Good teacher. He is dedicated to teaching and not lecturing. He wants his students to pass. He has the lowest drop out rate, which may prove something. Makes things interesting in class by making side remarks about life... funny.
He is really funny, and adds funk to the class. He gets your mind off of learning, but at the same time makes you learn.

If you are struggling with algebra at all, this is THE teacher to take. Explains things extremely well, stays on topic much better than most. Excellent teaching style, and extremely helpful.
He's an excellent teacher. He makes sure that you understand the content and is very helpful. Funny guy with tons of stories.
Best math teacher I've ever had. He's hilarious, fun, and so interesting. I can't believe how much I learned in that class, and not just about math! That guy is awesome. Take him for algebra for sure!!
he is one of the greatest prof. ive ever had. he is very intelligent, funny, good at teaching. the class is not hard. he prepares you well for quizes and tests.
He's the best math instructor I've ever had! He's very intelligent, extremely funny, and ... He's the bomb!
Great teacher! Wish all were like this one: interesting, grades fairly, and provides good review materials to take the guesswork out of studying. Will take all future math classes with him.
he's an awesome teacher.he helps his students out a lot.one thing i really liked about this teacher is that HE TREATED EVERYONE FAIRLY.HE IS ALWAYS HAPPY ALL THE TIME.whether he might have had a bad day, he doesn't bring his problems to class, unlike oth
he's a good teacher, he goes over problems, willing to help you... has a quirky sense of humor though, but it's entertaining
HE'S DEFENETLY THE BEST TEACHER I'VE EVER HAD. HE WILL ANSWER ALL YOUR QUESTION EVEN AFTER THE CLASS.HE'S FUN AND AWSOME. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND HIM.
This is the best math professor i have ever had. Very approachable, grades easy, doesnt collect homework. Few tests that are really easy. You do need to go to class, but dont need to do the homework. Gives out practice tests, and a mini final, for review!
He is a really great teacher but make sure that you pay attention and do your homework. If you dont do ur homework you are bound to fail. Grading is alrite.....
Best. Math. Teacher. Ever. Randy has a following a mile long because he's just so good at what he does. I have nothing but love for Randy Rosenberger. The man is a godsend for all non-math types out there. Still knows me by name, too, years later.
randy is one of the best math teachers i have ever had! he is a very nice guy, with a very interesting family background. i would recomend him to anyone! he is very clear and your quiz scores make up for your lowest test score!! i love randy!!!
I don't like him at all. He not so good.
He tells a lot of stories when he teaches and is nice to students. He's funny but you can only learn a little from his lectures so you have to work really hard and keep up with all the homework, which is all odds in every section. Take him if you're already good in math and want to be entertained.
BEST MATH TEACHER EVER! this teacher is fun to listen to, very funny, always tells stories, gives many lessons on the important things in life such as a happy family and beer. hes awsome!
He is a great teacher and pay attention to the lectures. He is funny and talks a lot about his family. The tests are ok even though he tells you what kind of problems are going it to be. Study the "Study guide". If you want to learn take him.
He is Awesome and fun. he expains everything perfectly. HIGHLY RECOMMANDED!
A REPUBLICAN. Too many irrelevant side-track-jokes. Right to materials with many information to want to remember or learn. Test exam after every 2 chapters(I would have forgotten most of the previous chapter). Abstract math for the abstract mind. Wanted, Math Majors. If you're a "Jackass", RUN!
Only teacher for Linear Algebra or I wouldn't have taken him. I want to learn about Math and not about HIS life. I give him credit for little humor now and then but it's getting too much into the LEARNING part. He gets into the material but bearly give good explanations on the materials. Theorems!
He is awesome! His lecture is fun and interesting but u need to study extra hour at home.He treats every students as engineering major, so his take home quiz is always connected with physics n chem etc.(actually each quize isn't that hard tho!)u'll listen his personal story middle of lecture :]
Great teacher. Enjoy lectures.
Stupid tests- never cover variety of topics and too narrow. Stupid jokes and boring- will dull your brain like hell but somewhat helpful if he is really focus. test every two chapters - too long to remember the craps. Never take the class - find other one. It's too bad that's the only class offer.
He is very funny and very interesting. His test are hard but he tells every type of problem on them so it should be hard to study and there are no suprises, unless you never go to class. He is very clear and very helpful, especially in his office hours.
He knows a lot and he expects you to know as much as he does. He doesn't motivate you to study so if you don't learn, you fail and he won't care. His tests are relatively easy. When I took him, although I missed two quizzes, I still got A because I had A's for all of my tests.
Took him for Linear Algebra. Although I didn't like his style at first he grew on me. Great examples, very good at explaining complex ideas. He's a die-hard republican and leaves nothing at the door so if you can't handle differing points of view stay away. Highly recommended.
overall he gives good explanations. He is a REPUBLICAN. Some of his jokes are crazy. His final exams are killers [atleast for math 400].
GREAT TEACHER
Rosenberger ROCKS! I don't even mind that he's a Stinking Republican. By far the best math teacher I have ever had. He is extremely approachable and always willing to help you if you are willing to help yourself.
interesting lectures, very discriptive and helpful
Good teacher. Very approachable; tells a lot of funny stories. Has reasonable expectations and gives practical advice. Take him if at all possible--especially if you're a republican.
I really liked this teacher, he makes math fun. He has his own unique way of teaching, but try to stay with him and the study guides and you will easily pass. He does not try to make math majors out of us. Plus, he really is hilarious and hot.
Randy is a good teacher.....the lower division math he teaches is pretty simple as long as you do most of the homework....He is harder on higher level math's but for this class he is very fair. Overall he is a decent teacher to take.
MR R IS VERY NICE AND VERY VERY SMART HE EXPLAINS THINGS VERY CLEARLY AND ALWAYS HAS A FUNNY STORY TO TELL
He is one of the nicest instructors I have ever taken for a Math course. He hates to see students fail in his class. Not many students dropped his class or receive a failing grade. He gives you a study guide of what's going to be on the test a week before the test!
He is not helpful. He spends half of the time to talk about his family and his daughter who does math like a machine (but not understanding math). All I can remember now is not math but his family: He/Japanese born in U.S. Mom born in Canada. Grandpa in Oregon. Wife/realtor makes more money than him
he grows on you. I didn't like him at first, but his good mood is something that can always brighten your day, especially when he talks about republicans and his family. Very smart man, and is considerate of students.
Take this class if you are more of a self-learner type. I totally didn't understand his lecture very well.
Starts math problem then goes off w/his stories for about 10 min on his family/life/poilitics then comes back to finish the problem when the whole class has forgotten what he was talking about. Very random n hard to understand! Laugh during lec, cry during test. May pass if you do all the HW but very difficult to get an A unless you're a math geek.
