Man, this guy is so cool. Some might think that the accent is a bit of an obstacle but really he makes things clear and concise and gives great examples. He is always helpful when you have a question, whether for the lecture hall or the lab course.
What a cool guy. Loved him as a teacher. He made everything so clear and easy, unlike all those other crappy Chemistry 1151 teachers. I'll take anything he teaches.
HE is a excellent CHEM teacher. His accent is hard to understand at first, but it grows on ya. His test are usually less than 25 questions, everything is taugh in his lectures...nothing is suprise. Willing to answer questions anytime. Highly recommanded!!!!!
Very easy. He is available for questions and very helpful. Final isn't hard. Gives reviews. Recommended.
Excellent Proffessor. Would take him more if his courses were in my major. If you don't pass his class you need serious help. He can't make it any easier.
great teacher
I absolutely LOVE this class!! He is an amazing professor and hope to be able to take more of his classes in the future. He makes everything very clear and basically tells you what you need to know!! I highly recommend him
Good teacher. Wants to make sure u understand the material. Kinda repetitive but in a good way.Definately try to take him.
Gives many examples and repeats oneself alot. Tests are easy and comes straight from the notes. Although his accent makes it kinda hard to understand him; he is a great teacher!!!
He is very helpful. He does repeat himself a lot, but its worth it. His test are not hard. Take him, he's the best!
Dr. Dabke's class is soooo easy! You dont even have to go to class to get good grades. Basically review over the chapters! Plus, he uses tests over every year, so just find someone with his tests to look over!
Great teacher ! He tries hard to make sure his students understand the material. The test are over what he covers in class so there are no surprises. I highly recommend this professor.
I love him. He was my best teacher so far. Everything makes perfect sense.
The test are over what he covers in class so there are no surprises. I highly recommend this professor. He is from India, it is like listening to Hapoo from the Simpsons. Great Instructor.
Dr. Dabke, is a really good chemistry professor. I learned alot in his chemistry class, than in my high school chemistry class. He expalins the material very clear and uses many examples. He gives good notes that usually ends up on the test. The tests are no suprises and he will curve your grade as long as you came to class everyday of the semester
He is the teacher to take. The test are super easy. Only 25 questions. He repeats thing constantly and does many examples.
Dr. Dabke has been the best teacher that I have taken while at Columbus State...anyone who is interested in taking a summer class, take his Chemistry I & II classes and you will love it!!!! 4 tests about 25 questions each...thats it! Take him!
Once you get over his accent you will have no problem with the class. He will help with whatever you need and his two tests are the exact same thing as the review.
He is awesome!! I only have him for Lab but I always get help from him before any test in my lecture classes. He is very helpful.... and kida funny too!
He good, easy and our lab section was over before it suppose to.
I was in his lab for part of the semester. I loved it! He was very helpful. I had to drop that lab though, because Jackson's class was killing me. I would definetly suggest taking Dabke for whatever you can get him for.
I took Chem Lab with Dr. Dabke and loved it! Our class finished 3 weeks ahead of schedule. He was really easy and showed how to do everything before you started the experiments. He only gives a Mid-term and a Final but your labs get graded and you have quizzes every lab. I am going to take him for Chem Lab 2. Deffinitely take him if u want an easy
Dr. Dabke is one of the best prof at CSU! I learned a lot from him! Not only does he increase your interest in Chemistry, but he also helps students like myself believe in themselves to conquer a subject that they never thought they could learn or enjoy!
Dabke is one of the best prefossors ever. Yes, you do have to study for his tests. But if you study, you will pass. He has a wonderful style of teaching and if most of the class have problems with specific questions on the test, he will not count it against you. Very fair professor.
He is an excellent teacher
He is a wonderful teacher! explains everything very good and will answer any questions you have. The test are not hard at all. I just looked over my notes the night before and made an A. Def. Take him
Dr. Dabke is one of the BEST proffesors that CSU have. He enjoy teaching his chemistry classes. He makes the class really easy to understand and interesting. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this proffesor to anyone that have to take a chemistry class.
