All I can say is that after years of straight A's in English & taking her course over with another teacher getting an A & then taking 102 & getting an A, that Professor Goth has to be hands down the most close minded & unmotivating teachers I have ever had. I would not go near her with rocket boots!

It seems that she doesnt like to help her students. She is somewhat critical to ones opinion and of course on tests, and projects. She is not open minded. If she believes that your opinion or views are not near to her views she will make sure to correct you. She expects one to be at her standards (perfect). Get another instructor, one who will care

Goth was by far the worst teacher I have EVER had. I am an A student and took her class and received a D. I spent hours working on homework for her class and never missed a class. There were 27 students at the beginning of the semester and 3 at the end that should tell you something.She is a bitter person. STAY AWAY!!!

This teacher is horrible. It is amazing that she is actually instructing college students. I consider myself a good writer, and have always received top marks. She is very inconsistent grader and looks to make trouble within a perfectly good paper. She has bogus writing prompts that are irrelevant to anything worth learning. Thanks for nothing!

She is the most harsh cold teacher ever. I used to like engl ish and then she tore apart every paper I wrote and worked my ass off to get a C. PS her final project(10 page plus packet research packet) is ridiculously hard...and its eng 102.

Absolutely one of the WORST teachers I've ever had. I have always excelled in English courses and I have even take a few courses on writing arguments but her class is ridiculous! Her assignments are impossible and she is a witch when it comes to grading!! She expects you to dedicate 24/7 to her class and it's only english 102.. DO NOT TAKE!

She is all over the place and constantly sends out emails correcting an error she made to an assignment or explaining an assignment, a good teacher needs to do neither, she is a bad teacher!

English is usually my best subject, but this teacher made it my worst! It's her way, or no way, and she doesn't even specify. She'll expect you to read her mind, then threaten you with a lower grade if you don't. Also, her grammar and spelling is horrible.

Do not take her class unless it is the only class you plan on taking. I had to withdrawal. Now that assignments can be due online, I had something due almost every night! Also info is all over the place. She is discouraging and came across as rude. I am an adult student(over 30) and I used to love English.

The WORST class. It was horrible. Dont take with other classes there is HW and sometimes multiple HW due every night. To hard for English 101. Shes never available for help and doesnt give you any guideline or teach you anything. all she gives you is facts and tells you have this done in a day. I had to stay up till 3am to finish HW. I took online.

I agree wth every bad statement about this teacher, she is not interested in teaching, and I will never take another class of hers again. When I double checked what she was telling us I found that even she had no idea what she was talking about. I dropped the class as she was also rude, and did not care about my disability.

This class was terrible. She makes you feel like if you didn't do good on 101 then your not going to do well on 102. She is confusing and jumps on different types of topics. Shes hard on grading essays and does a lot of group projects and group assignments thats pointless. Teacher wasn't good at all. Overall had to drop the class. Dont Recommend.

I would not take this class again and would not recommend it to anyone. This teacher is the hardest grader I have ever had. She does not help you in any way. She was the only teacher who had this class online so there was not any other options. If you want to fail when you have put in every bit of effort you have, then take the class.

This is not the class for people who enjoy learning. I'd rate her with all zeros, if I could. Currently think about pursuing legal action against her, the school, and the district. What class ever. ENG101 and 102 are way better classes and you learn the same exact things. Waste of time and money.

I took this class as a hybrid with CRE101. She doesn't help you even if you ask, she just gives ambiguous and non definitive answers. She also marks you down points if you use even somewhat "smart" words in your essays. She will tell you to do something for an assignment, then take off points for doing what she said to do. Doesn't make sense.

She is annoying, does not help and makes you show up to class when there is not class for the day..

I wished I used this website before taking her class. Talks down on you like if you are stupid when you have questions. Tough grader. Always been great at English but she'd make it more complicated than it really was.

I'm currently in this class online. I know with 8 week classes that they are accelerated. However, having 20-30 assignments due EVERY Monday is a little excessive. Teacher doesn't respond to emails when asking for help or need a question clarified, but will send out other emails. Follow guidelines or you fail. No learning whatsoever.

Honestly one of the absolute worst teachers ever, I spent multiple hours reading the garbage stories she selects to get bad grades on all of them, she never replies to emails, never responds to messages. Please avoid this teacher at all costs if you plan on taking enh110, do it with another professor, you will not pass it online with her

If I could Id give her a 0. Worst teacher I ever had and I Hope she gets fired from her job. Never once reached out to help students. Not just me but other peers that I talk too. She is the worst teacher anyone can get. Please do not waste time and money on her class you will not pass. Going to administration with 4 other students to get her out.

