Mr. Chopra is such a great teacher. He makes sure that EVERYONE in the class understands what he is talking about. Gives a lot of homework. Do it and stay ahead in the class. Also, he has a great sense of humor, he was always cracking jokes in the class!

The class is full of lots of homework, but that is the only way you can learn accounting. He makes the classtime go by quick and like to get a laugh out of us.

i dont know what some people are talking about. He might have a heavy accent, and at first you might be scared of the course, but overall he is a great teacher. He makes sure you understand and takes a lot out of his own time to help students.

Chopra is an overall good guy. He really cares about his class and the students in it. His goal is for everyone to leave class with a better grasp on the subject. He keeps things light and fun but is able to keep the learning going. You will never get out of this class early but he will always give you your breaks and is a fair grader. Great class!

VERY well, and gives great examples. it is easy to get a good gread in his class, but you have to dedicate your time and afford in it, and please go to his office hours if you don't understand some things, b/c he is always happy to help.

This professor is full of life. Will dish out and can take it too. coolest by far and if you don't want to study hard don't take his class. I like him as a person, but not as a teacher. He's a really nice guy; cares a lot.. but I ended up getting a C. (Which, I'm not too happy about) Nothings weighted.. just 900 points so basically you have to get 100% on everything. Do all the vocab, the study guides, and study for the test and you'll be fine.

Mr. Chopra is the best teacher for accounting period. I know his style is unique, guy is funny and quirky, very interested in teaching, slow down a little at times but he's gold. Loved this teacher, he made accounting as interesting as it possibly could be. Tests were based on reading questions and study questions. I think he is very good at teaching. i don't care about his indian accent as long as he good teacher. He tries to create a lively atmosphere in the class. Clear precise lectures, he have one hell of a test taking policy but that just ensures your success.He did have one hell of an extensive background. Mr. Chopra does his best to make sure you don't fail his class. He starts his classes with a warning that if you don't want to put in the work, you shouldn't take his class, and he is right. If you don't want to learn accounting, don't take his class. If you do, you should, because you will. Not an easy class, but accounting isn't an easy subject.

Chopra is a good teacher. He will give examples on how to do each type of problem and provide extra help to those who need it. However it is not easy, you will need to spend 3+ hours on homework per week. Review his provided study guides as they are very similar to the exams. Overall a good experience.

tests are tough, but not if you do all the book HW, online HW, and quizzes and study guides. explains some things really well and others not so much. but he is really funny. you will definitely enjoy the class. just make sure you study and keep up with your work. he's helpful and understanding, talk to him if needed. if you study, you pass.

Mr. Chopra is an excellent teacher. He is constantly engaged and get into your business. He is a little intimidating and is anal about asking turn off phones. The course demands a lot of taking notes, quizz to be finished before the chapter is done and a lot of stories. He is animated, sometimes a bit weird and awkward but want you to learn.

Easy class but lots of busy work. One MAL (40 min), quiz (doable in class), book hw (20 min) per week along with several mc tests per semester. There is also 3-4% ec per semester which makes it hard to do poorly in the class. Overall, make sure you understand the conceptsgo to his office hours if you're struggling and it should be an easy A.

There is a lot of homework but it will definitely help you ace the exams! Make sure you study the study guide because they are very similar to the exams. He's hilarious and a must take. Took his online class and its not too bad. You get anywhere from a week to two weeks to finish one of the chapters using MyAccountingLab, which includes doing the homework and taking a quiz. Theres about 4 exams, but no midterm. The subject can be a bit confusing but if you can get the basics down and do the math, you should be fine.

His class is hard, I had to study a lot but I got a B. He is quirky and a bit out there, but he always eventually brings the point home. At first, people freak about the amount of homework. I did. Do it all. Most of the test questions are structured somewhat like the test. Caveat, he teaches a lot of procedures with tables but does not spoon feed you. Learn the procedures, any permutation on the test is doable. If everyone misses a test question, he usually tosses them.

