This class was very enjoyable and informative, but i thought that it was very hard. His tests were hard, but he is extremely entertaining and funny. Take good notes on his lectures though.

He is a very good teacher and helps you understand what is going on in class. You do need to go to class. There are quizes every thursday.

Definatly one of the best teachers ive had. Only two tests during the semester, but has an easy weekly quiz. Makes Psychology fun and interesting. Definatly a must take.

LOVED HIM SO MUCH!!! He kinda looks like ned flanders, but he is easily one of the best professors teaching today. He uses powerpoint to make everything clear and all his instructions are clear. Midterms and Final were easy to prepare for and very fair. Take him if you have the chance, he is incredible.

very good teacher, hilarious, looks kind of like a nerd, but makes fun of himself about it. I thought his tests were really hard, but my group members didn't. He makes you apply your knowledge instead of just know terms. Very good teacher

He is amazing! Wonderfully funny and an excellent teacher. I have taken him for two classes and loved both of them! He has a Hitler mustache and wears goofy ties but he makes learning easy and fun. Just take him already!!!

Best prof. Ive had @ texas state. Fair grading system. Makes material interesting. Gives reviews for tests that will prepare you well . don't even bother buying the text, just go to class and you will do good on tests. would recommend for any class

He is a good teacher, and his grades are fair. He gives extra credit for attending class, and you do not need the textbook at all, just study the notes, which he posts online and you'll do fine.

This class was absolutely amazing, by far one of the best professors on campus. Go to class though, it helps for the test and quizzes because all of his questions come from the powerpoints and lecture.

Easy going, no text required just show up to class and listen.

Randall was a very cool professor. We never used the text and his quizzes and exam questions came straight from the lecture material. he made class very fun and made a potentially "ehhh" subject for me into a joy.

His tests are difficult (e.g. "Which of the following BEST describes...."), but the tests aren't heavily weighed. Lectures are interesting and often humorous. He has weekly "concept checks" (quizzes) which are worth the same as both tests combined, so it's important to go to class and review your notes often. Text recommended but not required.

Amazing professor. Extremely intelligent and knows his stuff, obviously. You can learn SO much from this guy. Tests are straightforward and concept checks each week help keep your grades up. This guy is hilarious too and keeps class interesting. I took this class at night and was engaged the whole time. Love him!!

Great intelligent instructor. Weekly Concept Checks are very tricky...he likes to put multiple answers in them that are almost correct except one word. Attend every class and you will do fine. I would have easily made an A if I had better attendance. One of the finer instructors I have had.

Really pationate about abnormal psych! he is clear and precise when giving lecture and adds to his slides extra info. IT PAYS TO GO TO CLASS. He writes the tests based on what we go over in class. He has a test review that ALSO PAYS to do. He has a real good attitude and keeps you interested! hes really funny too! :-)

I just took his summer course and he gives many hints on what's going to be on concept checks. I was worried cause it's an 8am class, but he kept things interesting and fun so I stayed awake. I'm about to graduate, but I would have loved to take more classes with him.

His knowledge is great and he cares and make time for you anytime that you stop to talk to him. His TA Susan is also very helpful and made the class very fun to attend.

Awesome professor! I love his class! It is really easy to make an A in his class. All you need to do is the weekly mastery checks and do his review for the final and you will do great!

He made the summer session go by so fast. He is very funny and makes sports psy interesting. He is very helpful if there is something that you dont understand. I would def recommend that you take him for sports psy. Plus he makes his class pretty easy :)

Take this guy. He doesn't require attendance but he does concept checks a couple times a week... which are very easy if you attend class regularly. The exams are easy and he gives you practice exams which have a lot of the same questions as the exams. Fun teacher and likes to joke around a lot. Highly recommend if you want an easy A.

Currently enrolled in forensic psych online. Love this class, love the prof. He's helpful, reasonable, and responds quickly to emails. Any and all material is relevant to the course, to life and to the test! High recommend this class, this professor

Amazing professor! If you are a psych major, you must take him! If you attend his lectures and take notes, you are sure to pull an A, if not a high B. He is very clear and concise about the material and offers any help you need. His tests are more than fair and he hands out a review so you know what to expect on test day. It's also a very fun class

Omg Randall is absolutely the best professor I have ever taken! He is very through with the concepts and provides numerous real life examples for every concept. He is hilarious and truly wants you to succeed! There are weekly online quizzes but if you attend class he gives you hints to the answers. Attendance is not mandatory but you wanna go!