If you like to be challenged then you'll like this class. I thought I would be okay in this class but I'm on the verge of failing and apparently my papers don't meet her criteria. I get help and I'm still failing this class. She's a very tough grader.

I don't like her online class, she doesn't teach anything that sticks. She grades strict, expressivly opinionated, and talks down if you missed a small part of the lcutre(which online there is no such thing, she makes you watch youtube videos, what a joke) She is not fit to be a teacher and at the least hold an online course.

Very strict grading, and she does not help what so ever if you are ever confused. She talks down on you if you mess up one small thing. Have not learned one helpful thing at all. Do not take this class.

I do not recommend taking this class. One of the worst classes I've ever taken. Assigns way to much homework and grades it really tough. Not a very approachable professor.

This instructor is so hard.. if you have to take ENH110 pick a different person. Goth will tell you one thing but quiz you on something else. You can message her about it and she will reply but no chance on modifying that grade. She gives a TON of things to review/go over and expects so very much for a condensed class... Not worth it.

I took this as an online class. The quizzes in this class made no sense. Often times, the answers weren't even correct and she was not accessible to help me understand why I got certain questions wrong . Very tough grader and every single quiz I took had answers that were either different from the material or were very subjective.

AVOID RAMONA GOTH'S CLASSES AT ALL COST!!!! Her classes are not difficult, but she is an unfair grader. She is also very rude, she gives very unprofessional and mean comments that should not be made in a professional environment. She also does not understand circumstances and does not give students a chance to turn in late work. AVOID AT ALL COST!!

Accelerated courses should have more work, sure, but I've spent 3-5 hours every. single. day. on this class. Weekends too. I have not been able to participate in other classes, I've had multiple mental breakdowns, and my friends haven't seen me in weeks all because of this English 102 class. I can barely manage to LIVE and do this coursework.

She is so hard to please when it comes to any work you submit. She grades very tough and very opinionated. Oh and good luck having a life outside of this class. Avoid this professor at all costs.

Her expectations are unrealistic and you cant hold her to anything because there is no textbook required for the class. When I started the class 25 students were enrolled, at the end only 4. I will be reporting this data to the school. I felt insulted when I asked her a few questions, her feedback was opinionated not instructional.

Worst professor I have had at SCC. No textbook to follow so she really just does whatever she wants. Puts people down for asking for help and her feedback is horrible. Has no idea how to talk to people and is snarky and rude instead of being helpful.

If I could rate her a zero I would. When I took a class with her, I tried my best to fulfill all the requirements she was asking of me. No matter what I did though, I could never please her to save my life. When I sent her canvas messages or emails, she would give vague responses. When I turned my papers in to her, She would point out flaws I had.

Not a professional and not someone who should be teaching. Being tenured does not give you permission to treat students terribly.

Do the extra credit. Her feedback can be helpful, but the honest reason I'm not fond of her is that I receive some oddly rude feedback sometimes. I try not to take it that personally, but her comments make me feel stupid. I'm only halfway through an online 8-week course, not satisfied, and wish my money was spent on a different prof.

LISTEN TO THE OTHER REVIEWS!! I AGREE WITH EVERYTHING THEY SAY!! 1. She requires you to complete a VAST amount of homework each week. (Think 12 assignments due on one day and no time to work ahead) 2. Her instructions and content are incomprehensible most times and riddled with grammar mistakes. 3. She is unrealistic and merciless with grading.

Worst professor I've ever had so far. I have no shot on getting good scores on quizzes because she always puts incorrect things as the "correct" answers. As someone taking this class as a summer credit, it feels insane to me that after having 3 years at a public university that I would be struggling with an entry level lit class. Insane.

Docks 10% off assignments submitted within 24 hours before the due date. Coursework is mediocre without any logical rhythm to it. Grading rubric is arbitrary and incomprehensible for students.

Listen to other reviews. No textbook to follow and she grades fully on personal opinion. Will take off 10% for not passing in assignments 24 hours before due date. She is not a “tough grader”, she is draconian, and oftentimes demonstrably wrong in her supposed knowledge of English and grammar as a whole. Not an educator.

This is truly the worst experience I have ever had in my academic career. Truly disappointing that being tenured keeps you protected-especially when you have no business teaching. Grades on opinion, incorrect answers as correct on quizzes, and seems to just want to fail people? Very bizarre feedback. The worst kind of “educator” out there.
