Hard course, expect a lot of work and hw. Nice professor but he is way too strict.
Her lectures can get a bit confusing since she gets tongue tied with her words. ALOT of HW.. She's very strict during tests. "everyone put all your things in front of the class & cellphone in your bag". She will assign your seat before testfinals, which is a BIG waste of time. Btw ALOT of ppl dropped her class from 60s to 30s, so your call. Lol
Not good at elaborating & talking.
Her lectures are clear. She always answers questions. Tests are usually curved and similar to those reviews she gives. A lot of homework but she offers extra credit.
Her lectures are unclear as she usually messes up a lot at the board. Homework is similar to lectures, but quizzes and exams are definitely NOT. She doesn't give much partial credit either so it's usually all or nothing. Be prepared to be rush on quizzestests and don't expect good feedback. Unless you're good at teaching yourself, DO NOT TAKE HER.
DONT TAKE HER! I barely made It with a C and I studied for days and hours. Two ppl got As but that's because they read the book and watched online videos. They did not learn from her. She's not a good teacher, she discourages a lot of students too. Says one thing then changes it. Tests are impossible in such little time. Worst teacher at delta.
She's bad! You almost need to know as much as her to pass her tests. Since her lectures are right from the book you're better off watching Youtube videos and reading the book than going to class. Her lectures should be more relevant to tests, quizzes and homework. She treated us like we were in high school. She made us get up and move for tq. Why?
I took her class in Manteca. She's the best! She explains things so well. Her reviews before the tests help so much! I am not good at math but I got a A in her class!
She is nice, but not a good teacher. The homework does not prepare you for the quizzes, and the quizzes do not prepare you for tests. I could get 100% on relevant online practice quiz questions, but lose points for dumb reasons on the real ones. I had gotten a solid A in calc1 from another prof, but gave up on Kaur's calc2 class 2 weeks from final
Don't do this to yourself. Take barker or even Linburg! (is that how you spell her name?). Anyway, dude she cannot teach. She makes students feel hopeless and wants them to fail. Maybe she got a C in this class or something so she doesn't want you to pass. Tests are impossible. Quizzes are like mini tests! If you want a D or F take her.
DO NOT TAKE HER! The lectures were very confusing and you have to self learn through the whole semester. The online hw did not prepare you for the quizzes and tests. The tests were really hard and there wasn't enough time to finish them. The class was still doing the final when she asked to collect the tests. Half the class dropped out by the end.
She spends most class time going over problems on the whiteboard and giving examples, but also gives weekly quizzes on the recent homework.
She treated us like high school kids by making us move before quizzestests. Homework was useless since testsquizzes were completely different. She should be your "last resort" teacher.
This class was not easy! All the homework was online though. It helps to read the book. She mostly lectured out of the book. I think it was her first time teaching the class, but she helped me a lot during office hours though.
She gives homework and collects it on Mondays. There is some extra credit on homework. She also gives class work every day. If you do all the class work, you will pass. She is a good Algebra teacher.
Took it in spring. Kaur's a fair teacher. She gives partial credit on tests and quizzes. I was between B and C at the end. I got a B because I did all my homework.
WARNING DO NOT EVER TAKE. EVER!!. Complete & utter self teach this is not even a prof. who should be teaching this course (MATH 2) had absolutely no consistency in the study plan. Homework did not prepare you for the quizzes, quizzes did not prepare you for tests, and only students who sought help from other profs. (yes profs.) passed. RIDICULOUS.
I'm not denying her intelligence, but this professor just can't teach to save her life. She goes over the exact examples in the book, assigns online hw that doesn't prepare you for her quizzes or tests. She expects a lot from students even though she inputs very little to help her students succeed. Expect to teach yourself. She's unorganized.
She explained everything well. I learned a lot from her calculus course. She is a fair grader. The summer course had online homework, three quizzes, one midterm, and a final. Because it was during the summer, it was difficult to grasp all the information. However, if someone takes her class during a regular semester, the course would be easy.
Very unorganized. Test dates are constantly moved. You will constantly have to correct her and relearn topics yourself.
