I was referred to Dr. Wade from a friend that took her class in the 5-week summer session. He got an A and highly recommended to sign-up for her class. I'm really glad I was able to get into her class after they added an additional laboratory day due to the high demand.

Dr. Wade is a great professor that gives great lectures and notes. She explains everything very well and makes her class very interesting. I took her during Spring 03 and got an A. I highly recommend her class for those who'll be taking Micro.

Good teacher, I'm learning A LOT.BUT the tests are ridiculous. 80 Qs in 85 min, she expects you to remember EVERY detail. Qs are confusing and some have similar answers. I want to be a nurse, not a microbiolist, and learning all of this information is just painful if I get a C for not remembering every tiny detail (about hyperthermophiles for ex).

This is the best teacher I have ever had and I have taken classes at el camino and UCLA.She is very clear when she explains the material and makes learning fun by using props such as mr potato head for ex. Just study her notes and you should be fine,all questions are multiple choice.The lab is kind of tedious but not too bad. Overall, GREAT teacher

This class was VERY interesting...BUT....u have to STUDY in order to pass. I took this course twice,the first time, I dropped because I did bad on the exams because I studied last minute. Second time,I passed because I studied and never procrastinated.Her exams are a bit tricky but as long as you study good,u should manage to pass.

I love Dr. Wade! She's so enthusiastic which makes you wake up in class. Her exams aren hard though. If you study, you should do well. If you had trouble passing this class, you might as well pick up a gun and shoot yourself in the face because I don't know how you're going to handle the rest of life. Easy A in my opinion. She pretty much spoon-feeds you all the info for the exams in an outline so you won't have to read any textbook. I gotta admit... her teaching method works too.

However, too many tests in this class, and the Final exam is an overkill. It is probably designed to reduce the number of A grades and to give the course and the college a tougher look.

Dr.Wade turns an otherwise uninspired topic into a class that you want to attend. She is very knowledgeable and present the information clearly. As long as you are willing to make the effort to do the work in her class you will be successful. She breaks the class down systematically and gives student plenty of opportunity.

DR. Wade is probably the best professor a Harbor College. YOu can tell she care about what she does, and it shows in her delivery. DO NOT BUY THE BOOK!! Everything done off of her notes. Do not buy the book.If you have a good memory, this class will be an easy A. 111 pages of notes which you can obtain from a prior student. 3 tests worth 100 points each, and a final worth 200. She is an excellent professor who can actually author a book, Microbiology for dummies.. She will put everything in layman's terms for you to understand.

She is very passionate about what she does, and will help you if you are willing to put in the effort. I got a B in the class but and I am not sad about it in anyway, you get what you put into it. You need to buy her notes from the bookstore but you do not need the textbook, though it seemed helpful for some as a supplement. Dr. Wade is an easy-going, enthusiastic teacher who loves doing her job and does it with a passion. Micro is not an easy class and like most science classes you will get what you put into it. Dr. Wade has become one of my all time favorite professors! Micro is a tough subject, lots to learn, but Dr. Wade gives amazing analogies. Buy the lecture notes and follow along, study and you will do well on tests. She uploads all her notes on Etudes just in case you missed anything. Her final is cumulative, so keep your notes.

The tests and quizzes do have extra credit in them and she offers extra credit if you make 25 questins before an exam. if you want an an youll get an A easy. i got 100% in her lab easily.

I took this medical term course online. It is great nd really easy. Professor communicates very well nd constantly emails us with reminders. The book is very expensive, but honestly you do not need the book (you will find all the answers on quizlet or google). My advice is buy the previous edition of the book. It is cheaper and exactly the same.

It was a real bummer that just a few weeks into the semester we had to switch to an online platform; I was really looking forward to taking her class. She did an amazing job of switching over her lectures to powerpoint, I felt like I could hear her as I read each week. Hard class but with effort you will do great. 100% recommend her.

Since I am efficient in memorizing and understanding information in a short span of time, this class was very easy for me. Accessible outside of class, which is something I loved about her when I had things to double-check about the lecture. It was just a bummer that I didn't get a chance to harness my microbiology lab skills to its full capacity.

