studying though.
DON"T EVER TAKE A CLASS WITH THIS GUY HE IS A HORRIBLE PROF There is no text book used in this course and i dont know how you'll practice for problems!!!
Very picky with methods used in exams. You have to use the method he shows in class, however, he does not workout examples for you in class. He just posts the already worked out answers to his examples on an excel file. Do not take any class with this guy.
Professor is monotone and boring, reads from his slides that he posts, he's okay if taken ONLY FOR ENGR202. Studied slides 1 day before final and got a B+. Final was all multiple choice. You have to attend 1st half of semester because he doesn't post solutions to problems which are the assignments & midterm. 2nd half of semester can be skipped.
I enjoyed his Engr 202 class. Straight forward just memories his slides and solve the 8-10 problems he assigned for the whole summer semester. He does not use a textbook. So the final is EXACTLY from his slides and the few assigned questions. You have to attend the first 2/3 of the semester since he solves the assigned questions clearly. Very easy
I wasn't a fan of his for ENGR 202 but I thought he was fantastic for ENGR 371. His teaching style translates very well to that class. Clear lectures, lots of material to be graded on, mid term and final were very fair and clear.
Very monotone & unclear, basically talks to himself, gives handouts every class and doesn't post much, if you skip class you won't even know the material for the tests because he says it's "what was discussed in class". Tests are very easy but you need to have good notes or attend a crash. Avoid if possible.
He is a good and fair teacher for ENGR371. He prepares you well for the exams and always has time to answer extra questions after the lectures.
Great Professor!
Good choice
If he's solo teaching the class, you will get a 2 hr final instead of 3. I had a 2 hour final for steel (BCEE-344) & ended up finishing all the questions, only a few design iterations, although he did pick very rare analysis cases. Grades based on your procedure. Overall exam/midterm problems are class problems with a twist (L-columns).
Absoloutely horrible atrocious utterly careless and doesn't understand his own materials trolls ur mails to him tells u to not worry because of tbe curve that he doesnt apply because he is too laze to do anything.
Do not ever take this course with him, I dont think he understands thats its a first year course and that a lot of the students do not have any background in physics or chemistry but still teaches the class like we're pros. The other prof for this course teaches the same class with maybe max 6-8 formulas and mostly theory knowledge.
he doesnt teach well and makes the course extra hard for no reason
Professor Tadayon is the best choice for ENGR 371, the class is hard but his class examples and explanations cover all the basic concepts required to understand the class material. The professor helps build up on these class problems to solve any complex problems. He is strict in quizzes and exams but he cares for his students.
He is the worst option for this class. For a class that requires the use of formulas for calculation, he does not allow for a formula sheet. The midterm was all calculation questions and the final was multiple choice but with a varying percentage for each question. Some MC's were 10 points, some were 5 some were 3 all calculations. Really bad teach
Reads straight out of the slides which are straight out of the books. Doesnt post slides on Moodle, so you have to do every single thing yourself. The only plus is, all his quizzes so far were from the book.
Refused to let us view midterm breakdowns or grades, held an interrogation session in the middle of our final exam to make sure we weren't cheating, useless lectures, impossible to contact outside class, he basically made the class as hard as it possibly could be.
Rahim.. i don't know why such a lazy man decided to become a teacher. He's so occupied with making sure people dont cheat, that it made the course impossible for everyone. Never gives a concrete answer. What time is the test? Uhh sometime between 9am-12pm.. How many questions? Uhh idk but no more than 10.. what a disaster of a proff and a class
Please avoid taking this professor for your online classes. Please spare yourself the stress and anxiety he will induce. He makes his midterms and quizzes really tight on time and doesn't let you track back on previous questions, because he's worried students will cheat. Midterm averages were well below 50%. Broke his promise of a longer final exam
When I had Tadayon in fall 2019 he was actually very good. Office hours are helpful. Failed the midterm but ended with a good grade. The final exam was difficult. You really have to understand the essence of prob and stats
Class average was LOW, this grade reflects on the bad teaching not bad learning. He made it the worse case scenario for an online class. For a math course, he made it enter you final answer, 3 to 10 question midterms, couldnt finish them on time, didn't give answers or feed back on quiz/midterm, bare bone slides with no examples. Chegg needed
Seriously consider dropping whatever course you take him with, horrible horrible professor. Disrespectful, unclear, does not care about anyone, purposely makes tests difficult. Rip GPA
One of the worst ive ever seen in my life . AVOID
Online Class via ZOOM. midterms and quizzes are hard. His grading system changes on the eve of the exam. he will even remove you off zoom (if ask about a previous topic).. if you don't understand his lecture, he won't mind go back to explain. if you don't respect him, he won't hesitate to disrespect you back .