Great teacher. Loved jokes
good teacher. funny and likes to tell jokes in class. explains problems pretty clearly, but goes off topic A LOT. would have given him a 5 in clarity and helpfulness if he didnt go off topic so much. but good teacher overall.
very good teacher
He is an awesome teacher. I have never been able to learn math as easy as I did in his class.
I found his class hard to follow. He talks and talks and talks and talks. Very distracting.
Can go off topic during class, but he answers ALL of your questions in class (sometimes it cuts into his regular lecture), and makes it pretty clear what will be on the exams. I had him for two classes and highly recommend.

Very entertaining. But he goes into his personal life in class a bit too much. He told stories about his friends who had misscarriages constantly. Funny though. Always wore the birkenstocks.
The greatest teachesr alive!! He is not an easy teacher [when it comes to finals] but, he makes a 2 1/2 hour class very fun!! I highly recomend him!!
I never knew I could understand math! I find myself wishing he taught the rest of my math requirements! He's funny and helpful. He is tough, but will show shortcuts and lets you use your calculator "because in the big scheme of things you will be using a calculator" and he's right! Thanks Randy!
Man, this teacher is so cool but he talks a lot. Going to his class is like going to a comedy show. He is funny though, I like him but I would not take his class EVER! Take mr. wong or mr. Phillips instead.
This guy is HILARIOUS! I have never laughed out loud so many times as I did in his class. Yeah he does get a little too off topic sometimes but at least it's entertaining. He makes math managable, not this huge mystery that only the "smart ones" can understand. Highly recommended!
HE IS GREAT TEACHER TO TAKE IF YOU WANT TO LEARN SOMETHING. HIS CLASS IS NOT BORING AT ALL AND HE IS A GREAT TEACHER TO HAVE AND I WOULD TAKE HIM OVER AGAIN IF I NEED TO.
He is awesome. He use a lot of funny ways to explain math problems.
IF YOUR STUPID TAKE THIS CLASS, YOU'LL BE THE SMARTEST PERSON IN IT...INCLUDING THE TEACHER
Randy! Three reasons I like him/his class: HILARIOUS, reasonable with you if you are atleast making a serious attempt to pass the class, and EXTREMELY flexible. Two reasons I didn't like his class: as a previous math class A student, stats was kind of hard to understand and sometimes he talked too much offtopic that I was a bit lost. You decide!
Great teacher. I'm not a "math person" but he explained stats in a way I finally understood. He is funny, helpful and approachable. Tells lots of stories but it is entertaining, especially in an almost 2 hr class! You won't be bored.
I don't care at all for his teaching style. He's unorganized, and very unclear. Yes, he is funny, but I'm at school to learn. I felt like I was teaching my self ,because he was always two assignments behind.
I thought he was really good at first when I passed Math 120 with a B with him. Now in Stats 300 it doesnt seem that way. Goes of the topic many times during class talking about politics and his family which makes it very hard to follow. Grades Fairly, take him if your really good in Stats, but in my opinion I would definitly take prof. sellers!
Your basically on your own in this class ( more of a teach stats to yourself class). Very hard to follow, since he gets off topic very continously. Doesnt give any reviews or study guides before exams. Grades easy though! And there's take home quizzes at the end of the week. Would I take him again? No way, im taking sellers this fall semester!
His class is hard, he's funny and you laugh like everyday, but your going to have to teach yourself. If you like stats and your good at it I would recomend him, if not I totaly wouldn't even think of taking him.
the first day of class you might think he's a little weird because he talks about a whole bunch of things, but he's very nice and will help you whenever you need it. He really wants his students to do well. I would definitely recommend taking him!
He is sooo funny, and he hands out study guides b4 every test that are almost exactly the same as the test!! No homework, unless you want practice for yourself. He drops tests 2 at least get you a C in the class as long as you pass his final. He is very helpful you if you go to him. About 98% of the class sticks it out.
Very understanding teacher, especially with tardies. My class was at 7 AM and so he wasn't that picky about tardies. He never collects HW and gives practice tests right before a real test so you know EXACTLY what you are tested on(no surprises). Oh, and did I mention he is very funny! Loves to talk about history. He could even be a history teacher
Just took the hardest final in the world. He is very helpful but expects alot from you. He does help with review sheet. Lots of review. He does teach good.
I have to agree with the person who made the last comment. His final was very very hard. 25 questions in 2 hours is not enough time!! He's a good teacher though....tends to go off subject sometimes. Study sheets are very helpful for exams & be prepared to take notes. Just know the material and study & you'll be fine.
Great teache. Just come to the lectures and u will pass. He makes a lot of funny jokes. He relates math to todays world, which is very helpful. Take him because I am sure that u will pass!!!
GREAT PROFESSOR! Takes time to help students, encourages them, and tries to get them to not take life so seriously. Is always willing to talk and will talk straight to you. Encorporates stories into his teaching style so as to make it more apicable and memorable to the material. Hard but worth the class time. Again, GREAT PROFESSOR
The class is really easy and the teacher is really nice. He is funny and the exams are not hard as long as you do all the required homework and you go to class to receive the quizzes (which are take home). He talks alot about politics, his kids, soda, and random stuff- hes a talker. I do reccomend this class- easy a.
I hated his teaching style for business math. He would have students do homework out of chapter 2, but would lecture on chapter 4 in the math book. Bouncing around back and forth made me frustrated. So I dropped his class before I could get a bad grade.
He is a great teacher. Always happy and willing to help. You must do your work or you will get behind. He gives lots of good examples. This class is really early in the morning, but he tells us jokes and by the time class is over we covered alot. I'm really starting to get why we study math.
I cannot stand his teaching style, and he is completely, rediculously unclear in every aspect of instruction. Class is constantly and consistently off-topic, there is no regular homework, he relies almost exculsively on the textbook and, while obviously gifted in math, lacks any communicative ability with other members of the species. God help you
i took business math with randy and he is a great teacher. he goes off on a lot of tangents but thats what makes the class so fun. the one thing about math and me is that i need to know how im gonna use it in real applications and he tell you exactly that. he is very helpful and goes at YOUR pace (and somehow he still covers all the material).
Fun class, but is sometimes unclear on things. I didn't go to class everyday and I should have.
Great teacher. He lectures well, but you must attend class or you will get lost. If you get lost he does not have any sympathy for you. His handouts are fantastic. He provided his notes for almost every class. Only draw back is that his test are hard, but he does grade fairly. NO extra credit. I recommend him still.
This class takes a lot of discipline. A lot of the HW is voluntary. He provides good review sheets and gave a ton of time to do the final. Probably one of the harder stats professors but he's hilarious!
