Easy class. Lots of notes. Lots of reading.
Great notes, reading is a lot but possible to pass without reading.
He's easy if you want a B, i wanted an A, not sure exactly what he wanted
Lots of notes along with boring lecture, its possible to pass without reading any of the assigned reading materials. Very hard to get an A in the cource though.
Really easy teacher just studdy and read and dude you will get an A. Just read the books and your good to go.
He is a very helpful and nice professor. Notes are organized, however, he expects very high on your inputs on the exam. Easy to get B, very hard to get an A. There are 5 readings to do, very boring.
omg...this class is such a breeze... u dont even have to show up for his lectures... just read the books and u'll get an A
Be prepared to read a lot. The tests are only based on the readings not his notes so there is no reason to go to class. He expects a lot on the exams!
i barely ever went to class and i never read one book and i got an B. the tests are really hard but i got all my information for the study guides by searching online and showing up in class for the reveiw days. take this class!
His lectures were interesting but his testing seemed to be based on messing with the people that never showed up, so the rest of us got shafted!
I don't think I showed up to class once from the midterm to the final and I got a B. Never read any of the books either. The study guides help, and you don't have to do all of it either. Very easy class, very boring professor.
I read none of the books and I still passed w/ a B. You don't really have to go to class, but sometimes it is helpful for some of the notes. He's a very nice man and if all you're looking for is a B, you can easily get it. If you don't go to class, just research the study guide on the computer.Easy!
His classes were SO boring, and he rambled on and on about nothing. I hardly ever went to class, only on the days he was going to review the books. He grades tests pretty harshly. All the notes and syllabus were online... would probably teach an online class really well, though.
He so nice. Love his class. You do not have to go to class because everything online. However, you want to go to class because he make history fun. He really easy to talk to. Take him he play music in class.
let's get this right... his class is NOT interesting. VERY boring. BUT... i hate history and i managed a B without going to class and didnt read the required 4 novels. tests are bluebooks. he gives a study guide.. so basically gives you the test. just prepare and memorize like i did. good person.
Uninteresting and seemed very green to me. Also, lectures get convoluted with his laborious use of technology, which ends up not making much impact and wasting time (though the film clips are good and relevant). If I had to do again, I'd take someone else.
Dr. Baxter is very knowledgable about the subject and presents the material in an interestin manner. He shows cool pictures, movie clips and plays music relevant to the lecture. Overall, this is a low stess class and i would take him again.
pretty laid-back guy. i only went to this class once every 2 or 3 weeks and got a B. didn't read the books, just showed up to the review sessions. extremely boring, unorganized lectures. no extra credit, no homework, one pretty easy writing assignment. midterm and final are term definitions and long answer, gives questions in advance.
His notes are online so you dont need to go to class. Just browse through the books and go to the review sessions and you should get a B.
Very easy class, I never even went and passed with a B. His tests are on topics that most people can blab on and on about without ever cracking open a book. I would definately take his class again.
Holy crap i went to class for a total of about 5 times...guys the study guides ARE the tests...he just leaves out a couple of items from the study guide and calls it the test...jus look up the study guide and look it up online as if it was HW...people this class in unbelievebly easy....and hes nice and chill...
I never went to class, never paid attention when i was in class, had no interest in the subject, got all the answers for the tests online, and still passed with a B+. Hes boring, but thats just because he is in love with history and thinks boring things are interesting. i recommend if you dont like going to class or school in general.
Easy class. Consists of Midterm, paper, and final. He gives you the questions that are gonna be on the tests on the blackboard. Along with the answers to those questions in his lectures that he posts up. He doesn't even expect you to come to class after the first two classes. Just read the lectures, look at the test questions...and you're done!
never went to class after the second week.lecture are online and he gives u questions for his midterm and final. his paper was easy. theres four reading books required, but his questions for the exams arent even FROM the book. u can get the answers from ur high school text or online. no need for books. i only read the first book and stopped
dont need to attend class nor buy the books. Lectures are on blackborad.Theres 1 paper and a midterm and of course a final. His test are fairly easy if u actually attempt his study guide.(which gives the test topics, its like which 2 of the 5..somethin like that) should get a B at least!!!
