Great Professor, has a slightly heavy accent, but he is understandable. Worth taking his class for a statistics requirement, just show up, do what he says in class and you're set.
AWESOME professor! Teaches math for dummies. If you do the Homework( which is not a lot.) you can pass the class easily. Would recommend anyone to take him.
this guy is great... all he does is look at you funny and stare at girls cleavage! just show up and do the homework and you got a B guaranteed.
Good Professor. Has a little bit of an accent but he teaches the class like statistics for dummies and writes everything on the board for you. 3 tests and that's it. Very easy.
Easy Teacher. All you have to do is show up and do the homework and anyone can get an A.
Do all your homework and do not miss class. He is a great professor and you will definetly pass with atleast a B.
For all Psych Majors: TAKE HIM FOR STA 2122 and STA 3123, if possible!!! I managed to and it was easy class to pass with him. Teaches Stats for Dummies. Follow his steps (very detailed notes). Do NOT miss class. Slightly thick accent, but understandable.
OMG, this is so Stats for Dummies! I can barely do regular math and I got an A!

This professor is great. Make sure to go to class and do the homework. He's always nice and willing to help if you pass by his office. I wanted him for the second stats but it was closed!
he's great, i suck at math and i really learned in this class!
His notes are great and his lectures are too. Now, if you don't get it when he explains it, good luck.He does not COMPREHEND questions, even though he speaks English ok.You can ask him a hundred times and all he'll give you is a standard answer. If you go to his office prepared to be put down..."you have not read the notes, read it again, and again"
His class is SUPER boring... He's straight-forward about what he expects... Very hard to understand, he has a very think accent...

This guy is really nice. I really like him a lot. He's extremely helpful and nice and he's very clear. He does have a heavy accent but he writes everything on the board so you can get everything he's saying. Tests are very straight forward, great teacher!
GREAT TEACHER!!!! GIVES THE NOTES TO YOU STEP BY STEP SO YOU ALWAYS KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DOING.
He is an AWESOME teacher! His notes are EXTREMELY thorough and easy to understand. his tests are easy if you just pay attention and do the homeworks. he is super nice and always willing to help you with any problems you may have. and he is adorable :)
Hes ok. Hes notes are awesome. but listening to him sucks he cant lecteur for****. and dont let him even think your talking hell get on your case in front of the whole class. you gotta go to the class and do alot of practice questions for the exam. its not easy. i really dont recommend him if you can get someone else. but thats just me
He was very unhelpful during the entire class. Unusual office hours. His tests were not straight to the point and too much confusion during answering the questions. Given that he has a strong accent he pretty much wrote and answered his own questions on the board. He did not give anyone a chance to reason. Very strict grading policy.
grades are comprised of 3 tests, 2 tests combining about 5 chapter each and the final combining all material for the year, not a great teacher, boring would not reccomend at all.
this is the second time i took stats, and i passed. he explains the material very thouroughly.my advice is take good notes, do teh homework, go to his office hours if needed and get free math tutoring and you should pass
He teaches so that you can some what understand the content, but he tries to push too much at once.. The tests are not THAT hard, but he is a very hard grader and wants the questions he asks to be answered the same way the book states it... Basically if you dont have to take this class, then dont.
if you can actually sit through this BORING lectures you'll pass. i didn't but then again i never went. only 3 tests including final (which can double and replace lowest grade). writes small, heavy accent you sometimes can't understand, and DOES NOT ANSWER QUESTIONS. but he does teach really slow so if you pay attention you'll retain most of it.
He is very boring and you have to take A LOT of notes. his test are based on the notes so study ver very good the notes. I gotta a C in that class but all i did was copy notes. Study the notes. He gives 3 exams and his grading of the exams is ver detailed. He gives reviews but STUDY THE NOTES.NO NEED FOR THE BOOK JUST THE NOTES.
Gomez is a prof I would recommend to anyone. He is very clear (despite his accent) and will always help you during office hours. If you just do the homework and pay attention in class, you will get at least a 'B' in the class.
Gomez is a really nice professor. Not the best professor that I have had, but he does try his best for you to understand his class. He's always willing to answer your question. His class is not easy, but its definitely not hard.

Prof. Gomez is a really good proffesor, he teaches with clarity. His test are easy if you review and go to class everyday.... he is great!!!
He has an accent, and its not that bad. His notes are very thorough gives a couple of bonus problems on the test. He has a rule that your final can override your lowest test score. I recommend him if you have to take this class.