Her lectures are clear and easy to understand. The tests are fair. I took for for math 92 and she was also good in that class.
homework 100 questions, next class homework 100 quesions, all due next class. you dont even have time to do other class work, had to drop it, she was teaching too fast and expects her students to just know it.
When she gives lecture she goes through the example too fast, she doesn't explain things thoroughly. Be prepared to go home and teach yourself from the book because she also leaves a lot of things out. Class is short but if she cut out the "problem of the days" and "groupworks" students might learn more they're not beneficial, just more work.
Kaur is awesome! She does lecture kinda fast so I would have to ask her to repeat things. Know your algebra. She is extremely helpful and wants to see her students pass. Her test were hard but if the class didn't do well as a whole she would curve or allowed us to do corrections to earn some points back. Grade based on hw quiz n test. DO all HW!
She makes this course more difficult than it can be. She expects ALOT of background knowledge in Algebra and moves fast in her teaching. Very unorganized and inconsistent with test dates, quizzes, homework, and grading. Tests are tough and are her grading method is ridiculous. Save yourself the stress and chose another professor.
She Was a good teacher but see needs some help explaining some problems and she never goes over the homework.
Overall an excellent teacher. Clear lectures, step by step explainations. Lots of homework. I spent about 2 hours /night, but helped me be prepared for exams. Strict grading policy. Must turn in all homework on time. Thorough exams. Extremely helpful and willing to answer questions or explain problems in class, in her office, or by e mail.
DO NOT TAKE!! SHE RUSHES THROUGH MATERIAL AND EXPECTS YOU TO KNOW IT. HER GRADING METHOD IS RIDICULOUS TESTS AND QUIZZES ONLY. YOU WILL REGRET IT IF YOU TAKE HER.
I can write a 5 paragraph mla format essay on reasons why NOT to take classes. If math is your strong point and you can learn without even coming to class, you might get by. Be prepared to do non-beneficial "groupwork" and problem of the days/homework that wont help you. Before quizzes selects students where to sit to make sure they wont cheat LOL
She gave extra credit for attending workshops outside of class. Her lectures were clear. She goes fast, but the work in class help me learn better. I am taking her again for 92.
This class was not easy but she helps in office hours. Held many extra office hours. Could not have passed the class without all the extra help!! She actually cares about her students.
teacher does not give a feedbad on your work. Moreover its hard to understand her. her class is not that bad but I would not take her again
I took her 8 week class. She is a good professor. She explains better than any professor i had before. She gives time to work on problems in class. The tests are fair. Study the guides she gives before tests.
Lectures are easy to understand. The classwork helps with test prep. The final was harder than the tests but i did okay because i went to all the final reviews.
For my class, calc,a hybrid class. She tells you what to look out for on the exams, she prints papers out for you to write your notes on,the exams holds most of your grade. There will be at most 10 problems but there will be multiple questions on that one problem. You need to study , do hw it helps boost grade. I went from an F to a C b/w 2 exams.
You go to class to take notes every day then you get home to do the online homework (which you have to buy access to) so you can study for the couple of tests that you get in the semester. Honestly not a bad teacher, she is happy to try and explain any questions you have and can be accessed outside of class. It just gets boring day in and day out.
When she lectures, she rambles on way too much. But that's not the problem, she did an okay job of teaching the subject, but her homework and her tests absolutely had no relation to what she taught us in class. The homework assigned to us was supposed to prepare us for tests but it did not do that at all.
Exam every 5 wks or so, problem of the day amounts to 1-3% of your grade. I had a tough time since last time I took precal was years ago but even the students who've taken calc in hs also get confused by her lectures -- she doesn't explain clearly even when you ask Q's. Whiteboard management is kind of messy, but she does print out notes. Rambles.
Really easy teacher. If you pay attention in her class and do all the assigned homework then you'll have no problem acing her class.
I am not good at math but I did well. Her lectures are easy to understand. Fair grader. Gives study guide before every exam. Most exam problems similar to those on study guide. Exams were easier then final. Didn't have to memorize formulas for final because she let us have a notecard.
Professor Kaur's classes relied heavily on lectures and I took a lot of notes in her class, but fortunately her notes are fill in the blank. Hw was mainly problems out of the textbook, and tests were easy for me. She puts extra credit problems at the end of tests so those really helped me. Pay attention in class & ask for help when you need it.