His paper is easy. The midterm isn't hard but he expects a lot of detail in 50mins. Which is almost impossible. However since the final is 2hrs you have a lot more time to fully answer the questions. The test are not hard, you should not get anything below a B in that class!
i like this guy, he's very animated when giving lectures! however, this course was painfully boring! not his fault though... i thought the 2 exams were pretty tough, so much writing and details required!!! but he does go over the essay questions in class so take notes and you should be able to do fine.
this teacher was very boring..the class was boring. i barely went to class. there was ONE class that was actually fun...but he grades really easy and he's a real nice guy. so i recommend him !! =)
The guy knows his stuff and can answer any question but he is very boring and cannot do anything to help that. I went to class even though he did not care at all, gots B's on the tests and did not read any books, and got a B in the class.
Dr Baxter is a chill teacher and a nice person. He is very clear with what he is looking for and all you have to do is do the study guides because he gives you the questions ahead of time to prepare for his exams. Very straight forward and you don't need the book for his class. Just look up the answers to the study guide on wikipedia.
class was boring. i was struggling to keep myself awake. good teacher though. had all the study guides and powerpoints online. easy grader. learned some interesting things that i didnt know before i took the class. i reccomend people to take his class.
Yeah you dont have to go to class, and his midterm and final are easy ONLY if you put a lot of time into memorizing the different information and dates on each occasion. The bad thing about his class is that you don't know what he expects you to write!! You can write a lot of information but he won't give you full credit! overall, i say aviod him.
He carries himself in a really amusing way. His lectures are pretty good, but alot of the stuff is not even on the midterms. He gives you a study list & half the terms appear on the midterm/final. So just memorize the terms, look them up from the lecture, or google them. Since he gives you the terms he grades waay hard/picky. 2 tests, 1 easy paper
I like his teaching style, HIGHLY RECOMMENDS, very easy and simple teacher, 1exam, 1 paper, final. Just memorize the info and answer those 5 Ws (who, what, when, where, why, how etc) You really DONT need to go to class for the lectures (barely 1/3 show up out of 40 students) so follow the schedule he post on blackboard and you'll do fine.
A lenient professor, he doesn't grade tough like some teachers do. As long as you have the informations that he wants then you'll pass the class with a good grade. He assigns you reading books but i didnt read any of them and i pass with a B. Just go to his reviews and the answers are there for you.
This class is very easy. I hardly went to class and still got a B. Don't buy the required text books, use the internet to get the answers for the midterm and final. He is boring, but you don't need to try hard to get a good grade. He is an easy grader and there is only one paper.
love this professo!!! this class was SUPER EASY.. he doesnt take attendence.. i didnt read the two book at all for the midterm and i got a B on it ... didnt study much thats why... jsut show up to his classes and take notes.. go to his study sessions!!! it helps ALOT!!
he is a easy dorky teacher. get the outlines online and do well on the midterm and final.
You can pass this class by simply writing out descriptions of whats on the study guides, and you don't have to read anything other than whats necessary to grasp the ideas behind the terms on the study list. he's a pretty boring teacher, but kind of charming. i did not attend this class regulary but got a pretty good grade.
Great professor. Grade based 2 exams, and 1 final. Outlines are posted online, but the details are left for you to fill out. Attend the lectures, jot down notes onto the outlines. study outlines. Do the readings of assigned books. and you should pass this class. Baxter is very approachable and helpful. Gives many fun facts. Great Prof.
pretty easy class, kinda boring but if you read you will do well. he gives you a clear study guide and the tests are pretty easy!
Very easy, chill professor. Interesting class and he's not anal on attendance as long as you keep up you'll be okay. I didn't read one of the books and got a B. Lectures are very helpful!
Professor Baxter is funny and makes a pretty dull subject interesting. He gives study guide before each tests, so this class is very passable. I got an A-. If you skim over the books and know the key people/ideas you should be able to get a B.
I wasn't very interested in this subject, but I managed to get a B+. He's a very nice professor. The class grade is based on a midterm and final. Not necessarily the easiest exams to study for, but he is extremely helpful. I feel as if I learned a lot.
He is very nice and approable. The exams are not easy, but he is extremely helpful.
Professor Baxter is a great teacher and knows a lot about the subject. I didnt read any of the books and got a B. Show up for his review sessions and study the guides thoroughly and you will pass.
Excellent teacher. He turns all of the craziness of American history into an easy to digest narrative. Wish more professors could do that.
Like others said, show up for lecture and the study guide review days and you'll do fine. I didn't read any of the books, just know the general key ideas and you'll get atleast a B. It's like every other histroy course though, memorize and regurgitate on the exam day. Goodluck.
Enjoyed this class, except some boring parts. Overall, pretty simple and easy. He gives you all the material that he will test you on during tests. Only a midterm and final. No h/w! As test approaches, he narrows down the test. All essay questions. He is organized, answers emails promptly, and is always very approachable. Got an A.
