This professor deserves some credit for actually taking time and making the course interesting and fun to learn. He also takes real life events and works them into the course, rather than ficticious events out of the text. AAA++++
awesome teacher. knew what needed to be taught and how to teach it so everyone would understand!
awesome teacher one of the best at macomb. they need to offer him a full time teaching job. very good teacher for students with learning disablities!
Tries to make the boring topic of business communications a bit less boring. Has a positive attitude. Has way too many assignments to do in this class.
He is my favorite teacher that I have this semester. He works us in groups, and has many great points. There are 4 exams and one article review. Rock on Randy!!!!!!
he is the best teacher i've had at macomb. he tells you exacly what you need to know for your tests. the class is only 4 tests, 1 easy article and extra credit. take his class!
Awsome teacher, he teaches in a routine like pattern. Very easy also, all you have to do is go to class, take his notes, and your good to go!
Excellent Instructor. I am very glad that I have him as an instructor. When class is finished an hour later, he stayed another hour and half to look over assignments I had finished early to review them and give corrections. Out of 3 classes I'm taking this semester, he is the best one.
best teacher i've had by far!!!! he is very organized, fun and helpful. he gives an outline to every chapter, (you dont need the book) and a review before every test. study the outline's and you will be fine take him!
Randy G is a top 5 professor at MCC.You learn everything he teaches you.Tests are based off of the review he gives you the day b4 the test. Make sure YOU ARE NEVER ABSENT FOR THAT REVIEW DAY. Extra Credit, Sincerity, Learning, Teaching, NEVER BORING,NO HOMEWORK, AWESOME KNOWLEDGED PROFESSOR.TAKE THIS CLASS.TAKE HIM FOR ANYTHING YOU CAN.Great Prof.
He is a great instructor. His lectures are very well presented. He is very helpful and lenient with assignments and presentations. I recommend this instructor for BCOM.
Very Easy, Very helpful, seems overwelming at first but he spreads out everything which makes it alot better. I recommend him.
Randy is a wonderful instructor! I am in my last semester and have never had such a great professor. He is genuinely concerned for his students and will help them acheive success. No pressure in presentations and he provides real-world lectures. A+++
This guy here raises the bar when it comes to being a professor. Every comment on this site is exactly on target. He teaches, he listens, he's interesting, he never keeps you the full class time. The bottomline is this professor wants to keep you interested on the material but does understand what the needs of the students are. You learn.
Don't believe he is a good teacher. He expects you to kiss his feet for an A. Marks papers down without explaination. He doesn't even pay attention while you present, and he still marks you down for no reason. It seems as though he just picks favorites and grades you based on this. Don't take him.
He seems like a good guy, but I feel that the grading is unfair. I think it would be best to avoid him if you are an A student, and don't like working in groups. He also needs documentation for a death in the family, which I found insulting.
I have taken this class before and didnt pass. Professor Gerber is one of the best professors at Macomb. He teaches about real life situations and teaches you about the real business world, not just from the boring text book. He is very helpful and is always willing to help his students. If you do the work with effort you will get an A. Take Gerber
He is the best professor at Macomb. I have taken both BCOM 2050 and MGT 1010 with Mr. Gerber and was very happy with his ease of communicating concepts, giving real world examples, and his helpfulness approach. I wish he taught more classes as I would take them in a heartbeat. OUTSTANDING!!!!!
This Professor is a gem. Randy Gerber is a former business professional who brings so much to his classes. Students who take him will learn important and vital tools for the business world. I wish all professors would be this interesting and professional.
There is a lot of work in this class and Professor Gerber grades very hard.
Excellent professor. He seems to get an idea of you however from the get-go and grades you based on that perspective. If he gives you a C on your first assignment than chances are the next one you do will be the same, based on his view of you. If you want an A you should pray that he likes you. Overall a good prof. Lots of group work.
I think that Professior Gerber is one of the most interesting and best teachers I have ever taken. For the comment of there's alot of work. It isn't work, it's fun and the class ends up being a good life experience. His discussions are explained in terms of his life and experiences, which I think is great.I actually would say his class was easy.
