I never payed any attention in class. I just copied the notes and never opened the book. I was still able to manange a great grade. Drink a lot of coffee. Acutally, drink tons of coffee to stay awake. You will fall asleep.

Lots and lots of writing, remember to copy them down before all the stuff he wrote on the board is on the exam. You dont really need the textbook, just all the note during lecture. Remember to come early and copy all the note. Overall Excellence Prof.

he is one of the best proffessor ,you dont need to read the book ,he will gave you all the notes,i hope he is a good grader too.

Give him a break, it's economics! NOT an interesting course. He does the best anyone can hope for. Constantly making jokes to try to keep you interested. Ask and answer questions in class and you should be alright. Copy all the notes, Inever bought a textbook but passed with a B+. Very helpful, you have a question, he'll answer it a every time.

He's very into what he teaches. Tests are overall long but fair. Just listen carefully rather than take notes on everything he writes (writes quite a lot).

This Professor is awesome. Actually look forward to going to his class. Funny, Knows his material, takes time to explain and overall amiable.

Took this class in the summer. Wrote ALOT of notes! 3 take home HW and 1 Midterm & Final. Professor is EXTREMELY helpful and funny! He will tell you what will be on the midterm/final and most of the HW examples will be there too. His multiple choice ques. are tricky, so READ carefully! Got an A in his class!

HE IS VERY FUUNY. WRITE LOTS OF NOTES. HIS TESTS ARE VERY VERY VERY EASY. NEVER USE TEXTBOKKS AND VERY RARELY GIVE HW. VERY VERY NICE PROFFESOR!!!!!!!!!!!!!

hard class although he is very funny keeps you awake but tests are extremely hard. he gives review sheets and goes over it but the tests are very tricky. attendence required. gives few h.w. to prepare for exams. exams make up 95 percent of the grade.good luck

hes a amazing professor will go out of his way to help you. his tests are kind of hard but if you fail both tests and you pass the final with an A your grade is an A. hes so sweet makes you laugh in class and is a cool guy. do his homeworks and your good oh and sign the attendance sheet. DONT BUY THE TEXT BOOK USELESS. everything is on blackboard

This guy is very helpful; he will explain untill everyone understands, but the macroecon. is very hard itself. His tests are tricky so don't memorize the terms-useless; need to really think with his questions, but he is very funny and nice.

One of the best Prof at City tech. Took him in the summer and enjoyed his class so much I didn't even want to leave for a bathroom break. He's so funny it's almost impossible not to laugh. 3 HWs and 1 Mid-term and Final. I would advise taking him in the summer. It's not that bad. 2 and a half hours 4 days a week. You'll love his class.

He's a great economics Professor. His knowledge of the topic is profound. I would advise you really study for this one. He gives 3 homeworks in all, which equate for 20%, a midterm which is 40% as well as his final which is 40%, make sure you do the homework as they're the closest thing you have to a review sheet for both exams.

STUDY STUDY STUDY! I highly recommend him..NOT AN EASY A...lazy people beware!! Memorization is all but a small part, you should actually know concepts...do all homeworks as they are 20% of your grade He is sooo funny!!

Pof. Hannum is one of the best professors in CityTech.. an thats hands down.. i just took him this semester for Macroeconomics spring 2011. just review his hw before exams and you'll be fine!! anything u see in the hw it will be in the exam. he helps anyone anytime during office hrs or after class lecture.all i can say is TAKE HIM!!!

1st day of school and I see that the previous GOOD comments are true. It's more than fair. &&& YES he looks like Ned Flanders. He is friendly too! You got only yourself to blame if you don't get an A.

The funniest professor ever!!, very helpful..with that being said I took him in the summer and had to study my tail off..lectures are straight forward yet test are hard as heck...you have to really study notes and think outside the box if you want an A. Take class but don't expect and easy grade.

I took his Macroeconomics class in 2010, I bet he is the funniest professor in CityTech. Whoever takes his class will be happy or become happier. However, he teaches a lot and the exam is not easy. you have to give a seriously attitude on this class. If you want to learn a lot, challenge yourself, take this class. Otherwise, don't try.

