Very lively and fun. Very understanding and helpful.
He is a great teacher! Very energetic and helpful. He wants you to do good. He's very informative. I love his class. He also tries to get to know the students and learn their names. You can't say that about many profs. I recommend him for bio 117!!
Awesome teacher! He cares about his students. He actually makes the class interesting. I would recommend him to anybody!
Very hard to understand!!!!!!!

He teaches things that he doesn't put on the test and puts things on the test that he doesnt teach!! He is fun though. He also tries hard to make you understand things.
Can be funny. Makes class interesting but needs to be more clear as to what is on the test.!!!!!!!!!!!!!
He is a wonderful teacher !! Make class time fly by and is always willing to show you something if you need help. He also gives a 5 point quiz at the begining of ever class which can help you better understand the material and bring up your grade !! I would take his class if I were u !!
Sure he might have been difficult to understand at times but I you read the textbook and pay attention in class you will do well. Don't just sit in class and look at the powerpoints he posts. You have to read the book.
You can not just sit in class and think you're going to pass. It's not that easy. If you study and try you'll be fine. He was also a lot of helpful when I went to his office. The first 2 exmas were worded wierd, but the last two were easier to understand.
TAKE HIM if you can! He really cares about his students. Knew everyones name by the 3rd class! How many profs. can do that? Very helpful and wants you to do good. STUDY for those quizes he gives every class because they can really help your average!
Dr. Raj is so sweet. He tries to learn everyones name which not many professors do. He puts up the powerpoint slides on Blackboard and tells you everything you need to know for the exam and doesn't make you learn every little thing like Nelson did! Dr. Raj is excellent!!!!
I LOVE Dr. Raj! He has a great sense of humor, cares for students, is very helpful, and gives you a break on test grading(not anal, like Nelson). You have to study though! The class is not easy. Great teacher!!
i rarely understood a word he said. his test were way hard and he didn't specify what would be on the test. if you can avoid him please do
Go to class every day. Read the book . Do the quizzes @ the back of each chapter. Hard class altoghther, I don't think it was him. I nearly dropped, my final grade was like 2 pts from a C, I went talk to him & he let me & about 6 others retake our finals later that day. Made my C. If haveing trouble just talk to him, he is nice.
Dr. Raj was very enthusiastic about this subject! A three hour class can get very boring, but he kept the jokes coming and class went by very quickly. He has ALOT more student/teacher interaction than Nelson did. I missed a quiz and had no doctors excuse and he still let me make it up! He's a fun and fair teacher!
Awsome Teacher. Easier than 115 because of Raj. If you cant get him, take Robichaux
Please!! If you are on the borderline of a grade, GO SEE HIM! He is more than willing to help you out! He was able to help me and I am very grateful for that.
Wonderful personality and sense of humor. Some of the lectures can be boring, but his tests are very clear and he is very fair in his grading. Wish I could take him for another class!
Dr. Raj was one of the most helpful teachers I had at Nicholls. He is always willing to help you in whatever you need and he is also just a very nice person. I wish i could take him for another course. And I would recommend him to everyone.
Dr. Raj is an awesome teacher! His test are not bad, but you do have to study for them. If a dot is questionable on a model, he gives you the points. He gives group quizzes alot. He lets you make up your lowest quiz grade at the end of the semester too! His lectures aren't too boring and he doesn't waste time on things we don't need to know.
He was an ok professor :/. His classes were boring and too drawn out. He was helpful when you needed him except for NOT ROUNDING UP grades at the end of the semester which left me with a 79.76, C. It was pretty ridiculous.
Dr. Raj is an awesome teacher! I highly advise anyone to take him! If you study, you will do just fine! He is extremely helpful as well.
LOVE HIM. He's very funny and can keep things interesting. He is a little difficult but if you study you'll be okay. He just likes to ask really picky questions on tests which gets a little confusing. He's also one of the most attractive men in existence, and his good looks are very distracting.
very nice and helpful
He is an amazing teacher. VERY VERY VERY helpful and funny. Makes aeverything interesting. I wish he could teach all of my classes.
