Awesome teacher...had him for Fall Semester 2002. Made things easy to understand, and made things as easy as possible for you as a student.

Great teacher. I dunno how he does it, but at the end of the course, you will be more than prepared for the final exam. Math is my weakness, yet I got an A with this guy.

wasnt very good at math, i took business math at douglas college and failed miserably. However i took the same course with Raiomand Parsi..and math became my new best friend. He knows how to teach and he actually cares about his students!

Parsi is great!! he is quite Easy if you study hard.. since his MT are base on the notes and questions he has covered in class... means that you will not get a question in MT that you have never seen before~

An incredible teacher. I nearly failed math 12 in HS and from then on I hated math but once I took this class everything was easier and clearer! He's very helpful and he makes the class fun. The best teacher I've had so far at Langara.

A very good teacher. Clear, precise. Pushes you to learn but doesn't apply too much of a workload. Makes the class highly enjoyable. Bottom line is that you learn in his class. One of the best teachers i've ever had.

He rocks! I HATE math, suck at it, but he makes it easy to understand. Even lets you bring a formula sheet. He is fair and very easy. Just remember, he doesn't like ppl arguing with him. Also, if you seek help from him often, and show that you are trying, very unlikly that he'll fail you

Parsi is the best! Take it from me cuz i hate math, he is so nice and caring and relatively easy. He'll go out of his way to give u a good mark. Midterms are reasonable and u'll do good if u pay attention.I wish all teachers were like him.

He is such a nice guy who makes math seems so easy for everybody, and he tells jokes in class sometimes. I really enjoy learning math in his class! If you have any questions, just go ask him cuz he is soooo willing to help you!^_* As for an international student, I did well in his class. ^_^

The BEST math teacher I've EVER had. Try to get into his class, because he makes math understandable, and doesn't try to trick you or make things harder than they need to be. He wants his students to do well, and helps them by being a great teacher.

Every since i failed Math in Gr. 10 and 12 I hated it. But since i started anew with this basics course, i found math is fun again. But aside from that, Parsi is a great Teacher. I strongly recommend him. And the majority seems to agree. He's very helpful!! Way to Go Parsi!!

He is helpful. There is no excuse for failure in his class. If you do not understand something then you MUST ask questions otherwise he will assume you get it and he will move on quickly.

Great teacher... My first semester in Langara, and he's the BEST. I love math all along, but he makes me love the subject even more. Nice, helpful and friendly. Will say hi when he sees you around school. Highly recommended and you shouldn't fail if u attend his classes regularly. A+++

Mr.Parsi is an excellent instructor. Just make sure to attend all classes and do the exercises, and you should do fine! He's always there to help you as well.

he truly wants his students to go very well on the course by saying still like, "i would write this on the exam...if i was a student trying to get partial marks.. " *hint hint* he doesn't try to trick students with outta the blue questions. he's the best prof i've ever had so far.

Mr. Parsi is soooo nice. Such a good teacher. Very fair and really wants you to succeed in his class. Takes a while with getting the 2 hr class done, but gives you a nice break. Gives bonus marks for being punctual. Also has a good sense of humour.

WOW, amazing math teacher. I failed math twice in high school, hated it to no extent and hes changed that. He challenges us to do our best, and makes it fun. Real laid back. TAKE THIS CLASS IF YOU HAVE THE CHANCE! BEST $240 BUCKS YOU'LL SPEND!

Great teacher!! I have always struggled with math. (even the easy stuff!) He makes sure you pass if you show up. No homework, but if you keep up with his lessons you are guaranteed to pass! Take this class. Ray is GREAT!!!

OMG!!! This dude's aweseom. His exams aren't easy, but like he emphasizes, there's not trick to them. It's straight forward, if only all the instructors at Langara give exams like he gives exams. He's by far the best teacher I've ever had, and he actually cares about you as an individual

had him for accounting and business math. He is prob my favourite teacher at langara. Attend every class and take notes. do the examples that he does in class because that is what your exam will be like. He really tries to help you pass, and has an amazing ability to make math make sense (even if you really suck at math). would reccommend him 110%

I really liked Rai. He was kind of hard to understand in the beginning but by the end it was fine. He randomly takes attendance which can suck, but he loves giving bonus marks for showing up! I thought math was going to be really tough, but all I did was show up and listen and Rai made it easy.

accounting is not my thing.. im not good with numbers, but i would say Rai is a good proff he tries his best to not let his students to fail. I reccomend him! he is pretty nice. The midterms are fair but the final may seem difficult.. i would suggest practicing a lot otherwise you wont get it. overall nice proff

This is a great prof for people with poor math skills. He repeats himself, which is kind of funny at first, but than ends up being very helpful. He goes very slowly and makes certain that everyone understands before continuing on. I used to fear math and I no longer do after this class. He puts the wrong emphasis on the wrong syllable on some words

I hate math and studied the night before midterms and quizzes and I'm getting 85% in the course. It's not that the course is that easy, but that Rai teaches it extremely well and makes sure everyone understands before continuing. He's a bit quiet so you have to strain to hear him if you're in the back. Show up, study a bit, and you'll be fine.