Best professor ever. He makes economics interesting and he is available whenever you need help. Although you do have to study hard for his test because you have to know all the terminology. He has a great sense of humor.

Okay,Yes he's funny&interesting but he grades HARD.Macroeconomics is HARD because there is so much to learn,memorize &incorporate together.I studied & I got a D.His class ruined my GPA some more,I doubt anyone got an A. His class is interesting but it definitely should not be taking during the summer/by people with low GPA's!Bewared cause I wasn't!

This Prof. is one of the best at City Tech but there is one thing. If you don't like to study long notes than this isn't good for you. But why should you take economics if you don't like to study? I got a B and i was happy with they way he taught and the grading system.

He's the funniest prof I've ever had! He is helpful when you ask him questions. His tests are hard, and its totally different from the homework & exam prep that he gives. However you should study the material well if you want a good grade!

This professor knows what hes doing, he made this boring class so much more fun. He made sure that if you have questions he will make sure they are answered. Very funny teach I liked him a lot I saw the comments posted about him before I took his class I decided to try to get an A since people said he is hard. Well he is very hard but if u work hard study and do all your work you can get an A I got an A in his class just pay attention and study. Hes a n awesome teacher though.

Best professor ever. He has a great sense of humor. He makes economics interesting and he is available whenever you need help. Although you do have to study hard for test and he only give 3 exam and review. Study the quiz he has on blackboard and other question from book he posted on backboard they will help you.

Class is challenging, must pay attention in order to pass quizzes. He explains everything and is very helpful. Although, he makes smart comments a lot and tries to have a sense of humor and sometimes it's not funny.

Professor Hannum is one of the professors who makes you feel welcome into the class. you can ask him any question at any time without hesitation and he will be more than happy to assist you.

There is no good and evil. There is only Hannum, and those too weak to seek it. Invest yourself in this course and be traumatized by knowledge. From breaking down the complex science of the regenerative properties of babies limbs to explaining strategies for winning the lottery involving strategically getting hit by lightning, Hannum does it all.

Although he splits a whole semester in to three tests, he gives a review sheet for every test and is willing to help in any of his free time. He is very detail orientated and grades tough. It won't be an easy A!! He is a very good professor and a good person overall.

He's a great teacher. I learned a lot from him and he has his own variety of ways of teaching things. He's very sarcastic and likes to make jokes to keep students entertain during the lecture. His notes are clear and great for reviewing for a test. His tests are not hard if you do the hw and pay attention in class. I was glad i took his class !

He is a very knowledgeable professor, he will explain thoroughly if you do not understand the issues or terms. He provides all his notes and homework reviews online, so i recommend you print it out before going to class. He torments his student with his tough exams that consist of short written answer to explain your reasons andformula questions.

I really enjoyed having him as a professor, I took him for Macroeconomics. Honestly, the material itself was very challenging but he keeps you involved with a really lively personality and is always willing to explain anything again. He also adds all of his lectures to Blackboard, so you can use them to study. 2 tests and a final. 3 homeworks.

Teacher rocks. Makes economics not only an understandable ordeal, he makes it fun. He also is full of optimism + possesses an otherworldly ability to transfer knowledge completely to someone else. You just have to do your part too. Tells you exactly what you need to know. As he goes over crucial material he expresses its importance. Take him.

This professor is funny but his test are hard

hes a good teacher but you have to go over the material because its a lot for a once a week class, there are only two test, midterm and finally, if you don't pass the midterm and pass the final he will take your final grade and use it as ur overall. no breaks, but he keeps you entertained and connects a lot of the material to real life situations.