His online class was easy, but you have to do the work to earn the grade. . Test were a little hard because he gives two parts to it and they are timed. One is multiple choice and the other one was actual problems you had to work out similar to the homework it could get stressful trying to balance how much time to spend but there is partial credit

This is by far the hardest course i've ever taken. Chopra is a good teacher but he seems to be a better teacher for people who actually would like to be accountants. Assigns way too much homework and quizzes. Of the original 42 in the class, there were only 18 left (including myself) due to the sheer amount of work he has you do.

This is my second year at Laspo and second class with prof chopra. I wish I could take all my business courses with him. He's always encouraging to do better, has clear lectures and explains everything in detail. Exams are challenging but he gives a detailed study guide. He is an awesome professor.

You will not need to take this class unless you're a business related major. Since you're here to learn business, Professor Chopra will make sure you do so, so set aside a few hours a week to study because there's gonna be a lot of homework (A LOT). Besides the homework, Chopra is hilarious and you'll very much enjoy his class.

I love his classes. I attend the all twice a w2eek. I'm not accounting major but want to understand how business works. He gives so many examples, he trades stocks, wears rolexes and is quirky. I have learned so much and worked hard. I got an internship on his recommendation and he made three phone calls to make sure, I was ready. You are the best.

Professor chopra is a good teacher.I took 1A in class and 1B online. He always provides good examples and lots of explanation. I enjoyed both in class and online help. He's patient, knowledgeable, funny and has great class work. Test, quizzes and study guides are similar, the class and home work requires work but it is worth it. Chopra is dope!!

Prof Chopra is an excellent teacher. I was new to Las Po and he always encouraged me to do better. im a DSPS student with special needs. He was the only professor that gave me more time and many attempts at completing my tests. He really cares and goes out of his way to accommodate. His lectures are easy to follow and gives detailed notes.

I wish I could take all my classes with Chopra. I initially struggled and he extended time to finish work. I got serious and he encouraged me to do better. I went to his office hours and he walked me through and encouraged me to ask why and the steps to solve a word problem. Class notes are detailed and biggest help. Acct is hard but he's the best.

Although classes can be 3 hours long it goes by fast due to his energetic personality. He really cares for his students and comes up with multiple ways to teach examples based on different learning styles. Don't be afraid to go to his office hours because he really helps you understand the material better. Study guides are exactly like the test.

This class is very straight forward. If you do all the assignments, show up to class, and pay attention: you'll do fine. Professor Chopra is a kind and fun professor who made accounting more interesting. I highly recommend taking his class.

I only had professor Chopra for Accounting 1B, but I really appreciated the amount of experience, enthusiasm, and curiosity he placed into each lecture. Professor Chopra is solid. I was not sure going to this online teaching with 1A & I took a leap of faith. He's amazing in person, telling stories, looking at stock sites, reading from CNBC, & detailed notes. i was scared & the first thing he said was, "I'm with you & we will get through". He's awesome even in the Covid thing. 1B is awesome!!!!!!

He is a great professor and wants to help you, but his notes are a bit unusual. He types everything up in Excel and we would have to write it down. It is hard to follow because it's not so organized. All the homework is on Pearson which is $100. The tests are on Pearson and are from the homework.

This is my best class for the semester. I am new to Laspo and was not sure how I would learn accounting online. He has given us complete notes on excel and the class is easy to follow. He gives us ample time to work in groups on zoom and is kind, funny and helpful. We use mylab for homework and tests. I appreciate study guides & class discussions

Mr. Chopra is an inspiring instructor. I started going to laspo in 2016. I had him in a math class and he helped me understand all the finance stuff. Professor Chopra is an amazing teacher. I was struggling in the zoom class and he stayed after class to help me with the material. He gives detailed notes and is fair grader. It was a lot of work but he encouraged me to finish my work on time. He's very thorough and exams has questions from homework and study guide. He's an awesome person too.

