Finally a teacher who makes you think. If you are not ready to use your brain don't take him. He was one of the best math profs. I had. Mr. Seekri will explain it to you at any time if you get stuck. His test are applied to real world situations not just book copies. Get ready to study.
The smartest teacher i have ever had in my life. If you expect this class to be easy just because it is at a Jr college you are wrong. He is a real good teacher and will help you to the fullest.
Hardest teacher i have ever taken.
excellent prof...
He is the best. Just do the homework and come to class and you should be fine. He is always willing to help, and he really cares about his students. He gives real life situations when he teaches. Honestly he is one of the best teachers I have ever had. You must come to class if you want to do well. He is also a great person.
I was lucky enough to have Mr.Seekri as teacher. He is an excellent human being who cherishes each andeveryone of his students. If you need help he will always be there for you even if it has nothing to do with math.He is one of the best teachers I've ever had!!!
He is the best teacher I've ever had. He made everything seems so easy. You must take his class
I had bad cal one teacher so i had hard time. I think he is good teacher and cares for his students. He skiped some steps when he explains. Some students like his teching method and other dont. There is no mutual. Just do your h.w and you'll do fine
Well, what can I say. Professor Seekri is obviously one of the best professors available at Richland. He is always on time and prepared to lecture. He knows how to make everyone in class be interested in MATH. His tests are not easy and somehow tricky, read every question carefully. Ask questions in class! Very recomended!!!
If you take business calc with him... make sure and take business calc 1 with him or you will be lost in business calc2. I took another prof for bcalc1 and I was completly screwed in his class. He, however, is one of the best profs I have come to know. recommended if you are going into a field dependent on mathematics
He is a genuinely nice guy, but as hard as he tries, he is not a good teacher. Especially don't take his class if ANY part of your algebra or trig skills are a little rusty or were never good to begin with. At least 1/3 of my class was failing before the final exam. I worked my ass off and was lucky to get a C.
I would not recommend this teacher to anyone that wants to actually learn anything. if the class doesn't do well on the test he has an attitude and screams at the class for not doing well. I would not take him again under any circumstance!!
I had to drop because I had no idea what he was talking about. I thought I wouln't live long enough to get out of there. He made mistakes in lectures all the time and I just couldn't follow what he was saying. I am still confused. I will try again next semester with a different teacher. Terrible. Test questions were out of book but no explaining.
BEST TEACHER I ever had. Large % our class nomnated him for DCCCD exceptional teacher awards. Get passed his accent, do homework, and you will be in Business, as Seekri says. I got A for efforts. Calc 1 NOT easy, I garuntee, do ure part he make sure everyone understands. Also a very personal, Caring teacher, A REAL PRO. Recomend for math major.
He really is there to help you learn, as long as you ask for it. He had extra tutoring available when many people started to fall behind. He drops a grade and also gives points for attendance and participation, which really helps your grade. Make sure you do you homework (though he does not collect it) and ask lots of questions!! Great teacher!
BEST PROFESSOR. He is helpful and has great passion to motivate students working hard inside and outside the class. He has simplified most of the difficult calculus concepts and always encourage students to ask questions. Those who always escapes classes, don't do homework and don't ask questions will always find excuse by giving negative comments.
He's a good professor although I struggled a lot in that class due to lack of practice/understanding in MATH 1325. The exams are challenging therefore I highly recommend doing all the homeworks+sheets and ask ANY question you have. And don't "study/memorize", you must work out the problems to fully understand.
STAY AWAY FROM HIM! Dont let his nice personality fool u. I Worked sooo hard in his class but there is no point. He has no leeway w/grading. I solved problems in the way i knew and got the correct answer but he still counted it wrong! I NEVER missed a class and yet i struggled so much. Richland should fire him!
Mr. Seekri is the hardest teacher you will ever have. He got mad that we were all taking this class in the summer, and he lectured us about it. This class is like a punshment for taking it during the summer. You can study all u want, it won't help. I studied and understood everything, but the test was tricky and he doesnt care if u fail.
he is a great teacher...very serious...you better come to class or he will call u out...do your hw...do the math lab...come to class everyday and you will be fine...he knows his stuff and is very encouraging
Great teacher! make sure you do the practice problems that he assigns in class and you'll be fine! his test questions come from the book and math problems he passes out during class. Not a easy class but if you study you'll be fine! got an A
Best teacher ever! I really think Prof. Seekri helps a lot. I made an A, just go to class, pay attention and do the homework assigned by him that really helps a lot and by the way it is not mandatory but if you wanna succeed in the class it will help you a lot. Just practice from that and you'll be fine. Great teacher, I will recommend him.
Tough, but fair. Test questions are almost always taken from the (optional) homework, occasionally with a few numbers changed. If you can do the homework, you can do the tests. He grades the tests himself and gives partial/full credit even if you make a minor mistake. Take notes, do the work, ask questions, and you'll be fine.
He cares so much about his students. If you show your dedication to the class you will definitely be rewarded. It's not an easy A, but you will learn so much. Study, attend class, and do your HW, and you will be fine. I LOVE Mr. Seekri.
Extremly nice and helpful. Test are super hard and nothing like the homework. Word problems ONLY. He skipps steps when explainig the problem and sometimes dont even write the formula on the board. The good part about him is that he really enjoys teaching and is extremly helpful. If you get an A or B in 1370 you really earned it. NO BS thru the clas
Mr Seekri is a kind and helpful professor. Even though his tests only consist of 5 questions, but as long as you do all the assignments he told you, you should do well in his class. He's willing to help anybody who has questions or difficulties.I love the way he teach bc he cares so much for his students and you will learn a lot from his class. ^_^
extremely difficult class. tests are given from homework but he makes the test short. makes you feel dumb. constantly calls us out and makes us feel bad at each other because we do not know our derivatives. guy is a pompous prick who is high on himself at teaching at a community college level.
Mr. Raj Seekri is they best professor you could possibly take at Richland College. He is interested in your well being and will test you on the "fundamentals" of calculus. Many student do not like his short tests, but they were easy to study for and had just enough questions to cover the material. Thank you Mr. Seekri for a wonderful semester.
Mr seekri is the best teacher i have ever had encountered @ richland. he wants you to understand the material well. Be really to ans questions in class, do ur hw online n the one he gives u, study n use the tutorin center n u ll b fine.An Amazing teacher. . n hes really funny too..u might not notice but he really is..Goodluck
I love him he is the best teacher you could ever have!!! he really tough but its good for you, there are times that he would make you feel like crap if you dont know anything but other then that hes very helpful, very nice and he knows wat hes talking bout. :) so take him if you want to have a good understanding of MATH:)i got an A:) so I LOVE HIM:
If you are taking him for summer, take only one class and quit your job coz you hve to spend the rest of your day in the math lab after his class. He throws like ten concepts at you on the first day and gives you like 7 homeworks and online assignments.
Seekri is Great! One of the best professors I have had. He really takes the time to make sure you understand the problems. I work and go to school and really like that he is patient and cares that his students comprehend calculus.
Very narrow minded professor. No partial credit on tests even if you have a few steps right. People say he is the greatest teacher ever... they must have received a GED or an accumulative GPA of 2.0 in H.S. He is by far the worst teacher. He copies straight from the book. I'll admit he knows his stuff but who wouldn't if you taught for so long.
If you took him and you say hes a bad professor then there is something wrong with you. Not probably but 100%. He cares for every of his student and I'd say that hes fairly easy. The materials may be hard but hes always finish his job. This is my first comment on this site btw.
Mr. Seekri was a great instructor. He is the BEST that is around. He always is there for clarification and sincerely cares how you do and if you understand it. Attendance is not mandatory BUT it's crucial. Be sure to know your algebra before coming to the class. All in all, Mr. Seekri is one of the best professors I have had.