HE IS JUST A TERRIBLE TEACHER
He has a very strong accent but he's a great teacher. He gives plenty of notes but in the end it's very beneficial. I never used to text to study for his class. He's a really nice man and is always available for help. He stresses his office hours. He always seems so happy when he comes to class. Know how to explain everything you do on the exam!
Only B i have ever gotten in college! He is very picky on his tests. No multiple choice no curve. Don't take him!
Great professor!!, My WEAKEST subject is math and I was able to pass his class with a B. He doubles the final so if you mess up on one of your test you can make it up. He does a review at the beginning of every class to make sure that you understood the previous lecture. If you go to class and do your HOMEWORK (really helps), then u'll do fine.
Very helpful, and gives ample opportunity to get good grade in the class.
WOW. This teacher is so unkind.I went to see him during his office hours to ask him a simple questions and he was so rude & not patient at all. I left crying.A teacher does not suppose to make scream at u.That was the 1st week of class so i figured if he cant take time to be patient w/me for the 1st chapter imagine for harder ?Don't take him!
He's an awful professor. Don't get me wrong, i understand that this is a hard subject to teach. However, why teach something you cant explain. All he does is read straight out of the book. If you have a question, he will simply refer you to the book and not answer it himself. TERRIBLE. i DO NOT recommend him as a professor.
I hated this class; the professor did nothing more than give the most boring lectures, and mostly assignments. The class was so boring, and I had a hard time understanding him. He was not helpful at all, and I hated the class, thus dropping it. BORING!
I have to be honest, I attended his course about 10 times and rarely took notes and still managed to get an A. But that's just me. You have a cheat sheet that you can take for the exams, and he explains things thoroughly, and is helpful out of class. He really babies you throughout the course. Good, fair teacher, very understanding
What a jerk! Don't take him for Stats! Gives good, clear, clean notes. However, he is such a jerk & won't answer your questions and is VERY rude. I highly/strongly suggest you take Stats with Prof. Reisert or Dr. Mi; they are wonder professors &wonderful people. They actually are willing to assist students in and out of class unlike Prof. Gomez.
his notes are very clear. He gives examples of everything you must know for the test and he will give you formulas you dont need to memorize anything. His personality is a little weird very strict classroom rules. Make sure you turn off your cellphone!!!!
The professor knows his material, but shows poor teaching ability.
DO NOT TAKE STATISTICS WITH THIS MAN! He truly is an awful professor. I was at every class, took good notes, studied my ass off, and i still couldnt pass his exams. Luckily i retook the class with professor MI and did much better. But seriously, try to find another professor.
Those of you who are bad talking the Professor just didn't go to class and do the homework he assigned. He has a very strong accent yes...however he teaches extremely well! Everything COMPLETELY broken down. The homework helps Tremendously. Great person and is always available to help. I STRONGLY RECOMMEND HIM!!!
His accent is hard to understand but he's a very good teacher. His notes are long but they are excellent. All you have to do is read his notes and pay attention and you'll pass! If you ever need extra help, he's always available! NEVER be late for his class...he will embarrass you. His tests are kinda easy... he's overall a great professor!
Prof Gomez os one of the best stats teacher when it concerns notes, he provides excellent notes. The only thing that I don't like is that his interaction with students is very cold and you will not know your grade until you see on on panthersoft. He does not provide any extra credit and basically you have to pass with a 70 all the exams.
he's a great prof.. he can get boring and repetitive but its just to emphasize things.. he's very clear and his notes are great. he's one of the few math prof. at FIU who knows what he's doing
this professor is amazing. he babies you through every stats problem (meaning he breaks it down to the point that he even shows you the addition/subtraction parts). the notes are incredible. if you review the notes and do the sugg. hw problems you are GUARANTEED to pass. ignore the people with bad comments; they're probably just extremely dumb.
Good teacher for math, teaches like you've never seen math in your life, and thats what I needed(for someone who wasn't so good). Grabs your attention, and examples from notes are what is more or less on the test.
I definately recomend this professor! His notes are awesome, he is always available to help, and test questions resemble homework questions. He is very picky about tardiness or leaving class early so just be careful with that but I definately recomend him because my experience with other professors in the FIU math dept. has not been the best.
This class is not that hard but YOU HAVE TO GO TO CLASS!!!
he babies u the whole time. he really breaks down the material really good. the home work wasnt helpful for me and his exams are basically examples form his class notes. hes a good teacher but hes REALLY strict on classroom rules, it feels like high school again.