I took his class at 6:30am last semester and i went to class everyday. He has a really confusing personality but he's fun overall. He gave study guides and reviews before every test/quiz and homework isn't mandatory
If you absolutely hate math like i did, take Rosenburger. He tells jokes and talks about his personal life which makes the days go faster. He does not require hw, but of course you should do it anyway. He also gives study guides and he does a review before every test, which is very helpful. It's a hard class, but he made it enjoyable.
Entertaining. Wants you to pass. Get to know him, ask for help, and you will do just fine.
Rosenberger's class is a lot of laughs; he makes fun of himseslf all the time. He is extremely helpful / available during his office hours. His expectations are clear and his test review sheets outline exactly what you need to know.
He's the best Math professor I've ever had. He's a applied Math. I like his jokes include good advice. Everybody enjoyed his class. He loves teaching. I'll take him again if he teaches Culculus. He's cool!!!
He is a funny guy! You can't stop laugh at him all the time! He is not super hard, not super easy too.
He's a super cool teacher. He's really funny and tells stories while he waits for people to catch up while writing notes. I've heard that stats is hard but he gives helpful review sheets that he takes a whole class to go over. These review sheets are almost identical to the exams. Go to class because he probably knows your name!
I agree with the other comments. He makes learning fun. He is alittle too right sometimes for me. A republican. But I would take him again. I have learned alot about hypothesis testing.
Easily one of the best professors that ive ever had. He really makes learning math FUN. (something which I never thought possible) He always tells side stories during class, which somehow finds ways to correspond with exactly what he's teaching about. You may not agree with his views on some things, but it shouldnt matter. He's AMAZING!!
He is a very nice and interesting teacher, but the class itself was tough. You need to do a lot of reading and studying in order to pass the class. His tests were not easy. Just make sure you study hard and you will do fine.
If you are used to video games this guy will keep you interested in math. His lectures are like Grand Theft Auto. A little bit of driving then some excitement. He helps you learn like the real world, you will not sleep in his class.
great teacher and very easy on grading. gives partial credit even if you show little work thats not even correct i never study for the test until 1hr b4 the test i passed 3 exams out of 5 and still manage to pass class w/ a c i didnt do all the assigned hw turned in some hw and take home quizes i suggest u to take him if you want to pass math 120
I took him at 6 in the morning and never once did I fall asleep! He keeps you not only awake but also entertained! He loves his family and speaks of them often and highly! I am taking him again for Stats 300!!!
im not good in numbers but this guy really helped me. i still could believed it that i aced his class. just do the homeworks & ask questions if you have any. he will help you if you just go to his office hours. the project is easy, just applications on the things that he discussed in the class. i would highly recommend him.
This class is easy if you pay attention in class. rosenberger is one of the few teachers who allow you to use a graphing calculator on the tests. So as long as you know how to use your TI-83 this class is an easy A. take this prof you wont regret it.
Rosenberger knows how to teach math. He's great once you learn to filter out his irrelevant right-wing political rants. Attend the lectures and do the practice problems and you'll do well on the tests.
While his off-topic discussions are a little too much sometimes, I think it's his tactic to calm down the nervous people overwhelmed by the difficult subject. All in all, he's a great teacher and I'd recommend him.
rosenberger is an awesome teacher!! homework and take home quizzes are a must!! the homework are easy if you listen in class and take notes & he's willing to answer ALL questions, even go over homework before you turn it in. the prof has a good humor. always cracking jokes to keep the students interested. definintly recommended
I made the mistake of taking this class online. I found him to be a less than satisfactory online professor. However, in one-on-one interactions with him during tests he was very helpful and i learned more in talking with him for 5 mins before a test than i did during an entire semester. Wouldn't recommend for online class but probably for in-class
he is a republican who makes sure to tell you EVERYDAY. He refuses to answer questions effectively and assumes you should know the answer.
very irritating. would never take him again.
Prof R is really pretty cool
I can not understand how anyone would ever rate him well. He barely even lectures on math. I ended up knowing way too much about his personal life and it was difficult to focus on the subject. He could not shut up about his personal life story. It was impossible to focus.
This teacher is so awesome! He may heve alot of bad reviews but he is still good. If a student is libral minded he or she might not want to take his class. but this man can teach he will give the class a outline for the final for each problem and go over final. i had him for computer assiant math 100 were he did not teach he just helped each stude
rosenburge is a the best stats professor ever. if u do ur hw and come to class its easy to pass. he gives review sheets before every exam and goes over it throughly before the exam and for those who cant afford the book he prints out notes he does sway off topic alot but other than that i highly recommend him
He is an awsome teacher, and very healpful. Do the homework, and show up to class and you will pass. goes over everything thourghly(ie. homework, exam review, and each chap). At times he goes off topic, but it doesnt matter when you have a class early morning his jokes and stories keep you awake.
Randy Rosenberger is an okay guy but to know him is to LOVE him. Try to calling your Cousins once in awhile. I hope all your Math students know like I do. William Sanchez United States Marines
DO NOT take in the Summer if you plan on taking any other units. I've never dropped a class and I have a 3.5 GPA, but I dropped this one! He is a great teacher, but he can't fully cover the sections in class so you have to read/study about 6hrs/day on your own. Worst complaint: You're given 10 minutes for quizzes that should really take 20 minutes!
Rosenberger Is one of the best teachers I ever had! Although, his classes are difficult he is very clear and direct with what is needed in the class and what is expected of us, his students. I've heard bad things about the way he teaches and I have to highly disagree with those mentalities.
Entertaining. Tells stories when he thinks the class isn't understanding so the material can sink in. Grades very fairly, grades for effort on tests. (doesn't only look at the answer like some other professors) 10 min multi choice quizzes w/ 10 Q's a negative. (should be longer) Also, no extra credit. Gives reviews for tests. Good teacher!
Awesome teacher really helps
This class is fairly hard, especially since I took it over the summer so it's really intense. Rosenburger is REALLY funny he cracks a lot of jokes, I think to balance the dryness of the material. He will explain stuff in class but absolutely will not hold your hand, he expects his students to be self-reliant. I will definitely take him again.
Homework was assigned but not recorded. Tests are very similar to practice test that he gives you the day prior! Keeps you the entire class! Overall great teacher...
This cat was awesome. If your an idiot who wants to succeed but only play video games this is the professor for you. Not that much hassle. He gives like 12 quizes all which are take home. He give homework, they are worth 5 pts each. test are easy if you go over study guide which he goes over with you. engaging and keeps you interested.
Not a hard class. He prepares you very well. Gives practice tests before EVERY test and goes over them, and the tests are almost identical to the practice tests. Only collects 1 section of each chapter for homework. All quizzes are Take-home. It can't get any easier than that. AND HE'S FUNNY!!!