Dr. Raj is one of my favorite teachers on campus. For the cat dissection make sure you UNDERSTAND and not just memorize the blood vessels. It makes it so much easier when you study. If you don't understand, just ask he will help you. And make sure you stay after class when he shows you how to make the graphs for the lab report.
He is a wonderul professor and is really helpful. If you need help just go see him because he will try to help you
Very comfortable with material. Level of understanding increased by helpfulness. Accent not a barrier due to his willingness to stop and answer questions, as well as clarify. Extremely pleasant, interesting, and just a nice guy all the way around. Loved this class! Had to drop it. Did quite well this time.
To clarify above most recent rating: I did NOT have to drop his class. I have taken it before and had to drop but did quite well in his class this time. Thanks
I LOVE THIS MAN! He is so helpful and makes you laugh. However, you have to work for your grade. The work you put in determines your grade; which isn't a bad thing considering it is college. But that being said you can go to him for ANY help you may need. He is very knowledgeable of the material, and makes it clear of what you need to know!
Dr. Raj is amazing! Take him if you really want to understand that material. If you want an easy A where you don't have to show up or put any effort in, then don't take him. He wont hand you a grade, you have to work for it. Which is the whole point anyway!
Love the man! That's all I'm gonna say.
He was not very helpful at all. I did fine with BIOL 114, 115 and 116 but had difficulty with RajKumar in 117 and he offered little help. Find another Lab instructor
I really liked him!! He doesnt care if you go to class every week, but there are quizes at the beginning of each class. He doesn't provide mak-ups to the quizzes unless you were sick. Therefore you should go to class. He is not a boring teacher either! TAKE HIM!
Good teacher! Must attend class because of the quizzes given at the beginning of every class. He explains everything well, and he allows you to video explanations on the cat. He does not allow you to use calculators on the exams so know how to do the calculations beforehand.
You can't find a better teacher. Raj is passionate. He takes time to know his students. Be prepared to laugh during his lectures; he's quite the comedian. Textbook is not needed for this class. His tests require some critical thinking, but if you're paying attention in class and studying, you'll do fine. Sad that I'll never have him again :(
HORRIBLE!!! Passed Bio115 w no problems barely studying. Took Bio117 & studied my butt off & still failed the test no matter how hard I tried. For the test, there aren't any specifications on what he wants (a test without questions). Also gives quizzes every class, but does not provide a work bank or multiple choice options. All around CONFUSING!!
He's not helpful when it comes to preparing for the exams. In 115 Dr. Jill made sure we understood the material and prepared us for the exam. He just runs thru the powerpoint and throws us into groups with little direction. I would not take him again. I passed 115 with an A I'll probably have a very low C in here. There was also no open labs.
Would not take him again. Test are hard. Does not give much help during lab. Goes over material quickly.
Dr. Nathaniel is a great teacher! He definitely expects his students to put in the effort for a class that the material is pretty dense. However, he is very energetic and adds humor into his lectures to make them more enjoyable. You have to work for your grade, but he is there to help!
Dr. Raj is a great professor. Possibly one of the best I have had at Nicholls; while immunology can be a pretty difficult topic, Raj makes it interesting and almost fun. Make sure to go to class for his pop quizzes! They are not difficult and usually are just for fun. He has a tendency to talk very fast, but he posts his powerpoint online!
Does not give extra credit. Tells you that getting a C in his class is a good thing. Very difficult. Offers no help. Would not recommend to anyone. Ever. Study very hard for his tests and memorize all formulas and conversions!
Great teacher. But you need to study for the exam. He will tell you ahead of time that the exams are hard. Ask him for help on material not understood. Do not expect to get a free ride. If you work hard, he will help out a lot. Especially if you need a few points to get to the next grade, he will let you re-take a couple of quizzes.
Excellent teacher. Talks very fast, but you will get used to it. Ask questions and read the text book or material online. He will post all the lectures online. Asks questions mainly from his lecture slides. Take lots of notes. Offers extra credit for service at voluntary events, take the opportunity, it will help your grade points in the end.
