ALOT OF WORK! Very good teacher, and clear but do the work!! Pretty challenging
A very personable and helpful individual. A lot of reading and work. Seems to enjoy what he does. *smile*
Great professor. I can't stand history and he got me more interested in it. Class is much more fun and beneficial for those who participate a lot!
Nice guy. Gives lots of opportunities for extra credit.
tons of extra credit, way interesting. class was fun to go to and homework wasnt too much. really nice and passionate teacher
Prof. Hopkins is one of my favorite professors so far. He's an awesome guy. You really have to read up for the tests he gives, don't just wing it. I learned a lot from this class.
I took the video course each time and it was so easy. He offers a lot of extra credit. Do it! He also let you use notes on the midterm and final so take good ones!
he's a real cool teacher doesn't take attendance but you should show up cause there are lots of little things you have to do, lots of quizzes and extra credit, very easy if you complete all assignments, learn a lot
i took the video and it was great. he gives tons of extra credit and overall a great easy class
Incredible teacher. My favorite of all time. This man is absolutely amazing. I hope i have dozens of professors like him. He is the ultimate in good teaching and caring about what he does.
total bad ass
One of my very favorites at Moorpark! Never boring. Class was challenging but not too much so. Encourages discussion, different opinions, and does not take sides. Would DEFINITELY take another class from.
OMG!!! awesome teacher, gives extra credit, and doenst take attendance. Very clear & doesn't make you snooze off! I was supposed to fail, never came to class and failed some tests- but somehow I got a C and passed! WAYYY NICE TEACH
AWESOME! you were one of the best teachers i have ever had! hope you read this, hopkins!
I LOVED THIS CLASS
Great teacher. Gave some small tests and quizes, 2 exams & a final. 1st exam, take-home essay. 2nd exam, scantron & 1 bluebook essay. Final was all scantron. Gives plenty of chances for extra credit. Keep up w/reading & pay attention & you should be fine.
I took the video course and it was decently easy. lets you use notes and lots of easy extra credit. He was funny. I would definately take another class with him
Very funny and informative. Will help you with anything. Very accepting, fun person. Will make you laugh. Gives lots of extra credit at the end of the semester. Easy A if you do the extra credit.
He is an awesome teacher. Very helpful, funny, and there is a lot of extra credit. Perfect for anyone looking to take a us history course where you have fun and learn.
I'll be back for the 7B TV course!!
horrible teacher
He was so unclear! Bad Teacher!
Hopkins was awesome. He was a fun, easy going guy who never took attendance and offered a good amount of extra credit. Tests were fairly easy and he adapts to the group of students he has.
he is an awesome guy! he's pretty funny, and everything he teaches is pretty interesting. You can tell he really cares about his students, and tries to help you out as much as possible!
I took his video class. He was nice and let us take notes on the videos and use them on the tests, but the tests were pretty hard! There were several people in that class because they didn't pass the previous semester. If you decide to do the video course, study hard and make sure to use the book.
Kind, considerate, caring. The extra credit helped a lot. Learned more than from any other classes so far. Changed my outlook on several issues and dramatically increased my understanding of American society. For the telecourse READ THE BOOK, w/videos as the supplement. Notes often allowed on tests!
Best teacher I ever had!! Best class I ever had!! Wish he could teach all my classes. Thank you Mr. Hopkins for making learning fun.
Don't take Hopkins! His class was crazy it was like being in first grade ( you know kids yelling, screaming, fighting). On top of that he's very disorganized. He's a nice guy but a horrible teacher.
Nice guy, easy going, but doesnt exactly throw everything at you, he will side-step questions and make students answer them which isnt always that helpful. If you go to class and take notes you should have no problem getting a "B" in the class
Mr. Hopkins is an awesome history teacher. He gives lots of extra credit to help you if you need it, and is open for questions. Knows his stuff. Tends to be ~5 late to class each day. Gives lots of quizes. Take good notes, write down what he puts on the board. Final was kinda tough but you should still do well as long as you study.
Hopkins ios the best teacher I have ever had. He brings the subject to life and I would take his class over and over if I was able. A real inspiration, and defines what the perfect professor should be. SImply the best, most understandable, all-around professor at Moorpark College
I took the video course. you need to do the work. you can use notes for the test. he also offers easy extra credit. go to the review sessions and pick up a few ec points as well. use the questions in the study guide for an easy A!
Great guy and good teacher.