Very hard professor. If some one write something wrong on the rate my professor, he will mad and make the final exam hard.
Mr Seekri is by far the best teacher I have ever had. This class is very hard but there is not a better professor than Mr Seekri that cares about his students and does as much as he does to help you. If you don't learn it, then its your own fault. I took cal 1 in maymester with him and cal 2 in summer 1. Very hard class but excellent teacher.
Professor Seekri is a very dedicated educator, his ability to translate the difficult subject of mathematics into somthing that you can understand is excellence. Beside his teaching ability, he care deeply for his students success in this school and along after.
Extremely Dedicated to his students. If you truly want to learn the right way, take him.
He is one of the best professors I have ever had, and I am at TCU now. He is really invested his students. His teaching style is strict, but you will learn from it.
Test is the same as the sheets that he give to student. You can control your test if you can solve problems in the sheets. Two tests and one final. Final is the same as two tests. Pratice then you can pass wit A or B
Even though I made an A in the course, I would have to say he was one of the hardest teacher. He likes to pick on you and make you feel bad if you don't know the answer. If you ask questions he'll make you solve them in front of everyone. He expects you to know everything, I MET EVERYTHING. I went to the tutoring lab to get my question answered.
if you dont have time much to go through the book from A to Z, and dont know much about college algebra it is hard because even sometimes the problems in the book is not found exactly similar in the text book.
He is a very difficult instructor. Although, very knowledgable of the material and hopes to help every student succeed (not pass). This will not be an easy class for anyone, you quit your life and practice calculus.
He is one of the best math teachers at richland. His class is not easy but he'd rather his students learn something, than just get an easy A. sometimes his way of doing something is really confusing but its really helpful to go to the tutoring center. i passed the class with a B, so you have to study a lot for his tests. definetly recommend him
Took him for Business Cal 2. Super hard, gets mad if you don't study, but he's a kind person, actually cares about students and sincerely hopes you to do well. You have to go to class, do all your homework, and hope to pass! I worked my butt off and only managed a B. But otherwise, he's a great teacher.
Took his business calculus II class...Never miss the class and do your works and watch every steps you proceed, you should be good..I did not miss even a single problem and got an easy A... He is a good teacher...Highly recommended :)
Dr Seekri is an awesome professor. He is a very honorable man, and I appreciate his stern yet compassionate teaching approach. He is incredibly inspiring, and some of his stories (including the one about donantion- you'll see what I mean) are heart-touching. Unfortunately, I failed this class because I never went and I found it SUPER difficult.
Professor Seekri was an excellent teacher. I was having major problems with the class so I went to him and explained what was going on. He took me to the tutoring lab and introduced me to his assistant. He took me under his wing and tutored me. I ended up making an A in the class. Excellent teacher!!!
"Not Recommended" Extremely hard to understand unless he was your first math professor for Calculus. He has his own way of doing Calculus. Good Luck!
He is an excellent Professor. This class is very hard esp. over the summer but he is always willing to help. He really cares that you learn. He will push you to work hard. Get ready to study and spend a lot of time preparing for exams. Stay on top of the hw, don't miss class, go to tutoring, study, and you should be fine.
i agree with all the nice comments about him but here is one thing that is on the down side, you have to take cal one with him in order to survive his Cal two class. He demands a lot on the test and he expect you to know everything .One word to describe how he is : melodramatic .
Professor Seekri is really nice and helpful to his students. If you are dedicated to your subject and paying full attention in his class you should not have a problem.Mr Seekri have the perfect knowledge about what he is teaching. His tests are not very hard and mostyly from the homework. Mr Seekri is one of the best professor richland ever hava.
I took the summer cal class and I have to admit, I didn't like Mr. Seekri at first, but as the term went by I learned that he genuinely cares about his students. He is a great professor and always willing to help. He wants his students to do well. Teaches only what you need to know. Do your homework and you will ace the tests. Great professor!
DO NOT DO NOT DO NOT take this proffesor for a calc II summer class. Only if you have taken him for a calc I summer and done alright. I worked so hard. I went to tutoring, did the homework, studied all the time. Still got a D. I am A and B student. There is not time to meet his standards in a summer II calc class unless you know your stuff.
Raj is a wonderful teacher, he does teach differently like you may have read, but he teachers it right! He will call on you for some questions, but it is just to see if you know the material. He will work with you if you go to his office one on one. This is why I believe he is so wonderful; he cares about all his students and wants you to make an A
DO NOT TAKE THIS PROFESSOR! more than half the class dropped or failed. take this class at UTD its 10 times easier
He really does care about his students and does his best to help them out. It's not that he "teaches differently", but he gives you more options on how to do things unlike other teachers. Only thing I disliked is that he picks on people a lot but you do learn. Some test questions come straight from homework.
Math is my favorite subject. All A's College Alg, Trig, and Pre-Cal. NOW C at best in Calc. with this guy. There's 2 10-questions Exam @ 25% each (each problem worth 2.5%) for the whole year + Final (20%). NO NOTES on Test. NO room for error
I took Mr. Seekri for both 1325 and 1370. He is a good person and a good teacher.yes it is a hard class. you get out what you put in.If you want to learn calculus the right way take it with him. I took this class while taking 4 other classes at UTD and still made a B. I would recommend taking him.
He is a great teacher I had ever seen. I got A+ (100%) for his course.
Kind of teaches memorization style. Not fundamental. (i.e. like stating [cosx]^2 + [sinx]^2 = 1 ,but dont show how or why) but in CAL I it's sort of critical to know how those theorem or proof derive. Only got to chapter 5 out of 6 chapters for Spring. I retook it this summer and covered all 6.4 sections, it was fast paced but very thorough.
I took this class last semester. He is very helpful. If you follow his instruction exactly, you will be easy to get A+ hihi. I promise that. Take his course. I want to take his CALC 2.
Easy, but dont know much
If you're not good at math, don't take this class. He calls on people to answer questions & makes you feel stupid. He is a very strict teacher and you have to put in a lot of hours if you want to do well.
Sweet old man. Tests hard but takes problems of the "sheets"'and answers ANY q u have. ACE thing is stupid but I took for calc 1 and 2. Prob the best teacher I had at Richland
GET AWAY FAST.DO NOT take this proffesor for a calc II summer class. Only if you have taken him for a calc I summer and done alright. I worked so hard. I went to tutoring, did the homework, studied all the time. Still got a D. I am A and B student. There is not time to meet his standards in a summer II calc class unless you know your stuff.
DO NOT TAKE HIM FOR ANY SUMMER CLASSES . HE WILL FAIL YALL. SUMMER CLASS WITH HIM WAS JUST LIKE "HELL". HE DOES NOT HELP YOU AT ALL INSTEAD OF RUSHING YALL TO FAIL IT. HE FAILED 4 CALCULUS 2 STUDENTS LAST SEMESTER. SAVE UR GPA FOR OTHERS.
WE DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PROFESSOR FOR ANY SUMMER I OR II CLASSES . HE WILL FAIL YALL. NO HELP - NO EXTRA CREDIT AT ALL. WATI FOR REGULAR SEMMESTER IS BETTER. HE FAILED 5 STUDENTS LAST SEMESTER. FAIL OF TEACHING IN SUMMERS BUSINESS MATHS.
He failed me . I have to retake other professor. I am not recommend for all bus. math's students for HIS SUMMER CLASSES. Try it to see may be you love his way . for me , oh no and no and NO.
I took 1414 chose this professor because of the reviews, found out most were for business cal. He does okay lecture, but a lot of the time he gets off subject, threw me off a lot. At one point I ended up asking him for help on the material we went over and that I failed, he told me too look at my notes and do better next time. I dropped the class.