He is an awesome teacher. Go to every class because he takes attendance when people don't show up. If you go to class, study 20 minutes a week for the quiz, you should ace this course. He's a great guy; understanding, fair and funny.

Take math with him. He's an engineer not a mathematician, so he'll talk to you like a normal person. I dropped because I switched to arts, but if I ever need to take math he's the guy. Office hours are super helpful. Going to class is very important. Practice with some questions from the text, and you'll be perfectly fine. GREAT PROF!

He explains everything quite thoroughly. Gives good outlines on what needs to be studied for midterms and finals. He's a fair marker as well. Also quite funny in his own way. Make sure to attend class.

Honestly, THEE best prof ever. I've only taken one course with him, but to this day, every time he sees me in the hallways, he takes the time to ask how I'm doing and give me advice on my studies. He's a great math teacher, I hate math in all shapes and forms but Rai is a cool teacher. He's a realist and just wants everyone to succeed. Some of the life lessons he gave were spot on.

He is an incredible teacher. I took math 1100 as I did not do well in highschool math. He explains and teaches you in a way that really makes sense. if you choose not to come to class, don't expect to do well. He made math easy for me going forward. Best teacher I have ever had.

Material is not that difficult, he does his own examples and then assigns questions from the textbook to be done in class so you get the material. Weekly quizzes on every Thursday. Need textbook to do quizzes. Attendance is basically mandatory as he often gave free marks to students who came to class and a 'pop quiz' where he gave us the answer.

Rai is an amazing Math teacher. I have taken him for 2 courses and although I didn't need extra help, he puts in many extra hours to help out his students. He really wants everyone to pass the course. He also teaches in a way that makes the course material way easier to understand. I highly recommend taking him.

Well refined and focused lectures that go to the core of the material in an understandable manner. Provides textbook context then a practical faster route to be done, follows up with an explanation on material's use in future courses.

Hands down to the clearest teacher I have ever had. Lectures are crystal clear, and the tests are straightforward from what he teaches, no tricky questions. Willing to explain to you if you do not understand. Highly recommended!

He takes attendance once in a while. if you dont attend class, the course would be hard unless you are they type that understands the textbook

Parsi is a very good prof! His in-class explanations are clear, easy to understand and he doesn't rush. If its a good day, the whole class will be given an bonus mark or two on their work. Good prof to take if you are a first year student and/or not looking to not hurt your GPA

Nice, funny, and great prof. His lectures are super clear, and he takes his time with them. He gives bonus marks often, and lets you leave class 20-30 minutes early if you do the in-class work correctly. Super easy course, and there are no tricky questions on the exams. Also, there is very little homework.

He is an easygoing prof .just basic expectations like study,show up,don't use cellphones and pass !He tells the final Questions as he teaches each part and his final was not cumulative even though he said it would be!

Very easy going prof, just show up to class, pay attention, and do your assignments. Very caring and will do everything he can to help you in office hours as long as he sees you're putting in effort. Funny guy. Would take again for sure. Will need textbook, sometimes a lot of homework but it's very easy and quickly done.

He is the best math teacher I've ever had and somehow made accounting enjoyable. He is extremely helpful in and outside of class. If you are struggling with the course content I recommend seeing him in his office hours because he is very understanding and explains the content clearly (and if needed from multiple points of view).

I came into Raiomands class with the impression I was doomed in mathematics. But he changed it for me - he made it easy, engaging and fun. He seems intimidating but like most teachers, he just wants to see that you're trying - if he can see that, he'll always meet you in the middle. I highly recommend taking him if you have the opportunity.

I've taken 3 math courses with him, he's the best teacher. He's very caring, really only wants you to get good grades so you can go on to the next course. I highly recommend stopping by his office if you're having troubles, he takes his time to explain things. Lots of HW but as he says, math is just practice. Definitely recommend!

Prior to taking any classes with him, I used to HATE math but Professor Parsi truly helped me enjoy math. If you have the opportunity, take a class with him. You won't regret it :)

Kind professor, he always stops to ensure that everyone understands the material. Sometimes jokes around with us too. Note; I took his course as a repeat of math 11, much more chill and not for credit.

Parsi gives you a lot of chances to fix your mistakes with test redos and corrections. His test are exactly like the pretest assigned, giving examples questions throughout the class to see if you understand the material. Overall, he's a great professor and is always willing to help.

Parsi is one of my favourite math teachers! His lessons are very clear and to the point, and he makes sure that everyone has a clear understanding of the material. I've never been good at math, but I did amazing in his class! Definitely take his class if math isn't your strong suit or if you haven't taken math in a few years.

such a goated teacher. he is very thorough with his lectures but you do have to show up everyday (attendance is not marked) or else you will be behind in class. he tells you whats going to be on the tests and exams and is very willing to help out students. he can be intimidating at first but he is SUPER nice and funny 10/10 would take again

Wow. I uesd to suck at math... then i took Mr. Pharsi's class and i went on to get a 95% in pre-calc 12. Before that i was a straight 70 to low 80 student in math no matter how hard i tried. Mr. Parsi actually explains the logic behind it all and goes back to the basics. I owe a lot to this man and for how he has changed my outlook on math!!