Funny funny funny! Love this professor. I failed Math120 with another professor and decided to take his class. I got an A with Randy, and a D with Sanchez. Love this professor and he has a great character. Quizzes are take home, tests are easy (same as test reviews). What more can you ask for. TAKE THIS PROFESSOR!!!!!
I didn't like this professor. I got an A+ with Sanchez, but I almost failed this class because he's always telling jokes and wasting time, so he doesn't explain the material. He doesn't care about attendance. If you want to waste your time, take it!
Review materials for exams are missing explanations and include errors. Provides review material and assignments too late for effective preparation. Does not answer email questions in a timely manner. Worst SCC professor I've had.
Very good teacher.
Great experince doing online math with this teacher. I would definatly take other classes from him
If this this is your first time taking Calculus, take another teacher. As he lectures, he tells funny stories to lighten up the mood. Quizzes are take home and collected the following week. If you don't do the homework, you will not do well on tests. His tests come from a collab of other teachers; he does not write them. Study hard and good luck!
Horrible, Horrible, Horrible professor. Tells WAY too many jokes. A classic fake. Says he drops lowest test grade but doesnt. Theres a reason why 3/4 of the class dropped. Hes just like his idol. Dont take him, you will learn nothing. My stats class has nothing to do with what hes taught me throughout his course. You have been warned.
Took his online class. EXTREMELY DIFFICULT. You HAVE to learn this on your own unless you have a lot of time on your hands to sit in his office and ask questions. Doesn't respond well to your e-mails. Stuff I learned online wasn't even on the test. NOT RECOMMENDED!
He is FUNNY! EASY! VERY CLEAR! just turn in weekly quiz (most are 10 pts each--not hard or you can get help, he also post the answers on D2L later too), Has printed notes (EASY for the EYES) Does not like to trick the students. HW not mandatory. BUT Recommended!! I didn't do most of it because I got lazy but passed w/ a B. TAKE HIM! SHOW UP fo CLAS
i really enjoed this class. Even though the class started at 630 two days a week i never dreaded showing up and learning... you can see how much passion he has in teaching and making sure his student learn and excel to where ever they plan on going.
Ok, I hate math & this class didn't make me like it anymore than I did. He's a nice guy, but he seriously talks and jokes around way too much! It's was way too easy for me to tune out and just forget to tune back in agian. I passed by some sort of miracle but I seriously could not focus in his class. Had to get an outside tutor.
horrible avoid him avoid him at all cost
I love this guy. We really clicked.
HIS HYBRID CLASS IS AWESOME... JUST DO THE HOMEWORK SHOW UP AND TRY YOUR BEST FOR THE TEST YOU'LL BE OK... REALLY FUNNY GUY... TAKE HIM! HE IS WILLING TO HELP YOU IF YOU NEED HELP...
This teacher is funny! Took the hybrid class, do the homework and practice for the test and you will definetly pass the class. He goes the extra mile to help students, really a nice professor.
I PASSED MATH 120 AFTER TAKING THIS CLASS! i had taken math 120 four times before i got rosenberger! awesome teacher. can joke around a lot but he is crystal clear in how he explains things!! if u are awful in math like i am take him! he gives review sheets for every test and they are just like the real test! and he sometimes writes the formulas!
Great teacher, attendance mandatory, very helpful. Didn't use the book but I took a hybrid class so an online program was used. Spends a bit of time telling stories and trying to explain and relate math to other stuff though. But overall a great prof
Very helpful and clear. His tests are VERY straightforward and he does not throw any surprises at you. Do the homework (understand it as well) and you will do well in the class. This is the only teacher that makes me want to come to a math class and not obsess over the clock the entire time.
FUNNY teacher. He always is clear. Whatever is on the practice test is almost the same order as the real test. Hybrid is easy. You dont have to buy the book. 3 tests, Homework, and The final. Each 20% of your grade. So easy. Loved his class. TAKE HIM!!! :]
I took his online class and It wasnt hard at all. He gives us four exams throughout the semester. There are only 20 questions! His study guides are extrememly helpful. I will be taking his 120 class next semester.
Funny teacher but talks too much about his personal life but interesting at the same. Eventhough i disagree a lot on what he believes in, he's cool. lol
Took an on-line class and it was extremely convenient. Rosenberger made it crystal clear on what he was going to test you on. A study guide is provided for each exam, including the final. 20% across the board; if this isn't fare then tell me what is. Great instructor
Amazing teacher! Hes the best math teacher ive ever had. Really intresting and outgoing ecspecially in the early morning! Would definatley take him again someday...
He is a unique math teacher, does have a tendency to talk a lot and make jokes but is consistent in completing lesson plans, NO quizes! :) very accurate reviews for tests and FINAL. He is extremly helpful and funny. Take him not phillips...
Great teacher wish he was teaching trig during the summer
His the best Math teacher even if you don't like Math you will learn a lot. His helpful and he will answer all your questions.
Great teacher, but definitely a hard class. I took it online, and there was a lot of homework, but the video lectures helped tremendously. Also, he posted sample exams prior to every exam as review, and so you know what to expect. No tricks. Although he was a great teacher if you take it online you better be prepared to be committed & self-taught.
he is a nice guy, and funny. BUT he talks WAY too much. it makes it really hard to follow along when he is telling random stories about his family and sports in between explaining math problems. I ended up with a D, math is super hard for me as it is-so his talking made it impossible to learn-if u are already good at math-TAKE him. otherwise-DONT.
He is very clear with what is expected. Online could be tricky because you can't just raise your hand with a question but between his videos and the videos on mymathlab I was able to do well. He provides sample tests that have the exact order and problem type as the test so studying was efficient. I did not buy the entire book, just .
Probably the best math professor on campus. He keeps you entertained with his sense of humor and is very helpful to those who need it! No tricks or surprises on tests and he prepares you for them well-small amount of homework too! Take him!
Absolutely best math teacher. Each subject is explained, demonstrated, practiced, reviewed; plus homework and quizzes. There's an online alternative lecture. Uses 15-second off-subject comments to keep students' attention & to share life wisdom. Older versions of text ok but Mathlab may be required. Don't fall behind by missing class!
Took his online class. Weekly HW and four exams total. Do yourself a favor and master the sample test and the test review for each exam and you will do awesome as the exams are nearly identical to those. As for a professor, he is awesome! I can tell he really wants you to succeed and pass the class. Highly recommended!
Great teacher esp if you struggle with math. Very helpful and no surprises as exams and finals are straight from book and even gives you samples. Awesome teacher highly recommend
Great teacher esp if you struggle with math. Very helpful and no surprises as exams and finals are straight from book and even gives you samples. Awesome teacher highly recommend him because you will actually learn math
20 question exams. Practice sample exams and passing will be a breeze.. If you're good at teaching yourself, this online class will be perfect.