I studied my ass off in this class, I did all of the extra credit stuff, did lots of outside research and got a lousy grade of C. A nice guy, but grades very, very tuff. If you your not concerned about your GPA being dragged down, take him. You Need to remind him constantly when your class assignments are due, or he'll schedule them early on you.
nice guy but the class is confusing and doesn't relate to the book. he also lost my paper!
This is one of the best classes ever. The material was easy to understand, and the teacher made the time in class fly by. On top of that, he offered new easy extra credit every week. I got an A in the class and I did not study for one test, not even the final exam.
One of the best classes and teachers i have had. He was incredibly respectful and fair. He knows the subject well and has one of the best teaching techniques i've seen.
Prof. Hopkins is one of the most passionate teachers I have ever had the pleasure to be taught by. His techniques are very beneficial and his tests are not too hard if you have studied. He is a highly intelligent man and knows his stuff very well. I highly recommend taking one of his classes!!
Interesting topic: social and political history of the US. He overdid it with the workload. I was overwhelmed (and generally very good with managing my time). Take if you are prepared to work your butt off. Very nice guy. A little strange but what professor isn't.
This was a fast paced course..a lot of reading with not a lot of time to complete it. The due dates for: assignments, projects and test are somewhat negotiable to say. He tends to forget a lot of things. The class was cool...he made it pretty interesting with discussions and excercises, so i enjoyed it.
Hes a very good teacher. I have taken him twice and enjoyed his classes a lot. However he does give a huge massive unneeded assignment that stressed me beyond belief. I would recommend him attendence doesnt matter just make sure you dont miss the little quizes because you cant make it up. Hes a great techer gets his point across and you can tell th
Time-management is his biggest problem. He tends to give too much work in so little time and a lot of it is unnecessary. In lecture, he is engaging and knowledgable about the subject matter. He is a bit disorganized n does now allow enough time for assignments. Towards the end of the semester, he starting cramming a lot in to make up for lost time.
Very good teacher. alot of lecturing but I learned alot from his class.
his class is insane! mad crazy tests, alot of unnecessary work and lecturing! does offer extra credit, but once again alot of work for not alot of points! however, he is a nice guy but i dont think i would ever willing take another class with him! spare yourselves and stay far away!
This guy is really cool, but man his tests are hard. I took the video and I watched them all and it seemed like 10% of the test was from the video. He gives so much extra credit though that you should be able to get an A. I guess the review sessions probably help. He's real nice.
cool guy but was very disorganized and confusing. thought we had tests on days we didn't but thought we didn't have tests on days we did. tests are really hard too but makes up for it with tons of EC. Don't really reccommend taking him.
Great teacher, truly listens to students and makes sure they understand the information. Offers tons of EC and also group work to help remember the info!! Huge Help! Best history teacher if you are not that into history! Great guy too!
If you want to be completely ignored by your teacher this is the class to take. Hopkins responded to none of the emails I sent requesting grade information. He is slow and disorganized, after our midterm it took him over a month to get us back our scantron test. Take someone else who has more respect for their students.
He's a ****.
His tests are hard and for his (long and boring) lectures he just talks verbally without having anything written down, so if you are a visual person i wouldnt recommend him at all. He also grades extremely hard on the essays and doesnt tell you what he wants.
He’s a horrible teacher. He’s unorganized and don’t bother trying to reach him out of class. He gives you nothing to base your essays off of and then gives you bad grades. Save yourself the time and take this class from a better teacher.
Very nice teacher, funny makes class kinda of interesting. Impossible to reach out of class, called and emailed numerous times and never got a resoponse. Fairly easy tests, and gives tons of easy extra credit.
Gives alot of opportunities for e/c. Many people thought it was a tough class. Grades on tests were low. His syllabus was very clear. He lets you know what he wants from you and what is required He has a hard time getting your grades to you in a timely manner. He does a review b-4 both the midterm and final that are very helpful on the tests.
HE IS AN AWESOME TEACHER THE BEST HISTORY TEACHER I HAVE EVER TAKEN ..HE EXPLAINS CLEARLY AND MAKES IT EASY TO LISTEN TO HIM..HE IS NOT ONLY A GREAT TEACHER BUT SEEMS LIKE AN AWESOME GUY! HIS CLASSES ARE NEVER BORING ..HE IS UNDERSTANDING AND ALWAYS WILLING TO HELP AND DOESNT MAKE U FEEL STUPID IF U HAVE A DUMB QUESTION! MY FAV AT MPC
I took the telecourse which is self taught material. His test were harder than they needed to be. He offers EC but if his test were not so difficult you wouldn't need it. He will destroy your GPA, do not take him. He takes too long to give test results and does not return emails or phone calls.
