he's very hard to understand. he has a thick accent but his (3) papers are easy if you do it APA STYLE. when i did my first paper i got B+. 2nd paper i do an abstract and i get an A. there are no final or midterm. i would take him again but if he teaches by himself because he is paired up with another prof. and your grades depends on both of them

apa, apa, and apa, as long as your paper follows apa guidelines and few grammatical errors you should be fine. also do all the readings before coming to his class. he uses current events a lot. a very approachable prof. really liked his lectures and sexy accents. im going to miss your class for sure.

I love him. He's an amazing professor. He keeps you engaged the whole time. He's clear on what his expectations are. He's completely fair. Everything he discusses in class is on the exams. He's also really great to look at. Puts a winning SMILE on my face all the time.

just started taking his CJBS300 course this fall and must say that he is probably the best prof ever. he explains everything so easily. you gotta read before come to his class. class participation is expected. this is a 3hrs morning class and everybody is wide wake when he teaches, so heart melting lectures!

He is one of the best professors teaching the CRJ 710 course. Very young guy who is knowledgeable about criminology, psychology, and criminal justice. He is a PHD student and enjoys his job teaching. Class is fun and he assigns 4 papers, each being 5-6 pages. Decent grader but beware you must know the proper way of using APA points taken off if not

Prof. Bhowmik is my HERO!! This professor saved someone life by jumping into Hudson river!! He is really humble and very intelligent. His lectures are full of examples and scenarios, easy to understand. He simplifies everything for us to understand.

I have taken CRJ710 in last Spring with Prof Bhowmik and he was very helpful. I haven't been to school many years so I was worried. He likes to simply everything to middle school level, so that helped me a lot. :) If you pay attention to his class you should do well. I got a B+. Get ready to read though. Prof Bhowmik is exceptionally driven and accomplished a lot for his age. Best behavior profiler I have ever seen like a magician or a psychic. Don't be late he doesn't like that. He follows APA religiously so be mindful of that. Recommended!

First of all, he is insanely good looking. His looks make u want to go to class. Very intelligent prof and a criminal profiler! A decent grader, reduce points for grammatical and APA errors. Got an A- after rewrite the paper. I would take him again.

He is very specific in his syllabus what he expects from his students and throughout the semester. You go to his class, sit down, and he gives these amazing in depth lectures and you just take notes. Yes, you have to work hard but he provides you with everything you need to succeed. Whatever you do, dont fall behind. He is an amazing professor!

Professor Rajub is one of the best proof in John Jay! This is my Second semester taking him ! From my perspective he makes class interesting explaining everything clearly such as the penal law. Take him ! You won't regret, PS sign up fast for his classes as they fill up quickly!

This class was amazing. To be honest Prof Bhowmik is the most difficult profs of the 3 profs you have in this course, but also the best. He connects topics in the classroom to the real-world, making lecture fun. He genuinely cares about every single student in his class. Go for the course. It wont hurt. I had him for both 300 and 415, both were great courses. Lot of assignments and readings for both courses but he is by far my favorite professor at JJay thus far. He is fair, clear, and you know what is expected of you. If you do all the readings and show up for all the lectures you will do fine.

I missed few assignments and classes because of family emergencies and life in general but he helped me out a lot and let me resubmit those assignments. professor bhowmik is a workaholic, so suffice to say that he doesn't waste your time with meaningless work. Dr. Rajub is a great Professor. I took CJBS 300 hybrid with him. When I saw the syllabus I thought he would be a difficult professor but I was wrong. Very smart and has many degrees. Inspirational and caring. Attendance matters. Gives feedback. Class requires reading but so does college overall. Recommended to take

I took his class during the pandemic, he assigned his own textbook that he published himself. It had so many spelling and grammar errors. We had to do 5 discussion boards while replying to two people. 1 term paper 5pgs. Final exam was just summarizing 3 different chapters from his book 500 words each. It was ok, i guess, didnt really learn much.

He is fair based on the work quality you give him he will grade you based on that. He wants you to reply to 2 peers every time you do discussion boards and grades you based on a rubric he uses in tests and discussion board. The only thing you have to do is stay on top of the work and you will be good in his course. My grade in his course is 92.

He gives lots of homework for an online class but they are not hard tbh. Dr. Bhowmik is a fair grader in my opinion. If you work hard you won't fail. The course textbook was very easy to understand, short and simple for undergrads and empirically research based. He always replies to his email and very helpful.

Took his 300 class and had to take his 415 class too. His class gets filled almost instantly but I got approved for over tally. You will be writing a lot in his courses but it was all worth it. I learned a lot about research. If you don't like writing this course isn't for you.

For someone who is very strict on grammar and spelling errors, he should read over his own book. His textbook was filled with mistakes so it made it a little hard to understand, but it is doable. Overall, the class isn't hard, just make sure you do the discussion posts (5) and the 2 papers.

This was a good class. Only thing is that the textbook that he wrote and assigned for the class has so many spelling and grammar mistakes and at times it was hard to understand what I was even reading. There are 5 discussion posts that is a summary of a chapter and a 5pg term paper. Final was just making more summaries of his book. Easy A.

It was a good class. He goes by his syllabus a lot so make sure you read it. He uses safeassign for all assignments and you will see it if you plagiarized or not. I wish he didnt give us 25 pages final paper to write.

Took him during the covid, he is clearly knowledgeable but he will assign you a lot of writing during the semester. I was not into writing but through this semester I pretty much got used to it. If you like writing big papers then this course is an easy A.

An extremely intelligent professor! I took his two online courses, and you will definitely learn a lot if you read all the material. His class outline is pretty straightforward, and he has realistic expectations with due dates.

Took his class during the summer. Awesome professor. Super responsive and makes sure everyone knows what they need to do. No Extra credits but his home works are not overwhelming. If you are late on homework, hell give you an extended deadline, if you have a good excuse. Would highly recommend taking his 300 course.

This was a 17 day course so it was pretty intense. A lot of reading and writing, but he is very clear on what it is you need to do and provides feedback when he grades. He also does not make you wait long for grades so I appreciated that. No midterm only a short essay final (you pick 2 out of 3 questions) Discussion posts and reflection papers.

Great summer session: the workload was challenging but manageable. Dr. Bhowmik, very quick to respond and always leave feedback on grades. If you enjoy reading and writing, it's easy A final paper reflection on two chapter, each on a different topic!

found this course relatively easy, but if you don't follow his assignment instructions you will lose points. this course is based on 1000 points and you need 930 to get an A for this course which can be tough if you are not on top of your assignments. he makes everything as easy as possible. i would take him again.

You will find this professor very inspirational. He has many jobs and is never late for class. How does he do it? I'm not sure. He rarely misses a class and has a strict class attendance policy.