Bio 328/329 are extremely difficult, but Dr. Raj makes them interesting. His lectures can be a little boring, but he is funny and makes time go by. If you miss class, you will get lost because the material is challenging. He'll tell you exactly what to study for each test. Pop quizzes are tricky and count as attendance. Awesome class.
I took it as a sophomore, so it was challenging for me. But I was still able to make an A. I went to class and payed extra attention because he kinda reveal possible potential test questions. I made sure to know every detail on the PowerPoint because his tests are very specific. He cares about his students and he's a kind person.
overall great professor.
He is sometimes hard to understand. The test are extremely difficult (especially the first one). You must read the textboon outside of class, because not everything is covered on the powerpoints. STUDY! Also PAY ATTENTION during the somewhat boring lectures!
Great professor. He is invested in his students and makes the material fun. Lectures are never boring and he is a cool guy to talk to. Yes, you have to study because his tests make you apply what you have learned. Learn to study every day. Will probably take him again in the summer for genome
You have to work hard in his classes, including this one. But you learn so much and it's a fun class to be in. His tests are always really tough, and he expects you to understand the subject matter. This class was fairly detail-heavy. But he throws in fun things like watching a virus-zombie movie and writing a paper on it.
I love Dr. Raj! He is awesome! I had him last semester, and I hope I get to take him again sometime! His class was hard, but I like his personality. He is funny and tries to make the lecture as interesting as a lecture can be. Great person and great teacher. SUPER nice and relatable!
He is a wonderful professor, and I am glad that I took his class. Immunology is a hard course, but with the help of a great professor, it wasn't bad at all. He really knows his stuff!
Overall, I really enjoyed taking Dr. Raj for Bio 117. All the human anatomy and physiology lab classes are the same, all of them make the tests together and give to all the 117 classes. So you do not want to look for the professor with an easy test... Look for someone who presents the information well. Dr. Raj did do that.
Hardest class I have ever taken hands down. Micro is already a tough subject and he makes it so much harder. He knows what hes talking about and genuinely loves the subject but his tests do not match the textbooks and hes hard to keep up with in lectures. His class was the first C I have ever made in my college career.
Avoid him at all costs. His tests are very hard & nothing like the powerpoints or what he says in class. He is always talking about his political views in class. He sees that his students are failing but offers no way to help them succeed.
You will do fine if you share the same brain as him. His tests are half powerpoint/textbook and half lecture. He is one of those professors that lectures as if the students already know what hes talking about. Dont get me wrong, he makes the lecture pretty funny at times, but he explains things in ways only a biologist would understand.
Dr. Nathanial has no regard for his students success. I am a student that studied every single day and never missed an iCliiiiiickerrrrr quiz. I would not recommend taking him. I would cross-enroll if I had to take Micro again
Dr. Raj REALLY cares about his students. I did very poorly this semester and I had to make up an exam (that I didn't study at all for) and he allowed me to take it at a way later date so I had more time to study. If you ask for help he is more than happy to assist. He poses no judgment on bad grades. PP are similar to test.
While the material of his class is challenging, he is a GREAT teacher. He is always willing to help and will work with you to achieve the grade you want. He cares for his students like his own children and has great lectures!!! He never fails to make you laugh in class!
I loved having this course. I took this course as a prerequisite for nursing. He is an amazing professor and the way that he lectures makes up for any difficulties that the course presents. He will encourage you, and make you feel comfortable in class. Iclickers were offered for extra credit. Read the textbook; it will help! He is truly awesome!
I hated sitting in his lectures. This is the first time Ive actually struggled in a class. The lab isnt too bad, but the lecture tests are really hard. You have to study like crazy to do well on them.
He gives you plenty of opportunities to succeed if you put in the effort. Attending lectures and taking notes will help you out in the long run. He gives interesting and entertaining lectures!
He is a very caring and funny teacher. If you have trouble in his class he is always available and helps you as best as he can. IClicker quizzes, do them, they help your grade and are open book. He gives you several opportunities to receive extra points. Tests are difficult if you do not pay attention in class. Textbook not needed but helps a lot.