Requires book to answer hw problems, has tests every 3 chapters and finals will be cumulative IF the class doesn't finish all the chapters. Notes are all fill in and she gives you practice problems that are helpful, almost similar to the tests. Don't be shy to ask help b/c if you don't especially on the middle chapt of class then you'll have troubl
Shes honestly not that great of a teacher
Goes fast so if you miss a day you're set behind quite a bit. Sample tests are 10x easier than the actual tests so they don't do you much good. Do not recommend.
This class is not an "easy A" kind of class. You really have to work hard to do well in this class. She also moves quickly/teaches at a fast pace.
VERY fast paced. I Should've gotten the staff advise on not taking that specific class with her since they said students they knew didn't like the class. I like math don't get me wrong. Her chapter exams are worth 50 of your grade and she does mini quizzes and gives you 3 minutes or so. She always says one thing and then SAYS ANOTHER.
She was really good at teaching the material. She would give out study guides that would be similar to the tests. She wasnt very organized but she would tell you your grade weekly if you wanted to know. Overall, i enjoyed her class and wish she taught a higher level of math!
Not really a good professor. Didn't learn much from her class and wasn't much help in my opinion when I took her my 1st semester at delta.
She has the smallest projector ever and always losses focuse. Really monotone. Take it online because thats what your basically doing or look at another professor. Think this is her first year as a professor
currently taking her math12 class/statistics, and i am drowning. she teaches really fast and looks at you funny if you ask a question that she feels you should know. I dont understand sometimes and i am scared to ask a question. not very organized and doesnt really teach the material that is on the online portion of class
This class was a mandatory repeat of my freshman Algebra 2 class because I failed the assessment. If it wasn't for her annoying "ok?" after every new thing she taught to the class, I would've showed up everyday just to get the homework done in class. I missed the last 3 weeks of the accelerated course and still passed the final and class with a B
Quiz every week on current sections youve learned that previous week. She sometimes struggles to get the point across during lecture, so it can get confusing if you arent closely following along. Sometimes she sounds a little condescending when you ask questions. IMO the class is a little unorganized and I feel like she wings it a little bit.
Rushes through material sometimes, looks at you a little condescendingly if you ask a question she thinks you should already know, and is unapproachable and disorganized. She gives you a quiz every week with barely any time to finish it - same with the tests, which are 25% of your grade. I'd recommend a different professor or maybe take it online.
Grade relies mostly on exams like other math classes. Hw is every other day but takes less than 1hr to do. Attendance isnt mandatory but you'll be sorry to skip class in Calc. She gives handouts for lectures which helps organize things. What can I say, Calc is not an easy subject that professors can just plant in your brain, my grade is on my fault
Seriously tries to teach us the material so fast and talks to us like we all have taken statistics before. Graded on our 3 exams but gave the class too many problems on the second exam so everyone couldn't finish in time. The whole class now has Ds. Thanks for messing up our GPA
She is a very okay professor. She has an issue with the pacing of the material because sometimes she can rush through material she shouldn't rush through and spends so much time on material she should just rush through. Overall, there are professors much worse than her but there are also professors much better than her.
you have to go to every class because she goes through so much in one class that if you miss it you'll be lost (she goes through everything fast as well) as well as she takes attendance. you have a quiz every week and she makes you buy one of those online homework things (lots of homework btw, at least 3 hours a week of homework)
she was very nice, but her class was one of the hardest professors I've taken my first year of college. when you get to class you do a warm up, goober homework, lectures, group work, then get homework. You have to attend class daily, even if you miss one day I promise youll be behind
Worst professor I ever had I m a straight A student and she gave c in every single exam. No makes No extra credit and most importantly there is only three exam if u fail any one u gonna fail the class. She make exams very hard. Please guys don't take her class it will gonna best for u
On first day of the class, she's gonna tell you I'll help out at any time but when you go to ask for help she's gonna make some excuse and delay things. She's so rude, also when you go to her office hour she's not happy to see you and not gonna tell you to sit. Her accent is really thick. Don't take her, save your life.