This is the T.V Course. Worst Teacher ever. His tests are WAY too hard! I had a 3.7 GPA that is now ruined. Takes forever to give grades back. Doesn't email you back. This must be his first T.V class, because he has no idea what he's doing. Don't take him!
He was very annoying. He didn't give mid-term grades until nearly the day of the final. Never answered any of my questions that were sent by e-mail, even after he repeatedly said e-mail was the best way to contact him. The tests were way more difficult then they needed to be. Over a week since the term ended and we still don't know our grades.
This teacher is a joke. For a tv class he is completely unorganized. Took a month to get mid term grades and then gave everyone at least a C because of his incomptency of grading them in a timely matter. Sending emails is like sending them to never never land. He never returns them. U dont even know how he got to your grade. Will ruin your GPA!
I'm a History lover, but this guy is something else. His tests are hard and plain tricky, took a month to grade the midterm and the final. I did all the work (except extra credit), studied hard and got a stinking C! Don't bother e-mailing him or leave him messages, because he doesn't respond. I wouldn't take him again!
I've taken Professor Hopkins twice (M07A/B)televideo and got an A both times. Do the extra credit, its easy and sometimes fun and allows for an easy A. He's also really easy to listen to when talking about history.
this guy is a ****....i did all my work & he gave me an incomplete.
Good teacher if you like high school format. Lots of reading, seems like a nice guy. Pretty biased about slavery reparations--didn't need to make that evident.
GREAT MAN!...GREAT TEACHER..!! GREAT PERSON!!! He is cool!!
i loved this man. he is solid gold. by far one of my favorite teachers. he is easy to listen to, and i never had a class i didn't enjoy. also, he really makes you learn the information. lots of extra credit offered... GO to the huntington library. take him!!
Syllabus riddled with errors [spelling/grammatical/due date&assignment requirement oriented]. Never responds to Emails, yet strongly advises using Email for contact. Almost 2 weeks since the course ended and has yet to post grades; I find that unacceptable because only approximately 20 people were in the class with only 1 real assignment {a paper}.
The essay paper is easily easy if you follow directions. The exams though, is extremely hard and VERY detailed into history that you need to read line for line in order to remember everything. He goes give extra credit though. But don't expect him to answer our emails or calls. He is pretty bad at doing so; trying to communicate with him is hard
I took a TV course so there is not much I can say about his teaching style. I can comment on the exams which were unusually hard for the subject matter. Very detailed questions on history which require detailed reading of the book. The extra credit and book report make it easy to make up bad grades on exams though. Easy B. A if you read and review.
Oh what can I say about Ranford Hopkins! I love history and I am glad I got him as a teacher! He makes jokes during lectures and kept me interested. His tests were somewhat difficult, Not impossible by any means. TONS of extra credit opportunities. Take him! You will love it!
I never went to class, missed lots of stuff and he was so understanding and accepted and helped me makeup late work. Hard tests but with all the extra credit easy A or B
great teacher, very nice, gives so much extra credit only thing is that his tests are hard... really tricky. you dont have to show up to class unless theres a test or quiz but if you do he lets you make it up. makes class interesting. love him!
Awesome professor! So much extra credit - he really works with you to help you get the grade you want! Best professor I've ever had!
He's an awesome teacher. He is really enthusiastic about the subject, and keeps you interested. He even dressed up in character for a class discussion! He's a really nice guy, and is always willing to help. He lets you re-write essays, and make-up tests if you were absent. &is very willing to change the class schedule based on vote.
Really Easy. I took the Online class and he basically gives you an A. All the test have practice versions he goes over before each test so you know about half the answers already. Papers are easy and there is ALOT of extra credit.
I was really worried after reading some bad review about him regrading the telecourse. But it was a really easy class.Just complete your assignments and watch videos and study from text and you will get an A.A lot of extra credit assignments.Take him , you will not regret.
really easy class I took it as a televideo as long as you study with the guide he gives you, you'll do great! he's really nice and wants you to pass
I love it when professors are unbiased and show a lot of enthusiasm for the subject they teach. Xtra cred provided if you need it. He makes the subject fun and entertaining. An overall great and intelligent teacher.
