Professor has great slides and involves the class. Few students never read the book and constantly ask dumb questions. I am getting a lot and expecting an A in this class. His style is very involving and he uses outstanding

his class is not hard and he is a really nice guy. just read the text book... which you would have to anyway with the amount of information being covered. his accent isn't bad unlike what other people said, i understood everything he talked about in class. there is lots of easy extra credit projects to help your grade out and overall an easy A.

If you want to be spoon-fed or prefer to whine, this class isn't for you. If you want to get something out of it, show up to lab and do more than take the test. This is one of the few professors that will give you out of it, exactly what you put into it. If you're looking for more than that, you aren't really a student, now are you?

I've studied at great schools and never had access to a prof this personable. Willing to listen, answer questions and has real industry experience. Reasonable, smart and always ready to help. College isn't about passing, it's about learning and all medical professionals of tomorrow would be well suited to start here.

He is a great teacher. Both NAS 161/162 are very hard so I don't recommend taking the condensed version like I made the mistake of. You will work hard for your grade, but it is worth it in the end because you learn so much. Great teacher.

Dr. Bawa is a amazing teacher, he cares about the students. I had him for NAS 161 and NAS 162 and he is by far 10's across the board! I think they should allow him to teach the lecture and not just the lab.

This class was the required Lab portion for my NAS161 and NAS162. The Lab Manual is sufficient to prepare you well beyond what is needed and expected at the lab. It is not the kind of lab you can just show up at and pass. If you take the work seriously, it will pay off, and I found the practice extremely interesting and valuable.

I just finished taking my weekend long lab, with this teacher. He had a relaxing demeanor which made these all day evens a little more bearable. You do need to pay attention to the lectures, if he repeats something more than once you should assume it's on lab exam. But overall, the exam wasn't tricky and did a good job explaining things.

Online group project was the worst part - very difficult to work together with 6+ people over the internet. Would take him again though!

I had mix reviews going into writing this review...**weekend lab review Did not rub me the right way in the beginning; over 30 mins late the 1st day, sent us home after 1.5 hours to study (more like he needed to be somewhere that day), and then cramped everything into 1 day & had to take a test at the end. Knew his info & handed us test answers

Took A&P 1 as a 8 week online course and have nothing but great things to say. Dr. Bawa is extremely helpful and very clear with his expectations. You have plenty of time in between due dates to complete all assignments. Material is heavy but no matter what professor you go with, that is typical for this type of course. Highly recommend.

No matter what teacher you get this course is VERY difficult and you really need to stay on top of things. This is the best teacher to have for this course though by far. He is understanding about life and how much goes into this class. Most online teachers aren't responsive, but he is there for you. Just study, study, study and you'll be fine. :)

It would be great if he outlined what we needed to study before class. I spent hours memorizing muscles of fetal pig and we did use that information.

Easy going, good teacher!

I took this class as a prerequisite for a 2nd degree BSN program. The subject matter is difficult no matter who you take the course with, but I would recommend taking the course with Dr. Bawa. He is very accessible outside of class, and I appreciated that he understood most of his students were adult learners. Tests are tough, but he will curve.

Dr. Bawa is a great professor! He was very helpful and responsive. Rating the class at the highest difficulty had nothing to do with him but had to do with the overwhelming workload. I took this in an 8 week course. Do NOT make my mistake; take this in 12 or 16 weeks if you have other obligations or aren't prepared for in-depth memorization.

When taking Dr. Bawa's course be prepared to retain a lot of information, as with any other Natural Science course. Dr. Bawa is very approachable, so if there is any conflict of understanding he will happily help in clarifying.

Prof. Bawa wants you to pass the class. Read very carefully his first email which will tell you what to expect and how to go about being successful in his class. His email was real my guidance and I worked on those lines to pass the class. In addition, BIO141 online class is a fast-paced class so you need to be on top of everything all the time.

Dr Bawa was my Lab instructor for both NAS 161 & NAS 162. It's a lot of information to jam pack into one weekend but he makes it work. He lets you know right from jump what to expect, what to read and basically help you prepare for the lab weekend. He sets up the lab exam during class depending on what you manage to cover. Great teacher!

I took Dr. Bawa's 8-week AP2 class after reading the positive reviews on here, and they were not wrong! I think these online classes have to follow a strict guideline across the board, but he was lenient and allowed us to go at our own pace. He understands we have our own lives outside of school. Overall, he's a great professor and mentor!

Dr. Bawa was readily accessible. I had some technical difficulties with the online version of the class and he was kind enough to help me through the issue. It's an accelerated class so there's a lot of reading and homework, but I learned a lot. The medical experience paper portion was also interesting to read and write.

I took his BIO 141 A&P Online Class. I got a C in the class mainly due to the fact that I wasn't able to put the time (4-6 hours of studying a day) needed for me study and pass the class. However, I think the overall curriculum is fair if you put the effort and hours of studying for it. He responds to your e-mail within 24-48 hours and calls.

Dr. Bawa goes above and beyond to help you succeed in this course! One of the nicest professors I have ever had, always available easy to reach. Make sure you stay on top of the due dates. This class uses pearson mastering which can be frustrating but as long as you do the extra dynamic study modules and practice labs you will be ok!

When taking a BIO cl it is known to be very difficult. Prof. Bawa is the best he provides preparation sheets and videos to help you understand what question will be faced on a section of the book. I took the online course which was difficult because there is so much to read and learn. Prof. Bawa helps you a lot and responds to emails on time.

There are other sources of information that are shown on Canvas like Wendy Riggs on YouTube that can be very helpful in getting a rough idea of the material before going deeper with the textbook. An A is doable but it takes a lot of time. The medical experience assignment was cool.

BIO141 requires focus and daily commitment, if a student is to fully grasp material. The textbook and online labs were excellent. Dr. Bawa was available via phone, and often generous with his time and knowledge. He shared career advice with me and posted additional research in discussion boards, which I really appreciated.

The material is Heavy and does require a lot of studying. However he gives plenty of opportunities for extra credit. I did turn in one assignment late and he was understanding. Also gave me opportunity to revise my paper for a higher grade. Class is well organized. Communication is clear and available by phone or email.

Post-midterm, I have an A. Be prepared, it's a hard class for sure. There are 5 units with each unit having labs, a proctored quiz (2 attempts which incorrect answers shown), and a proctored exam. Other than that, there's a paper. Make sure you study a lot and you'll be fine (assessments are multiple choice).

The professor responds to emails very quickly. There are five Honorlock tests, and if you thoroughly read the book and materials, you can do very well in the course. The labs are fairly easy and open-book. There are many practice questions, videos, and the book provides enough time and resources for preparation. There is no extra credit available.