Professor Chopra is one of the best professors at Las Positas. He's extremely knowledgeable and takes his time to explain the concepts to you. Just show up to class and take notes, and you'll do fine. Exams are similar to homework assignments and study guides. I would recommend taking notes on Excel as it makes it easier to keep up.

As long as you come to class and pay attention, it's hard to do poorly. All his notes are done through excel and clearly labeled. He is a really engaging teacher, and explains the content super clearly. He's a really fun teacher who works really hard to make sure that everyone is engaged, and that everyone understands the lesson.

Professor Chopra is so funny and very engaging with all the students over zoom. His notes are very interactive and clear. Showing up to the classes is super important tho bc you will miss a lot. The site that the hw is done on is super good too, you have as many attempts to get the correct answer so as long as you do it, youll pass. highly recomend

Chopra is such a funny and engaging professor. He is the only teacher i've been able to learn from throughout the pandemic and distance learning. The website for the homework is very easy with it's grading system, there's no way you'll fail unless you simply don't do the work.

The homework isn't bad, you can get examples for all of it on the website. I recommend taking notes when you do the study guides because the test is very similar to them. Solid accounting teacher. Mandatory lectures required for online course. Homework takes roughly 2-3 hours on average per week so not too bad. Study guides truly test your endurance as some are very long. Expect 4-5 hours. First test is the easiest. Second test is by far the hardest. If your solid in basic math, memorize the formulas and your fine.

Great humor. about a few weeks in I realized that showing up to lectures (on zoom) simply didn't help me/ didnt matter but I still showed up every day anyway. The material itself is understandable. You get attendance points and easy extra credit opportunities. The exams were doable and not as hard as I thought, especially if you learn from the HW.

Professor Chopra cares about his students and their success and it is apparent anytime you interact with him. I have taken BUSN1A and 1B with him and during 1A I attended online lectures, and he was always engaging and made sure we were getting the practice we needed before the test.

I took 1A with Prof chopra last semester synchronously and was apprehensive of taking 1B online. However, I really like the way the class was setup. Assignment were available ontime and grading policies were clear. it takes me time understanding the chapter, however, chapter videos and sample questions helped a lot. I highly recommend it.

Professor Chopra teaches the subject really well and is very helpful if you do not understand the subject. Also, he makes class fun to come to and interesting. I had him before for Accounting 1A online with zoom meetings. I am grateful for the fact that he told us that in online classes were no longer going to have zoom meetings.

Really funny guy! Professor Chopra knows that accounting can be a bit boring, but he definitely makes up with his teaching style. Lectures, notes, and homework are the main things used, so keep up on those, but exams are just like the study guides. probably the funniest teacher I've had, look forward to taking Busn 1B next semester with him!

Your mileage may vary, but I found Professor Chopra's class to be pretty rough. There are no lectures, you are going entirely out of the book and the Pearson platform used is buggy and slow. Nothing is really taught, and the cumulative test at the end of the semester was killer. However, he does bump grades up at the end of the semester.

Prof Chopra is an excellent teacher. He's hilarious, helpful and encouraging. I struggled in the online class and he met me on Zoom number of times and walked through the concept and helped me do homework. He never made me feel bad and always was upbeat. I took 1B in Spring 22 and learned a lot from the class. Professor chopra provided a very organized online class and good structure. Lots of videos, examples on excel and good timing. Study guides are very helpful. I am glad I took his class and did lots of self study. A well organized class with clear grading and due dates.

If you ever need help very willing to help out. Make sure to do the study guide and correct, good chance there will be similar questions. Some extra credit, but just make sure to do the hw.

Personally, I don't think I would have succeeded Accounting without Professor Chopra. Took him for 1A and 1B, thoroughly enjoyed. Accounting is a pretty easy class to begin with, and having him made it easier since he explained concepts well. The tests are pretty similar to the quizzes and studyguide and you get a notecard, so they're nothing to worry about. Chopra himself definitely cares about his students and their futures.