Very nice man, I took him 2 times he was such a great teacher.
Not the best teacher to take at MCC. Hard grader. Will mark you down for stupid stuff and not justify it. Won't excuse absences even when someone passed away. Get on his good side and you will be ok because he favors certain people. I wouldn't recommend him.
i enjoyed this class..great teacher.. would take again
This was a very interesting class and I learned a lot. Randy uses his real-world exterience to keep you motivated. He was my fave instructor at MCC. My one gripe is with all the presentations. They are based on group efforts so make sure you are not stuck with a bunch of non-participating morons, they will get the same grade as you
Randy is a very cool teacher, understandable, approachable, and really wants you to learn. However,U need to attend class and u should leave a great 1st impression cuz he will grade u accordingly. He has a long history in career management and truly knows the material. HINT* he expects group projects, So get into a good TEAM!
Fantastic instructor! Mr Gerber give you the help you want, if you ask for it. Put your best into your work, and you will do great! Lots of useful information, from public speaking to letter writing and resumes'. Every student should take this class.
great teacher. Very helpful to the needs of the students. Always upbeat. Doesn't try to trick you on test. Just a all around great person.
dont take as an easy A!!! but he is a great teacher you will really learn alot about real world Bus. setings and properness. make sure you can attend class before you sign up attendance is mandatory. pay attention and you will do well!
Great teacher. Take him and you'll learn a ton.
Great teacher! Very funny and has a ton of stories. Take him!
Great speaker who keeps you engaged during the entire class & teaches in a style where you actually learn something!! To get the A though, I recommend reading the Chapters, attending class, & using his study guides/review notes for preparing for the mult choice tests. He's definitely worth taking for the class, even if you're not going into Mgmt.
I highly recommend Prof Gerber. If you do not get an A in his class you just didn't try very hard. He tells you everything on the test and the class is very enjoyable. He often let us out early. Only thing I didn't like was the mandatory powerpoint presentation. But that's life at MCC.
great teacher. he really knows how to teach and gives real life examples to help you learn the material and apply it. he gives copies of the pp slides to study for the tests and he gives you the questions (not word for word, though)! just attend class- it's mandatory and you'll do fine.
Great teacher, explains everything in 30-45 minutes, 2 hour class but your done early every class!!!!!!He teachs excellent, tells you what you need to study for a test, great guy!!!He should teach other instructors how to teach a class!!!
Prof Gerber REALLY MAKES ME ANGRY. TO PUT IT MILDLY. I DEFINITELY would have had an A. I HAD SWINE FLU -per MCC's request, etc I stayed home. I lost points that would have kept me in MY EARNED A range. IF I had blown off class, or gotten bad grades-I'd deserve a B+, however I DESERVED AN A. I Should have come in sick. Bye Dean's List-Thanks Gerber
Randy is very helpful. He makes his classes interesting with his stories about his previous management experiences. Overall a good teacher
Awesome teacher. I wish I didn't wait to take his class during my last semester!
Nice guy but very tough grader.
Mr. Gerber was good to have. He taught the class well and was straight forward. If you have him make sure you study (memorize) his practice quizes and you'll be fine on tests.
he is the best professor i have ever encountered. I took his BCOM and MGMT class, and i am so glad i took him! very helpful, easy, and u will learn lots of things from his class... very good guy! wish we had more teachers like him! THANKS MR.GERBER! U ROCK!
Great teacher!! Everyone should take him. For management just show up to class listen to lectures. You do a presentation and 4 tests that's all. Gives out a lot of extra credit! Gives to test questions on after he talks about chapter. Overall great teacher!
Gerber is the greatest! He makes it nearly impossible to NOT do well in his class. He practically gives you the entire test the day before, never assigns homework, and gives the option for tons of extra credit. His lectures are interesting and his stories are relevant to the lessons. I wish he taught more classes! He made me love management!
All you gotta do is come to class. Study for tests. And pretty easy A. Only 4 tests.