Dr. B is pretty chill..doesn't take attendance..there's only a midterm and final and an paper but its optional which doesn't affect your grade..his tests are short essay..definitely a passable class!!
dont buy the books, you dont need them. easy class. you dont need to show up. tests are essay/short answer form. notes are on blackboard.
Baxter's class is fairly easy. Just make sure you are there for review days and follow the study guide. The tests are all essays and short answers. As a teacher, he is not very entertaining but every so often he does pull a funny joke.
this class is extremely easy to get a B. Not recommended for science majors. Maybe about one student receives an A in his class. Just saying. He is pretty kool though and lectures in an interesting way. Easy if you want to pass tho for the credit
Overall, a good professor. Notes are online so print them and bring them to class, two exams that consists of many short essays, in which he shows you possible questions beforehand and narrows down on exam day. He will get upset if you disrupt class! This class does require multiple books but you might be able to get away with that. Recommended!
Easiest Professor I haven taken at Cal State Fullerton! HONESTLY, I didnt go to class for about a month and managed to pass with an 85% TAKE HIM! Cool professor! Won't regret it! You dont need the books, I never bought mine!! Kids, do good in school though! An 85% is good, but an A is even better! :)
AWESOME TEACHER! I got a B in the class and only went to class around 7 times the whol semester! Its a pretty chill class just have someones notes at hand and youll be good !
often skipped class & managed to get a B. didn't bother getting the books. Tests consists of 2 maybe 3 in-class essays. Not a hard grader though it is not easy getting an A. On a side note, try avoid talking to him after class as he has a habit of rambling. If skipping class & getting a B is what u want, than this is your guy!
An okay class, grades based on only 2 exams (midterm and final) so it's pretty difficult to get an A. Seems like a lot of ppl get B's. A lot of ppl skip class too but I recommend that you go cuz his lectures will help you on the exams. I actually learned in this class, so if you are looking for an enriching experience then this class is for you!
Professor Baxter is really passionate about American history and really cares about the material. His lessons are very straight-forward and clear. We had to get four books for the course, however, I only skimmed over two of them and I got a B in the class. He is pretty funny and is an overall nice guy. I would recommend taking his class.
He is seriously one of the cutest old men I've ever seen. He is so passionate about this subject it's great. Most people didn't struggle to get a B. I didn't. Not going to lie though, there were moments where I would fall asleep because of how boring he got. If you have a short attention span, don't take him. But still..take him.
Course covers a lot of material but Baxter did a great job of teaching. Attendance not mandatory. Don't buy the 4 books. Powerpoints have all the info you need. He was super helpful in OH and through emails. He gives you a study guide with ~30 terms and possible essay questions but cuts it down prior to exams. 2 exams and optional essay.
Definately knows what he is talking about. I HATE history and never payed attention in class nor bought the books but passed. Gives you a study guide with about 25 terms but cuts it down to half for the exam. Go to the reviews and his officehours cause he literally gives you all the answers.
Professor Baxter is extremely knowledgeable in the subject, and is very interested in what he teaches. The class is entirely lecture along with ppts posted online. I honestly didn't buy the books and did just fine without them. The only thing I didn't like was that your grade is based on only a midterm, final and optional essay.
This class is really hard to fail... And it is really hard to ace.
TAKE THIS CLASS! HE IS EXTREMELY FRIENDLY AND REALLY DOES WANT TO HELP. IM USUALLY NOT THE TYPE TO GO TO OFFICE HOURS BUT I WENT TO ASK HIM TO GO OVER THE TERMS THAT WERE GOING TO BE ON THE TEST AND HE TOLD ME EVERYTHING! I NEVER BOUGHT ANY BOOKS. CLASS HAS 2 TESTS AND 1 FINAL WITH AN OPTIONAL ESSAY. ATTENDANCE ISNT MANDATORY. GO TO REVIEW DAYS!
He's a great teacher and you can tell he knows what he lecturing about. There are three essay exams. he gives you the terms and has a review sesh before the exam. Very helpful if you ask questions and entertaining during lectures. Did not buy the books or read them and still did pretty good.
This class is really hard to fail, yet really hard to Ace. Attendance is not mandatory nor are the text books. Exam reviews are pretty useless, google your own answers on the terms he will provide. Tests are all term explanation; context, significance etc. Exams formats like.. list of 8, 4 on the exam, write about 2. Only allows 30 min for exams..
