For lecture he Writes all notes on board, tests directly from notes. But he usually speaks twoards the board too which makes him difficult to hear. Sit near the front in Forums.

Don't take him on a split lab - where another teacher (Parks) teaches his lab - too confusing, contradicting answers. He talks to the board as he writes all your notes, so sit up front to hear him.

great teacher! recommend him to anyone who needs a&p classes. teaches and lectures in outline form with notes, and tests firectly from notes. Has a few tricks on exams though. if he says he won't put it on a test, your know darn well, HE WILL!

He is very clear and organized. He gives about 5 quizes and 4 or 5 tests which are multiple choice and t/f. Watch out, because he likes to change a word and trip you up. If you study and show up for class, you will pass. Yes he is a cutie, but already has quite a big ego.

I took for the summer session. VERY EASY CLASS. Test directly from the notes and LOVES trick questions. Those just make you study harder. DO NOT sit in the back of the class. You will regret it until your "final" day because he talks toward the board, not the class. I hope to take him again for physiology.

A very good teacher indeed. He explains everything so it wont be really hard for the students to understand and plus he gives out hella extra credits just always go to the lecture and lab. An attendance is a must in his class.

Well, I must say I worked my ass of memorizing things for his class and I got an A too. I'm not vietnamese though :) I think if you do your best he'll recognize that, no matter who you are and he'll do his best to help you if you ask for it.

Now for an older man, boy is he good looking. His Lectures were pretty difficult but his labs were fun. I'd reccomend him not only because he's a good teacher but he is so handsome!

im still currently taking his Lecture.(I have Woods for Lab, get him he's great!)Talks soft nd writes in weird color markers barely visible to the eye.sit in front and bring a tape recorder. his tests are directly frm ur notes. whatever he doesnt cover nd is on the test, counts as extra credit.lots of notes memrization. knows what hes doing.=P

Don't listen to them...let's get real! Yeah sure his a cool guy and seems easy but he'll kill you on his lecture tests. They're not base on his lectures nor the book! Just base on his understanding so you really need to listen. Grading scale is ok but with his confusing tests? I don't know...he's not the best teacher to take for this course.

The guy below me is an idiot. Costa is the easiest teacher at delta. I spent all of 3 hours of studying before each test and get an A in the class. His test is from his lecture, and it doesn't matter if he talks soft, because he writes down all you need to know. I highly recommed him for anatomy.

You gota love this guy. He is sweet and cute too! His class is hard, but if you study his notes and back them up with the book you will get a good grade. He is very helpful! Make sure you don't miss any of his lectures, because his mid-terms and his quizes are totally based off of his lecture.

Just a quick not to all of you thinking about taking him for anatomy because he is easy, it is going to hurt you in Physiology, I just got done with Physiology and noticed everyone who had Costa fails Physiology because Costa is to easy and does not teach his students the things they need to get through Physiology, just FYI easy is not good!

'Had him for lecture. Talks soft in class. His writings are very difficult to see. Highly recommend to come early and sit in front. Tape record his lectures. Tests are a little difficult for me. Read the book and be prepared for a lot of memorization.

Don't get distracted by his good looks...His materials are very confusing if you don't read and reread and reread. There is alot of memorization involved in his class. If you put in the work...you will get the grade.

I totally disagree with the person who said everyone who passes Costa's class will fail physiology. I found his class helpful in some aspects of physiology and I even passed physio on my first attempt.

I think Mr Costa is a great teacher. The key to his class is to never miss a lecture and back up lecture with the book. Out of the choices for anatomy teachers at Delta by far Costa is the way to go. I love this guy and from my experience he was very helpful.

Wonderful teacher!!! The best teacher at Delta! He really wants his students to pass and understand things. Writes all of his notes out on the board-never have to read the book!! Has no problem helping you. Explains things thoroughly!! He is an awesome teacher

He didn't seem to like what he was doing. Would not speak so that all 200 people could hear him, wrote on the board and no power point so that we could all see what he was misspelling.