Professor Gerber let's you know exactly what is expected of you and gives opportunity for extra credit. Study sheets given after each chapter. Extra points for attendance; however, if excessive missed classes, will deduct points for doing so. Questions for tests are taken right from info. from chapters. Has a true passion for teaching and it shows
Randy Gerber is a perfect example of what an Instructor should be. He is fair, gives clarity, guides and advises as you work toward your goals. Mr. Gerber is highly respected, intelligent and very approachable. He is a rare breed in this industry and I was honored to be one of his students.
Mr. Gerber is very professional and is always willing to help.....he is also nice to look at.
Great way of teaching. Very enthusiastic.
Mr. Gerber is the best professor at Macomb. His lectures are real world stuff and keeps you interested. Also had for BCOM. You will love his classes.Take him, you won't be disappointed.
Wonderful teacher! Very enthusiastic, positive, fair, and interesting. Keeps material relevant and current, you can learn a lot from this man. He is REAL!
Has funny, relate-able stories from real work experience. Gives quizzes based off EXACT test questions & basically gives you the rest in review. Gives extra credit opportunities & bonus points for good attendance. Easy 5-10 min (3-5 min during summer) article presentation. Just pick something you would enjoy discussing or are passionate about.
he is so easy
Excellent teacher! Makes class fun and informative. show up to class and listen to the lectures! absolute best teacher at macomb
Great teacher. Every class let out early, but all the material was covered and covered well. He seems invested in his students future. I would definitely take him again.
good teacher. just does not follow his sylobis to the letter and dont argue with him if their is more than one right answer you will not win that argument
Randy is an awesome professor. Everything I've learned in class has a real world application. Mr. Gerber was always cheerful and didn't waste time. His lectures are around 50 minutes. Research paper, presentations, group presentation, complaint letter, and resume are all the big projects. There is no need to study for the quizzes (common sense.)
Randy is knowledgeable, interesting and very fair. He uses real world experience in his lectures, and truly enjoys teaching. I wish all professors were like him.
Great Teacher
He is excellent ,clear and hot.Take him because he is best professor at MCC.
Mr. Gerber is one of the best professors in MCC. He teaches you everything about Management. He knows what he's doing. His tests are pretty easy. Book use in this class is very minimal. You have to read the books carefully though. I recommend this class for all MCC beginners. You won't be disappointed, I guarantee!!!
By far the coolest teacher yet at MCC. You have to put a little dedication in the class, with studying for quizzes/tests as well as reports. He is very friendly, and he wants everyone to pass the class as well as enjoy the class. Definetley take him for Bcom.
Great guy! helped me with a lot during the semester and hes one of the few professors that actually knows his material!
easiest class ever took, took in the summer got an A with studying hours before the exam. gives you every question on the exam before the exam and quizes with questions that show up on the exam. 4 exams. so eassy take him!!!
Prof. Gerber was by far one of, if not the BEST professor i have had the pleasure to attend class for. He was extremely helpful, considerate and caring of students needs, and always willing to go that extra mile to make sure you understood. All it takes to pass this class is effort, attendance, and a willingness to take his advice. DEFF RECOMMEND!
Garber is one of the best professors I have ever had in my life. He is strightforward, honest, popular and knows his materials very well. So, if you really want to get some BENEFIT in your life, consider his class. Plus, you may end up finding a job through his help in creating your resume and cover letter. SA..
Professor Gerber was a wonderful teacher. He cares about his students and knows his material. He encourages his students and is very supportive.
Awesome teacher!! I would defiantly take him for all my business classes if I could.
Mr. Gerber was an excellent professor. He was always prepared with his weekly lecture and homework assignment. I wish I could have him for all my business classes.
Mr. Gerber is an excellent teacher! He really loves teaching and it shows. He is very helpful if you have any questions. BCOM 2050 is a lot of work but he makes good sense of all of the assignments so it is not difficult at all - just takes some time! I would defiantly take him again for any business courses he teaches.