Terrible professor, dont take her! She is always rushing the lectures and skips multiple steps so students are left scratching their heads. This is not an easy class already but I feel like she doesnt help by being incredibly picky with her grading. She also makes CONSTANT mistakes on the board/exams/quizzes. It was a very frustrating semester.
She will tell you that she is there if you need help, yet when you need help, she sends you to tutoring; SHE does not help you. If she does, it is with an attitude. When the entire class doesn't get a section, she gets frustrated and rude instead of compassionate and understanding. She also gives a ridiculous amount of homework. SAVE YOURSELF.
she acts so bothered if you ask questions about the work she teaches, all she ever says is if youre asking me its because you obviously dont know. you need to study more. im obviously asking for help because i dont know but shes just rude and gives attitude when you ask for help.
The class is hard regardless if you are an A's students or an average one. The only way u'll pass the tests is by doing hw. She gives exactly a copy of the test to study. You can't fail, unless u don't care. She responds emails in less than 3 hours no matter the day. Show you care for the class and she will gladly help u, otherwise u're on ur own.
"You guys are calc students, you should know this by now" - her reliable response for students who ask questions. Expects you to master things she can't explain clearly. In class examples do not match her exams. Docks points for not continuously writing "Limit as X goes to Infinity." $120 just to be able to do the homework (e-book not used once).
Class is hard. U'll need to be there everyday in order to pass. Kaur is not clear sometimes but most of the time things are in the book to clarify urself. U do need to manage ur time for HW. this is a 4 units class so be ready to study before and after class.
Its really hard to pass this class ans teacher Kaur has not make it easy! She is not very friendly but over all she is nice to those who care about their grades. Ask for help to pass it. Homework is alot. Tests are very similar to the actually one we take, so dont study things that are not in the samples. Prepare to study
DO NOT TAKE HER!I always get As and Bs I got a 6 on the placement exam. I understood all of the homework but failed every test When I asked her what I should do she said to study more. The average grade for the final was a 62.9% so most of the class failed or almost failed the exam, that says something. I wish I could give her - 10 DO NOT TAKE HER
Well, her standards for calc students is way too high!! She skipped steps saying you do the math and whatever the heck the answer is. Tests were hard, not easy line the hw and practice exams. The worst is that she rushed through everything and could have done a better job at teaching us the subject more detailed. Not recommended.
I hated her teaching style. She has daily questions you need to answer and turn in, group work, way too many things we are graded on, on top of the online homework. She made mistakes on the board so so many times. No ones perfect but for a math professor she got confused so many times my notes were a crossed out mess. I highly DO NOT recommend her.
Took this Professor for Calc1. Easily the worst Professor I've ever taken. I HIGHLY do not recommend her for Calculus. We had less than 50 minutes for exams. Horrible Grader.
Do not take this course if you havent taken precal in high school or unless youre really advanced in math, gives a lot of homework and rushes through lectures often leaving students confused on the homework since its a fast paced course and we dont often finish notes, skips through a lot of steps, good professor but its an overwhelming course.
I was surprised with the grade I did receive, she doesn't go into much explanation. She writes it on the board and if you can't visually learn by examples, this is not the class for you. I would hardly ever ask questions, because she acts like its such a bother to her. The only thing I did like about her was in class days to study and extra credit.
This professor seems to think that her way of doing math is the only way. I have done problems in slightly different ways and was marked down for doing incorrect work with CORRECT ANSWERS. I'm sorry, but in math, there are multiple ways to get one answer. She forces you to use a overly complicated methods to find easy mental math answers.
I got a four on the Calculus AB test and then a three on the BC test. This class is an extended version Pre Calculus and it just dives into the most complicated problems in math. She does not give feed back and has confusing test.
Just zoomed through everything. Got frustrated when questions were asked. Went through many sections during each class session. Grades 100% based on tests and quizzes. Assigns homework but does not collect, grade, or go over so you know what you did right/wrong. No makeups or extra credit offered. Horrible class.
