Doucette is a good lecturer. He has a way of communicating the information and keeping you engaged. Go to the optional lectures, he will tell you exactly what's going to be on the test. Quizzes are based on the practice problems in the chapters. Read the chapter before class, do the practice problems before the quiz and get the easy A.

Professor Doucette is a good teacher. He is difficult to understand most of the time, but it will be easier if you read through and have a group chat. He curves the test and offers extra credit by doing 20 hours in the ASC. Although he wasn't my first choice, I would take him again if I needed to.

Professor was a okay teacher, even though I didn't really understand everything he was speaking about. Make sure you read your book it will help for the test. He curves test by giving partial credit. For this specific course if you did 20 hours in tutor lab you get your extra credit which was pretty easy.

oh. my. gosh. super easy lab class, but wow he's mean and seems to have little patience if you are confused about anything. easy class if you don't care about his personality, but that really put me off for the rest of the semester (took in summer 2024)

Don't take this class if you need a professor to teach you, I had to learn everything myself and use tutoring. He's nice however just speaks softly and not a great teacher.

Took his class summer , I feel like he's okay but you definitely will be teaching yourself ALOT. His tests are what you expect of orgo - not easy but he does curve . I managed to get a 96 on the final but definitely worked for that grade . If you have time to dedicate take him but don't expect it to be easy.

Prof truly loves Chem. Attendance wasn't mandatory and he doesn't give out hw, but the class is based off 4 tests and 9 online quizzes. Class lectures were helpful but prof would get annoyed if we were confused but he did make sure to go over it again. He uploaded videos on all the topics needed for the test. Gives extra credit for 20 ASC hrs.

I had him for chem lab and he was not the most helpful. Many students were intimidated to ask him questions. However, I don't think he is a mean man, I just feel as though he could have been more clear with instructions.

He is very thoughtful and can be viewed as one of the generations future chemistry thinkers. He encourages you to press on despite challenges. I'll advice students to take the course alone without another course if they wish to do well in it!

one grumpy professor! no guid lines, no proper lecture. he provided a test study guide and then the test had NOTHING close to what he gave us! his class is simply from him to question your inelegance when you ask a question and downgrade you in front of others. I learned NOTHING from him. if you don't read the book and watch videos you'll fail.

I would never take a class with this professor again, the worst class I ever had in my life, it's not good at explaining and skips a lot of important things.

Professor Doucette teaches his courses in a way that requires effort on your part. Before teaching he worked in industry. Has published research. He brings to the classroom real life examples. His lectures can be quite dense. Meaning, one sentence can carry a lot of weight in understanding a concept. Youtube, ASC and office hours help a lot.

It wasnt easy, I honestly felt like alot of people failed so he just passed me tbh, only 1 test came with a review the last 2 no reviews , total of 3 in class exams. doesnt really post what we need to be focusing on in d2l after the first week, your definitely teaching yourself.

Worst professor I have ever had at BC so far. Very unfiltered person who would publicly humiliate students if they answered a question wrong. You definitely have to teach yourself a lot of the topics to be able to do well on the test. Overall not a great experience I would not recommend this professor to anybody else.

DO NOT TAKE! Half the grade is 4 exams, the other half is weekly quizzes based on worksheets made by AI that have an insane number of mistakes. Tests only have like 4 questions on them, and he will give you points even if you get them wrong, but honestly, it's a very tough class. I could not recommend him ever. He gives a letter grade for asc hrs

I thought he was a good lecturer, you just need to study and practice the material on your own as well a little. Probably should retire though