THE PROFESSOR OPENS MANY WAYS TO EARN EXTRA CREDITS. PROFESSOR IS ALWAYS GOES OVER AND GIVES THE HARD COPIES FOR TEST REVIEW QUESTIONS/ ANSWER 2 DAYS B4 THE TEST DAY.
if you take in Fall Semmester , you will see how good he is. He gives you many ways to earn extra credits. He gives you the hard copies for question/answers to study 2 days b4 the exams day. He is outstanding for Fall Semmester.
DO NOT RECOMEND FOR SUMMER CLASS. HE WILL FAIL YOU BECAUSE IT IS TOO MUCH PRESSURES FOR YOU , HE SAID. HE RECOMMEND FOR FALL SEMESTER IF YOU WANNA SOME ACE. HE FAILED ME. I HAVE TO WAIT FOR FALL SEMESTER TO RETAKE IT.
I took Mr. Seekri for both 1325 and 1370. He is a good person and a good teacher.yes it is a hard class. you get out what you put in.If you want to learn calculus the right way take it with him. I took this class while taking 4 other classes at UTD and still made an ACE . I would recommend taking him.
HE OPENS MANY WAYS TO EARN EXTRA CREDITS. HE GIVES THE REVIEWS QUESTION/ANSWER KEYS 2 DAYS PRIOR TEST DAY. SO YOU CAN STUDY IT.
HIS CLASSES ARE ALWAYS SOLD OUT. HE MUST BE GOOD . HE GIVES US LOTS OF XTRA BONUSES CREDITS.
HE OPENS MANY WAYS TO EARN EXTRA CREDITS. HE GIVES YOU THE EXAM REVIEWS 2 DAYS PRIOR TEST DAY. HE ALSO GIVES YOU THE HARD COPY QUESTIONS/ANWERS 2 DAYS B4 TEST DAY . SO YOU CAN STUDY IT. HIGH 5 FROM THIS PROFESSOR. HIS CLASS IS ALWAYS FULL. HE IS GOOD , THAT WAS WHY .
Do not take this guy for summer unless you desire to be failed. He is at least 70 years old and does not care if you pass or fail. Seems helpful sometimes, but then fails you anyways. I made a high B in my pre req class at a very prestigious university and he told me my pre req knowledge was insufficient and to retake his class in summer session 2
HE WILL GIVE YOU THE HARD COPIES OF THE EXAMS REVIEW WITH PRACTICE TESTS QUESTIONS / ANSWERS TWO DAYS PRIOD THE TEST DAY. HE ALSO OPENS MANY WAYS TO EAN EXTRA BONUSES CREDITS. AT THE END, EVERYONE EARNS AN ACE. OUTSTANDING PROF. @ RICHLAND COLLEGE.
Professor Seekri was great teacher and I truly like the way he teach. He is very clear and makes the subject very interesting. I took cal 1 may term and cal 2 summer 1 with him and I got both A+. He is not easy but if you attend the class and do all the home work assignment you would be great. I truly advice everyone to take him.
GREAT PROFESSOR. HE GIVES MANY WAYS TO EARN EXTRA BONUSES CREDITS.
LOTS OF EXTRA BONUSES CREDITS. WITHOUT THEM , WE WILL NOT SURVIVE . THX PROFESSOR.

SEEKRI is very organizing professor. Exams A, B, C & Final Objectives are very straight forward. He shows you what exercises pages numbers to practice on period test’s day. He always goes over the Exams objectives with you one day before the exam’s day. He makes sure gets one gets it down before exam’s day. He is an outstanding math1370 prof.
HE IS TOTALLY AWESOME. HE GIVES ALOT OF EXTRA BONUSES CREDITS. WITHOUT IT , WE COULD NOT SURVISE.
HE DOES NOT CARE OF GRADING. IF YOU DO IT , YOU PASS THE CLASS. THIS PROFESSOR IS VERY COOL PROF AT RICHLAND COLLEGE.

DR. SEEKRI ALWAYS GIVES YOU THE HARD COPY PRACTICE TEST OF EACH EXAM WITH QUESTION/ANSWER . SO YOU CAN STUDY TO ACCOMPLISH IT. THAT IS THE POWER OF TEACHING.
Dr. Seekri is by far the best and most helpful professor I have encountered in 4 years at RICHLAND COLLEGE. he is truly a gem of the University. GREAT teacher! Kind, helpful, will clarify things until you understand them, funny, real, and keeps every class interesting. Helpful with things even outside of HIS own class, can't wait to take HIS again!
Great professor. He gives yall the review 1 day b4 the test day . That is the power of love.
He was awesome! TAKE HIM!!!!!!made an A+ 8848
Really fantastic proff. One of the best, I think. Very helpful and nice!
He is very funny and knowledgeable. Tests come directly from his reviews and instructions for the essay were clear. Be punctual and do not argue with him unless you know your stuff.Easy class.
AMAZING! The Best professor by far! You learn so much and you do half the work most teachers make you do. I never really studied just skimmed by notes a day before exams because his lectures were so good they stuck with me! I mean he made me memorize even dates without even trying he's just that good. The man is a genius and incredibly sweet!
Very knowledgeable with lots of real life experience with willingness to share examples from his personal MATHERMATIC ! To get the most out of the lectures, however, read the texbook & study guides IN ADVANCE, then ask questions to clarify. Otherwise, you'll get lost in new terminology, which is covered FAST! Good overall.
One of the best professors in all aspects. Amazing teaching style, hardworking, caring for the students, etc. I learned a lot of subject matter from the course.
Incredible professor! I know he'll be the best professor I have at RICHLAND COLLEGE. Absolutely hilarious, made going to class very enjoyable, showed funny youtube videos, INCREDIBLE SENSE OF HUMOR. Hilarious t-shirts planned according to the daily lecture. But it isn't a super easy A, do have to study a lot for tests! TAKE HIM
I have a lot of respect for this prof. He is very good, and devoted. The class is interesting so take it if you can.
Really good lecturer and knows what he's doing. However you'll find yourself second guessing on exams alot. Do NOT underestimate them. Don't focus too much on notes when studying but know how to do his practice exams inside and out. GO TO HIS OFFICE AND ASK HIM QUESTIONS. He is the most useful resource in this class lol. Textbook is not used.
I love him. If you do what he tells you take good notes and remember the definitions and the cases you will do good. Everything that is in the exams he mentions at one point in class. Has a great TA. I actually learned a lot. If you are looking for an easy class it not it though.
Really, really great. Cares a lot about your grades and helping you. And very funny. Tests are fail and reasonable easy , too.
I enjoyed his class because I enjoy MATH. His grading his fair and he is very knowledgeable. Both helpful and condescending. The due date for test and assignments were changed and he didn't point that out in class at all.
good job professor.
Dr. Seekri is one of the best teachers I have ever had. He is prompt to return emails and test results, covers required materials completely, answers all questions, reviews before tests, and grades fairly. He is dedicated to teaching and cares about his students. Take his class if you want to learn calculus and are willing to do the work.
He was kind of intimidating when you answered a question incorrectly. I feel like he should have been a little more understanding instead of making us feel insulted for answering incorrectly.
I highly recommend Professor Seekri! He is extremely helpful and will never NOT answer a question. The class is not easy but his lectures help to understand the material. Go to class and do the homework and you will be able to make an A. His test reviews are great too! He genuinely cares about his students! Great teacher!