If you like history, take this class. 2 midterms, a final, and an optional paper. Tests consist of identifying terms and one essay given on the study guide. Kind of a hard grader so make sure that you are specific in your answers. You don't really need the books and attendance isn't mandatory, but it will definitely help you pass the class
Attention to detail is a must for his class. Tests are timed and on very specific material. Very responsive to questions and emails. On tests, don't waste your time writing something pretty. He's only interested in facts. Overall, an incredible professor.
Great teacher! You have to show up to class to understand what was going on. There was no homework and a midterm and final. The tests are tough but you have to study. Go to his office hours for some clarity and he is so helpful! If you ask any questions he will answer in detail. Not even my major, but he is the best teacher I've had so far!
Easier class than others, don't buy the books. He gives you lists of terms and an essay question for the three tests so you know exactly what will be on them. You don't have to go to class because he posts his powerpoints online. He is a tough grader though but if you provide a lot of info and detail in your test answers then you will be fine.
Lectures were really boring and long. Tests require you to memorize every detail in order to get an A. Most people got B's and C's.
Worst class I've ever taken!! Lectures are so boring and he doesn't at all prepare you for the test! Unless you're someone who enjoys memorizing EVERYTHING from the semester for the final, (and likes essay style exams) don't take this class! You've been warned!
He calls all his exams "midterms," so there were a total of 3 midterms. First and second were 25% of your grade and the final exam was 50%. There's an optional essay, which will bump your final down to 40%. All blue-book exams and they were timed! Attendance helps. He tells you everything in office hours too. 3 exams your whole grade in the class
NO HW NO quizzes . 3 Exams including a Final ( blue Books). Reading the book is waist of money and time. I Would just be in class you learn better. Do not expect an (A+) from this teacher. Rather he gives a lot of B's. No extra Credit, but he is a nice teacher and I would recommend him. Take the AMST 201 with him, you would worry about your GPA .
A great professor! There's lecture outlines online but class lecture notes are necessary. Attendance kinda mandatory but no roll call. I skipped a few classes, got notes from a friend, and still did fine. No hw, no quizzes, 3 exams based on inexpensive books. Possible to go without the books to pass. Passionate, caring speaker. Would take again.
Really great professor! He is really lively throughout his lectures and his outlines are really helpful because he basically has all the notes done you just have to take extra notes during the lecture. Attendance isn't mandatory and as long as you do the reading and look over the notes you don't really have to go to class.
Lecture can be boring but this Professor is passionate and knows his stuff. He is a tough grader. Almost impossible to get an A but impossible to fail if you try. Advice: go to class, take good notes, and memorize what you'll use for midterm/final (short answers & essays). He wants a lot of info that is accurate. Overall, awesome professor
His whole class is lecture based but puts up the notes on titanium. Two exams and a final. Exams are very straight forward and tells you exactly what will be on it, but it a tough grader and its hard to get an A. Attendance isn't mandatory, but recommended to get all his full lecture notes. Very easy class overall.
Definitely my favorite teacher so far. He is a nice, hilarious teacher with an extensive knowledge on topics (and reasons to historical events). If any teacher had the ability to possibly sway me to a history major, he is the one.
He's a great caring professor that is passionate about what he teaches. Lecture can be boring. He grades the exam pretty tough because he looks for specific things. But as long as you know your material, you can get at least a B.
LOVE him as a professor! EXTREMELY helpful in office hours, so go if you miss info in class. Note outlines are posted online BUT lecture notes are crucial b/c exams are essays so you need the details. Very animated in his lectures so he is a fun person to listen to. Gives you exam q's a few days ahead so you can practice.
This course was pretty interesting because this professor was very passionate about the material. His way of lecturing was pleasant. It is important to go to class and take notes because they will help on the exams. The exams are essays, but if you take good notes, read, and know the material, you will do well on the exams. Recommend!
He was a good professor. It seems very hard to get an A, but it's doable and it's also pretty hard to fail. Only 4 reading books and blue books, but I didn't read three of them and still passed. They are a big help though when I read the first book I understood the lectures a lot more.
1 quiz, 1 midterm, 1 final, 1 extra credit paper. Almost everything is on quizlet, just memorize and you'll be good. Sweet guy and enthusiastic about his field but lectures are boring and all over the place and not worth coming to class for.
He is pretty boring, but the tests are easy. Don't have to go to class, but definitely go to the day before a test because he explains everything and also available to go outside of class. Didn't really need to read the books , but definitely helpful.
