Dr. Wesley is an amazing professor, not only does she know EVERYTHING about psychology, she's an overall extremely nice person. I did not think I would enjoy this class very much, and because of her it's one of my favorite classes.

Excellent teacher. She has a slight accent. She is very understandable. She says v's as w's, careful. You should get a good understanding of the material. Gives weekly outlines. Multiple choice half of test in testing center. Essay in class. Don't talk during lecture or she will rip you a new one.

Dr. Wesley is an extraordinary professor. The people that thinks she;s hard must not be dedicated to the class. She will go out of her way to help a student just DON'T TALK IN CLASS, and do your outlines and you will pass. The study guides she gives are exactly what's on the test. I loved her. I got an A. Her final is exactly what she says.

Great discussions, but we fall behind the syllibus. You'll work very hard with the outlines, and things don't always get covered. It depends on your style.

Prof. Raj is awsome! If you are a Psych Major, you should definatly take her. Once you get to the advanced psych classes, all the teachers are stuck up and all about "their books", Raj, is not like that. she is down to earth and will help you with whatever you need. She is the best. you WILL learn in her class.

Raj is the best psychology teacher yet to be known, she is very interactive, very well organized, and gives extra credits. i would say in my own opinion, Raj is best for psyc 208.

She is a nice teacher, very well motivated to see u pass her class. Study your notes from the books, do all of the extra credit work and do the review questions for each chapter. The Mid term report is real easy. Find a topic then take the article to the writing lab and they will walk you through the whole report step by step. Good luck

An extraordinarily educated teacher. Very smart and very helpful! However, if you talk while she is talking in class, you will get a 20 minute lecture. She is the type of teacher that expects you to devote every waking minute of your life to her class. Take at your own risk!

She is a very tough teacher that gives you a tremendous amount of work but when you leave her class you will have learned alot...very helpful...willing to work with you...must attend her class every week...keeps the class interesting...

She is a GREAT teacher. She really cares and treats her students with respect. She will push you to try harder, and always has her hand out to help. Has very interesting disscussions and her teaching style is amazing. makes me want to be a psych major!!!!

Love her, love her, love her. But be prepared to work! She is incredibly smart and has a lot to offer, but she expects her students to put in effort, and honestly, it is the only way to learn (regarding Ed Psych). It is a no nonsense hard class, but it is a fantastic class. I will take what I learned beyond school. She is a great role model.

She is a great teacher, those who complain are those who if they get into a 4 year institution will fail out! She just prepares you for a 4 year degree. Do your work and you'll do well. If an Associate's is the end of the line for you, drop this class. If you want a BA/BS, this will get you off and running.

I don't know where I would be without Dr. Wesley's class. I have taken 3 of her other classes, and all of them prepared me for the way a 4 yr college teaches. Very smart and very dedicated. She expects you to pay attention, and do the work she assigns. Come to class, do the work and participate and you will benefit extremely.

ok..lets start by saying that the outlines she makes you do SUCK,however,they are mandatory and they help you greatly for the test. she is extremely thorough with the subject matter and makes sure everyone understands content.class can get sooo boring because she doesn't stop talking but you DO actually learn. take her if you're up for a challenge.

She does have a very thick accent so you have to listen very carefully. Yes the outlines she makes you do suck but they are for your own good they do help you understand the material. She will tell you that you are wrong & make you feel like an idiot but if your wrong you wrong. Her tests are mostly all take home & very easy.

She is one of the best teachers I've had so far. Though she's a bit hard and a tough grader she's always willing to help. Anyone who complains that she is too hard, obviously doesn't belong in college. She gets you ready for the hard work you'll have to do in a 4yr university. There were points in the semester that i wanted to pull my hair out, but it's one class that i can honestly walk away from and say that i learned something. Raj will make you work your but off. Dr. Wesley is hands-down the BEST professor I have had at Brookdale. She is extremely intelligent, and has taught me so much. Prof Wesley is great, but only serious, hard working students should take her. I learned a great deal with her that helped me in my current 4-yr school. It's true that Dr. Wesley is a bit abrasive. She also makes you work hard. However, she is extremely intelligent and YOU WILL learn in her class.

