Outstanding professor for antaomy. very helpful and very clear. His tests & practicals are average to easy. He's may give extra credit but rarely. Definitely keeps your interest in class. Explains the subject down to the core. He is not a 100% easy A but teaches very well where he makes it easy for anyone to get an A if you work for it ...A++ prof!

He is Good. thats all. his tests are not difficult as long as you study. i would've done better if it wasn't for lab but it's not difficult to get an A as long as you work for it

This prof is very informative and straightforward. he also apply difficult concepts to everyday life. If you read the text prior to class consult the powerpoint and review his review questions---definite A. If I can have him for AP2, I definitely take him again. He teach microbiology also. You won't regret it.

This professor is smart and explains things well, however he often incorrectly spells terms. His quizzes are straight-forward, he posts notes on blackboard and he really cares whether students are learning.

Professor Alcendor is fantastic. I normally dreaded Biology untill I took his class. He is quite helpful, explains concepts well, and is probably more appriachable than others I have dealt with. He not only cares about his subject (Biology), but also seems to care about his subjects. Make sure you take his class if you can..

I thought this was a very difficult class at first. However, after realizing his teaching style- you have to do a lot of work on your own. I had to study really hard for all his tests, but ended up doing well.

It's not an easy class - but he makes it very interesting. He is nice and easy going. Tough grader though. You will need to work hard for that A - be sure of that. I would take him again for other classes and recommend him as a teacher.

Great teacher, if you pay attention in class, read the chapters in class and do the online review you should ace his class amazing person in general. Always ready and willing to help out a student in need. Al in all amazing teacher i loved his class. He has a unique teaching style that you need to get a hand of. Lectures are very funny/interesting.

Prof A is a pretty decent professor... very easy going and extremely helpful... you will have to put time in studying, but he is willing to help if u do not understand a subject... only downfall I have to agree on is his pace of teaching is very very fast

I was scared to take this class during the summer since it was M-F but 4 wks is better than a whole semester with this professor. He is very funny, no non-sense professor, very helpful, and makes micro interesting. If you want an EASY A this is not the class, BUT it is attainable. He wants you to work for it. I recommmend him esp for summer session

I never took his class. But he's my subsitute teacher in bio 2. He's great in explaining stuff compare to my other teacherz. I have to say he's good.

the best professor for microbiology in the college hands down! he made microbiology an interesting and easy subject. you cannot go wrong, all u need to do is the review questions and theres no reason you shouldnt get an A, hes very helpful and the tests are very easy

He teaches the topic extremely well, answers questions if you don't understand something & has a powerpoint for every topic on blackboard. BUT when it comes to the exams, they were extremely difficult. The questions were so confusing

Very good professor, alot of work but by the end of semester you will definitely know micro, and your way around the lab. He is funny, and serious at the same time. His tests are challenging, so study. He is not an easy A you have to work for it. Take him you will be happy you did!

Great professor & easy grader. He rarely remembers anything so he usually forgets when we have exams. This will lead to online tests. Also, he always gives review sheets. The only bad thing is that he takes a while to put things up on blackboard and he talks a lot. But overall, he's hilarious and very entertaining.

He knows his material. He can explain very well. I was scared to take him but he is flexible and cool with the students too. If you review his study guide you will do good. Better then other microbio professor.

My Advise to you is do not take this class during the summer session. he's an extremely excellence professor but the summer session are HARD.Every week you have about 60 something review questions from his class not including the lecture class.Wish I took it in the fall semester I was hoping for a B+ or A anything less than that then you're fine.

He was an amazing professor very helpful IN CLASS. He is the head of the department so he is fairly busy so he tends to not respond to emails, mark test, and etc. on time. He's never absent. He curves the grades and he is very open to reason with your grade. Everything you need to know is on the powerpoints. He notices effort and it counts.

AWESOMNESS. I didn't know professors like him existed glad I took him, Everything is coming from his online assignment so do and cram them. Funny guy by the way and extremely busy but helpful. He has a good method of teaching too very unique and modern power point concept. Take him and work hard and you too can get an B+ average in his class.

Prof Alcendor is such a great professor. very smart. his lectures are intense, but you won't feel how the time of the lecture will fly, like 1-2-3. he gives extra credits. Microiology course isn't easy, but with him its easier to understand the concept. A+ Prof. Alcendor. he is the best!!!!

AWESOME PROF for Biology 1. very passionate about trying to make the topic interesting as possible. his teaching is good, gets you engaged . the class time goes by very fast, you'll rarely get bored . his slides are full of info and he gives review sheets on blackboard before tests which help A LOT. and he gives extra credit. he does teach fast tho

He's a good professor, I had him for micro hybrid course and all of the work was online his lectures were great. You must try your best to get high grades on your assignments and complete all of them if he sees you try hard enough he'll help you.

