Professor Deo is an amazingly knowledgable teacher. I love getting leads of their respective departments and he really shows that he deserves to be where he is. I did have a little trouble understanding some of the concepts, however, that could be fixed with additional reading. I am taking CHM115 with him in the fall. He's the best choice for prof.

This may just be because it was a split modality, but Professor Deo was terrible. He expected us to know material that he didn't teach and taught one day a week. He is very smart and so sometimes doesn't accommodate confused people. He moves through the content super fast so you have to put in a lot of time outside of class to keep up and understand. Great teacher and enjoyed his lectures. Sit in the front and don't miss any classes. Be involved and you will do good. Lots of office hours if you need help.

Professor Deo's CHEM115 class is challenging but rewarding. His lectures can be tricky to follow at first, but the guided notes and practice problems are invaluable. Unstuckstudy was a lifesaver for exam prep. Attend every class, do the work, and you'll learn a lot.

His notes are fill-in-the-blank (super easy to grasp) and IAs are amazing. The class itself sucks, but find a good study group and you'll pass. fill-in-the-blank

Professor Deo was a really good professor. He was funny and walked through each topic where he definitely knew what he was talking about. He walks through practice problems if they arise and gives students time to do certain problems on their own time to learn the material. Overall a 10/10 and am looking forward to taking him for CHM-115.

DO NOT TAKE HIM!!! He is a great guy, but the quizzes are really hard, and you get no prep from them, his lectures are really hard because his English is NOT very good, so because chem is already hard as is and his English makes it hard to understand this class was very useless for me. the student helpers are amazing tho!!

Deo is probably the best chemistry professor. The class is difficult, but Deo does as much as he can to help make the content easier. Guided notes, extra worksheets, etc. He's a nice guy and is available for extra help if you need it. This is not a class you will skate by in, you have to put in the work to get a good grade.

Dr. Deo is the best general chemistry teacher, in my opinion at this school. After having him for Chem I and Chem II, I can say that with his fill-in-the-blank lecture notes, the practice quizzes he gives, and supplemental information, he gears everyone up for success in the courses he teaches! Take this professor, you will not regret a single bit!

Out of all the gen chem professors at GCU, Deo is the best! His fill-in-the-blank style notes are amazing and they make lectures easy to follow along and pay attention to. CHM-115 is a hard class that you cannot get behind in so be prepared to apply yourself and show up to class!

I loved Dr. Deo so much. He explained the content well and was on top of posting assignments and grading. I loved being in his class and made sure I had him for CHM-115 the next semester. He gave us fill-in-the-blank notes for lectures, practice quizzes, and worksheets for each chapter to help us study. Attendance counted for participation points.

Dr. Deo's course was rigorous but rewarding. He offered amazing office hours, reliable IAs, and “fill‑in‑the‑blank” notes that saved me. He posts detailed announcements and actively engages all 90+ students. Despite its challenges, he's a fantastic professor—take his class and lean on your peers; they're your best resource.

He was probably the best professor I had this semester, he was really good at explaining the concepts and would have print out and fill in the blank notes which made it easier to take notes. In addition he also had practice quizzes which really helped with the preparation of the quizzes as well as the exams.

Dr. Deo was overall a good professor. Sometimes we would get ahead in coursework, and so quizzes weren't always aligned with what we were currently learning, which I found tough. This is a hard course to pass but if you put in the effort and use the resources, it's definitely doable.

Please don't let my grade scare you or think Dr. Deo isn't a good professor, chemistry is just hard and it was harder for me than for most. With that being said, Dr. Deo's class was productive and he made certain topics easier to learn and understand. He gives many recourses if you need them. Pro tip: leave your phone in your bag until its over lol

Professor Deo is intelligent and an expert in chemistry. His class is very lecture heavy, and there's a LOT of homework. I'd recommend chipping at away at the assignments at least a week in advanced (when you start the chapter). He's not a bad professor, but his class is difficult.

While many people enjoy Professor Deo's lectures, I found them really hard to follow and when the Exams came around I found myself needing more explanation in class than I thought. If you took AP Chemistry you should be fine, but I would take a different professor who is easier to follow in class.

Dr. Deo was an incredible professor for Chem 113. The class is definitely tough and the quizzes and tests are worth a majority of your points. He does give out plenty of practice problems that you can do but aren't required. He also posts fill-in lecture notes that follow exactly what is on the tests and quizzes.

I had Randhir for both Chem 1 and Chem 2. I liked him a lot more for Chem 1. This is a tough class, but my top homeboy Randhir makes it at least a bit easier. All the material is more focused on engineering, so as a biology major, I really struggled with it