Got an A in the honors class. Great professor, really cares about the subject and his students. Tends to spend a lot of time on the civil war and civil rights movement. Lots of extra credit offered, impossible to fail and easy to get an A. Class can get boring sometimes though. But definitely recommend!
I took both M07A&B w/Hopkins online. He is a amazing professor. Offer lots of extra credit to take advantage of and is very well spoken. Wish I took his in classroom course since he is great at lectures and is very interesting to listen to. As long as you study the book and do the entire review quiz, which you can use at test class is a easy A!
Great professor!! SUPER SMART, funny, kind, honest. Encourages individual thoughts politically correct or not (obviously as long as comments / thoughts not offensive or disrespectful). He is very clear with everything. Participate, go to lecture and read your HW CH. and you should do great!! Learned A LOT, super interesting.
Mr. Hopkins iS BY FAR THE WORST TEACHER I HAVE EVER HAD. I took his black history class and could not believe how disorganized he was. He forgot dates, gave the class info that contradicted the text book. He was extremely condescending to a few students in the class. Was only helpful to the black students in the class.
I could not agree anymore with the negative comment below. Mr. Hopkins is a horrible teacher It is clear that he has no control In his personal life and has power trips with the class. Is extremely rude, and on top of it does not know his stuff. Two weeks before the semester is over, not a single person has an a in the class.. What does that say???
I had dreams of becoming a history major... Ranford crushed them
I was just going to comment on how good looking he was, but felt the need to contribute otherwise based on the comments below. You will never find a prof more helpful and accommodating. He loves his subject and it shows through his oratory skills. Hilarious. Assignments are all doable and lots of extra credit. definitively handsome aw yee.
Boring class by all means. This teacher gets wrapped up in personal life and half the time all assignments had to be pushed back. We had a test the last class before finals?!?? Take another history teacher, there are better ones at moorpark.
Great professor, sometimes really disorganized. He's super friendly, and if you're willing to put in the effort to learn, he'll be there to guide you. He went to UC Berkeley so he knows his stuff.
Hopkins is great! He is passionate about what he teaches. I barely tried and I got a B (had an A all semester, but i didn't study for the final). Honestly, you have to be extremely lazy to not be able to pass this class. If you need help with anything Hopkins will gladly do so.
Good teacher, class goes by fast and he is funny. He is unorganized and often spent half the class getting ready. Grades hard but offers extra credit and other easy work to make up for it.
Overall good professor... Due dates would change fairly frequently. The class is VERY end weighted with nearly 50% of the points coming on the last unit test and the cumulative final. Studying is a must to do well on these last two exams!
He is a very nice proffessor and has a good sense of humor. Due dates were always pushed back. Quizzes were relatively easy. Bulk of the points are at the very end with it being about 60% i would say. This means the very last 3 weeks are most of your grade. Final was a nightmare (cumulative) Make sure to study
Really good teacher. Very passionate about the subject, and is dedicated to making sure everyone understands things. He wants everyone to pass, and will let you rewrite things in order to do so. He does take attendance. He offers a lot of extra credit, take advantage of it!! Most of the grade is earned towards the last month of class. final is hard!
Hopkins is a great teacher. You can tell he really enjoys his job and has a real interest in the subject. He gives great notes and always goes over some of the info before a test. You really need to have your book or else you wont do well, but he isn't really clear with what chapter you're on but if you follow along you will do well.
he lets you use notes on most quizes so you do well.
He is a great professor with a kind heart. He is very honest, helpful, understanding, and intelligent all around.I got an A in the class even though I failed the 1st test, because he offers A LOT of e.c. To do well you have to read the ch.'s bc he does not go over everything in class. I would recommend this teacher to anyone.
I would say he is a solid instructor, and I had a positive experience. He's very passionate about what he teaches, and seems very approachable. He tends to kind of pile on the assignments, but is willing to change the due dates if the class asks. There is a lot of extra credit too, so it's pretty easy to raise your grade. Oh, and do the reading.
made class enjoyable. Good note taking is mandatory. gives quizzes on the chapters you read. test are straight from the notes you take. alot of extra credit
One of the nicest people i have ever met. He has a great sense of humor which helps during some of his lectures. Read the book and show him that you know history and you will be set.
He is a really nice guy, but I hated the class. He was very unorganized !