Randy was a nice guy, but not a very good instructor. I took his class online. He offered next to no help, and when it came to problems in the book we had to do for homework, "you will know if you're wrong or right." That I don't see as very good instruction. Don't take if you want a passing grade.
BEST MATH TEACHER! took his class for the fall semester (hybrid class). 12 problems for each hw section (online). gives review sheet which are similar to the problems on the test. Only 20 problems on all tests including the Final. Willing to answer questions if you don't understand and is very helpful. takes this professor!
Cool guy!
He was all right. Has a funny personality, but may come off as condescending to some. Daily 'quizzes' were assigned with 1-2 easy problems. Exams were generally easy. Be careful though; his leniency makes slacking off in this class VERY tempting. Responsible/smart students will excel with him.
Great teacher,he makes class entertaining. I took a hybrid class which the online homework was very tedious, but it helps you learn. Unlimited tries so I got 100's on most hwk. Do the sample tests if he provides one, its nearly similar to the test! Pay attention and study there's no way you will fail if you put in the hours.
Gave us very helpful handouts each lesson. The practice tests/study guides he gives before each exam are great.
Randy is an amazing professor!!! I took him for 100 and 120 online and passing was a brezze. I am not good at math and even have a disability. you have to be a straight screw off who doesnt do anywork in order to not pass his class. His practice test are almost identical to his test. Best techer I have had so far!!!
The homework is fair. Mymathlab teaches you how to do it, if you are having problems. Homework is at your own pace. Usually takes me 2 hours to finish even tho there are 12 questions. Gives out study guides which is a good thing. The test to me are pretty tough. I wouldn't take an online class again, rather learn in class instead of on a computer.
This professor is a really great professor I will take him again. Really helpful, funny, and straight forward with everything. Glad I took him for math 123 and going to take him again for Math120
Extremely funny and witty, made the entire class laugh multiple times each day. Tests were straight forward, if you did the homework and study guide he posts on D2L, then you'll be fine. He does grade hard on exams though because he makes them easy. He's very clear on what he expects from his students for an A, would definitely take him again.
Hilarious guy, usually pretty clear. he likes to jump around in topics to make logical connections for students, but this makes the notes cumbersome to look back at for a specific example. Tests are about average difficulty or slightly above, but he tells you almost exactly what to expect so they end up being pretty strait forward.
I just took online class. You have to do homework exercises every week and take exams every month. If you study, you'd be fine. He is my one of the favorite professors. I definitely would take his another class again.
This guy loves his wife. He mentions her a lot .. Almost every lecture. Good , funny professor who is fair. His wife must be a lucky lady. Highly recommended. You will learn a lot in a fun way..
the best professor at Sacramento City College. i took him for DE and Calculus 3. i m glade we still have good professors as professor Rosenberger. The subject for calculus 3 is hard if you don't understand but Professor Rosenberger is super fair and he is not trick with his test. Good luck
Professor Rosenberger is absolutely amazing! I couldn't have asked for a better professor. I took Math 120 online, and we take our test in class on Saturdays. And if you can't make it he will work with you. He lays out his expectations and it is as clear what you need. Do your homework and study! He is very approachable, and easy to talk to.
Great lecturer on very difficult subject. Gives straightforward tests. Doesn't try challenge you. Before tests he will drop strong hints to exactly what they contain. Revels in being politically incorrect, trolling democrats, so avoid if you're sensitive to that. I let it slide because he's funny, playing a character. Super mellow outside of class.
Heres the deal. i suck at math. i have dropped 2 math teachers because they were so boring that i lost interest and started daydreaming in class. this dude right here keeps you interested and uses his own personal life stories to teach. i am looking forward to taking him for math124 next semester and will review again. hopefully i pass.
Rosenberger is caring and humorous. I had his online class which was great if you are a self-learner. The three tests we took were short, he provided a lot of time on tests, and gave back grades THAT NIGHT. Great professor, he seems to really care about students if they are having a hard time. If you are doing good, he will let you do your thing!
Great guy, wish I could have took him for math 120. Actually made math make sense to me.
Good guy with a great sense of humor. He doesn't try to trick you on tests, but his class also isn't easy. You need to work hard and put time in, as it should be. Don't fall behind in this class, it is very difficult to catch up. Lectures were difficult to follow, he often got off subject and made it harder to learn.
Professor Rosenberger is by far thee best professor I've ever had. Math has always been my weakest subject and I used to dread having to take it, but he actually makes it enjoyable. I highly recommend taking him because he genuinely wants you to succeed and do well in his course. Side-note: He's a hoot! :)
Professor Rosenberger is amazing, he teaches amazing lectures and is very clear on what he is teaching. Tells stories while he is lecturing and is hilarious all the time. Is there the whole time for his office hours and wants us to succeed. I would take him again if I could.
I withdrew math 120 because of how repetitive it was and hard it was to keep up. But I took Rosenberger's HYBRID class and youd expect it to be harder but man it was the easiest math class ive had yet. Teaches well, doesn't throw curveballs on tests, good sense of humor while teaching. BUT!!! He will not bump your grade up even 0.01%! Or so he says
OMG... This guy is freakin' amazing. At first I was like what the heck did I get myself into, but after the first week, I was like where has he been all of my life. I wish I had him as a Math Teacher when I was in middle/high school. He makes Math palatable. He is superb, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Him.. I wish he was teaching states in Fall 2016.
I have taken Professor Randy Rosenberger 3 semesters in a row and if I could take him again I honestly would. He is very clear as to what he would put on the exams and what he will be testing you on. He makes the material very clear and makes it look so easy as well. He does talk about different things during lecture but I find it very funny!!
I failed 2 math classes before I took Professor Rosenberger. He is the best math teacher. His lectures are very easy to listen and understand. Lots of homework, but if you do it you get credit for it and you will do well on the test.
Very tough class but Prof. Rosenberger makes it as easy and comprehendible as possible. Pay attention and make sure to do your homework! Oh and ask ALOT of questions!
I've never had a professor explain things as clearly as he did! He's amazing!!!
He is really good at explaining the content and making sure that everyone is getting it. If you don't get it just let him know and he will explain it differently. You do have to read the book and do the homework to understand everything, but It's calculus, its not easy. He sticks to the syllabus and grades very fair. He is one of the best!
I have never been very talented with math, and Professor Rosenberger helped me overcome this. He is a very talented teacher, and his lectures are not only informative, but hilarious. Show up and do the homework, you will get a good grade.
He is an awesome professor. You would not regret if you take him.