Very tricky teacher. Pretty hard. Hlaf of the class has already droped since the semester began. Very tricky on Test and Quizes. Says all test comes from Lecture, but not really. In some of the key lecture hes seems to mumble, and that usually is whats on test. I recomend taking woods instead. Peace Out

Good teacher (funny, helpful). Curves tests (got 77/100, still an A). Says his tests are based on lecture notes; they are, but bring a voice recorder b/c he doesn't write EVERYTHING down. and sit up close (he writes small).

Mr. Costa was great. he curves his grading scale big time and will take extra time to work with you if you need it. sit close because he writes small, and record his lecture because a lot of what he says not writes is on the exams.

this teacher is most coolest teacher I have ever had at Delta. He is just too awesome. He is very very nice teacher. He never gets mad. He is very helpful. It is true that his tests are tricky sometimes, but just write eveything going, even he doesn't write them on the board. But he will help you to pass the class or his tests. just take him

Great teacher! Very nice and easy to understand. Very approachable. I suggest you get to know him and ask many questions! Record his lecture notes since you may not be able to read his hand writing. Study the lecture notes and you'll do great on his tests! good luck!

Mr. Costa is a great teacher and very approachable. His tests were fair, and he definitely will grade fairly to the advantage of the student. You have to know the material and the concepts but he will explain anything if you have a question. I took him in the summer and got an A. I DEFINITELY RECOMMEND HIM!! I didn't record any of his lectures.

he tests off of his notes. KNOW HIS NOTES. STUDY. Thats what college is about. He makes anatomy fun. Althought the class was a little difficult, I enjoyed it because of him. Also he has a lower % standards. a 79 can be considered an A etc. Just put some effort into it. SO far he's my favorite Biology teacher. I highly reccommend him

Mr. Costa is a wonderful man. He is very nice and is all for helping his students pass the class. Tests are hard, need to read the textbook for tests. Very easy to get along with sometimes he talks fast and you have to keep up. But overall he is a great teacher!

Costa is alright. I found that his lectures were very boring and too fast. He covered too much material and then when you got to lab, none of it applied to lab at all! Just read your notes verythroughly. I was able to pass his class because he does allow you ta make up test scores that were really low... especailly if you've had a really bad wee

Yep, like he says: study, study and you will pass. You will need to learn all the nerves that compose the CNS(Central Nerval System), all the bones in the Skeleton system and need to know everything about the cardiovasular system. It's a challenging class. If you do not like science, nursing is not an option. Try to keep him in the lab

GREAT TEACHER miss days becuase of health problems but never say no for answering or helping you out. just make sure to set in the front talk in low voice and maybe record his lecture. best of luck.

take him for anatomy (too bad he doesn't teach micro or physiology!!!) his test are based on his notes, and his labs are all memorization of the skeletal and muscles. study, study his notes and labs and you will be just fine. sometimes he'll try to "trick" you with his lecture exams, but if you know your material (his notes) you'll be okie-dokie.

GREAT TEACHER! His class was not as hard as I thought it would be. As long as your STUDY STUDY STUDY (like he said) you will be fine. He is also very helpful if you actually talk to him and ask questions. and last but not least, he's a lil cutie pie! :-)

The sybject of this class is quite difficult but Costa is a very great and helpful teacher! I'd rcommend him to anyone compared to the other teachers. If you don't understand something then ask him cause he'll be more than happy to help. Don't SLACK OFF!! always read the chapters or else you'll be screwed on the tests. The tests are tricky so study

I had a different teacher for lab, so my only experience with Costa was him giving lectures and writing tests. His tests were VERY tricky, and sometimes there were things in them from the book that he didn't mention when telling us what to study for. Despite that, he is very helpful if you have questions or need help with anything in the class.

His lectures are a total bore and some were not on the test. He expected you to know these things. He's not good a explaining things clearly. I would not take him again!

Very cool teacher. He is very fair. If you try you will do good in his class. He is willing to work with you, to help you pass. His test are a little tricky and there are some questions on the test that were not covered in lecture. Tape his class its hard to hear him.