He is such an awesome professor with a willingness to help. He is very clear about what he wants and offers feedback on everything. He understands the business world and is the perfect professor to teach about it. He gives one paper that was due mid-semester and one group project. Otherwise, there are 4 exams and all quizzes are done in groups.
Mr. Gerber is just awesome. He knows everything about his profession and he makes all the assignments a cakewalk for his students. It was a pleasure for me to have him as my instructor. He walks you through the research paper everyday and he spoon feeds you so that you don't have to worry about anything. No one can teach BCOM better than him.
Great Class, Great Teacher, Great working environment, Great assignments, Great... yeah take this class. I did not have to use my book once because he gives us chapter outlines which is enough to pass all tests. Easy A with a little effort.
Best instructor ever! Learned so much. He is very professional and knows his stuff. You need to attend and do the work but you will learn so much. The projects seem hard but they are worth it.
This guy is one of those men that had a hard life, and had to work hard. He's now making it his mission in life to deliver that same amount of pain to all of his students. Way too much work for way to little credit. He's highly judgmental about "impressions" you might make on him. This translates to extra points being deducted from your assignment.
Mr. Gerber is a great professor...the best one I have ever had. The assignments are practical and will help you in your career. If you need to take BCOM, make sure you take it with Mr. Gerber!!
Professor is a true teacher. His lectures are simple and easy to follow and he repeats himself to make sure you retain the information he is trying to get across. The research paper is not hard, just requires a moderate amount of effort and is immensely useful. Respectful and helpful, don't take this class for granted, best BCOM professor.
You really need to take this guy for BCOM. Assignments are practical and he is very clear on what he expects. Great class and he has lots of business experience.
I recommend this class for all students.
Mr. Gerber is a very helpful instructor. His assignments are clear and he tries to give real world examples in class. You will not be disappointed if you have him as an instructor! The best professor at MCC!!!!!
EXCELLENT EXCELLENT EXCELLENT class and instructor. Take Gerber for BCOM. He explains things real clearly. Just turn things in on time and you will do well. Very nice man.
Just remember 181 rule-lol you will get this in the class. This professor makes me believe there are still great teachers in the world who CARE. He is an excellent instructor. You must participate and come to class that's your job and do the work.
Gerber is the best professor I have ever taken from. He makes you love what you thought you'd hate. His semester is easy if you come to class and take notes. Rarely had to crack my book. Lots of assignments but he makes it so easy you have to be not paying attention to not succeed. Ask questions for clarity and have a good attitude and you'll ace.
Gerber is the best!!!! This class is very helpful for life in general. Mr. Gerber is a great guy who really wants to see you succeed.
He is an amazing teacher with amazing stories to tell. His class overall was a breeze in regards to the homework assignments and tests, but as for the final research report due at the end of the semester, it was really straining and he was very strict on the requirements! (Big part of grade)
Pros: -The teacher is genuine and personable -Challenging in a constructive way -Very clear teaching methods -Great group activities -Lets class out when material has been covered -181 rule (You will get this later) Cons: -No leeway on late homework (5 Minutes late and its a zero) -Three oral presentations in front of the class (Not really a con)
Prof prepares you for what's to come in your work career and what you need to know. Extremely informational and accurate in getting one prepared to obtain work and or how to enhance your current career
one of the best instructors at macomb. great guy, very informative and a great inspiration. pay attention in class to his lectures, do the work and you will pass, i will take his class again, it was very fun and not boring at all.
Very nice and professional, he tells you exactly what he expects. DO NOT THINK YOU CAN GET ANY EXCUSE FOR ANYTHING PAST HIM! One thing i learned from him to is always have backups of backups ready to hand in.
We only had a few tests. You'll barely need the book! just do the test outlines/study guide and you're good to go. Also if you show up to every class you'll receive extra credit.
Mr. Gerber is the best!!!
Mr. Gerber is everything you look for in a professor. He is kind, funny, and cares about his students. He centers most of the assignments around employment. Just don't turn in assignments late (you won't get credit). If you turn things in on time, all will be good!