Great professor who likes to joke around during class. It's a good contrast because his class involves A LOT of note taking, but he clearly explains the material, multiple times if needed. Only gave 4 HW assignments and 3 exams for the semester. Exams are HARD, you need to study and pay attention to pass, but the HWs assigned is basically a review.

this professor truly love what he teaches, he know how to break down the topics an give real world examples. HOWEVER his tests are out of this world hard! you will need to photographically memorize every thing in the note that he gives you. his test questions are extremely vague, which leave you guessing what it is u need to answer. B- final grade

Amazing lectures from an amazing professor. Nothing but praise. He uses real world examples, makes the class more interesting. Takes the time to fully answer any questions you may have. The tests are exactly what you learn in class. Just pay attention, not much work. Very nice and understandable person.

The type of profesor who keeps the students' attention and shows enthusiasm for his work, teaches a lot and is funny. Not the monotonous read-from-the-powerpoint type

He reallycares about the future of his students. He literally said so about two weeks into the semester and it shows. Tells jokes and cares that you learn the material (real life examples that make more sense than the book). 3 tests; not hard if you study the notes that are all uploaded on blackboard on the 1st day, test almost identical to review.

I truly loved this professor. He was always making jokes in class, he made sure all his notes were on blackboard and he always met with me to go over everything before his 3 exams (yes there are only three so you MUST pass all.) His exams are hard, but his review is pretty much his exact exam. Please go to him if you need help, thats how I passed

A really nice and understanding professor. He gives plenty of time for assignments with a clear criteria. Her exams are very easy. He also gives great advice. He is very knowledgeable and a skilled teacher. He keeps class entertaining and informative at the same time. He is very caring. He is one of the best professors I have ever had.

He's actually a pretty good professor. His jokes are EXTREMELY cringe-worthy, but funny nonetheless. When grading homework, he makes sure to fill up your paper with lots of little notes of improvement. Also, he's the only professor I know of that actually gives his personal number, which is cool, but I THINK that's illegal?

Took him for Macroeconomics 1101 during as a winter class. I received an A, pretty much study lecture notes thoroughly and do the homework, because these are pretty much the exams. Also he gives hints about what will be an exam question.

He gives the best lectures mixing it into real world terms, makes it easy to understand I learned alot just from his lectures but exams are tough If your not a economics major you will have some trouble, you gotta read all the notes he gives take him during winter or summer take him if your doing 12> credits Hes really funny but cringy sometimes

He's a very fair professor and knows what he's doing. However, his tests are rather on the difficult side. He wants very specific answers and that's the hardest part, especially since they're 80% short answer. Jokes aren't as bad as people make it seem, but definitely fair and on the difficult side.

Prof Hannum really brings the material to a relatable level. This is the 2nd time I took Macro & I could not believe how easy it was to grasp the material this time around. He throws in a lot of jokes but makes sure that his lectures are easy to digest. He even gives study guides to prepare for tests. TAKE HIS CLASS!

Enjoyed his summer class

He's a very funny and kind professor. He has his own way of keeping the class engaged by encouraging participation. He gives homework assignments and allows multiple attempts for it so you are sure to get a good grade if you study. His exams are specific so take what you learned and be specific as possible when answering the questions. Have fun!!!!

He is really nice and funny guy. His class didn't make me bored. The class is really interesting because his voice is really sweet. I have a crush on his voice. Also his teaching materials are also good. I take his winter class so it's kind of hard but ok for me. Exams are little bit tricky so make sure you have pay attention on his class.

A GREAT PROFESSOR. He truly cares about everyone and wants everyone to learn. The exams are hard, but you have so many opportunities to go to him for extra help if needed. Very funny and engaging, just pay attention and study and you will do good. Not an easy class but he really helps a lot.

Prof. Hannum was super kind and funny. His lectures can get a little boring and a lot of information is thrown at you all at once. However, he did his best to make his lectures fun. It was hard to understand everything the first time but, he posted external resources if you needed help studying which was helpful. Prepare to study on your own!

The professor writes lots of notes on the board, which helps reinforce the material. Using Unstuckstudy and the required textbook makes this class manageable despite its difficulty.

Proffesor Randall Hannum is the best professor in city tech!!! Hes lectures are amazing i hade a amazing time, he really cares about his students. Dont listen to this bad comments its all students fault he offers help on every assignment, before a test we always review and its almost same as the test. Very nice man and is always there to help!!
