Excellent teacher. Makes sure you understand how to solve the problem. Just pay attention and you'll eventually learn the concept of mathematics.

duro is such a helpful teacher. he doesnt want u to write in class because why would you write down something in math that u dont understand. he wants u to actually understand before you just write something down. he is so helpful. u have to put effort in to math anyway to pass. need help take duro

Duro is a little nigerian guy, who is very compassionate when it comes to math. You either love him or hate him. He was annoying at first, but know I really like him. I will take him for 093 and college allgebra. As long as you put a little time aside to study and understand, you'll do good. I definately recomend you take this easy class.

Although he was hard to understand at times, he would explain thoroughly so that you'll finally understand. He's a very nice person, and very helpful. He would sometimes show us his methods of solving problems that were different from the book, which were usually easier and better. I left DMAT with an A, and also recieved an A in College Algebra

i dont care wat anyone says, he is a good teacher and for all those ppl who say they cant understand him, well maybe if u listened once in a while u could understand him....he is very helpful and knows what hes talkin about.

I LOVE HIM.... I am in algebra right now i wish he was teaching it. He is crazy... is not orgainized at all... You will get used to his accent. I would take him again!

Duru is the best teacher i ever had in math. He is ever ready to teach you. He hates it when students don't do their home work. He may not be good looking but he has math up there. Show me a teacher in north lake that will skip his lunch time to help you? Not in America as a whole. i highly recommend Duru. If you hate math,he will help u love it.

Duro is the BEST. He is so helpful. If students would listen to him when he is trying to teach, You would learn alot. He love math, and is willing to go out of his way before, after class to help. Students don't respect him and That is awful! Good teacher ! His classes are always full!!!!

Duro is good. You need to pay attention to what he is teaching. It is difficult to understand what he says at times but he will always repeat himself if you ask him . The key is to listen and pay attention. not paying attention is not an option.Extremely helpful and genuinely wants his students to do good. MUST PAY ATTENTION THOUGH !!!!!!

I took Duro for 0091 and 0093 I love his class he was very helpfun. Do not read the comments below those are the people who don't do their work and are complaining. He is a good teacher and I reccommend him A LOT!

DURO is an awesome person! if you can get past his accent and actually listen to him he tries to help you... I suggest taking a diff teacher if you are big on note taking while he talks though. Also be aware that bonus questions on tests are not bonus lol he counts off if the are wrong. He really wants to help you if you are willing to listen

Used book a lot, heavy lil punk. Helped me out SO much with math. Good teaching methods. This class was very easy because I did the homework and I knew what was going on, even when I didn't do it I still had time to catch up. Very lenient. Funny guy. ENJOYED actually going to class. Duro is freaking amazing as a teacher. sure he gets off topic sometimes, but that helps me pay attention and keep from daydreaming, over all he is a great teacher.

You'll always use the text book and My Math Lab. He explains everything pretty well, and sometimes it doesn't follow the books way of teaching you, but I found his way easier. I was dreading this class, but it turned out pretty well. Just remember to do all the homework and finish My Math Lab.

Duro is a good teacher. Do your homework and pay attention on how he whats you to work out the problems. His classes are very interesting, though sometimes he goes over bound on his talking.

He is a good teacher. He really wants you to understand the material in order to do good in the next class. He assigns homework every class but it isn't too much (usually problems from the margins in the textbook) and mymathlab! Go to class every day because every class he teaches something new!! He's okay.

Yes, he has a very strong accent! If you pay attention you'll be fine. If you try and do your homework you will not fail this class. I failed three tests and he helped me raise my grade and passed me because I showed up to class and showed interest. Take his class if you're not going to skip all the time.

I just took this class he is very helpful when you do your homework on time he is very flexible when it comes to test taking and he explain math the easiest way instead of the hard way......you have to be one of those people who can understand different people accent not then this class isnt for you

He's funny and very helpful. Yes he does not really allow you to take notes, but he goes over a section until he feels you got it. You can also ask him questions and he'll walk you through it. He has a heavy African accent, but I understood everything he said.