Dr. Dabke is by far the best professor at CSU. He has an excellent teaching style that works for everyone. He is very respectful, helpful and wll do whatever it takes to make you understand the material. I can't say enough good things about him. If you get a chance, take him..it is hard to get into his class! He is AWESOME!!!
This is one of the best teachers. You're not going to believe this - a tracher that really cares about how the students do and how they feel about chemistry. Don't pass up the opportunity to meet this man and take his class.
Dr. Dabke has to be the BEST teacher or professor i have EVER had!!! he really cares about his students and wants them to suceed. He will help in any way possible to get you to understand the material. Test come STRAIGHT from notes, so there is absolutely NO surprises. Take him if you can. His class is very hard to get into, so sign up soon. :)
I have not come by another professor like Dr. Dabke during my entire college experience. He is truly concerned about how well students understand the material and he wants it to be fun. He takes you through the material step by step. Many won't need each and every step explained, but it's great for those who do. I would recommend him to anyone.
Prof Dabke was very helpful & available if you had any questions. He explained ideas clearly & used examples if you didnt understand.
He is someone what hard to understand but just ask and he will repeat so you can get it. He is a VERY good teacher. Does lots and lots of examples so that you will comprehend the aspect. Goes over everything a lot. I wish he taught my upper lever CHEM classes!
Very good teacher. He explains the material well. You do have to study for the tests.
Wonderful teacher. He explains everything. Is willing to help you anytime you need it. Definitely wish he taught Chem 1152 (tear, tear). Take this class if you pay attention and study you will be fine.
He is a great teacher that makes chemistry seem interesting! Very easy!
Dr. Dabke was a good teacher to take this semester. Chemistry has never been a problem for me and it was not this semester either. He is somewhat difficult to understand but he knows his material and he writes everything down that you need to know on the projector, so as long as you take good notes, you will do great in the class. Overall, good!
Awesome teacher, believe evreything you read about how good he is at teaching. He is as reasonable a professor as I've ever run across.
Dr. Dabke wants his students to learn the material. He covers everything that will be on the tests and even writes detailed notes on the overhead projector. I would definitely recommend him to anyone.
Dr. Dabke is awesome! He is very clear and teaches at a slow pace so everyone can understand the concepts. Unlike some other teachers, Dr. Dabke's accent does not seem to get in the way and he does not confuse you by talking in circles or asking ridiculous questions. Chemistry made easy!
He is my lab teacher and he is very helpful. He is very kind and his labs are easy. We do have pre-lab quizes each day before lab (unless it's a very long lab). He is very helpful, he'll help you complete you post-lab if your having problems. He does give a mid-term and final which are based on the labs, they aren't to hard, you just need to study.
Professor Dabke is cool and helpful, but HIS TEST ARE EXTREMELY HARD! To me, they are nothing like the notes or anything, just made up for everyone to FAIL! I took him for his lecture, and i won't take him again. no chance for bonus, and attendance is required. notes everyday, and they dont help. cool teacher, but HARD
tests are REALLY hard. you cant possibly study enough. he tries to help you if needed but it dont help much. tests are nothing like the notes. i had heard tha he was easy but found out the hard way that he wasnt. so did most of the class.
Easy to follow. Using overhead projection, he writes notes as he goes. Provides good basic outline in lecture but studying the book around the outline is a must. If you do this you can make an "A". I did, and I didn't take Chemistry in high school.
Dr. Dabke is amazing!! his lectures are a little hard to understand because of his accent, but pay close attention. he uses an overhead projector and powerpoints to teach. some questiond come straight from the notes. i recommend taking him
He is such a great teacher! You MUST study and pay attention...he is always willing to help if you are having problems! :)
GREAT INSTRUCTOR! I had him for 1151, 1151L, and 1152L. He tells you exactly what you need to know. Great notes, awesome explanations. Would definitely recommend him for any/all chemistry classes. :)
Excellent instructor!!!!!!!!!!
Dr. Dabke is a phenomenal instructor. He loves what he teaches. He gives four exams, and that includes a comprehensive final. He gave five bonus points for the final. Attendance is mandatory and so is paying attention. He is very approachable and is always willing to help. I urge you to take him so you too can have the "Dabke experience."