Restates explanations over and over again. Does not explain that well on whats to be expected on the test/quizzes after covering a whole lot. Overall she creates a lecture that is very confusing. Id rather just go with TAs and let them explain the process instead of the proffesor. Really dissapointed. Not a teacher, shes a barrier
I had a 70% in total I would turn it in all my worksheets and homework and do my quizzes and just one day she drop my grade and wen I ask her why she basically said because Im not trying. This course is online I work a 9 to 5 job and shes not understanding at all even through this pandemic going never taking her again!!!!!
Took her in covid spring 20. I passed but she is a confused prof who second-guesses herself during lectures, leaving students lost. My notes were a mess, did not use. I am good at math, the only reason I got a C. Please, take the reviews seriously and try another prof, Van Ma for example. CALC I is not impossible, unless you take it with Kaur.
She makes the worksheets and homework seem easy, then marks an entire question wrong when you make one simply error. If you get the right answer to a problem and use the correct equation, she will mark you wrong just because she feels like it. I do not recommend this professor at all.
Rajanpreet Kaur was, without a doubt, the worst teacher I have ever had. She is unnecessarily strict and on worksheets would make it impossible for a student to get a good grade. She would take points for every small mistake and she is unreasonable. Her quizzes are impossible. If you get her, do yourself a favor and just drop out or switch.
Wish I would searched this teacher before. Very difficult. Took her online course B/C of Covid. Spends way too much time on simple material at the beginning and rushes through more challenging things at the end. Hard to keep up with note taking. Moves through material super fast. If you're a math major then it is for you. Neverstudiedthismuch ever.
Unless youre planning to be a mathematician one day, you should not take this class. Her lectures are confusing and there is so much homework every single day. She grades incredibly hard on the worksheet and homework. My class is M-F and there is worksheet and homework due every single day. She should go through with the worksheet thoroughly
She expects you to things her way or no credit and rarely accepts other methods of doing problems. She makes you do worksheets everyday with a lecture code to show that you "attended" her class, it feels like middle school. She often makes mistakes in lectures or is unprepared, which makes it even more confusing with her unclear teaching style. .
Unless youre planning on continuing math, dont take this class with her. She grades as if were in an Ivy League, docking points for small mistakes. She constantly makes mistakes during lectures and is never thorough when explaining. She goes in depth on small things and skims over the important part. Again, dont take this class, youve be warned!
I would not recommend these teachers. She teaches us unclear that make us don't understand. She was not doing anything by checking student's work and giving them a credit.
he class was all online and the meetings are all recorded to watch later. Each week, there was at least 3 worksheets and 3 online assignments, but they're all due by the following Monday. Professor Kaur is very involved and wants to help her students pass. If you're willing to put in the work and ask for her help if you need it, you'll pass.
Worst professor and dont recommend this professor at all!
I wish I could give a 0 rating but she is the worst professor and I would not recommend her. Take another professor thats decent instead of this professor!
Dont take this class especially as a first time student loads of homework! Hardly any large amount to be able to get it all done.
DO NOT EVER TAKE THIS PROFESSOR IN ANY CLASS!!!!! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED
Worst class experience I have ever had. I am 7 weeks into a 8 week class and she has only graded 2 assignments. This left everyone unable to study for the midterm. She does not have any in person calls so it is very difficult to ask questions. Overall horrible experience and I don't understand how this is allowed.
Worst teacher doesnt update grades and you have to do it her way also explain the entire answer when its already solved like an English class switch teachers if she is assigned to you
If you expect to learn the material you have the wrong "teacher" she recycles all of her lectures grades nothing until around the last week of class. Even the Midterm was left un graded. How are we supposed to know if we are making mistakes when nothing gets graded?
Avoid taking her math classes! Report her to the dean!
DO NOT, I REPEAT DO NOT EVER TAKE ANY CLASS WITH THIS PROFESSOR!! SHE IS RUDE, WILL NOT LET YOU EXPLAIN TO HER, CONSTANTLY WILL TALK OVER YOU, COMPARE YOU TO OTHER STUDENTS,TELL YOU SHE DOESNT SEE ANY WORK WHEN YOU CLEARLY HAVE WORK BEING SHOWN AND ACCUSE YOU MULTIPLE TIMES OF CHEATING IF YOU MAKE ONE MISTAKE WHEN YOU HAVE TO VERIFY YOUR EXAM.
