Well his class is an internet class and 40% of your grade comes from your reflections on movies like Little Buddah, Gandhi, etc. You won't have class every meet and your homework is to watch movies and read the chapter.

This was an online course so I've never met the guy. He did, however, make the material and assignments very clear.

Didn't really learn anything. HW was easy enough just read & comment. Make sure u have a paper topic early on. He was 2 weeks late on giving us the next assignment but then he did give us till after finals to complete it. Not the best class but he isn't a hard grader.

This guy is really easy, attend the class he'll dock you for not showing up. But we only met Mon and Wed so that's not too hard. 2 tests, 5 page paper. You get to retake the midterm for an easy A. He likes to incorporate life into religion so he talks about a broad spectrum of ideas. Very smart, easy going, fun, and best teacher this semester.

Don't buy the book! This class is pretty easy. He gives you all the questions for the tests ahead of time, so you have to study, but at least you know exactly what your studying, and you don't need the book to do it because it is online. You only meet 2 days a week even though you get credit for 3 units. His lectures are actually interesting.

Even tho he expects u to show up to class.you can study for the midterm and final not using his lectures. Very available to the student if you need help just ask and talk to him. To study for midterm he gives u every question and ansr online on interactive practice tests EASY! sometimes lectures for the whole period but after midterm only videos

Didnt learn a thing from this class but it was an easy A. Two tests which he gives you questions and answers to. Some online bullitens you must do and a research paper that is a breeze. I think he lectured two times the whole semseter. Good class for first year students.

Class is easy. It takes work and discipline, but if you do all the work you will get an "A". Exams are timed but he gives you a study guide with the exam questions. All you need to do is study them, answer the questions and that's your exam. Take the course if you need this to satisfy a G.E requirment.

A very straight forward class. Online participation, exams, and a paper. Easy to get an A. A great online class to take and I am sure he is very interesting in person.

Professor Cummings is AWESOME! I had two online classes with him, if you participate in the discussions and finish all the work you will get an A. Even though I had him online, I still took time to go and personally meet him (I'm a Religious Studies Major) The coolest guy ever!!! Class is not hard at all but he makes you think and learn a lot!

The online class was straightforward. Participation is a must and you will get a good grade. Read the books and the exams will be very easy. Overall the class is a breeze but just keep up with the online posts.

I never met him but I took his online class, I definitely recommend taking it. The weekly assignments were lots of fun, I honestly didn't even feel as if they were assignments. The test aren't really hard as long as you do the homework.

Professor Cummings is very laid-back and helpful. RS 310 (OL) is very interesting and you will learn a lot while having fun in the process. He works with you and extends the deadline to help his students. I highly recommend him if you need a GE class or you are a RS major.

He is Awsome!! very Intelectual man! Used 4 books. Lotus sutra, Buddhism plain & Simple, Buddha's Brain, and one more but I forgot the name of it. There are Forums on Moodle. Interesting movies in class. 5pg paper. easy! interesting! and Fun! =)

This class was absolutely easy. He just wants you to post weekly, but it is at your own pace. I did pretty much 75% of the class posts, (including final) in the final two days. If you're looking for an easy A, this is it.

This class is ridiculously easy. Grades are based on moodle posts, research paper, midterm and final. Attendence is mandatory but he will let you out early or spend all of class showing a video. The research paper is really short and you can write about anything. Final is "what did you learn". He gives you the answers to the midterm word for word.

This class was easy, but not a waste of time. If you want to actually learn something about world religions, all of the resources and assignments are very helpful and informative. The textbook was easy to read. The supplemental MyReligionLab is necessary if you want to do well on the exams. Class is-1 research paper, 2 tests, and online activities.

Dont bother buying the book just purchase the myreligionlab. This class is super easy. Just do the work & attend class cuz he gives students a chance to boost up their grade if necessary. 1 research paper, 1midterm, final, & 10 moodle post. Easiest class ever! Cummings is great! Super personable, and seems to really know his stuff! I really enjoyed the class, there are a lot of videos, and the assignments were pretty cool (watch movies). Book isn't really necessary because it is on the myreligionlab which is required for tests. Lectures were more informative and interesting than test material. Take him!

Professor Cummings made this class a joy to take online. Every assignment is straight-forward and he responds to e-mails very quickly to ensure that all students understand the assignments and material. I learned a lot in this class and it satisfies a GE! Now, that's rare. Great professor!

No idea where to start from. Super funny guy, and helpful of course. His class is super easy. Online posts, midterm, final, and research paper. Just do not get the book because you won't use it. Attend class as he take 3 points on each absence. Got an A and ai even haven't done that much. Best ever! TAKE HIM AND YOU WON'T REGRET.

I took this class accidentally and last-minute because my first class had gotten cancelled, so I was left with this to fill my gap. He's a great teacher and knows his stuff for sure! Easy class, lectures are a bit boring(movies 90% of the time), and his final was 2 questions. If you are looking for an easy class, take.

In this class participation is almost half your grade which includes attendance and completion of moodle assignments in a "timely fashion". If you're thinking about when you need to post something you should have done it a week ago. If you don't know if you should be reading a textbook read it anyway. Expect to be responsible for teaching yourself.

Definitely one of the best professors here. He knows what he is talking about, he's funny. Weekly assignments, midterm and a final. Attendance is mandatory though, he will grade you down if you don't show up. But he gives a lot of extra credit and really helps you out if you talk to him. The textbooks are super cheap. Great professor.

This was the best online class I have ever taken. The work wasn't too hard, you just have to comment on lectures, and comment on films you watch that have which ever religion you are studying. Midterm and final is really easy only tests. He give you practice finals which are the same as the tests. Also if you contact him he is very helpful.

Easiest A I have ever gotten. Weekly posts about the religion you're learning about are required on Moodle. Most classes are literally just watching a film or short lectures. You do need to show up, he takes attendance. So much extra credit is offered. The midterm and final are online - take the practice quizzes, they're identical to the real test.

even though I did not physically sit in this class, it was a little challenging and with all of the reading but it was very insightful. I would definitely take this professor again. he offers extra credit opportunities and responds in a timely manner.

Professor Cummings is a great teacher. He's extremely knowledgable in the field and makes this class very interactive and fun. He also makes the tests easy to study for and ace once you take them. I really enjoyed learning about the world religions and would recommend taking him for all his classes!

This class isn't "difficult". But does require work, and there is no structure. While he labels the posts weekly, there are no due dates. He has no interaction with the class at all, you don't even get an email sent reminding you when the midterm/final is. You're required to check. Overall, you can easily get an A if you do the work.

Prof. Cummings is super chill! The class has 1 online midterm w/ a multiple choice part (he gives you the answers) & a written part, a research paper and an online multiple choice final (he gives you the answers). He also does a TON of Canvas discussions, so get ready for that. In class we literally just watched movies & left early. Great & easy GE

Only the beginning 5 or 6 weeks of the semester pertain to watching films and writing about it as well with the questions he asks. The rest of the semester is a breeze to catch up on any missing assignments if hadnt done during those beginning weeks. The midterm and final exam were super easy and the research paper is interesting!

Great class, we watched movies and then discussed the religious significance in them, made me see certain movies in a different light. Easy class. Grade is based on attendance, discussions on the books, a paper, and the final. He isn't too clear on the paper, but you have a wide range of things to choose it on.

There were like 4 or 5 different "required" texts for this course, and I didn't read more than a few pages for a single one of them. One discussion board per week, and each one is incredibly easy. One multiple choice midterm, and almost all of the answers can be found on Quizlet. Final paper, but he grades so easily. Only downside is: late grader!