This class was ridiculously challenging. For a student with a GPA higher than 3.84, this class is not at all easy and you must spend every second to detail. You will have several quizzes, with nothing pertaining to the chapters you read or lectures. If you want to do well in this class, read every note and chapter thoroughly. I am not exaggerating
It is close to impossible to score well on his tests. So many of the questions have several possible answers or are based on opinion. He is unorganized and the syllabus he gave to us was always wrong.
Anyone who says hopkins is a terrible teacher must just not enjoy school in general. He is one of the coolest nicest most helpful teachers Ive ever had. Lets us use notes on quizzes and gives tons of extra credit! he even let us use notes on our first major exam. He is very clear on what he expects and will help you if you need it
Nice guy but does NOT teach the class. Completely unorganized and off schedule. If you HAVE TO take his class, be sure to focus really only on the textbook. The lectures weren't needed. I could have skipped class every day and still passed. There was no preparation for what we needed to know on any of the quizzes or tests. No wonder we all failed.
I couldn't stand this class. So many of the test and quiz questions were vague or a matter of opinion. It is very hard to get an A. The class is very unorganized. He changed the syllabus so much that I stopped trying to follow along.
Nicest man. Class is pretty easy if you do the all the readings. He gives so much extra credit its ridiculous! Do the extra credit because his quizzes are pretty vague/difficult. Read the assigned material, take notes on lectures, study! your sure to get an A.
Lots of quizzes throughout the different units and one cumulative final exam. This was definitely one of my harder classes for the semester. Professor Hopkins likes to hear a lot of input from the students, so voice your opinions especially on discussions and essays. He provides many extra credit opportunities, so that saved my grade.
His lectures were kind of pointless, mainly everything was from the book and you HAVE to read. He's passionate about teaching history but pretty boring and his class was difficult because his quiz questons were very vague. I would not recommend taking his class.
Completely disorganized. I had no idea what was due when, he even said "I'm glad you aren't filling out my teacher reviews, because I really messed up this class". Well, thanks for that professor. Ended with a B. P.S. For Honors U.S. History, don't bother reading the expensive textbook he tells you to buy, none of the tests/quizzes are on it.
Hopkins is actually a really great teacher. I agree with the person below in that he was pretty disorganized because his syllabus doesn't really have dates so each class is crucial since he changes due dates all the time. He give a good amount of extra credit, but he doesn't just give it to you, you have to work for it and earn it. I learned a lot
This man truly loves what he teachers! He is so adorable! Very friendly to all students! Super nice man! He can be a little unorganized at times and his test were difficult and I did bad on most of them and still pulled off a B! Overall though he is GREAT!!! Highly recommend taking his class! He is awesome! :)
I didn't find Professor Hopkins to be very bad or good. He has a good sense of humor, and a good method of teaching: but, he is a bit disorganized.
Hopkins is a great professor and an even more genuine person. If every professor were like him, students would be in a better place to succeed. Tough quizzes, must read textbook. Exams and Final weren't too bad. He's an honest guy and has a passion for teaching, and he's extremely with what material you need to know for tests.
He is a really great and nice guy. Lots of extra credit opportunities. However, the class is unorganized and its hard to know exactly what is due and when. He will just say "this, this, and this should be done around this time". Just not clear, hard to follow, doesnt stick with syllabus, and you just feel like youre on your own basically.
He's a great teacher & person! So sweet and reasonable! I do agree he can be unorganized but he gives out his cell number on his syllabus so you can reach him immediately if needed. Just read the book and you'll be fine in the course. I would definitely recommend him.
He is such a nice passionate teacher and loves his job. His class has a lot of point to earn but a lot a lot of extra credit. Reading the textbook is super important but also very interesting.
Really sweet guy, makes cheesy jokes but cares about the material and does his best to keep you interested. You will have to read the textbook and put work into the class. Show up, take notes, read the book and you will do good. Not a lot of homework.
He's a really nice guy and loves his job, however he is extremely passionate about history that his quizzes and tests sometimes aren't based off the textbook.
Enjoyed the class untill the last 2 weeks. We had 2 tests in one day and the period after that we had the final i have ever seen. Ridiculous. I had a 104 untill the final, but i think i failed or near failed the final so idk what my grade is going to be. Def dont recommend him. Very tough to get an A. Also he is unorganized.
Probably the nicest guy I have ever met in my entire life. Super cool and funny but wow his class was hard. EVERYTHING is crammed until the very end and a very hard final. Im pretty sure everyone in the class failed it to be honest. The other tests are pretty hard unless you really read the book and take a lot of notes.