Took both Engr 243 and 233 with him in the summer. In the midst of COVID-19 you would think that profs would help the students but that is hardly the case with him. He has terrible internet, doesn't record lectures and changes grading the night before a test. Its a shame that profs like these force students to cheat on their finals. Worst prof ever
the worst professor you may ever encounter during your degree. just avoid Rahim if there are other professors. if you have to go with Rahim, make sure you will study everything you have. he won't provide resources to study on your own. be aware of him.
Dude needs a reality check and needs to update his teaching methods for the modern world, has a real sense of hatred of students
Avoid, he kicks you out of the lectures if you ask about the quizzes. Bad at teaching and gives hard tests.
I cannot say enough how hard he made this class for us
The hardest class I have had at Concordia yet and the worst professor
Passed the class with minimal effort. He curves at the end, but due to the course being online he does make everything harder, but if you study you should be more than fine. The only thing I really struggled with was the bonus assignment. He takes time after class to answer all the student's questions but he can be quite rude. He's ok overall
This guy is the most rude professor I have encountered at Concordia. Constantly telling students not to ask questions and kicking people out of class for asking things they are concerned about. Doesn't understand that it's his job to attend to students' concerns as they are the people who are funding his salary. He's not bad at explaining.
one of the worst teacher in Concordia, he is extremely rude, his explanations are uncleared, better buy the textbook, read it and skip his lectures
A lot of things to say about this teacher. He is more focus on cheater rather than the material. No explanations during the lectures, only solving baby problems and throw hard quizzes every weeks. AVOID AVOID AVOID please if you want to understand the concept and get a good grade in this class. Worst teacher even in my whole concordia carrier.
It's almost as if you need to learn Applied Statistics and Probability either in another course, or by scrutinizing the textbook first to then understand HIS version of it. He is bad at teaching, and the examples he gives are the one suggested in the textbook whereas the exam questions are not at all related to neither.
FOR THE LOVE OF GOD.... AVOID this prof.... even if he's that last prof available for a class you want to take, just take the class the next semester. Course is somewhat hard as it is, taking in consideration that not everyone enjoys scratching there head about statistics and probability. This prof always finds a way to make it worse.
His class average is lower on purpose. He says he curves, but not by much. Lectures are terrible. Final exam average was 40. AVOID, do yourself a favor and avoid him. I had him for 233 and did good, but for 371 its a different story. I won't say if you study you won't pass, because that is false. However, the odds are not in your favor.
This professor will do everything to make your life harder. On top of that, he admits to doing so. This professor has lost every ounce of respect I had for him. He can make the most simple things impossible to understand. He gets frustrated really fast and that can affect students negatively. Will never take him again. Ever.
Good professor!
He is rude, pathetic and unrealistically strict for no reason. Makes a simple course harder and doesn't accommodate students in any way so take my advise and avoid him.
He is really good prof. His lectures are clear and solve many example in it. The course is not easy , you need to understand the concepts and practice them. Would like to take with him again
Pretty rude and aggressive. Probably safer move to stay at home and read the book and do the practice problems. He tends to over complicate simple concepts.
If you plan on taking ENGR371 and want to teach yourself the course, this is the professor for you! Also do not depend on exams to correspond to the suggested problems, the questions will be much more difficult.
I was very nervous taking his classes because of the reviews I’ve seen but honestly speaking he is one of the most caring and nice professors at concordia. He has average/difficult exams but he curves it a lot and you end up getting a good grade if you studied for the class and attended the lecture! I am taking a different class with him rn.
Went in to class understanding some things, came out understanding less than what I knew. You're gonna have to teach yourself EVERYTHING. Lectures are little to no help, and suggested problem solutions are unclear. Imagine reviewing solutions the day before finals, and finding out he skipped 5 steps in between. "How did I arrive at this?" "Magic!"