Had Prof Alcendor for both the lab and lecture component of Bio1101 this summer. I really believe he really wants everyone to pass. Gave us bonus quizzes to up our grade and answered everyone's questions during lecture. The tests weren't hard if you study. Didn't touch the textbook much, his tests are mostly what he writes in class and PPT slides.

Great Professor!!! He has a nice personality & a good sense of humor, just pay attention in class and as long as you read the slides you should be fine, if not you can read the textbook it definitely helps. I took him for Bio1101 and would take this class all over again :)

He lectures a bit before we get to work to make sure we have an understanding of whats going on. He gave homework every class but only returned our work the last week (some of which was given back with no grade) His post-labs on bb have answers entered as wrong when they are correct. He teaches well but is EXTREMELY DISORGANIZED. Wouldnt take again

overall hes a good professor and is very smart but is very disorganized, gives assignments never grades them or grades them wrong takes months to return, when post things online half the time everything is wrong. Good thing is he gives review before test and extra credit, hes funny and makes class fun

Wow hes really a great guy. He taught the material very well. i would definitely take his classes again because he was so funny at times. His reviews were straight forward. There were also online post labs as well as in class tests. He is unorganized he forgets to grade papers until last minute. But overall if you pay attention you will pass.

Cool Professor! Nice man, and he gives 6 tests in lab which you may think is a lot but his tests are not hard! He also factors your hw"s into your grade and your class participation so don't be shy to answer a question every now and again.

Alcendor is a great teacher. Powerpoints are helpful. He posts review sheets on blackboard after each chapter, be sure to do them to study for the test. It is a lot of questions but they are helpful. And the online assignments are an easy way to boost your grade! He's a funny guy. He gives mini in-class quizzes which is used as extra credit.

He's an amazing professor. Each lecture was interesting, gave extra credit pop quizzes and online assignments. He always made sure we understood a concept before moving on. The exams are usually 72 questions long but don't worry. More questions meant more chances to do well. If you are hesitant about taking him, just do it. He is my fav bio prof !

A really good and easy professor if you do all your work. Do all the post labs he assigns they really boost your grade. The test questions are from quizlet as well as the questions from the post labs.

I recommend this prof for microbiology! His class was half in class and half online (hybrid). This worked out better than the other sections because the online homework and quizzes counted as extra credit, especially if one didn't do well on the exams. Although we had more classwork than the others, we also had more chances to pull up our grades.

I had this professor during the summer session and it was ALOT of work!! 4 tests in lecture 4 tests in labs. The bears thing about him is he gives MANYYYY chances to bring up your grade. Lots of extra credit opportunities. I really struggled in this class but thanks to the various ways to bring my grade up I made it out with a B+.

Study and you'll pass. His lectures quick, smooth, clear and very informative, entertaining even. He tells you what to focus on, so his tests never have any surprises. I could tell he really cares about the students; he lets you make up exams, and encourages you to work to the absolute best of your ability. He's very understanding. A real gem.

He is by far best professor at Citytech. You will leave each lecture with knowledge of that day's material. He goes over everything in detail so you really have to be asleep to not learn in his class. Repetition is the key to his teaching style. Didn't need a textbook. lot's of extra credit. Da best Prof!

Awesome professor. Wished I had him for all my lab classes. Had him for Anatomy and Physiology lab spring 2018 and I got a grade A. A lot of homework because it's a writing intensive class. He give reviews to help prepare you for exam. Whatever is on the review, that is what comes on the exam, no surprises. I highly recommend this professor.

This class will be an easy A for those that listen and read his powerpoints. He is a generous grader, super chill, and he is not here to FAIL anyone! Unless you are super lazy, you should pass his class with a decent grade. He gives a lot of extra points and always tried to help. I learned a lot from him without tearing my hairs out.

One of the best professor i've met and thankful that I meet. Very very smart and enjoyed his lecture. He will help you through your journey in science as long as your willing to do the WORK.

Hes an okay professor with an attitude and sometimes rude 2 students. LOTS homework, and test every 2 wks. Did not give any extra credit. Study the slides that he gives in and out to do well on exams. Also material from lecture will help to pass exams. However he sometimes puts up the slides late so you probably have to cram for exams due to this.

He's a wonderful professor. He gives so many opportunities to bring up your grade. He gives extra credit. My class my half online so 35% or so was online work. He especially is helpful when he sees you're actually trying. Read the slides!!! Literally what's on their is exactly what's gonna be on the exam. Couldn't get any more direct than that.

This professor is only for serious student only, if you aren't serious enough you won't pass. Learn everything you can and you will success because you are going against the best or should I say the real professor out there. Don't do group studying or you will mess up but do groupwork in class together. Avoid lazy students or you will fall behind.

Professor Alcendor makes you work for your grade. His teaching style is amazing. He gives many opportunities to bring up your grade. Just stay focus and study and will pass his class for sure.