Took Micro for Fall 2020, all online, during COVID times. This class is very, very time consuming. Lots of busy work, but will you get an A, yes, you will. Just do not procrastinate. Very organized and straight forward. Easy to reach the professor regarding any concerns or glitches with the online class.

Took this class winter 2021 all online through mindtap work at own pace although she sets up suggested deadlines to not fall behind. 4 discussions replying to other classmates. Give good feedback on your responses and great at notifying you on the days suggested task.

I took her for winter & it was the easiest class I've ever taken. We used mindmap to do our work & had unlimited attempts for everything! even quizzes and final! All multiple-choice, EVERYTHING is on Quizlet! We have 5 discussion posts all opinion-based. it's a self-paced class, the due date is the last day of class, but she has suggested due dates

The whole class was on a website, and I had no contact with the teacher. If you needed help, Im sure he would be there to assist. The chapters take hours, so spend your time wisely. The information is very heavy, but he gives you until the end of the semester to get all the assignments in.

Very easy class online. She uses the McGraw Hill Connect platform for everything. It is a lot of work weekly, so do not procrastinate, manage your time, and stay on top of it. Everything is due at the end of the semester so you can pace yourself and do the work anytime you want to.

Professor Wade was great for me. Syllabus was clear and straight to the point. The whole class was online, but a lot of information to learn in MICRO. McGraw online was used and syncs with Canvas. As long as you stay on track and do what is recommended for each week, you'll do fine. The Lab simulations were fun.

This class was is A LOT of work! You need to stay on top of your game and NOT procrastinate, otherwise you will fall behind! Just do your work, try your best, and you will do good in the course!

Pretty manageable class over the summer. She uses the cengage website with various modules in each chapter. Can be slightly time-consuming just make sure you do not procrastinate and dedicate time to this class. The work is pretty easy and there are weekly discussions.

The class does consist of many assignments but they are all manageable as the work is easy. The professor made the course rigorous but also fair. Professor Wade is extremely kind, gives feedback on discussions, and replies to emails promptly. All work is done through McGraw Hill but it's easy to navigate. I do suggest taking this course!!

This online class is a lot of work, but manageable if you stay on top of it. The McGraw Hill assignments can be tedious, but using Unstuck ai and other study tools helped me stay on track. Professor Wade is kind and responsive, making the course fair despite the heavy workload.

The professor herself is nice but everything is on McGraw Hill and there are over 200 assignments, BUT she does allow all the assignments to be due at the end of the semester so that's great but don't hold out on it or you will fall behind. TIP: there is a mcgraw Hill aid extension for SB assig. & use Microsoft edge copilot for others

Oh my gosh, never want to look at Mcgraw Hill after the hundreds of assignments we had to do. She's a very kind lady and the class is very easy but I think I would've learned better if we had less assignments that were more specific.

It's a McGraw Connect class. She owes me an optometrist appointment. My eyes burn from being on the screen so long. Easy A tho

Overall, she's a nice prof. The workload isn't too bad as long as you have good time management and not fall behind on the suggested due dates. It just takes so much time since it's mostly McGraw Hill assignments, not to mention there is so much work on each chapter. It's an easy A if you put in the time and effort to complete everything.

BIO033 is a hefty course. Even though she states it's a self paced class, it's definitely not especially with the due dates she has on the assignments. I would recommend treating this class as if it's two because there's a lot of assignments per chapter and if you want to stay on top of it, do one chapter a week.

Pretty easy going class. There are only a few due dates through out the semester where a few weeks worth of assignments are due. All of the work is in Cengage so the professor doesn't really teach.

Dr Wade is amazing. Took her for Micro, its a lot of work and I really mean that. Id say maybe over 200 assignments, but that does not mean its hard. You can reattempt every assignment until you get full credit excluding quizzes and exams. Even on the quiz she lets you check your answer. Easy A show up do the work dont fall behind.

Dr Wade was very informative and everything came from her personal notes that she wrote on the board herself and each student just copied. Everything on the test came from the her notes. She also made lab very fun!!