Prof Randy is funny, nice, cares about students, few paper assignments nothing you can't handle, research paper and presentation due at the end of the class he helps you though it, 3 tests, 5 group quizzes, easy grader, funny, lots of interesting stories, would definitely take him again, extra credit for attendance.
Gerber give decent lectures and he switches it up to keep your attention. However, I did not like his BCOM class bc it was all group work- even quizzes were done in a group. I'm not a fan of having my grade determined by others. Gerber is also on a power trip. He won't accept late assignments even when you have a legitimate excuse.
Mr. Gerber is a great guy and professor. You will learn a lot about business and real world stuff.
Mr. Gerber is by far the best professor I have had at MCC. The assignments and discussions are so very helpful and are related to the business world. You will not be disappointed if you take his class!
If you need to take BCOM, then Professor Gerber is the one you should take!! Hands down the best professor I have had!!!
Mr. Gerber is so kind, his interest is for you to gain from the class something valuable and does everything in his power to do so (within reason). Plenty of projects, but he gives great guidance and clear expectations. He makes it hard to not pass. The business report is the MOST important assignment, don't take it lightly.
I really enjoyed Mr. Gerber's BCOM class. I really learned a lot but also at the same time it was fun. Mr. Gerber is very nice and is willing to help you. You can't go wrong if you take his class!
Gerber, Gerber, Gerber. great guy ! great professor!! A true gem. take him for BCOM!!!!
Great teacher land on the right side of the 8 one 8 you will understand
Best class ever at MCC. All of the assignments and class discussions were very helpful and applicable to business and life. Mr. Gerber is a very helpful person and is willing to help you in any way possible. Take this class you will not be disappointed.
Gerber really wants to help his students become ready for the real business world and gives great assignments to prepare students. Caring, funny and offers 25 bonus pts for perfect attendance at the end. Quizzes are taken in groups at your table. Gives study guides for tests. Great class!
Mr. Gerber is a one of a kind professor (in a good way). He is a true gem and a person you won't forget. You will learn a lot about business. He loves to tell stories that relate to the class. You won't be disappointed if you take this class with Gerber!
Amazing teacher. Really tries to help his students succeed. Highly recommend everyone takes his BCOM class.
He is the best professor! He makes it very clear that if you put an effort in the class you will to well. His lecture style is full of stories and very entertaining. I took this class as a once a week four hour night class and we were never their more than two hours. There is one big paper, but not hard. I would take him for every class if I could.
This is a wonderful class. Listen, do the work and you will do well. Mr. Gerber is willing to help you in any way possible. He will stay after class and answer any of your questions. I highly recommend him as a professor.
interesting discussions, gets you ready for communicating in the business world, good stories and 181 rule!!! You will enjoy this class (as much as you can enjoy going to school). Very good instructor.
Mr. Gerber really cares about his students and their success. The best teacher by far at MCC. He prepares you well for the business world.
I really liked Mr. Gerber's class. It helps with giving presentations, preparing you for interviews and working in business. Mr. Gerber is a great guy!!!
He is a good teacher i would suggest taking for this particular subject he front loads the class so be careful on that he also does group projects which i didnt care for
A true gem. mr. gerber was honestly one of my favprite teachers ive taken at mcc. an inspiration as a matter of a fact. he teaches you things that truly matter wants you to achieve them at your best. if i could take this course again i would.
This was a wonderful experience and Mr. Gerber is an outstanding professor!! A true professional and great person.
The only reason I said that a textbook is used is for the tests. A majority of the class is done with projects, and papers. He front loads the class meaning the first half of the semester you have a majority of your work, but the second half slows way down. He does this to help with finals. Solid choice, and a good professor.
I loved this class and professor!!!! Amazing class and learned a lot.
If i could give Mr. Gerber a higher rating i would. He is by far the best teacher ive ever had! He presents material in a way thats easy to understand. He GENUINELY cares for every student and helps you with every assignment. He never seems to gt annoyed with lots of questions. He knows his stuff. I learned a lot from him. i would recommend him!!!
Great professor that truly cares about you. He is very specific when it comes to assignments but will help you with every step along the way. Only a few short tests but quite a few assignments throughout the system. He will never make you listen to a boring lecture. Expect to leave early each class.