If students ask questions he would either answer back with another one or put down the student. He even walked out of the class once because no one was answering on how to do 1 of the problems, no one knew the answer, he could have explain it. Would only go 4 examples in class most of the time. No 1 passed the 1st test. No reviews. Don't take him
Seekri is a remarkable person!!! Teaches really well. Cares A LOT for your success. Inspirational. What made his class HARD was the syllabus. Course is out of 100pts, only two tests (5Qs on each plus an online part that is easy ) and one cumulative final. ***assigns homework from book, doing homework is optional, but ESSENTIAL to passing
heavy accent. confusing, but willing to explain. when you ask a question, he belittles you, not intentionally, but he does. truly wants you to understand and learn concepts. only 2 exams with cumulative final. 5 questions on exams. HARD. take someone else if you can. a lot of hw but not graded.
I've taken both Math 1324 & 1325 with professor Seekri. He's an amazing professor and human being. For many of us Math is not easy, but he always encourages you to ask questions and answers them patiently. He truly loves and cares about his students. His lectures are concise and if you truly care about learning you will love his class. TAKE HIM!!
Worst prof ever. Always says we're not prepared for this class because previous courses didn't teach us right and we should go over basics by ourselves. Insists on class participation but shoots down wrong answers. Encourages questions but his intimidating demeanor makes it difficult, and if you do ask he doesn't really explain that well.
I took Cal-1 with Professor Seekri and I knew so much from him. He explains clearly in his lecture and shows step by step to solve the math's problem. I am really like and enjoy in this class. you just need to pay attention in class and do homework, you will be fine.
Very good Professor! Professor Seekri is one of the greatest professors I've met. He's very clear and up front. He will answer every single question without hesitation. He will show every problem step by step. All he asks for though is that you have attempted the problem or Homework in general.
He is very intimidating he would ask you to answer a question but if you were wrong he looked at you like it was the end of the world. He also shared grades, well only the ones who got a 100 and would rub it in by making them stand in front of the class. This is the only bad report i have ever given a teacher, Please Just Find Another Professor
Although his tests can be hard, he gives you extra credit. He also gave us numerous chances to improve our grade, but he made you work for it. He doesn't speak clearly(accent), but he writes it on the board usually. He was a great teacher, he just expects a lot from his students. I feel like he wanted us to succeed. I'd take him again!
Take this class if you want to ruin your GPA
Great guy. Not so great teacher. I'm pretty good at math an I ended up dropping this class. If someone asked a question, he would look so disappointed because we didn't already know it and would make you feel bad for not knowing the answer. That was my downfall, I like to ask questions but I never did because I didn't want to be criticized.
Dr. Seekri was an amazing prof. He truly cares for his students! All he asks for in return is for his students to put in the time and effort to learn the material in & outside the class. He likes it when students ask questions from the homework because it shows you are trying. I have a lot of respect for Dr. Seekri and his passion for education.
Professor Seekri is truly an amazing professor. He genuinely cares for his students. Some may say he's discouraging but that's the opposite. He WANTS you to learn and UNDERSTAND the concept for future classes and references. If it sounds like he's being tough it's only because he is emphasizing on what you need to work more on. Great person overall
Mr. Seekri is the type of professor who expects you to spend long periods of time studying because during lecture "everything is obvious". His tests are tough! Half of the Q's look nothing like the H.W, something I personally disliked. Genuinely, he's a nice, caring person but I wouldn't recommend him.
Prof. Seekri was so patient and helpful to my class. He always answered every question we had, and never shot anyone down. He showed genuine interest in the learning of his students. I had prof. seekri for calc 1 in the summer and with his help learning calc 1 was a breeze. Definitely recommend!
Do not take this in summer school. I had to drop it because there is too much material.
An Awesome Professor, He is a knowledgeable professor and he teaches from basic. He answers all students questions and. exams are simple and similar to the lecture homework. He grades line by line creditable. On time and knows his syllabus is the best.
Dropped the class.... Because I don't remember some things from Pre-Calculus and did not understand the properties of Log.... I was tutored for 1 month and Mr. Seekri skipped parts on how to step by step, since I was supposed to remember, this was frying my brain.... Mr. Seekri is nice, but scolds all students for not remembering rules on Algebra
Dr. Seekri is one of the best teachers I ever had. The class is not easy, but he will take time to help you understand the material. He responds promptly to emails and gives feedback on tests promptly. His grading is fair and is based on material that is clearly and completely presented in class. If you want to learn, take his class.
I am not the best at math and was worried about taking this course, but professor Seekri answered every question I was unsure about and helped me understand it way better. He can seem intimidating, but he truly wants his students to learn the material in the proper way. Do the homework assigned, it will help you understand the material much better
Very hard class. He would talk down on you. Poor teacher.
calculus is hard, but Dr. Seekri presents his material very clear, and he is willing to explain and answers questions. Do the homework, no skip class, do my lab on time, review class note. Perfect and precise notes are pivotal to successes the class.
I never had a professor test me on my patience as much as he did. I'm on the dean's list, and I had to drop. He is very discouraging, and lacks communication skills in ever angel. I never had a professor crawl underneath my skin as much as he did. I see his passion, but he expresses in a egocentric way.
Professor Seekri is an incredible professor. You will learn the proper foundations of calc I necessary to do well in calc II. An A is within reach, only if you make an effort on your end. Review your notes on a daily basis, submit mymathlab assignments ahead of deadlines and complete homework assignments at the Learning Center for further guidance.
Worst teacher ever ! He says he cares about his students but he only cares about his "favorites" . He says he's there to help but he's not, not comprehensive at all!
GET AWAY. DO NOT TAKE HIM. He will make you feel dumb, hands down. He is super discouraging and asks the most weirdly worded questions. He grades TOUGH. many failed. One little screw up could cost your grade. If you do have him, make sure you're PAYING ATTENTION during class and write down EVERYTHING you see. do the extra credit!
Professor Seekri is a great professor. Dr. Seekri presents his material very clear, and he is willing to explain questions and answers. Do the homework on time, don't skip class, and review your class notes and you are certain to get an A. The class wasn't easy, but it thoroughly prepared me for all my future math classes.
well mr seekri he is genius and so kind person he would not mind explain to you again and again until you got it , so helpful, he give amazing reviews before the exams so helpful and will tell you what to read for exam , i recommended him 100000%
this was my second time taking mr raj i changed my whole schedule just to get in his class , if you hate math then take mr raj he will let you enjoy it and make it super easy , so humble and kind and helpful ,He give an amazing reviews before the exam just like the exam , recommended 100%
STOOOP LOOKING FOR ANOTHER PROFESSOR HERE IS THE ONE YOU NEED , PROFESSOR RAJ WILL DESTROY THE ROCKS FOR YOU AND WILL EXPLAIN EVERYTHING TO LET YOU UNDERSTAND , ALL OF THE HOMEWORKS ONLINE WILL GIVE YOU REVIEW BEFORE THE EXAM JUST LIKE THE EXAM
SUPER NICE AND KIND , REVIEW YOUR NOTES AND YOU WILL GET A NOT HEAVY MATERIAL HE WILL EXPLAIN EVERY SINGLE THING SO TAKE HIM AND DONT WORRY ABOUT MATH
Unfortunately, I was really upset that Seekri was not as great of a teacher like his reviews said he was. As a person, I respect him.. On the down side, he can sometimes be VERY discouraging. He is also an EXTREMELY tough grader. No extra credit is offered either. Sadly, more than half of my class dropped the class.
Dr. Seekri is one of the most genuine professors I have ever had. He genuinely cared for his students and wanted them to succeed. He also wanted to see students put in the effort, which is completely fair. He acknowledged hard work and gave extra credit to help students out. I took Math 1325 in the May term, which was hard, but worth it.
Expects you to know the material, and if you don't know it he will put you down for it. Tough grader and is not considerate at all. One little mistake could affect your grade. Don't take him!
