Dr. Verma is a very good teacher. He makes absolutely sure you understand the material and that you know how to do test problems. Take him- he's a good teacher!

Verma is a relly good teacher. He teaches really good.He makes sure that you are fully prepared for the exam. His exam comes straight from the class notes. He offered extra credit and a review. His test are straight foward. Take his class.

Cases was not to good, tests were hard for me and he did no kind of curving. But I heard good comments abount him for FIN 3302. I guess if you study you will be ok. I did not pass his class.

Dr. Verma is very smart and professional. He knows the class material well and wants his students to learn. He does not curve much. Take a lot of notes in class because they are 90% of the test material. Practice the problems over and over again. If you need additional assistance go see him after class. He is also cute.

Reviews throughy for tests. Goes over material at a good pace and is helpful. One individual project, and I am pretty sure he gives you a good grade if you tried your best at it. Tests are multiple choice, the only tricky questions are the definition questions. If you like the grade you have at the end of semester you do not have to take final.

Great Teacher! If you pay attention and take good notes you will do fine. Do all the problems he assigns because they will show up in the Exams. He is very fair and curves grades. YOU HAVE TO PRACTICE SOLVING PROBLEMS OR YOU WILL NOT GET A GOOD GRADE. I made an "A" in a Summer session class. Always willing and available to help students!

Took Personal Finance online. Clear for the most part. Professor was averagely helpful. Some questions from the exams were tricky and were not directly from the the problems assigned in the book...

At UHD,I have not had a better prof than Verma.If I was a finance major,I would take him for everything.Take good notes and practice the probs several times.Finally a prof that is straight forward and doesnt try to be tricky.Be sure to practice the probs he gives or you will not have time to finish the exam.Not too easy, not too hard.Great Prof :)

He is one of the best professors uhd has to offer. He tells you what you need to know and is incredibly organized. He answers all questions, and unlike most uhd professors doesn't make you feel stupid.

This was an online class - hard class. But the teacher gives you everything you need to learn with such as lecture notes, practice problems, conceptual problems, and quantative problems. He even gives you a study plan. Follow it and you will do good.

He teaches fast, but if you can keep up then he is an excellent teacher. Write down everything he writes on the board, study exactly that & know the concepts. Practice the problems he gives you. He is one of the best!

One of the greatest professors at UHD. I never imagined I would like Finance, but he breaks it down so that anybody can learn. Practice the problems he puts on the board (solutions are online too) and you will ace the exams. The only hard thing is keeping up with the time limit on the tests.

Had him online. Great instructor. He responds to emails very fast, and thoroughly answers questions. Everything you need to study is in the modules he provides. Book helps, but not a necessity. Learn everything he gives you, and this class will be no problem.

Dr. Verma, is one of the best finance professors in UHD. As I took him online, he replayed quickly to emails, provided with a good study materials (problems, solutions..), and he even made his own lecture videos. I didn't really use the book, I just study his notes. Got an A in the class:).

I have taken Dr. Verma twice (for two different course) I think he is a great professor. Be sure to do examples that he covers in slides because they will be on his exams. He drops your lowest test grade. Overall, he is a great professor. Definitely recommend you take him.

took this course summer III online and it was pretty easy. 3 exams drops lowest and final. made a B with not to much effort. Follow the examples in the modules and you will be fine. I would highly recommend!

I took this course online during the winter mini and it was pretty easy. Study the examples from the PP slides since the exam problems are similar. 3 exams drops one and a final. I highly recommend him!

Super easy class to take. I took employee benefits winter mini and am now taking financial planning with him online. He uploads modules and videos and its everything you need to know for the test. Three tests, One final, drops lowest of first three. Any questions and you can email him and he responds quickly. Take his class!

TAKE HIM! Ive taken him twice and Im signing up for a 3rd right now! You do have to do the work but he prepares you. No need to buy the book. He gives you everything you need.

Professor Verma is awesome. I will take him again if I can. Very very fair when it comes to grading. He explains thing crystal clear and will make sure everyone in class understands. Very nice and helpful. I made a D in this class but it was all my fault. I did not focus on the final as much as my other classes. I will take him again.

Took this class for a 3 week course and it was a lot of information to take. Reviews on here are very misleading, this class is not a breeze. Test are difficult and very tricky compared to his notes. Good thing is you can use notes during test, but overall not a breeze of a class. Expect to work and book is mandatory.