Professor Baxter is a great professor! He is very passionate about history and you can see it. No homework, just 3 tests on 4 books. Do NOT buy the books, I ended with a B and wasted money on books. 3 tests make up your grade - test 1, midterm and final. All open answer and LOTS of studying so be prepared. Hard to get an A, easy to pass.
DON'T BUY THE BOOK!! Attendance isn't mandatory because he posts EVERYTHING online. Just show up for the reviews. 1 test, 1 midterm and final exam. Just study the online notes or Quizlet. There is a 5 page research paper for extra credit, DO IT. My overall grade was a 79% but with the extra credit my final grade is a B+ 87%.
Professor Baxter is an amazing lecturer. His class is not difficult if you attend class and actually listen to what he say. I missed about 25% of his class and I did not read the books. Your grade is based on 2 quiz short essay, 1 midterm, and 1 final worth 50% of your grade. Just make sure to attend his reviews and study Quizlet.
If you can take this class take it! However, while you are not graded on attendance I highly suggest you going to class. He posts his lecture outlines online BUT he lectures on a lot of other information you need for the exams. I only read 1/4 of the books assigned and still got an A. Just show up, take good notes and you'll do great.
Probably the most interesting history class I've ever taken! Professor Baxter is so energetic and passionate that it makes the class way more interesting than others. He's also very caring and is always happy to help!
Interesting lectures, simple class. He requires that you read 4 different chapter books but if you attend lectures and actually pay attention, you dont need to read. Exams are all written response but he goes over them before hand to try to help. Optional essay which helps with final exam.
One of the best professors I've had in my two years at CSUF. While he is a tough grader, he outlines exactly what you need to earn your grade and will go miles more than other professors to help you understand the material. I hardly went to class and rarely read, but his review sessions and office hours gave me the info I needed to receive an A.
Such an amazing caring person! Dont buy his books, I never used them. I would def take him again
Not my favorite professor but it is an easy class. Kinda boring if history isn't something you like. The whole class is just a huge lecture on the topic and you have to read the books but you can still pass without them. one quiz, one midterm, one final, and an optional essay. All of the tests are essay questions but they aren't that hard.
This class was easy & fun; lecture-heavy but Baxter is very animated and entertaining to watch. You can tell he loves his job. There were 3 tests and an optional paper that would make the final worth less; prompt was easy so do it if you can! Books were not necessary to pass but definitely helped. Best history class I've taken--and I hate history!
Professor Baxter was great -- he would spend his whole class lecturing off of outlines he posted on titanium ahead of time for us to see. attendance is not mandatory but it helps to go with the studying. overall, I'd take him again. only graded by midterm, a paper, and a final.
Dr. Baxter gives amazing lectures, its sad that nobody really shows up to class because he doesnt take attendances but he does notice the people who show up every lecture. He class grade are based on one essay, the midterm & the final. So make sure you dont fall behind on the material
This class is very straight forward, you have 3 "midterms". The final is 50% of your grade and the other two are 25%. The midterms consist of terms 8 terms and you choose 5 to write about, each being about a paragraph so basically essay length. He doesn't take attendance but the lectures describe what the terms on the midterms are and help so much!
Professor Baxter is really good at his craft. He gives very good thorough lectures and tries to make us laugh every once in a while. He appreciates when students ask questions or if you go to office hours. He has a very clear class schedule that makes it easy to stay on track. He prefers to use recorded videos instead of zoom for virtual learning.
Very nice and charismatic professor. His lectures are very boring though, but he posts all the lecture material online so you don't really have to attend class. Only 1 paper, 1 midterm, and 1 final but he gives you the questions beforehand so you can basically memorize your answers. Didn't need to get any of the books.
Prof. Baxter was so sweet and funny. His lectures were interesting. I recommend printing out all of the lecture documents that he posts on Titanium before going to lecture or else you'll be very confused. You have to do the reading in order to understand the lecture! The class consisted of 1 essay, midterm, and final. The midterm & final are hard.
Randolph is such a good man. 4 books needed, 2 papers, one midterm, and one final. his tests are not multiple choice but he does well to help you prepare for them. I recommend making a song out of the midterm study guide. 16 page paper was what killed me at the end but he graded pretty fairly and gave specific topics and notes to reference from :)
Professor Baxter is very flexible and understanding. 4 books to be read for the semester, one paper, one midterm, and one final. Midterm and final are a lot of work, but if you complete the reading and watch his powerpoints it's not too bad. He replies to emails very quickly. Just keep good communication with him and class should be easy. 9.5/10!!