Best teacher EVER!!!!! You will enjoy his stories, it makes the time go by quick. Just follow his instructions and turn work in on time and you will do good in the class.
This teacher was my favorite ever! This class is about presenting and writing. Mr. Gerber is an amazing presenter. His discussions are like one big life story that will make you think and laugh and cry. Mr. Gerber is the 1 in the 181 (you will understand this after taking the class).
Honestly best teacher! Inspired me to do better.
My presentation skills got higher
If you have the opportunity you should take this class with Mr. Gerber. He is the BEST teacher I have ever had.
I really liked Mr. Gerber as a professor and a person you could talk to about the business field and careers. There are several assignments but he will guide you and help as much as possible. It was a great experience. Just show up and turn your assignments in on time.
Prof. Gerber did a great job with this class. He has put a lot of work into preparing for the class and makes it very easy for you to get an A if you do the work and aren't lazy.
I'm writing this rating a semester after having him. I actually learned something worthy of this class. I've become so much better at presentations and always think back to the things I remember from this class. He was such a sweet guy and really just wants everyone to do good. Highly recommend him because I hope I get to take him for another class
Professor Gerber is great! He's very understanding and very clear with his assignments and expectations. Personally, I really loved the Hobby Presentation assignment, it was a great way to get to know everyone and it was awesome that he's so interested about the outside lives of his students. I'd recommend him to any and everyone!
Caring teacher. Puts time and thought to every lecture given, wants to actually benefit students. Very helpful and nice, show him you care! He really teaches you worthy things. I recommend him 100%.
Professor Gerber is so inspirational and gives you all the time in the world to complete assignments in class. Also, he front-loads the class so you don't feel so stressed with other classes near finals. This is one of the best classes i have taken at Macomb.
Great professor, has a method to his madness, he'll give you all the heavy loads early, then you get to chill for 3 weeks until course is over. He's great
Randy Gerber is a great professor. There are few presentations we had to do. His exams are super easy, he also gives study guides. There were 1 big project and one group presentation. He also gives extra credits for perfect attendance. Take him, you wont regret. Show up, do all the work, and get an A.
One of the best teachers at MaComb. He is super laid back. Very down to earth. Tells great stories. He gives more than enough in class time to get major assignments completed. You will learn a lot about the importance of communication in the business world. Th is class was an easy A but you have to apply yourself!
Like someone said before he has a method to his madness. All of his assignments are easy just a lot thrown out at once. If you are good at managing time then this is the class for you. I liked how the class was set up. He's not an understanding person and honestly was very rude. That was mainly the only problem I had with the class.
Gerber is the ONE to take for BCOM. He cares about students, tells great stories and you learn a lot about communicating in business. Through his assignments, it helped me find a new job!
Gerber is the definition of an outstanding professor
Mr. Gerber is a truly a one of a kind professor! Through my career of learning, I have never been so inspired and dedicated as I was by him & his class! From the small talk, lectures and stories to the assignments they all impacted me in a positive way! I wish he could be my professor throughout all of my business courses!
You must take this class with Mr. Gerber! He is so helpful and the class is well organized. He will inspire you and is very professional.
The best professor by far at MCC. He gives all the assignments up front and gives you plenty of time to do the assignments in class. There is one big paper due with a presentation and a group presentation. If you have the chance to take professor Gerbers class I would HIGHLY recommend it.
Mr. Gerber is a great instructor and a very nice man. I enjoyed the class. He creates a welcoming environment and you learn a lot about communicating in the business world. You will not regret taking the class with him as your instructor.
I put off taking BCOM until a friend told me to take it with Mr. Gerber. He is kind and very helpful. If you need to take BCOM.... take it with Mr. Gerber!!!
Prof. Gerber is by far the best teacher that I've had at MCC. He is clear with the assignments and is willing to help you in any way possible.
Easiest online class I have ever taken. You need the book for the tests but that is about it. Barely any discussions and minimal assignments. He basically gives you the answers for the little work required. Take him. You wont regret it.
