This teacher is great! First off, she gives out a butt ton of extra credit for people participating in discussions. She also allows you to re-do your tests for extra credit. She extends test dates if the class doesn't feel ready for it. She'll stay with you after class in her office to help you work out problems too. She has an accent, but its ok.

By far the BEST proffesor I had at HFCC. Calculus 1 is a hard subject but she is a amazing teacher. She will help you out after class if you need it. Very nice proffesor and she knows her Math! I highly consider her if you are not that could at math.

I adored her. I had a really hard time with math since I have been out of school for ten years and she helped me every step of the way. She stays after class everyday to help and will talk to you on the phone about any questions. She is super nice and really tries hard to help

One of the best Math teachers i've had. Shes really nice, funny, but she give you a lot of handouts, but most of them she dont collect. They are all for your to review. she's a very nice lady & will spend lots of time with you during office hours but should not be allowed to teach. she makes everything more difficult than it needs to be. review sheets doesnt match her test which makes studying almost useless. gives too much homework and too many quizes. she doesnt use the book cuz she says its too easy. avoid her.

Very nice professor, and easy going. She is very helpful, and goes out of her way to help you understand. Yet, she gives too much % on test for overall class grade (81%); way to high for all the homework and effort a student has to go through, and let's not forget those who have a hard time with test. You will fail if you cannot take tests well.

The best teacher I've had in my life. She is extremely good at teaching math. The structured homework really helped me master the material. I had pre-algebra skills coming in and learned 2-3 years of math in the class. She is very interested in helping students and if you put in effort she will do anything to help you. Highly recommended teacher.

Dr. C is one of my favorite math teachers ever. I took Calc 1 and 2 with her She continued to help me during office hours even when I wasn't in her class anymore. Always explains thoroughly, and even though her tests are kind of tough, if you study you'll do fine.

Dr. C is an amazing teacher. She is so helpful & very concerned with each and every one of her students. If she notices you slacking she will do what she can to pick you back up. The work is hard but it is Calc 2. She explains very well & will clarify if not understood.

Amazing teacher!!! She will not be satisfied unless you understand the material before you leave class and she will make sure you understand it! Extremely patient and loves it when you ask questions. She is a very hard working professor, but she can be kind of annoying at times. Her class isn't the easiest but it is possible to get an A, you really do have to work for it.

While Dr. C will bend over backwards to help you if you're having trouble in her class, you may need to take another teacher if you really don't know the material in advance. She can get a little confused when pointing things out in class and also create some difficult and time-consuming exams.

Dr. C really knows her stuff. She explains in different ways so everyone can understand. If you're struggling meet with her and she will help you understand it clearer. Tests are pretty easy if you understand the material. If you decide to fool around and not dedicate time to study YOU WILL NOT PASS! Highly recommend her!!!

GREAT TEACHER. Calc 1 is a very hard subject and she does a really well job of breaking it down. She makes herself welcome as much as possible for extra tutoring outside of class. Tests are hard but if you study well enough you can ace it. Homework 2-3 times a week. She grade tough but wants you to know the material instead of the right answer.

She's the sweetest and will go out of her way to help you understand. Must attend, participate and let her know what you know in order to benefit. Be ready to spend 60 hours on homework. It'll be worth 10% but will only benefit you. Overall, great professor! :)

Very good teacher. Kind, funny, and caring too. At least one extra credit after each exam. I would greatly recommend this class.

Over all she's a good teacher. But I think she goes a little to fast especially for those who are slow at grasping the concept. She is very kind and will stay after class to go over problems that you aren't getting and is always there for office hours and answers through email. You have to make sure to go to class because she covers material fast.

Out of all the Math teachers I've taken since Intermediate Algebra, this teacher is the best ever!! The nicest lady on earth! She makes the class easier to learn, I learned so much from her! She works with her students outside of class, and is willing to meet at different times in order to help students. Strongly recommend this teacher!