NIce guy, but you're basically teaching yourself the material and the essays are just a huge summary of what you'll be teaching yourself.
Overall a good class. I am not a fan of history but this course was somewhat easy just make sure to watch ALL the lectures. You can kind of get away with not reading everything. There is only three assignments; essay, midterm and final. But don't let that scare you he's a generous grader. You'll be fine! cool dude too
Baxter teaches his students as if we were all in middle school. He doesn't want to provide correct details of history and when questioned he becomes defensive. In office hours he told me, that he has to dumb it down for students because they dont care and I should stop making it difficult for him in class by bringing up what really happened.
super cool, straight to the point, easy notes, no hw, u don't really have to read his books just pay attention
Professor Baxter is cool and nice. Lectures can be boring though. You can get away with reading (except for one the books where you have to write a 4 pg essay on it). There's 2 midterms, 1 essay, and 1 final. He gives out the prompt beforehand so you have time to gather info and memorize. He grades fairly too.
Truly this was a simple course. He is an easy grader and you can pass if you just pay attention. Class consists of very long lecture and notes but the mid terms and final aren't that hard to pass just know a little bit of history. He said we had to read like 4 different books but I did not so you will be fine just paying attention in class.
Hands DOWN the BEST professor! I never liked history until his class. He's passionate, enjoys his job, and really cares about his students. Attendance isn't mandatory, just be sure to attend the reviews. 1 essay, 2 midterms, 1 final, but he gives you exactly what's on them! If you want an A, practice timing urself and organize ur paragraphs!
This was one of the easiest classes I have ever taken. All he does is assign readings and lecture about them. He only grades one paper and 3 tests but they are relatively easy. I did not read once and did fine on every test because I just took notes on his lectures. He also gives exact test questions before hand so it is easy to study for!
This class is fairly easy! Professor Baxter does his best to make his lectures more suitable. Your grade is based on 1 paper and 3 exams + a final. He gives the test questions the class in advance and if you ever have questions you can ask him. He uses most of the class time to lecture so do your best to go to class if you can.
No homework. Test grade and first essay grade are what your grade is. Super easy if you attend his review sessions and review the material during the lectures. He has everything posted online as well. He is super funny and caring and really wants the best for each of the students.
Great professor, his lectures feel like you're listening to someone read because he talks majority of the time. It does get boring but his lectures a great! His reviews for exams are very very very helpful I definitely recommend going to those if you missed many lectures. Overall he's a good professor! 1st day of class is mandatory btw.
I already rated Dr. Baxter but after the final exam..here I am. The final is 12 pages long you are given a few topics and choose three to write about, each must have a total answer of 3 pages and there's a long essay question in the end 4 pages long due in 90 minutes. THERE ARE EASIER PROFESSORS! (Patrick Covert is a good one!!)
Great professor overall, gives good lectures and cares about students. Only grades based off of one essay and three exams but gives the questions out beforehand and has review sessions before. Kind of hard to get A's in the class but easy B's.
The professor is really nice and cares about his lectures. He gives out 2 essays, sometimes just 1 essay. Doesn't give out homework besides reading. Lectures are based on reading about 80% of the time, and the rest is information. The grade is mostly affected by papers, midterms, and finals.
Class is very lecture heavy, but you can tell Professor Baxter is very passionate about it. I only showed up for review days and test days, and still got a B+! He is very clear what will be on the tests so you can easily pass this class !
Professor Baxter provides engaging lectures, and his use of study resources like review sessions and pre-released test questions makes the class manageable. The workload is reasonable, with papers and exams being the main focus. Unstuck AI could be a helpful tool for organizing and reinforcing the course material.
Very kind professor and enthusiastic as well, his lectures had humor and he is very understanding. He graded 4 things. an essay, two midterms and a final. His grading criteria is understandable, attendance is not mandatory but I suggest you attend.
4 things to get grades but they're all very impactful. NEED to attend class or else you won't know the content. I bs the essay so I didn't get tm credit (like duh), but I did pass all my tests with a 21/25. Final I actually got the highest grade LOL I was surprised. Yeah just study hella, get the notes. Book needed but I never used it sooo yeah.
Very simple structure to the class. The class is 90% lecture, 5% reviewing for exams, 5% actual exams. Only 4 exams that truly impact your grade so be prepared! Lectures are full of notes and very helpful. Although lectures can get boring, he's quite funny and paces around a lot. Overall fun class