I took Dabke for Chem 1151, and he was a very good professor. He's helpful, and straightforward. He never gave any pop quizzes. & There were no suprises on the tests. He counts attendance, but lets you miss up to 4 classes. He makes chemistry easy. Great professor! Take him if you can!
Great teacher! He's very nice & helpful & he explains everything so well. For the lecture class he goes over the material thoroughly & lets you know what to expect on the 4 tests. For the lab class he shows you how to do the labs step by step & he'll help you with the lab and lab assignments. Superb professor!
Dr. Dabke is very sweet. I took him for my Chemistry 1121 Lab and I love it. He clearly explained the procedures before we started the experments and any help or quesios you have during the Lab, he is happy to answer. Loved his class and I plan on taking him for Chem 2
Dr. Dabke is a wonderful professor. He is very helpful and will assist you with any questions you have. However, his tests were a little difficult in my opinion but Chemistry is hard for me. He explains the concepts very well it's just a lot of material and takes devotion to studying. Sadly this class will be my first B! But he rocks.
Dr. Dabke is one of the best teachers I've ever had. He explains concepts very well, does multiple practice problems in class to help you dial in your skills, and will gladly answer any question you have. Like any subject, you do have to study for his tests, but if you utilize your book you will do fine! An excellent teacher overall!
Very nice guys.he is very helpful. He makes course materials easy understand. All most everything he talks will be appears in the test.
His accent isn't too bad; it helps to sit toward the front. He knows his subject and is willing to take questions, repeat things and gives clear notes. His tests are not too tough, only about 50 questions. The only grades in the class are 4 tests, so do your best. Overall, he's a great teacher and has a good sense of humor too.
Very wonderful professor. Any problems that he works out on the board will most likely be seen again on the test. Of course you still have to work for a good grade, but he makes it so much easier!
Great teacherfun lecturer, reads the student-reactions wells, reasonable tester, effective instructor. his 2 min chemistry jokes to relax students are always funny! He will even ask the class if they have a joke to share. content relayed in clear way with examples. Inspirational teacher! hope i teach like him someday. 3 tests&final is comprehensive
Test are hard but he is a great professor . I'm a sophomore and he has been my favorite so far ! Great guy and he cares if you know that material or not ! He will go out of his way to help you understand it ! STUDYING is essential . The mastering chemistry assignments are basically what the test is about so pay attention to those ! Get the book !!
Real cool dude and very funny. Test were hard but just study at least 3 times a week for this class because chemistry is not easy.
Great teacher that knows his stuff. The lectures can get a little boring but he always takes a quick break from Chemistry to have "Joke Time" where he tells a joke or shows a trick. Tests are pretty okay. You have 30 multiple choice and 5 problems to work out. Also make sure you do Mastering Chemistry because it's part of your test grade.
BEST PROFESSOR AT CSU. TAKE HIM. Tests are straight off the notes and are easy. He truly cares about the students and will use many teaching methods until every student learns the material.
Summer:Really cool laid back guy. He is willing to help you understand at all costs, but expect to work for your grade. Hard tests, but he never gives you anything unexpected. Expect to stay the entire class period. Do not ever miss a lab as this weighs most of your grade. No bonus, HW, or extra credit. Only 4 tests in lecture. DO NOT EVER MISS LAB
He is a really good teacher with a background in education which helps in the lectures for me to understand chemistry even when I'm not interested in it. The class is hard just because it's chemistry but he is the best chemistry teacher by far at the school.
Dabke is funny and easy to understand. If you study and ready the textbook you'll do fine
He is the best Chemistry teacher I've ever had while continuing my education
Dr. Dabke makes everything very interesting in lecture and in lab! During the lecture, he takes his time to explain all the concepts and will be happy to answer your question in good detail even if the answer seems totally obvious. In lab, he explains the experiment first so you understand and know what you're doing and helps you during
After being out of high school for over 12 years I was extremely nervous to take Chemistry right out the gate. Dr. Dabke has been an amazing instructor and has helped me break back into school again. He answers any and all questions. He will sit with you in his office to help. If you skip class, expect to fail because you deserve it. Great guy
He has 4 tests for the whole semester and one of them was counted twice. as long as you pay attention in class and look over notes you should get a good grade
Absolutely the best chemistry teacher at CSU. Dr. Dabke offers plenty of examples and goes into great detail when going over lecture material. Pay attention and do not be afraid to ask questions. He is a wonderful teacher and is always takes the time out to speak and help his students out one on one.