Serious guy; not bad, but you might not take very well to his teaching methods; pretty old school. Tough grader; final exam was merciless. Some students may be afriad to raise their hands to answer because even though he doesn't mean to, he will kind of put you down if you don't answer the way he wants you to. First time I struggled in math.
A very humble professor who will teach you what you need to know and makes you work for your grade. He cares a lot about his students and wants them to pass. The negative comments on here are from students who don't put in effort and then blame the professor. You can't expect a good grade without effort!! Do your homework and textbook problems!
7 question exams that super intensive over the homework (200+ problems) Any one of them could be on the test. Extremely hard grader. No extra credit. If you are not good in math do not take home. 6 weeks in half the class withdrew. No exam reviews given either.
Definitely the teacher I respect the most, coming from a drop-out. Slow and intimidating but VERY HUMBLE & PATIENT teacher, GENUINELY cares about his students but challenges them for the sake of education. Not meant for everyone--ONLY TRULY DEDICATED & PATIENT STUDENTS w/ TIME. Takes 1-2 days to learn lesson; 1 month to truly COMPREHEND it.
The grading is ridiculous, mathlabs are only worth 20%, the rest are tests, and the tests are HARD, but they're based solely on the homeworks. I had him 2 years in a row and really loved him despite how difficult the class was. He bumped me from a 75 to an 80, as long as you show you care and are trying, you'll pass. DO THE HOMEWORKS!!
Personally, professor Raj is one of my favorite people at Richland. I see lots of comment about he is a tough grader, and that is not true! He's always try to give students as much credits as he can for any steps we show on the paper. He is a passionate and dedicated professor who loves his teaching job and want all of his students to be success :)
He is a dedicated teacher. He cares about his students a lot. Highly recommend him. Easy grader
I would not recommend anyone taking this teacher. He's not a bad teacher, but he's not great either. If you're not good with Algebra, you will struggle in this class. I've taken him twice and 2/3 of the class do not make it through the semester. I am taking this course at UTD and it's a lot easier. Take it elsewhere, unless you're really committed.
If math is not your best subject it is not a good idea to take this professor. He is fair and grades accordingly. However the work is heavy. Homework every day. Tests are all show your work. Points taken off for everything done wrong. Very respected and admired professor. Difficult class, but is possible to pass if willing to work extremely hard.
Dr. Seekri is an extremely honorable and inspirational professor. He is dedicated to students who truly value the course and work towards a goal of a good grade. The course material is difficult, however if you have any questions whatsoever do not hesitate to ask him and he will explain until you completely understand the concepts. Great Teacher!!
This professor does NOT teach. He only does examples in class and expects you to know exactly how to do it right after one example. He is not a great teacher, he has too high of expectations for his students in math. 3/4 of students drop his class. He also is not a fair grader. He will make you feel like an idiot, even if you try really hard.
Dr Seekri is a good professor. He is really patient when he teaches, so before moving foeward he makes sure that you understand. my advice; don't be afraid to ask him any question and practice on the sheets and exercises he gives because they are similar to questions on the test. take him he is a great teacher and you will learn a lot.
Professor Raj did an outstanding job through the semester explain to us about calculus 1 and he also gets us ready for calculus 2. if you work hard and do not skip any class and follow what Mr raj telling you in the class you will learn a lot and get an A
this class is difficult but with the devotion of professor Seekri in teaching students, I got great results and more important, I obtained the knowledge that benefit my degree in the future. Professor Seekri is one of the best math teachers I have ever learned with.
Professor Seekri is one of the best math teachers I've ever had. His class definitely is not easy but not impossible to get a good grade. You gotta work hard for it, but it's completely worth it. Tests are fair. Showing step by step and you'll get full credit even though your answer might not correct :)
DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS. I've tested past College Algebra level multiple times but still had to take this class as a requirement; his teaching methods were so awful and convoluted that I ended up with the first C of my entire life. Nice guy if you're smart in class; rude and unhelpful if you ask questions. Tests are a nightmare. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!
If you do not put work in do not expect a good grade. The professor is respectful and caring but does not give out freebies. You must, I repeat, you must show up to class and do the homework to be successful in this class. I enjoyed my time in this class, it was a rewarding challenge.
Dr. Seekri is a wonderful teacher and person. Business calculus is a hard class. But Dr. Seekri wants you to get a good grade and understand what you're learning. If you do the homework and study well, you'll earn your high score. His math 1325 provided so much info and we covered the basics of calculus so well, MATH 1326 at UTD was not that hard.
Professor Seekri is an excellent instructor. He cares about his students and their successes. Professor Seekri is willing to explain the materials again if you have questions. He is very patient in explaining and teaching the lecture. Calculus is not easy, but if you study hard and spend time doing homework, you will definitely get A.
Professor Seekri has a kind a heart and is an excellent supporter. I had him for my 1st semester at Richland and I learned a lot. He was willing to help me learn and provided the tools necessary for me to succeed. I just had to do my part and be apt to learn. I highly recommend him as he prepared me for the challenges of the real world.
Not only will you get a professor that cares, but you will also learn from a professor that is knowledgable. Professor Seekri strives to make his students succeed and learn. In his class I was able to push and challenge myself to pass the course.
I took this course during the summer, would not recommend. Dr. Seekri is very passionate about calculus and teaching, but very tough/ tedious grader. At least half of the class failed. If you are struggling a few weeks into the class you should drop the course, and retake with another professor or during a longer semester.
Challenging material but Professor Seekri used very clear terminology to apply the principles to any math assignments. Introduced us to the math lab team for extra support in subject. Thorough exam review. Short tests. Gives partial credit when you properly show your work. No homework on the weekend. Put in the work and you will pass.
Professor Seekri is a great professor. It's a tough class, all calculus classes are, HOWEVER, if you can get through his course you will be able to do well in any other Calculus course. He knows a lot and will help in any way he can, however, you have to put the initiative in. Do the homework and come to class.
Prof. Seekri is a kind, creative and sincere educator. His remarkable teaching ability and optimistic personality makes his class so enjoyable. His unique teaching approach draws attention to students. He also uses his own supplementary materials to help understand tough business calculus questions. I highly recommend to take his Math classes.
Professor Seekri is wonderful. The material maybe challenging, however, professor Seekri can make the difficult part very clear and easy to understand. He is so helpful and inspirational, he cares every student in class. If you pay attention and focus on review homework question before exam, that won't be hard to get an A. Highly Recommended.
He is without a doubt very knowledgeable in the subject and he cares about students in his own weird way but he IS NOT a good teacher. He spends half of he class time teaching and the other half he expects people to bring problems to the board and solve them. I'm not great at math but I'm not bad at it by any means, I was completely lost week 2.
Hardest professor. Expects you to pretty much know everything. If you have taken calc before it will most likely be easy. If its your first then I do not recommend. Does not know how to teach. My mathlabs dont do anything. They are nothing compared to the tests.
If you want to learn real stuff I will highly recommend to select professor Seekri's class. I used to be so bad at math, while on his class he made everything clear to me. Instead of getting answer for one particular question, he inspired me thinking methods to solve problems. Professor Seekri gave me a lot of help and inspiration on math study.
If you think you are good at math, he will make you look stupid. I wouldn't recommend this professor for anyone.
Whether you take this class one or multiple times, the outcome will be the same if you don't put in the work. The key for me in passing this class is the tutoring sessions because they are ran by students who have passed in the previous semesters. It will be a good idea to become good friends with them. Attending every class is highly recommended.
Professor Seekri is a good teacher overall. I took his class again, and realized he is a good teacher. Professor Seekri will go at your pace if he has to. He also encourages to use the student resources offered at Richland. Also, he does give out a lot of homework to practice on. If you do the homework and attend class, the class will be easier.