This was the best teacher that I’ve ever had in my scholastic career. He’s a helpful, dedicated, and reasonable teacher that hasn’t forgotten what it was like to be a student. All in all he’s a man-savage, If you’ve got questions he’s got the knowledge. An answered prayer in terms of making a class fun that might seem rigid at times. A+++ STUD

Mr. Costa is a very reasonable, approachable, and caring professor. He's totally on your level, never making you feel stupid in any way. Most importantly, he wants so badly for you to do well in his class. Best teacher at Delta, by far. Oh, and he actually remembers EVERYONES first and last names, even if you are the silent type. Very cool guy.

Mr.Costa is one of the greatest teacher @ delta, since Anatomy is a hard subject just study his lecture notes and you will do just fine. There is only 5 exams and yes he does curve FAIRLY n don't worry about the final because it wont drop your grade down, it would only help you!HIGHLY RECCOMMEND FOLKS!!

Costa is really good instructor for anatomy. Must be willing to study and work hard. He writes most of the notes on the board, copy them and tape lectures, and pay attn to the little stuff he says in class... If you try hard, Costa is willing to help you. Tests can be a little tricky, but like I said Study study study & it will pay off!

Dr Costa is an amazing teacher. He lets out labs early but if you stay after he will sit w you one on one, he lets you take home bones to study (shhh) and gives plenty of extra credit on his exams. I absolutely loved him as a professor, he cracked jokes, and was always willing to help. Just study study study his lectures and you'll do great

Dr. Costa is one the most helpful Sciences teacher that I have taken at Delta College. He wants everyone to understand the material and give practice quizzes to evaluate your understanding BEFORE you take a exam. He Rocks!

Dr. Costa is a great instructor. Human anatomy is hard but when you have an incredible teacher who knows what he's talking about and have a passion for teaching than you will learn and succeed. His tests are very tricky so memorization won't help. Listen to everything he lectures about even though he doesn't write it on the board.

Dr. Costa is by far the best teacher I have come across at Delta! At first I wasn't very enthused about attempting to tackle anatomy but he made eveything very fun, clear, and POSSIBLE to understand. ON TOP OF ALL HE'S GORGEOUS!! If I could I'd stay in his class forvever and would reccomend him to anyone that wants to LEARN anatomy!!! :)

Really helpful, if you have a realistic expectation of the time required you will be fine. Mr. Costa is not super "academic". He understands that students have a lot of commitments and is helpful with study aids and consistent office hours. Funny too...

One of the best instructors for this class. He tries to make the subject as easy as possible to understand. Highly recommend him. Midterms are not too bad unless you study, that goes without saying. Overall great professor.

By far the best teacher I have ever had. He is not only helpful and pleasant, he writes everything down that he says in lecture. curves grades, and also gives past quizzes to help you study! but don't be fulled he is nice and helpful but this is a hard subject so be prepared to study and you will do just fine! thanks Mr. Costa I loved your class!

Costa was good, especially compared to the other anatomy professors. You must attend lectures, record notes and review them in order to do well. It is no walk in the park. Be careful because he does tend to talk low while saying important information. Also beware, questions will often be tricky and sometimes never appeared in lecture.

Mr. Costa is a great teacher!! He explains the material in a way that it is easy to understand. Anatomy is NOT a hard subject, there is just a lot of material that needs to be retained. A lot of studying is required to do well, so be prepared!!!!

Great teacher. Helps you out a lot with practice quizzes and handouts but you still need to study everyday (at least)! Gives out extra credit here and there to help you out. Too bad he's retired but I still wanted to rate him :)

dr.costa was definately not an easy teacher to listen to.had him 7am&he doesnt use powerpoint.allhand written on board.beware of messy writing,but definately willing to help.he has a humor&he leaves class during midterms.he curves but will deny he does.different grading system.if only he taught physiology&micro!!

He teaches very well, always answers questions. Funny. Supplements Dr K's lecture while we're in lab. Easy quizzes to boost grade a bit. Reviews for the midterm since Dr K won't. Easy going. Tries to get you to learn everything on your own body. His lab exams are much shorter and easier than Dr K's. Wants you to do well but doesn't hold your hand.

He is such a nice man and he's super sweet. He lets you turn stuff in late if you ask him and be nice to him. He talks low, but he cracks up jokes from time to time. I love his class!