Dr. Dabke was the best Chemistry professor I've had thus far at CSU!!! He understands that chemistry is a difficult subject and wants to make sure his students understand everything he teaches. He had three exams and an ACS final exam, only 4 homework assignments on Mastering Chemistry, and Daily Learning Catalytic. This class is honestly easy.
Dont be fooled, hes a easy professor the class is insanely tough. I know a lot of people in my class who failed or dropped out, its a weed out class which means its tough for a reason. Hes the best as teaching a hard subject, but dont assume his easy rating means the class will be a breeze. One of the hardest classes at csu.
Dr. Dabke is really nice, he'll tell you the test are like the homework but the test are a lot harder. The final exam is crazy difficult in the lecture. Don't take him for lab he gives crazy hard exams in lab and you end up with a low lab grade because of this.
Take your MC and LC seriously! Its the only thing that you can use outside resources for. Exams are tough, study in advance!! Utilize the tutoring center and peer tutors. Does not offer any extra credit. Know you'll probably fail the ACS. Other than that, he's a great professor; chemistry just sucks in general. Go to his office hours as well.
Would not recommend. His instructions are directly from the book and he over complicates stuff to the point where you're completely lost. His class is graded on homework which is beneficial; however, class attendance is graded on an all or nothing scale even if you attended class. Be prepared to teach yourself.
This man teaches! He doesnt mind if you have questions and he wont make you feel dumb for asking lots of questions if your not getting it. You will learn!
I took him for Chem 2. He is a very kind and patient professor. He gives lectures at a slow speed and encourages questions to make sure no one is getting left behind. We had 4 test and 4 mastering chemistry assignments. Each test consisted of 2 to 3 chapters. If you are looking for an A, you can definitely get it in this class.
Chemistry is challenging, unless it just comes easy to you. But Professor Dabke is a great prof. He talked me through how to pass. The exams are not impossible to pass. You can make a B and higher on the exams, if you just take notes, review the Power points, and attend class. I am not someone who enjoys chemistry, but the labs were enjoyable!
Took Dr. Dabke over the Summer for Prin II. He is super laid back and doesn't get the recognition he deserves. Be sure to show up, participate in lecture, and know the problems he practices in class. If you can do that, the exams will be a walk in the park for you. He is an excellent professor.
Easy concise lectures, though they can be hard to understand sometimes with his heavy accent. I recommended going to office hours if your struggling hell go over literally everything and make sure you'll understand. I didn't start out doing well, but I went to office hours and I getting A's on test. His tests aren't hard just study.
Great professor for labs. I enjoyed this class, as everything was self paced. Mr. Dabke was willing to help when needed and explains each procedure before each section. I recommend this teacher for any chem labs!
Don't trust the coguarview total grade it is wrong. Went from an A to a C after he applied all of these random percentages. It's hard to understand him most of the time. He gives 5 question quizzes and just missing 2 is a fail. He does drop your lowest grade in quizzes and labs but it doesn't do anything. Tests are very hard and don't make sense.
Had him for both lab and lecture and his lectures were very helpful. If you don't go to class you probably won't pass.
He is a great teacher but if you don't understand a concept or have a question ask then and there
Need to show up to pass. Tests were pretty easy straight from labs and chem lectures. He helps with labs and goes over them before starting. Does drop the lowest grades but you won't pass if you don't go to class.
I took him for Chem lab and it was overall good. He explained the lab very well and in detail and was always walking around to help so you could ask questions. there were two tests in the lab but they weren't that difficult if you pay attention to the other labs, but each lab counts a lot so attendance is important.
Very nice professor and will answer any questions you have. He uses a lot of practice problems we do in class on his exams. Exams are not open notes but he does provide a periodic table and formulas, so be prepared to study and understand concepts and how to do the math problems.