Please don't take this class, and save your GPA. Her teaching style is very unclear, and she will dock points for making small mistakes. There is also a worksheet that hands out during class as homework, but she will not explain or go over it.
When she lectures she's decent if you pay attention. My main issue is she will not grade any assignments so you cannot keep track of how you are doing or what your grades are. her lecture schedule is also online as well as in person so its hard to keep up with.
Would only recommend this class to those who have some idea about the basics because the way she teaches is good but in a different way, that is you have to connect the dots on your own in some places ,a major chunk of your grades is based on the quizzes and daily classwork sheets. New students should take a different teacher IMO.
Very challenging professor, attendance is accounted for at random times of the day. During any quizzes/exams there is a particular way of seating and phones are put on a separate desk, made to feel like it's elementary. Grades aren't put in Canvas until months or weeks after anything. Graphing Calculators are NOT allowed. PLEASE FIND ANOTHER CLASS
I came into this after reading the negative reviews & Calc AB/BC in HS getting A's & B's thinking the reviews couldn't have been 100% accurate but after taking the course & knowing the professor let me just say they were all telling the truth this review is just meant to get rid of any doubts you may have had about reading others reviews
She goes over time and holds the class over the time. Slow grader for Canvas takes a long time to even see your grade. Test have very little to do with HW. please SKIP this one
be prepared to cry every week
1.Writes extremely messy handwriting all over board and difficult to keep up with and talks fast. 2. No HW & don't have to pay for book but HW isn't graded and is kept as notes for quizzes everyday unless she changes her mind whenever 3. Lectures can be over 20-30 mins after class is supposed to end makes it difficult for people that commute
Worst teacher ever, just DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS WITH HER, you'll be crying every night, you'll even see her in your dreams, she is AWFUL
I have taken this course in high school with an 87% and in college with a 94%. The credits did not transfer so I had to retake it and as of this point, I have a 74%. If you don't show 100% of the work, you are wrong. If you forget the parenthesis on a step, you are also wrong. She is very condescending as well.
Many times she was confused in class. Could not understand the solutions that students put on the paper and marked them wrong while I had shown it to another professor and it was correct.
No creativity/originality in class, can't explain a problem. A tough grader because she does not understand other correct methods, like a frozen mind that knows only one solution. Very hard for her to adapt to any new situation. During the pandemic had a hard time adjusting because it was a new technology for her and she couldn't learn new things.
Prof K has clear grading, manageable work, ex-based lecture/hw that directly relates to test/quizzes. Not flexible, provides some* ex-credit. Scientific calculator is required, the textbook is not. Watch for her mistakes in grading/lecture! Rude when asking for help. Long time to input grades. Spend more time doing the work than complaining to pass
Currently taking math 1 with her and I'm suffering. Take another professor if you want to save your GPA, this lady doesn't even know how to speak English and wants us to only use her methods that she can't even explain.
horrible professor. Doesn't know well. usually confused in the middle of the solution, then puts the burden on students. Tries to find silly mistakes to take points off like missing equal sign, etc. Doesn't know what math is about...
Attended the class and hated it off the bat. She's very confusing, I didn't feel as if I was getting the best explanations on her methods since we are recommended not to go to different tutors that are not aware of her teaching style. I hyper focused on how many times she used the word "alright/right" and could not continue.
Make sure you take this class when you don't have a whole lot of other classes on your schedule. This class was partly online and partly in person, and was 2 hrs. of lecture four days a week. That means you're spending 8 hrs. of your week on lecture alone. Then study hard and get ready for lots of hw. I liked her clear teaching style though!
OK, i have mixed feelings about her. On one hand, she is willing to help you with things when you come to her office, albeit condescendingly. on the other hand, her lectures take forever, she assigns tons of homework, and a lot of her teaching methods are very confusing. But by god i learned how to work with polynomials.
This professor rushes through the material without breaking down concepts or providing clear examples, which leaves students feeling confused. She also doesn't engage with students or show much interest in whether they're understanding the material, often just reading from the textbook or slides without interaction.