He goes on a lot of tangents in lectures. I personally did not mind it, but a lot of my classmates could not focus because of the way he lectures. A lot of what his lectures did not make sense to me. This was his first time teaching Trig is YEARS, so he did not teach it very well. Disappointed. His exams are extremely fair and so is his grading.
Very nice guy, and he knows a lot about math and math history. My big problem with the class is that he frequently goes off on long tangents in his lectures. This makes it hard to get mentally on track when he jumps back to the topic at hand. If you take him, just make sure to read ahead of time, ask lots of questions, and go to office hours.
Rosenberger is by far the best math professor ever! He provides you with printed notes during every lecture. Those same notes are also found online with videos explaining each problem. All he cares about is his students succeeding. His practice tests online are exactly like the exams. He provide videos of every lesson online.
Rosenberger was one of the best professors I took. He explained everything very clearly and did the same questions as the exam on the board. There were 4 exams that are worth 90% of your grade, he grades very easily and gives you points as long as you show work and the other 10% is the online homework. 10/10 would recommend, super funny and caring
Randy is a great professor. He is the funniest teacher I have ever had and makes his lectures fun. He gives great study guides for the tests. As long as you study and do homework you will get an A easily.
I didn't like him at first, but he ended up being great. Sometimes his lectures can be slightly unclear, but he'll answer any questions you have. He's also very willing to compromise and it seems like he does his best to make sure people have a good chance of passing. I would take him again.
He doesnt attend office hours or check his email. There is no way to contact him unless during the lecture. His class is lecture heavy but his lectures suck. He spends like twenty minutes talking about something irrelevant. He is so vague and you dont have any reinforced understanding. He simply doesnt care. You basically learn by yourself.
Such a good teacher. Sometimes gets off task with his lectures into family stuff but he is so humerous and usually finds a way to tie it into what he is teaching. Really cares about his students. I took the hybrid class which is half online but the online hw is hard! He is such a nice guy
This professor will definitely make you work for the grade you deserve. He is lenient on grading tests however don't rely on his generosity to pass the course. It is easy to slack off in his class because he likes to go off on tangents, however make sure you do the homework and write down all of the examples he goes over in class.
This is not an easy professor. There is no extra credit and there are no curves. However, he's an easy grader and the homework isn't bad. He asks fair questions on tests that can be easily prepared for. His lectures are fantastic, even if he goes off topic pretty often. He's a very caring person. I wish I could take him again.
Overall, he's an ok prof. His tests are very fair and similar to the hw/handouts he gives. Lectures are a bit difficult to follow, not much explanations involved with the examples he does in class. Mostly had to learn the material using YT videos and the internet. Shares a lot of stories about his family.
I took Math 120 a few semesters back with Professor Rosenberger. I liked his class very much. Very easy to follow the lectures. Listen to the lectures and the homework assignments will be easy for you. If you are getting behind on your homework send him a message - he will extend the due date for your homework and give you a full credit for it.
LOVED HIM. He is the nicest teacher I have ever had. The online class was the easist math class ever. Gives lots of practice before exams and there are few of those. Never had to take an online quiz just do the 12 questions he assigns takes maybe 30 min and you're done for the day. He is just the best. Take him.
Took him over summer. His lectures are all over the place. he does not clearly label on the whiteboard. Will often talk about his family in the middle of lecture, which makes it confusing. Promotes learning the process only, not whats actually happening. His exams are fair because he will tell you what topics would be tested. Prepare to self study.
ITS A YES FROM ME. He is very helpful when it comes to teaching. He does not make you feel stupid for asking questions and is very helpful. He gives clear instructions and is super hilarious so you won't feel tense. You MUST DO YOUR WORK. Although he is laid back, attendance is MANDATORY. SUPER HELPFUL. Would definitely take again.
Took the online class! It is easy if you put work into self teaching yourself. If you finish the problems assigned during class, usually around 20 questions, no homework. Tests were easy because his reviews were really straightforward, but do study as well. No quizzes was a bonus! Would definitely take again!
I took his Math 120 hybrid online/ in class and he was amazing! We took 4 big tests and had homework every night but there were only about 12 problems per section. The homework was online but he gave us a packet of notes each day for a new section. He was funny and referenced the problems to real life examples. Very engaging.
His class is just an online class but showing up to class instead. During tests/exam he'll review the test/exam the day before you take it. He'll mark you present if late and you may leave after you finished with your work (must let him know before. Overall, he's a chill professor and he'll help you if you don't understand the materials.
Rosenberger is talkative, even in computer assisted 120. As long as you're okay with tangets and occasionally awkward jokes, he's a very straight forward and fair professor. As long as you listen to what he tells you and don't miss a ton of class, you're set.
I took him for a hybrid class where we go in to use computers. He is a very good teacher and is great at explaining and doing problems on the board. He is great at helping for us to know everything on the test. Would take him again in a heartbeat. He cares about his students a lot.
Professor Rosenberger is so funny and nice. I really enjoyed this class because it was just the right pace for me, not too fast and not too slow. I love that he also shows you different ways to solve math problems. I would recommend him.
I had a B, I dropped him. I dont need this class for my major but was taking it for fun. IMO he shouldnt teach a higher math class during the summer. Goes off topic often, does not have office hours, and what made me drop was he told me "I dont answer questions." I didn't feel like learning from youtube and being stressed for a class I didnt need.
Gets side tracked A LOT and will ramble about everything that has nothing to do with math which makes his lectures hard to follow. If I didnt have a great math 100 teacher I would have struggled because he rambles so much about random things. However he is very understanding and willing to help in office hours. Hw is online. Try and youll pass
I really enjoyed taking his class. He's funny and very talkative. He jokes around a lot but he also knows how to teach very well. Some people might not like that he's that way but I think it made the class a lot more fun and interesting!
Professor Rosenberger doesnt reply to emails and stopped being the professor of this class before the first test. It didnt matter though because all the work was online through the book with no additional input or guidance from professor Rosenberger. This is a self taught class.
Lectures are full of real-world examples and content. He likes to tell stories which I found helpful to give me time to take good notes and write examples from the board. As long as you are not a huge cheater or slacker, passing should be easy.
Professor Rosenberger is easy-going, doesn't make things difficult. He stops to explain things. He tells stories. He's approachable. I am taking his class currently. His methods are consistent and as long as you come to class, ask questions, and take good notes, you should do well. He doesn't collect homework and drops the bottom quizzes.
Professor Randy Rosenberger is hands down the best math professor I've had. Show up to class, takes notes and you will pass. He talks about his high pass ratings when the semester first starts, and it's true. He is a really good teacher. If you aren't the best at math, take Professor Rosenberger.