He is a great professor that is very clear when he teaches. Even though attendance isn't mandatory, go to class to hear the lectures cuz they do help. Take notes and you'll do fine.
AMAZING TEACHER! He explains everything thoroughly and his notes are great to a point where if you are reviewing the notes at home, its like he's explaining it to you again. GO to class and review notes and you've got an A WITH comprehension of the material.
Great professor, highly recommend him. One of the few good math professors that are good at our school. Always willing to help out if you need it after class. His notes are great, so highly recommend going to class. The tests are just like the notes and the few problems he assings.
EXPLAINS VERY WELL, HOWEVER HE COVERS A LOT OF MATERIAL FOR EACH TEST FOR WHICH YOU HAVE TO STUDY. OVERALL, A VERY GOOD MATH PROFESSOR.
great professor if you fail the first time you wont the second time with him. breaks down EVERyTHING. DOn't need graphing calc and just do the recommended assignment and go to his lectures you should pass i did and i hate math and failed it with another professor at fiu.
he extrememly clear and easy to understand. His tests are same as notes, always gives clear directions. Answers all questions and very helpful. Punctuality is stressed and would be best to not miss any classes b/c the subject is hard. but he is the best ( i took it with Muniz before and she is more confusing than he is and she's always screaming)
I am NOT good at math and had a TERRIBLE time with stats in high school so I was very apprehensive about this course. I went to every class, took notes, did the HW religiously and got an A. I never even had to go get help outside of class. This professor is definitely among the better ones in the math dept at FIU. I recommend him.
I don't think enough good things can be said about him. He explains things so well I don't know how you can't understand. After taking him I realize how lacking my stat1 prof. was. If you are smart, willing to listen, and study you should do well. It's not an easy A though, I worked hard for mine. I still HIGHLY RECCOMEND.
AWESOME!I took both stats 1&2 with him and I got A's in both.He explains really good, and he is very organized when he teaches. He is more than willing to help you and his office hours are flexible. You just need to pay attention, exams are not easy but not hard and he always drops the lowest one.BEST STATS PROF. EVER! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!
Took him for Stats 1, big mistake. He writes EVERYTHING on the board, but real tiny. Super boring. Ask a question if you like to feel stupid. Got a D, and didn't learn a thing.
great teacher and i thought it was going to be a hard class and it was easy
This guy is very nice and helpful!! He teaches everything very clearly and will answer any questions you have, highly recommended!! He made me look forward to math...I took this with a FIG class (dont take FIG classes, feels like high school) and they made fun of his accent which would make him mad but thats understandable. He is sweet otherwise.
Took him for stats 1 and he is AMAZING! he does write evrything on the board but it s extremely helpful! he has a hint of sarcasm in his voice but its funny. I would recommend him if you want to pass, all you have to do is go to class and do some of his recommended exercises. I got a B and I am bad at math...he is GREAT!
He is one of the better Stats professor FIU has. He is very meticulous at times anal. However there are no surprises with him, what he teaches on the lectures is basically whats on the test.My advice is devour the text and notes,do the recomended exercises and do really well on the 1st 3 test because the final is designed for you to fail cummulativ
I'm decent at math and I took this professr, did the work, went to office hours, but his tests were too damn hard and tricky. I mean I put effort into the class and decided to stick it out until the end instead of dropping because I knew I could do well especially with the office hours, but no, my effort amounted to an F. Take a different professor
He is deffinately one of FIU's best math teachers. He goes at just the right speed to make sure no one gets left behind. He writes everything he says on the board. His tests are based on what he teaches in class, not the book (which has some unneccessary things anyways)I recommend study his notes,do recommended problems, study vocab and you'll get an A!
Stats god but makes the class easy for everyone. Grade is based on 4 tests and the final can take place of the lowest test score. He selects what he wants to teach from the book and you're only tested on what he explains. Very strict on talking and cell phones going off in class but is still very nice and helpful in office hours. I got an A.
It's not mandatory to go to class, but you should. I never missed one. He has an accent and may be difficult to understand at times, but that's rare. Don't speak when he's teaching and don't help him explain something to someone else, lol. He'll get annoyed. Anyway, he's a great teacher and i got an A in the class.
Probably the easiest math teacher at FIU. He does not require attendance but tests straight from the notes. He does have an accent but writes everything down. He hates when you talk though and does not like cellphones! Other than that I recommend him!