A lot of information to take in 3 weeks, but he is very clear in his notes and the test are very much like his Lecture Note examples. He answers BB messages right away and is always willing to help if you ask. Highly recommend him.

Took this as a 3 week course. This is NOT an easy A. If you simply do as he says (get the textbook, go through the prepared slides & practice the assigned problems) you will do great in his class. For the 3 week May course there were 2 midterms and a final, all of which were open book/notes. Great communication with his class. Highly recommend!

This is the easiest class I have ever taken. Only online exams, exactly the same solved problems that he posts. He allows you to take a USB drive to the proctored final exam. No need to study anything, until exam day. Easy A.

Dr. Verma is an excellent instructor. His lectures are very interesting. Tests- are open books and notes. It is not hard to receive a good grade if you study his material. I would definitely recommend him as a teacher.

I absolutely recommend this professor. He was very clear in assignments and explains everything very well on his PowerPoints. I took him online and he was quick to respond to emails. No book was needed. Study his notes and you'll do good.

Excellent course for MBA level students! Every college student, no matter their major, should be required take some form of this course. Personal Finance is of the up-most importance. I wish I had the opportunity to take this course back in my 20's / as an undergraduate. I'm glad I had the opportunity to take this course.

Took this class during the summer, therefore lots of reading in order to cover all the material in just 4 weeks. Total of three midterms (drops the lowest one) & a final. I rented the book, but personally didn't use it because professor Verma provided very detailed lectures that included multiple examples. Some chapters included video lectures.

Took this class online so everything was self-taught. He has PP's, practice problems, and video lectures posted that help. 3 Tests (lowest dropped). 1 Final, which he lets use notes and excel/calculator. He responds to emails really fast and if you need help w a hw problem he is willing to explain. Overall, a good class.

I have taken him for 3 online classes so far. 3 tests 55%, he drops the lowest one. NO EXTRA CREDIT, NO CURVES. 1 final worth 45% of your total grade. Midterms are open book WITHOUT lowckdown brower . You can use his PP on the final and calculator. Not easy but double . You need to a lot study on your own. Reply to emails quickly

TAKE HIM ONLINE!!! He's one of the easiest professors I've ever encountered. Just finished the minimester with him. There are 3 test and one final, no extra grades but that can work in your favor. I did not buy the book. His power points, etc.. are good enough. THERE ARE PLENTY RESOURCES ONLINE THAT WILL MAKE SURE YOU PASS THE CLASS!

Three exams (23.33% each) and a Final (30%), doesnt drop the lowest grade . Open book, open notes, you can use excel. (You want to use excel). The class itself is passable, you have to study, if you don't study, you will struggle with this class. No extra credit, you get what you earn basically.

Dr. Rahul Verma is a great lecturer who made sure to do quick and fair evaluation. His way of teaching made it easier to grasp the concepts and the coursework he gave were the best as those contained the usage practical knowledge of what we learnt theoretically. I really enjoyed his courses and would certainly recommend it to other students.

3 exams open book w/out lockdown. Final is proctured. Those are the only grades you'll get. Professor is accessible and knowledgable. Does have a heavy accent, so it might be difficult to understand during lectures. If you stay on schedule and learn the material well, you should be well for the final.

Professor Verma laid everything out on Canvas very neatly. It was easy to find everything I needed. I took a mini session so we had 3 tests and 1 final. His video lectures were short but helpful. Tests are similar to the reviews he gives out. Class was pretty chill, just study the formulas from each chapter and make sure you know where to use em!

He is a kind professor. Exams are hard but he provides all the material you need in order to be successful. He wants students to succeed. His videos are short and to the point. I liked that he did not have extra assignments, he only graded the exams. There is a lot of self studying involved which I liked.

Took the mini session, only had 3 exams and 1 final. Class is self-studied but he does put up some very helpful videos for the chapters. If you are able to memorize and apply the formulas from the chapters then you will be able to pass this class easily! Just study the review questions and make sure you know when and where to apply the formulas.

3 exams & 1 proctored final. This is a self-taught class. Taking notes in excel is very helpful. Being able to identify keywords in a problem so you can use the right formula is essential to passing. There are plenty of resources for practice (find the textbook online); the prof's slides & videos are all the notes you need.

If you understand the review problems, you'll pass. This was my 2nd class w/ Verma but felt lower quality than others. Wish there were videos & better study/note resources.

Can use 3 single sided sheets of notes. Final can use excel. If you understand concepts, calculations with notes, can easily past tests and final. drops lowest midterm to help with grade.