Great calc2 prof. His lectures are easy to follow and he will slow down for the class if needed. Also readily available through office hours and email. Optional hw and only grades 4 tests + a final. He is quite gracious with grading and gives lots of partial credit. If you know the method/equations he wont mark you for bad numbers. HeAllowGraphCalc
First off, he was 10-15 min late to every class. Second, he would talk about his personal life for 20 min straight sometimes. Harder math class than stats and he waisted so much time in class I would have to raise my hand and ask a dumb question just to get him back on topic. I really liked him as a person tho and he was really funny sometimes...
Great math teacher. Strongly recommend him. His lectures are on point and his way of teaching really was awesome and i understood very easily. Cant say enough good things about his teaching honestly.
Expect him to be completely hands off. You have to teach yourself. When asking him a question by email, the response is rude. He says he posted a test about 2-4 days before it was due, but it never shows up until last minute. Video lectures he puts out are half-cooked. Online Hw is full of mistakes & don't expect the "help me solve this" to help.
Hard to rate him since I'm taking his class during the pandemic. I've never talked to him, and all of the assignments are through a website. I'm not willing to give him a bad rating seeing as how everyone is still trying to figure out how to do school strictly online. I might consider taking his class again when things are back to normal.
So far the class is easy enough and this is coming after a 7 year hiatus from math. Like he says, he's a "meat and potatoes" kind of guy, his lectures are basically problems relating to the section along with a definition/theorem here and there. He gives us a 3 hour window to download, take, and send in the tests. Super nice on partialcreditgrading
Randy give clear instruction during his lectures , the homework is online . He is very caring and understanding , when you message him online he responds back quickly , he really likes to work with his students due to the fact that there is a pandemic right now. I would take his class again , he was an awesome professor.
Please, if you are a STEM major, take this man. He teaches the way math was supposed to be taught: in clear, logical steps. 4 exams, each 25% of your grade. If you practice the lecture problems, you will pass, guaranteed.
I'm not the kind of student to ask a lot of questions during class, but since this was COVID semester, everything was on Zoom. I felt really comfortable asking questions, he was always very clear and would redo problems for people until they got them. Very patient. Homework was manageable. If you struggle in math like me, he's an amazing choice.
Provides the textbook pages for you, don't need to buy one. Stops for your questions and answers them really well. gives test grades on the weekend, also with the final grade. would highly recommend. the review is exactly like the test. goes over everything.
Professor Rosenberger was great. I was scared getting back into math, but he makes it very easy. He will go over a problem multiple times so we understand what's going on. He answers all questions and makes sure you understand what you're doing before the tests. Would recommend 100%.
I took his Math120 in Summer21. I was short term 8w. Professor Randy made it manageable work. Do your practices and you will doing great.
guy is the most patient math teacher I have ever had. some members of class were borderline not qualified to take the class, but he answered questions that ranged from "can you show us the answer again?" to "how did you get that minus?" with the same pleasant tone, and respectful responses. never overwhelmed, and always professional.
Great professor. He wants his students to pass and will go over many examples to ensure the student understands.
let me 1st say I have a learning disability so math has never been my strong point. Well until I took this teacher he explains in a way that you can understand and if you need extra help and you are serious he will make sure you pass. He can brag about his high pass rating for a reason he is a good teacher would highly recommend him.
Great prof. I didnt use the book. I just watch the lecture videos. He tells you how to do it on there. He provides the math hw problems & answers on canvas. You need to do it so you can pass the weekly quizzes. His lectures are long but detailed. The - is the material is pretty hard. The test is written out not multiple choice. Very organized class
Rosenberger is a great professor. His lectures were funny and engaging most of the time. He assigns homework that doesn't get graded so its up to you if you want to do them (you should). Grades were based on discussion posts (very simple discussions), quizzes, and tests. There was a textbook that you can buy but you really shouldn't need it.
HIGHLY recommend professor to those who are not good at stats/math. He is very patient and understanding. I like that he is very thorough and clear. If you attend lecture and take notes, you should have no problem getting an A.
He was doing ok at the beginning going by the book and then he just went and did whatever. He talks too much and gets off topic. Trying to reach out he would either take forever to reply back or not at all. And he would try to rush and fit everything into the lecture without properly explaining.
He explained everything quite well. There were quizzes for each lecture and there was 4 tests total, which make up most of your grade. Attend the lectures and pay attention, and you should do good.
he said he wasn't political but talked about politics in every lecture? still straightforward: 3Q quizzes per section/optional hw (more in depth than quizzes so use it as prep)/4 exams/easy 8 discussions/textbook free online/recorded but mandatory lectures. he doesn't hide anything so his review exams have the exact same format as real ones
His lectures were detailed and understandable. After lecture you have a 3 question multiple choice quiz. There were 3 long tests. Take good notes (open notes) you will do good. Amazing and really funny lectures. He made a hard topic enjoyable! Would take a class from this Professor again!! Very caring and helpful and explains a hard topic well.
Take this professor! He gives you everything you need to pass this class. I've never had a teacher who went so above and beyond to give everyone the chance to pass. You will only fail this class if you choose to not show up and not do any work. Great lectures, accessible office hours, and is always ready to help you out.
Professor Roesnberger is a great professor. I have had him as a professor in Math 120 and Stats 300. He really cares about his students learning and does his best to help us fully understand the material. He is great at teaching math and helping students to succeed.
I'm so glad I took Stats with Professor Rosenberger. He is very detail oriented and his lectures are very easy to follow. I was really nervous about taking stats since Math is not my strongest subject but he really helped me understand the concept of stats. Amazing professor!
15 min to 1hr 45 min lecture with 5 question quiz daily, 1 weekly discussion, 3 exams total. Slow at replying to emails, doesn't provide much helpful material besides the lecture; quizzes and exams are often more difficult than the practice problems from lectures. Textbook is incredibly unhelpful. However, he's lenient when it comes to deadlines.
He posted lectures everyday and sometimes very late and it ended up being stressful (he does extend the due date to make up for it). His quizzes had 5 problems each and only like 1 or 2 of the problems were covered within his lecture and the rest of them you have to go on a scavenger hunt to find. Tests are very similar to the daily lectures.
Slow to respond to emails, lecture usually didn't cover the material, had assignments due every day of the week but would often fail to post the assignments leading to students falling behind. I took this class over the summer and I do have to say that he was generally a nice guy and understanding but I didn't really learn anything from his class.
Professor Rosenberger is the best teacher I have EVER had. He walks us through daily lectures while explaining slowly and clearly how to solve a problem with visuals and real-life examples. He makes me smile and chuckle at least 5 times every lecture. I was terrified to take statistics but now I feel confident and really enjoy doing the work.
Lecture videos were lengthy and had so much homework, so I was a bit scared but lecture videos were very detailed and homework felt fair! I just don't like how quizzes are only a one try but make up 15% of your grade. There's four tests total that make up 80%, but review and content written on them are reasonable. Definitely recommend for anyone!