Great professor! Easy class as long as you attend.
He has an accent, but writes every single thing that comes out of his mouth on the board. Attendance isn't required but that's the main thing in order to gain the knowledge you need for the exams.
He has an accent, but its NOT that bad. If you go to FIU, and live in Miami, any Hispanic accent is normal. His exams are from his lectures, hw problems, extra practice problems, and his vocab. He also adds extra bonus questions on the exams. He is always willing to help, especially during office hours. Fantastic professor!
Excellent Professor, made the class crystal clear and reviewed the subject matter until you understand it fully. Class grade consist of 4 exams and an extra credit quiz. Best STA professor at FIU.
He has an accent, and its awesome! I used to jot the down the way he pronounced the words in my notebook to pass the time. He is a really good teacher though, and covers the material very well by repeating everything 20007987 times until its jammed in your brain. If you make an effort you cant fail. tests are toooo easy. I got a B in the class.
I would not recommend him especially if your not good at math.Very picky! He doubles your final if you get a higher grade than any of the 2 prior exams.I had a 93.5 avg going into the final and got a score in the 80's on my final and he wouldn't bump me to an A.Yet if your scores were a 90 & 30 on the first exams & got 90 on the final you got an A
He was so helpful!
I hate math, but I actually enjoyed his class. He is very well organized, and reviews the previous class at the beginning of each new class. He takes his time to answer questions, and all in all is a great professor!
awesome professor. this class couldnt get any easier. just go to class and you barely have to study for test. take him. he gives you extra credit problems which are similar to the ones on the test
Recommended. I only went to class about 10 times and got an A. Tests are easy and he covers everything.
Definitely recommend prof gomez. its such an easy class, no joke he makes it so simple its a breeze. he has a funny spanish accent but you get over it. he's a tad bit repetitive but in math its worth it & you get the material a lot better. 3 test & 3 extra credit opportunities there is no way u can get anything below a B in this class.
Super easy, just has an annoying accent. I am selling the coursepack by Xanedu with the PowerPoint presentations for lectures that he requires, new. Email me [email protected]
Pretty easy if you go to class and do the problems in the book. If you can do the problems in the book, then you are golden. The class is boring and tedious, but he's a good professor. I'd recommend him.
This class is very passable. There is a course pack that has power points explaining EVERYTHING. He also explains everything in class thorougly, though attending class isn't mandatory I strongly recommend it. He does have an accent and his lectures are pretty boring but they help!
Excellent teacher! Go to class. Buy the coursepack. He explains statistics very well.
Professor Gomez is one of, if not, the best teacher I have taken. He displays his notes using powerpoint which keeps everything very organized and easy to understand. He makes the class interactive which also helps to better understand the material. His tests are not any harder than his notes in class. Do not hesitate to take this professor.
He is by far one of the best professors I've had at FIU (most likely one of the best in the math department)and if you go over his notes and practice, it's an easy A. Took him for Summer A and I would definitely recommend him. He is a great professor!!
Easy A, heavy accent
He is one of the sweetest men I have ever met. All my classes closed and he was the only Stats teacher. He spent two weeks trying to get me into his class. I studied five minutes before his exams and I got super high b's and he gives you extra credit at. AWESOME TEACHER! TAKE HIM!
He's is a really sweet man, I'll give him that much. But horrible teaching style. I could not understand a WORD he said the whole semester :( I am horrible at math and I need to a really good professor that explains everything in detail well, and he was not the guy. So if you're not good at math, I don't recommend him. If you are, then go for it.
As mentioned time and time before he has a very heavy accent but you will get use to it over a week or two. He is a very good professor and keeps the class interesting. Take him if you can.
SUPER EASY if you fail its because you dint study
He is wonderful, always trying to improve his teaching skills. Other professors should learn with him. One of the best FIU professors by far!
Classic old school teacher: Don't come in late. Don't use your cellphone. Don't talk in class. Just go to every lecture, sit in, and follow his powerpoints. He's really an amazing teacher and he doesn't assign homework. Everything is explained clearly! He has his power points in a booklet that you can get at the bookstore. I highly recommend him.