Dr. Nathaniel is a fun professor & by far my favorite. Attendance is not mandatory but he gives clicker quizzes at the end of each chapter in class and online homework assignments that helped to boost my grade. He explains every topic in detail & drops the lowest exam score. book isn't required but it's extremely helpful. I highly recommend taking!
Dr. Raj genuinely cares about the process of his students & their performance in his class. He was extremely understanding & accommodating with any issues that arose. The only reason I would not take him again is because his class is HARD. The lectures were painful to sit through. The class felt hopeless at times.
After reading reviews, I was very skeptical on taking Prof Nathaniel. He was an outstanding professor. This is definitely an easy B class. He is caring and asks for you to contact him if you need any extensions for any reason. If I were better in science, this would have been an easy A. Weekly quiz, extra credit, few test. Provided free textbook.
He is such a great professor. He cares for all of his students and wants to them to do their best. He does not want anyone to fail. He will do whatever it takes for his students to pass his course. He is very informative and prepared for every class. He offers extra credit. As long as you pay attention and listen to his lecture, you will pass.
Best professor ever! Everyone said he was hard and I should take it somewheres else but I am so glad I chose to take his class anyway! He so sweet and very understanding! As long as you study and pay attention to his lecture, the class should be easy!
Dr. Nathaniel is an awesome teacher! Although his tests are pretty challenging and lecture heavy, he keeps class interesting and gives plenty of iClicker quizzes as grade boosters.
Dr. Nathaniel is a great professor. His class is difficult because he makes you work for your grade. He is very fair, but if you don't put effort into his class you won't do well. I really enjoyed his lectures and I would definitely take him again!
Lectures are long I'm not going to lie so it's kind of hard to pay attention sometimes, but he makes a ton of dad jokes so that makes up for it. He's a great teacher and will make sure you understand the content. He handled the covid-19 switch better than most so that's a PLUS. Attendance isn't mandatory but he does quizzes that are extra credit.
Raj was my absolute favorite teacher ever! He is so kind, and he always answers emails as soon as you send them. He is super passionate about Microbiology and genuinely cares about his students. The tests are not too hard if you take notes and listen to his lectures. The iClickers are extra credit,so class attendance really helps.
He did a an Awesome job on teaching and explaining material. If you have a question dont hesitate to email him
Attendance is not mandatory; however, he gives an iclicker almost every class (which is extra credit). he answers emails very quickly. His lectures are easy to follow. Don't be intimidated. the material is challenging but not impossible.
Kind, funny, VERY smart. Hes been doing this for YEARS and it shows. He will talk nonstop for the whole lecture time, but the content is interesting! The tests are 50-50 on what he says and on the PowerPoint, so take notes on what he says, NOT the PowerPoint since the PowerPoint will be there later! He does give extra credit through iclicker qs
Always very prompt in answering questions via email. Very friendly and willing to explain content.
Dr. Raj is AMAZING! I would definitely take him again! His lectures are very detailed, so make sure you go to every class! He gives quizzes at the end of every chapter IN CLASS for points. So you never know which class will have a quiz or not. TRUST me, just show up to class. You will not regret it. He makes lectures interesting. He is super funny!
Dr. Raj is a great teacher. he cares about his students and doesn't mind stopping to explain something. He replies to emails quickly and is overall a great teacher. definitely will be taking him again.
Professor Raj was an amazing professor! He truly enjoyed teaching and made every class interesting and worth attending. I definitely recommend his class, you wont regret it!
I studied 10+ hours a week for this class and still managed to make low B's and C's on his test ( I usually make A's). He claims that all his questions come from the lecture and the power-point on several occasions I looked up the question after the exam and the answer was no where. He does respond to his emails but they can be less than helpful.
Hes such a great professor! Yes, you HAVE to study in order to pass! Extra points are earned thru iClicker quizzes thatll boost your grade tremendously. He wants to see you succeed, so you can always meet with him during his office hours to go over your tests and discuss ways to improve your study habits. Id most certainly take his class again!