She sometimes gets confusing with the way she teaches but just ask her whats going on and she'll explain. If you study outside of class or even her office hours you will pass. Her exams are really easy when you get the hang of the material. She usually lets you retake/replace your final with your lowest exam score. Drops 3 low quizzes and 3 low hws

Dr. C is by far the most amazing prof Ive ever had. She is kind and actually wants you to get a 100 on all her exams. Pay attention, come to class everyday, study for quizzes, do hmk. The quizzes force you to catch up if you fall behind. Loves students,gives a lot of time to help,understands that we have lives so she postpones things if needed.

I love Dr. C. Her explanations are quite good and she gives very helpful note handouts. She is extraordinarily caring. But also, Calc is a doozy!! It is important to take DETAILED, ORGANIZED notes because you will CONSTANTLY be looking back on them as the material builds. It is also important to study frequently or you will forget crucial details.

100 percent the best professor Ive ever had. Ive taken her for calc 1 and 2 and shes made the class super easy. I dont know what everyone else is saying about the amount of work she gives its one quiz a week 2 hw assignment max a week and a test every month or so. She offers tons of office hours and chances to get extra help. Best teacher. <3

Dr. C is a funny and caring professor. There are notes you need to turn in after every class, forums every week, groupwork before every exam, and WebAssign homework and quizzes every week. There was supposed to be 3 exams and 1 final, but because of time, we only had 2 exams and 1 final. She is usually available an hour before and after class.

She is a wonderful teacher! I took her for Math-180 (50% in person 50% OL) and she is amazing! Her lectures are great and easy to understand. She is very kind and gives partial credit on exams and quizzes as well extra credit questions at the end. Dont listen to the other reviews put in the effort and you'll do great! Dr. C made learning calc super enjoyable. She is very good at explaining topics in lecture, and if you have questions she is always available outside of class. She provides study guides that are very similar to the material you will be tested on. She is also very caring and understanding of students and any problems they may be having.

Dr C was very caring and would check on every student to make sure they understood. She has a lot of office hours too. I took Math 180 (Calc 1) with her, so don't expect the material to be easy. She dropped 2 lowest quizzes and assignments, offered extra credit too. Gives extensions. 5 tests/semester including Final exam. Will take Calc 2 with her.

This professor was amazing and the best math professor I had. I am unsure why there are bad reviews but I'm sure those people didn't put in the work or effort. Her review sheets are exactly what the exams look like , she offers many office hour opportunitys and is caring . in the end of the semester she bumps your grade by removing quizzes and hw.

If you come after class and ask she will help, in the beginning i wasn't a fan of her teaching but later i grew to like the class. It's effort for classes like this, i even left a bad review in the beginning and i regret it because she is very helpful and kind. If your willing to work hard this class is for you. You really cant give up.

Im probably gonna drop this class but Ms Chidambaram is one of the most caring professors I ever had she will tutor you and offers office hours and there's student tutoring. However she's very test heavy they are worth 70% of your overall grade so be prepared for a lot of studying. If you take this professor be sure to participate.

Rama is easily the best algebra teacher I have ever encountered. Her lectures are easy to understand and you perform the learned material in class as she comes around and gives feedback and help with it. Plenty of homework for you to comprehend the material as well. Other reviews say her accent is hard to understand but I definitely don't think so.

Literally one of the best math instructors at HFC. First of all very caring with students. She gives a lot of handout which is good because the exam will be based on the handout questions. She takes her time to respond to any question we have, sometimes dedicating the whole class period to answering questions from students.

Shes a good professor who cares about her students, the material wasnt easy and i think she did her job explaining it. you just gotta go home and study the material like any other class.

Overall she cares about her students and if you understand the material, though she also is a harsh grader. At the end of the final exam she pulled each person aside and gave them some advice. The tests were difficult and if you missed a class you more than likely missed a large chunk of a test, which happened to me. Though not mean or malicious.