Great guy, always interested in the success of the class granted you are putting forth the effort. Study his course pack and surely you will pass
I'm not one to come in here and talk smack about a teacher. I got a B in the class and this class cannot possibly be easier. So you might ask, why did I not get an A? this guy took off points from each of my exams bringing them all down to a B for all the wrong reasons, and I mean questions with correct answers showing work and all! WHAT IS THAT!!!
let me just add to that I'm usually a straight A student, I don't have a clue how this guy gets away with this crap! I wasnt the only one in class he did it to, from other people he would take different number of points off having the same work done, which shows the grading is completely inconsistant! its like he dislikes giving A's where deserved!
Didnt really use the texbook in this class, but you do need the orange book with all his powerpoints. I studied off of that all semester and got an A. Pretty easy class, just study and take notes from the orange book and your good to go.
He is amazing. He's easy to get an A in if you go over all the note that you will use in class. They're already made for you. 4 tests, one extra cred quiz. If anyone hates him or did poorly its because they didn't go to class. Homework is not due but he gives supplementary homework which is almost exactly whats on the test.
Amazing professor that really knows how to teach stats. There are 3 exams and a cuml. final exam. Prof. Gomez does not believe in memorizing formulas, but rather getting the overall concept. If you pay attention to what's in the coursepack and know that to a tee, then you will do well on his exams. He is also willing to help students at any time
He does have a bad temper gets really mad when you arrive to class late and will get mad if you ask stupid questions but he teaches his material really clear and made the class very easy I never used the book and got an A in his class but the coursepack is needed
Prof. Gomez made stats easy to understand Before class he reviews the material that you've been learning He does have an accent, but he speaks slow and repeats what he says He is very helpful and will help u after class His course pack is needed 2 test 1 cumlative final attendance not mandatory but DONT BE LATE I hate math and got a B+
One of the best math teachers I've ever had. He was so clear in his lectures. But missing class will hurt you even though it is not mandatory. Don't need the actual textbook, just the course pack with all his power points in it. Take him!
Here is a fact, if I don't like my professor I don't do well on his class. He suffers from some kind of rage/anxiety disorder, he humiliated me several in class. He is not a bad professor,he is systematic & organized. If you study like crazy, and he likes you, you will do well. NEVER get late or go to the bathroom without asking, you will regret it
Professor Gomez is very strict about no cell phones in class. He respects you as long as you respect him. I also took him for STA 3111. He is very helpful and nice. Exams are easy if you understand the course material. The book is needed for the tables and for stats 2 problems. Course packs and calculator are mandatory! He knows everyones name
Professor Gomez is very strict on having the coursepack and calculator. You need the book for the tables and mostly for stats 2 since it has the additional chapter at the end of the book. He is by far the best stats professor at FIU. Take him. Got nothing less than an A on each test. Just study and ask questions if you don't understand anything
Awesome professor. He explains the subject really well and goes over homework. He uses very good analogies to explain hard concepts/formulas. Old school teaching. One of the few professors who are excellent at what they do.
Take him! First of all, let me start off by saying that I do not like nor am I good at math. I took college algebra (mac 1105) and ended up with a C. I took Stats 1 in the summer and ended up with a B. The last exam replaces lowest test score. Miss class DO NOT leave early. He WILL call you out. He did this to everyone who walks out before time.
GOMEZ is cool. His accent is strong however he is a great teacher and cares a lot about his students! He is very explanatory and will help you with anything. He has his own packet designed for the class so you don't have to take any notes. He is a great teacher and if you have to take stats- take it with him. Very easy to get an A if you try!
This guy is self righteous and irrational, can barely understand a word he says and yells at his students for going to the bathroom during class. He doesn't care about you or your grade and I have no idea why he even got into teaching in the first place. More of a predator than a teacher, with zero margin for error. DO NOT TAKE HIM!
Dr. Gomez is the best Stats professor in FIU. He makes everything very clear for you and gives a lot of examples, similar to those in the exams. His class comprises 4 exams, a Quiz and a final. All of them are very easy if you pay attention and prepare for them. Yes, he can be rude if you get late to his class, he hates it, but still take him!
Professor Gomez breaks statistics for you down Barney Level. There is really no way to not understand how to do the problems and he gives you all the formulas, not force you to memorize them. Also, he is always available to you during office hours or if you need extra times he will help you.
His tests are EXTREMELY easy! The only problem for me was his accent. I'm not really much of a Spanish speaker...
Super easy course! Attendance is not mandatory. The professor explains everything so well that you're going to want to go. Basically if you go to class you won't need to study. NO PHONES ALOWED, and you must ask for permission to use bathroom. Also if you're going to be late don't bother going he'll call you out.
