He has a little bit of a confusing teaching style and goes thru things quickly, but he is very helpful and not extremely difficult. He also has tutorials that are very helpful when trying to figure out what the test is looking for.

Prof. Mendez's teaching style may be a bit confusing to some, but he is very fair and extremely helpful whenever help is needed. Keeping up with the homework, reading, and tutorials is a must, and doing so will make the tests a cinch. I recommend.

Nice Teacher but difficult course

his tests come from homework assaignments but there exactly from your homework so its easy. He does skip around in his teaching but i personally like him

having completed the course, i would say he is the best acct teacher out there. Tests come straight from quizzes. He really wants you to learn, but even if you dont its not difficult to get an a. He is a super cool guy also. Real nice. Pizza party final. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Mr. Mendez is not just an interesting teacher when it comes to accounting, he's an advocate in teaching young college students on how to be positive pillars in the community. He teaches accounting while teaching young adults how life is in the real world and that's something that many young people really need. He values people helping others!

I took his intro to accounting or whatever, and I SUCK at it, Mr.Mendez was extremly understanding and helped out 100% always made himself available to his students and had great advice for anybody who would accept it. Aside from what everyone says, Ralph isn't that bad at all. The class is pretty easy now that they have online textbooks/homework assignments. He gives you a week to do them, and if you can't, he'll extend them cause he understands we have a life. Group tests and assignments. If your group completes a "hard" assignment, no test for you! Easy A!

Hard class, but cool professor. Most people don't like the class cause the material is tough. He tries his best to explain it and relate it real-world situations. Cares about his students, rather we learn something useful than pass a test. Group "tests", homework isn't mandatory. Bases your final grade off how well you contributed to your team.

Mr Mendez is an awesome teacher. He truly cares about not only his students learning the material, but becoming better citizens as a result of his class. It is rare to find a professor willing to give a home# in case his students had difficulty with the take home group final. I am looking forward to taking him again for accounting 2302.

I am currently taking his class. i find it to be really rewarding. he is a very easy going teacher with alot of experience in the field of business. this is a self learning class but is not difficult at all. If you want an A you have to attent to class everytime and be willign to learn.

Mr. Mendez was extremely helpful! I failed accounting 2 before I chose to take it with him. I always struggled with accounting. He's always available to help any students. He wouldn't move on in his teachings until everyone was on the same page and understood every subject. Easy A, just show up to class and at least try on HW and assignments.

Professor Mendez is wonderful he cares about every one of his students, if you read ahead of time and aren't lazy you will be just fine with his lectures, there is a lot of group work which helps you learn and teach others as you go, look over the book, and do the HWs ask questions a lot of questions during class and you will do great.

Best Professor! Really cares about students. Took 2301 & registered for 2302. 2301 course had lots of homework, BUT after speaking to class on how to improve he listened & decreased to less. Ralph Mendez is a really good teacher who genuinely cares about his students. Beware that there is a lot of homework assignments and quizzes, but given the fact that this is an accounting class that should be accepted. He works with his students really well to make sure they're all doing ok. If show up and do the assignments you will be fine.

Perfect attendance no final. Ask him nicely and he can extend some HomeWorks. He cares about us, he may get off topic because some of us are not understanding the subject as fast as others, so may look unorganized but he has to work with a lot of different students pace. Please be patient he is an awesome professor and cares about us.

I honestly loved Ralph. Yes he can be harsh sometimes, but he is an older professor. He cares about our education more than anything. If you get the chance to go on the field trips you should. Took both Accounting courses with Ralph. Hands down the most influential professor Ive had. He truly cares about his students & wants us to be successful not just in class but in life. He teaches us the importance of networking & the impact it has. Yes, he leaves a lot of assignments but he will answer any questions you have & provide feedback.

Prof Mendez is great, but online teaching is not his forte. Accounting is already difficult and this class you mostly have to self teach. Luckily grade weight is mostly homework which is easy and you have checks. Group tests are the worst though as the midterm is graded as a group. You know how that goes. I would def take him in person though

Mr. Mendez is good chap and darn professor but online is not fine point and that's understandable. Accounting is a class best taken in person with actual people who work together. Mr. Mendez is big on that working together however not all students agree. The class itself requires a lot of work and dedication, use the prof and tutors for help.

Great Professor , easy class. You can get an easy A by doing Homework's and come to class. You can be exempt of midterm and final if you do optional assignments. However , its so easy to pass that I am not sure If I learned enough for ACCT 2302.

Great professor who allows you to pick and choose what type assignments you want to turn in. Allows for the student to understand the material as well as giving an opportunity to get an A. There are a lot of homeworks however most problems have a walkthrough attached and book links that takes you to the chapter that is associated with the problem!

Ralph was the most caring person ever, he's been through rough, so he knows how school is EXTREMELY lenient. Professor Ralph is a laid-back teacher who extends due dates and offers help. Assignments include one chapter a week and a required hw, with other optional available. You can skip mid-terms and finals by completing enough required and optional hw. It's an easy class but requires a bit of self-teaching..He does ramble and repeat himself sometimes.