Tadayon is not a professor who doesn't care about his students. He is very lazy and should not be in this profession. He's a stain on the profession. In my years at Concordia I've never had a professor go so out of their way to give students a bad grade. Arrogant and undedicated.
Not bad but not good either. Grading and midterm is fair and lectures, while heavy, have a bit of charm. Explains the material straight with tons of examples that are important to understand for midterm and final.
He is hilarious... ly terrible. His slides are never accessible, you'll understand NOTHING in class, and might even forget things you already know. AVOID AT ALL COSTS
Worst prof Concordia has. Avoid him at all cost. He doesnt know how to teach.
never
terribly unhelpful. very aggressive towards students. incredibly rude. there is a group project at the end of the semester. 3 people in my group dropped out of the class and the remaining one never responded. His method of "assistance" was to give me an extra 48 hours to do a 5-person project. unbelievable. avoid at all costs
Constantly makes mistakes in practice examples in the lectures and in assignments. Confuses students and gets frustrated when they don't understand the material. Worst professor I've had at Concordia. I regret taking this course with him even though the material is straightforward.
Hard to communicate with. No compassion towards students. He did not follow what was on his Course Outline. Very bad teacher, learned nothing. Taught myself instead. If a teacher was a "hard watch," it would be him. He really is not good at his job. Refuses to respond to simple queries.
The entire class content could be summed up in a 15-minute video.
He doesn't upload the solutions to anything...
I honestly don't think he is a bad professor. He solves a bunch of examples in class to help you during homework, midterms and finals. The only negative is that he can be a bit rude and he makes some typos in the examples. Just go to class and the exams will be easy
Awfully bad teacher. He has no structure when teaching and is all over the place. His explanations are very vague and not detailed at at all. Dont skip lectures. His midterm contained material that was not cover in the suggested problems or in class. Does not finish problems he started but rather ''finish by yourself''... Run if you have him.
Honestly a joke of a prof. If you expect actual teaching, good luck LMFAO. Honestly the midterm was a breeze, final was pretty long in summer 1 2024. Genuinely dislike his sassy and poor attitude. Expect a sassy or snappy response from him when asking questions, especially about the assignments lol. Does the bare minimum so there's that going...
Absolutely abysmal professor. Very monotone lectures with minimal effort in class engagement. For many lectures, literally just did practice problems and copied the solutions off his phone The class was easy so that makes up for poor teaching
Unreachable and rude professor
This professor makes the exams as difficult as he possible can and is not flexible at all. I would never take hime agian
Makes his tests very very hard. The midterm was on 40, after grading he set it to be on 30, and still 50% of the class failed it. The final was more doable, but still hard. Has a lot of pop quizzes, most are open book.
Lacks the interpersonal skills required to work as a professor. Has a tendency to display power trips. Explanations lack clarity. He seems to lack interest in students success. Makes deprecating comments about Concordia University despite choosing to work here.
Lacks passion and dedication.
Genuinely a nice person. I overall enjoyed his class because he's fun and the exercises used simple math. But if you don't understand first go, good luck, because he is not good at reexplaining in another way. Use extra material (book found online) to practice for exams and prepare assignments as the exams are similar (sometimes identical).
This guy is the poster child of why they had to start giving ethics courses in engineering programs. The stereotype of arrogant engineer who thinks he's better than others. Clearly compensating for something. Lazy lectures, put of touch exams.
Untalented in his profession. He clearly doesn't have the soft skill to be a professor. Needs to work on his communication. He's disengaged from his students success. Shows no interest in it
He speaks about engineering as a status symbol. He's really not the kind of guy who should be influencing the next generation of engineers. Lacks character overall.
He makes the exam hard for the sake of making it hard. But he doesn't have the ability to teach students to the level of his exams. Lecture style is reading off a PowerPoint
He goes on rant about how Concordia is low standard. Little does he realize hes inadvertently insulting himself, considering he works here. Particularly unprofessional individual.
I was a TA with him. I feel sorry for the students, honestly.
I found him to be unsettlingly odd. There's something that's just not right with him