Professor Seekri is a really detailed professor. Goes at your pace, encourages to use Richland's student resources, and encourages participation. However, he does give out plenty of homework to practice. As long as you attend class, and do the assignments; the class should be easy. Also, he encourages to work as a group and gives good feedback.
Raj Seekri is an outstanding professor , he always make sure in his class that every one completely understands the method and encourages his students to ask him questions. He is very knowledgeable and hard working professor and always determined to help his students..
Raj Seekri is an outstanding professor . He is very knowledgeable and hard working professor and always determined to help his students.., and he always make sure in his class that every one completely understands the method and encourages his students to ask him questions
Professor Seekri is very passionate of his work. He is borderline passionate to a fault. He welcomes questions from students, but be ready to be put on the spot if you make any errors. He is very reasonable and will do what he can to help you. Don't miss a class and use the math lab to your advantage.
He is not very clear with his teaching. Would not recommend.
This was the toughest class I've taken so far. I got 95/100 overall. you have to work hard for it. Review everything he goes over in class, take note and don't hesitate to ask questions, he will take time to explain to you. I don't recommend this class to anyone don't take Math srl. I came to Math tutor almost every day after class. I learned a lot
Its hard to understand him and personally he wasnt good at explaining the subject. He expected you to know certain things that some of us didnt know.
He is very passion in teaching for students. Answering all of the questions and problems from student's given questions. He never ignore any students ' questions to make you understand and clear what he teaches. You have to practice, study carefully and do assignments to make sure you do exams well. Study for yourselves.
This Class is hard, but Professor Seekri is very good! If you do the HW, practice and ask questions you will do good. Many students rate him bad because they didnt do their part & failed. He genuinely cares about his students success and will answer all your questions. You just have to do your part. It is an honor to be one of his students.
As an international student who really love math, I can tell you professor Seekri is difficult. Don't listen those who said that student who said this class is difficult are students we don't study. I study a LOT. International students don't take him because you cannot drop. I always got A in all my classes even Math 1324, but not in this class
Unclear teacher! you have to do yourselves. He gave homework but did not check it right or wrong, until you ask him. He is very backward b/c everything on test must be done step by step as his requirement( cannot skip any step if you don't lose your grade). It's HARD to get HIGH GRADE in his class, no way to improve your grade and no extracredit.
AVOID HIM! hes the toughest grader, and wants everything his way !
The worse professor Ever. 5 Students Passed Out Of 36 You can tell The Rest How He Is.
First of all, he is a caring professor. He wants to make sure all student understand. Therefore, he will give you a lot of chances to ask question, and he never ignore any question. I didnt get a high grade on test 1, but I did better on test 2. Therefore, he gave me a chance to improve my grade by replacing my lower grade.
Calculus is hard but if you take Prof. Seekri, you will learn a lot. He gave you a little bit of homework on mymathlab; also some extra exercises which are not required to practice. He always ask if we have any questions and he will explain so carefully step by step. Take him and you wont regret. He is knowledgeable and caring professor.
Hands down worst professor I'v ever had. Doesn't explain material clearly, doesn't engage students, and uses proprietary methods which isn't reflected in the online homework modules. If you use the methods from that on the test you get NO credit. Avoid him.
I really like the course because Professor Seekrj always teaches us his best wholeheartedly. He has showed that he actually care and want us to learn and improve at Calculus. I know that many students give negative comments about him because they don't get good grade. However, Prof. Seekrj is a honest person, he wouldn't give you high score unless
Professor Seekri is so friendly, outgoing. He makes inspiration and explains why students should learn seriously. I am a hundred percent agree with him. Because MATH 1325 looks like a basic of Mathematical business in business or finance majors. If a student does not learn seriously, they will do not know how to apply well they graduate
Some of these reviews are questionable. This professors lectures are very hard to understand. I would never recommend him to anyone. He expects you to know a lot of previous information in order to build on it. Of a class of 36 only 4 passed. After the first week of class the majority of the class dropped. Please choose someone else.
Best math professor I have ever had. He gives extra credit, free online tutors, he cares about students and always ask students if there is any question they would like to ask. I don't understand the bad reviews. In his class if you don't study you will not pass like any other class but I feel that student want to get grades without studying.
DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!
Professor Seekri is an extremely nice, good professor. I had course MATH 1314 with him for May term. He cares about the students, and he makes sure we are all learning correctly and be able to answer questions on exams. He is very patient to answer all the student's questions, and he will also make sure that we all understand it.
Professor Seekri is really a great teacher. Many people think it's a hard class. Yes, it is, but as long as you attend class regularly, take notes carefully, review his materials in class, and do homework, you will pass this class easily with an A. Professor Seekri is always willing to help you if you have any questions.
I like this professor so much. He is a very thoughtful professor. Dr. Seekri Raj has strong knowledge about math and he always knows what he is doing when solving math problems. The way he taught and lectures he gave are also very helpful. I had good experience in attending his class.
Professor Seekri is not like many professor i've have taken here at Richland. He truly CARES about the development and knowledge of his students. Just come prepared remember it is your life. How bad do you want to succeed and make the grade? He is always available for help outside of class for Calculus I definitely recommend if your taking CAL 2&3
Seekri is awesome teacher. He always asks if his students have any questions and he will answer clearly right away. He does not teach fast until all students can understand that lessons. He also gives online tutor that helps a lot. Specially, you will easily get an A when you pay attention in class and do all homework he requires.
Never take summer classes with him because this professor's teaching style is more suited for a whole fall/spring semester and for students who are very... enthusiastic about math. And there are no formulas to learn for antiderivatives and derivatives. Another note to add is that you should really learn about logarithms before coming to his class.
Inspirational father and prof. Just that he is TOUGH lol
I am very curious is it possible to tell to anyone that this professor doesn't teach or explain the topic at all. 55 min. we spent on solving only one problem and the rest time he is telling to us that we all will fail. If you ask anyone on campus about this professor you will never get positive feedback. Why should students spend time and money?
This professor is literally the worst. He starts every class so negative and tells us about not having time to teach everything. He spends all class on 1-3 examples & his exams are all show your work oh BTW work must shown exactly like how he teaches it.(No partial credit ever)Overall, he is super monotone, strong accent, terrible writing on board.
Professor Seekri deeply cares about his students and their success, you will learn a lot from him. He will be the first professor to truly challenge your intellectual ability. You will walk away more than prepared for higher level maths, a thorough understanding of what youve learned and nothing but respect for this noble man.
I took Dr. Seekri's Calculus I over the summer and he was extremely helpful. The time to cover all the material was very little, but Dr. Seekri did an amazing job explaining the concepts. His exams can be difficult because they test your knowledge of all the material covered as well as algebra and trig concepts, but they prepare you for Calculus II
Teaching style: on the board lectures. He will work problem after problem with you until you understand the material, and will do so with patience. Character: he is one of the most respected professors Ive had the pleasure of being in class with. He cares deeply for his students. Advice: he is a tough grader so practice if you want to pass.
I took Cal 1 this summer, and received B. Honestly, it's the first B on my science classes, I got all A grades for others. However, Professor Seekri is the best I've seen in Richland. It's a great class for students who real love math. He lets me know I need to avoid some small mistakes on exams which the same as my life. If you love math, take it.
Prof. Seekri is really tough, but he teaches very well. Tests are heavy as hell, but if you study hard, you may pass. Also, if you are good he will recommend for you to be a tutor.
I took Raj Seekris Business Calculus expecting to pass. However things took a turn. Seekri cares about his students a lot however despite my best effort I received a 45 in the class. Your grade is comprised of four tests which are 25 points each and have around seven questions. So good luck and do not take this prof unless you wanna put the work in
Provides a good learning environment
Dr. Seekri is possible the worst math professor I've had, he does very few questions in class and then get easily distracted and talks about random things about life. Making it hard to learn, and is hindering the learning of the class, get ready to teach yourself everything.