Microbiology is tough material wise but Prof Nathaniel made it so easy to understand. All Iclicker quizzes are extra credit, so if you're not a good test taker you can still pass with a high grade. Also, his dad jokes are hilarious.
tests are open notes but they are very hard. he has a lot of powerpoints and it takes forever to write notes on them. very nice and accessible outside of class!!
Dr. Raj is a top tier professor in the biology department. He is truly passionate about immunology. Immunology, however, is not a course to take lightly. Be prepared to study at least a week before the exam and make sure to take detailed notes in class. Dr. Raj is always willing to help and is great at giving feedback.
This semester was a COVID semester, making this class not like it was in past semesters. I had a rough semester but Professor Raj was one of the best teachers I had. He gave us everything we needed for our tests, and was funny. Just make sure you listen to his lectures and take notes. He really did make waking up at 7:00am on Friday worth it!
I enjoyed his class and lectures so much! He is truly one of those professors who loves his course, and has fun while teaching it. Our tests were all open book, but you still have to study to prepare! Definitely a class that you will leave with lots of new information. He gave extra credit through kahoot quizzes, so participation is helpful!
Mr. Nathaniel was an amazing teacher who really does care about the success of his students. He give great and detailed PowerPoints. He offers extra credit and lot of it! The test are open book but not easy. Take them in a group and you will be fine. He is amazing at responding to emails promptly!
I normally love biology and am an A student, but I found his lectures tough to sit through and not helpful. I got better test grades reading the book rather than listening to lecture. He does offer some extra credit and drops lowest quiz grades. Nice guy but his teaching methods were definitely not conducive to my way of learning.
Terrible professor for the fall 2021 semester. Our class started with over 75 people now we are down to less than 30. Test averages are around the 60s, which is not a student problem because a lot of my friends were A students in high school. Definitely not a freshman level difficulty, youre expected to do so much when this is our first semester.
Dr. Nathaniel's classes are the only classes I left actually learning something. His tests are open notes, but you have to study in order to do well. He is very willing to help if you have any questions. He explains difficult topics in a way for you to understand. He does talk fast, so record his lectures if he doesn't post them.
Dr. Nathaniel is a great professor, but the class is not easy. It's a lot of information, but most of his exams are open book, and all homework was due at the end of the semester. He also gives extra credit quizzes. Attendance isn't mandatory because he posts his lectures on moodle, but if you don't study until the day before an exam, you will fail
Dr. Nathaniel was a great professor. He offers lots of extra credit opportunities and genuinely cares for students. The course is not the easiest but it is nothing too crazy. He gives you lots of very detailed powerpoints apart from the lectures that covers a lot about the test. Highly recommend taking him if avaliable.
Dr. Nathaniel is a great professor! Hes always willing to help his students. Virology is a hard subject, but if you attend to all his classes and study a little bit every day, you will be fine! Everything on the exams is from the slides he gives. Would 100% take him again!
Dr. Raj is a great teacher who gives A LOT of extra credit assignments to help you out. the homework is a lot, but it helps your grade. His lectures are fun and easy to sit through because he cracks jokes throughout it. The tests are hard, but if you do every homework and extra credit assignment, you'll be fine. Also, he answers emails very quickly
Great professor! Always helped when I needed it.
His class is very LECTURE HEAVY. Some of his PowerPoints are long and detailed! The class was very hard, but he gave us opportunities to get extra bonus points which really helped in the end! He usually emails back pretty quickly when you contact him! Tests are VERY hard, so study reallyyyy hard! Connect assignments are time consuming!
Absolutely incredible teacher
Dr. Nathaniel's Immunology class is difficult at first but gets easier as the class goes on. His exams are multiple choice and open note/open resource, but he makes his own questions so you won't be able to just google your way through his class. He also does Kahoot quizzes that are a 10% bonus if you get them all correct.
Take good notes in this class and stay on top of work! He is accessible outside of class and there if you need help. Be sure to attend class because he does kahoots for extra credit. Focus on the PowerPoints and lectures and you should be fine!