AMAZING PROFESSOR!! Everyone should take at least one of his classes. If you are a psych major he helps you remember why you choose psych in the first place. His passion for psych is contagious. Great Professor! :) Class was always intersting and Randall was clear, fair, and percise. Had quizzes every week that were kinda difficult but he always made sure to remind you to take them and what material was going to be on them. He is what all professors should be like!

Professor Osborne is incredible! I had him for Forensic Psychology and it was so engaging. Attendance is not mandatory and all information is in your customized textbook. There are only two exams which are relatively easy due to the online quizzes each week that help refresh memory. He's hilarious, super engaging, and makes you want to learn! :)

Randall is an amazing professor! His class was engaging and the customized textbook is the most helpful textbook I have every purchased. While he is lecturing he gives examples to actually help you learn the material and not just memorize it. He does assign weekly quizzes but they are geared towards refreshing your mind for the test.

Dr. O is truly amazing! His lectures are incredibly interesting and he's hilarious. Book is awesome! He's fair, clear, inspirational, passionate, responsive, & exam grades are posted the same day. Extra points for attendance. Gives quiz hints during lectures. I'll miss his class, wish I had him for more. Take him, you won't regret it! The best!

Professor Osborne was one of the most amazing professors at Texas State. I took him for Fall 2015 for Forensic Psychology. His lectures are by far the most interesting I ever had! From what I remember he had the class purchase his book that he wrote and published, which I applaud. If you read that book and do the Mastery Quizzes you should be fine!

Attendance isn't mandatory, but you need to go to class for his explanations, otherwise you just have PowerPoints to study. His book was literally the PowerPoints with a little bit of extra info. Great professor and knowledgable and funny too.

Dr. O is an amazing professors who genuinely cares about his students. His power point slides are very helpful and also posted on TRACS. He gives out simple at-home quizzes every week which really help with your grade. He is very flexible with office hours and will help you with anything you need.

Dr. O, is one of the most caring professors out there. His class consisted of weekly quizzes, 2 exams, and 1 final. He would remind us about our weekly quiz every single time and hinted what would be on there during class. Attendance is not mandatory but you do get bonus points for being there. He is awesome, definitely not a dry lecture!!

He was the first professor I took as a transfer student at Texas State and I LOVED him. I took him for both Forensic and Sport Psych. He rewards students that work hard and show up for class. He's funny and down to earth. My second class with him, he was very understanding of some of my missed classes and was easy to talk to. I loved him!

Dr. O is an amazing teacher! He explains things well and is always there for his students. His lessons/discussions are very informative and meaningful. Psych of Prejudice & Hate (PSY 3337) is VERY discussion heavy. ALL assignments are done via forums. They're easy for the most part, just take some time to read and thoughtfully answer prompts. 10/10

He's super funny and will accommodate to your needs. I loved him as a professor. Only problem is that he lectures in plain English but his tests are in legal and textbook jargon and it can be pretty confusing. Try not to skip class but if you have to, no big, powerpoints are online. other than that he's a super fair grader and he's hilarious.

Dr. Osborne is such a great professor. Go to class, read the textbook, do the quizes and you will pass. He tries to make lectures interesting for the 8am's but at times it is difficult. He is funny, and very sweet would recommend.

Honestly my favorite professor at TXST, you can tell that Dr. Osborne is extremely passionate about his profession and it shows in his lectures. Stinks that the rest of the semester had to be done online bc I really enjoyed his class. Easy to get a good grade, just take notes and do the reviews, youll finish with a good grade.

This is my second time taking Dr. Osborne, he is the best professor. He gives 7 extra credit points for attending class and has a quiz every week but drops the lowest 2. He is very caring and enthusiastic during his lectures. Highly recommend taking his courses.

Explained the topics very thoroughly. Stayed interactive with us- sending us updated emails, encouraging us to reach out if we are unsure of information. Had essay exams but gave us an abundance of resources to supplement our info. Helpful feedback after submitting. Truly cares about the class and students. Also wears a fun tie each lecture :)

Dr. Osborne is one of the best Professors at Texas State. I took his Sports Psychology class now I have him for history and theory. He provides his own written lecture textbook that you buy from the book store so you dont have to take notes. If you go to class and follow the book its an easy A.

Dr. O is awesome. I really enjoyed his class and his grade distribution. 12 weekly quizzes (only counts 10) and 3 tests. Go to class and he will give you hints for the weekly quizzes. You will not regret taking him!