Professor Duro was my first math teacher in USA, in my opinion, he is a great and funny instructor with big charisma that also explains the problems with easy step-by-step-solutions. But professor Duro is also honest and won't give free points, he is a serious professor, because math is love, and math should be taken more serious (Duro).

What Professor do you know that doesn't become upset when someone is texting during their class? Yes, he would prefer that u don't take notes while he is explaining the problem, but gives the opportunity after he's finished. I do like that he's able to simplify explanation of solving the problem. I'm unhappy unable to select him 4 Coll Algebra

He's funny and helpful- just ask him for help, he likes it when students care about math. It's true he has an accent but you get used to it, whoever says it's impossible to understand is lying but if you're sensitive to these things then avoid. You just have to try him to see if you guys will mesh I guess.... LOL but it's impossible to fail hereC+

I love Mr. Duro's class! He's understanding and explains when you don't understand. He does give a lot of homework but he never checks it. He doesn't count attendance but you don't want to miss his class if you want to be ready for the tests. Tests are normally easy and about 15 questions long. He's a great professor I strongly recommend him!

I miss this Professor! I wish he taught upper level courses. He's an amazing person. I love his sense of humor and his personality. Attendance not mandatory. Easy grader. Wants you to know how to do it and he doesn't confuse you by over explaining concepts, he teaches what you need to do- simple as that! Great man

Professor Duro is great!!! Now if you love to procrastate and are anti social i would not recommend this class. The professor is very caring and understanding so if you fail its all you. He makes you do the work first then he explains. This method worked for me but we are all nt the same.

If you have to drop the next class it's all on you, don't blame Prof Duro. He is a great professor that understands his students! I took him for 0305 AND 0310. Have done 2 calculus courses, math theory, econometrics, and I'm using math here for everything and haven't had to drop anything! He teaches well! I am grateful that he was my professor!! :)

I Took this professor for college algebra and yes he does have a heavy accent but I pass the class if you really try you will pass but if you dont get math dont take him since his accent is heavy

I took the DMAT 0305 with Professor Duro. Came back to school after 25 years and was terrified, but he was fabulous so I immediately registered for his 0310 class. He cares about you learning the material. It's less about test grades, and more about whether you understand the process. The summer sessions are intense, but he gives a lot of support.

Professor Duro is one of the greatest professors at Northlake. I am someone who struggles deeply with math ,but Duro made everything so much easier and understandable. Hes is a very kind, caring and funny professor. He does not let you write while he is explaining, which has made learning way more easier! I truly recommend him!

Mr. Duro was very nice, very helpful! I will say he is strict when it comes to paying attention! He is very funny! If you pass his exams that he gives during class, you will pass the class. The assignments online thru Mylabplus. He takes those as extra credit at the end of the semester.

Good professor overall he puts grades all late but his class is an experience. He has no eyebrows but hey its cool I would take his class again even if his accent is strong

I took Duro for the summer. We did 3 months worth of work in a month which meant a lot of homework. The way he teaches is great! you can understand his accent and he does let you take notes. He wants your attention so you can understand math. He lets you do test and quizzes as a group project! will take him again for sure!!!

Raifu is cool and all, but hes seems to have a hard time with students taking notes while he is lecturing. I personally cant learn that way, the guy wont even make an exception, his excuse is that he wants us to listen. At the end of the semester, he took his sweet time to put in grades and ended up only putting 3 grades in the grade book.

prof duro is one of the best instructors i've ever had. he teaches well, provides feedback, encourages students to come out of their shell, and is super funny! he urges students to listen instead of taking notes during lectures which has helped me a lot surprisingly. i learned more that way. ill miss his class. i 100% recommend

Attendance & Participation is required. If you miss class you will fall behind on your assignments. Dr.Duro is a very caring towards his students. There is a lot of homework, when working on your homework if you come across any question you don't understand write it down and take it to him once you get to class

This course was super easy thanks to Dr. Duro!