He was a great professor and it was a great class. He was very funny but also kept the class very professional.
ALOT of information, he reads the slides and talks. I didn't understand anything, super super hard class. He is super funny though and I liked him as a person but the information was so hard and it was so much to take in. Loved the teacher, hated the class.
Excellent professor that is always willing to help! Immunology was a difficult topic (and highly interesting) but under his instruction I felt that I learned the material quite well. His Powerpoints were thorough, and we had Kahoots in class for extra points. Overall, highly recommended.
Nice guy but sucks - Politics and other topics brought up during lectures. Talks fast. Explains very few topics clearly. Left confused after every lecture. Did not make syllabus requirements well-known. Extra points given for attendance but only on days when iclicker quizzes are given and to receive the points you have to get the questions correct.
Dr Nathaniel is a unit. Knows everything, very helpful explaining outside class, easily accessible, down to earth, and is there to challenge you. I came out a better biology student actually learning stuff either never completely reinforced in other classes and new stuff to a great extent. I found the textbooks helped me...not needed though.
The class if very hard the average on the first test was a 65 with a 10 point curve. I don't study and guess and hope I made a good grade And he ask specifics about what color chalk he used for an explanation that he did for like two seconds.
He is a great professor! His lectures are brilliant and funny. However, there is so much material and it is very fast paced. All powerpoints are made accessible to students and are very detailed. Micro is a great class you just have to be willing to pay attention to lectures and work hard. Attendance is bonus points in the form of iclicker quizzes.
Absolutely terrible! I have no idea how this guy has any good reviews. Be prepared to study a lot cuz his tests are hard and unrelated to what we mainly discuss in class. Also when I went to go talk to him in his office hours all he did was sit on his phone and ignore me.
Dr. Nathaniel is one of the best professors I've ever had. He is super caring, funny, and easy to talk to if you need help. He keeps his lectures interesting, and teaches the material very well. This class will challenge you, but as long as you put in the work you will do great in his class!
Mr. Nathaniel was a very tough teacher. There are only four tests and a 100-point grade for homework. I cannot stress enough to take notes of what he's saying!! If he says it twice, even if it's not on the slide, it will be on the test! Extra credit was given by iClicker questions that can be up to 50 points and brought me to a middle C to a B!
A lot of what he says during class is on the test. The homework is easy yet time-consuming. The best way to study is straight from the slides and the Iclickers. The Iclicker quizzes all end up on the tests and is great bonus points. Don't be afraid to reach out, he is very understanding and willing to compromise.
I was in his class after he stopped doing open notes test and I could tell it was an adjustment for him too. I hope he will listen to feedback given by my class this semester for future classes. Other than that he truly does have an amazing personality which felt very comforting when reaching out to him regarding grades or course content.
If you are serious about medicine, take this class. He is very smart and gives you a clinical aspect of the pathways and mechanisms you learn. He will make you think on the test, and you will be forced to learn if you want to do good in the class. Go see him anytime he is very helpful.
he was terrible, never will take him again! when asked if he could help me didn't do nothing but blame it on me. you can't understand him because he talks so fast. you don't have time to write notes and pay attention.
Dr. Nathaniel was my favorite professor. I had him for bio 205 and 155. I understood everything he would say. He makes biology interesting and fun. He gives a lot of feedback. If I had the chance to take him again, I definitely would.
I took Dr. Nathaniel for immunology, genome biology, and virology he is a very understanding and helpful when it comes to his student and makes learning complex concepts easier
I really, really enjoyed Dr. Nathaniel, and his class. Although it is not at all an easy class, it pushes you to give 100%. Dr. Nathaniel is very passionate, and clearly loves what he does. You have to work for all of your grades, but as long as you take the class seriously and establish a study-routine for this class, you will be fine.
Dr. Raj is an amazing professor, the course is rather difficult but if you study and prepare you will be fine.
Super cool professor, funny and makes class interesting and the quizzes for bonus points are so important and a good reward for showing up to every class even though he doesn't take attendance. I would recommend anyone needing to take Micro to take it with him. Very smart and caring human!