Would take him again. A few tests, a few assignments, a big report and presentation requiring an audience.
Overall a good teacher. He gives all assignments for the semester in the beginning of the course, which is helpful for students who want to move ahead and get work done. He's good at giving feedback for assignments that may have deducted points, very strict on deadlines so make sure everything is submitted on time.
Prof. Gerber has the most unclear grading criteria. He assigns a group project saying that you will be graded individually for your work. However, he gives a group grade, so you have to hope you get a good group or else youre screwed. Would not take his class again, worst professor at Macomb
Did this class online. Super easy. A few quizzes, but all the answers are in the book. Couple group projects but the bigger one is towards the end, but waived the 4 ppl audience needed for it which was super easy! I recommend taking Mr. Gerber!
If you have a busy schedule like me defiantly recommended this professor. He gives you so much time to get projects done. He is very attentive and always responded quickly. Overall, my favorite class because I love getting a head start on things!
Easy, easy A! You wont regret taking the class with him and will likely finish the work required weeks ahead of schedule. His classes waitlist fast due to this so sign up ASAP.
I turned in an assignment 9 minutes late and he refused to grade it. My grade dropped 20%, I tried explaining to him why I did turn it in late, but all the replies he gave me were the same, he just copied and pasted them. Very disrespectful. I was working 6 days starting at 5am and have multiple classes. 9 minutes late is nothing.
He was a great teacher. I loved that he opened all the modules that way you could work ahead. I finished all my modules a week early! It was amazing!
Great teacher, he basically opens up all weeks so you can work on projects as you finish and turn them in as early as you want. The projects were pretty easy and the group project was pretty easy even though it is all done online.
Easy projects... or so you would think. Horrible feedback and the most nitpicky grader. Would not recommend taking this class with this professor!!
Just take him, you'll be fine if you follow instructions closely, put plenty of time in, and for the love of God PLEASE look at his study guides... They'll save you a lot of trouble...
Good professor, but his instructions are horrible
Loved Prof. Gerber. Very helpful with questions and the class was enjoyable. Not much work weekly but most assignments are "big" assignments worth a lot of points. He opens all modules the first week so you can work ahead. I finished the class 2 weeks early which was nice. He is also the quickest grader! Highly recommend!
The absolute best professor at Macomb Community College. I took his class 100% online and only half of the semester! Very easy class! Projects are worth a lot of points at the end but they are veryyyy easy!
Gerber was overall a good professor, the class is project based at the end and they're not too difficult, even the business report, just make sure you stay kinda on top of work. He doesn't give great instructions tho, I messaged him 2-3 times a week trying to clarify assignments. This class is easy though, workload is definitely manageable.
The workload is very manageable and I appreciated how he opened all assignments at the start of class. Instructions were very vague and were frustrating at times. Do not procrastinate! Also, he grades on small details so double-check everything before submitting. 3 exams, two presentations (one with a group over Zoom), 5 assignments. Easy workload
This class was super easy. As long as you follow the syllabus, you'll get a good grade. I would definitely recommend this professor.
The workload is manageable, but Prof. Gerber's vague instructions can be frustrating. Stay on top of assignments and use resources like Unstuck AI to excel. Overall, an easy class if you put in the effort.
Professor Gerber was an amazing professor. There were multiple assignments that you needed to start weeks in advance, but as long as you read the week overviews, you will be set for the course.
I didn't like this guy. The amount of reading for the exams was ridiculous, often exceeding 100 pages, and they were back-to-back for three weeks, and no study guides. Not a terribly difficult grader, but there were a few times where he marked me down for ridiculous details or things not stated on the rubric. But the assignments were not hard.
Good professor. Easy class. Make sure to start work early, some assignments take a lot of time.
Honestly was an easy class itself. Easy grader & not much heavy work if you work fast/ahead. Only reason I ended with a B was because I missed a deadline for one assignment and he didn't wanna work with me…. Frustrating as I've had teachers make an exception, but at least it wasn't a pass or fail thing