Prof. Rosenberger is a great professor. His lectures are a bit heavy, but everything that is taught are in the quizzes/exams. He would let the class know which problems will be on the test so that we focus and study more on those. He is a pretty funny guy, but sometimes steers away from the lectures and talks about politics which is not for me.
Terrible. Professional Yapper. Makes a hard subject (MATH) even harder. Maybe if he didn't yap, so much; people could actually learn. Because he clearly knows his stuff. But no, 70% yapping and 30% lecture. Unacceptable! Please respect my time. I don't come here to listen to your stories, I come here to learn.
Starts every class with a 30 minute story and talks about nonsense. Great guy and definitely knows the material, however he is very stuck on hammering in how he is not racist and loves telling stories of how students think that. Will take 20 minutes per question talking politics in between and will never stop talking about unrelated material.
Professor Rosenberger takes an incredibly difficult subject and makes it tangible for any kind of student. Is he talkative? Yes, but in the best way possible. His speeches in his lectures are filled with connections to the material we are learning. He is wonderful, couldn't reccomend him more!
This professor is amazing. I was so intimidated to take statistics, but Dr. Rosenberger made it so simple to understand. He creates a pacing schedule that manages the workload in an easy way. I actually enjoyed learning in this class, plus he is hilarious in his lectures. Take him !!!
There is a recommended textbook but you don't need it. 3 to 4 3-question quizzes a week and you get one chance. Homework questions and answers are posted but homework is not graded or turned in. Lectures are pre-recorded, clear, well laid out, and include many examples. 4 major exams including the final. He is very responsive to emails. Recommend!
Professor Rosenberger makes this difficult subject approachable. While the workload is heavy, his clear lectures and helpful tutoring resources like unstuckstudy ai make it manageable. Definitely take this class if you want to master statistics.
Very professional and understanding. You don't need to buy the textbook - don't make my mistake and waste your cash! If you have an emergency, he understands and lets you do your business. I recommend him if you don't get offended easily and want to learn quickly and well.
8-week synchronous/online. Professor Randy's philosophies pretty much changed my attitude for the rest of my academic career. "It doesn't come natural, but we can all do it". He provides lecture notes and only films the paper as he works the problems out with us, clearly and carefully. He is also available outside office hours and by email.
Professor Rosenberger by far has been my favorite professor. His lectures are straight to the point and he makes little jokes here and there which make the lectures better. If professor Rosenberger taught every single subject I would choose him. If you are debating between him and another professor, take professor Rosenberger.
I did poorly in math in highschool, taking this class with Prof. Rosenberger brought back my confidence in being able to do well in math classes. It was difficult relearning everything, but I worked hard and earned my grade. Do the homework, ask questions, rewatch lectures, and you'll do well. Weekly quiz, 1 test per chapter, 1 midterm & final.
He is the most understanding teacher ever. Don't be afraid to reach out. I loved his online course and would recommend to anyone needing to take the course. He's awesome
He is a good professor. If you had questions he did his best to answer all questions as quick as he could, especially if you emailed him. The quizzes also mattered for your grade but if you're doing well in class you can miss a few quizzes. For the online class he gave a couple of days to complete quizzes.
His lectures were always interesting, he always made sure his students had the supplies necessary to succeed in class. We had printed notes which we could highlight and fill in making it easier to follow along and understand topics. I think if you put in the work you should do great, he puts lecture videos which you can go back to.
If you take his synchronous class, expect to self-study, as his lectures *always* derail into political rants. His lack of critical thinking shows in his rigid textbook reliance, his anti-fact-checking stance, and his belief that Eisenhower is on the dime. If you want structured teaching, look elsewhere.
I won't lie, I wish he were a good teacher because it's fun to hear him yap. But that's all he does, he just yaps about politics or his ancestors. He gives videos to watch after class that help, but at that point, you teach yourself. Not a bad dude, just cannot stay on topic whatsoever, and doesn't have much structure.
This professor is great. You'll have to work for your grade, but he genuinely teaches the material. He has practice tests available before the actual test that are very similar. He only grades 4 tests, the 4th being a final. I got an A on every single one because of his lectures and the practice tests. HW is given but ungraded.
Great Professor. Super responsive and great at teaching the material. I highly recommend.
Bless this professors heart. SO caring and kind, I mixed up days of the final and he kindly set up a time for me to still take it. Workload is a bit heavy with mult quizzes a week and long lectures but it is manageable. He wants you to succeed, dont hesitate to reach out for questions. Such a genuine person and rlly interesting in his lectures.
Great teacher who really knows his stuff and wants you to succeed. Fair grading and prepares you well for his tests and exams. Has recordings of lectures on canvas to refresh your knowledge, with ungraded homework problems for practice. Talks WAY too much about religion/politics/woke, especially with MATH 70; detracts from his excellent teaching.
He is a good professor and wants to see his student pass his class. I think the hardest part of his class is the amount of stories he tells, I recommend watching in 2x as he talks a bit slow. Prepare to show every piece of work in assignments. Entertaining lectures for sure, but if on a time crunch start early on modules
great professor, just doesn't always answer emails until later. let me retake a lot when i needed to. super open and flexible. always gave good feedback on the finals and midterms.
I adore Prof Rosenberger. This was my third stats class, as I dropped my other 2 due to bad profs. He was super knowledgeable and great at explaining the material. I recommend starting the modules early, as there can be multiple sections in one week, and multiple hour long lectures. He also provides study guides for the M/F, I would take him again!
clear video lectures, great time frames for late work, easy to get the hang of schedule.
Professor Rosenberger is a sweet old man. Every Monday and Wednesday, there is a 20-question quiz and an hour-long lecture video. He does tend to ramble on random things in his lecture videos. A book is recommended but not required. His tests are 25 questions, and his midterm was 10 questions. He cares about your grade and wants you to pass.
Very nice and genuine person. His lectures are easy to follow and explain the content well. Quizzes and exams are reflective of the lectures, thus are very easy to prepare for. This was my 2nd time taking his class; 1st I dropped due to my job. I'm so glad I took him again, he's the best stats prof I've ever had.
Several weekly quizzes and a test every week. Seems like a lot but it's not that bad once you get into it. Beware that final and midterm are handwritten not multiple choice you will have to show your work so make sure you actually try to learn so you dont flop the 2 big tests. He is very nice and actually wants his students to learn and succeed
Overall, a great professor. Class structure is easy to follow and assignments are easy to complete. As long as you get your work done on time, you will succeed in this class. Keep in mind he can make a few mistakes when writing quizzes or posting lectures, but don't panic; he usually credits those questions back if you send him a quick email.