His class is hard, but Dr. Nathaniel is amazing! Just pay attention in class and write down what he says you will be fine. He is also very willing to help if you need it!
Dr. Raj is a great professor! His class is challenging, but immunology is challenging. The course is fast paced but he takes the time to really explain everything. The textbook is not required, but can be helpful if you want a little extra information. I personally did not use the textbook, I feel that he gave us everything we needed.
He is the definition of professionalism and collaboration during and after hours. He is purely a great professor.
I took BIOL 106 but it didn't give me an option to choose that course. He responds very quickly and is helpful if you have any questions. Some of the powerpoints are long but he gives you plenty of time to read it. Everything that is on your tests are in the powerpoints. All quizzes and exams are proctored but it is open book, open device, etc.
Professor Nathaniel is engaging and passionate. His classes can be challenging, but with dedication and using resources like unstuck study, you can succeed. Definitely take this class if you want to learn.
Great professor, helped me with whatever I needed and gave me the point I needed.
I think if you attend the lectures and do the homework you will do well in the class. Dr. Nathaniel is very quick with his responses to emails and works with the students. He is very thorough in his explanations, and provides detailed PowerPoints. Overall, a good class!
He is amazing! He always made the lecture easy to follow and made connections between the material and events that were taking place in real-time. He has been very caring and willing to help in any way possible.
Great professor!
His class is on the harder side, but mostly because of the topic. He is really kind, respectful, and willing to help you!! Gives lot of extra credit opportunities and really just wants the best for you!! Would 100% take him again if I could!!
Dr. Nathaniel is an incredible professor. Going to class is important and adds to the slides. His tests are not hard if you study and prepare. He does not want anyone to fail and gives extra credit to ensure that the class average is at least 70%, at least for BIOL 155. The textbook is not needed but the program is required to do the homework.
He reminds me of an Indian Steve Carell. He's genuinely a hilarious guy who made learning biology much more enjoyable. His class was only difficult because of the subject, but he has a clear understanding and is very passionate about it. Unfortunately, he's very political. Remember, every cell in a liberal's body is conservative.
Professor Nathaniel made sure we had our assignments completed on time. He always responded to our emails or concerns. He pushed us towards getting the best grades possible for his class. Very great professor.
Amazing teacher. Everyone complains but if you study you will be more than fine
One of the best professors at Nicholls.
Dr. Raj is a great professor. He uses humor and analogies to explain complex topics. He emphasized the importance of truly understanding the material rather than simply memorizing facts. He often tied lessons back to real-world medical applications, which was very valuable for students like myself who are planning to enter the healthcare field.
His class is very straight to the point. He lets you know everything you need to do to be able to succeed. His tests are very hard but manageable if you put the time in. I enjoy his lectures and the bonus opportunities he provides for his class. He's a very funny guy!
He is a good professor, very funny one but heavy workload but if your going in for nursing like me you'll have to get use to it !! He is very generous with grading he rounds almost all of his exams!!
Dr.Raj is one of the best! I took his BIO 205 class this past semester. The complex topics in this class were difficult to process, but with the help of his amazing analogies and stories, I was able to easily understand and relate things to one another. As long as you study and put in effort, you will do perfectly fine on his exams.
While his exams are difficult, he gives great advice and answers all questions in a great timely manner. He also met with me (even though I am an online student) and he sat with me to go over where I was struggling to better prepare for the final exam. I am very grateful for Dr. Raj.
Love him. Material can be difficult to grasp but go to his lectures and pay attention. He explains pretty good. Tests are application based and pretty difficult to get used to. If you need help ask, he's super helpful and cares about students. He curves every test (19 point curve once).
This class is difficult, but he is a god teacher that is very understanding. Attendance doesn't matter, but it helps a lot of you are present with his extra credit iclicker points.
Very funny and cool to talk to. Definitely cares about his students and is helpful if you go to office hours. Tests are pretty hard but if you pay attention and study you should be fine. The test questions come from the slides.