I gave the benefit of the doubt with this professor and hoped for the best because I've never been bad at math and have always gotten pretty good grades. I thought maybe if I just try really hard and study a lot I'll be fine... I could not have been more wrong about anything in my life. LISTEN TO THE REVIEWS FROM CALCULUS 1 MATH1 THEY ARE ALL TRUE!
In person lectures are intense and cover large amounts of material. Taking notes will be extremely difficult and understanding them will be even harder. No extra resources. Assignments include canvas, worksheets, and mini quizzes every class (hard). You will not know your score, does not grade anything. Do not take this class, you will struggle.
The class isn't too difficult if you put in the work. She teaches LOTS of new info during lecture 2x a week and zoom lecture in between the in-person lectures that can be anywhere from 25 mins to 2 and a half hours long. She is rude and takes forever to grade exams which are TOUGH, but she is available for office hours and will help if you ask.
Even after seeing so many comments about how hard her class is, I thought I could handle her, but no one prepared me for her lecture. Her lectures don't make sense. She emphasizes student mistakes rather than helping them. You can't question any of her work without her completely downgrading you. I have seen students have a breakdown in her class.
This class can be challenging, but the professor's clear teaching style helps. Attend lectures, use the free textbook, and try Unstuckstudy for efficient study prep. The workload is heavy, so don't overload your schedule. With focus, the class is manageable and valuable.
Listen to the reviews. Her lectures are HEAVY and she is not the best at explaining so be prepared to teach yourself. Will not answer questions as she expects you to already know. Grades are based on the three exams and the final. Tough grader and will not give feedback. Late grader so you won't know how you're doing in class.
Doing homework that isn't related to the test and when it comes to notes, she makes you take to many notes that don't help you, which is mandatory as she makes you tune them in for credit in her class.
Without a doubt the worst math professor I have ever come across. Be prepared to wait literally months to receive your test grades and get shrugged at when confronting her with questions. Incompetency and unprofessionalism are the key takeaways here and Kaur makes too many mistakes while lecturing. Expect an annoying mini quiz at every class start!
This class can be challenging, attend lectures, and use office hours. The workload is a lot, plan accordingly.
this was my first math related class in the US and to be honest, its not as bad as most claim in the reviews. as long as you pay attention in class and to the lectures it'll put you ahead alot. a YT video or two helps for most things you dont understand as well.
This is a VERY difficult class, but to be fair, Calc 1 was always supposed to be difficult. Spend A LOT of time with the tutors and SI and you should be ok, but you really do have to spend a lot of time for this class.
I took her online class and I had a hard time. She makes you do Exams on zoom and monitors your every move. She makes you put your phone next to you where she can see it. She also makes you angle your camera so she can see your hands while taking the exam. She is very particular on how you should have your computer angled. She's also not very nice
I wouldn't recommend this teacher. Beware she is rude and also makes you be on a recording camera to take tests. This made me feel uncomfortable. It's weird at that. She also tries to accuse people of cheating and randomly selects people to redo a test question.
Avoid this professor if you can. She doesn't grade anything throughout the semester, so you have no idea where you stand. Don't know how final grade was posted.
Avoid this teacher at all costs! She takes forever to grade your work making it hard to see how you're doing in the class, on top of that she's a tough grader. Exams are all proctored where she monitors your every move and are worth up to 50% of your grade. Her lectures are long and she often makes mistakes during her lectures leaving you confused
DO NOT TAKE THIS PROFESSOR you'll never know your grade until the end of semester.homework was too time consuming, 30-45 questions worth very low percentage of grade. WS due every other day like we don't have any other class. Took attendance twice so if you are coming late or leaving early in a week consider yourself absent for the whole lecture.
By far the WORST professor I have ever had. Extremely rude lady and has zero people skills. Wants the worst for her students and seems to enjoy making it hard on her students. Online exams she will make horrible constantly asking to show your hands and surroundings.
don't take this class unless You wanna fail this class because you will fail this class with her . she is super strict your not allowed anything on exam even calculator . and the exams are very different and whole point is on exam if u fail the exam u fail the class and the homework note problems of the days r a lot but less point exam hold 75%