I highly recommend you guys with Professor Seekri. He inspired me a lot in Mathematics. He really cares about his students and he always hopes the best things for their future. Tests might be hard and require efforts but they are worth it, especially for those who will work on this amazing field.
This class can be a real challenge to some people. However, professor Seekri way of teaching is amazing and very helpful. Before every test, he spends almost a week answering questions and reviewing material. Also, he usually arranges extra online tutoring for us. Make sure to do the WebAssign as well as the class homework. Exams are based on them
If you want to learn from a genuinely passionate professor and are willing to put in the work, choose Dr. Seekri. He will walk you through all your questions in class, but there are only 3 exams, 10 questions each, all free-response. However, I wouldn't recommend him for online because he just links another professor's videos from YouTube.
If you only want to pass easily, turn around. Dr Seekri is and inspirational teacher and he explains things in great detail. You need to participate in class, he won't explain homework if you don't ask what you're stuck on. There's 3 test, each with 10 question (total 30 points per test) and homework on WebAssign accounts for the rest 10 points.
The online course was awful! Calculus 1 is so difficult and he Just sends videos on youtube and you have to study by your self-study! 3 exams each one 30 points. if you miss one exam you fail. NO review exam, no zoom class. He does not care about his student. Do not take classes with him at least during this pandemic time that you do not have...
Here's my problem with the professor I took him for an online class and there was and he had no part in any part of the class. Teaching was done by a former student of his and he only responds by email. Also, he doesn't tell you what you get wrong and grades tough on exams, which count for 90% of your grade. DON't take, take someone else
I took this class over the summer and it was the hardest class I have yet to take, including calculus 2. I will say that it might take you an extraordinary amount of effort to pass this class, but you will have the strongest solid defendable understanding of calculus you can get. Also notable, professor Seekri really does care about his students.
Take Mr. Seekri if you already know calculus and just need a credit. Don't take his class if you need to learn calculus. He did not offer any live lectures, recorded lectures, or set office hours. He relied only on Pearson videos and difficult tests. He was sometimes insulting, rather than helpful, to struggling students.
DO NOT take any math class with this professor, not online. I am literally begging you. I've never dropped a class before, but this one was impossible. The professor takes no part in this class, did not bother to post videos or anything at all, left me and my classmates confused having no other choice but to drop or fail (I emailed them to be sure)
When classes went online during covid, we didnt hear from him for 4weeks. Were taught by a former student of his who didn't know what Seekri was expecting of us. Seekri contacted us 4 weeks after the school went online to inform us of an exam that was 40% of our grade was in a few days. Horrible class, hw and textbook aren't useful.
I liked the class.
He is pretty good, the online class was pretty straightforward with just some homework and tests. There is quite a bit of homework but the deadlines are far so you have plenty of time to complete them and turn them in. The test have a lock down browser so don't try to cheat even though are ways :-) Definitely would take him again!
He will always motivate you.
Professor Seekri cares about his students, but be prepared to earn your grade. He requires that you show you work for tests - even when online. One knock on this professor is the lack of feedback; I passed all of my tests, but I was not told which questions I answered incorrectly. If online, be prepared for no input from the professor.
Professor Seekri is an amazing teacher that cares authentically for his students. When I took Calculus I with him, he helped me not only to improve and remember the basics but also to enjoy the new topics. Take into account, that all of the resources provided by him go together with a lot of hard work and discipline from one's side.
Professor Seekri left me with the most special feeling after a semester of studying his course. He always cares about his students and their future. You need to really pay attention to even the simplest details in order to get a good score on the tests. The professor is a very careful and thoughtful person, giving a very careful assessment of tests
He's really attentive to each and every student's progress. Although it's online you can feel that he cares that you understand the questions and how to do them with logic. You need to pay attention to what is said in class, to do homework and those questions will reappear on the test with some changes. You need to put in work to get good grades.
Professor Seekri is an amazing teacher. He truly cares about his students and his/her success in and out of class. You will personally grow educationally and maturity wise.
This Professor stands alongside the most respected people in my life. In and outside of the classroom he communicates his well wishes and hopes for your future success. Admittedly his courses are not easy, but they are rewarding. In conclusion, I am grateful to have had the opportunity to take his class.
Because of the excellent dedication to help students change their lives through education, professor Seekri has awarded the NISOD Excellence Award which provides NISOD-member colleges with an opportunity to recognize individuals doing extraordinary work on their campuses. I truly believe that professor Seekri deserves for this award.
The amount of homework is not small and it is not easy, but you will be given enough time to finish them. If you have any questions, professor Seekri will answer them immediately. If you do all the homework and understand everything, you will definitely get a high score in the exam. It's not hard to get A if you put in the continuous effort.
He is a wonderful teacher. I am glad he was my professor for business calculus.
As his student, youre not only being prepared for math, you're also being prepared for life. He cares about your success, and not just in the finite time you're taking a course. Paying attention to his example & listening to his words of wisdom will give you way more skills than what is listed on the syllabus, + training you for life & "adulting."
Dr Seekri is one of the best professors I have ever had. Work hard, if you dont understand go to the alec and then ask him. He wants to help you and see you suceed. I almost dropped his class at the beginning but I decided not to last minute and with his help I was able to understand the concept and passed his course. He genuinely cares and helps
Professor Seekri is a very passionate professor that wants the best for his students, he teaches with this same passion and expects his students to work hard. Through him I have learnt to give my best in every classes I have taken. As long as you work hard and put enough you will get a good grade in his class.
I took his online class and he is no help. He links other professors lectures and just gives us homework assignments. I emailed him for help and he just told me to try harder. The tests are 20 points each and he will not tell you what you did wrong. Do not take his class online. Avoid if possible.
Professor Seekri is very knowledgeable and a well-respected teacher. The class itself is rigorous and heavily based on tests. However, he will always answer your questions so dont be afraid to go up to the board and ask! Make sure you understand how to do your homework as they are similar to the tests. You will definitely learn a lot!
I definitely Recommend Pro. Seekri. He is a very helpful, Knowledgeable, and Humble person. Overall. calculus 1 is a hard class unless you are good at it. This course requires a lot of work and practice but Prof Seekri is always available to answer your questions even after class. Don't skip any class and Don't be afraid of asking questions.
The worst professor. The grade consisted of 3 tests at 30% each and homework at 10%. He barely explains the concept of the material and refuses to give additional assistance outside of class when asked. He spends every lecture criticizing how bad the class have done on the tests. More than half of my class ended up dropping his class.
I just filed a formal complaint against him. I cant have someone this unreasonable blowing up what could be my future. To give you some perspective, if you miss 3 questions out of the 80% test (80 questions) weight of the whole grade. For someone who doesnt even teach his lessons thats bold. Just avoid and have a great semester with another prof
If you miss 4 out of 80 test questions broken into 4 tests, say goodbye to an A. Another 4 questions missed, say goodbye to a B. Horrible professor, zero compassion and disgusting attitude towards success.
Im 90% sure he rates and reviews himself here on rate my professor. Half my class dropped him
The worst community college has to offer
The professor is caring and does wish success upon his students. His teaching methods were bad, it was hard understanding, barely explains the concept, always made mistakes and students corrected him, 80% dropped the class. 3 tests, 10 questions, 30% each, and 10% homework. Told me I needed to study 3-4 hours every day..... Not a great professor.
Weighs tests at 80% of whole grade. If you can still drop it, do so. He offers no extra credit and is extremely insensitive to your needs and shows no kindness. YOU WILL FAIL!!!!