She can come off a bit strong, and she will definately put you in your place.Dont even think twice about taking out the cell. You'll learn a lesson from her..dont text during class..I no longer do because of her. Received an A but you definately have to work. Outlines due everyweek. dont be intimidated by the outlines they are really helpful for you to understand things. take some time but worth it. midterm n final 4 essays based on things in your outlines n group presentations. very nice and will work with you if you need any help. just email her ahead of time if you are going to miss class, attach the outline for that week

She was very mean to students. Her class wasn't difficult, but she did require weekly outlines on the chapters. They were useless. If she noticed you didn't have your outline, she would yell at you in front of the class for about 3 minutes.

Very difficult teacher, if you are intrested in topics you will get a B or better. Stay ontop of your work and you will get an A. My class is very disruptive so she got mad often but i understood the reasoning behind it. the students ruin the class not her....

I liked Dr. Wesley, but she does expect high quality work, if you are lazy I do not recommend picking her!

I love ms Wesley. Great class. would take her again definitely..you show interest in the class, do the homework which is very simple, just read the outline in the text book and write your nderstanding of it, weekly homework, attend class always, do the APA essay and essay essay take home test. personal examples help understand a lot of the topics

lots of work throughout the class but you also get what you pay for and learn a lot. at times the work seemed like too much but raj is more than willing to sit down with her students and go over any questions you may have. if you want to learn and be pushed to do your best, take her.

Dr. Raj does demand A LOT of attention for her class. As long as you pay attention in class and do the homework each week (tedious) you will be fine. Overall a fair professor, you get what you give.

I didnt plan on writing one of these reviews, but after seeing all these negative comments, I can't keep my mouth shut. Dr. Wesley is possibly one of the BEST professors Brookdale has to offer. She knows her****, and wants nothing more than for you to succeed in her class. She likes to know everyone one of her students on a personal level.

Raj teaches with passion. She expects you to learn with passion. Show up every day, read the book, do the homework, pay attention in class, and TAKE LOTS OF NOTES. It is not easy, but if I did it, anyone can. If want to make her happy, do your best. That is what she wants. She WILL push. But you will learn. That is her reward.

Absolutly wonderful! She demands a lot a work, but after the third week it becomes easy and she needs your full attention even if it bothers you it will def' help you and you will learn so much from her! If you truly want to learn in education I recommend taking her!

Dr. Raj is an awesome professor about 3 weeks into class. She is so passionate about what she does it really inspires you. But she can be kind of a witch sometimes, so ALWAYS PARTICIPATE!!! she will make you anyway!!! Do all your work and go to every class and you'll enjoy her and her stories.

Dr. Raj was the best! I highly recommend taking her class, she is hard but fair. If you do the work and participate you are golden. I did not like her at first she comes off as a hardass but she is the best by the end. All tests are take home! best teacher for psych and educational psych!

This woman has been the best psychology professor I have had thus far in my college career. She is amazing and really knows what she's talking about. Do all the work she assigns and read the chapters and you'll be fine. Great class. I highly recommend her to anyone whether you love psych or hate it and have to take it as a requirement. I HATED her in the beginning. she was so rude and stressed me out IN CLASS. but by the end, i love her. her teaching method was phenomenal, i learned so much. she's very very intense, but the class isnt hard! lot's of work, do it, participate in class, and you'll leave with an A. and the tests are take home...

Overall I liked the class, as long as you do the homework every week and the papers you are in good shape. She sets the bar extremely high for her students. She is always available for help and always makes time her students. She is a great teacher and really gets you to understand the material!

At first I thought I wasn't going to like this class since there was a lot of work (outlines due each week, midterm, group project, research paper, and final).However, if you do EXACTLY what she says you WILL GET AN A. Put the work into it, follow the criteria to a tea, and show some respect. She is very wise and inspiring for educators of all ages

Best professor at Brookdale Community College! She is so intelligent and really does help you with whatever you need. However, you must follow the guidelineshandouts she gives you and you will get an A. Meet with her during her office hours (you wont regret it) She's truly an inspiration and wrote me a terrific letter of recommendation:)

She's passionate about her work. It's like her dream instead of a career. therefore, she expects too much from her students. Her homework is just way too much plus the research paper is weird. I am a big fan of psychology but i hate this class because of the amount of work expected. If you looooooove hardwork and writing, take her. otherwise dont!