Gives lots of work throughout the semester on BB. Exams are specific and based on powerpoint slides as well as homework. Gives opportunities for extra credit before and after exams to boost your score. Not accessible outside of class, never answered e-mails or questions. You have to work for your grade but do all the work assigned, read the PPs.

please take this professor he's literally the BEST. gives practice questions after each lecture. before each exam, I would do the questions and get a score in the 90s. review the slides. I had him for lab and we had an exam every 2 weeks and had 2 practicals where we had to do a lab report and identify the unknown microbes. all in all he's amazing!

Like others have said this professor assigns a lot of work. I took this class online, and it was a lot, but he isnt strict on deadlines, and the work can be solved if your class makes a group chat and help each other. He also wasnt as snarky or sassy as made out to be, hes actually quite nice. The only complaint I have is the length of class

If you want to learn A & P take this professor. If you take your education seriously take this professor. I took this class online and he made learning fun. He will ask you questions, and expects you to do your part, but who A &P was supposed to be easy? The subject matter is complicated and thus grasping the material takes time. Take his class!!!

Took this class in the summer, lecture was asynchronous lab was is in person. For a summer course it was intense but Professor Alcendor was very clear, upfront and honest on what we would expect. Lecture notes and videos, is a must to read and study from because everything he tests is based on those materials. Highly recommend this Professor.

-lots of assignments but everything is based on slides -40% of the test are questions from the assignments -clear grading criteria for the research paper and gives a good feedback -do not let work pile up, it's easy to pass his class if you do all his work -he is very lenient with due dates -overall pretty easy class if you do what you have to do

There is plenty of homework but that way there are lots of opportunities to improve your grade. If you put in the effort it is definitely possible to get a good grade. He is well organized and his lectures are interesting and easy to understand. Would definitely suggest showing up for lectures. He's one of the better professors I've had.

Great professor! Very work heavy but it will help you on your test! He is extremely willing to help you understand the subject better. There are no deadlines for the assignments, but I would recommend not slacking off on those assignments that you need to complete by the end of the semester.

Prof. Alcendor gives a ton of assignments. If you do all his assignments you will easily get an A on the exams. He may seem hard at first, but it gets easier as you learn. There is a lot of studying. This course is doable if you work hard. There are tons of extra credit. One of the best prof in City Tech. No and Kat was amazing classmates.

I took this class while 8 months pregnant so if I could pass this, you can too! He gave a lot of assignments, discussion posts, group work, weekly quizzes, exams, and a detailed ab report. Great professor though, gives extra credit opportunities to help boost your grade. He is the type to call on people randomly to see if you're following along.

This professor is very good and caring. He actually wants every student to pass and helps us a lot. Gives bonus questions on exams which he usually mentions what they are before the exam. His lec and lab assignment questions are almost always the same questions as the exam. If you study well and actually review his slides you will pass. Take him.

The class was really interesting, not boring. The thing is you can't get an easy A here. You actually have to read the slides do review questions, but if you follow everything he says you should be fine. Gives multiple attempts for assignments.He wants everyone to pass the class with the better grades.

First off he is a nice professor, caring and just a nice person. Now, his class is extremely heavy, I'm talking 100+ slides for each chapter. then you have like 3 graded assignments each chapter and a discussion. It is very overwhelming and just too much. I would say not to take him if you have other heavy classes(like nursing classes). Don't take.

My favorite science professor. This man cares ALOT. You can tell he is passionate about teaching and wants his students to succeed. He drops a test in lab and gives extra credit every test/exam. Usually gives you the question ahead of time. He also let us retake 1 exam in lec if he saw improvement. He is flexible and supportive. Heavy work load tho

Prof. Alcendor is the most caring professor. Like the other reviews said, he does give a lot of work. However, if you're organized and you do the work it will help so much for the exams. This class is a reflection of how much work you want to put in. He gives you all the answers and resources yet people are still lazy. The best AP2 professor 100%

Professor Ralph is an awesome professor. He truly wants us to pass. Yes there's ALOT of assignments but I realized it does help in the end. He gives bonus questions ahead of time. Lets us retake one lecture exam if you aren't satisfied with a grade. He's a good guy.

There were allot of quizzes and homeworks. But he let us retake them and retake lecture exams. I only saw him for the exams meaning we had to go over a ton of slides which was overwhelming. But with proper studying it wasnt impossible. He cared a ton and helped the best. Definitely take him!

Really nice professor. Took him over the summer, and it was tough but fair. Lots of assignments and lots of reading, but the tests never felt unfair. Everything you were told was on the test, especially the quiz questions you do for homework. If you put the effort in, you will get an A. It is not a walk in the park, but it was an enjoyable class.

He is passionate about teaching and genuinely committed to ensuring every student understands the material. While the assignments may not be the most enjoyable, they are vital for achieving a good grade. If you are hardworking and serious about passing, you will succeed in his class.

SO MUCH WORK!!! He's a great teacher, had him for LAB and exams were really easy, like high school level. But he gave 3 assignments every week including a quiz after every class.