He is a very passionate, respectful, and educated professor. I really enjoyed the class, but it was not easy. He is also quite funny and really gets you interested in history. I will definitely be taking another class from him.
Very disorganized, lectures don't really have anything to do with the material, doesn't tell you what to read so you're stuck reading 40pgs of the chapter to make sure you cover it since he won't. The tests didn't have anything to do with his lectures even though he says they do. He also isn't helpful if you ask questions to try to help yourself.
Nicest and funniest guy ever! Yeah he can be a bit disorganized at times, but honestly he's so chill that I didn't even care. Also if you ask for more help or clarity, he will give it gladly. I laughed and had fun with him all the time in our class. And unlike most history classes I've had, I did have a decent time in this one and would take again!
I had Mr. Hopkins for Honors U.S History. He is a great teacher who really cares about his students and is always willing to help. As long as you pay attention and study you will pass. His lectures are enjoyable and highly recommend him. The research paper isn't to tough and he is a semi lenient grader when it comes to essays.
one of the greatest teachers i have ever taken. although the material can be rather slow at times, you can tell this man loves his job and students
You know this teacher - "the nice guy". He is super duper human, and relates the class to modern day happenings. His disorganization is his only weakness, which caused me to feel uneasy about my grade, but in the end it all worked out. Just pay attention in class (notesgood), refresh on prior knowledge of US History, and you should be good to go.
Professor Hopkins is a great profesor and human being, kind, funny and smart. His class are really interesting even if you do not like History, like my case. You will find enjoyeble his lecture. His disorganizaiton can make you go crazy throughout the whole semester. Take a good notes and try to do all the extra credit that he offers.
Professor Hopkins is a great man. He does stray off topic during class once in a while and can be a little disorganized, but he does bring in good discussion which is fun. Class is pretty easy as long as you put in pretty minimal effort.
Excellent Professor. Really nice guy. Lectures are jam packed with a lot of information but he does a good job covering it. Not many tests or quizzes. Highly recommended.
Easy-A big time. He mainly grades based on reading rather than lecture, so just prepare for that. He offers so much extra credit so it's tough not to pass his course. Very reasonable and kind. Would recommend him to anyone. Take him!
He asked our class for our opinion on things but when I gave my views on a hot political topic, that differed from his, he took it out on me. As long as you don't give out any opinions that differ from his, he is nice.
Hopkins is the best!!! He's the cutest and sweetest man ever. His lectures are interesting and he makes them funny too. He's an amazing teacher and I'd recommend him to anyone. Take him if you have the opportunity to.
Cool guy, but his teaching is messy. He was unorganized & did not follow the syllabus. Squeezed in a bunch of tests the last month of school. The very last week of class we had one test on Monday, then another test on Wednesday, then our final the following week. IF you like history and you read the book you'll do great..
Professor was Reachable, caring and understanding. However, not always sticking to the specific due dates or following syllabus. Funny stories.
The professor was super unorganized, never graded our papers on time, and rarely gave them back to us. He strayed a lot from the syllabus which caused him to cram in tests and quizzes the last two weeks of class. He told jokes that could sometimes be offensive to some people, and was often late to class resulting in letting the class out late.
Great professor really helped me out in a time of need and I couldn't be more grateful to have had him as a professor.
Somewhat easy online class, he gives extra credit if you go beyond the simple expectations on some written assignments. Lots of questions straight from the book
A whole lot to read
He is a good professor.
(Online) Easy A if you're a "quizlet user". I don't know how I would have passed the finals just by studying the book. Very test heavy. Lets you watch videos and movies in place of a lecture which was great.
Easy A. Id take this prof if I were you. He always extends assignments and rarely responds to emails. overall if you do the bare minimum you should be good. also incase you already forgot ITS AN EASY A.
Lots of reading, but that's to be expected with a history class. He doesn't grade at a reasonable pace at all, so it's kind of difficult to meet his expectations if you don't know what they are. Overall, a very average experience.
Super nice professor and responded back fast. A bit unorganized though, free textbook. There were weekly quizzes and the only way to do well on them is by reading the chapters from the textbook. He gave a lot of extra credit and was super easy going but there is a lot of reading. You have a good chance of getting an A and he is a nice guy!
Professor Hopkins is a nice guy but does not have a good mastery of the Canvas platform, which results in challenges like questions being left blank and duplicate questions or answers. The questions themselves have a lot of ambiguity and make it difficult to choose the correct answer. I wouldn't recommend taking an online course with him.