I would recommend you to take this class. Professor Gomez explains very well and help you during his office hours if you have any questions or even if you do not know how to use your calculator. He reviews important information at the beginning of class and tells you one week before the exact day of the test.
The tests are not easy. He teaches really well but when it comes to the exam, you have to study. The exams are not really hard but you must practice. He's kind of a tough grader. 4 exams, one of them being a comprehensive final and 3 group assignments using spss.
He has a strong accent and it's sometimes difficult to understand what he's trying to explain. However he has a customized book that are exactly what he is teaching in class step by step so that helps if you follow along (you don't have to go to class). He really cares about the students understanding the material and is always willing to meet you.
This class is not easy but prof. Gomez explains everything really well, he has a coursepack which you NEED to have, where all the power points of his lectures are. he is also very strict, don't use your phone or talk to other people during class. 4 straight forward tests, he drops the lowest grade. Doesn't take attendance.
His accent is a bit thick, but he's passionate about his subject. He's a wonderful professor who GENUINELY cares about student success. One of the best Professors I've had at this University.
Professsor Gomez was kind of obnoxious, in the sense that he treats his students like high school students; ask permission to use bathroom, humiliates you if he catches you on your phone. But he taught well and slow enough so that you really understood what he was talking about. Overall, a good professor. Would take again.
Ok professor, got a B in the class without trying but i wouldn't take it again... His lectures are long and bored because he focuses in the unimportant facts for too long. Very strict about being late, having your cellphones out and talking during class. Has very little patience when you go to his office hours. Exams are easy if you study.
amazing professor. cares about his students so much and is always willing to help. As for the tests and the class material in general, it is not an easy class but I mean that goes for any statistics class, just study. Attendance is not mandatory but I do suggest you go because he explains very well. Buy the course pack, study, and you'll be fine.
Ramon is one of the best professors I have had so far. I really enjoy his class, and I usually struggle with math. He is strict with phones and will call you out for it. He's always happy and is very approachable. He goes through the material and explains everything well. His tests are really easy and all the information is in the coursepack.
The instructor is very strict when it comes to class; no cell phones, no talking, etc. Everything that is taught in class is in the course pack, so even if you miss a class, you can just read from it. There are 4 exams that as long as you read the coursepack and go to the classes one before it, you are FINE! DONT EVEN BOTHER BUYING THE TEXTBOOK.
He is extremely BORING so keeping up with him in class is quite the task. There are only three exams and a cumulative final. The first two exams are easy, just study the course pack, the third exam, not so much. There is also no online homework or regular homework that needs to be turned in or anything, and the textbook is not mandatory.
Gomez is a really great statistician. He's also a pretty phenomenal teacher; he was very good at explaining concepts to the point where you could probably ace the first two exams on his lectures alone. Kinda boring though, makes it hard to follow along; doesn't really use relevant or interesting examples. Also very strict with cell phone use.
Go to every class, pay attention, and you'll get an A! He's strict with talking in class and using phones but he is such a nice professor, he really cares for his students to get a good grade. Tells you what's gonna be on the exams. No homework. Get the course pack, it's a life saver
Gomez is a good professor. Terrible lecturer though. He is very boring and goes on for hours on irrelevant examples. ALSO BEWARE: HE DOES NOT CURVE AND DOESNT GIVE PLUS AND MINUS. I had an 89.2 and he gave me a B. Not even a B+, and he refused to curve me to the A.
Gomez is actually a good professor. He can be very boring and it can be hard to pay attention in class at times but he's very knowledgeable. The only grades for this class are the exams. There's 3 exams and a final, which replaces one of the lowest exam grades so you should do good in the class. I barely studied for the exams, passing is super easy
Right off the bat you could tell he is passionate and well educated on statistics, he enjoys teaching. His lectures are very thorough, he's always willing to help and is extremely kind. You will probably fail if you don't attend any lectures unless you're very good at math or do homework on your own. Stats lab is the only drawback but its helpful.
He is a great professor and he is very nice. Lab hours are required of you each week. Everything you need is on his website from extra questions, homework questions, and definitions. He really gives you everything you need to pass.
He has an accent like his first language was spanish, but its not too bad. If you go to class you will understand everything and pass the test. it is a stas class so you will have to practice at home or in the math lab but as long as you practice youll pass. i loved ramon, but his classes do get boring. course pack is a must.