I took Professor Wesley for my Spring 2015 semester. But upon taking her class the first few weeks was hard getting into a regimen, but once you are able to figure out, it is beneficial for exams. She is incredible, engaging, pulls potential out of each student and makes you work for an A. Take her if you really want to learn!

It's been a little over a year and I really miss Professor Wesley and the wonderful class of Fall 2014. If you do exactly what she says & actually put your own effort into the work you'll receive an A and gain a new friend. If you're looking for an easy class to breeze though, do not take Raj. However, if you're looking to learn and willing to put in the effort, I would recommend her. She will work with whatever you're dealing with outside of class as long as you hold yourself accountable. She can get off track a bit about her personal life, but she genuinely cares.

I loved Raj!! Raj truly cares about her students, and wants them to learn! She likes hard workers, and expects students to work like college students should. If you do all your work, you will get an A. If you read, the tests will be easy! You HAVE to use the book, but for the price I paid for it glad we actually used it.. Don't miss her lectures!

What can I say about Raj. She is such a caring individual and she wants the best for you. She has a tough demeanor and demands excellence, but she truly wants the best for her students. It's not that she is strict about her teaching, but its her drive and her will to help her students is what makes her great. She is a true role model for educators.

Dr. Raj is the best professor I had in my life. If you like an easy A without doing the work then don't take this class but if you like to learn and be the best at what you do! Professor Raj is wonderful. This is a 200 level class and she treats it as such. You will work for every grade you receive, don't come to class with excuses. She is extremely fair- she grades you on exactly what she asks you to do, no surprises. The course requires a lot of reading and writing but I would definitely take her again! She truly cares

Taking Raj's course was one of the most challenging parts of getting my degree, but with good reason. She expects quality work out of her students and makes them work for the grade, which isn't like most professors at Brookdale. Do the readings, give the class and assignments enough time and effort, meet with her after class and you'll do fine.

I have taken this professor twice online for educational psych and psych 106. YES it is a difficult class. It requires a lot of writing and using your brain. However, she is very clear with the directions. She even took the time to meet with me to clarify an assignment. She was very caring and expects her students to put in the work. You'll learn.

Makes you work for your grade, but she is by far the most caring professor I have ever had. If you dont understand something, just go to her office hours and shell make it clear. I loved her class! She made me do things that I didnt even think I can do! She pushes you, and its not to hurt you. Its to better you !

I took Dr. Wesely in the fall 15 2019 semester which was hard. She really cares about the students and is passionate about what she teaches. Her grading is very straight forward. Do the work, get the grade. Many of the students in my class finished with A's and B's. She was truly an inspiration for the type of teacher I want to be. "You get it?!"

Raj is a great professor and cares a lot about her students. There is a lot of reading from the textbook and an outline of the chapter due every week. I would recommend her to anyone who has to take this class, but if you're not willing to put in the work you won't do well.

Professor Wesley is a tough Professor but I would take her class again. She gives a lot of home work and wants you to be so detailed but I believe it made me love psychology. Like I said she pays attention to detail and she wants you to learn but its for your own benefit. So take her if your prepared to work hard.

Professor Raj wasn't the best prof i've had for a psych class, but she does care about her students and I have learned so much in her class. I didn't do a big assignment in her class and she reached out to me and gave me more time, which I appreciated. The work load IS heavy, but honestly what college class isn't. I would definitely take her again.

Regardless of the other rates given to Raj, she is such an amazing and inspiring teacher if you really work hard for your grade. Beginning of my semester was rough, but once I actually started taking the time to read the textbook (ITS A MUST FOR THIS CLASS) and budgeting my time for the assignments, it became my favorite class I have ever taken.

Raj is a very good professor and you will definitely learn a lot. Nevertheless, this course is not easy and you will have to work hard for your good grades and do your homework (which usually takes numerous hours) weekly. If you are just looking for a class where you can get good grades without a lot of work, don't choose Raj as your professor.