I took Dr O's Forensic Psych class a couple semesters ago and I loved it! He was amazing, his lectures were very fun and he cared about his students. I would definitely take one of his classes again! Plus he wore a different tie to class every class and it was really great seeing them. I looked forward to seeing which fun tie he wore next!

Dr.O lectures are very interesting and easy to follow. His first two test are essay exams, which are also easy if you follow his guidelines. Dr.O review for the last exam is very helpful. I was scared, I would fail because of the written exams but ended up with an A+.

You can easily tell he's passionate. His exams are essays, except for the final which is multiple choice, but they are very easy if you listen to his lectures and take notes. He makes the lectures themselves very enjoyable and easy to follow. Does have discussion posts every week but is very helpful. Amazing professor, you'll love him!

I love Dr. Osborne! He is so funny and genuinely makes his lectures interesting. In doing so, you really don't have to study as hard for the exams, since he presents the material in a way that really sticks. The quizzes are pretty straight forward from the powerpoints and the study guides he provides are extremely useful.

Awesome professor. Attendance isn't mandatory but he does shares stuff during the class that is not online that benefits you greatly on the quizzes and test. He does a quiz every friday leading up to your test, but it helps alot with retention of the knowledge learned.

Dr. Osborne is one of the best professors I've had. He is very passionate about the material he teaches, which helps when studying because the way he teaches helps material stick. The course itself wasn't too difficult and he releases study guides that are very helpful before an exam. I highly recommend taking any course he teaches!

I would give Dr. O 10 stars if I could. He is by far the best professor I've ever had. He is very understanding of students' situations, and makes it clear that he cares about them more than their grades. His lectures are very fun and easy to follow, and he does review days before each quiz. He's a very warm, pleasant man as a whole.

One of the best professors ever. You can tell he truly cares about his students and makes sure that he relays information in a way we can understand. He is truly one of a kind, take him if you can. Get the textbook and study well for exams.

Dr. Osborne is my favorite in the school of psychology so far. He makes lectures interesting and memorable (which is helpful for the tests). He has weekly quizzes that help you study the test material. He has three tests that help you chunk the material so that when you take the comprehensive examine you do well. He is caring/helpful. Take him.

10/10, 5 stars. Dr. Osborne is a gem. Attendance is necessary on Fridays to complete in-class essays. Exams broken up by take-home essays along with an in person multiple choice test. One of the coolest professors you'll take at TXST.

Dr. Osborne is super awesome! He is so personable and has such genuine passion for the subjects he teaches. Three exams, first two were 80% essay 20% test, last one was all test. In class participation on Fridays w/ multiple chances to make up points. Required his own textbook, was helpful for essays. Super helpful and wants his students to suceed.

Dr. Osborne was one of the best professors I've had, he is so funny and incredibly understanding. There were only 2 exams with 2 essays and a final exam, we also had weekly writing assignments on Fridays which weren't difficult at all. Although there is no official exam review he does a great job going over the material before the exam. He's great!

Dr. Osborne made his lectures so interesting and funny. He truly appreciates when students show up to class so I was sure to make it each time because I knew we'd be learning interesting things. Good professor overall; grade is based on 5 discussion posts and then 4 quizzes, which can be difficult, but the textbook helps SO MUCH! Definitely use it :) I got a B due to not doing well on my first quiz because I didn't use the book, so definitely use the book!

My favorite professor ever. Required "textbook" that is just the powerpoints on paper so you can focus on what he's saying instead of scrambling to write notes down. Five random writings but provides seven opportunites, curves exams as well if no ones gets a 100! Reviews for exams the class before, ties lecture into real world scenarios. Take him!

Take this class if you need an elective. Not only are his lectures so interesting, his exams are pretty easy if you study the reviews. We do have random writings that boost your grade up, but if you attend all his lectures you'll be fine. On top of that he is very understanding, and if you need help he is there.

3 Exams and 2 Essays. Literally an easy class if you try on the essays and study for the exams. His lectures are never boring as he ties them to real life scenarios. I really learned a lot from Dr. Osborne lectures. Def recommend.

Dr. Osborne is by far my favorite Psych professor I've had. He is caring and is actually passionate about what he teaches, which is hard to find. His History & Theory course was easy to get an A in if you go to class, take good notes from lectures and listen to feedback on writing assignments. Overall, I learned a lot in this class and love Dr. O!

1 weekly in-class writing, but attendance not mandatory otherwise. Worth showing up for lectures (great pacing & full of humor). I SUCK at history, but this class is different. Extremely kind, passionate professor. Wears fun ties. You can tell he really cares about his students and what he teaches. Good dude to be in the psychology field as well.