He is really a nice person. If you can build up a good relationship with him, you will easily overcome any difficulty. He is a very nice human being and a great professor as well.
I would definitely take professor Raj Seekri again. He is wise and he cares for his students. At the beginning of class, he always explains the new concepts carefully. He takes time to solve the problem in class and he tries to answer as many questions as he can. Professor Raj Seekri has an amazing father who inspires to be a teacher.
Very genuine person and wants everyone to succeed and makes sure you understand. But does not explain methods clearly, students would ask him a question and he does not answer it. If you skip class and dont ask for notes the next day, you will be very lost. No extra credit either.
Do not take him. He is a horrible teacher. The worst community college has to offer
If youre not afraid of a brain inducing challenge want a teacher who is caring about his work and his students, fully comprehensive in their field of study, I mean like this man will break one simple equation down STEP by STEP MOLECULE by MOLECULE Then I highly and proudly recommend you taking Raj Seekri although it may be difficult. ASK QUESTIONS!
He is really caring and genuine person.
He is an amazing instructor. He cares deeply for each of his students and wants them to learn and understand everything they can. He provides countless opportunity for success in his course and is exceptional at creating a learning environment that welcomes any type of student. He is a joy to learn from and I would highly recommend for any student.
Never in my life have I ever met such an awful math teacher...... He expected us to figure out alot of things on our own. notes were no help. He does not teach the concepts needed for his course. He just does the math not explaining as to why we are doing in that way. Then we get lectured about not doing well on tests. 0/10
Constantly forgot to unlock the course content. Slow at replying to email. Technologically inept. Doesn't even use his own lectures. Couldn't read most of first test because he pasted blurry screenshots. Lost my work and then counted 70% of my test wrong for "not submitting work." Absolutely DO NOT take.
Taking class for summer semester. The teacher is not bad, summer sessions are just difficult for math tbh, We have 5 weeks and on MyLabMath we had 40 assignments. Uses other ppl's lectures but they're not bad, plus organic chemistry tutor on YT exists. scheduled an exam on Juneteenth and when I pointed it out he rescheduled the exam. W prof imo
For me, this class was easy but also hard (maybe because of taking calculus my last year of high school). Taking the class online was nothing I expected. He gives a set amount of work due on a specific day along with 3 test. Rude email responses. Your final grade consists of only three tests (20% each) and final exam (40%).
Quite unable to make students understand simple topics. lots and lots of homework.
I wouldnt recommend this class, he gave us 9 homeworks in one day, he doesnt explain, anything well, he doesnt answer questions.
DON'T TAKE HIM. He couldn't explain topics clearly, taught things out of order, couldn't understand questions when asked, and a single test was worth 30 points out of your final grade. To pass the class, you will have to teach yourself the entire course. If you want a good grade and to understand the course, take someone else.
Coming from university and having taken difficult courses such as CALC 1, PHYS 1, and PHYS 2, I was initially relieved to take BCALC 1325 with Professor Seekri. However that did not last. The lectures were unclear, exams made up 90% of your grade (does not allow formula charts), and little explanation was given on examples in class. Do not take.
Very awful. Not good for online class at all.
Terrible Professor. Very few assignments and low scores. Tests are too much.
Don't take him if you want to learn something and pass the class. There's 3 tests that were 30 points each from the final 100 of our grade, homework made the remaining 10. Don't trust the high reviews, they're probably bots or the professor rating himself. He doesn't understand students' questions and teaches lessons out of order. Don't Take Him.
He is a tough grader, and his lessons can be very confusing.
I took Math 1325 online, and it was hell. The lectures and homeworks were easy/clear, but the test is way tougher. The homeworks and lectures will not prepare you for the test. I did everything right, but when I see the test It was like a total new subject. The test worth 20% x 3 of your grade, and no extra credit.
Seekri is not a good teacher. Don't take his class. He yells at his students, and lies about curves. When you try to remind him he denies everything. He doesn't care about his students and tries to guilt trip his students. He doesn't explain anything and doesn't help. There's no extra credit and the grades are mostly test. His tests are very hard.
Seekri's teaching is a total nightmare, all the reviews are lies. Constant yelling and ignoring any helpful feedback. You're on your own in his class, no support whatsoever. Forget about extra credit or breezing through tests; he makes everything unnecessarily hard. AVOID Seekris class like the plague for a less miserable academic experience.
He doesn't really explain anything so much as he just does the math in front of you so you can copy it, which was my main problem with his class because I genuinely learned nothing. It's doable if you just follow what he has to say, but there really isn't much else you can do about it. He was the only one teaching this course when I took it.
I dont think he has a heart for students, he does not care for them or their mental health. He gives no curves, expects you to do all the work in a 5 week summer course and does not help you at all, he just gives you the work and the exam. And he expects you to pass. I do not recommend at all.
Professor Raj's teaching style takes some getting used to, but engaging with the system pays off. The lectures and textbook are helpful, and tools like unstuckstudy ai can be great for study prep. Overall, a rewarding class if you're willing to put in the work.
I do not know despite this website I still took his class!!!!> I did not knew this guy make u do extra work onlineeeee. U have to show work and he has to read it and boom boom. If it misses point he cutting of grades. I say take different prof and he is worst as a teacher and human. I don't even know why they still let him be a prof. !!!!!!!!!!!
I took this class online. It was pretty decent. His test are hard but If you study well and show him what you did in exam like full method you will pass this class. Webcam plus external camera 4 feet away. Emails quickly and provide information clearly if you don't understand.
He is not exactly... warm. Taking him online was terrible, the homework load was very heavy. He doesn't let you turn anything in late regardless of circumstance. Tests are hard, he grades harshly.
too much test. you will need external webcam for exam and you need to show your work separately in the ecampus. if you miss a one or two question then you get B. He does not teach anything in his online class. He just uploads video of someone and the video he uploads does not even explain the question he gives on his homework.
He is a strict professor who values attendance, punctuality, and class participation. Students are encouraged to ask and answer questions. Tests are based on notes and textbooks, so reviewing well can lead to an A. He doesn't accept late homework, but he's helpful when students need support with assignments.
He is good but you have to understand he is old school. So, his way to teach a bit hard to understand at the very first time. However, his home work and test are not heavy. ONLY one thing you have to do is patient with him and pay attention with his lessons. Practice more than 5 times you will understand them. I'm not good on math but it good
Honestly don't take his class. You MUST show the work you did on tests and will have to use an external webcam that is 4 feet away at your side. He locked test 3 for me only until 9pm and didn't give me an extension. Didn't offer alt for ext cam after telling him I couldn't get one. Accused me of cheating after taking the final at a testing center.
My advice: Do NOT take his class if you are in another 8 week course and/or work load course. He is a good person I'm sure - but his class is not for people with lives outside of school.
Not for the faint of heart.
He is very nice. He is the easiest I had got. Less homework, questions on test and practice are same. You just need to practice and practice. A bit hard to understand with communication, but he just want you to successfully. I wish I can take him again but he isn't teaching my next class.
DO NOT TAKE ANY OF HIS CLASSES worst professor I've ever had, and it was an online class... workload was heavy and no partial credit was given during tests, contradicting what was stated in the syllabus. Seekeri never responded to any of my emails and left me wondering what my grade was. DO NOT TAKE HIM,
Very hard class and would be angry if you did not understand. Half of the class did not even come for the final. But if you have this class and work really hard I can see someone getting a very high score, but if you are balancing many classes at once, very difficult.
Idk about in-college student but if you are taking an online class, your life is going to be hard. He gives a lots of homework, and even thought the test are like 10 questions, the questions are hard and you gotta show work and a webcam on your side. And the worst part is that the test are worth 85% of the whole class. And he replies emails fast.