Professor Chopra is a great teacher. He lectures were informative and made the content much easier to understand. I recommend looking over the chapter before you start it. Homework takes a while not because it is difficult but because there is so many questions/ parts. Quizzes and tests are are easy if you understand the chapters.

The material is easy to follow and the study guides are pretty much the test with different numbers. Does take roll at the beginning of class but is also very understanding of circumstances. He's also pretty funny. The lectures are pretty intense but he provides handouts for you to follow along to.

His exams closely follow the study guides, so if you redo them, you'll be well-prepared. He makes an effort to know and engage with all his students!

Although financial accounting is a difficult course I enjoyed professor Chopra's approach to teaching his students and helping us understand the material. I struggled with this class in the beginning and he pointed me in the right direction to get help to catch up early and also was available to all students during office hours. highly recommend

Professor Chopra does a great job teaching the class. Handouts and class practice quizzes are quite useful. He prepares well for the class and tells good stories. He's quircky and hillarious. At times he gets off topic and I think it's intentional. He's compassionate, kind and very knowledgeable. Honestly the class is al lot of work. GOAT!!

Where can I start with Prof Chopra. He is the most helpful professor I have had so far. Lectures are great. He wants all his students to succeed. Tests are exactly like the study guide. He gives really good advice as well. He keeps the class entertaining but informative as well. Everyone needs a Professor like Professor Chopra.

Prof. Chopra is an amazing teacher. In my two years at Las Po I have had good professors, but Chopra is the GOAT. He really cares, and is energetic and charismatic. His lectures are engaging with quirky stories about poker, Rolexes and Maserati's. While he made me work hard but I learned a lot. He's the best and he truly cares. Love you Chopra.

GOAT Prof! Hilarious lectures while trying and not trying to be funny. Makes concepts easy to grasp. Be sure to ask questions b/c he will try his best to help you. Attending class is a must to keep up with material. The only bad thing I can say is he makes it impossible to know the right letter choice in study guides. Def in top 85 Profs at las po.

Professor Chopra was a very good professor throughout the semester. He was always available outside of class or by zoom. The assignments weren't difficult and if they were, his instructions were clear. The grading criteria was easy to understand as well.

If there had to be one professor that I would take again, it would be Professor Chopra. Hilarious, inspirational, and quite thoughtful and deep, too. Notes that are handed out are very simple to understand from an accounting perspective(this is not an easy class, though). Make sure you notify him of anything if you have DSPS accommodations.

GOAT Professor and will be my favorite professor EVER! I've only been a first year at Las positas but I already know no other professor I attend can match his humor or enthusiasm like him. His exams are very similar to the study guide and quizzes. Best prof ever that I actually spent the time to rate him, I would never rate anyone but he's the GOAT

Prof. Chopra is a great teacher. He helped me when I was having a hard time with my family circumstance. He pulled me aside and talked to me and that changed how I performed in the class. He really cares. He provides a lot of extra material including; handouts, quizzes and study guides to prepare us for the test. Yes, he's the GOAT!!

What do I say about Chopra? This professor is so different than all that I've had at Las Po so unconventional . The guy is all dressed out, wears Rolexes, talks about stocks and Bonds. He'a money, he's fire. He teaches accounting from a practical perspective. He done it. So inspiring. His stories are personal and fun. Make studying fun. He's GOAT!!

GOAT Professor. Take him in person, and you will not regret it. As long as you actually do the homework, and study it is fairly easy to get an A.

Overall great Professor, very knowledgeable in all aspects of managerial accounting. He went off topic quite frequently, however provided some good life knowledge, laughs, and lectures.

His lectures are clear and knows how to get the class's attention. Doing the homework and quiz as well as the reviews help a lot with your grade. I'm not the best test taker which brought my grade down but he's pretty understanding and gives more time for the tests if you ask. Doesn't really look at emails so visit during his hours or after class.
