He grades tough and you need to be willing to put in the work. He tells stories that keep class interesting. If you visit him during office hours and after class he will help you out. He gives a ton of extra credit as well.

I'll be honest, he's a very smart guy. He knows what he's teaching, but he doesn't teach it very well, if you know what I'm saying. He was very hard to follow in class. The homework was even worse... I don't think there was ever a time I knew what I was doing. He does give tons of extra credit, though. And he has a sense of humor, so that's good

He is the worst teacher ever. I had him for pre calc and this was the hardest class for me He gives notes in class which are useless because you cant even read his writing. His notes are compeltely irrelevant to the homework. If you need pre calc, i suggest take a different professor because he is by far the worst math teacher ever.

Randy does not go very in depth when teaching the material. He will show the core concept but leave it up to you to figure out how to put it to use in the daily homework. If you go to him during office hours he will basically do a few homework questions for you. Sometimes when he gets frustrated he will make fun of students, but in a not funny way.

AVOID this professor if possible. He does not explain the material well. His hand writing is very sloppy/hard to decipher. The notes from class (if you can read his hand writing) are useless/irrelevant to the homework. Also, his eye sight isn't very good. As a result, he will take off points from your grade for "light pencil marks."

He's a really funny and nice guy, but his notes are very sloppy and hard to read. He also grades homework harshly and even marked me down for leaving the fringes on the side of my lose leaf paper.. He just starts writing and talking without saying what we'll be learning/what chapter we're doing first. The class has no structure, and is confusing.

Randy has his own methods that sometimes the math lab doesn't even understand. Go to him during his office hours and it'll help. He knows what he's talking about, but it's difficult to follow him. He doesn't really know how to use tech, so forget emailing if you have q's and want to check grades. His notes during lecture are sloppy so good luck.

Randy is a professor who teaches you the basics of the material and expects that you will go home and put in the time learning the fine detail. The homework is exponentially harder than the tests but material is similar. Lectures are fast paced so visits to office hours are a must to receive an A. Funny, intelligent old-school instructor.

He is very interesting to listen to and tells a lot of stories. You will have homework every night. It IS graded on correctness. Gives a lot of extra credit if you complete sample exams that he sends out around a week before the exams. If you are not good with math then do NOT take this. If you do like math then I highly recommend him.

Randy is a funny man, but he spends time telling stories rather than teaching. His notes are very sloppy, when we ask him to slow down during lecture he straight up told us no. He is a harsh grader, I was even marked down five points for putting "2017" instead of "2018". Majority of our class (18/30 students) dropped after the first exam.
